I’m a bumbling flustered mess reading your enthusiasm for my oc stop I will actually sob SKDJFN it doesn’t take much for anyone to woo her she’s a hopeless romantic at heart 😭 but Luffy did it effortlessly I think it more has to do with like the trust she has given him over time like she’s so used to living life thinking humans, especially pirates, are the scum of the earth and for one to take interest in her in that sort of innocent curiosity way without any malicious intentions behind it made her grow an interest toward him that quickly turned into a crush. And on luffys end I don’t even think he understands how his mind works but he was just very fond of her from the beginning he met her. Like she’s something ripped straight from a fairy tail!! And his fascination towards her also turned into a crush, though he’s more oblivious in regards to his feelings and he never really does anything to act on it in a romantic sense. a signature scent!! I never really thought of that oh my gosh,,, recently I’ve been a fan of like a little idea where she always has flowers sprouting from her hair and the flowers change depending on the emotion so this could translate into her having a fresh flower scent 24/7. Someone in the relationship needs to smell good 😒😒😒 and she isn’t one to add to the chaos! hello!!! sorry for the late reply ): like always hahaah. but wow 3-day course! i’m not sure if it’s the same but i’ve really been into self help books lately. they’re super fun! if you like that type of thing, i think smarter, better, faster by charles duhigg was a really good read and i loved outliers by malcolm gladwell. they’re really good books to start out with. really cool stories in the books that are just so crazy… the mind and the world is just so interesting.

you had known about Seventeen for about 2 years before you met Xu Minghao

you weren’t an avid stan

only knew a few members

only knew about the group because your friend loved to gush about them 24/7

she had forced you to listen to a few of their songs

and made you choose a bias based on the few you’ve seen

of course you only did all these things to appease her

you didn’t really have an interest in the group

you didn’t like being that obsessed with a group, for you wanted to concentrate on your studies

you moved to Korea through a study abroad program

and you rented an apartment in Seoul 

you dabbled a bit in Korean as your best friend had forced you to learn from here

she was Korean

and you were grateful for that

it wasn’t that difficult to navigate around the area

you knew enough to get by

to speak

to communicate

not enough to deliver some fancy speech in your literature class

it was late one day and you hadn’t had your meal yet

so you decided to go to the nearest convenience store

in your dark hoodie

hands stuffed in your pockets

hood on snugly

you just wanted to go in, grab some instant ramen, and leave as quickly as possible

as you sped down the instant ramen aisle

you found that a small group of tall boys crowded around the brand of ramen you were searching for

arguing over which ones to take

and how many to take

“aiiisssshhhhhhh. can you guys hurry? I have an exam to study for”

you didn’t mean to come off like that

you were going to ask nicely

but your hunger and stress took over

the boys looked over at you in shock

one of them quickly spoke

“we’re so sorry for taking so long”

you noticed that he spoke with an accent

he didn’t sound natively Korean

they all had masks on

which

kind of freaked you out for a moment

but then you realized you were in Korea

you watched as they hurriedly grabbed armfuls of ramen from the shelves

and hurried to the register

bowing to you as they went

the boy that spoke to you and apologized 

stopped again to apologize 

“we really are sorry”

“oh no it’s fine”

and he hurried off after the others

you walked over to the ramen shelves to see what they had left behind for you to take

fortunately your favorite type of instant ramen was still there

or you’d be FIGHTING someone

and then you noticed that one of them had left their phone on the shelves

you grabbed it and hurried over to the counter

but they had already left

you paid quickly

rushed outside 

and saw the group walking down quite a ways ahead of you

stuffing the phone into your pocket and clutching your bag of ramen, you sprinted after them

“HEY HEY HEY”

they turned around and looked shocked

they looked ready to run away as fast as they could

“oh no did she recognize us?”

“what do we do what do we do”

“someone call the bodyguards”

“MINGHAO DID YOU SAY SOMETHING TO HER?”

“I DIDNT SAY ANYTHING”

you waved the phone in the air

“WAIT ONE OF YOU FORGOT YOUR PHONE”

you finally caught up to them

and you watched as they all checked their pockets in panic

“oh it’s mine”

the boy who spoke to you 

you handed him his phone

and he thanked you profusely

“goshdangit Minghao” one of the boys said, whacking his back “so careless”

“sorry sorry”

Minghao turned to you

“i’m sorry for causing you so much trouble tonight, miss”

“it’s alright really”

one of the other boys jumped in

“hey, miss, are you from overseas? you have an accent”

“yeah and so does your friend”

“I’m from China” Minghao said helpfully

why was a Chinese boy over in Korea with a bunch of Korean boys for?

“are you doing a study abroad program too?”

Minghao looked confused

“what’s a... study abroad program?” 

he repeated your words slowly, messing up the pronunciation

you watched as the other boys explained it to him

oh so he probably wasn’t

the first thing the program taught you was how to say “study abroad program” in Korean so that others would know why you were

“oh so you don’t know who we are”

“who are you then”

“i suppose we owe you an explanation”

“minghao give her your number”

“so we’re just going to trust a random girl off the streets”

“shush don’t be rude”

...so somehow you got Minghao’s number

...

but his friends failed to consider that maybe both of your Korean wasn’t the best

so texting was extremely difficult

he didn’t understand what you asked him

and you didn’t understand him either

so you never really got to figure out who they were

you and Minghao because pretty close friends though

as you always had to meet in person to speak and do charades for the other to understand

you didn’t understand why he always looked so cautious outside

and why he wore a mask

but it didn’t really matter to you

you fell in love with him easily

what was there not to love?

but you weren’t going to tell him about your growing affections for him

there was still so much the two of you didn’t know about each other

the things you couldn’t communicate

...

alongside that

your best friend, who you still talk to of course, had been continuing to bug you about seventeen 

she spammed you with images and videos of some members

she knew how you felt toward Minghao

although you simply referred to him as MH to her

and she knew that you thought you had unrequited love

so she thought the best way to get over it

was to fall in love with one of her beloved kpop boys

and so

you succumbed to your friend’s wishes

and picked out

Wen Junhui 

as your bias

he was amazingly attractive

Chinese

and his voice was absolutely amazing

have you heard how amazingly he sang to Lilili Yabbay on Ask in a Box??

you watched nothing but clips of just Wen Junhui

you were interested in the boy 

more so than the group

one day when you were out with Minghao getting coffee

you had left your phone on the table to go get in line for coffee

the shop was so crowded you forced Minghao to find a spot and stay there

when you returned with your drinks

you found him sitting there on the single chair

you set the drinks on the table

and easily slung your arm over his shoulder and plopped yourself in his lap

nestling your head in the crook of his neck

you reached to grab your drink

when Minghao shoved your phone in your face

“what is this?

“I can’t see it, Minghao-- oh”

the smiling face of Wen Junhui shone off your lock screen

“do you know who this is??” Minghao asked waving your phone

“uh duh. why else would he my lock screen, Hao?” 

you were laughing, not seeing what the problem was

“you know who Seventeen is?”

Minghao was so close to your face you could feel your cheeks heating up

“...yes that’s where Jun on my lockscreen is from. what has gotten into you, Minghao?”

“is he your Seventeen bias?”

“yeah he is. OH WAIT IS THIS WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT?”

he held his breath

“IS JUN YOUR BIAS TOO? ARE YOU JEALOUS THAT I LOVE HIM SO MUCH?”

“...am I not your bias?”

“Of course not you aren’t my bias. Minghao, you aren’t even--”

he shoved a picture of Seventeen in your face

and pointed at one of the members

you squinted at the screen

“MINGHAO? WTH WHY DO YOU LOOK SO GOOD? YOU’RE IN SEVENTEEN??”

“SEE? WHY IS JUN YOUR BIAS? WHAT DO YOU MEAN IM NOT YOUR BIAS?”

note: you two were shout whispering this

Minghao started it

and you followed

but it was good you did

otherwise reporters would be on y’all in an instant

“I DIDNT EVEN KNOW YOU WERE IN SEVENTEEN”

“HOW COULD YOU NOT”

“IF I KNEW, YOU WOULDVE BEEN MY BIAS I SWEAR. JUN WAS ONLY TO DISTRACT ME FROM REMEMBERING THAT YOU DIDNT LIKE ME BACK---”

the both of you froze

shoot

you scrambled off of him to leave the shop

but he ran after you

outside, he caught up to you easily, grabbing your hand and holding it gently

“who said I didn’t like you back, Y/N?”

“huh?”

“i like you” 

he leaned forward and captured your lips in a gentle kiss

when he pulled away

you were so flustered, you felt as if you were clamming up

“wha- wait- wha-”

“so now that you know I’m in Seventeen, am I your bias?”

you quickly regained your composure

and gave him a flirty wink

“I don’t know, Minghao, Jun really is good looking”

Minghao kissed you again

“hey, from now on, keep your eyes on me. Even if i’m not your bias, you must watch me as your boyfriend”

“since when were you my boyfriend?”

“since now, Y/N”

No Regrets Part 12

It’s great to be writing again. I missed Mia and Daryl a lot haha! I might be putting this story as well as Beauty of a Secret on hold for a bit. It’s not because I lack ideas or anything. It’s because I have 6-7 month old requests in my inbox still that I haven’t done yet and that’s embarrassing and I think I should focus on those first. I don’t know. I haven’t decided how I wanna do this yet.

Don’t Look Back is still on hold at the moment. Ideas are hard. LOL

Over the next few days, Daryl slowly started moving his things into Mia’s house. He hadn’t realized he was doing it until he came back to the group’s house and noticed all his things weren’t there anymore. Everyone had expected it considering he and Mia were having a baby.

After their talk days earlier, Daryl was handling the idea of having a baby much better and Mia caught him glancing at her stomach sometimes and other times, she would wake up to see him moving his hand up and down her stomach. She never moved or gave him any indication that she knew what he was doing otherwise he might stop doing it and she loved it too much to allow it to stop.

Spencer finally backed off but he continued giving the two of them dirty looks whenever he saw them. But as the months passed and Mia had moved past the nausea, exhaustion and general discomfort, she couldn’t care less about what Spencer thought.

“Daryl, aren’t you and Aaron supposed to be focusing on recruiting new people?” Mia chuckled as she sorted through the baby clothes Daryl had brought back from his last trip with Aaron. He’d brought an entire duffel bag filled with clothes, shoes, bottles, and various toys. She held up a pair of booties and grinned, “Although, I can’t get enough of these things. Look at how tiny these are!”

“Don’t really know what I grabbed,” Daryl said, picking up a teething ring, “Just cleared out shelves and grabbed whatever could fit. When I’ve got time, I’ll look for a crib.”

“We might have one lying around,” Mia said, “I don’t want you leaving here too much. I get so worried when you go out there.”

“We need people,” Daryl countered, placing his hand on her slightly rounded stomach, “And the little one needs supplies. He or she ain’t gonna wait forever.”

“It’s gonna be another five months before we have to worry about that,” Mia said, “Just try and keep the runs to a minimum, okay? Please?”

Daryl sighed heavily, “Alright, alright. So, how’s the little one doing, anyway? Hangin’ in there?”

“I’ve started feeling little flutters,” Mia replied, “Nothing that you can feel from the outside but I’m pretty sure he or she is trying to let us know they’re here.”

Daryl looked back at all the clothes Mia had laid out on the coffee table and he started fidgeting, tucking his hands under his arms, “Think I’ll be a decent dad?”

“It’s not always gonna be easy,” Mia said, “But I think you’ll be an amazing dad. I heard how you were when Judith was born. You’re a natural. Why do you ask that?”

“I just…I don’t…” Daryl took a deep breath, “I don’t even know what being a dad is. Only thing mine was ever good for was teachin’ me to hunt and knockin’ me from room to room.”

“Daryl,” Mia said, wrapping her arms around his shoulders to kiss his cheek, “You’re gonna be a much better father than your father was. This little baby has so much love from their daddy waiting for them and they’re not even born yet. Would your dad have done all of the things you’re doing now?”

“No, probably not,” he muttered, “So, you trust me?”

Mia nodded, “The things your dad did, it’s not hereditary. You’re nothing like him. If I thought for even a moment that you would hurt me or this baby, I wouldn’t have you here with me. I know the kind of person you are.”

Daryl scoffed, his cheeks turning a little pink as he turned away, “Yeah. We’ll see.”

“Don’t be so hard on yourself,” Mia said, “I’ve never been so sure of anything, Daryl.”

He would never get used to how kind and gentle Mia was. He could never get how she just had an answer for everything. How could she be so sure of everything all the time? Especially when it came to him. What if he was the worst thing that could ever happen to her or their baby? All he wanted was for them to be happy and safe but what if he couldn’t do that? What if he wanted these things too badly and it would all be ripped away from him?

“Daryl,” Mia said, breaking his train of thought. She reached out and grabbed his hand, placing it back on her belly, “I can’t promise it’ll be great all the time but I can promise that you’re never gonna love anything as much as this little person.”

Daryl opened his mouth to say something but stopped himself. He wanted so desperately to tell her how much he loved her but he couldn’t find the courage. He cracked a smile, rubbing small circles into her belly but kept his mouth shut.

“Well, I’m gonna go put this stuff away and then lie down for a while,” Mia said, grunting as she pushed herself off the couch. Gathering all the clothes and supplies back into the bag, she smiled at Daryl over her shoulder, “Thank you for all this. You should get some rest too. It’s been a long day.”

Daryl gave Mia a nod and she threw the bag over her shoulder, heading for the staircase. Daryl’s heart pounded against his chest as he watched her go. He had to say it sometime, right? Why the hell did he have to be afraid all the time?

“Mia,” he said. She had taken one step up the stairs before stopping and looking back at him. He stood up from the couch, tucking his hands into his pockets. It felt like his throat had closed and he couldn’t breathe. But she deserved to hear it. He hadn’t really said a lot of nice things to her when she had nothing but nice things to say.

“I just um, I wanted to say that…” Daryl muttered, “That I…I…I um…might be too soon to say but…but I…”

Mia smiled, “Daryl.”

“Yeah?”

“I love you too.”

“Always savin’ my ass.”

“Even the toughest people need a little help sometimes,” Mia said, “Don’t need to be afraid anymore, Daryl.”

Ew, fillers. Ew, cheesy fluff. Okay…I’m kind of living for the cheesy fluffy filler so…hopefully you all are too hahahaha! Anyways, wanted to get this quick little update.

Jimmy sighs, twirling Knifey in his hand as he stares up at the ceiling. "I think Ghosty Boy has been going to therapy."

He stops twirling Knifey and holds them up to his face. "Because I haven't been able to possess him in months!"

...

"Lost fan favor?! HAHAHA!" Jimmy throws Knifey into the wall. "DON'T EVEN JOKE ABOUT THAT!"

...

"I'm not being immature, you are!"

...

"I know you're cranky from lack of stabbing, I AM TOO! I've been trying to-"

Suddenly Knifey glitches out of the wall, clatters around the room for a minute, and then embeds itself in Jimmy's chest. He thumps to the ground, and respawns a moment later with a look of pure betrayal.

"We're supposed to be friends!"

...

"I stab my other friends using you to include you! I'M NOT THE ONE YOU STAB!"

...

"I can't believe we're fighting like this! Are we really this desperate for blood right now?!"

...

"What if we kill Spooker? ... I know that's gotten old, but what else do we have right now?! I guess we could stab Wilford- what do you mean his blood is too sweet? You got a cavity? I didn't know knives could get cavities. What about stabbing Anti? ... Too metallic tasting? You're MADE of METAL!"

...

"You're being completely unreasonable right now! I should leave you in Ghost's bag again, how would you like that? Huh? Hahahaha! You ungrateful-"

"Ahem."

Jimmy looks up at the doorway, and sees Anti and Wilford standing there. Wilford is nodding sympathetically, eyes closed. Anti is looking at Jimmy with nothing short of bewilderment.

Jimmy blushes, and hides Knifey behind his back. "How ong have you been there?" he squeaks.

Jimmy gasps, offended. "Knifey and I are friends, not married! How dare you disrespect our platonic closeness!"

"I understand," Wilford says solemnly. Anti looks at him with shock and confusion. Wilford nods at Anti, and looks at Jimmy again. "I had to scold a gun once for trying to interrupt a conversation with an old friend! Weapons are feisty little things."

Jimmy doesn't seem comforted by this. "That was sort of a private conversation."

Everyone stands around, silent and completely unsure of what to say or do.

"... Want to go hunt down portals to Tale character worlds?" Jimmy mumbles after a minute.
