two years!! :D it’s been two years since my final curtain call and seven years since Jimlingss began! Seven years!!! Now that’s a crazy yet meaningful number!

Hello to everyone reading this message :D hopefully you remember me (it’s ok if you don’t) and for those who care, hopefully this is a treat! just a quick update on my life — I successfully completed my first year of law school and what a whirlwind it’s been. 

I’ve had so many ups and downs in the past year and I honestly feel like I’ve changed a lot. like evolved from pichu to pikachu. It was my first time moving away from home, away from my parents, and making so many friends. it’s been 20% bitter and 80% sweet. overall, I feel like I’ve learnt so much about myself and became a lot more stable in who I am.

school is hard but completely manageable. luckily, I don’t think my choice was wrong. there are days I quite enjoy what I’m learning. I got 2 years left in the game. soon (hopefully) I’ll be making the big bucks $$$ and I’ll be able to fund my sugar baby dreams (except I’ll also be my own sugar mommy). Although my dating life is as stale as always with 0 movement, I’ve become close with a handful of folks that I hold dearly to my heart. guess I’m in my friendship arc hahahaha

funny enough, I actually came back to this blog out of my own volition 2 weeks ago and re-read some of my stories. I feel so nostalgic. some of my stories really slap ngl. anyway, I really miss creative writing so much. Fortunately, there’s a few extracurriculars at school that allow me to write creatively so it’s somewhat of an outlet for me. it’s not fully satisfying but it’s something!!

You know the question isn’t directed to you, it always makes you feel small whenever they talk about you as though you aren’t there, small and cared for.

“Yeah I think that sounds good, I’ll go make us some tea. Maybe sit on the couch? I’ll grab some blankets.”

“Couch sounds good. Baby?” Jimin nudges you, drawing your attention back. “Couch?”

You nod. “I thought you had work?”

“I told her that we had another day off and when she got excited and asked if I was being serious I told her no. I didn't realise she was truly upset by it.” He explains hurriedly.

“You dumbass.” Jimin scolds, reaching out to slap the back of his head. “Why would you do that.”

“I wasn’t thinking.” He explained honestly. “I didn’t mean to be such an ass.”

“It sucked but I wasn’t that sad.” You explain, both of them clearly over analysing every little thing, yes you were sad but not sad enough to warrant them being this cautious. “I don’t want you to be worried about everything you say and do, I’m normally great at understanding the difference between what you do and say in a scene and how you feel outside of them.”

“It doesn’t mean we should say things that could disappoint you on purpose.” Jungkook retorts, running a hand through his hair as he sits on the end of the bed.

“You were being sarcastic Kook, I can tell the difference. I don’t want you to beat yourself up because a scene went wrong, it happens, this won’t be the last time but I’m okay, I’ll be okay after a week of pampering.” You tease them both.

“You’re far too good to us.” Jimin sighs, burying his head in your neck.

The day played out slowly, all three of you migrating to the couch with a heap of blankets. You’d gotten fried chicken whilst watching a movie, they had agreed to watch whatever movie you wanted, and you’d settled on a comedy that had all three of you crying with laughter.

They had been checking in with you constantly, tending to your every need, whispering reassurance and comforting words to you whenever they could. By the end of their break, the incident had been forgotten and you were already excited about whatever happened during the scene you’d all planned for their last free day.

You’d been sitting in the playroom for a while, both of them coming in and out of the room frequently, more than they usually would have.

“How are you feeling puppy?” Jimin asked, hand running through your hair. “Good?”

You feel yourself being moved from Jimin’s lap and you can’t help but whine, despite the light throbbing on your ass you feel comfortable, relaxed. You quieten when Jungkook taps your thigh. “Hush puppy, I’m going to do your last 30.”

“Sorry Master.” You put as he pulls you over his lap, the rough material of his jeans uncomfortably digging into your skin. “Hurts.”

“You can deal with it darling, take what I give you.” He lands a smack to your ass before you can complain further and as he does all thoughts are knocked out of you.

You’re thankful they don’t tell you to count because once again you get lost in your own thoughts, the repetition of the smacks soothing you. “Taking it so nicely.” You hear Jimin and can’t help but reach out a hand for him, relaxing again once he takes it.

You loved moments like this, where you were thoughtless, with no worries, no guilt, just the soft buzz of subspace and your doms, boyfriends taking care of you. “Love you. Thank you.” You mumble into his skin.

“Don’t thank me, baby, you took your punishment so well for Sirs. You can sleep okay? We will have a bubble bath when you wake up.” A bath sounded good but sleep sounded better so you let yourself be pulled into whatever dream was awaiting you.

When you woke up you felt warmth all around you. Their bodies pressed flush against yours in the large bed. “Awake sweetheart?” Jungkook whispers. “Hyungs sleeping.”

You look at the way jimin had a hand tangled in jungkoks, his other arm wrapped around your torso. The three of you entwined in one way or another. It was moments like these that made their hectic schedules worth it, you’d had countless arguments before, disagreements, struggles, and bad days but you had an abundance of amazing ones, ones that made every single hard day worth it. You loved them, you were in love with them, and you always would be. “Love you.”

Hello! Three days, that must be a record. I don't think I'm back but I did want to come back to rant a bit about what's going on with Billboard because I'm very upset and I have no one to talk to in my daily life about it.

But before I say anything else, I want to thank everyone who commented on the post I made letting you know I was going to take a break. You'll probably call me dramatic when you see this, but if you've been here for a while, you know I tend to be dramatic at times. Although it was only a few days away from the blog, it did help me to understand that I don't want to leave it or close it. I just have to be firmer about some things.

The obvious way the US industry is doing everything it can to stop bts from succeeding in its market is impressive. The way no one apart from the fandom says anything because it's not about someone who sings in English, preferably white is hilarious. The fear that the industry has of bts and their fans is funny but when you think about how they also use them when it suits them, for example, everything that happened during the Grammys last year, it makes me want to slap some people in the face. Preferably with a barbed wire. I still believe that bts doesn't need the validation of that industry but I grudgingly understand why it's important, so this whole thing makes me mad as hell.

In the end, I firmly believe that bts will continue to succeed as a group and each member as a solo artist. And that no matter what the industry does, no matter what the haters say, Jimin was at the top of the hot100 and no one can take that away from him.

Do you think they will put Jikook's show behind a paywall like other shows they've done? If that happens I doubt people but Jikookers would pay to watch it and then it would just add to the fanservice narrative more. They did this to Jimin. We had to pay for his tiny room content, which was a slap in the face to him and his fans, while Tae and Jk got to do huge free shows for fans. On one hand I could see how it works in Jikook's favor since they did kinda plan that trip/show during a romantic couple holiday and the fanservice narrative actually protects them as sucky as it is, but at the same time, it would be a slap to the face of their fans and pretty fucked up if they do it.

One way or the other hybe will always make back their money off of you. Either through ads or sponsored content- think product placement etc.

Some members have built their brand to the point they can now leverage it for money. Jimin is one of those members. He has fans willing to pay- huge sums might I add- just to see him.

Don't act like PJMs won't. We would raise funds and sponsor others to go see Park Jimin if we thought it was a numbers game let's not lie. I see yall

Then there's also the part where pay walls means filtering out the haters and non serious stans.

It sucks for his avid fans who genuinely fuck with him but have no money to pay and watch or even the technology or means through which they can make payments due to geographical restrictions.

Interesting question...what happens when/if Jikook finally reveal themselves as a couple/married? What will those obsessed people do? Short answer:

No, i dont really think about them.

I have had a few encounters with people who seem to think about nothing else. Although I try to avoid the sassaeng-level obsessed people, truthfully i can also be a little single minded... I'm ND and have trouble with moderation.

(I spent an inordinate amount of time during covid, watching grainy fancams from 2015, to fill a void in my life and a gap in my understanding of how their relationship developed)

But i know that being wholy consumed by any one thing is a little unhealthy, so for my own mental well-being I try to have some balance.

However, now i AM thinking about them now, so back to your question 😁

Will people who don't reallly care about jikook move on, if they don't have anything prove/fight for?

If they are the type to always go looking for something to brawl over, then i guess they will move on. And good riddance. Jikook doesn't need supporters who are only there to stir up drama.

I think there are also those agressive and obsessed jkkrs and tkkrs who would continue to throw poop at each other even if jikook livestreamed their wedding and had Tae as their best man. Those people may not really care about JM and JK in particular but they will NEVER GIVE UP on PRINCIPLE.

Jikook doesn't need supporters like that either, imo.

But what about those of us who do care about them and their happiness?

Will people who are obsessed with proving the relationship and who do genuinely care also move on?

My guess is no, because the joy of watching jikook together is euphoric in itself. Their obvious adoration and the care and dedication give us reasons too smile.

But they might miss the good ol' days of slapping back at tkkrs or high-fiving their jkkr friends when they cut down a toxic solo with a well timed caustic response. (That is kinda gratifying, let's be honest.) They might miss the detective work and in depth analysis of every bit of footage.

So maybe also yes. They might need a new adventure. I'm not saying they will stop caring about jikook, but i think they may seek out a new cause to fight for. As a side interest 😉.

Then again, if jikook DID come out, all hell would break loose. Jikook crusaders (said fondly) would have new banners to gather under because fires would be burning on every front. Many of us - even the quiet ones on the sidelines - would probably be fighting for them.

In fact if they did come out, i think (hope) those of us who have been interested but not entirely invested (and definitely not obsessed with proving anything) would rise up too.

Jikook don't really need us now, but they will need us if it ever happens. And i hope that we - the reservists let's call ourselves - will be prepared to fight. Just like JK was when Yoongi whacked that shuttlecock at JM.

As for me, I would stand shoulder to shoulder with all and any supporters to defend them. And I truly hope all armys, but especially the Jimin and Jungkook biased armys, would rally behind them under a rainbow flag. Because tkkrs arent the real enemy imo. They are just sad, angry people with no idea what true love looks like.

The real enemies are the bigots who hold power, and the institutionalised homophobia that threatens their safety, career and happiness.

Tae also had external Songwriters and Producers, but it took him over a year to choose, and he participated in the Album layout that's why it has a personal Touch.

Even tho Jimin didn't write everything on his Album, he was involved in his creative Process.

Hobi not only did the music, but also did the storyboards, planned his mv, wrote down the concepts, planned his promo. Even tho D Day is my Solo Project Hobis feels the most personal to me.

We don't need to mention RM and Yoongi, because they carried BTS whole Discography.

We know that JK rested till August, and in an interview he said, he no inspiration to write lyrics and just wants to sing fun songs, this Album feels like a Project that he put out for the sake to put out because all of them r leaving by the end of the Year.

JK said to Yoongi that he recorded one Song a Day to get the project done.

That's why the personal connection is missing for me..we had memebrs that didn't wrote or composed, like Tae but Layover feels so personal because he took his time, was in dialogue, and gave opinions.

Golden feels like they took every Western Artist, and Producers and threw slapped their Song's on it. You feel that they are songs written by Shawn Mendez, Ed Sheeran or Jon Billion. They aren't bad, JK sounds great, but i have trouble connecting with it.

i understand that you don’t want to jump into conclusions regarding this JK brand thing but come on isn’t it obvious at this point what hype is trying to do? Until when are we going to pretend that hype hasn’t been moving weird for a long long time now? The huge push and the massive promo and the difference in how they handled his debut vs the other members’ and now this? It’s pretty clear what hype’s agenda is but nobody wants to see it. They will never come out and say yes we are focusing on one member and we want him to go solo and convert army into his fans, no body is going to outright say it so unless you put 2 and 2 together you won’t see it. Jungkook is not going to enlist with the rest of the group and that’s when ARMY will understand what’s going on

BTS is just way too big for the company to give up on or sideline unless the members have decided to make their solo careers their main focus. ARMYs massively prefer them as a group and are growing increasingly anxious making “jokes” about the rest of the members needing to hurry up and enlist. JK will lose a lot of ARMY support if BTS seems like they’re not getting back together and the company is focusing more on his solo career, they all will (not saying they still won’t be able to sell stadiums or that they’ll flop, but they’ll never be as big as the group). Many ARMYs are already on break waiting for 2025, you can see a massive difference in engagement on twitter compared to the likes their previous tweets used to get for example, and more ARMYs will keep dropping off the longer their bias is inactive. HYBE slapping a seven onto JK’s brand name might work for half a minute but ultimately it’s not going to replace the presence of six other members, nor is it going to suddenly make his music appeal to the legion of BTS fans who actually really love their sound. It’s also not that easy to grow a fanbase out of GP. JK is still very dependent on ARMY. And I cannot emphasize enough the value of ARMY, no other fandom does what they do and the company does not want to lose that. And there’s no way to fake a group that’s not actually there, no matter how they might try and market JK. So I don't personally think BTS is going anywhere (on top of them repeatedly saying they want to return as a group) even though I understand this perspective.

But if it’s the case that the members have decided they’re going to focus more on their solo careers going forward, I could see why HYBE would over invest in the one member they think would be most profitable for them, but I do think that support is conditional. Do you think they would have gone all out for JK if he had decided to release a self produced album full of korean ballads? I don’t. I think that support comes with some major creative constraints the others might not have wanted on their albums. On top of that, I really don’t think the other BTS members would be okay with the company only properly supporting one of them.

Like I said before, the other BTS members are incredibly and undeniably ambitious. Doesn’t Jhope already have a six month plan for his return? Taehyung is already cooking up something, Namjoon stuck around because he wasn’t satisfied after Indigo, who even knows what Jimin has been up to. The thing is, that ambition might look different for all of them. Perhaps JM is okay with getting less playlisting if he has more creative freedom and that’s the tradeoff. Jimin is kind and maybe sometimes too accommodating but he’s not a pushover, and he’s also a workaholic, a perfectionist, and very intelligent. But this is where I wish fellow ARMYs would be louder and more aggressive about wanting HYBE to support their solo music better - I’m uncomfortable with the idea they’re only going to push SB projects in the US or in general, and that’s the main issue I’m worried about right now and what I think deserves pushback. It’s not even about favoring JK, it’s about favoring certain kinds of releases and not doing the bare minimum on their end for the others. But like I said in other asks, waiting to see what happens with future solo projects.

And about JK, well. I think the other members are all still undeniably close and loving towards Jungkook. Apparently vminkook in particular have been pretty tight lately. I don’t think they would be that way if they thought he was trying to get one over on them in their careers. I also don’t think JK is that calculative, he seems really straightforward to me. He literally didn’t deny a single accusation about what Golden was and what it was aiming to do, he was blunt about it. So I just really don’t think he’s trying to mislead anyone on what his ambitions are either.

And no, I really don’t think JK is trying to distance himself from the group. Every time he introduces himself it’s “Jungkook of BTS”. He took time during Seven promotions to film a variety show with Jimin. He mentions the group and the future of the group quite a bit. Of course I think he wants to be known and seen as a soloist and his own person outside of BTS, but that was part of the goal for all of them. I think it was Namjoon who said during that dinner that they weren’t really known individually or something about that and it was one of the reasons they needed this. JK wanting to make a name for himself outside of BTS is not him trying to push away from the group.

As far as TikToks, they’re all kind of weird about it. I don’t think he asked the others because they would definitely have said yes (at least JM would have), but I don’t think he or they really care to do it either. He didn’t film many SNTY challenges because I don’t think there was actually a challenge for it? He just helped two HYBE groups who had new songs. And he and Mingyu apparently have an ongoing friendly challenge to do each other’s choreo (but are behind on each others latest songs). I think JM is more than happy to help his friends film TikTok’s if they ask, but I don’t think it’s something he cares to do that much either considering ThisIsJimin is him completely doing his own thing instead of following popular trends and challenges. I just don’t think any of them care enough to put the effort in to do a challenge together unless it just works out that way (JM and SOPE were promoting at the same time for example). Actually, despite TikTok being such a massive platform, only JK seems interested in it at all. So I just don’t read into the TikTok situation. Or maybe they did do some and they're holding them for when they enlist, idk.

As far as enlistment goes, well I really just don’t think he would repeatedly say he was planning to go soon if he wasn’t. And he’s said it quite a few times, and I think NJ said that only Jin would be here for the next FESTA. JK didn’t get a Grammy either so I don’t personally see him getting an exemption. But I guess only time will tell with that and we’re going to find out all their plans soon enough. If he doesn’t enlist though, I do think the fandom is going to get even more wild, and you might see more ARMYs uncomfortable with this whole situation than you think. I wouldn’t blame him or any of them for not enlisting now btw, many PJMs wish JM wouldn’t so I don’t think it’s fair to get mad at JK for it. But if he does enlist soon, I think that would make it pretty clear that his main priority is BTS.

And yes, the branding situation did make me uncomfortable because of everything else that has been going on. It’s just like, it’s hard not to feel a little bit that way after everything that has happened this past year. I can rationalize certain things but sometimes it’s hard not to have an emotional reaction and this year has been a lot and ultimately we’re in the dark about so much. I’m going to wait for more information and to read some more perspectives that are hopefully a bit more partial and have a little more understanding of this kind of thing because honestly I’m just out of my depth here. I will say if this is just him starting his own brand to sell cosmetics and jewelry well, that’s a pretty smart business decision any of them could do. And yeah, he’ll probably do a solo tour at some point (hopefully JM too), but circling back, I really think it’s going to be after enlistment and after their next group album. I’m going to choose to believe that for now, because I still don’t think any of them would outright lie like that, although I’d be lying if all those tour comments and questions that kept popping up didn’t have me side eyeing the situation a little. hey, how would you rank all the albums and singles that have been released so far in bts chapter 2? I'd love to read your thoughts

That's a tall order!

As far as albums go:

D-Day (Agust D's music speaks the most of me, although this is by far the worst album of the Agust D trilogy imo. Still, lyrically it's good and Snooze is a masterpiece)

Indigo (really good album, but not really my style, particularly songs like Closer. It's an easier listen than Mono but I still prefer the latter. RM's an amazing lyricist but I often can't connect with, or even understand, the way he writes)

Face (not a bad album, but also not my style, and less enjoyable and interesting than Indigo. SMF Pt. 2 and LC grew on me, and Letter is really sweet)

Layover (also not my style, and very safe, but super easy listening and the songs are surprisingly catchy)

JITB (Hobi challenged himself for sure, and I love More and Arson more than any track in Layover, but Hobi's rapping and singing tone, as well as some of the lyrics in JITB aren't very enjoyable to me. It's also not an easy listening album, so if it's not your style, it's not easy to enjoy it, but I admire a lot Hobi's range and what he accomplished with this album)

On to singles/collabs, which is half of chapter 2 lmao, let's see...

That That (does this count as chapter 2? It's just fun and iconic)

Sexy Nukim (this song slaps so hard it might be tied for number 1)

Don't Ever Say Love Me (amazing song and RM sounds so so good and sexy, but I admittedly haven't listened to it much)

Smoke Sprite (really good song too, RM sure knows how to choose his collabs, he's been doing so well in chapter 2)

Take Two (honestly not sure if I should put this third or here? It's hard to compare an OT7 song with solo songs, or to compare indie with pop. I do think it lacks something though, but it has some great vocals and is emotional to listen to)

Seven (I listen to Seven the most. I'm Jungkook biased and his voice is so soothing to me. Seven has some excellent vocals and the instrumental is really nice. It's a good song with bad lyrics and an unnecessary feature. It had so much potential. Imagine what Jungkook could've done with Latto's part and wittier lyrics. This song could've jumped a few spots up, at least. I'm probably being unfair and should move this further up the list tbh)

Dreamers (I listen to it a lot. It's hype and I like Jungkook's voice, but it's also a bit ugly? When you listen to it it's fun, but it's a bit ugly too haha. I love how dynamic it is. Jungkook did a great job, especially performing it live. It's iconic)

On the street (I like the song quite a bit, though it's emotional to me, but I don't like J. Cole's part, aside from his adlibs. His verses are too long and he even brought religion into it. It's a great song, but I put Dreamers ahead of it due to replay value. If I choose to listen to Dreamers more, then maybe I should put it first? Dunno)

The Planet (it's a nice, refreshing track, and it's nice to hear the members)

Vibe (it gets better the more you listen to it, and I like how Jimin and Taeyang sang. Should it be number 8 or 9? It's hard to decide!)

The Astronaut (I can't listen to The Astronaut without crying. I love the song, and it has a lot of meaning to all of us, but it's not super impressive. It doesn't have much replay value)

Rush Hour (haven't listened to it much, but it's cool)

Left and Right (I've listened to it more than most other songs so I enjoy it more, in a way, and it's not much worse than Vibe or Rush Hour. The instrumental is nice, but the song would be so, so much better it it was just Jungkook... He elevates basic pop songs so well - easy, catchy and fun instrumentals, paired up with Jungkook's polished, clear yet raspy, vocals, makes for the best combo)

Bad Decisions (this is one song no one cared for. I think my mom's the only person who really liked it lmao)

I haven't listened to Angel pt.1 or pt.2 because of what's his face. I listened to pt. 1 in JK's live and that was enough. Jimin didn't have many lines from what I remember.

you're so right re: hybe's strategy about the solo releases, ultimately the bts brand is more valuable to them than letting the members be full-fledged artists. and tbh i wonder if the only reason why the solo era is happening is bc they want something to tide the fandom over while members go into the military. but ultimately, the company taught fans wrong. jimin and yoongi could have easily promoted their work for months, but fans have the mindset that bts must be #1 in sales, streaming, charts, and it's technically true that they can't do that if multiple members are releasing at the same time. it has nothing to do with artistry, but it's what makes the company money and what made bts the biggest kpop act so it's encouraged.

it's really sickening how EVERYTHING is about numbers money streaming charts brand deals capitalism on steroids people living vicariously through their faves etc, but also fascinating how sometimes good opportunities get thwarted in the name of the brand (like jimin not getting additional push for like crazy).

I disagree on your statement that one needs strong social media presence to be known. There are several celebs out there who are extremely successful yet hardly post anything on their sns. Sns doesn't equal success. A few extra million ig followers or likes on pictures don't guarantee success.

How do you define strong sns presence anyway? A few boxing clips or a few shirtless pictures will sell your music for you? I believe most bts members are past that, each member has a strong fan base and their latest solo releases have proved that.

If IG presence, following count mean success than V's Christmas tree should have done better than Jungkook and Jimin's solo releases. And yet it's Jimin's song that broke several records despite a 11pm Sunday release.

Yes Jimin stays quiet on what he's working on, so does Jungkook. How is what Jungkook doing different from Jimin? It was Suga and later C Puth who let us know of their collab with Jungkook. Jk atleast posted about left and right, he didn't even bother with Stay Alive. How long has Hobi been talking about what he's working on anyway? When did Suga talk about That That? Did we know about all these being in work in advance? But somehow Jimin being quiet about his work is an issue? Didn't V say Jimin was working on solo songs in Nov? Wasn't that enough to know he's working on something? They again mentioned during Festa. What more is required? A day to day update?

Sometimes it's about letting their work speak for them. When Jimin was quiet on sns, did you not see the 100s of articles that were written about him relating to his songs breaking records? And somehow that is not better than a few IG posts?

There are several pictures and clips of each of them on Twitter that keeps going viral. Isn't that enough "sns presence" already? Even last week a Jimin clip went viral again and non army were asking who he is. And yet him not posting something on sns means the world doesn't know him? The man just stood there and waived on day 1 mic check during Seoul concert and the clip got over a million views in a few hours. He sings for 20 secs and that goes viral... He says he's not interested in doing an ost but does it anyway, and that breaks Bts record and gets itunes #1 in 100 countries in less than 5 hours while left and right took over 4 days. He posted on weverse yesterday and he was trending #3 worldwide plus 7-9 more hastags. And you think his sns presence is not strong and he should try more?

He'll spend that energy on creating good art for his fans. Let me also call out, Jimin isn't the only member who is quiet on sns, but some how Jimin being quiet is what people notice, if that already doesn't say something about who their pay most attention to.

And lastly, what you mean the world outside army doesn't know Jimin but the world has clung onto Jungkook? Who is the world vs army? And how are they contributing to Jungkook's success? If they like him and buy his music, they are automatically army too. Even army is divided between 7 members. Hardly any ot7. So your statement hardly makes any sense. Who is this world here that is clings to Jungkook? From where I see, the other members are also pretty well known worldwide and have a dedicated fan base too.

From a marketing standpoint, yes, I still think Jimin should have a stronger social media presence. That's my opinion, but I never said his popularity or success is contingent on publicizing his private life or publicizing anything at all. I didn't even say what he had to post, just that I think it would work in his favor if he did post more so people learn about him as Park Jimin.

So far, in the western music industry–which is the only industry I can talk about–non-ARMYs/casual fans only know BTS as a unit. They’re used to them being marketed as a group. So yeah, if anyone asks me about their solo trajectories, I’m going to prioritize what I think would work for them in making a name for themselves, but that’s in no way to discount their existing success or what they’re each capable of/have done.

And I don’t know what it is about Jungkook, but some of you get wildly twisted for absolutely no reason whenever I’m making a concerted effort to be objective about the perception of him outside of ARMYs.

Here, fun little tidbit for you (and why I talk about certain things the way I do): apparently, his name is the one that gets floated around among [redacted]–at least within the U.S., anyway. And I’m NOT saying that anything is to come of it or that it means something significant, but his name is allegedly on the radar more often than the others... and reprehensibly, sometimes the [redacted] don’t even know the names of the other members (and honestly, when that subject came up with [redacted], the usual, alleged table talk about Jungkook is his “marketability,” which is just a pc way of saying they think he’d be the most lucrative because he’s conventionally hot).

And let’s make this absolutely clear: don’t take my word for it. You don’t know me or my credentials. I could be pulling this out of my ass for all you care. Personally, I feel gross that I even have to mention it because I’m always the first one to be visibly disgusted when people throw their weight around like this, but some of you assume that the popularity around Jungkook is somehow preposterous or fabricated and that I’m singing his praises a little too much. 

In my experience ONLY and through my own connections ONLY, it’s not. My frame of reference is completely different from yours.

Technically, this is all still considered hearsay to me. it's also prioritizing the korean market because the shipping costs double the cost of the 'album' and I think I have read you can't order it from the US shop not that it would've changed anything for me since I'm in europe, but the US armys are a big chuck and not allowing the purchase from the US shop with less shipping is a slap in the face and so many people won't be able to afford it, especially younger armys having to get parents' permission.

Also 'owning' an album digitally means shit because if they decide to close the servers you are left with nothing.

And knowing hybe, the app will crash every 3 hours too.

The shipping prices are certainly a way to scare off any potential customer. I wasn't planning on buying any album in the foreseeable future, but if I was, having to pay twice or more the amount of the album for shipping and for the item to be just a photocard, you bet I'm not buying anything no matter how much I wanted to "support" anyone. I think armys and of course hoseok stans will still buy.

Being honest with you... I don't know how much of a market BTS still has in Korea. Especially rapline, with the exception of Yoongi (who just happens to be VERYYY strategic about his collabs), there's never been too much of an audience for them.

I agree with everything, yeah. Hoseok still has to release the title tho, so maybe things will shift for the better the closer we get to the 15th. At least I hope so. Seeing the way Nayeon's solo debut was handled vs whatever hybe is doing... it's just really sad.

Some Jkk are too scared to be serious, but this is how I felt ever since Jk went live and reacted to Jimin after he replied Me too on Jimin's miss you post. So one could say cool, he misses Jimin and he's promoting his solo work like a friend and bandmate would. HOWEVER, that is not what JK did. He turned it up a notch and PURPOSELY blushed, giggled, kicked his feet, stared with heart eyes, gushed and listened to love songs in between switching videos. This to me, is flat out OTT baiting if he doesn't feel some type of way about Jimin, cause he purposely acted that way knowing the camera was on him. I have had Jkk tell me its not baiting, right, if he's in love its not, but if not, to me it was suggestive in his actions, meant to get a reaction to him and Jimin and it worked and only he knows why. Even worse would be if he he's not queer but knows Jimin is and how Jimin use to feel about him and did that. I don't believe this though. I believe Jk is queer and I think the man is in love with jimin. That said, Locals were even talking about that live. Not to mention it dropped during Jk's CK clip/ambassador announcement.
