Good to You Ch22
A/N: Okay, first I want to say if you haven't read the deleted scene to this story half of the chapter might confuse you. Second, this chapter is anti-Damon and Elena, and mentions of consent and rape. I just want to warn everyone so you're not caught off guard. This chapter also contains torture.
Now, with that out of the way, I'm nervous about this chapter for so many reasons, regardless I hope you like this chapter! I only edited it once so I apologize for any mistakes. Thanks for reading!
Caroline groaned at the sound of her phone continuously buzzing. She was trying to sleep. Why wouldn’t it just stop already? It was annoying.
She draped herself across Klaus, reaching for it on the nightstand, her legs tangled with his.
Her fingers grazed the phone as Klaus wrapped his arm around her back, holding her to his naked chest. “Let it ring,” he grunted.
“I can’t.” she pulled the phone to her. “It could be important.” she didn’t bother checking the ID before answering. “Hello?”
“Caroline?”
Caroline sat up groggily. “Stefan?” she had been so focused on her life in New Orleans. She just now realized how long it’s been since she talked to anyone who wasn’t her mom back in Mystic Falls. “Hey, it’s been a while. Is everything okay?”
“It’s Katherine.”
Caroline’s brow furrowed. Why was Stefan calling her about Katherine of all people?
“Caroline?”
“I’m still here, I just trying to figure out why you’re calling me about Katherine of all people.”
“Caroline, she’s dying. I just thought you might want to know.”
Caroline climbed out of Klaus’s bed and pulled on Klaus’s discarded henley and walked out onto his balcony. It was a quarter after three in the morning, so she wasn't too concerned with people seeing her in just a shirt. “Dying?” Caroline repeated. Elena had told her that Katherine had been turned human, but she didn’t think the cure would be a death sentence this soon. “How?”
Caroline listened as Stefan explained about Silas and the travelers. How after the cure was drained out of Katherine, it was like time was catching up with her. She didn’t have much time left.
“Wow, I don’t know what to say. Are you okay?”
“Why wouldn’t I be?” Stefan questioned.
“I’m not an idiot, Stefan, it’s really late, and you’re calling me to talk about Katherine when it could have waited till tomorrow.” Caroline pointed out. “You needed someone to talk to, which probably means you’re not as okay as you want to be.”
Stefan was quiet for a moment. “She was there for me when I really needed someone.”
“Tell me,” Caroline said after a moment. “Tell me everything, and I promise I won’t judge.”
And Stefan did. Caroline listened as he told her what Silas did to him and how it was Katherine, who helped him with his PTSD from the ordeal. Caroline could understand why Stefan wanted to be there for Katherine. Why he needed to talk to someone now. Why he needed someone to listen and not judge him for what he was feeling now.

Klaus was brought out of his conscious state, feeling fingers dancing across his naked chest, tracing his hummingbird tattoo.
He opened his eyes to a sight he could never tire of.
Caroline was pressed against him, her hand dancing along his skin.
“Whenever I see this tattoo, I think about the day you told me the hummingbird story. It was the first time I really let myself enjoy being around you. That day was a good day for me, and I spent most of it with you.” Caroline smiled softly. “That should’ve been a sign of how I really felt about you.”
Klaus tightened his arms around her, cupping her jaw, he brought his mouth to hers, kissing her slowly, before replying. “I’m glad you didn’t let yourself feel for me right away. Things might be different. You might not even be here.”
“We would have ended up here, eventually. One can only ignore attraction and chemistry for so long.” Caroline pressed a kiss over his chest.
Klaus smiled. His hand splayed across her back. “I can hear you thinking. What else is on your mind?”
“Stefan called.”
“And what did my old friend want?” Klaus didn’t really care, but it was Caroline, and he figured it was appropriate to ask.
“Katherine’s dying.”
“He called for a cure to a wolf bite?” Klaus was not going to give Katherine a single drop of his blood.
“No, Elena forced her to take the cure when she came after her. Katherine’s human now. Except Silas drained her of his blood, and now it’s like time is catching up with her. Her heart and body are failing her. She doesn’t have much time, and I want to go and see her.”
Klaus laughed. “You can’t be serious.”
Caroline pulled back, frowning, and sat up. “I am. I have some things I want to say to her.”
Klaus sat up with her, trying not to let himself be distracted by her naked form. “What could you possibly have to say to her?”
“That’s between her and me; besides, if we go, I can visit my mom and my friends while we’re there.”
“Yes, and they can tell you what an awful mistake you’re making by being with me.”
“Hey, I am not going to change my mind just because my friends or my mom don’t understand what I feel for you. If you’re scared, I won’t want to come back to New Orleans, don’t be. I want you to go with me because I fully intend to come back with you.” Caroline maneuvered herself into his lap. Klaus gripped her hips instinctively, and she wrapped her arms around his neck, fingers moving through the curls at the back of his nape. “I’m starting to build a life with you, here in New Orleans, but to really do that, I need to go back to Mystic Falls, see my mom, and say goodbye to my friends and the life I had.”
Klaus's grip tightened on her hips. “Are you saying when all this business with Sophie is done for good, you want to stay here?”
“I want to stay with you, and if that’s in New Orleans than fine, I want to be here with you.”
Klaus felt a weight lift from his chest, believing her. “Alright, we’ll go together. You’ll visit your friends, I’ll celebrate Katherine’s corpse to be, and then we’ll come home.”
But not before he finally got his hands on Damon and make him pay for what he did to Caroline.
“Do you really need to gloat over Katherine’s corpse to be?” Caroline raised a perfect brow at him.
“Yes.” he tightened his arms around her, his hand gliding over her soft skin. “It’s a need and a want. I want my face to be the last thing she sees because she hates me, and I hate her.”
“She’s not all bad when you really think about it,” Caroline said, thoughtfully. “I mean, she did kill me, but she changed my life, in a way she helped shape who I am today.”
Klaus moved his hand to her jaw, cupping it gently. “Why would you say that?”
“Being a vampire, it’s what I was meant for. I grew into myself when I became one. If it wasn’t for her, I probably would have died as an ordinary human as one of the many casualties in the Salvatore brothers and Elena drama. Katherine knew I had vampire blood in my system when she killed me. She knew I would become a vampire.”
“I’m sure she had her reasons for turning you,” Klaus muttered.
“She did, I was a pawn in her game against Damon and Stefan, but I was better off in the end. Plus, she wanted you to use me in the sacrifice when you showed up in town to break your curse, instead of her.”
Klaus moved his hand through her hair. “Nothing about that makes me not want to dance on her grave. Perhaps you can join me.”
“My point is I don’t think I would be here if it wasn’t for her turning me. I’m not even sure I would have lasted long enough to have met you, and I know you wouldn’t have given me a second look if you did meet me as a human. I wasn’t strong or fearless.”
“I would have noticed you, Caroline.” Klaus disagreed. “I love that you’re strong and fearless and beautiful, but what drew me to you was your light, and I believe that you had that inside of you before you became a vampire.”
Caroline felt a wave of warmth flow through her at his words. “Kiss me.”
Klaus pressed his mouth to hers without hesitation. He allowed his desire to take over as Caroline tightened her arms around him, sinking down on his throbbing length, encasing him in her warmth.
Klaus pressed his forehead against her shoulder, lips pressed to her breast bone over her heart.
Caroline tightened her arms around his shoulders and let herself be consumed by the emotions he created within her every single time they were together.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Caroline walked into the kitchen and found Hayley seated at the island, having a bowl of cereal. “Hayley, have you seen Elijah?”
“No, he’s not really talking to me at the moment,” Hayley responded.
Caroline paused at the bitter tone in her voice. She took the seat across from her. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“Do you really care about what’s going on with Elijah and me?” Hayley challenged.
“Honestly, it’s not really any of my business, but I thought you might want someone to talk to. Besides, it’s not like you have anyone else you can talk to, and we all need someone.” Caroline shrugged. “Elijah was that person for you, but you’re clearly on the outs, so I figured I fill in for him until you weren’t anymore.”
Hayley pursed her lips. “I made him break a promise to someone he loved once. Celeste. Now he’s angry with me, and he’s holding onto a ghost instead of being here in the present.”
“With you?” Caroline said knowingly, earning a glare from Hayley. “I’m not judging, it’s just pretty obvious there’s something between you and Elijah.”
“Well, that ship has sailed,” Hayley grumbled, looking away, pushing her cereal around in her bowl.
“Klaus was angry with me when I took the wolfsbane vial. He saw it as a betrayal from someone he trusted.”
Hayley scoffed. “Klaus doesn’t trust anyone.”
“Exactly,” Caroline said. “Klaus chose to trust me, and it wasn’t easy. Maybe Elijah is the same way. Maybe he chose to trust you, and when you lied to him about Celeste, it made him question if he made the right decision.”
“I had my reasons.” Hayley defended. “Yes, what I did was wrong, but I apologized.”
“An apology doesn’t fix everything. If Elijah feels like you betrayed him, just try and give him some time.” Caroline gave a slight smile. “Elena believes Elijah is the best of the Mikaelson’s. If that’s true, he’ll forgive you.”
Caroline didn’t agree about Elijah being the good one of the Mikaelson’s. Not with her encounters with him and her dislike for him, but she was trying because he is Klaus’s brother.
It was almost like how she tried to accept Damon because of her friendship with Stefan. However, that was before she fully came to terms with everything that Damon did to her.
“Is that how Klaus of all people forgave you?” Hayley questioned.
“I think Klaus forgave me because I came clean with him despite knowing how betrayed he would feel. I was willing to face his wrath instead of lying to him about it. Just show Elijah he can trust you. Show him that you are worth trusting that you’re not going to betray his trust again. Prove to him that you care about him as much as he cares about you.”
Hayley nodded, she admittedly was surprised by Caroline’s advice and that she cared enough to talk with her about it and even offer up a helpful suggestion. “The study.”
Caroline’s brow creased. “What?”
“Elijah, he tends to spend a lot of his time in the study.” Hayley offered up.
Caroline smiled. “Thanks,” she stood and walked out of the room, heading for the library.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
“Elijah, there you are.” Caroline greeted. Hayley was right. Elijah was seated behind a large mahogany desk, peering over what looked to be a journal.
“Miss Forbes.” Elijah returned, glancing up at her expectantly. “I find it hard that you’re searching me out.”
“We live in the same house, we’re in each other’s lives. You can call me Caroline.”
“Okay,” Elijah stapled his hands together on top of the desk. “What can I do for you, Caroline?”
“Stefan called me, it was about Katherine.” Caroline started, she was unsure how to say it because she knew Elijah had a connection with Katherine that was deep.
“I have cut times with Katerina since moving to New Orleans,” Elijah informed her. “She is no longer my con-”
“She’s dying.” Caroline interrupted.
Elijah’s head snapped back to her. “What? How? Was she bitten by a wolf?”
“No, she’s human now.”
“I don’t understand,” Elijah said confounded. “The cure. Katerina would never take the cure. She loved being a vampire.”
“She attacked Elena, and Elena defended herself by forcing her to take the cure. However, Silas drained the cure from Katherine's body, and now time is catching up with her. Her body is failing her.”
“Why are you telling me this?” Elijah questioned. Elijah knew Caroline didn't like him, she had made that pretty clear.
“I know you have a history with Katherine. I just thought you should know. Stefan said she was dying, and I wanted you to have the chance to say goodbye.” Caroline pursed her lips. “Klaus and I are heading back to Mystic Falls if you want to say your goodbyes to her you can join us. We’re leaving in an hour.”
“How are you supposed to leave when there’s a spell that keeps you from leaving New Orleans?”
“I am done letting Sophie control why I’m here. She no longer has any leverage, and I am done being controlled.” Caroline stated with finality. “I’m going back to Mystic Falls. I’m going to see my mom, and there's not a damn thing anyone can do to stop me.”
Elijah sent her a look. “You sound more and more like my brother by the day.”
Caroline tilted her head at him. “Was that meant to be an insult?”
“An observation.”
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
“You’re serious?” Rebekah looked at Klaus in surprise. “You’re going to leave me in charge while you take a trip back to Mystic Falls?”
“Who better? Klaus asked. “I can’t very well ask Marcel. One I am not handing him the keys to my city, and secondly, he is too focused on Davina.”
“Besides, is this not what you wanted?” Caroline questioned. “Out from your brother’s shadow?”
Rebekah glared at the dig. “I see you’re still mad at me.”
Caroline shrugged. Even she could admit that what she said was a little bitchy, but she didn’t really care. She wasn’t sure leaving Rebekah in charge was the right thing to do, but it was better than leaving no one in charge.
“We’re trusting you to keep things under control until we return,” Elijah interjected. “And I would like you to look after Hayley while we’re gone.”
Rebekah nodded. Looking after Hayley wasn’t really in question. She would let no harm come to her niece and nephew.
“New Orleans will be in good hands,” Rebekah said, locking eyes with Klaus.
A battle of wills passing between them, distrust shining through.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
“Why would I lift the spell to keep you here?” Sophie glared at Caroline.
“You will lift the spell because there is nothing to keep me from killing you,” Klaus interjected. “You are not linked to Caroline or my children. The harvest has failed. Your life is worthless to me now. So if you don’t wish to die, you will give Caroline exactly what she wants.”
“And I want the freedom to leave New Orleans without some damn spell yanking me back to city limits,” Caroline stated.
Elijah watched the exchange. Since his and Caroline’s previous confrontation and how she was still considerate toward him about Katherina, he decided he needed to look closer at the person Caroline was. See what his brother saw. Maybe he needed to look closer at his brother’s relationship with Caroline to see how deeply their bond was.
“Let me put it simply, you lift your spell off me for good, or I will take a page from Klaus’s book, and I will make you suffer before he kills you,” Caroline said, stepping toward Sophie.
Sophie looked at Caroline with a glare, feeling glad that she had taken something from Caroline. She looked at Klaus, she hated the smirk on his face, the way he looked at Caroline. He was so pleased, happy to have her at his side.
What better way to spite them then to let her go back home and realize what a mistake she made by being with Klaus. And Klaus would be hurt by being abandoned once again. Caroline would be gone from New Orleans none the wiser about Klaus's children's true mother.
Her.
It wasn't like she needed the blonde anymore to hold over Klaus. Her niece was dead, and she was never coming back. Sophie was done with it all, but at least this way, neither Caroline or Klaus got to be happy.
“Fine. I’ll lift the damn spell but after. We’re done. You don’t darken my doorstep again, and I won’t darken yours.”
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Klaus drove down the road, they left New Orleans city limits a little over half an hour ago.
Klaus kept glancing at Caroline, the closer they got to Mystic Falls, the more he felt like his skin was crawling. A voice, whispering to him that his time with her was coming to an end.
She had such a strong loyalty to her friends. She listened to them. She cared about what they thought of her. The opinions mattered to her. He fought against every cell in his body, he feared that their opinions mattered to Caroline more than he did.
He wasn’t ready for her to leave him behind.
“What?” Caroline looked at him, feeling his stare. “You should be keeping your eyes on the road. Why do you keep staring at me?”
“Because your beautiful, and I liked to admire beauty.”
Caroline shook her head. “Something else is bothering you.”
“I’m fine.” Klaus dismissed.
Caroline wanted to argue, he wasn’t fine, but the chances of him telling her what was wrong were low when they weren’t alone.
She looked at Elijah over her shoulder in the backseat. He had his nose buried in a book. She didn’t think he was paying them any mind.
Still, she much rather talk with Klaus alone than with an audience. Instead, she reached over, grabbing his hand, lacing their fingers together.
Klaus felt the vice around his heart loosen. He raised their hands to his mouth and kiss the back of her hand softly.
Caroline smiled and scooted next to him, keeping their hands laced she curled into his side.
Elijah looked up from his book, watching the exchange.
There was this look on his brother’s face he hadn’t seen in a very long time.
Fear of rejection.
Seeing his brother kiss Caroline’s knuckles was such a soft gesture. Sweet. Kind. Gentle. Words he would never normally use to describe his brother.
Niklaus appeared almost human in his affection for Caroline as he pressed a kiss to her temple with the softest smile Elijah saw from his brother in a thousand years.
Elijah returned his eyes back to his book, thoughtful.
Maybe, Caroline wasn’t another girl in a string of women for his brother. Perhaps he had been wrong, and she was right.
Maybe, she wasn’t going anywhere, and it was time he accepted Caroline and treat her like she was more than his brother’s current bedmate.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
“Matt!”
“Matt!”
“Stop the car,” Caroline told Klaus, she could hear Bonnie and Jeremy yelling from the woods.
Klaus pulled over, and Caroline got out of the car. “I think they’re trying to find Matt. You can continue on to the Boarding house, I’m sure everyone else is there. I’ll meet back up with you.”
“You sure?” Klaus questioned.
“Yeah, go on.” Caroline nodded. "Besides, I want to surprise Bonnie."
Klaus nodded and drove on. If she wanted a moment with her friends without him, he would give her that.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
“I don't see any freshly dug earth,” Jeremy said as they searched around the property of the Salvatore Boarding house.
Caroline frowned at Jeremy’s comment.
“This property is massive,” Bonnie complained.
“And why are you looking for freshly dug ground? Did Damon kill more innocent people again and buried them out here?”
Bonnie whirled around, a smile gracing her lips. “Caroline!”
Caroline moved forward, embracing her. “Bonnie! It’s so good to see you!”
Bonnie pulled back, grinning. “I can’t believe you're here! I thought you were still in New Orleans.”
“I was, but Stefan called and told me about Katherine, and I wanted to come back,” Caroline replied.
“I hate to interrupt this moment you’re having, but we need to find Matt,” Jeremy interjected. “Now.”
“Is he missing?” Caroline asked, alarmed. “Did something happen to him? Is that why you’re out here?"
“Katherine’s daughter took Matt and buried him alive out here somewhere, and unless we find him, he’s going to be in that grave permanently.”
Caroline knew she should focus on the fact that Matt was in danger, but she was thrown by the other piece of information. “I’m sorry, but did you just say Katherine’s daughter?”
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
A frail Katherine laid in Stefan’s bed asleep. It was not a peaceful sleep.
Bulgaria 1492
Katerina entered the village in the middle of the night on horseback. After dismounting the horse, she saw several bodies scattered about the grounds. Panic and fear wrapped around her heart, she ran to her house. When she walked in, she saw her father impaled against the wall with a sword in his heart. Her mother hung off the bed, dead.
Katherine rushed to her mother. “No! Mama.” she cried hysterically, sobbing over her mother. She hugged her tightly, not wanting to let her go, not wanting it to be real.
Damon walked into the room. “What a mess.”
Katherine looked up at him, cheeks wet with her tears, confused. “Damon?”
“Okay. I'll say it.” Damon chuckled. “I miss Klaus. I mean, the way this guy use to torture you.” he looked over the room, walking toward her father. “Sword in the daddy...nice touch.”
“Get out of my head.” Katherine hissed, her expression angry.
“So tell me how this slaughter went down again? Oh, that's right. Klaus was going to kill you in a blood sacrifice, and you, being you, ran for the hills. Only to come back to find your entire family had been massacred. So, if I'm adding this up right, your family's entire death was all your fault.”
“No.” Katherine denied through her tears. “No. No.”
Suddenly the air shifted, Damon was gone, and she was reliving one of the worst memories of her life. Again.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Damon stood over Katherine as she slept uneasily. He had a pillow in his hands, ready to end her life.
“Put the pillow down, Damon.” Liz walked into the room.
“Liz…” Damon wanted her to back off.
“If you kill her, it's murder. I'd have to bring you in, lock you up...there's all that paperwork…” Liz reasoned.
“Every awful thing I've ever done is linked to her.” Damon accused. “She taught me how to kill. I don't enjoy it. She ruined me, and I can't take any of that back.”
“Look at how much control she still has over you, Damon.” Liz pointed out. “Prove her wrong.”
Liz takes the pillow from Damon's hands and lays it on a nightstand in another part of the room.
“Fine, I won’t kill her but I sure as hell won’t let her go peacefully into-”
He felt hands gripped his neck before it was snapped viciously, everything going black.
Liz whirled around shocked as Damon fell to the ground, his neck snapped at an ugly angle.
Elijah stood over him. “You’ve tortured Katherina enough, don’t you think?”
Liz stared at him, stunned.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
In the woods on the Salvatore property, Caroline had split off from Bonnie and Jeremy, searching for the place Nadia buried Matt. She was angry with Bonnie and Jeremy for not keeping her in the loop about everything that was going on. There was clearly a lot that they hadn’t bothered telling her.
“Matt!” she yelled. “Matt, we're coming for you.”
“Sweetheart, I don’t think that’s the way to find the quarterback.”
Caroline whirled around, shooting Klaus a glare, which only made him smirk. She wasn't one bit surprised by his sudden appearance.
“Don’t stand there. Help me find him.”
“What has happened to the quarterback?”
“Matt's buried alive,” Caroline answered, she sped away, and Klaus followed.
“Apparently, Katherine has a vampire daughter. She is very much like her mother if she was willing to bury Matt alive because it served her agenda,” Caroline muttered.
“Katerine had a spawn? If I would’ve known, I've had snuffed the brat out like I did the rest of her family.”
Caroline turned to him. “Need I remind you that you're about to have children of your own in just a few months.”
“They won’t be brats.” Klaus protested.
Caroline tried not to laugh. “Have you met your family?”
“Hey, now, that’s my family you’re talking about,” he warned, but his grin of amusement gave him away.
“I know,” Caroline smirked. “I only speak the truth. Now stop distracting me.”
“But I like distracting you,” Klaus protested, reaching for her.
Caroline batted his hand away. “C’mon, we need to find Matt, and then I will let you distract me all you want.”
Klaus smirked at the suggestive look in her eyes.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Elijah stepped over Damon, ignoring Sheriff Forbes's presence and gingerly took a seat beside Katherine.
He reached his hand out, running it through her hair, his other hand coming up to brush her cheek tenderly.
His chest tightened with the knowledge that she was dying and there was nothing he could do to save her. Still, there was something he could do for her.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Katherine ran through the trees, heart pounding in her chest. She saw an opening and ran through it, hoping to escape.
She slowed as she found herself in an open field beside a lake. She took a step forward. There was a man at the end of the lake, her breath caught as he turned slowly. “Elijah?”
“Hello, Katerina,” Elijah greeted, lips curving into a smile.
Katherine's feet carried her quickly toward him. “What are you doing here?”
“Caroline told me about you taking the cure and that you’re dying. She wanted to give me the chance to say goodbye.”
“Of course, she did,” Katherine replied. She wasn’t all that surprised that she would do that although she thought Caroline would have her hands full with her situation.
“Katerina, I’m sorry.” Elijah wished there was something he could do for her.
Katherine reached up, her hand cupping his face. “At least we get to see each other one last time.” She leaned up, pressing her mouth to his.
Elijah stilled for a moment, but then he was pressing back against her, deepening the kiss.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
“Matt!! MATT!” Caroline hollered, walking through the trees.
“Caroline, love, bellowing isn’t going to get you anywhere,” Klaus said. “Besides, you’re going in the wrong direction. I can hear his distant and desperate screams,”
“Where?” Caroline demanded.
“C’mon, we’ll rescue him, and then you can let me distract you.” Klaus took her hand and sped away.
Not long later, Klaus was plunging his hand into a freshly marked grave, digging out a casket.
Matt emerged from it, looking shocked to see them. “Caroline.”
“Matt, oh my God!” Caroline hugged him. “Thank God, you’re all right.”
Matt pulled back, looking at her in surprise. “Aren’t you supposed to be in New Orleans?”
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
“Who the hell are you?”
Elijah stood from beside Katherine’s bed to see Sheriff Forbes had left, and a dark-haired woman was now staring at him. “Elijah Mikaelson, and you are?”
“What does Klaus’s brother want with Katherine?” The woman glared.
“We share a history, and I wasn’t going to let her leave this world alone,” Elijah answered.
“She’s not alone. She has me.” Nadia stepped forward, raising her chin challengingly.
“And you are?” Elijah inquired.
“Nadia Petrova, Katherine’s daughter.”
Elijah took a step toward her in surprise.
Another woman walked in, and Nadia beckoned her forward. “Come on. Let’s get on with this.” Her eyes never left Elijah.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Nadia and the woman, Mia sat at Katherine's bedside. Elijah stood at the foot of the bed, observing. Damon was still unconscious on the floor.
“Repeat this spell, so I know you understand how the passenger works,” Mia instructed Katherine.
“I can't.” Katherine protested.
“Just say it. Jaryakat a zem. Daryeet acza. Say it, and it's done.” Nadia insisted. “Your spirit goes inside my body, and Mia will activate it by calling you forth, and you get to live.”
“I’m sorry?” Elijah looked from Nadia to Katherine. “You’re trying to save her by giving her your body?”
“I won’t let my mother die.” Nadia retorted.
“Can I have a moment with my daughter, please?” Katherine asked.
Mia honor’s Katherine’s request and leaves the room. Elijah moved to follow, but Katherine’s voice stopped him.
“You can stay, Elijah.”
Nadia focused back on her mother, moving closer to her. “I know what you're going to say.”
“We don't have time for this. Nadia, letting my father rip you out of my arms...it was the biggest regret of my life.” Katherine’s eyes were intense as she looked at her daughter. “I should've fought harder to keep you, but I didn't. So I spent the next five hundred years making sure I didn't make that mistake again. I fought for everything -- and in the process, I had a long, full life. And I got to know my beautiful daughter. You spent the last centuries searching for me." Katherine took her hand in hers. “Don't waste another minute on me. It's your turn to live.”
“You can't do this.” Nadia didn’t want to lose her mother when she had finally found her.
Damon regained consciousness on the floor in enough time to listen in on Katherine and Nadia's conversation.
“Let me.” Said Katherine. “I made selfish decisions all my life. Let me do the right thing for once. Let me go.”
“Fine. Then go. Leave me.” Nadia spat, eyes burning with anger. “Drift off into oblivion, but I will not sit by your side and watch you die.” She stormed out.
Elijah moved, taking a seat next to Katherine and stared at her in wonder.
“What?” Katherine asked. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“I feel like I just saw someone I used to know.” Elijah cupped her cheek. “A girl, I fell in love with five hundred years ago.”
Katherine smiled, covering his hand with her own.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
“Now that we have sent the quarterback on his way. I think it’s time we pay the boarding house a visit."
“Can’t wait to dance on Katherine’s grave?” Caroline turned to him, arching oner perfect brow at him.
“Among other things,” Klaus smirked.
“You could be doing much better things than gloating over Katherine’s dead body.”
“And what would that be?” Klaus inquired. Gloating over Katherine’s corpse was his kind of celebration, plus he had business he needed to attend to with a certain Salvatore.
“Me,” Caroline smirked.
“You?” Klaus said, his lips curving into a smile of disbelief. “Are you propositioning me, love?”
“I’m giving you the choice of torturing Katherine on her deathbed or having sex with me?” Caroline bit her lip. “What’s it gonna be?”
Klaus smirked. He gripped her by the waist, and vamp sped her against a tree. His mouth crashed down onto hers.
Caroline pushed his jacket off and tugged at the hem of his shirt, Klaus lifted his arms, and she pulled it from his body, dropping it at their feet.
Klaus took her button blouse in his hands and pulled it open, popping the buttons off.
He cupped her bra covered breast as she yanked on his belt, unfastening it with deft fingers, their lips coming together in a lust-filled kiss.
“Oh my God!!”
Klaus felt Caroline push at his chest, and he stepped back from her.
“Bonnie!” Caroline exclaimed, staring at both her and Jeremy.
“Caroline, what the hell are you doing?!” Bonnie demanded scandalized.
“I think it’s pretty clear what she’s doing,” Jeremy said, judgmentally.
“Hold you’re tongue before I rip it out,” Klaus growled, not liking Jeremy’s tone or the way he was looking at Caroline.
“Easy, Klaus.” Caroline touched his arm. “Their shock is expected.”
Klaus shot them another glare and snatched his shirt back up and pulled it over Caroline’s head before pulling on his jacket to cover his naked torso.
Caroline smiled as she slipped her arm through the sleeves of his shirt. It was too big for her, but she didn’t care. It smelled like him, and it was comfortable.
She frowned when she caught sight of Klaus's expression and how he was shifting back from her. He looked so uncertain.
It didn’t take a genius to figure out why and she wasn’t going to let him go on thinking that his place with her wasn’t solid just because her friends were standing in front of them.
She pressed forward and place her lips against his, uncaring that Bonnie and Jeremy were standing right there. She tugged on his bottom lip with her teeth, and Klaus opened to her, she slipped her tongue inside, in full control of the kiss.
Klaus groaned, wrapping his arm low around her waist.
Caroline pulled back a moment later, peering at him. “You never have to pull away from me. I’m not hiding what you mean to me.”
Klaus's lips curved into a small smile, and he pressed another kiss to her mouth.
“You have to tell me what the hell has happened to you in New Orleans because this is not making sense to me.” Bonnie crossed her arms, eyes flickering between them suspiciously.

Bonnie and Caroline were seated on a couch in the parlor room of the Salvatore Boarding house.
Klaus sat next to Caroline on the end of the couch, smirking as Jeremy and Matt glared at him.
“Oh, wow, Stefan said you gotten dragged into a witch problem, but he never said how deep,” Bonnie said. “If I had known...”
“It’s okay.” Caroline dismissed. “We’ve been handling it.”
Caroline wasn't surprised that her friends hadn't asked more questions or weren't that concerned about her.
“What about you, guys? What’s been happening in Mystic Falls?” Caroline asked.
However, before Bonnie could answer, the door opened, and Stefan and Elena walked in.
“Caroline, what are you doing here?” Elena asked surprise.
Caroline stood and hugged Elena. “Just visiting. Stefan told me about Katherine, and it seemed like the perfect excuse to come back to Mystic Falls.”
Caroline pulled back from Elena and moved toward Stefan. “Stefan, hey, I missed you.”
Stefan chuckled and hugged her back. “I missed you, I’m glad you’re here.”
“What do you mean you’re just visiting?” Elena frowned. “If you’re home now, you have no reason to go back to New Orleans.” She shot a glare toward Klaus, acknowledging his presence.
“You can’t force her to go back with you.”
Klaus stood up and walked forward slowly, his expression filled with anger. “I would never make Caroline do something she didn’t want to do. I believe you’re confusing me with Damon.”
“What does Damon have to do with any of this?” Elena demanded, ready to come to his defense.
“Nothing.” Caroline shot Klaus a quick reprimanding look. “Klaus isn’t here to force me to go back with him. He’s here cause I want him here.”
“You want him here?” Elena repeated, sounding betrayed.
Klaus reached for Caroline 's hand and raised it, pressing a kiss to the inside of her wrist, and Caroline smiled.
“You’re together,” Stefan said, though his tone held no judgment.
“What, no their not!” Elena shook her head.
“Actually, we are.” Caroline corrected.
“Caroline, have you lost your mind? He’s worse than the devil!” Elena exclaimed.
“No, you’re mistaking him for Damon.” Caroline retorted.
Elena glared, her mouth snapping shut, looking affronted.
“Why don’t I give you a moment with your friends,” Klaus told Caroline, releasing her hand and walked out of the room.
“Please tell me you’re not really with him,” Elena said. “A one-off sure, but you can’t be in a relationship with him. Not with Klaus, Caroline!”
“I can be with whoever I want, Elena, and I don’t need your approval or anyone else's!” Caroline snapped.
“Okay, how about we calm down,” Stefan interjected. “Are you happy, Caroline?”
“I am,” Caroline answered, still glaring heatedly at Elena.
Stefan looked at Elena pointedly. “Then, as your friends, we are happy that you are happy.”
Caroline smiled, faintly at him. “Look, I didn’t come here to fight. I just wanted to see everyone because I missed you guys.”
“Does your mom know you're back?” Matt asked he had been mostly silent since being saved.
“No, I was going to surprise her after we leave here,” Caroline admitted. “Maybe I should just go.”
“No,” Bonnie stood up and linked their arms together. “We have so much to catch up on.”
Bonnie didn’t approve of Klaus and Caroline. Still, Caroline was capable of making her own decisions, and she was choosing to respect them and not let this get in the way of their friendship.
Bonnie tugged her back over to the couch. “C’mon sit down. I will tell you everything you missed while you’ve been gone living with the Mikaelsons.”
Caroline smiled at Bonnie. “Tell me everything. Start by telling me how Katherine has a daughter.”
Elena crossed her arms, and Stefan gave her a nudge forcing her forward to join the others.

Damon picked himself up out of the floor, not even hinting that he heard Katherine's earlier conversation with Nadia. “Ouch.”
“What the hell happened to you?” Stefan asked, entering the room, his eyes widened when he caught sight of who was at Katherine’s bedside. “Elijah.”
“In a shocking twist, Katherine's daughter is a psychopath. Whew. She's all yours and Elijah’s. I've had fun messing with her mind all day.” Damon said.
“Damon…” Stefan said in clear disapproval.
“I know, Stefan. I know. It's been a rough couple of days.” Damon rolled his eyes. “I needed an outlet, okay?”
However, Damon had barely made it back down the stairs before his neck was being viciously snapped again. Klaus grabbed him before he could hit the ground and sped away. He had a plan to enact.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Stefan shared a short moment with Katherine before heading back downstairs, hoping to catch up with Caroline, leaving Elijah and Katherine alone once again.
“Did you really come all the way here just to say goodbye?” Katherine asked.
“I wish it wasn’t goodbye.” Elijah murmured. “I have spent a thousand years walking this earth, and no woman has ever had a hold on me the way you do.”
“I’m glad you’re here. I wanted to see you one last time.” Katherine murmured tiredly.
Elijah brought his hand up to her face and went into her mind. He found himself in her memory of the night Klaus slaughtered her family.
“My brother certainly had a way of making someone pay for ruining his plans.”
“This was the worst day of my life. Damon said it was my fault; that I deserve everything bad, that's ever happened to me. He's right...He was right, Elijah. If I had trusted in you, this might not have happened. After everything I have done, I don't deserve to be loved.”
“Klaus actions are no one’s fault but his own.” Elijah gently urged her back to her feet. “Look around the room, Katerina. This is your not fault. You were scared, and you didn’t want to die. You were just a girl. You wanted to live, but you didn’t ask for your family to be slaughtered. Don’t leave this world with regrets. Face them head-on.”
Katherine looked around the room, and the bodies of her loved ones faded. The room changing. “My family wasn’t my biggest regret.”
“Then what was?” Elijah asked gently.
Suddenly, Katherine hears the tiny whimper of a crying baby.
She turned and noticed a tiny bassinet. She approached it slowly and stared down at her baby girl.
Elijah watched as this peaceful expression washed over Katherina, reminding him of the human girl he fell in love with.
Elijah walked up to the bassinet and gently lifted the baby into his arms. “She's beautiful, like her mother.” he passed the baby to Katherine.
Katherine cradled her daughter to her chest. Tears filling her eyes, feeling peace in the one moment she never got to have with her baby girl.

Klaus stepped into his home in Mystic Falls and tossed Damon’s unconscious body to the floor.
His head snapped up suddenly at the sound of approaching footsteps, his eyes narrowing. “Zachery, what are you doing here?”
“Caroline told us to stay here until things settled down in New Orleans, and she was done renovating our home there.” Zach’s brow furrowed. “She didn’t tell you?”
“No, she did not, but I know she’s been helping you,” Klaus answered, stepping forward. “Although I’m sure she had her reasons."
“Is it going to be a problem that we’re here?” Zach questioned as Klaus grabbed Damon’s arm and started dragging him across the floor.
“As long as you stay out of my way, there shouldn’t be?” Klaus growled. “I have pain to inflict.”
Zach followed him curiously, watching as Klaus dragged Damon’s body to a room. “And why are you torturing this vampire? What did he do to you?”
“It not what he did to me. It’s what he did to Caroline that he has to pay for.”
“Caroline?” Zach repeated his voice hardening over.
“How can we help?”
Klaus turned at the second voice. It was unfamiliar to him and turned to see more than one person with Zach.
There were six more wolves, four males, and two women.
“If he wrong Caroline then we all want to be a part of this.” Zach motioned to the others.
“And why would you care?” Klaus questioned.
“We care about Caroline,” Zach answered. “She may be a vampire, but to us, she is an honorary member of this pack. If you wronged one of us, you have wrong us all.”
“Caroline has made that much of an impression on you?” Klaus eyed them all.
“Would we do as she asked otherwise?” Zack responded. “We trust her with our lives, and if anyone has hurt her, we want in on making them pay.”
Klaus's lips pulled into a smirk. “Then let’s have some fun, shall we? We need heavy chains, blades, hot pokers, a sword, and vervain, all of which you can find in this household.” Klaus slapped his hands together eagerly. “Let’s get started.”

Elena walked into the room. “Elijah.” she was surprised to see him at Katherine’s bedside, holding her hand. “Is she…”
“No, right now, she’s just resting.” Elijah murmured, not looking away from Katherine. He couldn’t believe this would be the end of their story.
Elena was unsure of what to say, and to be honest with the way Elijah was looking at Katherine, she felt like she was intruding on a private moment.

Caroline looked at Stefan. “I can’t believe you were trapped in a box in the ocean for months, and no one could tell the difference between you and Silas,” she shook her head at him. “And don’t get me started on the fact that you didn't tell me Bonnie died.” her eyes shot to Bonnie. “And you’re a what now?”
“An anchor to the other side,” Bonnie told her.
Caroline threw her hands up. “I’m gone for a few months, and it’s like you all lost my number, or was it too much of a bother to call me and tell me what is going on.”
“You have so much going on in New Orleans, we didn’t want to worry you.” Stefan reasoned.
“But now that’s over.” Said Bonnie. “You’re home now. You can enroll at Whitmore and share a dorm room with Elena and me, just like you planned.”
“Plans change, and I’m not staying.”
“What are you talking about, Care?” Bonnie asked. “Why wouldn’t you stay?”
“This isn’t my home anymore. I belong in New Orleans.”
“You do not belong in New Orleans.” Bonnie objected. “This is your home.”
The front door opened as Tyler walked in. “What she means is she rather stay in New Orleans with Klaus because she’s with him.”
“Tyler,” Caroline glared.
“Hey. Where have you been?” Matt asked him, getting up to hug him.
“In New Orleans attacking ex’s and pregnant girls,” Caroline said sharply.
“What?” Stefan's eyes shot to Tyler. “You attacked Caroline and Hayley?”
“She’s the one shacking up with Klaus.” Tyler defended. “Did she tell you that?”
“I did because I’m not ashamed of being with him." Caroline's eyes shined with defiance. "Every one of you can accept it, or you can shut up about it. Your opinions will not change how I feel about Klaus.”
“Unbelievable,” Tyler muttered.
“I can’t find Damon!” Elena burst into the room, looking worried.
“He was upstairs,” Stefan told her.
“Well, he’s not up there.” Elena’s eyes narrowed. “Where did Klaus go?”
Caroline frowned. “Upstairs.”
“Klaus took him,” Elena said immediately. “What does he want with him?”
Caroline bit down on her lip. If Klaus grabbed Damon and left without her or Elijah, it was because he was going to do something and wanted to take his time, drag it out. “I’ll handle it.”
“This is exactly why you shouldn’t be with him.” Elena crossed her arms. “He has done so many horrible things to us. To me! How can you be with him?”
“Don’t,” Caroline said, sharply. “Don’t talk to me about being with someone who has done horrible things. You’re with Damon.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” Elena said, defensively.
“He’s worse than Klaus ever was!” Caroline snapped.
“No one is worse than Klaus!” Elena exclaimed. “He’s killed thousands of people, including Jenna, Jules, Tyler’s mom, he’s tried to kill us all at one point-”
“So has Damon. He killed Vicki, he turned your mom, he killed Rick, he attacked my dad, he killed Bonnie’s mom, he killed Stefan's best friend, he used me for a human blood bag and practically raped me. Don’t tell me Klaus is worse than him because he’s not. Not even on his worse day.”
“You slept with Damon willingly.” Elena protested. “Damon doesn’t need to go around raping women. He never has. They fall into bed with him of their own free will just like you did.”
“I did sleep with him willing.” Caroline nodded. “The first time but every other time after it was because I was compelled and being compelled to sleep with someone is not the same as giving consent. He took my ability to give consent. If that isn’t rape, then I don’t know what is.”
“Caroline,” Stefan sounded gutted. “I am so-”
“Don’t apologize. You are not responsible for Damon. I will go get Damon and bring your brother back to you,” she shot a glare at Elena. “I can’t promise it will be in one piece.”
Caroline turned on her heel and left, leaving most of her friends flabberghasted and Elena seething.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Klaus stabbed the hot blade into Damon's shoulder and dragged it down, cutting through Damon’s insides.
Damon groaned painfully. “What is your problem?”
“You.” Klaus held his hand out, and Zachery handed him a vial of vervain, in it's purest form. The flower. Klaus smashed it in his hand and smeared it into the open wound, taking pleasure in the sounds of Damon’s screams.
“You are my problem,” Klaus stepped back, leaving the weapon embedded in Damon. He picked up a carving knife and began peeling the skin from Damon’s torso, piece by painful piece.
Damon let loose a scream of pain. The agony was so intense his face changed, his eyes blackening.
“You think you can get away with doing anything to anyone. Normally I wouldn’t care but not this time. You crossed a line that should have never been crossed.”
“Last I checked you been in New Orleans, I’ve done nothing to you.” Damon clenched his jaw through the pain.
“Not to me. To Caroline. You used her, turned her into nothing but a warm body to warm your bed who you could take from whenever you want against her wishes, and discard her when you were done.”
“You’re implying that I raped Caroline?” Damon said in disbelief. “I don’t need to go around raping women. They love me. If she told you otherwise, she’s lying!”
“Funny you should say that,” Caroline walked into the room. “Klaus was the one who helped me realize I was in denial about what you did to me!”
Damon groaned. “Are you kidding me, blondie! A few months in New Orleans, and you’re hanging onto everything Klaus says! You do remember what he has done to Elena, don't you?!”
Klaus fisted his hair roughly, exposing his neck and bit into him, viciously. Nearly ripping his throat out and then spat Damon’s blood out like it was the vilest thing he ever tasted. “You will speak to her with respect, or I will rip out your tongue. Secondly, don’t make this about Elena. This is about your crimes against Caroline.”
“Klaus, this isn’t necessary,” Caroline said, moving forward to release Damon. “Just let him go.”
“Wait,” Klaus grabbed her hand. “Don’t you want to make him pay for what he did to you? He treated you less than human. He was a monster to you. Can you honestly tell me you didn’t have nightmares about what he did?”
“Klaus, I want to move on,” Caroline said. “Hurting him won’t change anything.”
“You’re right, so be the good person we know you are and let me go,” Damon interjected, hissing in pain.
“Shut up, Damon.” Caroline snapped. “We weren’t talking to you.”
“This is the way you banish the demons that he created.” Klaus pressed closer, whispering in her ear. “He made you suffer. Return the favor and show him he has no power over you.”
Caroline looked at Damon, her mind flashing back to memories she rather forget. Klaus stepped up behind her. He grabbed her by the hips and walked her closer to Damon. He took her hand, guiding it to the handle of the blade still embedded in Damon's stomach and wrapped her fingers around it, and pushed the blade deeper into Damon.
The sound of Damon groaning in pain, gave Caroline an unexpected feeling. Justified.
She tightened her hand around the blade and twisted it slowly. The sound of Damon, groaning music to her ears.
Caroline never thought she would be one to take pleasure in torturing someone.
But Damon was the exception. Especially now that she was no longer in denial about what he had done to her when she was still human.
Klaus released her hand and took a step back, and the second he did, Caroline pulled the sword out of Damon’s stomach.
Damon groaned out her name in pain. “Caroline, this isn’t you. Don’t let him turn you into him.”
Caroline scoffed. “You don’t know who I am, Damon.” Caroline plunged the sword, higher in his chest, avoiding his heart by an inch. “Not the person I have become. I have found myself. I no longer feel the need to be perfect. I don’t value others' opinions about me more than my own. I make my own choices, and I won’t apologize if their not what people expect.”
Caroline released the sword. “The person I am now, is strong and powerful and knows her self worth and refuses to give you of all people anything less than you deserve.”
Klaus watched Caroline with pride. It was amazing to see Caroline embracing the strong woman-
No, the Queen that she was.
His Queen.

“She should have been back with him by now,” Elena said, pacing worriedly.
“Who should have been back by now?” Liz asked, walking into the room.
“Caroline’s back,” Stefan told her. “She came back with Klaus, and we think he took Damon. She went to go get him.”
All Liz heard was that her daughter was back. “Is she at the Mikaelson Mansion?”
“I don’t know where else Klaus would take Damon,” Stefan admitted.
Liz nodded and headed for the door. She missed her daughter. She talked to Caroline every day, but it wasn’t the same as seeing her daughter in person, having her home again.
“Where are you going?” Stefan called after her.
“To see my daughter.”
“Stefan,” Elena interjected. “What about Damon?”
“I’ll go with her,” Stefan assured her. “I'll’ bring him back.”
He followed Liz out the door. He knew he should be concerned about what Klaus was doing to Damon, but having Caroline call out Damon for his abuse of her and calling it what it really was...
It was jarring, and he knew no matter how much he wish it wasn’t true, Damon deserved whatever punishment he got. Still, he was his brother and couldn’t let Klaus kill him though it would be justified. For Caroline.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Caroline pulled off Damon’s ring.
“No, don’t.”
Caroline ignored his protestation. “Open the blinds.”
Zach pulled the blinds open.
The second the sunlight touched Damon, he started to burn, his skin blistering.
Caroline watched as he cried out in pain and relished in the sound, in the way his face twisted in pain.
Klaus leaned back against the wall, legs crossed.
“Caroline,” Damon groaned. “Stop,”
Caroline snorted. Damon pleading for her to stop. At least he could still say the words.
“Shut the blind.” Caroline directed.
Zach pulled it shut.
Caroline looked to Klaus. “Give me a hand, will you?”
Klaus pushes off the wall. “What do you need me to do?”
“Pull his head back and open his jaw,” Caroline instructed, walking to Klaus’s cart of torture implements and grabbed the bottle of vervain, uncapping it.
Damon’s eyes widened, and he shook his head. “Caroline, you have to stop.”
“She can do whatever she wants.” Klaus gripped Damon’s chin prying his mouth open and forcing his head back. “I, for one hope that involves you dead. I would gladly rip your heart from your chest and present it to her.”
Caroline stepped forward. “I wouldn’t hurt Stefan like that. However, that doesn’t mean I can’t make you suffer.”
Caroline uncapped the vervain and poured it down Damon’s throat.
Damon attempted to scream out in agony, but it came out a bloody gurgle.
“Caroline, what the hell are you doing?!”
Caroline whirled around to see her mother standing with Stefan, looking horrified.
Caroline paused, looking caught as she stared at her mother.
Klaus stepped behind Caroline, his hand settling on her hip, sensing her wavering in the face of her mother. “She is exacting judgment on the bastard who wrong her.”
“What the hell are you talking about?” Liz asked.
“Go on, Stefan,” Klaus said. “Why don’t you tell Liz the history between your brother and her daughter.”
“I know the history between them,” Liz interjected. “They dated briefly when Caroline was human but ended things before she was turned to a vampire.”
“Oh, Sheriff, you have no idea of the true history between them. You’ve been kept in the dark all this time. Now it’s time to learn the truth about Damon. The man who you call your friend and how he abused your daughter.”
Liz looks at Caroline questioningly. “What is he talking about, Caroline?”
"Mom, you don't want to know." Caroline shook her head.
Liz's eyes narrowed. "If he hurt you, I need to know. It's my right as your mother."
Caroline took a step toward her mom. “I slept with Damon when I first met him, he was cute, and I thought he liked me, and I was feeling competitive with Elena.”
“I’m aware that you and Damon were together intimately,” Liz said, uncomfortably.
“But that morning, I woke up remembering how he attacked me, remembering he wasn't human. I was scared, and I was terrified, and he threw me on the bed when I fought back and tried to run. He compelled me not to be afraid.” Caroline continued as if her mom hadn’t spoken.
Liz walked closer to her daughter, a pit of dread forming in her stomach. “Oh, Caroline,” she murmured.
Stefan didn’t know what to say. He felt like he didn’t have the right to speak. He knew Damon had compelled Caroline to be complacent, to be his blood bag, to be his puppet, his plaything. He knew what was happening, and he didn’t do anything to stop him.
“I couldn’t say no because he made me complacent. I couldn’t control how I felt. He took that from me. For weeks he took away my ability to give consent, to say no, to feel what I really felt about him. Mom, Damon, turned me into a human blood bag to please his every need."
“No,” Damon shook his head, blood dripping from his mouth. “It wasn’t like that.”
Klaus whirled around, stuffing a vervain soaked cloth in Damon’s mouth. “Silence.”
“Damon practically raped me. More than once.” Caroline's voice cracked, hating to have to tell her mother this. Feeling a sense of shame though logically, she knew she had nothing to be ashamed of. None of it had been her fault.
Liz opened and closed her mouth, eyes feeling with angry tears. She shook her head.
“Mom, please, you have to believe me,” Caroline needed her mother to be on her side. She needed her mom.
“I do.” Liz took that last step toward Caroline and pulled her into her arms, holding her daughter close, cupping the back of her head. “I believe you.”
Liz locked eyes with Damon, and she felt disgusted. She had considered Damon her closest friend. Someone she trusted. The man who had hurt and abused her daughter more than anyone. She never thought her daughter would be a victim of sexual assault. She was the town’s sheriff. She was her mother. She should have protected her.
“Liz, I didn’t.” Damon shook his head. “She never said no.”
Liz felt her daughter tense in her arms, and she did not hesitate. She unholstered her gun and fired without hesitation.
Damon’s body jerked with every bullet that tore through him. Once, twice, three times. Damon let out a pained groan.
“Shut up, and feel grateful that I don’t have my wooden bullets on me.” Liz spat.
Caroline pulled back and stared at her mother in surprise.
“Liz, I understand that you’re angry,” said Stefan, speaking for the first time.
“Angry doesn’t even begin to cover it!” Liz whirled around on him. “Tell me something, Stefan, did you know? Did Elena? Was I the only one in the dark about how my daughter suffered at Damon’s hands?!”
“When it was happening, I knew he was compelling her. I knew he was feeding on her and ordering her around.” Stefan confessed voice laced with guilt.
“And you said nothing!? Did nothing!?” Liz raised her gun, pointing it at him this time.
“Mom, no,” Caroline pushed her arm down. “Don’t. Even if he had done something, I don’t know if it would have changed anything. It could have just made things worse.”
“But why didn’t you?” Klaus was focused on Stefan, his steps slow like a predator closing in on his prey.
“I was afraid of him retaliating. I was afraid of him hurting someone-”
“Someone?” Klaus repeated, his tone dark, the anger once again resurfacing. “He was hurting someone! He was hurting Caroline!” Klaus wrapped his hands around Stefan’s throat and ran him into the wall. “No, you weren’t concern about him hurting someone. You were worried he was going to come after Elena!”
“No,” Stefan shook his head as Damon groaned out his brother’s name, worriedly.
“Is Elena’s life more important than Caroline?!” Klaus demanded. “The girl who left you for your brother?! Do you look at Caroline and see her as expendable?!”
“Liz,” Damon spoke up. “Stop him. Stefan had nothing to do with this.”
Liz, in response, raised her gun and aimed at him. “Don’t speak to me.” she pulled the trigger and shot Damon in the head, silencing him. It wouldn’t kill him, but it would keep him down momentarily.
“Of course not,” Stefan protested. “I didn’t really know her then. I had no idea she was going to become one of my closest friends.”
“That’s not good enough,” Liz stepped forward. “She was just a girl, you should have stopped what was happening. You are just as bad.” Liz never thought she would look at Damon and Stefan and think Klaus Mikaelson was the better man of the three.
Klaus, who terrorized her town, cared more for her daughter than she believed the man was capable of. She was glad to be proven wrong and that her daughter had someone that would throw himself in front of her at a moment’s notice if it meant he was protecting her.
“Caroline, I’m sorry,” Stefan said, looking past Klaus to Caroline.
“Sorry isn’t good enough.” Klaus plunged his hand into Stefan’s chest.
“Klaus, that’s enough!” Caroline placed her hand on his back. “Stefan is not responsible for Damon’s actions, and he’s my closest friend.”
“He’s not a very good one.” Klaus ground out but pulled his hand from Stefan’s chest, dropping him.
Stefan groaned and pushed to his feet after a moment. “Caroline, I know you have every right to be angry, and I have no right to ask, but I need you to let Damon go.”
Caroline looked back at Damon, then at Stefan. “Why? He’s a monster. He’s terrible to everyone around him. He destroys everything he touches.”

Katherine’s eyes drifted open slowly.
Stefan’s room came back into focus, Elijah sitting next to her. “Elijah,”
“Katerina,” he smiled sadly, tracing her jaw.
“I half think you being here is just a part of my imagination or some sick twisted joke of Damon’s so he could rip the rug out from under me.”
“Why would you think I’m a part of your imagination?” Elijah wondered, running his hand down her arm.
“It doesn’t make sense for you to be here. Family means everything to you. You should be in New Orleans with Klaus watching over Caroline. What she is doing is a miracle. A pregnant vampire? Can’t get more shocking than that!”
“What did you just say?” Elijah was taken back. “Caroline is a vampire.”
“I know that. I was the one who turned her.”
“Katherine. Vampires can’t get pregnant.” Elijah stressed, thinking that the fact that she was dying was making her delusional.
“That’s what makes her pregnancy so special.” Katherine insisted.
“I think you’re confusing Caroline with Hayley. Hayley is the one pregnant with Niklaus’s children.”
“No,” Katherine shook her head. She pushed up on the bed, trying to sit up. Elijah seeing her struggle, lifted her, and helped her into a sitting position. “That’s a lie. Caroline was targeted by the witches because she was pregnant. It’s why I sent Klaus to New Orleans.”
Elijah was reeling. There was no way what Katherine said was true. Caroline was a vampire. She couldn’t get pregnant. The witches targeted her because of what they believed she meant to his brother.
And Hayley she wouldn’t lie to him, she wouldn’t deceive him in such a way.
Except she had before about Celeste. She had proven she could be selfish if she thought it would benefit her.
Katherina didn’t seem like she was lying. She sounded so certain of her knowledge, but that could be a lie. Another one of her manipulations. However, what would be the point. She was dying. She had nothing to gain from making up something so ludicrous.
Why would she lie?
“If what you say is true, how could you possibly know this?” Elijah questioned, wanting her to be wrong.
“I’m Katherine Pierce! I make it my business to know everything. For the last five hundred years, I’ve been in hiding, running from Klaus, trying to stay a step ahead of him. If I had something over him, I could barter my freedom. I sent Klaus to New Orleans because the witches took Caroline after she became pregnant. I assumed when Caroline didn’t come back that Klaus had her safely locked away, awaiting the birth of his child,” Katherine laughed bitterly. “In the end, Klaus really does get whatever he wants. He wanted Caroline, and he got her pregnant with twins no less. She will forever be tied to him now. He always wins.”
Elijah shook his head. “This shouldn’t be possible. It can’t be true.”
“You don’t believe me, fine.” Said Katherine. “Then, go inside my head and see the truth for yourself.”
“Katarina.”
“You don’t want to know the truth, why?” Katherine asked.
“Hayley would not do something so despicable as to steal another woman’s children.”
Katherine’s eyes narrowed. “Hayley means something to you. That is why you don’t want to face the truth.”
Elijah was silent, his jaw clenching.
“Tell me, Elijah is what you feel for her more important than your family?” Asked Katherine feeling a twinge of jealousy.
“Never,” Elijah answered. “My family is everything to me. You know that better than anyone.”
“Then believe when I say that Hayley did something. Caroline is the one who was pregnant before the Deveraux witches got their hands on her.” Katherine reached up and cupped Elijah’s jaw. “The question now is, will you accept the truth or choose to live a lie that Hayley told you?”
Elijah clenched his jaw, closing his eyes. Already knowing the answer. Even if the truth would hurt everyone involved.
He picked up his phone. He had to make a call.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Stefan knew Caroline was right. He said the same thing about Damon once, but it didn’t change one thing. “He’s still my brother.”
Caroline clenched her jaw. No matter how much she hated Damon and wanted him to pay, there were still people that she cared about that cared for Damon. And while she wanted Damon to suffer, she did not want the same for Stefan. Or even Elena despite their fight.
Caroline remembered Rebekah telling her once that her habit of putting others before herself was going to end up being the one thing that would come back on her. Maybe she was right, but it was also who she was. She wanted Stefan to be happy and Elena too. She just hated that Damon was the person they needed to be happy.
Caroline nodded slowly. “Okay. For you.” Caroline would do this for him because she wasn’t sure she would be here today if it wasn’t for Stefan. He helped her through her turning. Besides, it wasn’t his fault his brother was scum.
Stefan expected to feel relief, but he didn’t. All he felt was guilt. Caroline deserved better than what Damon did to her. A better friend than himself. She deserved someone in her life who would put her above all others. Perhaps she found that in Klaus. She certainly had him wrapped around her finger.
“Caroline, you can’t be serious,” Klaus's voice was low, his anger apparent in his eyes. “Damon should die for what he did to you, and if Stefan wants to die along with him, then so be it!”
“It should be my choice,” Caroline turned, placing her hand over his heart. “I was the one Damon hurt. Besides,” Caroline's lips pulled into a dark smile. “This way, we can make sure this isn’t the only time he’s punished. I think he will need the reminder every now and then that compelling is the same as taking someone’s consent and what better way to remind him than torturing him whenever the situation arises.”
Liz knew she should be bothered by Caroline’s talk of torture, but all she could see was that her daughter had been sexually assaulted by someone she thought was her friend. A mother’s worst nightmare. Damon deserved all the torture that came his way.
Klaus smirked. “I do believe I am rubbing off on you, Love.”
Klaus's phone vibrated, and he picked it up. “Niklaus, you and Caroline need to come to see Katerina. Now. She has information you and Caroline both need to hear. It’s about Hayley.”
Klaus scoffed. “It can wait.”
“No, it cannot. It involves the twins.” Elijah insisted gravely.
Caroline's eyes shot to Klaus, and she nodded at him. Nothing was more important than his children.
“We’re on our way.” Klaus ended the call.
Caroline looked at Stefan. “Damon’s all yours.”
Zach, however, gripped two hot pokers and stabbed one through Damon's upper spine and one through his lower spine, twisting them violently. Damon screamed out. “Now, he can have him.”
Zach would rather kill him, but if Caroline said to leave him alive, then he would go along with it but not without hurting the vampire.
“Caroline,” Liz said as her daughter started to walk out with Klaus. “I’m sorry.”
Caroline shook her head. “It’s okay. You didn’t know.”
“We need to go,” Klaus said, he looked at Zach. “Make sure the Salvatore's leave my home, then gather the rest of your pack and meet me at the boarding house. You, Caroline, and I have a lot to talk about.”
Zach nodded, his eyes drifting to Caroline, she was smiling reassuringly at him.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Caroline ignored Elena and the others when they got back to the Boarding house heading straight for Stefan’s room.
Elena tried to follow after them, calling out to Caroline. “Where’s Damon?”
“Stop, Elena!” Liz interjected, blocking her path. “Stefan will be back with Damon shortly.”
“What did Klaus do to him?” Elena glared after Caroline and Klaus as they disappeared deeper into the house.
“Nothing he didn’t deserve,” Liz replied flatly, eyes cold. “You should be thanking Caroline. If it were up to me, I would kill him for what he did to her. Instead, I’ll be watching him closely, and if he ever hurts another girl the way he hurt my daughter, I will put a wooden bullet in his heart.”
Elena opened and closed her mouth, watching as Liz turned, following after Caroline and Klaus before she could defend Damon.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Elijah looked up as Klaus entered the room. “Niklaus.”
“Is she..” Caroline stepped closer to the bed and looked at Katherine.
“Not dead yet,” Katherine smirked, her eyes moved over Caroline, lingering on her flat stomach. “It’s true. I can’t believe it! How did Hayley even manage it?”
“Hayley?” Klaus repeated. “What are you talking about?”
“I think this is a conversation we need to have alone,” Elijah stated.
Caroline looked behind them and saw that her mother stood in the doorway.
“The rest of the pack is waiting outside,” Zach informed them, appearing in the doorway.
Elijah looked around. “This only concerns Caroline and Klaus.”
“If it concerns my daughter. It concerns me.” Liz’s tone was sharp as she sent Elijah a glare, coming to stand beside her daughter.
Caroline’s eyes narrowed. “Then my mom and Zach can hear this. Their family.”
Zach stepped closer to Caroline at the fact that she referred to him as family, a smile pulling at the corners of his mouth.
“I didn’t completely believe Elijah when he told me,” Katherine’s eyes were on Caroline. “But seeing as you’re not sporting a baby bump, I can see he was telling the truth.”
“What the hell are you talking about?” Caroline asked, baffled.
“I am talking about the fact that when the witches took you, you were the one who was pregnant. Not Hayley,” Katherine said, scooting up till she was propped up against the headboard.
“What?” Liz's eyes widened in shock.
“No, I wasn’t!” Caroline protested.
“Have you lost your mind?! Vampires can’t get pregnant!” Klaus shook his head. “Clearly, you’re delusional.”
“I’m telling the truth. I don’t know what happened. I don’t know how Hayley stoled your pregnancy, but she did.” Katherine insisted, she looked at Klaus. “If you don’t believe me go inside my mind. I have sources that told me the witches were planning something for a vampire you got pregnant, but I never thought it was this.”
“You’re lying,” Caroline shook her head. “It’s not possible.”
“Why else do the witches need you if they had Hayley, the one supposively carrying his twins. They didn’t need two bargaining chips. They took you so they could steal your unborn child, and they kept you close for the same reason.”
“It’s not possible!” Caroline shook her head, eyes flashing.
“Tell me this then, the week leading up to your abduction, were you feeling off?” Katherine challenged.
“It was just some bad blood,” Caroline replied, remembering how she had thrown up.
“Fine, what about in New Orleans when you woke up as the witches hostage? Was there anything unusual?”
Caroline thought back, and her eyes shuttered, opening and closing her mouth.
“Caroline?” Klaus asked in concern. “What is it?”
“When I first woke up, and I was in New Orleans, I felt this pain in my stomach. It wasn’t just physical. I felt like I lost something, but I chalked it up to being disoriented from just regaining consciousness.” Caroline admitted, but this couldn’t be possible. You can’t just steal another woman’s pregnancy and carry them as your own. The very notion was insane.
Katherine nodded. “You might not want to believe, but I am telling the truth. From one mother to another. I would not lie about this.”
“Show them,” Zach stepped forward, he looked from Klaus and Caroline. “If this is true, you have to know.”
Klaus stepped forward, and Katherine tensed. “If you’re lying, I don’t care if its the end for you, I’ll make sure you die the most agonizing death imaginable.” And with that, Klaus dove into her mind. He pushed past her memories he deemed unnecessary.
Finally, he found a memory.
Katherine spoke to a witch he recognized. A vampire from New Orleans. His name was Randall.
He was eating out of the palm of Katherine’s hand, staring at her as if she was a siren.
“I overheard the two witches and their planning something against Klaus. Apparently, he got a blonde vampire pregnant in the small town of Mystic Falls. They're planning to take her and use her against him.”
Katherine let out a laugh. This was precisely the kind of information needed to bargain for her safety. “Tell me everything.”
“The girl’s name is Caroline Forbes, and she is completely unaware of the life growing inside of her.”
Klaus ripped away from Katherine with an angry roar that vibrated through the room.
Caroline’s chest tightened. Klaus anger speaking volumes about what he saw in Katherine’s head. “Klaus?”
Klaus whirled around toward her, his face fully transformed, his hybrid features on full display. “Hayley will pay for this!”
Caroline’s hands went to her stomach, a feeling of loss consuming her. How could she mourn something she hadn’t even been aware she lost?
Confusion and anger whirled through her, but as she stared at Klaus, she felt herself reacting to the news, the truth, and his anger.
Her own anger building and bubbling to the surface, tearing at her, shredding every other emotion.
Hayley and the witches took what was not theirs to take. Pieces of her. Pieces of Klaus. They took something she would never have.
She hadn't felt this violated since she suffered at Damon's hands.
“Call Rebekah, tell her to detain Hayley and to find Sophie,” Caroline ordered. “We’re leaving now.” She wanted to get back to New Orleans. “And no one and I mean no one hurts them.” Caroline looked directly at Klaus. “If anyone is going to make them suffer, it’s going to be me.”
Katherine raised a brow. “Time spent in Klaus’s bed did wonders for your confidence, Caroline.”
“Shut up, Katherine.” Caroline snapped, eyes blackened, she looks at Elijah. “Load her up in the car. She is going to New Orleans with us.”
“I’m going where?” Katherine jerked in surprise.
“You’re not getting out of this that easily,” Caroline stated. “I’ll talk to Davina. See if she can help find a way to prolong your life. If you’re lucky, we might even find a way to save you.”
“Caroline,” Liz said. “What are you going to do?”
Caroline turned to her mom, and she was relieved that her mother didn’t flinch back at her vampiric features. “I’m going to get to the bottom of this. For myself, for Klaus, for the children that were taken from me!”
Liz nodded. “You’ll call me when everything is done?”
“I will,” Caroline said as Elijah scooped Katherine up in his arms.
Klaus took her hand. “Let’s go. Elijah can call Rebekah once we’re on the road.”
Zach stepped forward. “We’re going back with you.” his eyes settled on Caroline. “I told you before you are a member of this pack. We don’t care that you’re a vampire. You’ve looked after us and wanted nothing in return. We’re family. When the witches took from you, they took from the pack too, and no one messes with our pack. Our family.”
If she wasn’t so angry, Caroline would have been touched by his words. “Get the others. We’re leaving. Now.”
Zach nodded and walked out of the room, Caroline quickly said goodbye to her mother before flashing out, Klaus went to follow her, but Liz stopped him, stepping in his path.
“Keep my daughter safe, and my grandchildren,” Liz asked of him, though it sounded more like an order.
Klaus looked at her. He didn’t see the mistrust in her eyes that he once did. He nodded at her and sped past her.
Elijah nodded at Liz, Katherine in his arms, clutching at his shoulders. He took off.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Rebekah glanced at the name on her phone, she and Hayley were having dinner at the compound. Not wanting Hayley to be alone while her brother’s and Caroline were in Mystic Falls.
Elijah’s name flashed on her screen.
“Elijah,” she picked up the call. “How’s Mystic Falls?”
“Is Hayley with you?”
Rebekah looked at Hayley. “She is right across from me. So if you’re worried about her, don’t be. She’s fine.”
Hayley looked up, curious, hearing Elijah’s voice.
“Detain her. I don’t care how you do it, but get it done.”
Hayley’s eyes widened in alarm.
“Why would I do that?”
“Because Sophie Deveraux and Hayley having been lying to us from the start.”
“What are you talking about?” Rebekah asked, confused.
“Caroline was pregnant when the witches brought her to New Orleans. Sophie took the babies and put them in Hayley’s womb. They had been playing us all for fools." Elijah grew angrier with every word he spoke. "They took the twins from their true mother. They have taken our family.”
Hayley scooted her chair back as Rebekah looked at her with the coldest expression she had ever seen.
“Don’t take another step!” Rebekah warned.
“Rebekah, please, I can explain.” Hayley pleaded, stepping back, heart pounding in her chest.
Rebekah flashed forward, yanking Hayley to her with one arm and pressing two of her fingers to the back of Hayley’s neck.
Hayley slumped forward, her body curling in on herself as she lost consciousness.
Rebekah caught her around the waist and carefully lowered her to the floor, not wanting to hurt the babies.
Rebekah pressed her phone back to her ear. “Put Caroline on the phone,” she ordered.
“Rebekah.”
Rebekah could hear the rage in Caroline’s voice, and she didn’t blame her. “What do you want me to do?”
“Whatever it takes to keep Hayley there. Make sure she's secure, then I want you to grab Sophie and bring her back to the compound.”
“And then?” Rebekah asked.
“Leave the rest to me,” Caroline's voice was full of malice and hatred, reminding Rebekah so much of Klaus. “They are mine to punish, and I will be the one to make them suffer.”
“We’ll be waiting for your return.” Rebekah ended the call, her face twisting in a sneer as she stared down at Hayley.
To think she had actually considered the girl a friend. What a fool she’d been.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Sophie groaned. She was slouched over the top of the bar of Russo's. Her head pounded, and she felt like she was going to be sick to her stomach. No matter how much alcohol she drank to numb the pain of her failure, the grief tore at her.
A bell sounded.
“We’re closed.” She said, not lifting her head.
“Not to me. You have things to answer for.”
Sophie lifted her head from the bar top and turned to Rebekah. “I don’t care what it is that you want, but I am not in the mood to deal with your drama with your brother. Take your family drama else-”
Rebekah ran forward and wrap her hands around Sophie’s throat. “Keep my family out of your mouth, baby snatcher!”
Sophie’s eyes widened.
“That’s right. I know what you and Hayley have done, and I'm not the only one who knows the truth.” Rebekah's hand tightened on her throat.
Sophie began to choke, she couldn’t breathe. “Stop!”
Rebekah smirked. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to kill you,” she let up on her throat. “That honor is Caroline’s.”
Sophie cried out as she sailed through the air, crashing into the bottles of liquor behind the bar and landing in shattered glass, shards cutting into her skin.
“However, I think I will enjoy inflicting some damage on my family’s behalf,” Rebekah smirked as she swung over the bar. She brought her high heel down on the back of Sophie's calf. The heel tearing through skin and muscle.
Sophie’s screams of pain echoing through the empty bar.
Rebekah smirked, eyes glinting with satisfaction.
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
Sophie woke up with a start. She was shackled to the wall, and her body ached, her leg was in agony. She looked around frantically and saw Hayley was bound to a chair by her hands and feet.
“What did you tell them?!” Sophie hissed.
“Nothing!” Hayley snapped. “What did you tell them?!”
Caroline stepped into the room. “Shut up the both of you!”
Sophie and Hayley tensed as Klaus stepped into the room behind her.
“Where’s Elijah?” Hayley asked.
Rebekah stepped into the room. “Oh, he’s getting Katherine settled into her new room. You’re room, Hayley. If you’re expecting him to help you, you’re dumber than you’ve already proved yourself to be.”
“Katherine's here?” Hayley was surprised.
“Who the hell is Katherine?” Sophie demanded.
“She is the one who sung your secrets.” Klaus spat, flashing forward, his hands wrapping around Sophie’s throat. “You think you can take from me, from Caroline, and I wouldn’t find out?”
Hayley'a heart pounded in her chest, seeing the hatred in Caroline’s eyes, the rage, the malice. She swallowed.
The hate coming off of Caroline in waves was palpable. A living breathing thing, taking shape right before her eyes as the blonde’s eyes darkened, veins, spreading out from her skin, fangs dropping.
It was over. Hayley knew this with absolute certainty as she listened to Sophie struggle to breathe, gasping for breath.
Their secret was out, and there was nowhere for them to run. They were surrounded by enemies. Their actions had finally come back around to them.
Hayley's body shook, and she pulled at her binds as the fear she felt took hold.
Hayley knew with absolute certainty that she had more time than Sophie. Until the babies were born, she would be unharmed, but what then?
How agonizing would her death be? She didn’t want to find out.
Her heart clenched in her chest. She shouldn’t have done this. All she wanted was her pack, her family, and now her fate was sealed, and she had no one to blame but Sophie and herself.

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY OF MY LOVES ARE ORIGINAL CHARACTERS? no? cool well ya’ll are about to find out .and BELIEVE ME when i tell you that you should follow the shit out of all of these guys. if you haven’t already. and if you haven’t, what are you doing you’re so missing out!!!
@bloodmirrored ; @keeperofhumanity ; @1000liveslived ; @dissolvedshadows ; @wulfking ; @oddyssea ; @peaceific ; @grcdy ; @beaniesandmachetes ; @cordeliakomskaikru / @rainkilled ; @roaming-agent ; @motherbuilt ; @lead-pencilskirt ; @sterxid ; @scarredesmeralda
alright this time i got smart and am listing in alphabetical order so it’s easier for ya’ll to find your little love blurb:
@1000liveslived --- so i know i was later than most people to hop onto the ‘holy shit jess is literally one of the most incredible humans’ bandwagon but i’m here. and i have my little conductors hat. and we gon fuck some shit up with love alright? but you know i love you. let’s talk about how much i love emma. emma is realistic. and dynamic. and she breaks your god damn heart as much as she makes it soar. emma, to me, feels like the kind of character that could exist in real life. she has flaws, she has strength, she has this lingering air of reality about her that not many people can bring to an oc. and tbh all of your ocs are like that and i love them all so much. they’re such unique characters and i love them more than anything.
@beaniesandmachetes --- ok so i know you’re technically not on jake as much anymore but tbh this is the blog where i first fell in love with everything about your blogs. for starters, your writing is to die for, writing with you has always been one of my favorite things. i love all the little details you put into jake and how you make him stand out among other ocs and other blogs that use jared as a fc. and while we’re at it, let’s talk about jared as a fc bc like honestly once in awhile an oc will come along where the fc is honestly just PERFECT and it makes the character and drives everything and tbh i can’t imagine jake with any other fc. jared is perfect. every last minute detail ( which i’m sure you’ve thought through bc you’re just that attuned to your characters and i love it ) is perfection. seriously i am deathly terrified of zombies but like your blog would make me try and watch twd again. which is a big thing, ok? bc i’m literally terrified of zombies.
@bloodmirrored --- icb i’m literally mentioning you on all of these ffs everyone’s gonna know i’m trash for you. but you have 800 blogs and i can’t tag them all so i’m just gonna tag this one especially and give @reapcriisms a shout out bc fuck man i love aleksei but ok anyway let’s talk about the sweetmeadows: bc i. love. them. so. freaking. much. you’ve made such a wonderful, organic, and believable contrast between the twins. where i don’t think they could exist in a verse where the other one doesn’t. as stand alone characters, they’re phenomenal, but when you put them together it’s like this magic just happens and you get to this whole other level of understanding and quality and overall perfection and i’ve told you before and i’ll tell you again that you honestly do develop some of the best ocs i’ve seen. like you have 800 of them.
@cordeliakomskaikru / @rainkilled --- le sigh. i’m mentioning both of them under one little paragraph bc i don’t wanna seem unfair but i feel like you should know by now that i could go on about your muses for 1800 days. seriously though. i’ve never met anyone who could have the kind of muse range that you do. like all of your muses, be them canon or oc, have different voices and mannerisms and none of them bleed together ( which tbh i feel like is super hard to do idk how you do this ) and i honestly forgot ( like legitimately ) that cordelia and peter weren’t “canon” like i got super confused when the trailer came out and i was like what an outrage where is cordelia i am going to riot oh shit wait she’s not technically in this show whatthefuck basically though, everytime i think i can’t love you more, you go and do something else that makes me love you more. just stop. my heart will explode. and i will die.
@dissolvedshadows --- throwback to those like 6 months where i did nothing but stalk your blog and constantly hover over the follow button and debate whether or not i should just go for it bc i was like ‘well shit if they don’t follow me back imma die’ BUT YOU DID AND HERE YOU ARE and skdjfsdkjlfh wow ok lets talk about caleb and ana. i am a sucker for characters who have two seemingly contrasting characteristics but somehow it works. like case in point, the thousand year old terrifying pretty much all powerful immortal demon who can’t figure out how to google things and ana the badass ‘could probably kill a man with boots and look fab doing it’ but who also i feel like just kinda needs someone to love her ( coughconnorcough ) and it takes someone with serious writing chops to pull that off, which --- hello, it’s you. it’s literally always gonna be you. i don’t think i’ll ever be able to accurately describe how much i adore you. but it’s a lot. a whole lot.
@grcdy --- !!!! JURASSIC WORLD OC !!!! like honestly i don’t know why the whole world doesn’t follow you for just that reason alone? which yes, would do you a total injustice bc you are so much more than just a jurassic world oc BUT YOU’RE A JURASSIC WORLD OC but ok, fangirling about your amazing oc making decisions aside, can we all please collectively appreciate bella? please? because girl is fuckin fantastic. like strong and smart and tough and incredible and badass and all around just a wonderful character that should have existed in the movie ( and now does, in my mind, thanks. ) and i just like, you guys. jurassic world. original character. plus great writing. plus and even better mun. plus just a great fucking character there are no drawbacks.
@keeperofhumanity --- i know you’re not as active on z anymore which tbh i think is a tragedy because of all of your characters ( which are all awesome ) z has always had such a soft spot in my heart. not only have you managed to make a character that is totally and completely badass without going over the top and in your face about it and making it hard to write with, but you’ve managed to weave in this incredibly soft and tender side of her. very few people can do that with the amount of finesse that you’ve managed to. and yes, no matter what blog you’re on you’re an incredible writer and an incredible human, but fucking hell ash you literally mined gold when it came to zandra. she’s incredible. like you.
@lead-pencilskirt --- emma aka the biggest sweetheart of an oc ever to be made aka the love of my life aka idk how you made her this amazing and how you yourself are this amazing but holy shit it’s like the holy grail of rp blogs. like writing with emma feels breezy. chemistry is natural, writing is fun, our threads are kinda just a nice break to be able to reply to. i love well developed ocs that feel like they could super easily just step out of the rp world and into the real world and we would never know the difference and emma i feel like fits that mold to a perfect t.
@motherbuilt --- and here we have another one of those oc’s where i have to literally remind myself that she’s not “canon” because she’s so canon it hurts. honestly i swear i don’t know how you do it or how you’ve made her this true to life and fit her in so well to the t100 universe but you’ve struck gold, okay? because lou feels like a part of that universe. she feels like she belongs with the other characters. and the whole idea of this scared kid who is gonna have a baby on the ground where they’re all probably gonna die? it’s freaking genius. plus lou herself is just all sorts of tough and badass and inspiring but also has this soft side and she’s so loyal and i love her to death. and i love all of our threads so freaking much.
@oddyssea --- okay but you literally took like one of my favorite tropes ( the bantery treasure hunting guy ) and made him better. and you gave him an accent. and you developed tf out of him to the point where i’ll be like psh nice try indiana jones but karter kane coulda done all that and looked better doing it ( which is hard to do, i mean we’re talking about young harrison ford here okay? ) but alright like, not only is karter an incredible oc but he’s one of those muses that i just love reading things for. i love all of your threads, even the ones that don’t even involve me in any way shape or form. you made an oc that’s fun to read and fun to write with and is just all around a great character. fuck man i could go on and on about how incredible he is and i probably will for the next billion years bc you’re stuck with me ( and care ) for at least that long
@peaceific --- when i first followed you i honestly had to like refrain myself from getting giddy everytime you expressed an interest in writing with me. because you have been and always will be one of THOSE blogs. like the blogs that just radiate in the quality vibe. everything about noah and your blog and your writing and theme and everything is so perfectly matched and formatted and organized, i envy it. and even beyond that, noah is a fucking incredible character. like the most original idea for a character i’ve seen in my time here. i can’t get enough of writing with you. i can’t get enough of talking to you. i just wish i could constantly force you to bask in that kind of love day in and day out until you were like ‘damn ok i get it we’re loved’
@roaming-agent --- my girl. caroline’s girl. literally like i feel like you me and lissa need to make some kind of charlie’s angels verse with these three bc that’s totally the vibe i get from them. honestly though i just really love taylor. there’s something about her that’s really innocent and sweet despite the fact that i am fully aware that she is a not so secret badass at heart. she feels so real, and i love the development you’ve done with her and how you’ve expertly woven her into frank and joe’s lives and stories and it just brings new life and new levels and new angles to everything. plus, you’re literally one of the best people to talk to and write with like you’re such a freaking sweetheart idek how to deal with it.
@scarredesmeralda --- alright so we haven’t written yet and we’ve only been following one another for a little bit but already i know i’m gonna love you. because not only do you have a great fucking oc who you’ve managed to adapt to so many different verses ( which is no easy feat, i know ) but you are just like the nicest person ever. you’re like a mama lion protecting her cubs and i love that you’re so bold about what you believe in, i love talking to you, i cannot wait to write with you and explore different verses and muse chemistry and just see how things go. i give you all of the applause because you deserve it.
@sterxid --- ok but will i ever flail enough about how much i adore you and your blog? probably not. but we’re gonna keep trying until you get sick of hearing it. the first time i fell in love with your blog, i fell in love with one of your promos and honestly it was so gorgeous and simplistic and i just had to follow you because i needed more of that kind of quality on my dash. and you did not disappoint. not even for one second. every edit you make has this raw, simplistic, but gorgeous quality that is so aesthetically appealing and it’s all backed by this fantastically developed and written character. i swear lik everything about your blog is so downright gorgeous that i don’t even know how to properly express how much i love it except to flail over you constantly. so that’s what i’m gonna do.
@wulfking --- the god damn love of my life. i’ve told you a lot about how incredible alex is but now i’m just gonna tell you again bc you definitely don’t hear it enough: alex is incredible. you have put so much thought not only into the character you’re writing but into the world around him, his species, his family, his background, his mannerisms that he could ( and should ) be a real canon character somewhere. only i feel like even that would do him a disservice because he is so beyond the constraints of any canon anywhere. you write alex with a kind of adoration and love and skill that i could never hope to have and that a lot of us i think could never really hope to have. you’re just a natural born creative mind and a talented writer and you inspire me on the daily.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY - your tipsy internet neighbor
if you had a twin i would still choose you
AO3 Link || FFN Link
@thenameismaynard bc this is your fault @kingcobrakai1972 bc you asked me to @shadowcatgirl09 bc I just love you, hey girl @respectable-alcoholic bc you also asked to be tagged in trash fics
To the whole Bonkamily, I love you all, you’re beautiful people. Enjoy your Valentine’s Day fluff, it’s also under the cut if you don’t feel like leaving Tumblr.
Bonkai. Fluff. AH AU. Humor. Mildest angst bc I apparently can’t help myself. Motivated by a conversation gone terribly awry that I had with @thenameismaynard on Tumblr (keenan24 on ffn, I believe). Anyway, the prompt we hijacked was “Person A shuffles nervously around at a party. Person B startles them with a ‘Hello, glad you could make it. I’ll be your designated extrovert for the evening if you could please follow me.’”
I’m not going to tell you the song the title came from - if you don’t know, I’m disappointed in you. Also Funyuns vs Hot Fries/Cheetos is an actual ongoing debate between myself and my SO. I’m team Cheetos and he’s team Funyucks. No beta, all mistakes are mine and I wrote this while fairly tipsy, so there’s probs quite a few.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
“Okay, so…” Kai pauses, considering his words. “Right, so Funyuns. It all starts over a bag of Funyuns.”
“Funyuns?” a disbelieving voice queries.
“That’s what I said,” Kai answers. “Anyway, you know how I teach little kids piano for this after school program? Well, one day, I was just desperately craving Funyuns, so I go mug the vending machine.”
.o.0.0.o.
Kai groans, irritated at the stupid snack machine that ate his money again. With a sigh, the tall man looks up and down the hallway before proceeding to kick in the fucktarded money-stealing vendor. It’s an older model, not one of those futuristic ones that locks up tighter than a nun, so  eventually the force of his kicks causes his bag of Funyuns and a honey bun to fall into the receptacle. The hungry grad student takes both treats and makes his way back to the music room.
He’s an adult volunteer at Whitmore’s elementary school every Tuesday and Wednesday. It was something he started doing two years ago as an undergrad because it looked good on a resume, but then kept up with because fuck him, he actually liked the way little faces lit up  when they realized what their grubby little hands could do. It was cute.
Also, Whitmore elementary had it’s very own teacher bae and no lie, Kai was trying to hit.
Tucking the honey bun in his jacket pocket and opening his Funyuns, Kai takes the long way back to the music room. It was break time for the kiddies, they were all munching on healthy snacks before pick-up, which Kai always used as an opportunity to grab his own junk food. And to pass by Miss Bennett’s classroom.
Bonnie Bennett a.k.a. Kai’s personal hot teacher fantasy and reason number one Kai still volunteered at Augustine-Whitmore Elementary School. She taught third grade science and she had a smile like the sun and hips like a hula dancer and just seeing her made Kai’s day better. She was one of the science tutors for students who needed extra help before testing days, so she had her own room full of brats when he passed by her brightly decorated doorway.
Most of the kids are chatting and eating their apples and crackers, so Bonnie’s attention gets pulled to him when he pauses at her door and boom. There it is. The sun.
Kai grins back and waves her over and Bonnie casts a look around her classroom before coming to greet him. She wrinkles her nose at his chips.
“Funyuns, Kai?” she asks in disbelief. “The vending machine has hot Cheetos with lime and you went for Funyuns?”
“If I wanted to eat sawdust,” Kai replies. “I’d be a carpenter.”
Bonnie scoffs at his snappy comeback and Kai’s smile grows before he very deliberately fishes a big ring out of his bag and bites into it, crunching with a relish. Teacher bae’s face grows disgusted and she looks over her shoulder at her kids before looking back to him.
“Aren’t you supposed to be with Caroline and Nora in the music room, onion breath?”
“They can handle twenty kids on their own,” he states. He leans back on the doorframe. “Speaking of our mutual friend, Caroline, are you going to her party on Friday? It’s off campus, and I know you don’t have a ton of homework to grade on Fridays.”
Bonnie shuffles nervously. “I’m not really a party person. And it’s a college party -”
“A grad student party,” Kai corrects. “And you live with Caroline. You’d be pretty much the same age as everyone else in attendance Bonnie, it’s not like you’d be the odd one out. ‘Sides,” he crunches on the dregs of his chips. “I though Care-bear was one of your besties.”
The science teacher purses her lips at him. “She is. That’s not the point. I’m just...not big on parties.”
The volunteer tutor hides his disappointment by tipping the Funyun bag into his open mouth to catch crumbs. Bonnie sighs in disgust and Kai ends up smirking at her as he bundles up the empty bag and puts it in the trash.
“Tell you what, Ms. Hot-sawdust-with-lime,” his heart races when Bonnie shoves him half-heartedly. “If you decide to come out of your shell, I’ll be your party-buddy okay?”
He starts to walk away, backwards, so he can still see her face as he fake pouts. “You won’t let me down, right Bonster? Be my party-buddy?”
Teacher bae rolls her eyes and smiles. More sunshine for Kai.
“Fine. I’ll see you Friday.”
And just like that, Kai’s Wednesday afternoon was a lot brighter.
.o.0.0.o.
“Oh. My. God!” Caroline squeals. “It’s a date.”
“It’s not a date.”
“It sounds like a date,” Nora speaks up, glancing up from her phone long enough to smirk at Bonnie. The shorter girl scowls at her roommates for ganging up on her. They were all sitting around the living room in their PJs with their respective snacks and Caroline’s Netflix queue up since it was her turn to control the big T.V. The blonde was a huge Shondaland fangirl, so they were watching How to Get Away With Murder. It was paused when Caroline demanded for Bonnie to tell her why Kai was all smiles after his snack run and Bonnie looked helplessly at Viola Davis’s unimpressed face.
“Guys, it’s not a date. I was going anyway, Care invited me.”
“Yeah, so you could get laid! And Kai is practically front row of the class, waving his hand around, screaming ‘pick me, pick me, Miss Bennett’ and you’re still insisting it’s not a date.”
“Because it isn’t!”
Two pairs of cornflower colored eyes look at her in disbelief.
“He’s my friend. He’s your friend - you invited him too!”
“Oh my god,” Nora muttered at the same time Caroline sputters. “Bonnie, honey, Kai is our friend, but he’s not yours.”
“Yes, he is!”
“He looks at you like a shark smelling blood in the water!” Caroline bursts, having finished short-circuiting. Nora puts her phone down to nod in solidarity of the blonde.
“He wants to fuck you,” she says plainly and Caroline sweeps her hand at the pretty brunette.
“Thank you! And you need it after the Jeremy mess. Besides, I’ve heard around campus that Kai’s pretty good with the,” she makes a catcall whistle.
Bonnie buries her face in her hands and braces herself for a long night. She should have grabbed some wine to go with her lime hot Cheetos.
.o.0.0.o.
Bonnie blanches at the sight of club’s V.I.P. room. It was huge, and per usual for Caroline, who had no sense of limitations when it came to blow-outs, packed with people and free-flowing liquor. It was Caroline’s annual Bloody Valentine party, a sort of weird horror-themed anti-Valentine’s ball - it made no sense for Care to throw it considering her boo’d up status with Klaus Mikaelson, but “it’s tradition, Bonnie!”
The green-eyed beauty leans back against the wall carefully so her roommates wouldn’t yell at her about messing up the hairstyle they did for her. Sipping on her Love Potion drink and watching as writhing bodies got down to Nora’s No Scrubs remix, Bonnie can’t help the flare of disappointment she feels when she’s unable to spot Kai anywhere.
He had to have known she was around - Caroline had stepped up to the mic earlier to play host and introduce Nora as DJ Heartbreaker. So honestly, if the whole party was made aware of her roommates’ arrival half an hour ago, then surely Kai knew she was around.
You’re kidding yourself. He’s probably already drunk and with some girl. You heard Caroline, he has a repu-
“Hello, glad you could make it,” a familiar voice coos in her ear, startling her out of her thoughts. The smell of soap and fresh cologne hits her subtly. “I’ll be your designated extrovert for the evening, if you could please follow me.”
A warm hand wraps around hers and tugs her along to the dance floor and Bonnie inadvertently follows after Kai’s tall form before realization strikes her.
“Kai?” she questions. He glances over his shoulder at her.
“Yeah, party-buddy?”
“Did you just get here?”
“Yeah,” he turns around to face her and pulls her closer, taking her drink and downing the rest in one go. Bonnie is both grateful because she didn’t really like it and appalled because Kai can be so obnoxiously rude sometimes. “Did you miss me?”
The question strikes a nerve and she looks away. “Not really. I just thought you might’ve gotten drunk and forgot we were meeting up.”
“Ouch,” Kai chuckles and draws her in. They start to sway together and Kai’s intense gaze makes Bonnie licks her lips nervously. His stormy eyes narrow in on her mouth at the move and then darken. “I’d never forget about you, Bonster.”
Her heart constricts and she bows her head.
He wants to fuck you.
It’s not like these moments were rare between her and Kai. This...chemistry, this allure, had been there since the first time she’d met the volunteer music tutor two years ago. But back then, she’d been in a long-term relationship with Jeremy and just resisted the pull. She’d been engaged and living together with her fiance, trying to build a future with him - but then of course it fell apart when Jeremy’s ex somehow drifted back into his life and he cheated on Bonnie with her. It had hurt, the disintegration of a relationship she’d held so dear for a while, but after the initial messy dissolution and heartbreak - it didn’t even bother Bonnie like she thinks it should. She’d moved out of their apartment and in with her friends, had pulled herself together and worked her ass off to finish her teacher certification early and now she was employed full-time.
Last month, she saw Jeremy’s announcement on Facebook about Anna’s pregnancy and didn’t even feel an ounce of anger.
But Kai was different. Bonnie wasn’t a coward, but when it came to people and relationships, she wasn’t exactly forthcoming, introverted in the extreme. All of her friends were pretty much the old ones she’s had forever or the new ones who came to her. Kai was of the latter type, always popping up to tease or encourage or piss her off at any given moment, inside and outside of the halls of the elementary they gathered at weekly. His teasing words from earlier hold truth; he was her sort of designated extrovert.
This feeling like electricity, like she could get burned if she got too close, it was always there. And it scared the shit out of her, because if she let Kai happen and he turned out to be another Jeremy...
She wouldn’t be so nonchalant about that. Not if this barely there, unexplored feeling was an indicator.
Suddenly, she’s picked up and twirled around. A huff of laughter is shocked out of her and Kai’s mischievous eyes flash up at her. He lets her down gently, but his arm stays loosely hooked around her waist, his hand just thisclose to grazing her ass. It sends the intrusive thought of what his ringed fingers would feel like squeezing the globes and the spot between her legs clenches.
“There we are. How was your space trip? Did you see the rings of Saturn?”
“No, but I did have tea with a lovely Martian.”
“I’m jealous,” he laughs. He peers down at each other. “You want to get out of here? I mean, I love Caroline and all, but her parties are kind of O-T-T. I’ve got some tea at my place you might like. Some fancy rooibos my sister gave me for our birthday.”
Bonnie swallows and stares up at his face, looking for any signs of deception. She knows it’s not really about the tea. He knows she knows, but he’s willing to pretend if she changes her mind later. He’s giving her a potential escape route. Bonnie nods.
“Yeah, lets go. I’ll text Care later.” Kai grins at her answer and takes her hand again, leading her out of the club. Bonnie can only focus on how well his large hand fits around her small one and the stretch of his shoulders under his denim jacket as she follows him to his car.
.o.0.0.o.
It wasn’t a lie. He did have some fancy rooibos tea tucked away in one of his kitchen cabinets, saved for days when Kai was feeling nostalgic for his family back in Portland and so the box was fairly untouched. He’s sure Bonnie would have liked it, but the second he closes his front door, her hungry mouth was on his and Kai forgot his last name was Parker.
His hands migrate to Bonnie’s hips, gripping them through her lace and sheer dress. He’d wanted to rip the barely-there pink and black fabric off and fuck her like his name was Ron Jeremy the second he saw her, but with her lips pressed to his, right now all he wants is more. More of her body on his, more of her sunshine smiles, more of her disgust with Funyuns and gross preference for hot Cheetos with lime, more of her time. Just...more Bonnie filling the spaces in his world.
Greed was probably going to be his downfall.
Hands sliding from her hips to her ass, Kai grips under her thighs and then hauls her up his body. The petite woman’s legs go around his waist, her arms encircle his neck and suddenly all of Kai’s senses are filled by her. He pulls away from her slightly, breathing in her oddly sweet shampoo.
“Yeah?” he breathes, before his mouth clamps around her neck and sucks.
Bonnie’s answer is the sinful moan that leaves her mouth and the tightening of her limbs around his body. Her nails drag down his back, tugging his denim jacket down and Kai shrugs it off with her help. Their mouths reattach. He takes a few steps forward in the dark, towards the general direction of his bedroom, but forgets trying to navigate when Bon sucks his bottom lip between her teeth and his mouth is suddenly damp with the taste of iron.
His already hardened cock strains even more in his jeans and Kai just laughs, pushing her towards the couch because it’s closer and overstuffed and just as soft as his bed anyway. Bonnie’s hair is rucked, her malachite eyes are heavy-lidded and dark, and her lips swollen and painted red by the blood she lured from his mouth her sharp kiss. She sits up, watching hungrily as Kai shucks his shirt and undoes the front of his jeans, giving his dick some relief from the pressure. Her hands reach out for him, pulling him in as her crawls forward, reclining back into the cushions to give him the freedom to invade her space.
Their mouths meet again. Her dress zipper comes undone beneath his fingers. Kai follows the top’s descent down her body with his tongue, leaving cool trails on her skin. Bonnie had forgone a bra that night, so he latches onto a nipple, sucking as much of her breast into his mouth as can fit, gently rubbing the other into a peak before pinching it harshly - it make her gasp and her body arch into his like a bow, both of her hands burying themselves in his hair. He smiles around the breast in his mouth, glancing up at her with mirth dancing in his eyes. Bonnie swats at his head, but Kai only shoves up the hem of her dress so that the whole thing is belted around her hips, leaving her essentially bare. He presses against her briefly, grinding their groins together teasingly.
“Fuck,” Bonnie utters and Kai likes the way the curse sounds on her tongue.
The long-limbed brunette clasps the seat of her panties with his free hand, feeling the damp and twisting the thin, lacy crotch around his three of his fingers. There’s a threat of removal without actually taking them off, leaving Bonnie exposed to him and the cool air of the apartment. Kai can feel the way her core flutters against his hand, makes himself comfortable in the cradle of her hips as she adjusts herself to fit him there.
Meeting her gaze, Kai deliberately slides one then two fingers, slowly into her core, fingerfucking into her leisurely. Teasing. Bonnie whimpers and it sounds like his name. The small fingers in his hair clench.
Finally releasing the brown nipple in his mouth, Kai blows a breath on it, then laughs at Bonnie’s annoyed groan. The hand making a home of her sex picks up speed and then her irritated sighs melts into appreciative moans and her hands pull him back for another kiss. Thumb pressed to her clit, two then three fingers sliding in and out of Bonnie, Kai plays Bonnie’s body for a few minutes until she’s tensing up, wetting his hand her release and then he’s smiling against her lips, nose bumping hers as he eases off on fingering her slightly to not overstimulate.
“Good?” he breathes. Bonnie nods, eyes half-lidded and dazed.
“Mmm,” she hums, sliding her own hand under the band of his underwear. Kai’s dick is rock hard, the picture of an orgasming Bonnie Bennett, the single hottest thing he’s ever seen. Precum has left a damp spot on his boxers and his tip and Bon’s thumb grazes it, smearing it. Her other hand snakes around his back, squeezing his ass before tugging down the band of his his underwear and jeans.
“Off,” she demands simply and Kai nods obligingly, toeing off his shoes and socks and helping her discard his bottoms. He properly sheds her of her own clothes until at last they’re both bare and flush together and then finally, fucking finally, Kai is sliding inside her warmth, inside Bonnie. He does it again and again, so that they both enjoy it.
It feels good. It feels right. It feels like coming home.
.o.0.0.o.
It’s like maybe one in the morning and after the second time they have sex when the two of them finally get up and drag themselves to Kai’s bed. The next day is Saturday, so neither of them is worried about their respective classes. Kai turns on the T.V. puts on Buffy, but leaves it on a low enough volume so that he can hear Bonnie’s moans as he goes down on her. After her third shuddering orgasm via Kai’s hungry mouth, she pushes him away with a laugh.
“I’m going to die, stop,” she laughs.
“Oh no, not that,” he whispers in mock horror before kissing her again. The science teacher sighs contentedly against his mouth.
Kai smirks as he pulls away, wrapping around her, head on her belly and arms under her back, both of them settling on top of the sheets to cool down. Bonnie’s back is propped up slightly against the pillowed headboard, angling her to better see the T.V. while Kai acts as her human heater.
She gets oddly keyed up the longer they lie there. Kai’s somewhat drowsy, watching Buffy’s misadventures, but Bonnie is really fidgety. The man bites at his teacher bae’s hip half-heartedly.
“Stop wiggling.”
She goes still for a minute, but he can feel the energy building in her body under him. He wonders if she’ll explode if she can’t twitch. He frowns at the thought. He can’t keep her if her guts are splattered all over his wall. Not in the way he wants to at least.
Kai raises his head to look at her.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” She says it too quickly and Kai narrows his eyes at her.
“Bon,” he utters warningly. Don’t lie to me isn’t said, but she hears the implication and sighs.
“This doesn’t have to be awkward,” she tells him. Kai stares at her. She fidgets again and he grabs her hands, stilling her movement and waiting for her to look at him. Bonnie takes a breath and meets his eyes.
“Look, I mean we’re friends, right?” she asks. “I like being your friend. So this can be a one-time thing, you know? Some weekend fun and then we’re friends again. No big deal”
.o.0.0.o.
It’s not like Bonnie doesn’t trust Kai. She does. They are friends despite what Caroline and Nora think and wanting to fuck each other - having fucked each other - doesn’t change that. Bonnie doesn’t want it to change that. She likes having Kai in her life and she wants to keep him there, but his reputation as womanizer makes her weary and so instead of finding some way to progress she panics and tries to regress.
His face is inscrutable as he stares at her and Bonnie is painfully aware that not long ago that same handsome mug was buried between her thighs and making her scream his name. But it’s about as readable as a stonewall now and so she fidgets again.
His hands tighten on hers.
“So what, you want to be friends with benefits for the weekend, then on Monday, it’s business as usual?” his words are a little harsh, but he doesn’t sound mad. He doesn’t sound anything and it makes Bonnie nervous because she can’t read him when he shuts off like this, can’t tell if he’s actually upset with her or considering her words.
“If you’d like,” she says quietly. His stormy eyes flick over her face quickly and suddenly he stands up, naked body making her flush in remembrance and slight embarrassment before he’s out of the room. She hears banging in what she thinks is probably the kitchen and she wonders if she should leave. Kai has a mean streak, she’s seen it - maybe she pissed him off to the point of him wanting to look for a sharp kitchen knife. Suddenly she remembers that the CDC put out some statistics stating that one of the top killers of American women is intimate male partners and she blanches.
Before she can convince herself to run for the hills, Kai is back in the room and dropping something slightly weighted in her lap. It’s an orange and green family-sized chip bag with a cheetah mascot on the front. Bonnie looks up at Kai in amazement when he plops down on the bed with her.
“I have like, a whole shelf in my pantry just full those gross ass chips. I get a bag every time I’m at the store,” he explains.
Bonnie stares at him. “But...you hate hot Cheetos with lime.”
“I know right?” he scoffs. “They’re gross. But you love them.”
Something in Bonnie’s chest constricts and she stares at the naked man in front of her. She thinks she might cry. Or laugh. Something. There’s a lot of feeling building up in her chest so she needs to make sure.
“You buy these for me?”
“Yeah.”
“Why?” she asks softly. Kai smiles and grabs at her hand, entwining their fingers. They slot together well.
“I’m your designated extrovert right? I need my little introvert to have a function.”
.o.0.0.o.
Jo stares at him.
“You got together...over your chip preferences?”
“Yup.” Kai pops the ‘p’. His twin raises an eyebrow at him, a sudden mean gleam in her eye.
“So literally, you only have a girlfriend because you’re the only idiot on Earth who doesn’t like lime hot Cheetos.”
“They’re gross!”

Klaroline FanFiction Recs
(NOTE: Updated on 29/03/2018 - Just factual information)
Hello everyone, so I decided to share with you my Fanfiction recommendations. Now I’m a harsh judge, on my FanFiction.net account, I rarely favourite fics, but these fics have wormed their way in, I find them so well written, they got me hooked and they do something rare - they make me want to reread it, despite knowing what will happen.
So I’m going to share my recommendations, what they are about, the pairings (because some are a no go) and share why I love them, If you know the author of any of the fics on Tumblr feel free to let me now so they can get the recognition on Tumblr as well. I’m aiming to build on it to include those drabbles and one-shots that are exclusively on Tumblr.
Always Only You by MysticManhattan | FanFiction.net AU/AH. Caroline is in a horrible car accident and goes into a coma. When she wakes up she thinks it's 2009, every memory from then to present has vanished. Will she choose to go down the same path that she chose before, or will she choose an entirely different one? And most importantly, will she ever get her memories back? Everyone is human! Chapters: 19 Characters: Caroline Forbes, Klaus Mikaelson Ships: Klaroline Last updated: 20 April 2014 Complete
I just love this FanFiction that after I read it I did what I usually did and moved on, but months later while reading other fics, this popped in my head and I remembered particular bits and how much I loved it, so I had to try and remember what it was called, reread it and still loved it. You can feel the chemistry in their relationship and it has the balance of plot and romance - although leaning more towards romance. My only complaint is that the ending to me felt slightly rushed, not awful, I just found myself wanting more, I wanted a prequel, more flashbacks and more of them rediscovering each other.
I Still Love You by AnnaTom23  | FanFiction.net AU/AH. Caroline has the perfect life. Trouble ensues when she realizes her loving Nik is a wanted crime lord along with her best friend Stefan. She loves him with all her heart but she can't stay with him knowing he is causing people so much pain. She has to run, if not for her sake then for the little one growing inside her. Even if she does run, it's not long before he finds her. Warning: It is a Dark Fic. Chapters: 22 Characters: Caroline Forbes, Klaus Mikaelson, Stefan Salvatore, Kol Mikaelson Ships: Klaroline Last updated: 17 November 2015 Complete
Now, I must stress I’m not big on Dark fics, especially in this case when it’s an AU/AH, this is simply because there is no supernatural element and I know the safe thing is for them to not be together and AnnaTom23 is a notorious fan of Dark Fics, however this is one of the more tamer ones. I knew that I should walk away but I couldn’t their was something intoxicating about there story and I reread it recently. This kind of fic reminded me of all those couples from those classic soaps like Dallas and Gossip Girl, that are well loved that have those unhealthy dynamic. It’s not abusive, but definitely shows possessiveness, there are some cute moments as well. But this fic also suffers from a rushed ending, I won’t spoil it but something big happens and then it kind of has an Epilogue, I would of liked more of an aftermath, are the Mikaelsons still in the same lifestyle etc.
Hot (Sauce) by honestgrins | FanFiction.net Caroline Forbes had been a kick-ass surgical resident with a gorgeous fiancé when she accepted an invitation to a boat party on the Gulf. The night ended in terror as the guests started attacking each other. When she woke on the beach the next morning, the relief she felt at surviving the ordeal was quickly replaced by an intense hunger for brains. An iZombie-KC fusion fic. Chapters: 4 Characters: Caroline Forbes, Klaus Mikaelson, Katherine Pierce, Kol Mikaelson Ships: Klaroline Last Updated: 14 January 2016 Complete
This is the my favourite fusion based on a show, especially when a Sci-Fi/Fantasy element is added, it loosely follows iZombie, I mean you can tell how each TVD character is in relation to the iZombie characters but they quickly go off on their own. Maybe I’m greedy, but again I wanted more. I’m aware that this was likely never intended to be anything long term but I wanted to see more of Caroline dealing with being a Zombie as well as the other characters, or even more of what they did after the fic ended. However I love their interpretation and spin on iZombie. So if you want something short but not a drabble then this is great.
The Madness Underneath by marvelouskatie | FanFiction.net Caroline is a psych student working as a sober companion in Chicago, hired by Elijah Mikaelson to assist his brother, Klaus, who is fresh out of rehab. For the next six weeks, she'll be with him 24/7 helping him to maintain a sober life. Caroline will soon discover Klaus is no ordinary client. AH/AU, based off Elementary/Sherlock Holmes. Do not have to be a fan of Holmes to read! Chapters: 32 Characters: Caroline Forbes, Klaus Mikaelson Ships: Klaroline Last Updated: 22 April 2016 Complete
I won’t say much about this one and it is not an insult to the author, it’s because I believe that it’s a popular one with readers or many are familiar with it, but what I love about this is that it creates the right balance of romance and plot, it not overpowering that it’s just full one smut, although I’m guilty of liking that but the plot isn’t too much that the relationship is no existence. There is development, also wouldn’t a continuation of that little sequel you wrote. But again, this just worked for me.
Heroes Never Die by Angelikah | thetourguidebarbie  | FanFiction.net Doctor Caroline Forbes devoted her life to protecting the innocent, but fell in love with the darkest parts of a man who was anything but. After a terrible accident, her only chance to save him was to take a risk with an experimental healing treatment, which went horribly wrong. All she can do now is look back on what they'd had and hope that someday he'd forgive her. Based off Overwatch. Chapters: 2 Characters: Caroline Forbes, Klaus Mikaelson, Stefan Salvatore, Bonnie Bennett Ships: Klaroline Last Updated: 11 January 2017 Complete
I’ve never read Fanfics based on games, even when it has my OTP in their place, however I gave it a go because it’s Overwatch. Now I’m not going to go all fake gamer girl and claim that I’m a fan of it. My knowledge is based on watching people playing on Twitch, but I’m familiar with some of the voice actors from Overwatch (some of my fellow Hoomans). This game is on my to-do list. However, you do not need prior knowledge of the game to be able to read this, and god it is so good. I just love the reversal of roles because often Klaus would be made as the character that would go to the ends of the earth to save Caroline, so it’s nice to see it be Caroline and Caroline doesn’t come off as weak or some anti-feminist rubbish about how she can’t live without a man, this is a woman in love with a guy. This is a perfect two-shot, and I wouldn’t mind more, however I’m perfectly content with this. It is also a good example of a dystopian future fic that doesn’t lose it way and the world doesn’t suddenly get fixed or healed.
Picturesque by lil7miss7sarcastic | Fanfiction.net She doesn't talk to Klaus about feelings. Ever. Or at least when she's sober. Sure, there are times when their friends pass out and the two of them lie on the rooftop, looking at the stars, and talk. But some form of intoxication is always involved. AU/AH Klaroline (with slight Steroline) and the gang as Friends in New York City. Chapters: 7 Characters: Caroline Forbes, Klaus Mikaelson, Stefan Salvatore Ships: Klaroline Last Updated: 17 February 2018 Complete
This fanfic is kind of a HIMYM/Friends hybrid and it’s so good. None of these characters are actually directly based on the originals from the shows, it’s still the Klaroline you love. Now, when the author says slight SC, they mean it, they don’t date and they aren’t in a relationship at all. But this is great and I love the Klaroline dynamic and they finally finished this fic, two years later. My new complaint, which I shared with them, was that the ending does feel rushed, maybe it’s because I experienced the hiatus itself, but I feel like you can tell between Chapters 6 and 7, there is kind of a different tone to the last chapter than the rest. But I do understand writers block as well as losing the passion to writer for a ship or another passion overtakes the old one. But this is still a very enjoyable fic. It’s good for those who want to read something that’s long and a continuation as opposed to a one-shot, but also it’s not too long that you are spending time away from interacting with actual people face to face reading it.
I Have a Bad Case of Loving You by LitLover 101 | queenofthedramedies | FanFiction.net These would be the greatest years of her life. After seven years Hayley Marshall would officially be a doctor. Unfortunately, until then she had to deal with the rigors of her internship and residency with a colorful group of fellow interns and a one night stand who turns out to be her boss. What could wrong? Chapters: 24 Characters: Hayley Marshall, Elijah Mikaelson, Klaus Mikaelson, Rebekah Mikaelson, Caroline Forbes, Tyler Lockwood, Joshua Rosza, Bonnie Bennett, Freya Mikaelson Ships: Halijah, Klaroline (planning a reread, more to be added) Last Updated: 15 April 2017 Complete
Okay, bare with me folks! I know some might not be a big fan of Klaroline not being the main ship in a fic or are not a big fan of Hayley or Halijah, but this Grey’s Anatomy style fic is a current favourite of mine. For starters, Hayley is likable in this and not in the way where TO sometimes comes off as trying too hard to do that or  is OP. She even has some of Meredith Grey’s qualities in the fic, but for me I love the Cayley friendship, it’s a crackship of mine. But this is a rare fic for me where they have characters from TO and TVD but none of them (so far have been portrayed negatively, or biased negative), even characters that you don’t like appear but you don’t care because they are either made likable or only appear briefly in the background, a 2D character. But the Klaroline relationship is written so well, it doesn’t suffer because the primary ship is Halijah. It is like Grey’s in which Hayley is the lead but the ensemble cast do have their own storylines. My only complaint with this - which I shared with the author was about how the storylines of the other characters has missing gaps in because the story is written from Hayley’s POV so one sec you have two characters arguing, a chapter later they made up off screen. So it jumps with the secondary characters storylines, but she has made it up to us with a tie-in fic that is currently in production/progress.
Somewhere Only We Know by LitLover 101 | queenofthedramedies | FanFiction.net Tie-in stories to I Have a Bad Case of Loving You: follow the lives, loves, losses and triumphs of the interns, residents and attendees at New Orleans Grace Hospital. Chapters: 3  Characters: Rebekah Mikaelson, Tyler Lockwood, Joshua Rosza, Jackson Kenner, Caroline Forbes, Klaus Mikaelson, Kol Mikaelson Ships: Klaroline, TBA (A lot is being kept as a surprise, I think) Last Updated: 24 June 2017 Ongoing
This is the tie-in that I mentioned in the comment of the previous fic. This is only one chapter in but this delves into the secondary characters and fills in those blanks and gaps that don’t completely make sense in the original fic or left you wanting an explanation. I won’t hype it up because we haven’t been giving enough yet but it is promising. One thing that the author is good at is making us care about these secondary characters, like Tyler is a bit of a fuckboy, not a negative portrayal but I still like him, he’s harmless. My hope is once it’s completed that someone (probably me) will re-edit the fic (for personal rereading purposes) so it can include the scenes from this fic in where they take place in the original one. This is being written co-currently with the sequel to the original fic. Again, I want to express my gratitude to the author for taking their time to write this tie-in because it probably wasn’t their intention and they are upping their workload just for us measly fans.
Rumor Has It by LitLover101 | queenofthedramedies | FanFiction.net Continuation of I Have a Bad Case of Loving You: Tales of failed boards, broken hearts, healing wounds, love, loss, friendship, family and resilience bring us back to the New Orleans Hospital. Oh, and, don't forget the new crop of interns. Things are about to heat up in this hospital. Chapters: 7 Characters: Hayley Marshall, Elijah Mikaelson, Klaus Mikaelson, Davina Claire, Caroline Forbes, Rebekah Mikaelson, Tyler Lockwood, Joshua Rosza, Bonnie Bennett, Freya Mikaelson, Aurora De Martel, Lucian Castle, Freya Mikaelson, Kol Mikaelson Ships: Halijah, Klaroline (more to be added as revealed, I believe some are kept as a surprise) Last Updated: 31 January 2018 Ongoing
I won’t go into much because it is just chapter 1 but it is the sequel and I’m already loving it, it provides answers to the cliffhanger left at the end of the original fic - think of it as the cliffhanger to season 1 and this is season two. But this provides so many more questions, thanks to a 6 month time jump from the last fic to now. Now don’t quote me on this but if you’re worried that the secondary character and ships to Halijah might not get screentime or we will suffer from gaps due to it being from Hayley’s POV don’t worry, I think the author said that it will delve in a bit from other characters POVs and their storylines but Hayley and Halijah will still be the focus. Hayley is the Meredith of this TVD/TO Grey’s story.
Those are my current favourites, thanks for taking your time to read them. Sorry I might of gone overboard.
