(For some context rq; me and my girlfriend HC Quirrel as Asian/Japanese and a samurai) Right so I showed my girlfriend a few pictures of Quirrel Ma, and she made a few connections to Japanese culture and how it was (maybe still is? I'm unsure) a dishonour to surrender and she decided to RIP MY HEART OUT with the idea of Quirrel Ma being infected, and Quirrel being forced to "surrender" (leave her, let her go) and then spending the rest of his life trying to atone for his dishonour, which ends with him preforming harakiri (A Japanese form of sacrifice, where a samurai will cut their stomach open to die with honour and restore honour for themselves and their family) as a way to atone his sins Argshdhgs I'm literally going insane over this

I think it might depend on A) whether this becomes A Famous Lament™️ or if it was a more private expression of grief, and B) how much detail Faramir wants to know about his brother's death. My impression would be that he would want to know as much as the Hunters were willing to tell, and that if it makes it to the Red Book, it's not something very private. So I would say... yes? Probably from one or all the Hunters. The question is whether he's heard it from minstrels too. That I don't know.

Actually this is a very tentative answer and now you've sent me on a rabbit hole trying to wonder what kind of song culture exists in Gondor. If anyone has relevant headcanons please share, I'm curious now!

Got our third project of the semester done, 3-D Design again (and much safer to post)

There's really no great way to take a picture of it? Kinda like the last one, though that's also kind of a design issue on my behalf. The assignment was to "create a structure out of cubic modules," as prof put it in the syllabus. I preferred to think of it as building our own lincoln logs and making something cool with them using super glue

We could have made it as abstract as we wanted to, but I don't like conceptualizing abstract work, so I took a more literal approach and built a tree with cubes as the fruit :D (her name is sherry)

...we were told to only spray it with a clear coat to seal it up, but I might also stain it when this is all done and graded 👀👀
