WE’RE BACK | 02/19/2017

YAAAYYY, this lil sprout is back ya’ll! After living off of caffeine in order to survive hell week after hell week, and basically living like an owl trying to reach deadlines, I am back with a new blog post! :D Here are a few things that I’ve been loving recently, and would just like to share it for you all hehe

+ BTS - YOU NEVER WALK ALONE

Okay, so goddamn. MY BABIES HAVE DONE IT AGAIN. Constantly serving masterpieces, they’ve once again returned with a new repackaged album and music video! The music video is soooo aesthetically pleasing, like can we talk about all that color correcting and cinematography tho?? AND THE CONCEPT, it’s so much more lighter than the Blood, Sweat, and Tears era, but they fit it so well. The boys all seem so much more mature. The four new songs are also great. Spring Day gives a light and poetic kind of vibe, whilst A Supplementary Story gives that fresh and young vibe. This comeback, overall, reminds of happy memories. The music video give me that indie rom-com vibe, and the songs just make you reminisce of all the good times while inspiring and empowering you.

+ NCT 127 - LIMITLESS

So I’m gonna be hyping up another kpop group, I’m sorry and please bear with me. Hehehe. So lately, I’ve been showing a large interest to all the NCT groups. All their songs are just so well produced and I just live for all their concepts. Lots of people may not agree with me when I say I loved the Limitless music video. The music video showed a 90′s to 00′s hiphop theme which could clearly be seen in the cinematography and their outfits.Their outfits is also another reason why I loved this comeback. The boys embodied Vetements x Champion in their concept and I honestly believe it looks good. Although, the boys kinda looked like coke and pepsi bottles in the mv hehehe it’s okay, they’re cute nevertheless.

This movie was introduced to me when two of my friends, Bianca and Bea, suggested it. And since I, for some unknown reason, trust them, I decided to give it a shot. All I can say is: I love this movie. Okay, so being straightforward, this movie gave a new level for indie movies. It was very straightforward in terms of its plot and dialogue. Though the ‘plot twist’ was not as big as my friends hyped it to be, but the dialogues were great. I thought that the dialogues were so real, and they were so far from the cliches. It also did not give you any plot holes, or any unnecessary details. Another thing I appreciated about this movie was its soundtrack. This movie really allowed me to love the OPM industry. LITERALLY, JUST EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MOVIE FIT SO PERFECTLY WITH EACH OTHER AND I LOVE IT.

+ FACE MASKS

Lastly, YAAAYY my favorite things in the world, face masks. I was able to try the LUSH Cup O’ Coffee because one of my friends gave it as a christmas gift. Its initial purpose is just as an exfoliator but I find that when I use it, it lessens my bumps as well. When I use this mask, it also leaves a very strong aroma of coffee and it leaves your skin really smooth! It is also much more gentle than LUSH’s other exfoliator which is the Ocean Salt.

After ages of wanting to cop out a Glossier product, I was finally able to get my dad to buy me their face mask and their serums during one of his trips to the US. This masks is actually quite comparable to the LUSH Mask of Magnaminty but I find that I prefer this one better. The consistency of the mask is so smooth, it’s kinda like buttercream frosting or yogurt! It also has a mild scent which smells like green vegetables hehe. I actually find that this mask slightly stings when I use it, but also it lightens my scarring and leaves my skin smooth after I wash it off.
