Author’s Note: Doesn’t follow canon, it has a little of buck begins in there but it doesn't follow a strict timeline. It also is written like Buck moves to LA and has his apartment from the moment he moves there while trying to figure out what he wants to do.

Texting and calling was never your choice method of communication. 

Letters had always been more of your thing. 

Truthfully, they hadn't been your thing until your boyfriend moved halfway across the country for university. The two of you met in high school, freshman year and became inseparable since. Growing together and promising to always love each other no matter what -you always knew that couldn't be true but it never stopped you from telling him. 

When he told you that he was going to be applying to UCLA during your senior year of high school, it came as a bit of a shock to you. The plan was always going to college together, get engaged when you were done school and then married with a house by 30. 

You held out the hope of that being possible until the day he showed you his acceptance letter. 

You were incredibly proud of him but it was real now, he was leaving. 

You watched him pack up his entire life and uproot himself from New York and moved across the country. You sent the first letter to him at what was supposed to be his apartment. 

September 30th.

‘Hi baby! 

Just writing to see how you're settling in. How’s UCLA ? Have you gotten a chance to go around and get to see the place ? I know you’re there for school but you've got to live a little too. Hope your neighbours are sweet, your mom told me it’s a pretty nice place and it’s got a good view, sounds like your type of place. Hopefully I can come visit you soon. 

I started my classes last week. My chem professor is a pain in my ass already, he expects us to read an entire textbook in a week - well not exactly an entire textbook but you get the point. My biology professor is a sweetheart, she showed us pictures of her kids and talked about them for an hour, I didn't realize being a mother was so interesting but she was cool. Also showed us a video of an appendectomy that one of her colleagues performed last week. How are your classes and professors ? 

Did I mention I bumped into Sam at the grocery store ? Yeah, he’s back and he’s not fine to tell you the truth. He seemed like he was ready to snap but that might just be my judgment. He said to tell you hello if I spoke to you so- hello :) 

I’m going to sign off here, I know this one is short but I don’t have much to update you on. Life’s been pretty dull without you. Hope you’re having fun out there, soaking up the sun for me.

You mailed the letter the next day, a few weeks had passed before you received a letter back. Except this letter had a different sender name but the same address.

October 22nd. 

‘Hi y/n,

This isn't your boyfriend. (I'm assuming that’s who you're writing too based on the context of the letter) I’m Evan, I live in the apartment you thought belonged to your boyfriend or maybe you got the address wrong, I’m not sure.  I know you were waiting for an update on all these exciting things that are happening at UCLA. I do not go to UCLA nor can I update you in anything exciting that’s happening there, sorry.

Anyways, the reason I'm writing you back is because I figured you’d want to know that this isn't the correct address and the person you were looking for isn't here before you send another letter and get no response. I was debating if I should have even written you back, but here I am, writing you back. 

Your professor for chem seems like an ass to be honest (hope that’s not rude) and your biology professor sounds great, is she hot by the way ? because bonus points for that. Anyways, are you studying medicine ? I'm guessing yes because of the classes you're taking. I'm thinking of signing up to become a first responder but I haven’t decided yet on what yet or if I'm actually going to do it. Anyways, good luck on your classes and the shitty chem professor.

To say you were shocked would be an understatement. How could the letter you sent to your boyfriend’s apartment belong to someone else ? Why was there someone else living in his apartment ? You dug through your apartment, searching for the paper he left you with the address, you finally found it buried in a drawer.

The address on the paper was identical to the one that Evan sent to you and to the one you sent prior to that. Either your boyfriend was lying or you were losing your mind. 

November 4th. 

‘Dear Evan, 

I'm sorry that I sent the first letter to you and as you guessed, I was looking for my boyfriend who seems to be a bit MIA right now. His mother says that’s the right address and the place that she helped him move into. So I'm not really sure what’s happening there. Anyways, sorry for unloading all of that on you. 

To answer your question, yes, I am studying medicine and no, she isn't hot. My bio professor is a 65 year old woman who loves her college aged kids very much. If that’s your definition of hot, then yes - she's got milf status

Have you decided yet if you’re going to sign up to be a first responder ? That’d be pretty cool. Imagine all the girls swoon over you and how many girls you’d pick up just for being a paramedic or a firefighter.

Buck laughed at your absurd question. A person he didn’t even know was asking what size shirt he wore. The letter was set on the coffee table with the rest of the mail, getting buried under all of the stuff he had on there. It was almost the end of December when he realized that he hadn't written you back yet. 

December 21st. 

‘Hey y/n, 

Sorry I've taken so long to get back to you. Things have been hectic over here. I’ve been doing some ‘soul-searching’ - I guess you could call it that and honestly, I don’t think if this whole first responders thing is for me. 

I tried out bartending or well, the technical term is mixologist and I’m liking it so far, I think i’m going to stick with it for now. 

How have you been ? How’s school ? Surely, you’re on break for the holidays right about now or at least when you get this letter. I hope that you're spending the break doing something fun. 

I’m not going to make this very long, I’m sure you’ve been busy with whatever you’re doing right now. 

Also, I’ve been meaning to ask. Have you located the mysteriously disappearing boyfriend yet ? I haven't seen anyone that fit your description. 

well, that’s not true- I did and just to be sure I asked to see his collarbone, he looked at me like I was a mad man so I guess it wasn't him ?

January 13th. 

The morning of the 13th, he went down to check his mail. A box was there with his name on it, the return address was one he had only seen on an envelope. The box returned upstairs with him, setting it on the counter before opening it. 

Upon opening it, there was a letter and some colourful tissue paper with what seemed like a sweater under it. He opened the letter first.

‘Dear Evan, 

Happy New Years! How was your holiday going ? Did you do anything fun ? 

I’ve been good and school is good too, I'm almost done my first year, isn't that crazy ? Just a few more months to go. 

How’s your job as mr. mixologist going ? I'm sure you’ve met some wild people and heard some interesting stories. 

As for the boyfriend situation, that's over. I’m not surprised to tell you the truth but it still kinda sucks. Anyways, so what happened was that his older brother had come home from college last year and brought a friend with him. She went to the same school as his brother but transferred to UCLA- anyways long story short, they hooked up while he and I were still together and he moved in with her after his mom helped him move into the apartment I thought he had. 

But! I’m single and chilling now so it’s all good. (bonus, she cheated on him and left him so yeah) 

I got you a little something for Christmas and as a “sorry for unloading all my boyfriend drama on you” present. I was in the gift shop and it made me think of you. Do you celebrate Christmas? I forgot to check oops. If you don't, count it as a just a “sorry for unloading all my boyfriend drama on you” present?

He unwrapped the tissue paper to see a blue sweater with the letters NYU on it. He smiled, he assumed that’s where you went. It was sweet that you took the time to get him something, even if it was a by the way thing. Not a lot of people would send something to a person they had been talking to via letters and halfway across the country. 

February 12th. 

2 days before Valentine's Day, your least favourite holiday of the year. You weren't looking forward to watching all your friends going on with their boyfriends and girlfriends. The mail had arrived while you were out, you picked it up and headed in. There were two envelopes with your name on it,  a plain white one and a red one. The red envelope was more squared than rectangular, you assumed it was a card- both had the same sender name. 

‘Hey y/n!

Thank you for the sweater, it was nice of you to think of me and get me something. I didn’t know we were doing gifts or I would have sent you something as well and yes, I do celebrate Christmas. 

My job as ‘mr. mixologist’ was going well until I quit. It just didn’t feel like the right fit for me you know ? I'm going to see what else is out there for me. 

Sorry to hear about your boyfriend, he seems like a douche. Who would cheat on you ? You seem great I mean at least you are on paper (did you get my joke, it’s hard to tell) 

Also, remember how I was thinking I might actually give that first responder thing a try? Imagine me as a firefighter, that’s pretty cool right ? 

So I kinda did a thing and signed up and then I got in. I started two weeks ago and it was kicking my ass at first but I've gotten a hang of it and things are going pretty well. There's three other Evans in my class so everyone calls me Buck-I kind of like it. 

The other envelope, hopefully you opened this one first, is a little something for you for valentines. Hope you like it.

The red envelope was on your lap, you pulled the edges carefully not wanting to rip it. Inside was a plain white card with bright red letters that made you laugh. The cover read ‘I’m not sick of you yet!” Opening the card, a $20 fell onto your lap. There was a little message inside that went along with the cash. 

‘Since we aren't together and can’t spend valentines together, there’s some cash to get yourself a box of chocolates and a teddy bear. Happy Valentines Day y/n

Love, Buck.’ 

You smile, this was the first time that Buck had signed with ‘love, buck’ it had always been ‘peace out, buck.’ You tucked the card into the drawer, one you didn’t use very often so you knew it’d be safe there. 

*4 years later*

A few weeks had passed since Buck had last heard from y/n. His last letter to her was at the end of June, telling her all about the day he had spent at Hen and Karen’s. He always described every little detail so vividly that it made her feel like she was there with him- but it was now July, end of actually and moving into August. 

4 years had blown like nothing.

It felt like just yesterday he got the first letter in the mail. 4 years and they still had no idea what each other looked like but they knew every intricate and intimate detail about each other, their lives and the people in it. 

Y/n and Buck had grown rather close over the last few months- more than they already were. Y/n just went through a pretty shitty break up and Buck wasn't exactly big on relationships as of right now. 

He had just gotten home from work, his keys set on the counter when he realized that he forgot to check his mail. Stepping back out, there was a woman in the hallway and boxes scattered across her, leading into the apartment down the hall. 

She must be his new neighbour.

He wanted to go over and introduce himself but she was busy telling the movers where to set her couch so he decided that he would check the mail and then introduce himself when he returned so he did just that. 

Except, she was still busy. 

She leaned against the wall, watching the movers move what looked like a coffee table. She glanced up to see Buck walking by, she smiled and he returned the smile. 

Buck reaches his apartment, the mail in hand and steps in. He sorts through the pile, bills, ads, coupons and no letter from y/n.

Your new apartment was a mess. You decided it was time for a change. You applied to a few hospitals after your break up and the one in LA hired you. So you dropped everything and moved- no family, no ties. 

A fresh start. 

It was a nice neighbourhood and the building was quiet. The neighbours you met were pleasant and welcoming. When you were having the furniture moved in, there was a blonde man who smiled at you and you assumed he lived in the unit down the hall because that’s where he stepped into. 

It was almost 11pm when you finally sat down. You had been on your feet all day and just wanted to eat something. The box with the dishes was beside the couch, you pulled the tape off and opened it. There was an envelope sitting on top of the stack of plates. 

Buck’s last letter to you. 

You must have tossed it into the boxes while packing and you forgot to write him back. Tumbling through the boxes, you find a sheet of paper and a pen from your bag. Sitting on the floor, the paper resting on an unopened box, you begin writing. 

‘Dear Buck, 

I’m sorry I've taken so long to get back to you. I quit my job, and uprooted my entire life. The break up sucked major ass as you know, so I decided it was time for a change. 

Guess where I decided to go ? 

Did you guess yet? 

No, not Canada, why would you guess Canada ? 

LA! 

Yeah, isn't that crazy that I ended up here of all places? Maybe we could get together one day (if you haven’t turned into a crazy serial killer that is.) 

Anyways, that’s why I've taken so long to write. I was packing when I got your letter and I tossed it in a box and just found it again. Anyways, I hope you’ve been good, how have things been at the station ? 

I promise I'll write again with more details soon, I just have to get settled in first.

Folding the paper, you slipped into an envelope. The address being scribbled into the back of the envelope. You were about to seal it when the building number caught your eye. 

It was the same number as the place you moved into. The same address, the building number, the same floor. 

The unit number was the only difference. 

There was no way you moved into the building that Buck lived in. 

You knew the address felt familiar when you saw the listing but you didn’t think anything of it nor did it occur to you that you knew the address. 

Stepping out of your apartment, looking at the number on the room and back down at the envelope in your hand. Buck’s apartment was down the hall. 

Part of you just wanted to mail it and keep things as it was but another part of you wanted to meet him, to see what he was really like in person. So there you were walking down the hallway at a quarter past 11 in the dead of the night to meet a man you had been sending letters to for the last 4 years. 

The end of the hallway, you stared at the black wooden door in front of you. Your brain weighing the options right now: he’s a sweetheart and welcoming and makes you feel comfortable or he’s a weird guy who’s been lying to you this whole time and you told him everything about you and now he’s going to kill you. 

Before you could register what you were doing, you knocked on the door. 

Glancing down at yourself, you were wearing a pair of old shorts and a t-shirt from high school that you found in a drawer while packing. Not an ideal outfit, maybe he’s sleeping and you can go home and change- the door opened, a man wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt stood there. He looked like he had just woken up. 

“Sorry, did I wake you?” 

“It's alright,” he yawned, his hand covering his mouth as he blinked away a few tears. “What can I do for you ?” he leaned against the door. 

“Um, this is an odd question-” you shifted, glancing down at the envelope in your hand. “Are you Buck ?” 

“I am, who are you ?” 

“Y/n.” 

You had never seen a man wake up that fast, he seemed surprised, confused and concerned all in one. “How- uh, are you- What ?” he mumbled. 

“I found your letter in the box after I moved, I moved into the apartment down the hall” you point to your left, Buck sticks his head out of the doorway and looks at the door you were pointing to. You were the woman in the hallway that he saw earlier, he knew you looked familiar. 

“I just wrote your letter and I noticed that the addresses were the same, just a different unit number so I decided to come check. Sorry if I bothered you, we can talk another day- it’s late and you probably have work” “Would you like to come in?” he opens the door a bit more, looking to you for an answer. 

“Um, okay sure.” stepping in, you can’t help but glance around. The apartment was similar to yours, the layout was a bit different though. “Can I get you something to drink ? Coffee, water ? A beer ?” he rounded the kitchen counter, you took a seat on one of the chairs by the counter. 

“Water’s fine, thanks” 

He reached for a bottle from the fridge, sliding it over to you. You gave him a smile, he leaned against the counter and was now looking- studying you. 

“I know we’ve talked to each other for 4 years but this is kinda strange” you chuckled awkwardly, Buck can't help but smile. 

“Yeah, it is, isn't it? but can I ask why you moved to LA?” 

“Well all of that was in the letter” you slide the envelope across the counter and he picks it up, opening it. Giving him a few moments to read, you watch his expression like you were hoping for some insight as to how he was feeling or what he was thinking. He let out a laugh, “how’d you know I'd guess Canada ?” you smiled at him, a small wave of relief washing over you for some reason. “Lucky guess I suppose” 

“Do you-” “What are-” the sentences cutting each other off, the two of you awkwardly smiling at each other. “You first” looking at him, he hums. 

“Do you have work tomorrow or are you busy ?” His eyes meet yours, you found yourself leaning forwards towards the counter- towards him. He made you feel comfortable, you’d go as far as to say safe, in a way you’ve never felt before. 

“No, I don't start until the 21st. Why ?” 

“I was thinking - if you're not busy and if you want to, of course. Maybe I could take you out for breakfast and I could show you around ? Or lunch or dinner ? Whatever works for you actually” he rambles, fiddling with his fingers to avoid eye contact. 

A small laugh slips past your lips causing him to look up, his brows furrowed as he studies your face, looking for an answer. 

“Breakfast sounds good, what time should I be ready for ?” 

“Uh, is 10 okay ?” he asks, you nod. “I’ll be ready for 10 then.” 

“Okay, I'll pick you up” he smiles. 

“Buck, we live in the same building.” 

“Oh right,” he chuckles, “well I'll be by yours at 10 then” the two of you smiling at each other. 

“Okay.”

BNHA Headcanons once more

Villain Izy is amazing, delicious food to me. Love the complexity and the way I can make him utterly twisted in a severe way. However, I know it’s plausible for Bak to be the root of his hate... but I may have something else be the main source and leave him as collateral damage. Shouldn’t he hate the society he lives in? Wouldn’t he go bigger, broader? Forget Bak and his childish behavior. Where did he learn all of that from? What was the root of the discrimination? The societal set standard for acceptability? Yeah, sure, Bak was an asshole and out of line— but oh please, if you think Izy wouldn’t logically think bigger in his revenge. The discrimination comes from the messed up society and you better believe he is coming for it. It’s crooked out look on people’s worth based upon whether they posses a quirk or not. It’s idiotic, horrific. Personally, if I happened to be in their universe? I’d be a villain. No hero, no hero loving civilian or a vigilante. Hell no, I’d be a villain and fighting the system.

I personally like black Mina, blasain Deku, Latino Sero, Samoan Kirishima and people also have mentioned Latino/light skinned Bakugo which I don’t mind or see the fault in either

For Shigarakis birthday, everyone got together and made him hand shaped soaps. He opened the box, peered inside to see a bunch of different colored hand shaped soaps and glared at them all. Of course Shig uses them, but the thought was annoying yet thoughtful.

Personally I have many ships and groups I am behind. With that said, they have been given names (only a few so far since I’m focusing on the ones I have been/will be posting about the most). They range from friendship to actual ship which will be noted as ‘f’ and ‘s’..... Wonder Trio©️ (Bak, Kiri and Mina ~ f). Core Three©️ (Izy, Bak and Todd ~ either or). Fatal Four©️ ( todokiribakudeku ~ s). Forsaken©️ (Vil!Izuku, Dabi, Shigs ~ f).

Let’s get some normal teenage HCs going..... Kirishima, Bakugo, Izy and Ochaco have stretch marks... Kirishima has them from his quirk— it’s sudden development of unbreakable, Izuku from his intense fast growth for the quirk, and Bakugo as well..... For her quirk, Momo would need to store more energy which means she would be chubbier and that’s closer to canon in the manga (Ochaco is also not super thin like they showed in the manga).

Todoroki doesn’t wake up until the afternoon on some days, same can be said for half the others.

Kaminari moans in the back of class

Sero doesn’t talk much, he is more laid back. So I believe he’d walk behind the Bakusquad or in the grass.

When the Bakusquad goes out, Bakugo hangs towards the front. He says it’s because he doesn’t want to be near them, but in reality he wants to keep a lookout for any danger and protect them all first. It also is because of the LOV incident.

Kirishima notices that, how he is constantly looking around and staring after certain lingering figures until they check out as unthreatening. Kirishima would be the one to look out for Bakugo, as a second pair of eyes with everyone else in on it.

Also along these lines^ Bakugo likes the people he is with to be in his range of site. Same reasonings as above. Whenever they are in stores, he keeps them in his peripheral and scans for exits and entrances. Whenever someone leaves his site for a moment, he snaps at them and brings whoever wandered away back to the group. Everyone soon adapted to his constant need to check everyones position and started telling him wherever they intended to go. Mina: Hey, Im going to the shoes section. | Sero: I’m going with Kaminari to the games

Bakugo doesn’t like people behind him.. once again, same as above^ so I believe Kirishima would ease Bakugo’s nerves by touching his back as he leaves his peripheral and passes through his blind spots to ensure Bakugo is always aware of his position.

Denki is Mitsuki’s favorite. It just makes sense. He is the type to walk in and go “You have such a lovely home”, “You’re 35? Shut up, you don’t look a day over 22” “Bakugo listen to your mother”, “Let me help with the groceries”. Tell me I’m wrong. You can’t. Ugh. Also I semi ship adult Denki with Mitsuki, as well as hc him to have been crushing HARD in his teen years.

Bakugo was a leash kid

Bakugo once owned a pet fish as a kid..... never again. Never. Again.

Denki got extra time during tests because he couldn’t focus

Bakugo, Izy, Aizawa and all the class girls would liberate Eri and teach her to never take shit from men or the hero society. That she is more than a gossip topic or someone to objectify. They would create a powerful hero that knows her worth and wouldn’t take shit from anyone.

Eri makes friendships bracelets with beads for Bakugo and Izy. The three of them match. Izy wears it whenever he can along with Eri and Bakugo has it hung up on his cork board.

Eri likes to do makeovers with whoever is unlucky enough to cave. The results of your makeover usually is determined on whether she truly thinks you deserve a makeover or if she just wants to mess your face up. For instance, Izy got a really nice face of makeup with complimenting colors. Meanwhile, Bakugo looked like a circus clown with lipstick in his eye and eyeshadow smeared across his forehead.

Todoroki has no filter. Everyone says it’s because he doesn’t understand social queues (cues?) — they are right... but that’s not the point. The point is Todoroki will say the most out of pocket things without taking a second to question whether it’s a good idea. Everyone had parent day at school and all the parents showed up to get a tour and shadow training. On first sight of seeing Bakugo’s mom, Todoroki just deadpans “milf.” And continues to blank stare like nothing.

Uraraka absolutely decks Bakugo in the face the first time they actually spar together. He isnt one to make it an uneven fight but she proposed the deal of “if I can land one good punch then you’re sparring partner for the week”. Bakugo doubted it would be that good, he’s been hit by Kirishima and Izuku for fucks sake but.. hey a challenge is a challenge. So he hangs his arms by his side and smirks cockily while saying “sure, give me a little love tap or whatever—.” And gets hit so hard he spins and face plants on the floor then doesn’t get up for a few minutes. Everyone collectively gasped then broke into laughter. And yes Izuku recorded it then posted the video everywhere

my goodness that owl thing is terrifying! i think we saw it briefly in that one promo but still!

young eda is back!

honestly, i thought eda ran away from home after she was cursed. i guess i was wrong.

when the healing coven dude gives eda the gem and says it's in style for young witches, i'm reasonably sure that's a reference to the fact that her gem wasn't originally meant to be an indicator of her curse. if i'm correct, that idea didn't even come about until "the intruder".

i love how eda has a poster in her room for rats, clearly a paridy of the musical cats. musical theatre nerd eda? anyone?

i'll talk more about this later, but we finally get to meet eda's mom! i like how she isn't painted as good or evil, just in between. she also seems to share eda's distaste for the coven system (though not as severe).

so even eda doesn't know where the door to the human realm came from, huh? interesting.

it doesn't look like eda's nickname came from her mom, or from lilith, since they both call her "edalyn" a majority of the time. did she start going by eda in school? did it come from her dad? did it come from somewhere else? huh?

the plot

i think it's kinda neat how eda's gold fang isn't actually meant to be a tooth replacement. it just makes her look cool. very on-brand for eda.

we now have confirmation-- more or less-- as to how the elixir tastes. apparently it's gross.

big fan of eda's new outfit. very much her style.

when eda said "beans" i thought she said "memes".

i love some of the visual humor in this show. the tea leaves "shrugging" made me giggle.

poor luz, she really wants to see her mom again. i can't imagine what that's like given that my mom is mediocre at best and makes me feel like shit a lot of the time but that must really suck. oops, sorry, too personal? let's move on.

i am a huge fan of how much closer eda and lilith seem to be now. they aren't enemies anymore, and that's great.

okay, now we can talk about mrs. clawthorne. i saw her in the trailer, and i knew she wasn't eda because of her palisman. as a matter of fact, it's interesting that all three known clawthornes have bird palismans (palismen?). "escape of the palisman" reveals that not every palisman is a bird. is it a coincidence? is it a family tradition? i'm leaning more toward the latter.

but wow, gwen clawthorne. right off the bat i knew there would be people simping for her. i mean, people simp for both of her daughters, so it only makes sense. now, i'm ace, so i don't know much about milf, but does this make her a gilf? since she'd the mother of two milfs? (or are they still milfs if i don't want to--? never mind.)

i was expecting to dislike gwen, but i honestly ended up enjoying her character. sure, she can be a bit... much... but she loves her daughters.

oh, here's an odd detail. both gwen and eda's names end with "lyn", but lilith's doesn't. coincidence? no?

okay, let's start at the beginning. of the end. okay.

first of all, it shatters my heart into pieces that lilith is going to live with her mom now. i was just growing to like her, too.

and poor hooty! he found someone who considered him a real friend, only to have her ripped away just three episodes later. i hope she comes back soon.

is episode five going to be the episode where we find out that amity works at the library? (don't answer that, it's a rhetorical question.)

okay, now let's get to the real mind-boggling part: false luz. what--or who--the heck is she?! i've seen a lot of theories about that, ever since we saw the letters at the end of "enchanting grom fright", and we have options. i'll go more into those in the next section.

predictions

belos being behind this new false luz makes a lot of sense, since he's the main bad guy as of now. it's the most likely theory for now, but i feel like it's a bit too predictable.

eda was an option before, but now that she has no powers or access to the human realm, that's off the table.

i've seen theories about amity being behind it, but i suggest a new (and probably false) one.

what about the twins? it could be a situation similar to gwen's determination to heal eda's curse. ed and em seem to care about their sister (more or less), so it makes sense that they would do anything for her to be happy, and for her to be with the person that makes her happy-- even if it means trapping said person in a realm that isn't her own. besides, they're both in the illusions track, and from what we've seen they're very good at it. what if they're the ones who made false luz? i don't know if illusions can interact with things around them, like false luz does with the tissue box, but maybe advanced ones can? also, can you cast illusions in the human realm without a portal? out of all of guesses so far it's probably the least likely, but it's still an interesting concept.

on the topic of illusionists, we also have gus as a suspect. however, we can tell when he's controlling illusions, so surely we would have seen it by now. that does provide an argument against the blight twins being the culprits, but they are both older and more experienced. i'm sure their expertise in their track is similar to amity's in the abominations track, if their parents' expectations of them are anything like their expectations of amity. maybe skilled illusionists can control their illusions with their minds alone? or they can create semi-sentient illusions?

Entrapdak Swap Thoughts

I've been writing a fic that swaps several characters and my friends were trying to get me to also swap Entrapta and Hordak just for fun and I was like, please, I already have four characters swapped, this is confusing enough, leave me alone.

But then I started thinking about some ideas for an Entrapdak swap and... since I have WAY too many WIPs to actually write this myself, I thought I would throw them out on the internet if anyone want to take them and run with them. So if you are inspired by any of these half-baked ideas, please feel free to take them and do whatever you want, you have my blessing! (I cannot stress enough how this is just a random idea in the brainstorming phases, please feel free to change or improve on literally any of it!)

What would happen if we swapped Hordak and Entrapta?

First off, you've got Hordak, awkward nerd prince of Dryl.

His staff finds him a little growly but he mostly keeps to himself and his projects.

He's reluctant to join the rebellion mostly because he prefers to be alone, but agrees to join up when they present their case logically.

He has begrudging respect for Bow's tinkering but finds him a bit too perky, though they can work together when needed.

Does not really get along with the other princesses at all except, ironically, Mermista who shares a similar kind of dry sense of humor and love of reading. (I just want nerd Prince Hordak in glasses reading mysteries in his study, let me have this, ok?) 

He also gets along great with Bow's dads and would honestly be happy to take over their library one day if they wanted because he just DROOLS at the idea of all that First One's knowledge.

Meanwhile, you've got Lady Entrapta running the Horde. (Which I guess needs a new name because it's named after Horde Prime but just go with me on this.)

Horde cadets eat THE TINIEST ration bars. 

Not that there are that many non-robot soldiers in the Horde because Entrapta prefers her forces to be bots and only keeps a relatively small staff to help with the few things she can't quite get the robots to do right yet (like food and battle strategy.)

Shadow Weaver keeps her isolated and plays on her insecurities (mostly to make Entrapta think she needs Shadow Weaver to run things and to distract her from trying to experiment with her runestone) and it's messed with her sense of self and morality, even if she's still a good person underneath, and she's gone much more into evil mad scientist who doesn't really think about the consequence of her options mode. 

In a lot of ways, I see the Horde as infinitely more terrifying this way because, not only do they have more deadly bots, but also Hordak kept Shadow Weaver at least somewhat in check and now she has total free rein. Between SW (and then later Catra) manipulating her* and the fact that Entrapta would much rather focus on her projects than conquer the planet, that means Shadow Weaver is doing whatever the heck she wants and that is super not good. *=since canonically Catra does manipulate her and since SW is the OG manipulator...

Then, of course, the Princess Alliance accidentally leaves flustered Nerdak behind and Lady Entrapta and him bond (montage of him helping her with her projects while shackled to the wall by pointing out things she overlooked and eventually she learns to trust him and lets him free... romance etc etc let's get back to plot!)

With my other swap, I only swapped the characters and left the parents the same. So, if we do that and Entrapta's "parent" is still Horde Prime, it does set up a sort of interesting dynamic to play with because what exactly are her "imperfections" that made Prime cast her out? Could be a way to explore gender or a trans / coming out kind of narrative, if you wished.

OR, which is FAR more ridiculous but also much more fun, we swap EVERYONE. Which means we get Entrap Prime and Wrong Entrapta and a whole civilization of Entrapta clones. (I am torn about whether there should be an Entrapta version of Imp flying around or if Hordak should still have Imp as a little sidekick/robot thing because they come as a pair and Entrapta's Imp proxy becomes Emily.)

What would a smooth, world conquering version of Entrap Prime be like? (WOULD people on the internet call her a MILF like they call Prime a Zaddy?) Would Wrong Entrapta be the opposite of Wrong Hordak, withdrawn and shy instead of outgoing and gregarious?

Anyway, there are some chaotic thoughts I had about this prompt and I set them free into the world!

I apologize in advance for this long post but I just want to ease people’s concerns because I get it, it doesn’t look good if you don’t know the context lmao.

I agree with you that the canon characters do not have a good relationship, it would be creepy and predatory as they are in canon, and I would absolutely abhore it as it is. (I mean, I think it’s gonna be really interesting from a non-shippy point and I’m excited for the new game) We’re on the same page there, I get sick to my stomach when I see people ship things in that way- nonconsensual, a predatory older man and a scared younger woman (could be any gender and it’d still be bad tho) hell, even Jack x Ashi from Samurai Jack makes me mega uncomfortable (but its more with the canon writing itself and not the shippers).

But, that’s exactly what I don’t ship. I don’t ship canon William and Vanny, never have. No one else I associate with does either. There’s a huge difference between what I ship and what their canon relationship is. What happened was, me and some friends, before we knew more about the AR e-mails and more about their relationship, sorta came up with our own cutesy/non abusive headcanons and characterizations, and we got attached to them, they sorta became their own thing away from canon and that’s what we ship. 

We balance them out, William is still evil and kills people obviously but Vanny isn’t a helpless, scared little girl, she’s a programmer/technician and has the power to put him in his place if need be. Believe me, people fetishizing women as helpless and scared in their relationships with men triggers me. That’s not cute, that’s not shippy, and that’s not how we ship them. I like the idea of them being an edgy serial killer couple on the same footing without some gross or serious power imbalance, or Vanny is an edgelord fangirl of his and is just as creepy/evil as he is, but she’s not afraid of him. My fave interpretation (and yes, I’m aware it’s not canon) is that Vanny’s an edgy fangirl and she wants to help him BUT she’s too chicken to actually go kill people like he wants, or something like that, and that’s all that the “reluctance” is. That, and, it’s worth mentioning that we mainly headcanon Vanny as uh, the opposite of submissive to him... so we’re definitely not shipping them as “William is preying on her and she’s powerless/being coerced”. Oh no. Most of the time we’re (OR AT LEAST I AM) thirsting over Vanny being uh..... not submissive......

It’s like, for us, (and I don’t speak for all my friends that ship this BUT this is like, what we all usually talk about) this ship is more of a campy, fluffy, kinda silly thing, and as far as I’m aware, among my friends, none of us ship them in an abusive or gross way. If anyone did, then i wouldn’t agree with that interpretation of the ship (unless it was done as like, story that handles it well and not meant to be actually shipped, but that’s completely different)

I’ll also admit that in this ship, I do make William a sOFTER version of his canon self, (listen I love giving horrible villains actual personalities. like, they’re evil and bad and irredeemable but also maybe they’d behave long enough to get snuggles and genuinely treat someone they’re dating with respect while still killing other people and also they have other interests and hobbies sometimes other than murder, so they’re more like a person and not just a cartoonish monster 24/7. It’s not to try to excuse their crimes, it’s just, for fun.) and he’s like, not abusive.

 Yes, it’s pretty canon divergent, Vanny would probably be considered a different character at that point, but there’s so much other fanon and fan works that also stray really far away from canon. That’s been a thing in the FNAF fandom since like, forever. People have been making great and wildly successful AUs for FNAF for a long time, and I don’t see how this is much different. People have even found ways to make Henry x William work in a non disgusting way. Canonically? Hell no! But that’s what’s nice about this fandom, since we’re only given vague fragments of canon at a time, we’ve been given the freedom to come up with all these aus, and they’re great. And even when new canon stuff comes along that proves it wrong, they’re still great on their own. Sometimes, when people ship these things, they’re not shipping it because they LIKE abusive relationships, they’re doing it in spite of it because they got attatched to their own version of the characters and they make it their own, non-abusive thing.

Sorry this was so long but i hope this gets rid of your fear of me like actually being a fuckin creep and shipping something actually nasty. I really don’t want people to think that about me lmao and it’s not at all what Vanilliam is to me or my friends.

An unpopular opinion:

It really depends on who you talk to lmao. But I guess one generally unpopular one is that I don’t ship some popular femslash but like, whatever, die mad about it. I have my reasons and I also literally don’t care what anyone else thinks. I’m here to do my own thing and I always have been.

My Canon OTP:

Barbie/Ken, obviously. He went to the other side of the world to be with her, and she went into a magical world to rescue him!  And now in BDA, they’ve got such a great friendship and they really care so much about each other. I wish they’d articulate their damn feelings already but they’re SO meant to be.

My Non-canon OTP:

Merliah/Kylie. They’re a classic rivals to girlfriends pair, and they don’t even have any boys in their movie! Okay, Break is there. But he’s Merliah’s grandpa and obviously not a love interest. Unlike, say, Ian and Jeremy. So I stand by my position that merlylie is way more canon than alexiana.

Most Badass Character:

This is a hard one, bc when I think ‘badass’ I usually think of fighting, and there’s not much fighting going on. However, I think it has to be Annika. She’s the only protagonist (I think) who outright tried to kill the villain. I think about that all the time. Honorary mentions to Princess Alexa (her showdown with Malucia), Kara (a literal superhero) and Major Mint (survived the Great Mouse War).

Most Epic Villain:

I think Malucia. She’s terrifyingly competent for a 10-year-old and brought her whole kingdom to its knees in, what, a week? Laverna take notes.

Pairing I am not a fan of: 

Elina/Nori is the one I’m thinking about lately but there are several I don’t care for.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):

Kristyn Farraday. Her entire arc in the movie is bullshit. I’ve said it before but I will say again, the movie should have either had her deciding that she would rather be a choreographer than a dancer (as her skillset seems to be more making up dances than actually dancing them), OR her realizing that Madame Natasha was right, and she needs to actually follow the steps to be a good dancer. Tara Pennington was also handled very badly, but I think that just follows with Kristyn’s bad writing (the movie goes way out of its way to make Kristyn seem like she’s in the right at all times). Pink Shoes is actually filled with wonderful characters... and we just happen to see them all on the worst entire day of their lives so it seems like they all suck.

Favourite Friendship:

There’s so many I could say but I’m gonna pull one out of left field: Makena and Thumbelina. I love the way Makena comes to realize what’s really important, and how hard she fights to save the Twillerbees at the end. And I like how Thumbelina is just like, cheerful and nice, but also won’t really take any crap. They’re wonderful friends and I wish ppl talked about the movie at all so I could see more ppl appreciate them.

Character I most identify with:

Tori, definitely. Admittedly, this is bc of headcanons (like that she’s acting out bc her mom died and her dad is dating again), but I take it exceptionally personally when ppl criticize Popstar or hate on Tori. (I mean, I do that with all Barbie movies and characters, but especially Tori, since she gets so much unfair hate.)

Character I wish I could be:

See, I’m generally not someone who ever wishes I could be in any fictional universe. And pretty much all the characters are put in dangerous situations at one point or another, so I mean, I’m not about that. Maybe Christie Clauson? I love Christmas, so it seems like it would be fun to be a mysterious innkeeper with a weird uncle who may or may not be Santa.

Was season 6 really that bad?

It really depends on who you ask. If you are a Lotor fan you might not like this season. If you are a sheith fan you might enjoy this season. However I’m both and I’m more along the lines of it was okay.... This might get very long but let me explain.

This was a very strong season. A ton of questions got answered, loose ends tied up, you know the whole shebang. But as for character arcs... some were told better than others... My main issue with Lotor’s character arc. Lotor is my favorite, he’s reminded me so much of Loki, a man with so much to prove, yet had terrible parent(s) that raised him. The thing is he developed into a morally gray character that you could sympathize with, only to do a complete 180, and turn insanely evil at the last second...

That hurt... a lot... but at the same time I’m conflicted because from the beginning, vld staff said that Lotor was a complex villain and I should have fucking seen that coming from a mile away but I drank my dumb bitch juice and look where it’s gotten me. Slightly bitter. But I don’t like the Azula comparisons. Azula was mean, cruel and ruthless from the get go. She had a pitiful but totally justified end to her arc. Lotor for me didn’t get that. *Sigh* but whatever... I’ll come to terms with it... maybe.

But one thing I’ll never say is that the vld staff are terrible writers just because things didn’t go the way I wanted it to. I’m talking about the /otura shippers lashing out at the al/urance shippers. It’s silly honestly stop it’s not worth fighting over.

One pro about this season is Keith and Shiro. Their character arcs were... perfect. The Shiro clone theory was fucking right. Although I am a bit sour about all those clones, what a waste. I also have a bone to pick with the vld writing staff... They promised that they weren’t going to kill Shiro, yet only the find out that the man has been dead for 3 THREE SEASONS!? I have trust issues enough already I don’t need the staff adding to that. Good thing Allura ex machina happened otherwise I don’t think I could go on.

And Keith! This was such a good season for him! Got to hang out with his mom, got a space wolfy, got older, got longer hair and hotter. All good things... mostly. That fight between him and Kuron, it was so good, tense yes but good. He’s so devoted to Shiro and he’s not afraid to tell him that he loved him, HE WAS SO READY TO RIDE AND DIE for Shiro. And that really touched my heart. It’s rare that you get to see a bond like that between two guys. I don’t really care if their relationship is platonic or romantic. As long as they are together, I’ll be content. However, fuck all y’all (negative nancy’s) let the sheith shippers have this! Let them have this moment, after all the bullshit they put up with, the harassment, the bullying, the false accusations. Fuck you, they deserve this one moment. You don’t have to like sheith, you just got to respect and leave people alone that do. Don’t be an asshole.

Those are the two main things I wanted to talk about... but other things about this season... Hm...

I never expected Romelle! She’s a sweetie! I love her! And I knew Acxa was ride or die for Lotor until.... you know...

Hunk got some really good moments I’m so proud of him. And tbh I want hidge to happen... I want it so bad!

Sendak was only in ONE EPISODE! WHAT THE FUCK!? I demand more!

Hypothetically I could say I like him because I relate to him but also to be fair I project myself onto him so much that I may have forgotten what's canon and what's headcanon. Why I don’t: I don't think there's actually any reasons I don't like him. Don't get me wrong he's a HELLA flawed and problematic character but if anything those things make me like him more. I'm a sucker for characters who are suffering and make bad decisions and aren't always right or moral and have ugly moods and emotions because that just makes them more real and tangible for me. Favorite episode (scene if movie): I really like the first episodes of both BoC and BoM with him. They have lots of great scenes. The good Lau content. Favorite season/movie: BoM because he was a consistent character in itFavorite line: okay I've got a few but for lighthearted one, the one where he's describing Ciel to Arthur. Also when he calls Ciel a bully in a really adoring way is pretty adorable. For heavier ones, I really like both the one at Madame red's grave where he says that if Ciel doesn't ask for help he'll sink in the mud, you know that one? Also the one where he goads Ciel on about whether he'll be able to handle looking at the corpses of JtR victims and when Ciel brushes it off he says the thing about how the look in Ciel's eyes is good, and he sounds really like. Impressed. Favorite outfit: his crop top in Weston arc is very cute. Also the outfit he wears when visiting UT. OTP: I'm a loyal cielau ho, y'all know this by now Brotp: him and sieglinde, Lizzy, ran Mao (look he just seems like that guy who's friend group is 90% girls), Madame red, GRELL, kinda want to see him interact with finny, yeah probably a few others but you get the idea. Head Canon: I may or may not have mentioned this before but I hc that he has PTSD and that comes into my other hcs a lot so. Yeah. Unpopular opinion: he's not a comic relief character or a villain. The fandom reduces him to either a villain or comic relief a lot and then acts like that's what Yana wrote but he actually has a lot of depth and complicated sides and I wish people could see more than a one dimensional view of him. A wish: he has a quiet bonding moment with Ciel. We get a development arc including his backstory. He's confirmed bi. We get to see him kill people in dramatic ways and then be covered in blood. Any/all of the above. An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: either him dying or him betraying Ciel. I honestly don't know which would be worse. Because him dying means no more content of him, but him betraying Ciel means me dropping him as a fave and since I love him a lot that would kind of suck so. 5 words to best describe them: moody. Childish. Needy. Aggressive. Unstable. (I say a lot of negative things about him tbh.)My nickname for them: that lanky noodle of a Chinese man

My Theon Centric Pairings: A Game of Multishipping

So I keep getting tagged to list my 10 ships from 10 different fandoms or 5 OTPs from 5 different fandoms. But the problem is I don’t really have any hardcore ships in any other fandoms- So, I made this instead. A detailed explanation no one asked for of all my Theon ships. (I may be Multishipping trash- but at least i’ll always have my OTC, Theon Greyjoy)

My Joint OTP (yeah I said it): Throbb and Theonsa

Well you guys know that I have totally gone down the rabbit hole of Theon ships BUT- I have developed an OTP (or TTP- Two True Pairings) and that is Throbb and Theonsa. Shipping BOTH Throbb and Theonsa seems to make an incredible amount of sense to me- because Robb, so tragically, IS dead… (cries forever) and I see Theonsa as a natural progression from Throbb. Both Sansa and Theon loved Robb and idealized him in a way. However, when it comes down to it, I think Sansa and Theon have much more in common with each other. And so I think the Theonsa ship is beautiful because in loving each other they can learn to forgive things about themselves since they are so similar and have been in such similar situations.

Throbb (Most Tragic Ship/ also my “across time and space they will always find each other” Ship)

This one hurts the most because of the death and betrayal the guilt and the tragedy of it all. But it remains one of the most beautiful ships of all time in my humble opinion. I also feel like there is often echos of Throbb in all the other Theon ships I am into.

Theonsa (The Most Hopeful Ship)

This ship is so pure and beautiful and I hope that they end up together. I really do. They are my endgame ship. This is also the ship that first brought me to Tumblr. Theonsa trash 5ever (as the kids say)

Theyne (Sweetest Ship of All Time)

So yes this is the purest sweetest ship of perhaps all time. I love Theyne. The reason I love Jeyne so much with Theon is because she is the only one in the books or show who sees him as Theon- not as Reek or a Turncoat. Not someone to distrust or fear or be disgusted by. Just Theon- that handsome boy she used to watch in the practice yard. It is her complete genuine acceptance of him that I believe helps him reclaim his true identify

My “We Could Have Had it ALLLLLLLLL” Ship:

I’ve always thought that Theon and Margaery could TEAR IT UP as a couple. I don’t think she would have wanted to marry him because of her ambition but they could have been amazing lovers- or just BUDS. They both are called out for smirking and smiling- they could have shared the slyest of smiles you guys! She could have soothed his self doubt and he’d have definitely benefited from her strategic mind. And it would have been interesting to see her in a non-politically motivated relationship. I mean seriously, if you don’t want to see the king and queen of sass take over Westeros then I just have to ask, what is wrong with you??  Even Alfie agrees

My “I will go down with this ship” Ship:

Theolyn (of course)

Well, if you follow me you know that every Thursday I talk about how much I LOVE this ship. It is total crack and I admit it- but Catelyn and Theon have a lot of parallels and I just LOVE the idea of Catelyn, who has always done her duty, having this torrid love affair with gallant slut pirate, Theon Greyjoy. It’s just such an interesting dynamic to explore- and I just love the older woman/ younger man thing. Plus Theon has a thing for MILFs in book canon. Wasn’t the first woman he slept with married with a child? And the miller’s wife… And he was even more attracted to Asha (pretending to be Esgred) when she lied and said she was with child. Mothers just turn him on. It is known.  

My “I Wish I Could Quit You” Ship:

Oh man, this would be such an intense and passionate love/hate kind of ship. The characters have so many parallels and similarities. Both outcasts, both known as “turncloaks” in the book. Both have heavy resurrection themes in their storyline- but they are also complete opposites in many ways- which would make this an incredibly dynamic ship. I just hope Greysnow gets more love after their big confrontation in Season 7 (and I hope the scene evolves Brokeback style with punches being thrown and wrestling because they just can’t DEAL with the love they feel for each other, and then all of a sudden they are making out…. Well, a girl can dream anyway, right?)

My Two True BroTPs: 

Thasha/ Theyara 

Seriously, I would watch an entire series of just these two! They have such an incredible bond- especially after not having the opportunity to grow up together and having such an messed up reunion (largely due to Yara/Asha let’s be honest.) Being with Yara is the only thing that made Theon punking out on The Dream Team okay for me lol. And when people say that Yara is going to die in the show or Asha in the books- that is NOT OKAY people- because I need these two together forever as power siblings. I need it for my SOUL.

Thyrion

Okay so who doesn’t want to watch these two get drunk and talk about their appalling childhoods? Seriously Tyrion and Theon have so much in common. Before everything went down, they could have been drinking and brothel buddies. Now after everything they have gone through, I think they could be incredibly close allies and friends. I think they could help each other in so many ways. I know that their interactions with each other hasn’t gone very well up to this point, BUT! Has anyone noticed that Tyrion is the only character who acknowledges how fucked up Theon’s situation with the Starks was? And he also acknowledges how that must have effected him growing up. I think there is much more understanding to be found in this  relationship and I will never give up hope for this BroTP becoming a reality. 

My Dream Team:

Brienne, Pod, Sansa, and Theon

Like, do I even need to say anything about this guys? I was SO PUMPED when Brienne + Pod ex machina rode in to save the day- and for a brief, BRIEF moment of time (curse you D&D, curse you!) we had this incredible dream team. They are the dream team that got away you guys… *cries

Okay, I am only half serious about this but oh, I can’t even with these three- there are so many parallels within their stories, they all have such chemistry with each other, they are the embodiment of Tyrion’s “cripples, bastards, and broken things.” And seven hells, the HUGS! THE HUGS!! Is there any trio of characters who can give better hugs? The answer is no. No one gives better hugs than these three. Come for the dragons, Stay for the hugs (and GreyStoneSnow) ;)

*I don’t think I can rightfully call this one of my ships since it makes me feel like curling up into a catatonic ball in the corner of my room and never coming out. I really don’t want them together AT ALL- BUT… it is still an incredibly fascinating ship because thinking about it reveals a lot about both Theon and Ramsay… And this incredibly toxic, intensely disturbing, stockholm syndrome ship has also inspired some really illuminating and psychological Theon meta and fanfic. Reformed by DoubleBit is a really brilliant modern AU fic about the psychology of their relationship (which bonus, also has Throbb and Greysnow it in!) So even though I do not technically ship them- I do find it very interesting to think about.

This ship is entirely blamed on the beautiful RPs of @ladyoftheneck and @slysmiles / @drownedandflayed-archived-deact Check out some of their lines- they are adorable together, trust me. 

Thegritte (Theon x Ygritte) 

And this ship is blamed on the lovely RPs of @theredheadwildling-deactivated2 and @slysmiles / @drownedandflayed-archived-deact and also on this great fanfic, Iron and Flint by VagrantWriter Ygritte and Theon actually share a lot of cultural similarities and they challenge each other in very interesting ways.

Last but definitely not least, I give you Thod. Again, this ship is blamed on someone- @lordhellebore for her beautiful fic, Don’t do so well alone. I’m not sure if Thod is necessarily her intention- the fic seems to be more about the beautiful beautiful friendship developing between The Dream Team and a wonderful psychological portrayal of Theon’s struggle and journey from Reek to Theon (which of course didn’t end when he saved Sansa.) But the fic does depict Pod caring for Theon and even singing to him at one point. My heart! And when you think about it- Theon is Pod’s Knight in tattered rags shining armor. And could you IMAGINE- this ship, Pod and post Reek Theon. It would be so PURE
