Name: 2011 Altesino Brunello Di Montalcino _________ My rating: 93 _________ My Price: N/A, had at our cousin’s house. _________ First time trying Altesino. Old world nose of ripe dark cherry, wet earth, mushrooms, and tobacco. On the palate, this a bit more modern than many brunellos I’ve had recently. The palate is really integrated and seamless, with fruit and acidity very well balanced. Plenty of structure, but tannins are already fairly resolved.
