until that (impossible..) day comes we have to decide for ourselves who these characters are! thats what makes fandom great! you get to mold all the characters into anything you want! and if you dont like how certain characters are written by another fan, you can just ignore them!

the problems come when fans either: 1. push headcanons (like ace or bi shinsou) onto the creator when they weren’t intended or 2. when other fans fight over which headcanons are actually canon. i (and hopefully the other asks too) wasnt saying shinsou was legitimately ace, just that in my heart i can relate to him, and im ace. since i feel like his struggles are relatable, i think he has similar struggles that i do too. thats what projecting is, and thats why its a headcanon. if horikoshi gives shinsou a girlfriend/boyfriend/partner i wont be upset (well maybe a little) but at least i got to have this time of thinking that for once, a character in a show i like was like me.

(Y/N) had lived in Riverdale for two years now after moving from Finland, and she loved it. Sure, the town was unhinged at the moment, but she loved the town. She loved her friends, and most of all, she loved her boyfriend, Jughead. She met Jughead soon after moving, and he never really questioned where she was from or why she moved. Plus, her accent had never been very obvious.

They had been dating for almost a year now, and frankly, (Y/N) was surprised that Jughead still had no idea she was Finnish. Jughead just never seemed to care about trivial things like that. He loved her, but formalities weren’t really his thing. It didn’t really bother her, though. She loved Jughead and knew that he really cared about her. His love was not decided by if he knew everything about her.

(Y/N) and Jughead didn’t get to see each other as often as they used to with everything going on with the Black Hood and his dad, so when they did get to see each other, it was special to them. They had decided that they just wanted a night in, so they were going to watch a movie and eat Pop’s at Jughead’s trailer. After getting Pop’s, (Y/N) headed to Jughead’s and knocked on the door.

“(Y/N)!” Jughead answered, placing a kiss on her cheek.

“Jug!” (Y/N) exclaimed as she entered the trailer.

Jughead grabbed the food from her arms and placed it on the counter before pulling her into a tight hug.

“I’ve missed you,” he sighed, his voice muffled in her hair. He pulled away slightly and placed a light kiss on her forehead.

“I’ve missed you too, Juggie,” (Y/N) cooed with a grin.

He pulled her into another hug before grabbing the food and leading her towards to the couch. Jughead put on a movie, and they started to dig into their food.

“Hey, Jug, I want a drink of water. Where do you keep your cups?”

“They’re just over the sink,” Jughead responded, not tearing his gaze away from the screen.

(Y/N) stood up and kissed the top of his beanie-less head before walking into the kitchen and grabbing a glass of water. (Y/N) got distracted by the movie as she walked and didn’t notice her shoes in the middle of her path. She tripped, causing her to spill the water all over herself.

“Kirottu!” (Y/N) muttered under her breath as she tried to compose herself.

Jughead had rushed over when she fell and couldn’t help but notice what she had just said.

“What did you just say? Because it really didn’t sound like English,” Jughead questioned as he helped her dry off.

“I said kirottu. It’s Finnish for damn.”

Jughead looked at her in surprise.

“You know Finnish?”

“Yeah,” (Y/N) replied, putting her cup by the sink. “I lived in Finland for most of my life.”

“How did I not know that?”

“I don’t know Jug. You just never asked.”

Jughead shrugged. “Weird. Hey. (Y/N).”

“Yes?”

“How do you say I love you?”

(Y/N) turned around and looked at Jughead, smiling at the cute grin on his face. She walked towards him and pulled him into an embrace before answering his question.

I agree with how you feel, I'm one of the people (and probably the only one) that thinks that characters shouldn't comeback once they "died" it makes the whole "Live as you lose" look meaningless, I mean, I'll let Hide fans celebrate all they want as long they arent annoying assholes with their spam on the tag, but I dont agree with this turn of the story. I believe he and the other important "dead" characters give more value and make the story deeper staying that way,I think I'm alone with this

Sorry but I can’t agree with you on this one. Characters like Koma, Irimi, Hide, Amon and Yoshimura “dying” while Kaneki could only sit there and watch were the major reason behind Kaneki’s depression and his attempt at killing himself. They reminded him of how powerless and devastated he felt when his mother died and became the key of a major character regression, where instead of living for those who were still alive (amd moving on), he preferred dying for those who left him. So the “living while we lose things” narrative might work for neurotypical characters like Touka and Yomo, but it doesn’t work at all for Kaneki, whose mental health issues have yet to be properly addressed in canon and even dealth with. Don’t get me wrong, I do love my angst too, and the ending of the original series is still the highest peak of quality writing of this series for me, but there’s no denying that the tragedy route was an unhealthy and circular narrative that led Kaneki to the place where he was at the beginning of the story, with no character growth whatsoever. So no, despite loving angst I don’t think I enjoy seeing him spinning in circles all the time, struggling pointlessly against a fate that will only ever take things from him without giving him nothing back like, ever. If that was the point of Kaneki’s journey, the story should’ve ended with volume 14.

Also, I recommend downloading xkit and blacklisting tags you don’t want to see, or even taking a break from tg or from tumblr. If the only thing you can focus on is your own disappointment, and if your first reaction is to put a limit to how civil you can be before you get salty and start to bitch and moan about people being happy after they waited THREE YEARS (three literal years) to see their favourite character back, maybe the fandom experience isn’t really for you
