I've been reading the books Vienna Blood is based on and they pretty much meet expectations but I am obsessed with the fact that Oskar and Max regularly get together in the evenings to play music together

Not sure about the Amelia Lydgate recasting but maybe she'll grown on me.

I like Murder in Provence but like... I do think that it would have been better if the people in Provence, France spoke with, you know, French accents. I get that they're a bunch of British actors, because it's a British show, but they're just... Picard-ing. I mean, I'm assuming that these characters, even though they're speaking English, are presumably in universe speaking French and that's just a translation convention, and I'm just... Not getting that.

Also having recently watched Vienna Blood, another British series set in Vienna, Austria, where the only characters with British accents are Liebermann's family and Amelia Lydgate, who are English, it kinda sticks out.

I mean, Vienna Blood did, I think, have a mix of Austrian and German actors play the Austrian characters, and I don't think I could tell the difference between Austrian and German accents. But then, they also had a mix of English, Irish and Australian actors play the Liebermanns/Lydgate, and every one of them has an English accent. So...

I think I used to start fics with dialogue more often, I was expecting more of that here. I definitely like beginning with something short and fairly active most of the time, so even if I'm doing some scene setting I tend to move along pretty quickly. Love that I just blatantly started with an oc (her first appearance no less) in The Confidant...Blythe is very real to me lol. Anyway, this was fun!
