🎃 FIVE NIGHTS OF FEAR 🎃

From October 27th to October 31st, Ville City will be holding its annual horror-filled Halloween fest. But that isn’t to say a certain apartment complex won’t be dealing with its own strange scares throughout the week... 

Welcome to LIMINAL’s Halloween event! Below is a timeline of the various mini events that will be ongoing throughout this week. 

TIMELINE

NIGHT ONE

AROUND THE CITY Haunt Street Every year, VC reimagines the street where a now-abandoned hospital stands into a famous horror film location For 2021, it’s the haunting dwelling of The Amytville Horror series. There, visitors can roam the site and, if they so wish, pay to stay the night. 

AROUND THE COMPLEX Weather alert: be aware of the thick fog that’ll be rolling in from the east. The hallways flicker on and off in the middle of the night, washed in some odd red light. To those that know better, it’s Morse code that spells out “Don’t look.” 

NIGHT TWO

AROUND THE CITY After Dark Everyone’s favorite amusement center “Cranked” sits right on the outskirts of VC University’s campus have brought back their House of Horrors escape game. 

AROUND THE COMPLEX There are handprints and footprints that appear then disappear—on the windows, elevator floors, and the hallways. The sight is followed by some auditory “hallucination” of water dripping if you look too long at it, only to fade away with said prints. 

NIGHT THREE

AROUND THE CITY Zombie Crawl It’s VC’s annual bar hop slash cocktail competition where all participating bars and pubs downtown open their doors to patrons ready to get punch drunk on their Halloween specials. 

AROUND THE COMPLEX  A tall, ghostly man appears to be wandering the halls, then vanishes at random points of the night. If you’re suddenly struck with the urge to look through your peephole—don’t. 

NIGHT FOUR

AROUND THE CITY Dead By Daylight Hop on over to BPM, the city’s premier nightclub for their Halloween romp. Expect a lot of witch-house and glitchy EDM on the DJ sets and a wide open dancefloor. 

AROUND THE COMPLEX A loud, blood-curdling scream wakes everyone up in the middle of the night at 3:15am. No one’s sure where it came from. 

NIGHT FIVE

AROUND THE CITY Mrs. Eom’s Birthday Dinner Doubling as a grand costume party, all residents, staff, and their plus-ones are invited to come to the (magically expanded) rooftop to celebrate the Landlady’s special day.

AROUND THE COMPLEX The elevators stop working, cutting off anyone living on the Top and Bottom Floors from getting back into their homes. It leaves them with no choice but to take the stairs, only to hear footsteps from behind that get louder and faster as they make their way down. Those from these floors must “take refuge” for the night on one of the Middle floors.

This event will last from October 24th through November 4th. Feel free to continue these threads after this time if you’d like, but starters should be posted within this time frame. 

Think of this as a variety-pack, pick-your-adventure type event where you can pick and choose what your character will get involved in depending on their time and place.
