honestly. half the fun of fantasy aus for me is the Food Descriptions

The pills have worked for me before.#Surely the horrors won't prevail AUGHHHHH AUHGHHSHH THE HORRORS!! THE HORRORS!! WHAT'S BECOME OF MY LACTASE #HELLO? ? HELLO!! DIGESTIVE SYSTEM WHERE'S YOUR FEEBLE LACTASE NUMBERS . You and I BOTh know there was a lactase in there at some point.#even if not many. even if only One. you fool. you horrendous beast.#this is disastrous. one (1!!) tiny slice of pizza buffered with THREe lactaid pills. and it's still so over. my tummy ? hurted.#Hurted so bad. and for what #I just want to digest a Lactose is that so bad. ohhhhhh the reason this feels familiar is that it is is Kind of shaped like tombs of atuan. except none of the things that are cool and mesmerizing about tombs of atuan are the focus here.

#the captain's library #We Are Still Reading Murtagh. my conclusion that the alín/bachel duo adds up to one entire tenar is certainly affecting ye experience #paolini is an Interesting read because in this one he seems to be writing in a flavor of fantasy that seems to be fading these days #this weird hallucinatory melange of big dragon and big sword and scary lady in leather #and I won't deny that I am having fun because I Am having fun. but also I miss some of his cleverer and weirder characters #(nasuada! angela!)#anyway. one thing paolini can do very well is a cathartic fight scene!#altho' the description of slicing through a man's head 'like fresh cheese' is going to live in my mind #right next to the animorphs orca hoagie scene :/#but even so it's a good match to put on a couple of dark britannica albums and just go Hoooooo Swordfight Time

#finding New Foods is always so hard so finding good ones like this is COOL #literally this is such a good food i can make so easy and can be made a bunch of different ways depending how i feel or what i want #i can make little snack wraps at home and they're great #like all i really need is tortillas and that's it #then I can just scavenge for whatever fillings i have like lettuce and meat and cheese and condiments and stuff #and i have at least like. three different combos i know i like #i just assemble a salad and then stick it in the tortilla and its so easy #and i can make it easier on myself making the salad too by just. using scissors #like the other day owen was fronting and did that and the entire rest of the system Collectively Realised that oh yeah you can do that #so using scissors to cut up the lettuce or like. deli meat or cheese slices. makes it a lot easier #good food for less function for us at least #just Throw Shit In A Bowl and then wrap it up in a tortilla 👍

#never made these before because I always associated them with like. seven layer dip or whatever that cheese thing is which I am not into #but the recipe I’m loosely following is just graham cracker choc chips walnuts sweetened condensed milk and coconut (five layer bars?)#which are things I like in combination. best part of working in an environment where 90% of regular customers are over the age of 70 #is the lady who loves baking but hates eating sweet things so brings us baked goods regularly. she brought in these and I was like #fuck my coworkers and ate way too many 💀 and then went out and bought ingredients and now I finally have the chance to use them lol #anyway the entire house smells so fucking good I can’t wait for these to cool.#also unrelated but i look so cute today fyi.
