My baby sister has heard of bnha and apparently watched some clips but only some tidbits from the 6th season (mainly the fight with Nagant, who is her favorite) And she very confidently told me that she knows all about keigo, who is hawks. I asked if he knew who dabi has, and she rolled her eyes and told me that yes, she knows he's touya, and that he used to be friends with keigo as kids!
She was very confused when I told her that... no, they weren't. They didn't know each other until adulthood. She insisted that she'd seen a video of them as kids together. I told her it was probably a fan animation, because a lot of people thought Dabi and Hawks knew each other as kids, since Dabi was the only one who knew hawks' real name. But it turned out he just tracked his mom down in secret. She insists that this is stupid, once again confirming that the "dabihawks secret childhood friends/rivals" theory is the only time fanon has ever been better than canon.

in april when i started my dbz rewatch i decided to keep some notes on japanese vs english version differences.
the doc is now 24,500 words long of version differences, theories, AUs, and headcanons, and I had to move it to a real word processor cause it started crashing my notes app about 8,000 words ago.

hm hm hm i feel like this will be really interesting to read with the knowledge of korra and how that effected her instead.... because korra (from my limited knowledge so i could be talking out my ass here) knew she was the avatar at an early age and DID get that community. she had katara and her parents, she had her mentors, she was isolated from the real world during so and perfected the elements other than air (which i kinda recall her struggling with and how its the opposite element of earth so im excited to see if those kinda play out :3) and she was more eager to be the avatar and the excitement and significance it brought (which was a bit clouded by her being sheltered but also would have been expected more before the war impacted things)
i also remember matty saying kyoshi struggled with earth bending (which im super excited to get to and see/see her journey and how it will differ) but!!! i just think its really fun how theyre kinda off the bat setting up this expectation and new grounding for readers who have a past grasp of the avatar universe. even as someone who isnt super familiar with the lore, i know enough to recognize that oh! thats something new!! so just kudos to the writer(s?) for just setting this up to be something very different and in a natural way :3

I think it's funny how the Metal Virus was eventually taken out by basically doing the whole "Let's take *place or thing here*, and push it somewhere else." Patrick Star idea; Just chuck the whole damn thing into the sun.
Yeah, that smacked of Flynn writing himself into a corner.
When Sonic and Amy find zombified Rough and Tumble, they discover that they're indestructible, because Amy's hammer turns them into mush that then reforms itself. This means that the virus changed them to a molecular level: they are no longer organic, but made of metallic goop. Either you chemically reverse the process, or those people are functionally dead.
And yet, Super Silver can simply... yank the virus out of their DNA. And yeet it.
I get that Super Silver's telekinesis is stronger than regular Silver's, but this may be too much, dontcha think? He even healed Rough and Tumble still stuck in a hole underground - what kind of reach do his powers have??? There's being Super, and then there's being Jesus!
This is because Flynn was too concerned with raising the stakes (to his own admission when he explained his reasoning for Shadow in #19), and as usual, when a writer focuses on raising the stakes to the point where they reach their limit, the resolution to said stakes is rarely satisfying.
Then again...
