26 ASKS!! :DD THANK U VERY MUCH!!🎨
Tumblr media
Well that wouldn't be a good thing to do- Its very well known that I don't like fanart of my works..
If you wanna show that you like Bibi, just leave a comment please!
Seriously ya'll, just comments. Reblogs, tags, asks.. what ever form they may take. All I look forward to when posting artwork is reading all the responses. 👍
Tumblr media
@solst1ce-sketches
Tumblr media
WAAAHGAGAG THANK YOU SO MUCH!! AND HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! 😭😭💖💖💖😭💖
Tumblr media
@luna-purple454
Oh they're both fine! :0 Other than some angst ideas I had for them-- they're both still alive and well XD I just haven't drawn them in a while :/
Tumblr media
@minnesotamedic186
I can hardly wait! :DDD (And yes you can XD)
Tumblr media
@butterbreadsworld
Sorry, I don't take requests. Thank you though!! :}}
Tumblr media
@i-v-y67
Blackmail XDD
Tumblr media
@samcat2
I still like transformers! Though I'm not really interested in drawing it atm.. thank you though!! :DD
Tumblr media
(Post in question)
XDDD fr tho--
Tumblr media
:DD Thank youuu!! :}}}
Tumblr media
@kiinther
XDD Blue is too big for that too! Though Seafoam might be able to give her a little peck on the cheek 👀 if either of them would just confess their feelings already <XDD
Tumblr media
I know, and I hate all of it. :(
Also thank you so much! :DD
Tumblr media
I was thinking that they're kind'a a cross between the two.
They pillage and raid other ships, but they don't normally go for "innocent" ships.. if they attack anyone, its usually other rotten pirates or slave ships maybe? "Bad" ships I guess you could say-
As for the voice claims. If like you explained- you happen upon an OC of mine and think "HE LOOKES LIKE HE SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE THAT OTHER GUY" Then feel free to send it on over to me! :DD
But don't go out of your way to find voice claims for my characters as a gift or a form of fanart. Remember! All I really want is comments. Engagement with my work means everything to me! <:)
Tumblr media
@neo-metalscottic (Post in question)
AAAA THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! :DDD I'm so glad you like him!! :}} And that head injury was kind'a just a pose prompt. Though I might slap some lore on it and make it canon! :00
As for Papyrus.. its complicated.
Papyrus had accepted long ago that Sans and all his friends were gone. And that he was never going to see them again.. It really hurt. And it took him a very long time to accept that fact. But he did. He knows in his soul that his true brother is gone..
That didn't make seeing "Sans" again any less painful though. He probably saw a Sans through the trees in a new Snowdin. Man, I cant imagine how he felt.
The whole multiverse thing was explained to him by Frisk. He knows that's not his Sans. He knows its not him. But gosh. Its been so long since he's seen his brothers smile. What he would give to hear one of his silly puns again. What he would give to hear his voice.. to just.. to hug him one last time..
Frisk would grab Papyrus' hand, "Papyrus.. we need to go.. please, common.."
Seeing the other Papyrus walk into view and begin talking to that Sans.. He recollects himself. Its not him. Sans is gone. He's been gone for a very long time..
With tears streaming down his face, he would find the strength to grip Frisk's hand.. and turn away.
It never gets easier..
Tumblr media
@jesterpiecethejester
Sorry, I don't take drawing requests! Plus the crews already pretty full as it is- <XDD
Tumblr media
@bunny-coffee
I didn't intend to ever draw Frank and Eddie in a romantic light.. becuase yeah like you said, I just don't really like ships. Or honestly any romantic content that isn't my own OCs. Idk I just don't really enjoy drawing it--
But that's kind'a what I feared about the Welcome Home fandom if I'm being honest. I felt like people were really protective over Eddie and Frank. And if I revealed that I wasn't interested in drawing them as an item, canon or not? I felt like I would get a loooot of backlash.
But hey, I found a loophole. Just don't draw them together and there wont be any drama! :D It sucks though becuase Frank is a big part of Eddies lore and all his flashback shenanigans-
(Also thank you! :DD )
Tumblr media
@beryl-shade
Oh! No no, its just made of seafoam! :0 Though whipped cream would make sense because he's a cookie- <XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do??
Huh.. I guess I do don't I..
What do I do with that power--
Tumblr media
@sparkdrawsstuff
Well the strongest would be Blue Beauty by far- but looking at the smaller cookies? I think Seafoam is probably the strongest. But that's mostly due to him being so big. He's the biggest cookie on the crew and most of his strength just comes from packing more weight to his punch.
Though another toughy on the ship would be Louis. He may not be very big. But boy that crab arm? He has a grip strong enough to break cookies in half. And enough upper body strength to take your pieces and chuck em overboard--- 💀💀💀I wouldn't mess with either of them tbh--
As for the bounty.. that's a good question. :0 I wanna say Seafoam because he's the Captain an all.. but I really like the idea of Cuttlefish having this dark past and a surprisingly huge bounty over her head- 👀👀
Tumblr media
@wilmawillow
<XD I think you might have got those two words switched around. I don't take drawing requests! But I've considered going back to some old artwork and redrawing them in my updated style.. 👀👀
Tumblr media
@danikoshi
Not really.. :( There have been times in the past where I have asked for drawing ideas/requests when I was feeling low. But now a days I have plenty of ideas to draw so I don't need to do that anymore-
And to be totally honest, when someone says "Hey draw this thing for me." It just makes me go-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@astaherussy
You can find all the lore you need about Papyrus in this ask post! Just scroll down a bit and you'll find all the links and a bonus paragraph <XD
As for the tags. If you wanna see my AU with Jevil and the gang, you can find that under my #deltarune tag. They're also tagged under #Undertale but that will also bring up my Refinedtale AU and other au stuff-- :00
As for the Octonauts question, bro I EAT questions like these! :DD
Its a very interesting prompt. Usually we think of Captain Barnacles as very level headed and calm. He seems like one to bounce back from any situation and keep leading the team no problem. But man. After something like that? That's gotta scare him to his core.
I can see Barnacles being more tense and not wanting any of the crew to stray too far from him or the Octopod. I can imagine that he would give Kwazii a lot of time to recover, a lot more than he actually needs. And maybe even going as far to forbid him from going on certain missions.
But after a little time and maybe a talk with Kwazii. I'm sure both Kwazii and the Captain would recover from the experience and continue on as normal.
(Also thank you! I hope this response was along the lines of what you were hoping for-- :00 )
Tumblr media
I pictured it being like really dense soap bubbles. They smell nice and can be picked off his coat or head. But if you jumped on his coat foam you wouldn't sink through. It would be like a big cushion that you could sit on top of. If that makes sense?? <XDD
Tumblr media
@danman22ful
Out my OCs? Probably Seafoam 🥺
Out of the game cookies? Uhhhm.. well, I don't really know/remember any of the characters.. But Tea Knight cookie looks really cool! :0 He gives me major Reinhardt vibes :))
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you so much!!!! :DDD
Tumblr media
@insanityislife101 (I couldn't find the post in question :((( )
Oh fr??? Cool! He was in character after all! :DD

Hi everyone, I wanted to write a quick update to you guys :)
I made this blog in March of 2021. At the time, I followed my first math course on fractals and dynamics, and had just discovered a tool to make my own awesome fractals. This blog started out as a place to share the art I was making as a coping mechanism during covid, but as I quit making them after a few months, this blog died pretty quickly. In 2022, I decided to start posting regularly again (mostly just shitposts though), just so that the effort I put into this blog wouldn't go to waste.
Then, in the beginning of this year, I started writing my thesis. I posted one (1) shitpost about him (my well-known and popular son), and got 10s of thousands of notes. Every morning I would wake up to another crowd of people who loved the graphs, or were baffled by them, and I got showered in asks to elaborate on him.
Truth be told, 2023 has been a very heavy year for me. A lot of things happened in my personal life, and I lost a dear friend to suicide. It became so difficult for me to keep writing on my thesis, and the project that should have been finished in June this year has now been taking 4 months too many. My mental health has suffered greatly, I haven't been able to take any breaks, and life has just been generally difficult. I have spent nights not being able to sleep because I wanted to finish my bachelor's thesis so bad, but my supervisors would keep demanding more work, more edits, and more drafts. At some point, I even considered quitting my studies and finding a job.
The community has helped me to keep going. Mathematicians and non-mathematicians alike who sent me genuinely interested questions, made me laugh in the notes, created fanart (??? I'm still baffled by this but the people who did this are the coolest in the world) and generally made me feel for the first time that mathematics isn't a universally hated subject. On some days, the only reason I was able to keep going and the only thing keeping me from experiencing burn-out was the support I got through this blog.
Today, 10/12/2023, I turned in my thesis. Thank you so much for your support!

angel dust :3
Send me a character and I’ll list:
Favourite thing about them: "Thing", singular? I can't put just one thing! There are too many things! The humour in his dialogue. The songs he sings. The fact that he's both an ex-mafia member and a femme gay man. The fact that he's got a twin sister in Heaven. The changes we see in his character over the course of Season 1. The bond he forms with Husk. The dynamic he has with Charlie (and the others in the hotel). The angst of his relationship with Valentino. The voice. The hair. The eyes. The arms. The chest fluff. The outfits. The dance moves. I just love him so much.
Least favourite thing about them: Well, the way he acted towards Husk initially was, let's face it, sexual harassment. Just because it was a response to trauma doesn't make it okay. I appreciate that Angel doesn't bother Husk like that after "Masquerade" - he still makes sex jokes, but now they're less about targeting people and making them feel uncomfortable - but I still think it would have been good for Angel to explicitly acknowledge that his behaviour wasn't acceptable and apologise to Husk.
Favourite line: (porn voice) "I've been a bad boy, and I need a big strong daddy to put me in my place..." (regular voice) "...on the path to redemption!"
brOTP: I like the friendship he develops with Charlie. The prequel comic "Dirty Healings" shows that she sees potential in him that he doesn't see at first. He initially only joins the hotel for the free rent and to get away from Valentino, but then he comes to genuinely care about Charlie, as she does for him. That's nice to see.
Also, Angel and Emily haven't interacted yet, but I think they would have a cute friendship if they did!
OTP: Huskerdust! I've seen so much cute fanart and read so many hurt/comfort fics of the two together that I can't help but love this ship. I enjoy thinking about them being together and how they could change each other for the better. Having Husk around to take care of Angel would definitely be good for him.
But Angel's trauma isn't going to go away overnight, so that'll be a lot to deal with. And Husk is also pretty judgemental, so if Angel ever has a relapse and Husk treats him too harshly for it, that could put a rift between them. Angst potential!
Everyone talks about how Husk is changing Angel, helping him to be more honest, but I do think Angel is changing Husk too. Husk certainly seems to drink less after "Masquerade". And if Husk was somehow able to help Angel out of his contract, that would be redemption for his own participation in the cruel Overlord system.
Angel and Husk are not perfect people, but they could be perfect for each other.
nOTP: Any ship that involves pairing Angel with a woman. He's gay. He wouldn't be interested.
As for Valangel ... look, I am interested in exploring the backstory - I want to find out how Angel met Valentino and what led to him signing his soul away. But I definitely do not want Angel to stay with that moth. That pairing is way too toxic.
Random headcanon: Both Anthony and Molly had albinism when they were alive, and that's why they're so pale in the afterlife. Anthony also had a visual impairment, so his demon form overcompensated by giving him extra eyes.
Unpopular opinion: Some fans love seeing Angel with all six arms out and six guns blazing, but I'm not so keen on it. That's a personal thing, really - I just don't like guns and don't think they have any reason to exist. All they do is kill people, and killing people is wrong. If Angel's got all six arms out, he should be using them to give Husk a back massage instead.
Song I associate with them: Besides "Poison"? Then "All You Wanna Do" from SIX: The Musical. They're both super-catchy pop songs about the dark topic of sexual abuse sung by characters associated with the colour pink. I watched the Hazbin Hotel pilot for the first time on the same weekend I went to see SIX: The Musical, so that's a neat coincidence!
Favourite picture of them:

Brother's Keeper AU:
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How did Caleb live so long? How can he still be here after 400 years?
A: Belos wanted him to stick around and so he made it happen. As for specifics: *shrugs* your guess is as good as mine! This is something I've preferred to leave up to the readers. I will simply confirm that he isn't hiding any goop powers or OP palisman-given magical abilities. He is, for all intents and purposes, a regular human who is somehow really, really old.
Q: If Caleb is still alive, where did Hunter come from?
A: The full story here hasn't been told yet, but you may notice Caleb is missing quite a few bones...
Q: Caleb's ears are pointed! Did Belos cut them??
A: Correct
Q: Does Caleb know about the Collector/the basilisks/Belos' plans?
A: Probably! He's been Belos' sounding board for 400 years. Access to things that could "further corrupt him" or provide him a tool for escape, however, are off limits, so there are many things, like the Collector, that he's heard about but never seen for himself.
Q: Where's Flapjack/Amity/Darius/etc?
A: This is basically a canon divergence. If you haven't seen a particular character, it's safe to assume for now that they're up to whatever they were doing in canon.
Q: I don't get it. Why is Caleb insane?
A: I suggest you reread the first few story posts, my friend! You have fallen for Belos' lies.
Q: Do you have a posting schedule? When will the next part come out?
A: There is no posting schedule. I draw (mostly but not always) traditionally in my free time, for the fun of telling a cool story, and some posts are longer than others. That means the timing of the next post depends on how long it is, how much time I have, and whether or not I'm at home with access to my scanner. Sometimes this means I post quickly. Sometimes it means you'll see me next month. Sorry about that.
Just know that if I know there's going to be an extended wait, especially one where I'm not actively working on the next drawing, I will make an announcement about it. If you haven't seen an update in a while but I also haven't said anything, it's almost definitely because I'm actively chipping away at a part of the story that's taking me longer.
Q: Why do some of the story posts have a letter after the number? Are these less important than the regular story posts? Can I skip them?
A: No, I Do Not Recommend skipping them! They are just as important as the others. They have a letter on the end because they were added later and I use letters as a way to avoid renumbering everything. If you see story posts labeled something like "3, 3A, 4", they are meant to be read the same as you would if they were "3, 4, 5".
Q: Can I make art/fic/cosplay of this au?
A: Knock yourself out! If you post it somewhere, please include credit, but otherwise I don't mind, and actually love seeing what you do with it! If it's NSFW though, please keep it in appropriate spaces with proper warnings.
Q: Wait there's fic/fanart?? Can I see?
A: If you look through the tag on my blog "BK fridge gallery" you can browse any content shared with me that I've reblogged. :) People are free not to share it with me too though, and there are some I don't reblog, especially if its gorey or suggestive, so you might be able to find a bit more elsewhere under the Brother's Keeper AU name if you look for it.
You may also notice I have a featured tag called "BK Soundtrack." That's for songs that people have suggested to go with the AU. You are welcome to browse or suggest songs of your own ;)
Q: :( I sent an ask but you didn't answer. Did you get it?
A: Probably, yes. Sometimes it takes me a few days to get to it. However, if it was theorizing about future plot points, I may actually be holding onto it with plans to answer at a more appropriate time. I like to keep many of my plans for the story close to the chest, so don't be surprised if your theory ask disappears only to show up many months later when the story has progressed to a point where I can give you a more in depth answer.

Second headcanon. This one got really long. Sorry not sorry.
Luz finding glyphs so easily while Belos took forever isn't because Monarch (King's dad) liked Luz or didn't like Belos.
It's because Luz actually likes the system, and Monarch has no power outside the In-Between.
Think about it:
Belos is a witch hunter who's been stuck in a world he hates, full of people he hates, and suffused by a system (magic) that he hates. He hates the Demon Realm so much that he spends the better part of 400 years plotting and enacting a genocide. That's dedication.
This guy would not want to go looking for magic, and he would most assuredly not enjoy using magic in any capacity. In Watching and Dreaming, he literally calls the Demon Realm "this perdition". You know, Hell.
Belos spent literal centuries becoming a mass murderer. This is not a sign of a happy person who likes where he is, and he's not going to devote his energy to figuring out a system he hates that much.
In contrast, Luz shows up and is so immediately enthralled that she asks to become a witch's apprentice the FIRST DAY she spends in the Boiling Isles. DAY 1.
This girl up and decides to drop her entire life back home to learn magic (from a wanted criminal no less!!), and we see her study it obsessively throughout the show. Luz thinks magic is a delight.
Luz doesn't need to be shown the glyphs because her passion for merely existing in the Demon Realm is more than enough to let her find the glyphs and figure out the magic system.
Additional evidence: in Any Sport in a Storm, Luz says part of the reason she loves the Good Witch Azura books is because of the "convoluted magic system"; in Thanks to Them in one of her video diary entries, she says she "can read and write Witch Tongue in five different dialects". This is a girl who loves magic as much as anyone can love a thing.
I also feel like it cheapens both Luz's and Belos' characters and arcs if Monarch was actively trying to help or hinder either of them. The show goes out of its way to shit on the Chosen One trope, and Luz getting active help from a god during the entire show would feel very Chosen One-y. Similarly, it's very in character for Belos to blame an external force (The Titan hiding glyphs from him) for Belos' personal failings (his inability to find glyphs) because Belos is a raging narcissist. Don't take that away from him!
Finally, we saw from Yesterday's Lie that the most you seem to be able to do from the In-Between is talk through reflections. If Monarch were able to do more than that, why would he not have? He's been dead for probably millions of years, because life had to evolve the ability to use magic while living on his body (Young Blood, Old Souls). There was plenty of time for him to try to do more if he were able to. He even says in Watching and Dreaming that he's "been stuck here for quite some time, but at least I can keep an eye on my child...". That doesn't sound like something you'd say if you had any influence over the physical world.
Clearly, yes, he could do more in that he gave Luz his powers and resurrected her, but that also killed him, so it was a single-use-only kind of move.
I think this covers it.
Yeah! I saw this art possibly from the show/cut materials of Philip chopping down plants to find the plant glyph (I haven't seen this in ages, I don't remember where it came from/ I can't verify it so I might guess it's fanart), where you realize that bc Philip's coming at this from a colonial approach and seeing everything as a threat to his way of life unless he can study it and Luz coming at this with awe and a love of a world she's in, it makes a lot of sense that it's easier for her to find glyphs.
I think it's the whole 'Slitherbeast doesn't attack unless you hurt it' thing, that's also true for the Selkidominus and the people of the Boiling Isles. They're all existing on the island and are welcoming to outsiders but when Philip starts chopping down plants and hurting people, the island and the people respond to that negatively and make it harder for him to find the glyphs.

Hello! My name is Moriah and I am a junior in high school. I was wondering if I might be able to get your insight on a few questions I have?
I am in my final years of high school and am starting to think about college but I have no idea what I want to pursue. I know I love art, so for a long time I have been thinking about getting an art major or going to an art school.
I’m reaching out because I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR ART and I think you are a very talented artist! I have been in love with your art for so long and I am curious and wondering how you are able to fit drawing into your life?
1.) If you are going to college for art, or went to college for art, what is it like? Do you think going to school for art or having an art major is worth it?
2.) how can I fit art into my everyday life? I’m sure you have work and other things to do in your life so how do you balance it out? (I just want to know how you can draw as much as you do!)
3.) do you do art as a hobby or a career? If it is a hobby how to you balance art, work/school, and home life? If it is a career or part-time career is it an alright source of income?
Thank you so much! And sorry if these questions might seem personal. I just want to know how other artist manage to draw and create their work and still have an adult life. Thanks again, and thank you for being a huge inspiration in my life to create the art I love! Your art means so much to me!❤️❤️ ❤️
i am going to CRY this is the sweetest message ever. i'm happy you found your niche and i'm even happier that i could help inspire that!!! i'm not sure if i'm gonna be able to answer all your questions, but i'll try to squeeze in some possibilities where i fall short:
1) growing up i definitely figured i was going to end up in art school because that's what everyone told me i should go into. but as i got older in high school i was kind of panicking cuz i really didn't want to turn my hobby into a job, and i figured out that i wanted to go into education!
but that's just me- my wife is actually going to college for graphic design sometime soon because she loves what she does. if it's something you really enjoy, and that you think you can monetize while still enjoying it, then it's definitely worth it! money is important but you need to put you and your happiness first.
2) to be honest, i haven't had the time or energy to do much art lately (if you look at my post dates you can see how spread out they've been the past year)- but this entirely depends on how you manage your time and your workload. i'm horrific at time management! so that's my problem. BUT, i think sneaking in drawing time in little ways helps a lot, as i tend to sketch small panels of a potential comic or animatic on notebooks and papers while i'm listening to lectures. i've even posted ms paint doodles i've drawn during class
i always have plans for what i'd like to draw once i have the time. it's kind of motivating, but also frustrating, and it's hard to efficiently empty my brain of ideas while still keeping up with everything else. this might be something you'll have to wiggle around once you get settled into a routine each semester!
3) i really wanted art to stay as a hobby for me. the idea of drawing and creating art every day for things i wasn't inspired to do made me really nervous, because what i really wanted was to make fanart and draw my little guys all day lol
if you take anything away from this, i think the most important thing is that if you want to keep art in your life, you will. if you desire having time to make art just for yourself, you'll find time to work that into your life, one way or another- but in order to do that you absolutely need to have a positive mindset about what you're going into, and if you can't find that positivity, maybe it isn't for you
thank you for asking!!! i'm not sure if this'll be any help, but i appreciate the questions <:')

So despite being an anime only that braves the paths of tumblr, I haven't been spoiled for anything big for Spy x Family… but that could very likely be because I'm guessing there isn't something big that has happened yet. By big I mean identity reveals, a character dying, twiyor kissing, idk, there's a lot of things that could happen and make the fandom change the way they speak and refer to the story.
But as I have been spoiled for a few things, I know that chapter 100 is a little around the corner, and with it being a big and important number, I don't doubt something big might happen in it. Honestly my guess is an accidental/impulsive twiyor kiss that just shakes them both and makes things more awkward because it would make Loid realize he has feelings and because of that he cannot pursue a relationship with Yor because it would be taking advantage of her, but really, it could be anything.
So with that in mind, I will actually have to take bigger measures. I blocked any spoiler tags from the beginning, but with the possibility of bigger spoilers coming, I'll have to filter any and all tags related to sxf. Ranging from main tags to character and ship tags.
I mean, I already wasn't seeing much. I wasn't visiting the tags, but now and then tumblr suggested posts from the tags and I would see a tidbit of a spoiler. But now I won't be able to see anything and it will really be me screaming into the void and the DMs of a few pals who know to be careful and not mention any spoilers.
That said, this might make me feel even more isolated, so I openly encourage people to send me fanart, memes, metas, gifsets, anything they find interesting and are sure don't include any spoilers. There's a bit of a hesitation, though, because when I first joined a discord server which I then left due to, you guessed it, spoilers, two different people suggested to me two different fanfics and said "Don't worry, they don't include any spoilers!" and what do you know, both included spoilers. I don't blame them since manga readers may have a harder time remembering what constitutes manga spoiler and what does not, especially if it's from a much older chapter, but it still made me very hesitant to reach out to anyone about that.
I'm not pressuring anyone nor demanding from anyone to do this. Just saying that, if you find something that's interesting and doesn't include any spoilers, and if you care to spare the time to send it to me, I'd appreciate it.
Anyway, just letting y'all know, or anyone who cares, that I'm really closing myself off of the fandom. I might even have to train myself to not look at users' avatars anymore. I really don't want any big revelations to be spoiled for me in that manner.

Now that the prologue is done, I can't thank the fans of this series enough.
No, we haven't hit any particular follower milestone. The story has just begun. And most of you haven't given me any sort of financial support to help me out, either. (And that's alright! I haven't asked, lol.)
I'm thanking you for just being apart of the audience.
I started PB in a little blue notebook during the summer of 2015. It was originally meant for my eyes only. And a big part of the reason why was that, when I googled things like "Special Ed makes me feel bad," there wouldn't be much of anything coming up. There were Quora forums! A couple of YouTube videos. Articles here and there.
But it wasn't a lot. Not enough to help me out for long. And it only hammered the idea further into my head that I was alone in what I endured. As I got older, grew up, and away from the program and people who took my disabled youth, I constantly felt this urge to talk about it. What SpEd had put me through. What I'd lost. What I'd seen & heard. The things I did and didn't learn. Even though I was never a very open kid, let alone teenager.
I hated that no one was talking about it. And how nobody knew what happened to kids like me behind closed doors. At 13 and 14, almost none of the new friends I made had ever heard a life story like mine. And I've always found that wild: I had a LOT of friends! (Still do!)
So I kept drawing it out. Kept working on the story in notebooks, sketchbooks, my friends' DMs, and anywhere else words could go. Sometimes, my family would catch glimpses of the concept art. Sad sketches of Matthew crying, freaky drafts of Monster, or tense moments between what would become Class 7-C.
And one of my parents would be like, "Why is your art so depressing?" They'd roll their eyes. And they'd add on, "People's parents aren't gonna like it!"
No, I never told them what the story was about. I never even told them it was a children's media (because it kinda isn't! I'd personally put PB as 13+?) These were judgments made with just one glance at computer papers covered in pencil strokes; sketchy and shapey little kids who didn't look like they were having fun.
I knew they were wrong. But the audacity still pissed me off. There aren't many times where it's appropriate to boss somebody else around in how to tell their story, you know? Not only that, but I also worried about not having an audience back then. Sure, all my friends loved my work. But at the time, I was the only one who'd really experienced anything "Special Education" in life. Thus, these were General Ed kids watching it unfold. Able-bodied eyes and (as far as I knew back then) neurotypical minds, watching and learning from whatever I made.
And I liked that. But that wasn't the only group I wanted to be seen by. I wanted disabled people, especially youth in their teens and twenties, to see it. That's my primary audience. And shit like that made me wonder if I'd ever find it. Had me second-guessing myself a little, you know?
But I shook it off. It's like that thing teachers always say in class. "If you're confused or have a question, ask: whatever it is, you probably aren't the only one thinking it!"
And I searched for stuff like PAPERBOY, hadn't I? Yeah. I had. So by that logic, other people definitely would be, too.
So I stuck to my guns, and... check it! Y'all showed up!
One thing I've noticed ever since publishing part 1 is that the PB Nation is pretty damn devoted. You guys have been patient, passionate, silly, and unapologetically yourselves since the get-go. And the response to every old promotional comic or post I've made has been OVERWHELMINGLY positive and curious. I've gotten fucking fanart, man! More than once! I've had the honor of meeting a few of you in person already! And for the ones who haven't caught me out with my friends in New York, believe me, I REMEMBER who comments what.
By the way, you guys should spam my comments more. Fuckin' love that shit. SPEAK TO ME, lmao. Even if it's like, the most irrelevant PB question ever. Keyboard smash in my comment sections. Send me disability reels you like. Tell me what you wanna see from the story. Whatever, as long as it doesn't bleed into parasocial territory!
I've gotta have one of the best audiences out there. So thank you! For just... being around. Here's to hoping y'all enjoy the journey we're aboutta go on.

AI discourse ahead, and not anti-AI either
Honestly, I find the take that ai is not "creating" offensive.
The software isn't the one having the ideas. Even putting aside that I haven't once been able to generate an AI image that actually has what I want because I lose patience well before the hours it takes to actually make a generator do what I want it to... what even is creation?
Why are you buying into cultural elitism around art? Why does art require toil and effort (*coughcough Protestant cough*) or "a human touch" or whatever? Do you realize that you're repeating the exact same thing that was said about cameras (especially digital cameras) and photo-editing programs? Do you realize that you're buying into culturally christian ideas of either "pain" or "work" as virtue? Do you realize you're buying into ableist inspiration porn where people who truly can't use their hands to make art are expected to use their feet or mouths or only make the types of art their bodies are capable of making, regardless of what they actually want to create, have ideas for, or love to create?
What about AI makes it not creation, any more than photography or collage or fucking fanart or a dozen different types of modern art? Oh, wait, you pay lip service to those being art but you don't actually consider large swathes of those to be art, don't you? Is a casual selfie art? How much theory do you have to know, how good does something have to look, before it crosses the line from "a random photo" to art?
What happens if you automate different parts of the process. If you program a robot to hold and move the brush for you, but you tell it where to go (maybe by using eye movements) is it still creation? If you run a bunch of images cut out from magazines through a random number generator and then have the random number generator determine the images placement on sets of axes, is that creation? When does automation cross the line?
Even if you create the tools, does that not count? Is science in service of art not itself art? Is science not art at all? At what point is machinery no longer sculpture and programming no longer poetry.
Your worldview is limited and your beliefs are fundamentally reactionary.
My last reblog is of a video encouraging people to "make trash art". The message so many take from that is that art is about the process, not the endpoint. But I disagree that that's the true message. The point is, SOMETIMES the process is the point. SOMETIMES the art is the thing being done.
The thing is, the idea that art is about the journey, that it's about the experience, that the product is at most an important bonus? That's only useful insofar as it is used to combat the often capitalist and elitist ideas that a polished finished product is necessary.
Not everybody enjoys the process. There is no moral imperative to enjoy the process. If you see someone making art because they want a polished finished product and you say "then what's the point?", you're falling prey to the same logical fallacies and quite frankly, same elitism and unnecessary moralization that the trash art video was calling out (honestly, whether or not the creator would even agree with me).
It's elitism and moralism to insist that someone has to engage with art in a certain way or for a certain reason. It's elitism and moralism to insist that art requires a certain amount of technical knowledge, "hard work", or abstract "heart" or "soul" to be "real art".
AI art is real art. Learn to say "I don't like it". Learn to say "I have fundamental issues with the ethical implications of how AI is created" - and then maybe actually learn what machine learning generative image programs actually are and how they are created.
Learn that almost any attempt at legislating AI, due to the program's actual nature, threatens all kinds of derivative (including fanart!) and collage-based art, due to the fact that what AI does is in fact only loosely based in those things. Learn that it is an extremely simplified process as compared to human brains of attributing pixel arrangements in an image to keywords over and over, until it will reproduce certain color values in certain arrangements when prompted. Learn that the programs themselves don't even contain anything recognizable as the images used in the original data set, but rather "when input=dog, pixel 592=#000000 and pixel 1773=#F9E29C".
Learn that yarncrafting and textile creation already have been automated, and therefore can't be sold at cost of labor. Learn that the problem is not in fact that automation "steals jobs", but that we exist in a capitalist society that requires us as artists to use our art to generate capital in the first place, or else to suffer in poverty. Learn the first thing about the actual ethical issues in play. Learn that it's a fundamentally fascist take, and especially an ableist one, to define art by how much work goes into it, the enjoyment of the process, or any other arbitrary parameters.
Seeing so many supposed leftists be so damn reactionary and just... uncritical about this whole thing? It annoys me to hell and back, if you can excuse the culturally christian phrasing there, and honestly kind of scares me. It seems to me like it belies a larger underlying issue - that leftists are more concerned with arguments that sound nice but lack substance, have failed to recognize propaganda or analyze the arguments being presented to them, and want to verbally signal their moral-ness as a sort of shibboleth to gain social acceptance.
Aside from the ableism that this discourse has introduced into these spaces, I honestly think that AI discourse doesn't do that much harm - and this specific ableism itself is again only a symptom of a larger existing problem of ableism. People thought these things about disabled people and disability and "work ethic" and such already, even if they paid lip service to the idea of people having inherent value and (approved kinds of) accessibility being important.
But I've seen the harm those larger underlying attitudes have caused - in geopolitical discourse, in identity politics, in issues that are directly about people and only indirectly via how people interact with technology.
Seeing this discourse, I've suddenly understood how people in the past could treat technology that is now ubiquitous and treated as innocuous as somehow threatening the downfall of ... civilization, or art, or the creative process - degenerate, if you will. Not because I agree, but because it's no longer a "I can't understand because no one today would be irrational enough to do that!" I understand that people have always been people because they continue to be, in the most exasperating ways.
That's really at the heart of it. "It's not real art"... because it threatens "real artists". It could be the downfall of "art as income" when that shouldn't be necessary in the first place, and also the downfall of the authoritarian gatekeeping of art that allows for people incapable of putting in the prerequisite effort or intellect or whatever other arbitrary abstract quality you've decided makes "real" art. It allows for a sense of superiority based on the fact that you "worked harder, not smarter", that you didn't "stoop" to using the "easy, streamlined process", that you don't have to find your way out of your sunk cost fallacy and acknowledge that your engagement with art in that way is now a choice, not a requirement.
It allows you to convince yourself that your refusal to engage with AI image generators is one of morality, and not simply a fear that doing so will result in severe enduring social consequences and being locked out of engaging with art in other ways that you do enjoy - being made a pariah, though perhaps not in the way that the strawman "wealthy techbros" might mean it. If you admit to or are caught using AI - you might lose any chance of making income off your art, or access to artist spaces, and so on.
It also can be treated as a threat to "what art is", again, because it threatens existing hierarchical structures dependent on the idea that art requires certain qualities to be "genuine". Whether you draw the line at materials used, time spent, effort, enjoyment, or whatever else, it is the exact same viewpoint fundamentally that is used by elitist classists to reject all kinds of art.
You are more similar to those who call graffiti, rap (hm, both primarily black art styles) and even fanfiction as not real art. You are shaking hands with those who uphold a system in which many poor artists simply are exploited out of the time and energy they could have used to create masterworks, by agreeing that those things are necessary to make art in the first place.
Those blank canvases that are titled "take the money and run", the toilet on display in a museum, and so many similar cases - you are on the side of the people who claim that these aren't "real art". Sometimes those pieces even lack the exact qualities that you claim are necessary for "real art", and you're left scrambling because you either have to admit that what you decide is art is ENTIRELY arbitrary, come up with some cover about the "level" of human engagement that went into its creation while ignoring that a higher level of human engagement often has to go into wrestling image generators into submission, or ignore the cognitive dissonance and insist that you're right because you are.
Like I said, fundamentally reactionary, and fascist. Not calling AI art degenerate just means you're not admitting that's what you think it is. Why? Because that language is frowned upon and you might get someone shaking their head and clucking their tongue at you with not so much as a slap on the wrist? Because it's really about social standing and assimilation into existing social hierarchies, especially where they hold power over access to basic survival needs.
This is why I especially can't stand self-proclaimed anarchists doing this. Just admit that the label anarchist is in vogue in your subculture and that you haven't actually bothered to examine whether your ideals actually align with any of the sets of political and personal tenets of anarchism.
Idk. I'm so over it. Hopefully this will blow over sooner rather than later. Just because you don't call AI the "work of the devil" or if you're actually a little aware of ableism, the work of "narcissistic tech bro sociopaths" doesn't mean you're not treating capitalism like a pseudoreligious force instead of an actual structural system that can be broken down and resisted. Capitalism isn't Satan.
(Oh, and maybe evaluate why you avoid learning about AI in the first place as well. I'm not saying it is, but if it's worries about propaganda insidiously convincing you to abandon your morals or whatever, you might want to examine the fact that your views of nonfiction are puritanical in the exact same way you rightfully decry when it's in regard to fiction.)

Howdy hey, call me Skipp!
I'm relatively new to tumblr despite having an account for years. I was always a little scared of this platform, but now that I know more about how it works I've come to adore it!
I figured I should just clarify what my blog is like. This blog is far from currated! It is simply the dumping ground of my mind. This ranges from ocs, to fandoms, to random inner monologues put to text. The only truly cohesive thing about this blog would be the art. I love to do the art things and will post and repost it constantly! So the best way to navigate my blog for anything specific would be through the tags :)
With all that said, you weary travellers who are interested in my wears (fandoms), below the cut you will find a list of things that intrigue me.
Tales of Arcadia
my obsession with this series will come and go in intense waves but will never truly fade.
Percy Jackson/Rick Riordanverse
show reignited my adoration to intensities they definitely weren't before XD
Mystery Kids
I love this and all of the different possible iterations with other media as well. So much angst and fluff material too!
Secret Trio
I constantly remember and forget how much I love this au. Same as with Mystery Kids, I'm a sucker for all the different interpretations and inclusions of other media in this au.
Indie Horror Games (Sally Face, Slay the Princess, Fran Bow, etc)
This isn't, like, exclusive to horror exactly, but games of a similar vibe and nature to those are what I find myself liking the most!
Undertale/Deltarune
been a fan since it first came out and I don't think I'll ever really stop
TMNT
got into the fandom through Rise and, ever since, I have been making my way through the other shows slowly, one by one. Currently on 2003, which I've heard is collectively believed to be the best, and am very excited.
Also looking for any good Rise!Raph angst fics, so if you've got any suggestions lmk!
Flying Bark Productions (ROTTMNT, LMK, MOON GIRL)
I am an animation nerd and my current nerd obsession is everything this studio has made in the last, like, ten years! Everything they make is just so...ashsreuvbevui!
Detentionaire
I don't care if everyone else has moved on, because I haven't!
Unus Annus
Momento Mori. I'm always down to reminisce and grieve with those who were there. This channel had such a profound impact on me so I'm not sure I'll ever be able to truly forget it, but that's fine with me.
Grojband
I'm totally normal about this show that no one around me seems to even recall and have totally not made a hella angsty au about it to cope.
Fashion
Like a crow, I like pretty things. Fashion is one of those pretty things. I repost a lot of couture.
Sims
I repost a lot of cc on here not just for me, but for anyone who might find interest in it as well (it's definitely just for me).
PowerPuff Girls
While I oddly enough don't remember much of the show, I have always been pretty deep into the fandom. Been reading fics and fancomics since, like, the early 2010s and just never really left lol
Miraculous Ladybug
I can't escape this show! I love the fandom, it's great. Love all of the artists and aus and fanart, but I've fallen out of love with the show itself. I will watch every single episode, I just won't talk about it because that's not where my interest lies.
These are definitely not all of the fandoms I am or will be a part of but these are probably gonna be the ones you see the most of!

YOU WOULD??? OMG WHENEVER I SAY THAT I'M WRITING SHISUI/HIDAN PEOPLE ALWAYS SAY IT'S A TRASHY SHIP
Anyway. I don't actually know how well they could work in canon, but the idea for the fic is that Hidan has been around for a long, long time (in canon it's never said for how long he's been immortal iirc and I love potential immortality-based angst, also we never really see him use any chakra except for like, sticking to trees I think? So I like to think that he's been around from before the chakra people started to be born) and he used to be some sort of mercenary hired to kill people, and one day he was sent to take care of the army of a kingdom where Shisui (maybe I'll use some different name for this past version of him but I have yet to decide) was the ruler
Used to being unmatched in a fight, Hidan finds himself stopped by Shisui who is able to fight him somehow equally and so Hidan gets basically obsessed with Shisui and they eventually end up being lovers
One day Shisui, who knows will eventually die and leave Hidan alone, performs a ritual to link their souls together and make them soulmates, making Hidan promise he'll find him in every single one of his future lives (and I think I'll put some kind of soulmark on both of them as a result of the ritual to show that they're linked)
The main story takes place around the time the Uchiha coup should happen (with past memories sprinkled here and there once Shisui starts remembering his past lives) when Shisui meets Hidan during an ANBU mission and they fight since Hidan had been hired as a temporary mercenary/bodyguard to protect Shisui's target, however during the fight something happens (to be determined, I'm not super good with writing fights but I'll come up with something) that makes it so that Shisui's soulmark is revealed, after which Hidan refuses to fight him anymore
Shisui doesn't think much of it at first, but he starts meeting Hidan on every single mission after that first one (Hidan knows he can't exactly walk into Konoha, he's not stupid and I think I'll make him a bit less psycopath as well, so he waits until he sees Shisui leaving and then follows him, and since I'd put him as someone from before the chakra times he'd have no chakra for Shisui to sense him) and after a little while Shisui decides to confront him about it
I have a bit of a bullet point list after this (Hidan telling Shisui they're soulmates, Shisui not believing him, Shisui starting to have dreams/remember his past lives etc...) but that's as far as I got and it's, like, two chapters truly fully written? And that's it (because all the past stuff will be later on so I haven't actually written it as chapters yet)
It all started because I saw a fanart with Hidan and Shisui together (not romantically, they were just in the same picture) and my brain just couldn't stop thinking about them being actual lovers
I plan on making it a bit dark and go quite heavy on Hidan's romantic obsession with Shisui, and after Shisui will realize the truth I'll probably put in there some good Uchiha-obsession as well. Not on 'yandere' levels (I don't like the yandere cliché too much) but still enough to make it clear that their relationship isn't all roses and flowers (is that a saying in english? I just kinda translated a saying from my og language 🤣), they're both very unhinged and quite co-dependant with each other
And now that I talked about it with you I feel like I wanna go write more of it, so now I need to find the WIP...
Anon, look at me, right in the eyes: we are talking about fictional characters from the most ridiculous hair-brained series that has somehow gripped us all for donkey's years. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for how you're playing around with canon, it's all make believe anyway and we should be allowed to be as unhinged as we like haha
Have fun and screw the haters!
1) this whole idea is super cool!!! I'd love to see where you go with Hidan's religion and the morals of his human sacrifice and blood letting etc (there is a fascinating Sakura-centric fic out there where Sakura is converted to Jashinism, the author has some extremely interesting takes on the religion) and how it interlines with Shisui's own dubious morality within the bigger picture of Shinobi morals being fucked up like crazy to begin with...!
2) Shisui somehow beats Hidan and gets his interest? Ayyyy Hidan can't draw blood and kill him if he's not fast enough to catch him first~
3) toxic evil murder husbands... Nice, brings to mind-
Tumblr media
Hidan kills people for his homicidal religious zealousness... Shisui looks like a saint in comparison but that's just because he rewrites the minds of his opponents so no one even knows how bad he is (🙏🙏🙏 Shisui deserves to be a human monster, as a little treat 👉👈)
4) Also this has the potential for that whole "A fell first but B fell harder" dynamic because Hidan has been loving Shisui as a lifestyle for DECADES but Shisui gets bulldozed by memories and pitches headfirst into obsession after fighting Hidan's claims for a little too long... 😩
Thanks for sharing, Anon! And good luck with the WIP, if you do decide to continue!

<3 thank you so much for the wonderfully detailed answer, it cleared up a lot of doubts and i appreciate it so so much, even if i've come charging back in here so fast regardless-
i only really have two more questions for now (on the same topic) that i don't even know if i fully need to know the answers to but i wanted to ask anyway, if that's alright: 1. ... what does morax's non-archon-outfit (or simply, whatever ajax was borrowing) actually look like in this fic..? I did find a description of sorts for one but- I wasn't sure if it was comparable to any others you've drawn so far, and just... i don't like to assume? and i don't trust myself to try to work with anything new without solid references (especially if there would be Details, which i assume there would be at least. some. and besides, clothing just... in general... is always something of a struggle for me,,)? and 2. ... ajax's sleeping clothes, uh, what would those be like? i just... i can't imagine this particular kind of stuff in the slightest, so sorry to have to ask about every little detail for these, i simply have no idea or too little of one to work with,, (i know you probably know but it really is just the kind of thing which wouldn't be a problem if i were just to leave it at ✨reading the fic ✨ but no, of course art needs more details,,)
also with the whole tailor's clothes situation: i can imagine the frustration, even if for me it's merely a matter of curiosity and ordinarily i wouldn't even notice, but trust me. i know i would be absolutely annoyed with it if i was in your place. although i didn't manage to find anything to check if they had picked those up yet- uh, with the amount of stuff going on basically nonstop.... it's true they just haven't been able to catch a break so that kind of does justify it- it's been what, a month or a bit more? and they've had all that stuff going on? and they basically toppled celestia? that's some darn good progress for only a month. now if only all of them could sleep for a month straight to make up for whatever restless nights they had from it.
thank you and dw, i'm always happy to answer questions! glad the previous infodump helped hahah;;
again a cut to spare everyone else's dash
morax' non-canon outfits
think along the lines of what was shown in the guizhong reveal cutscene. but since menogias isn't old enough here to tailor clothes (nor did i give him that particular interest), then it isn't that outfit in specific. either an aproximation of that one, or simply more traditional chinese wear from like... your everyday xianxia/wuxia show. basically any fanart that depicts zhongli using traditional chinese wear would be my go-to for reference. i have to be honest in that i didn't think of one outfit in specific while i was writing, more of a hand-wavey 'this is the vibe' situation. i kinda wanted everyone to be able to have their own idea for what outfits morax (and by extension ajax) would wear pre-archon war. the only real set depictions i had in mind were- well, the colors. i wager morax would wear black to brown to amber and golden colors, and everything within that sort of gradient.
so basically any traditional chinese ouftit you can find in zhongli fanart would fit the bill. then just slap that onto ajax for what he borrows. the only major differences would be that ajax would forego any outermost layer of the outfit to avoid heatstroke lmao
2. sleeping clothes
more or less the same train of thought as morax' non-canon outfits. ajax would 100% sleep in boxers only in his original world, but because he's in new lands and would rather die than have guizhong or morax accidentally walk in on him all but butt-naked, he would probably take guizhong up on the offer of borrowed sleeping clothes (which would most likely be a set that morax would use if he slept at all in his human form)
i'm no expert in traditional chinese wear (or anything chinese for that matter), so i can't say for certain what would constitute a historically-accurate set of sleeping clothes of the vague era pre-archon war liyue is set in. so- uh. if you have a better take then by all means, but what i had in mind was, same as with morax' outfits, your standard xianxia/wuxia depiction of sleeping clothes. if my memory isn't failing me, it would be something like an undershirt and underpants? like pajamas but with a traditional chinese cut, if that makes any sense.
anyway uh- yeah
you can probably tell with this why i didn't sit down and try to figure out a more specific outfit;;
i hope that was at least somewhat helpful! at the end of the day my biggest suggestion would be to just go look at zhongli fanart, but like i said, specifically the ones where he's wearing traditional clothes.
good luck!

What i like making
Ok. It's a Sunday, it's snow-raining, I did exactly one (1) chore, so I want to sit down and thing about what...I'm missing in my art-making.
I've managed to get out of the rust phase--the tea shop I found that opens late has made it easier to just plug in and do the thing more regularly, without having to battle the big "getting set up" (and getting distracted) obstacle I usually face. And I've been mostly focusing on doing studies, which also makes it easy to slip into the same brain mode each time and just go. But I feel like, now that I've gotten some of that rust off, I want to be able to use this non-rusted state to start drawing the things I want to draw. The things I haven't had time for.
Only...I can't seem to remember what that is. I look back in my sketchbooks, and I don't find any unfinished threads that I feel compelled to pick up again. That is, I think, what I would usually do in the past--find something I want to redraw, or an idea I want to expand upon or grow, and continue to flesh it out and create iterations on it. But there aren't a lot of those things I feel like doing anymore, at least not right now.
So I'm sitting down today to try and...look at the things I created before and not necessarily find things I want to continue or iterate, but to analyze what I enjoyed in the past, so I can figure out where I can nudge and direct my art-making now to make it enjoyable again, but for present me, who is different in interest, situation, and capacity than past me.
~
The first thing I would say that has always been really helpful for me is my...I'm not sure what to call them, me-as-a-fish-person-processing-life-and-existential-dread comics? They're not comics, and sometimes I don't draw a fish person anymore, but I've been doing them since...I think college now. They kinda sit somewhere between doodling and journaling. I talked with my therapist recently about how even though I don't always enjoy the process of making one, having made one helps put distance between myself and a difficult experience, or give form to feelings I don't easily know how to describe so I either stuff them down or let them run rampant. It's also kind of a low-stakes way to experiment with sequential story-telling, the "how do I arrange this so it shows what I want to show, and creates the feeling I want to share?" which is a sort of problem-solving I enjoy. There's a couple of old memories that have bubbled up in the last few days that I think I would like to do this with.
And i really like drawing fanart of characters I want to see more of, and imagine more of. I think I haven't done this lately because I haven't really watched/read/played anything lately. I like seeing and redrawing moments that imagine particular moments with more animation-esque expressiveness and reactivity. I think I've wanted to do this with some of the Chinese costume dramas I've been watching, but so much of it (the costumes, the poses, the backgrounds) is out of my wheelhouse I'm not sure how to get there. I've done a few studies that I haven't really liked, but maybe if I sat down and set about focusing on learning these parts more conscientiously (so not just sitting down and drawing a scene and going "I am studying all the things in this scene by drawing it," but focused on fabric and the costumes for awhile, focused on poses and landscapes specific to this genre for awhile) it wouldn't feel like I was failing each time, completing the study but without actually learning how to do the thing in a transferable way.
I like doing fanart of like, dumb goofy shit too--I think that's one of the things I loved back when I was actively watching/drawing Critical Role stuff, just drawing goofy-ass shit that made me laugh to hear or imagine. There's been some moments when I'm watching a game or art streamer, and I've wanted to draw just a goofy moment or comment. I feel like when the content of the stream isn't fictional though (like with a dnd game), that might be..kind of weird? Idk. I worry about there being a sort of parasocial element to that. Maybe that's one I'll keep in a physical sketchbook, then. And you know, the more I think of it, it may sound weird to just like..draw quotes and moments from a stream but it's really similar to how I took notes during lectures all throughout school tbh--I'd either draw alongside my notes, or draw stuff to emphasize certain quotes or ideas, or little historical figures or authors saying the points. Huh. Can't believe I never made this connection before.
I want to play around more freely with color, find what sorts of vibes different color palettes bring. And i want to discover this through exploration, and not by looking at a bunch of premade palettes, necessarily. I was noodling around in a new sketchbook yesterday with some markers, and thinking of what color to use or add, and the question "what does this need?" came up in my head a lot as I was thinking. And there is a big swirling pot of colors in my head. And I think "well the color I've used here is light and pale and cool--let's keep the palette cool. I will go with a blue, because it's muted enough to look like a green in the shade. And if put this purple over it, this purple is a bit closer to crimson than blue, and is more vivid, so it will look nice for patterning but also give a bit of a vein/living organism vibe. The green at the top I want to feel different, because it's a fabric--so it's a very bright green, slightly warmer, and the purple or blue can be used to create some dark parts, the way a satin ribbon has some very shiny parts but also holds a very lush dark in shaded parts sometimes."
When I use a premade/predecided palette, I find I miss out on this fun brainstorming/breadcrumbing process of...figuring out what particular color I want to add next based on both what I've put down so far and what feeling I'm trying to evoke or material/substance I'm trying to portray.
I think...those are some good nuggets to start with for now.

🍓🪐🔪🦋🌸
🍓 ⇢ how did you get into writing fanfiction?
So, I've been writing stories since I was like 5, but I started out writing on deviantart. I was just reading at first and then I saw a dragonball fanart for goku x vegeta and I dm'ed the op and asked if I could write a fic for it and they said yes and that's kinda where it all started.
🪐 ⇢ name three good things going on in your life right now
I'm about to go home and see my parents and grandparents in a few weeks because I have a job interview back home, I'm currently growing sunflowers, and I'm about to publish my 150th Killer and Healer fic on ao3
🔪 ⇢ what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
Oh...literally anything pertaining to my master's degree. Literally wrote a whole paper about blood spatter so...there really isn't anything weird that I haven't researched...the joys of being a woman in stem and being in forensics. Even for like my own personal fics...if it's crime scene related or mafia related, you know I've done some fucking research

That everything is going to work out and that if it's meant to be, it'll happen. I've been really stressed about not being able to find a job but I've realized that me freaking out about that isn't going to help me get a job any faster. I have my degrees, I know what I'm capable and I just need someone to give me a chance (which is what I hope the job back home will give me)

I don't have any pets now, but I did have a dog named Ke'aka. He was my boy and I loved him so much

In Defense of Fandom (the website not the culture)
To start off, yes, I am biased. HOWEVER I think how good a specific piece of media's Fandom page is depends on the media. I genuinely don't think it's entirely fair to say "this site is inherently bad because sometimes information isn't accurate or the art isn't official art" because sometimes it's hard to find accurate information or official art.
Yes, support fan wikis where they exist -- for example, I much prefer using Nookipedia over the Animal Crossing Fandom page. But also, claiming Fandom.com wikis are inherently bad is just. Blatantly false? This goes for how user friendly the wiki is too actually. The reason I prefer Nookipedia over the Animal Crossing Fandom page is largely because of the user interface, but I also prefer the Forgotten Realms wiki over other fan wikis because I like the UI of the Forgotten Realms wiki.
We'll take the two I use the most as examples; the Ninjago wiki and the Forgotten Realms wiki.
Information on Ninjago isn't hard to find because the creators and writers for the show have an active social media presence, and the franchise itself is ongoing with plenty of places (both legal and not) to watch it. As a result, verifying the information isn't hard, and from my experience the information on the Ninjago wiki is pretty accurate. Additionally, all the art is screenshots from the show, art from official books, or from other official sources. I haven't come across any art or screenshots that isn't from an official source on the Ninjago wiki yet.
With the Forgotten Realms wiki, similarly to the Ninjago wiki, I haven't found any information that isn't verified, whether that be through sourcebooks, adventures, or something else. In fact I've been able to accurately verify everything myself by grabbing the D&D sourcebooks online and comparing information. The Forgotten Realms wiki has pretty accurate information. In addition to that, there's humor sprinkled into it (usually in image captions), which is something I absolutely love. Additionally, just like with the Ninjago wiki, any art is official and from the sourcebooks or commissioned by Wizards of the Coast (for example, the character art for the Honor Among Thieves characters). On the Forgotten Realms wiki, if there's a specific part of the lore that doesn't have a lot of information, it's still added to the wiki, but only verifiable information is added (which has some jokes on the page for Mordenkainen's arcane seal).
With a lot of other media, it can be incredibly hard to verify information. For example, with the Sonic fandom, it can be incredibly hard to determine what's canon vs fanon, which leads to confusion about things like character birthdays. That I'm aware of, Sonic is the only character with a canon birthday in the Sonic franchise, but because of how the Sonic fandom is, that's not exactly the most common of knowledge, at least from what I've seen. Also with the Sonic fandom, some people are so good at mimicking Sonic art styles that it can be genuinely hard to distinguish between fanart and official art.
In addition I have seen so many fanfiction writers for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves mention that they used the Forgotten Realms wiki as a reference for specific aspects of lore, which is something I can't blame them for because the Forgotten Realms wiki is fucking thorough. In fact, and this is something I can't stress enough, the Forgotten Realms wiki's thoroughness and the lighthearted jokes on some of the specific pages makes the Forgotten Realms wiki one of my favorite wikis of all time. The fact that from what I've seen it only uses verifiable facts from official sources (by which I mean it has tons of pages but a fair amount of them feel incomplete due to a lack of verifiable information) just makes it even better.
Call out bad Fandom.com pages when you find them, sure, but don't act like they're all bad because of a few bad apples. The references and footnotes are there for a reason, and whether or not a Fandom.com page is bad is going to depend heavily on the media and the fandom because Fandom.com is LITERALLY just a website that hosts wikis. It's quite basically Wix for fandom wikis, and acting like changing the site the information is hosted on is going to change anything is just lying to yourself.
