In light of the announcement of Trigun Stargaze a while back, here’s art of something I’d thought of on how Knives’ remains being found after Lost July could differ in the anime compared to the manga where instead of being found in the crater that used to be Julai or near it he’s found floating around a little outside of NML’s atmosphere which seems pretty plausible given that Conrad and co took off in a ufo and, at least to me, he didn’t give the impression of falling back to NML like Vash did, if anything his body seemed to have been pushed back further into space by the force of Vash’s void arm.

Doctow Who spoilers (and rant bc I'm really unhappy about it all, pls skip if you wanna see positivity!)
So in Wish World, we're introduced to Conrad's world being a dystopia that can never function, based on misogyny, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, patriarchy etc. A world flawed by design and presented as wrong. A world in which women stay home to take care of their children, who they are forced to have.
And in Reality War. on top of having Ruby saying Conrad's world could be worse and basically saying he has a good heart for doing what he did (jrjejfjzb). We get Belinda, the hardworking passionate woman who isn't scared to set boundaries, who didn't hesitate to fight in order to help strangers, who stood up for herself and defeated a toxic ex-boyfriend who wanted to marry her by force, the Belinda who so easily told the Doctor "No." and called him out on not respecting her boundaries....
We get that Belinda, but now it's actually a mother who, during the WHOLE EPISODE, does NOTHING ELSE than be worried about a child she was forced to have and never wanted? Then she's PUT INTO A BOX while the rest of the cast go save the day???? A BOX??? Is she even the Doctor's companion or who is it at that point? (It's just Ruby, again.)
Even the Doctor doesn't take the time anymore to properly tell her what's happening, she's just left there with Poppy, useless to the plot, vaguely confused and still feeling exactly like when she was in the wish world.
So now her maternal side is so strong that she will do everything to protect her daughter, she will never let anything happen to her- oh nevermind. She totally forgets her existence when she disappears. What was that about the littles pieces of memories the Doctor talked about at the beginning? Why is RUBY remembering Poppy, and not her own mother who's been so devoted for 2 episodes?? This would've been a nice opportunity for Belinda to actually be important in the plot here, but no. She's passively waiting for stuff to happen. How can you write this for your character, especially when she's the co-lead, seriously.
At some point, I wondered if we'd been voluntarily tricked and if Belinda actually having a child and needing to get back home for her was the original reality, and the Doctor and us viewers saw the regular season as the rewritten reality. Because Belinda DOES see Poppy in the Story Engine episode, and there's no reason for her to see her unless she's already her daughter. But that still wouldn't explain how the baby is also space baby Poppy and what she's doing in those times and places, unless it's another of her descendants, which means this whole wish baby universe is the original from the beginning.
But even with that theory, even if the Belinda we've been seeing from episode 1 is not the OG Belinda, the problem stays the same: the character got fully rewritten to be barely more than A Mother, her whole motivation, which was work, is now her daughter, and she's still utterly useless to the plot in the entire finale (and some episodes before that already).
Made me so uneasy watching it all.

jere doesn’t deserve (all of) the hate he gets
alright, can i just say that although i didn’t read past the first book, i have read TONS of comments and justifications and explanations as to why people think Conrad is better than Jere. That is completely subjective, I get it.
But why are people invalidating Jere’s right to be angry? Literally??? Like, bro, I get you have favs but are u really telling me that the guy can’t even be upset at Belly for what she did to him?
Some people are literally saying how manipulate he was for bringing up his dying mother, and how Conrad was probably gonna break her heart. First, he found out way later than he should have, which gave him less time to process it. Yet, what did he do? Immediately help Beck through it. Second, was he wrong LMAO. He’s seen it happen over and over again with his own feelings for Belly, but never said anything because he knew Belly and Conrad were something of an unbreakable bond. Third, she literally kissed his brother 3 days after an already established relation/situationship with Belly. You’re telling me he was in the wrong here while Conrad was in the grey area that allowed him some sort of immunity for his actions??
Now, let’s move on to whether or not Jere loved Belly before or after she turned prettier. I’m sorry, but Conrad also said that he always saw her as a little kid/sister or some shit as well. Jere said that she was always his best friend. They BOTH found new feelings for her, because that’s literally just how teenagers work. If you want childhood friends to lovers, then you have to expect a switch from FRIENDSHIP to LOVE at some point- and neither of them experienced it BECAUSE she was prettier, but because she was more than just a little kid then.
“No, he was forced to stay with her in that flashback”. YEAH, then he stayed a week more until HE got sick??? I’m not even gonna explicitly detail all the times he’s also backed her up, supported her, been her best friend. The fact that he let her love Conrad was enough proof that he did love her enough to let her go.
Please don’t bring up the books again, because to use reasons from the story’s “future” when the present is still being played out is just bs. We don’t even know what could happen by the end of it all, what with Jenny Han changing loads of details. Was Steven and Shayla/Taylor in the books? No. Was Skye, an extremely annoying hindrance, in the books? No. Was Conrad and Belly doing it for her first time by the fireplace in the books? No.
And I can’t even begin to describe how frustrating it is to see people literally ignore the scene where Conrad visits the house. Like how tf are you just going to let that slide IM CACKLING. Jere, at the table stressing over bills during his senior year. Conrad, appearing out of nowhere to pay a very friendly visit. And, pray tell, what does Conrad do? He performs a confession of his love to his younger brother who he knows had/s feelings for Belly, when Jere was probably thinking he’d rather accept help with the insurance instead. Then off Conrad goes to see his mother without another word, after getting what he wanted.
And also, can I just say how BAD Conrad’s communication skills are? Like fr, my dude had to carry news of Beck’s cancer all on his own. But to me, you don’t lash out at other people and lead two girls on at once because of something you can’t even explain your behaviour for. Believe it or not, the way he acted like an asshole was a product of his inability to open up. And I get it, I totally do ‘cause I and ppl in general handle shit like that sometimes. But the miscommunication is what broke Belly, his brother, his friends, and Laurel multiple times in the first place. If you want to bring up Jere’s “manipulative” behaviour, then you’ll also have to address Conrad’s “misunderstood” behaviour, when it was really just him lashing out on everyone else.
Honestly, to me, Belly really was the problem. But I guess people find that a more provocative topic to accept. Idc who she ends up with, or who people think is better/best. I just went on this crazy rant because I truly think that it’s insane how people have managed to invalidate Jere’s feelings. This isn’t because I’m crazy about the show or the characters, but it’s because it does reflect on other people’s thought processes when they see the conflict of emotions between 3 people who should be listened to. Except that one of them isn’t being heard at all. Why? Because he cheated on her in the book no one knows is going to stay true within the show.
We all know that Jenny Han has made MAJOR plot changes and I am not gonna be dismissed just cause I didn’t read the books. I watched the series, and I am only commenting on what happens in the series. If people keep using this argument instead of the facts WITHIN the series, then maybe some rethinking needs to be done.

I am going to regret this so much but i am finally presenting the shittiest eltingville ocs ever
So. Uh. This is Rachel but she wants to be called Raven Way because of cringe reasons (i personally gave her that name specifically for the shitty harry potter fanfiction reference LMAO) basically the whole schtick of her character is that shes a poser and likes to fuck with bill by calling him "Silly Billy" and basically rage baiting him all the fucking time. She's my self insert, te-hee (i have a forever hungry desire of torturing bill with brainrot)
Tumblr media
She's was born in Illinois, with mexican parents and she is basically a geek in denial. Also you might ask "what's that thing that says in another club?" Well i was thinking of an emo club that parallels the main eltingville club but uhh i cant find an actual good name to give them. So have the "Mysterious club" for now okay.
Tumblr media
Oh yeah, second one, um, david.
Tumblr media
He's kinda like Orel from Moral Orel. Innocent and religious, he's kinda repressed too but in another way (🏳️‍🌈 *laughs gayly*)
His parents are strict with their religion as you can imagine so he doesnt celebrate things like halloween or let him play d&d or tattoos or "dark" music (emo, metal, rock etc) but he secretly kinda enjoys all of them... Except D&D because he has heard multiple times from his yard loud slurs from the sessions the club are constantly having (he's neighbours with Silly Billy)
Btw, undiagnosed autism 💯 im telling ye'
Have the relationship chart here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also made some rough Epilogue designs
Tumblr media
Also, David and Rachel are friends, i was just too lazy to draw it out. david was initially scared of her (because of that "devil" stuff he believed of when younger) but he eventually warmed up to her. Also, david always calls her "goth lady" for some reason.
Wait why tf do i say "some reason"? I make the reasons.... I SHOULD KNOW

Yeah... Yeah sure... Keep lying to yourself Conrad.

> conrad was good
> basically i liked everything untill the dr and belinda get taken to th3 rani
> idk ranis charecter that well but the dancingband the lovers fomment made me very uneasy and also like what. Thats the masters job
> maybe its more to do with how i see timelords and my experiences with gender but i felt it was so weird how they put so much emphsis on rani being a time lady not a time lord? Millions of years above humans petty obsession with gender and its associated steryotypes was not showing.

It was his fault, for thinking for a SECOND that he got to be happy again. His bad, really, for holding out an ounce of hope. Conrad was infinitely disgusted by the thought of Belly and Jeremiah being - - - romantic. He would honestly rather eat his own dirty shoes than have to witness that shit again. Letting out a shaky breath, he took a few steps back, his eyes glazing over a bit before he turned around. He didn't want her pity, he didn't want her fucking sympathy either. God! "Just fucking stop, okay?" He choked out, looking anywhere but at Belly. He knew that if he did make eye contact, that he would cry. Fuck these feelings. "I don't need water. I need - - ." What? Her to leave? She'd already done that, she had already RUN into Jeremiah's arms and he'd welcomed her, OBVIOUSLY, without a second thought. "Just leave, Belly." He would find another way home, somehow. . .
Tumblr media
Belly didn't know what to say or what to do. Did she feel guilty about this whole thing? Absolutely. But... did she regret what had just transpired between her and Jeremiah? No. Not even for a second. What had happened with Jere... it felt right. She felt safe, and secure, and completely and utterly protected with him. She had only ever had moments of that feeling with Conrad... and he always seemed to know just how to make them go away. Besides... Conrad had broken things off with her. He had told her she was a mistake. Belly couldn't get over that. No way.
But now here he was upset, and that she felt guilty about. "Conrad..." She moved a little closer to him, because she could see the struggle he was going through. "Hey. Breathe, Conrad. Just breathe." She knew it wasn't that easy, but what else could she say to help? "Do you need some water?"

Ok, hey guys, this entire account was gonna be dedicated to my Doctor Who AU but I literally have to talk about the season finale because what in the fresh hell was that
spoilers, obviously
RTD I'm literally in your walls
first of all, RTD has just proven he can't write complex women characters for shit. like TF you mean Belinda's entire character revolved around her being a mother?? Belinda, who was brave and independent and ready to sacrifice herself for people she didn't even know, Belinda, who loved and was scared by the doctor, who didn't take any of his BS, who was so obviously not into that creepy stars incel guy in her very first episode
is it not enough for her to just love her life? is it not enough for her to want to go home because she is a brilliant, kind, strong woman and nurse, who knows she can help people? why can't she just have not wanted to travel around space and time? why can all the concern she shares about her baby not just be concern for herself? her entire character is now watered down and ruined by the fact she's been doing it all for a baby, like WTF? are we still in conrad's world??
speaking of which, Ruby forgiving conrad and making him happy? when she had asked not ten minutes earlier if she could punch him?
in real life, I believe everyone should get the chance to learn and grow, but in fiction, we have the beautiful ability to make characters just BAD. and before and during this fuckass episode, that's what he was, just the worst. he was a misogynistic prick who made everyone in his wish world married with a kid, he's homophobic enough that brainwashed belinda called the authorities because the doctor said he liked a man, he is so closed minded that he couldn't even FATHOM the existence of Rose Noble because she was trans, his wish world had every disabled person cast out and forgotten on the streets!
that should not be forgiven, it just shouldn't. in a show that is so important to so many minorities, in which previous episodes in the season had disabled characters who's traits added to and were essential to the story in brilliantly clever ways, a man like that should not get to be happy!
I have so many more thoughts but I'm just gonna move onto the ending for now
I love Billie Piper so so much. Rose Tyler and her relationship with nine and Jack and mickey and ten, I loved it all. she was my first companion, and nine was my first doctor, and I loved them and I still do love them
but I hate this ending
controversially, I don't actually believe the doctor having the face of Rose Tyler undermines fourteen's storyline. his entire existence was based on the fact that the doctor had been through so much and needed to process it, needed to move on. the fifteenth doctor and his actions throughout the season show us that he is more open, he expresses himself more, he tells the truth more, but that he has not, in any way, moved on from anything
he is haunted by thoughts of his granddaughter, he tortures someone because they triggered his memories of gallifrey, he can't tell Ruby he loves her as she leaves him, and so much more
I think, bringing back an old face, especially one that has haunted the narrative for so long, is an epic way of showing all of that. but I don't think they did it well and I don't think they will do it well
the fact that fifteen has so few episodes is appalling, ncuti's portrayal of the doctor has been one of my favourites. so many of his stories seem unfinished. he never got to see Rogue or Susan again, his connection to the Rani wasn't explored at all - they didn't even have any actual conversation that wasn't so exposition heavy that emotion could actually leak through
and, I say again, RTD has proven he cannot write women characters. even if Billie Piper is only here for a few episodes, like many are suspecting she will be, I don't trust him to pull it off. and if she is here for the long run, her writing would have to be absolutely phenomenal for me to enjoy her, which is saying something because I really do love Billie Piper so much
I also find it so horrible that, just as the doctor's family is being brought up, just as we're properly discussing his parenthood and grandparenthood again, now she's a woman. just when we've been given a compelling, gay love story, now she's a woman. now that the future stories have been set up to discuss the Time Lords' infertility, now they make the doctor a woman
it just seems so... disingenuous? so lazy, so misogynistic, quite frankly
I think I can trust Billie Piper to act her absolute soul out of however many episodes she's in, but I do not trust these writers whatsoever
I have so much more to say, I'll probably repost a million other people that have made the same points I want to
this will still be a page for my AU, I'll make sure of it, especially considering I genuinely think I could be a better writer than any of the people that worked on this last episode
anyway, thanks for reading
