One thing I appreciate about G Gundam it’s illustrated that you can still make something look visually appealing without every scene be heavily shaded or shaded at all, a lot of weekly animes back then lacked shading but something about G just pulls it off- now I just wish I could figure out HOW to do that for my own art cause I hate shading 🤡

Imagine my shock when I read news similar to unreal low key wanting to do the same as unity. There’ll be a free version apparently for students and hobbyists, but what does that entail? Most of the time free version means a downgraded version with limited access to tools. I do use bridge functions like materials or metahuman scan for renders, studies and refs. I can imagine them making the first steps to make that exclusive stuff for usp reasons.

Need to read more into it when I got the time, but generally I feel like we go towards a way that makes it harder to learn as an 2D and 3D artist. It also hurts little studios trying to make a breakthrough in the industry. Everything artsy gets a paywall like damn.

look, i think sites having two-factor authentication is a good thing (or at least a necessary evil). however. when sites that i gave my phone number for 2FA want to send me a code INSTEAD of a password i want to do murder. you took the 2 out of the 2FA! you have my phone number for extra security and you removed the extra! i hate you

they say that there's a point where you can have too much security and it impedes the usability of a system—however i'd like to commend online banking platforms for somehow simultaneously having security measures that make them incredibly inconvenient to use every day, whilst also offering fairly low actual security and being not particularly difficult to bypass if you're dedicated enough
