/takes a little breath amidst a quiet dash. Starter call!
Though I have threads/asks to get to, I'm curious if one of these would catch anyone's attention. I know sending in sentence starters isn't always up everyone's alley and it's a little harder when it comes to interacting with a character who's canonically dead in present day, like mine. Although (I need to write up the details for the first iteration of it) I do have her resurrected in a present timeline (see tags). If you're interested in me either coming to you, or fishing up something with a bit of a red line, give this a like and I'll see what I can do! Trust me when I say, if we're mutuals, I'm interested in writing with you. See this as a little cheat to grab my attention if you want it!
#[ so i've simply been dying to get her in a modern setting /without/ changing the course of events. ]#[ so while i need to refine the details and the circumstances may differ down the line-- it won't affect interact with most of you-- ]#[ as i heavily tie guizhong to the moon/night due to too many references to it in her attire and symbolisms alike... ]#[ and also to the chasm and its origins-- that's a whole other hc. ]#[ i've decided the first iteration of resurrecting her to simply be based within the concept that the gods never quite die... ]#[ because the elements that they're tied to never do either. they're not 'personifications' by any means-- but they're a part of. ]#[ they can manifest into a corporeal form and in the same way; that form can be broken and destroyed. ]#[ and it weakens them immensely; a much more severe form of osial being 'restrained'/locked away for thousands of years. ]#[ i envision that they can't simply reform. but they could over-time. or at least when 'stars align' of sorts. ]#[ when their element is at its strongest and can gather elemental energy from /somewhere/. ]#[ so /after/ the events of the game thus far-- during moonchase; on the night when the moon is at its fullest... ]#[ and at its apex. it's shining less brightly than it normally is-- and it's because it's being used as a battery of sorts. ]#[ you know all of the dust above cuejiue slope? that cloud of dust moves towards the cliff by the harbor-- by that sole glaze lily. ]#[ and dust from across liyue and possibly even teyvat-- slowly gathers. it would look like a shadow from afar. ]#[ and it gathers and along with the energy that the moon supplies that night; when everything falls into place... ]#[ it allows her to regain her corporeal form as it existed prior. ]#[ this is after 'rex lapis' has stepped down and retreats from his position as archon of liyue. ]#[ she doesn't step in by any means whatsoever-- her re-manifestation is actually (in my verse) witnessed by him from afar. ]#[ and then witnesses it up close as she finally forms after a long time of this process. ]#[ she wouldn't go by 'guizhong' except by adepti who remember; but she might go by haagentus. at least initially. ]#[ /breathes. hi. hello. i'm sae and i'm a mess of an individual-- pls come here and don't leave me despite it. ]#[ ooc. ] wherever her spirit may be among the countless grains of sand and specks of dust between the harbor and the mountains…

"You know, Zhongli, before we got married, I used to fantasize about you quite a bit!"
"Is that so?" Zhongli kisses your forehead, a small smile on his face. "Tell me about these fantasies, my love, and then I shall tell you mine as well."
You grin. "I used to dream of being sold to Rex Lapis by my mother so she could pay off her debts!" Zhongli pales; you continue cheekily, "Sometimes I'd swap the selling part for being kidnapped by Rex Lapis, hehe. In either scenario I'd resist you at first, but your alluring and mysterious charms would pull me in, and you'd reveal to me in a heated moment that you were not just a god but also an alpha mafia boss who'd fallen in love with me the moment you had seen me put my hair in a messy bun!"
The god is too stunned to speak.
"And while you're marking me at night as dragons do, you'd also reveal that you're a vampire and an incubus who needs to breed me whilst drinking my blood! And also you'd growl huskily at all your rivals if they tried to touch me, immediately killing them all so we live happily ever after!" You wiggle proudly. "So what about yours?"
Zhongli gulps. "Ah...mine involved holding you close and feeding you sweets in a field of flowers and singing birds."

Could I request Zhongli reuniting with his wife after the two had a falling out 500 years ago?
crushed cor lapis.
↳ zhongli × gn!immortal!artist!reader
↳ part one, part two
↳ genre: soft angst at the beginning, but it's mostly bittersweet | wordcount: 1.6k | warnings: none
↳ notes: i ended up with less angst than i thought i would have. but i did want to explore the thought of time passage and fighting for people who are going to live forever, even if it's subtle; reader is immortal and implied to be an adeptus or a god, but the kind isn't very important; ive had an idea for zhongli and an artist reader for a long time so i tried to combine it i hope you don't mind; as with the gender. i did write with a fem!reader in mind as per the request but in the end, the gender didn't need to be specified for anything so i left it gender neutral; i tried to give reader a more divine disposition about them so the writing ended up really flowery, but in any case i hope you enjoy! i really did have fun writing this one

You were a painter.
In your old life, as you liked to call it, however, you were a god. Your domain of influence laid in artistry and beauty.
Or rather, that was what Morax used to tell you. Archons like him were the only beings in Teyvat with real domains of influence. But you wouldn't really stop him if that was his way of calling you pretty.
That was about five hundred years ago. Nowadays was a very different story.
You crushed the yellow berries in your mortar and pestle to turn into paint for tomorrow's commission.
You liked your job in Liyue Harbor. As quaint and.. human as it was, you thought there was divinity to be found in the painstaking recreation of the things around you. Though a painting couldn't rival a Kamera in terms of accuracy, you were certain it completely surpassed the device in most other things.
You slowed your movements, surveying the consistency of the paint and the color. That would probably do. You'd collected quite a lot, so you supposed it was time to head back. All you were really lacking earlier was yellow.
And so you trekked on home from the terraces, skipping over stumps of cor lapis and sunset-painted grass along your way.
As you finally reached your home in the harbor, the sun had fully gone down. The lanterns lit, casting the entire city in a soft, warm glow. The neighboring waters reflected the deep blue of the sky and the speckles of rust and gold adorning every building in sight.
You opened your door and you thought of Morax, wondering if he knew five hundred years ago what beauty would settle upon his previously war torn nation. Leaning on the doorframe, you watched over it for a while. Children playing, kites flying, dinner being prepared, laughter and joy running amok.
You don't like to think about him too much, or how his silence is present in every part of the city that was all him, despite having nothing to do with him any longer. No matter how much time had passed, you seemed stuck in the first night he decided not to apologize.
Still, five hundred years was a long time. Although it felt like the blink of an eye, even immortals had to move on eventually.
You gathered your materials inside and closed the door behind you.
The mountains may erode, but they will always be mountains.
You recalled his own words as you saw him again for the first time in five hundred years.
A human-sized Rex Lapis stood before you, hands behind his back, dressed to the nines, pristine, and put together, and perfect, and not at all like he ought to have seemed like at your first meeting in several centuries. Though at the very same time, you couldn't imagine him looking any other way.
You bitterly savored the way he avoided your eyes in front of his boss.
"So this is him!" She said. The lively Director Hu Tao of the local funeral parlor was Rex Lapis's boss. You tried not to laugh. "Our new consultant, Mr. Zhongli."
You set your canvas down onto its easel, then the bulk of your dyes and paints on the floor. You did this without averting your eyes, as if trying to burn him if he ever had the nerve to look back at you.
He did not. And to her credit, it seemed Hu Tao noticed it as well. So as not to make your client too uncomfortable, you decided to take a step towards them.
"Mr. Zhongli." You said. With the proximity you put between you, he had no choice but to look back at you. Not a lot changed about him in human form, but by far, his eyes were the most the same. Down to the hard, intense stare, and the set of his brows. You wondered how many other people in Liyue he'd enchanted with them while he was busy avoiding you.
"Mr. Zhongli?" You repeated, a little less amused. Though you somewhat enjoyed how stupefied he looked at your appearance, you'd endured his silence long enough. "My name is Y/N. It's an honor to meet you here."
This seemed to regain him his senses. That, or Hu Tao's suspicious back and forth glances between the two of you.
Zhongli cleared his throat.
"..The honor is mine."
Hu Tao nodded, seeming satisfied for now. She clapped her hands together in excitement, turning to you.
"Alright! I suppose I'll leave you to it then. I have complete faith that you'll be able to depict the poise and elegance of my esteemed consultant."
You gave her your best half smile.
"Well, I'll try."
"No need to be modest! I've seen your work before. You're one of, if not the best, painter in Liyue. Just ask Mr. Zhongli! He's been very taken with your paintings even before we first met. He speaks very highly of you."
You crossed your arms. "You don't say?"
Five hundred years or the blink of an eye, you could still see his embarrassment without him having to say a word.
Director Hu Tao had business to take care of for the funeral parlor, and so left with a flourish, and a "Make sure to get his good side!" as she ran off.
You both continued to speak as civilians for a little while. He sat down at a table on the porch, a steaming pot of tea on said table between you. Your face was obscured to him through the thick white canvas.
Avoiding conversation was easy, but not. Comfortable, but not. Natural, but not. It shouldn't have been. As such was the nature of a marriage to the Geo Archon, you supposed. Or rather, the current lack thereof. But even that was up in airs.
"How.. How have you been?"
Your responding glare was unseen to him, but he heard it in the vitreous tone of your reply.
"Fine." You said. "Something must've happened to you though. Your eloquence seems to have disappeared into thin air."
"..You are still upset. I see."
"In what world would I be upset, Mr. Zhongli?" Your use of his mortal name created a crease in his brow. You gently brushed over it on his painting.
"I didn't think you'd want to see me."
"You still could've asked." You muttered, momentarily leaning sideways to look him in the eye. "For someone so revered for his wisdom, your brain still seems to be as hard as rocks."
You caught his surprised expression as you turned back to the canvas. You didn't allow him another word.
"Honestly, who ghosts their own spouse after an argument like that? You'd think the best time would be after.. five hours. Five days. Maybe five weeks after. Not five centuries—"
You caught him mumble, "Well, it's not as if you tried to talk to me either."
"I didn't think I needed to. You made it very clear you wanted me to leave you to die in the Archon War all on your heroic lonesome."
When he didn't respond, you snuck a glance.
The sun's rays were at the precipice of turning gold in its descent into the sea. The glow smeared his porcelain cheeks in amber, his eyes in glitter, the metallic components of his suit in light. He looked like a monument. Tall, statuesque, and lonely. Almost like his mountainous true form. More beautiful than even his numerous statues across Liyue could capture. More than you could capture. Though you did certainly try.
Annoyed and angrily pining as you were, you still tried to get his eyes right. The little flecks of rust against gold. Like cuts of cor lapis crushed to shimmering powder in the Archon's hand. A man of his own making.
You looked at Zhongli as the golden hour faded, slowly turning dusky pink. His eyes swam in wistfulness as he stared out at the harbor. You couldn't help the dull twinge of sorrow deep in the pit of your stomach.
"I'm sorry."
"I'm sorry."
You didn't know how to follow up. You weren't entirely sure what you were apologizing for. But it felt nice to hear it back from him.
When he finally looked back at you, you were tracing the rich scarlet of his eyeliner onto the canvas.
At some point, he turned on the lamp and set it down beside you while you worked on the finishing touches.
"You're better than I remember." He whispered like he thought you couldn't hear him.
You weren't sure what to say to that either. You just kept painting.
"This doesn't change anything. I'm still angry with you."
"Of course."
Zhongli never seemed to run out of tea. Despite not having brewed a new pot throughout your stay, the one on the table continued to steam, its aroma wafting leisurely throughout the room. When he offered you a cup after you left the canvas out to dry, you let yourself take it. You allowed him a calmer response when he spoke.
"This may upset you a bit more, but I am also somewhat bothered you never tried to talk to me."
"So we are at an impasse."
Of course, it did occur to you that you were both being hardheaded and moronic. But you were comforted by a few things.
"It would seem so." Zhongli nodded.
"Or maybe not." You quipped, glancing pointedly at an old painting on the wall. "You seem to have been stalking me, Mr. Zhongli."
"I think stalking might be a slight exaggeration."
"Oh, really."
Even as the mountains erode over the centuries, from the dust, they are fated to reform anew.

What if for a sagau the creator (that got isekai'd) assumes they're the imposter because their blood isn't gold and kids keep running away from them
Just imagine the KoF or people from mond being so confused to why their creator is so on gaurd when they see them and runs away.
I definetly feel like it has to be one of the archons that somehow convince the creator that they won't do any harm to them
Note: Anon I got carried away with this and I am so sorry 💀 Reader is the Creator even though they don’t believe it. (at first)
Tumblr media
All of the nations have their own protocols in place for your unexpected arrival in Teyvat.
No matter who finds you, they will be aware of what to do, even children.
All of the nations follow these three basic rules when it comes to you:
One: Approaching you and making sure that you are okay. They will also welcome you back to Teyvat.
Two: If you allow it, they will guide you back to the city of the nation you’re in. If you don’t, they’ll return themselves and inform whoever is in charge of your arrival.
Three: Notifying the other nations of your arrival.
This last rule may not be followed, it’s hard for them to control their selfish desires, they want to keep you to themselves for a little while!
However these rules are only followed by a majority of people, there a a few outliers. For example, the other nations do not want your first destination to be Snezhnaya. There’s no telling just how long they would keep it a secret, and their mind could only wander to the darkest scenarios if Their Grace was stuck in the grasp of the Fatui for too long.
When the Adepti made their contracts with Rex Lapis, within the contract was what they should do if you arrive. Even to this day, the Adepti will honor it even though Morax was no longer ruling.
The Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island also has her own idea on how to handle your arrival. Unlike everyone else, she used her incredible strategizing skills to prepare for any possibility that could happen once you arrive.
If the Abyss find you first… well all I can say is you don’t have to worry about them hurting you.
-
So back to your request.
The Knights of Favonius are confused why you kept running away, anytime they got close to you. Did you see them as threatening? They were trying their best to make you feel welcome in their nation but your terrified face anytime they came into view broke their hearts.
Albedo and Lisa would try and form a strategy to get close enough to you to talk to you. Venti would use his connection to the winds to find out where you are going.
Unbeknownst to them, you had accidentally cut yourself during your abrupt arrival and noticed… well nothing! Your blood was just as normal as it was before. That would’ve been fine if people didn’t try to walk up to you calling you their Creator and crying tears of joy because you returned.
You had read too many fanfics about the scenario and not having golden blood would only lead to bad things for you.
So you began running.
Once you had saw Klee, the most adorable in the Knights of Favonius, you knew that asking her for any information would be for the best. You couldn’t imagine a sweet girl like her causing you any harm.
But once she made eye contact with you she ran away. This only solidified in your mind that going to the city would be too dangerous for you. Especially if they find out about your blood.
(However Klee was just running away because Jean had told her to get an adult if she happens to run into you.)
The game of cat and mouse goes on for a while, but you were exhausted and couldn’t run away any longer. It wasn’t even just people of Mondstadt trying to find you anymore, there were other skilled fighters you recognized from other nations also trying to find you as well.
It made your blood run cold to think what they would do once they actually catch you.
“Your Grace! There you are!”
You let out a yelp quickly turning around to face the person who was talking to you, even though you recognized their voice.
Venti was breathing heavily as he gives you a small smile, behind him was Ei and Nahida.
This wasn’t good, you were surrounded by three Archons. You didn’t even want to think where Zhongli could be.
“Please don’t run away your Grace,” Ei says softly her face full of emotion. “We only want to help you.”
You try and take a step but your back hits the cold rock of the cliff above you, you truly were trapped.
Venti and Ei drop their weapons on the floor kneeling, Nahida does the same but she has no weapon to drop.
“We apologize if we have done anything to offend you Your Eminence,” Nahida begins her gaze on the ground, “you have been running away from us for weeks now, please allow us to tend to your needs.”
You try to ignore the pain in your body and how your mucky clothes stuck to your skin, you couldn’t let your guard down. They were just waiting for the perfect time to strike.
“Why are you calling me that, I’m not who you think I am.”
The three Archons exchange glances then look at you. “Umm forgive me for asking, but what do you mean you’re not who we think you are?” Venti asks.
You show the cut that was on your hand, it was lazily wrapped in a cloth that was also covered in dirt. A constant stinging could be felt in your palm, you knew that if you didn’t treat it soon, the wound would definitely get infected.
Once they see your wound, they immediately jump up and try to run to your side but the look on your face tells them they should stay right where they’re at.
“Your hurt!” Ei stammers, “please let us take you to a healer!”
You quickly shake your head, “I’m not the Creator! My blood…” you unravel the cloth revealing the dried up blood in your palm, “it’s red.”
It falls silent for a moment.
“Is there something wrong with that Your Grace?” Nahida says softly, “is it supposed to be something else?”
You hesitate, “isn’t it supposed to be gold?”
The Archons never expected you to ask something like this. Was this the reason you were running away? Did you believe you were some kind of imposter?
“Your Grace,” Venti says, bringing a hand up to his chest, “I’m not sure what you’re talking about, but we would recognize your aura anywhere. We are your most devoted. Will you please let us help you?”
His words were convincing, and their faces left no room for speculation. Not to mention, the God of Wisdom was here trying to convince you as well, maybe you should listen to them.
You take a small step forward, “you promise not to hurt me?”
The three shake their heads quickly, “we would never lay a hand on you Your Grace…”
Ei was the first at your side offering to carry you to Mondstadt, Venti pouted at her words saying that he could carry you too.
“It should be me carrying them Barbatos, I’m the tallest one. I can carry Their Grace with ease.” She reasons.
The Anemo Archon didn’t want to seem childish in front of you but he still wanted to argue his reasoning. “I’m the oldest Archon here, it should be me.”
Nahida sighs holding her small hand out to you, “I’m not sure why they are fighting when you are capable of walking… I‘ll lead you to Mondstadt.”
You take her hand letting her lead you through the grassy fields. Ei and Venti, quickly pick up their weapons to join the two of you.

Them with a reader that worships another Archon
characters: Venti / Zhongli / Ei / Furina x gn!reader (separate)
warnings: none
a/n: Didn't write for Ei in a long time... not to mention Zhongli and Venti, so if I got some of their personality traits wrong, I'm sorry.
Anyway, hope you enjoy!
Venti
“Let’s hope you’re not made out of sugar, or else we’re gonna have a tiny problem”, the Bard joked once he took a glance out of the window, the heavy rain and thunder that had come seemingly out of nowhere difficult to notice, even for the drunken inhabitants of Angel’s Share.
“Rain’s a nuisance at best, I’ll be fine”, your response lacked any signs of the usual annoyance people would feel in this situation, whether it was the alcohol or your attitude towards rain that made you seem almost relaxed was up for debate however.
Just as the words had left your mouth, a giant lightning caused the room to light up, soon followed by a deafening thunder, earning you a grin that spoke more than a thousand words. “Still only a nuisance?”
“Sure, the Raiden Shogun will protect me from the lightning”, came your dry response, causing the bard’s ears to perk up. Truth be told, he couldn’t care less about whatever god you were worshiping, forcing people’s hands or getting grumpy over their decisions was hardly the God of Freedom’s modus operandi. Although this did open up a whole new conversation topic.
“Want me to pass your mighty Raiden Shogun a message the next time I see her?”, Venti offered with a smirk, drawing a laugh out of you almost instantly.
“Yeah, sure Venti. I have no doubt you’d be able to play your way into an audience with her, especially since the last time you stepped foot into Inazuma went so swimmingly”, you jokingly responded, waving goodbye before readying yourself to run back home through the rain.
Zhongli
There was neither law nor contract that obliged the citizens of Liyue to worship Rex Lapis. Sure, the Archon might have been the city's patron god and had descended each year to give instructions and advice, but who’s name spilled out of its citizens' lips during their prayer was none of Zhongli’s business.
And yet, when he heard a particular name slip out of your mouth, the Archon couldn’t help but furrow his eyebrows for the briefest of moments.
“Thank Barbatos, I was starting to think I’d never find it”, you let out a relieved sigh once your eyes finally spotted the pin on the floor, glistening as if it was calling out for its owner before quickly finding itself stuck onto your coat once again, your lips forming a small smile.
“Hmm? Is something the matter?”, you once again turned towards Zhongli, not missing the conflicted expression that had since long been replaced by his usual smile.
“Not at all. I was simply surprised for a moment, Barbatos Worshippers in Liyue are pretty scarce after all, although there’s certainly nothing wrong with having another Archon as one’s Deity.” His explanation was enough to satisfy you, as your conversation quickly shifted back to the previous topic. And yet the scene remained on his mind for quite a while.
Let’s hope you and your god’s paths never converged… for your faith’s sake.
Ei
Hearing you mumble another Archon’s name in your brief prayer before eating caused Ei’s hand to freeze just close to her mouth, leaving the small sweet hovering in front of her face as her eyes remained fixed on you, the silence gradually causing your face to turn all shades of red as you tried to hide your tenseness behind a polite smile.
“I didn’t know you worshiped Rex Lapis”, Ei stated, her tone coming out more accusatory than she ever intended, causing a small apology to follow shortly after, bringing the tension of the room down significantly.
Humans were entitled to their own decisions, and yet hearing you worship another god left a… bitter taste in her mouth. Especially since she wasn’t sure whether or not it had to do with her or was totally unrelated, the thought that you liked another Archon more than her filling her with jealousy, no matter how ridiculous she knew the whole situation to be.
“My family originally came from Liyue, so praying to Rex Lapis before meals is somewhat of a tradition for me… even if I don’t worship him on many other occasions”, you explained sincerely, remembering scenes of sharing meals with your family as a small smile made its way onto your face.
Whether it was because of your explanation or the gentle expression on your face, but whatever semblance of jealousy Ei felt within her swiftly melted away, her shoulders relaxing before she finally took a bite of the food in front of her, the corners of her lips rising when you did the same.
Furina
Truth be told, when Furina heard another Archon’s name come out of your mouth she felt a wave of relief wash over her. The last thing she wanted was for you to put her on a pedestal, no matter how attention-seeking she could be from time to time. And while she couldn’t blame those still seeing her as their Archon, considering how she had played the role for generations, she wished for your relationship to be one of equals instead of a god and her worshiper.
“Ah, I guess praying to another Archon in front of a former one is a bit rude. I’m sorry-”, you rushed to form an apology once you noticed Furina’s silence, your face growing red in embarrassment and shame before being cut off by her.
“It’s fine, I’m not as vain as to feel slighted by such a non-issue”, she lifted her hand before waving you off, a smirk on her lips as she thought of what to say next. “I am no longer an Archon after all, so having people worship the grass the Archon ‘Focalors’ walks on would only serve as a distraction from how mesmerizing the great Furina is.”
A chuckle from you was all it took to bring her back down from her ego-trip, your smile quickly spreading over to her, and before she knew it, she was snickering herself.
“Alright, let’s get the great Furina a dessert as reward for her inexhaustible modesty.”

Deus Auri
Tumblr media
Zhongli x reader (gn)
Word count: 1.04k (smol)
CW: sfw:) mild spoilers for Neuvillettes voice lines about Morax, he calls him Deus Auri, which is god of gold in Latin— might just be a title but any little tidbit of Morax we get I just gobble gobble up. Flirting, zhongli calls you my dear, darling, vixen. No pronouns or other gender specific language used. Some kisses and allusions of wanting more.
Enjoy!
“Deus Auri.”
You can nearly hear the crack of Zhongli’s neck as his gaze whips towards you, but you keep your gaze trained on your book as if you hadn’t seen its comical swivel in your peripherals.
“I’m sorry my dear, could you repeat that?” He said, though there was an edge to his tone.
“Deus Auri—God of Gold. What can you tell me about that name?” You said, index finger gliding down the edge of the book. You were no longer reading, but still kept your eyes trained on the pages to pretend like you weren’t vibrating with excitement at his reaction.
Zhongli was naturally very stoic, a well maintained facade to those who weren’t interested in looking deeper.
You had been plenty interested, taking one look at him and instantly knowing he was no ordinary man.
Now the better part of half a year into your blossoming relationship, he still hadn’t outright told you, but he’d grown comfortable.
You’d catch glimpses of his wrists, normally covered— deep onyx with veins of pure gold. Though this only happened in the safety of his home— there was a time he had to remove his gloves to help you in the kitchen, and his perfectly pale, human hands had distracted you the entire time.
The glamor he kept up in public slipped a bit when he was more at ease.
To the eye that was actually looking, zhongli really wasn’t subtle about who he was.
“Well, why don’t we start with where you heard such a name?” He asked.
“I was with the traveler last week, helping she and paimon with a commission in Fontaine.”
You can see the minuscule wince he gives out of the corner of your eye. Just a twitch of the brows as he blinks, so graceful, but you catch it because you’re looking for it.
“I overheard a conversation she had with a lovely gentleman over there, though I didn’t get to introduce myself. He mentioned the name when the traveler was asking him about Rex Lapis.”
You closed your book, finally turning to look at him, though you kept your gaze coyly through heavy lids, peaking demurely at him through your lashes.
“And you know, I thought that was very strange, her asking him about Rex lapis, when she could learn anything and everything about him from our resident expert.”
“The traveler has not visited liyue to see me in some time, darling. And I'm sure there are others who’ve studied the gods. I am not the only knowledgeable one in Teyvat.”
“I know, I know.” You chewed on your lip a bit for effect, looking puzzled. “So who is this Deus Auri? Is it perhaps another one of Morax’s many names?”
You looked at him expectantly, grinning as he grew more stiff in his seat beside you. A mere foot of space between you on the couch and he looked like he was ready for you to pounce on him.
You wanted to, you have wanted to, but he so chivalrously insists upon taking it slow.
Hand holding in the harbour. Chaste kisses good night. You wanted so badly to break through his barriers but you knew he was holding back.
“You are…” he let a puff of air through his nose. “Correct in the knowledge that Morax was known to have many different names. Unfortunately that is all I can say on the matter.”
“So cryptic.” You squinted at him. He often shut you out when you pried like this, poking and prodding in places you know you shouldn’t be, but he was always kind and straightforward about it—so you usually dropped it as soon as he denied you.
“Do you think he had a favourite name that he went by?” You pushed a bit more, hoping to get him to give you just one more crumb before you played your cards. It was time, you were getting tired of hiding it.
He smiled thoughtfully, relaxing into the couch once more. “I’d like to think that he enjoyed the name Rex Lapis, the name given to him by his people. I’m sure it brought him a great sense of pride.”
You grinned, soaking in his expression and words. Knowing what you know— gods. He really was so cute sometimes.
You open up your book, stilling your grin to prepare for what was next.
“Really? I’d like to think Zhongli is his favourite. Retirement is a good look for him.”
You expected denial, perhaps his neck snapping back to you like it did when you first mentioned the ancient name.
What you didn’t expect was to be tackled to the floor, a gloved hand supporting your neck instinctively as you and your book tumbled along the floor with the blur of rich oranges and browns that took you down.
When you finally settled, you were on your back with him looming over you, pining you to the ground.
“You little vixen. How long have you known?” His eyes were wild, hair a mess, cheeks flushed and breathless. Disheveled.
He looked more beautiful now than you’d ever seen him before.
“From the moment you opened your mouth.”
He kissed his teeth in a quick tsk, ducking his head in embarrassment. “Nothing escapes you, does it? I knew I would be in trouble with you.”
You cupped his face in your hands, pulling him back towards you.
“And yet you kept me around regardless.” You smiled, giving him a quick, teasing peck on the lips.
“How could I not? You have an inescapable magnetism that I am completely captured by. I’m afraid to say that you’re unraveling me even as we now speak.”
You grinned at him, face feeling just as flush as his.
“How much more unraveling do I need to do to get you to let down those walls you keep around you?”
“They were gone the moment I saw that you knew the truth, my dear, you should have said something much sooner.” He tilted his head with a soft grin.
You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him ever closer.
“Kiss me then, you old blockhead.”
He gave a rumble in his chest that sounded very much like a growl, and it set your nerves on fire.
“Behave.” He said sternly.
“No promises,” you said as you kissed him.

Glaze Lily (Zhongli)
ᴴᵃⁿᵃʰᵃᵏⁱ ᴰⁱˢᵉᵃˢᵉ ᴬᵁ
Tumblr media
I have been in love with you as far as I can remember.
"If you were to watch the love of your life slowly fall in love with someone else, what would you do?" Asked the figure with a violet eyes and black hair. Its deep yet misty eyes stare at the two figure from afar then back at the woman in across it.
There the said woman followed were the figure with violet eyes were looking at. Looking at the scene, he was holding her close. He was holding her close that it was almost suffocating. Like something was stuck on her throat that she felt like throwing up.
"Are you okay?" It was the same figure with violet eyes that has been bothering her for a while now who snappened her out of her daze. "Love can be a dangerous game darling." Her eyes were glowing as if to warn her something. "Stop loving while its early." The hooded figure laughs, standing up from their seat as she continue to glare at the figure before it disappear from her sight.
She was left there in place, hands clench in a fist as she bit her lips. It was suffocating, her throat was itching. Something was happening. Something is starting. But what is it?
"Are you alright?" Rex Lapis asked as he gently and carefully approach her, but as soon as she look up to him, she could see her following closely behind. "Yeah. I'm alright."
I was here first. I met you first. I was there first. I was with you first. This means nothing to you, right?
Loving can be kind, but one must remember that love- loving can be dangerous. So dangerous.
She was so kind, so smart, so caring and lovely. Of course the adeptus were all over her for a reason, even him was no exception. "I honestly prefer your work over mind, what was Morax thinking when he chose mine?" She pout, sitting on the near vacant seat. Looking at her, a fake smile makes its way on her lips, "Is that so? Tell me about- cough!" "Oh my-! That sounded so painful, are you alright?!" "I'm alright.. If you'll exc- cough! cough!" She quickly stood up, hands covering her mouth. "Are you sure-!" "Move." "What was that-" Before Morax, Rex Lapis could even finish his sentence, she already run off.
Looking down at her hands in horror, there was blood. Then there was a single blue bloody petal. "What is thi-!" "I warned you didn't I?" She almost flinch but the perhaps, she had seen this coming. "What is happening to me?" She gasp, it was suffocating. For a while now, that suffocating feeling never went away.
"Pfffff haha" The hooded figure sigh like it cannot help it. "Asking something you already know?" She could not help but to glare at the fugure, hand curling into a fist, crushing the bloody petal. "It's the sickness of unrequited love. Hanahaki disease." Then the figure laugh, its violet eyes glowing. "I warned you, didn't I? Even the all mighty ones has their own demise."
Love is dangerous. It will bring you happiness until everything falls apart, tearing you into tiny little pieces.
I was there in your deepest darkest hours. I was there when no one was by your side. I was the one who pulled you away from darkness. I have always been by your side.
Series of claps can be heard as well as cheers as the two figure finally announced their relationship to the majority of the adeptus. And as much as she wants to do the same. She felt her throat itching like hell. Her sigh was getting deeper and deeper as time passed by, it was only a matter of time before she burst into fit of coughing. But she was all pretending everything was fine with a smile.
She held it in for a very long time until it was time for them to leave, she did not say a single thing. She just stood there in place, a smile on her lips. As soon as she was far away from hearing and sight. She crouch over to the ground as she burst out into a fit of coughing. Endless coughing.
She felt like she was dying, maybe she was. She cannot breathe, she felt like her lungs were being ripped apart. It hurts like hell that its killing her inside out. Tears rolling down her cheeks as she cough out bloody and fucking bloody white and blue petals. "Ah seriously-! cough- ugh!"
Is this the price to pay for loving-
"Tsk tsk. Look at you." Someone crouch down along side her. "Funny how humans and those immortal ones have something in common." Those belittling violet eyes, she wants to pull them out. "They all become a fool in love." "Regretting it now?" "Hahhhh... get out of my face."
Love is dangerous. But you know that didn't you? This is your choice.
"What should I do with you?" She was barely hanging on into consciousness. "This is such a foolish move." The figure tsked as it watches her die slowly. But it the major wounds on her body or suffocation. She had already accepted it. "Those wounds is fixable. It is the disease that is slowly killing you." The figure explain. "I can fix it but there is a consequence." That made her look at the hooded figure. "You'll have your emotions gone-" "They..." "???" "Are they okay?"
The figure halt. Then it laughed. "How crazy." "They're the reason why you're like this but even after all that you're still looking after them?" The hooded figure laugh for a long time then it looked back before disappearing without a trace, and not too long after that. Morax came on sight. His arms were trembling as he picked her up. She hated it, she hated the suffocating feeling in her chest that never went away even in these times. It was killing her. Like someone was tearing her lungs apart. Like somone planted a seed in there having its roots warped all around her lungs.
"Morax... Rex Lapis." She gasp, she was holding on into him for dear life. "Hush, come on. They'll be here in no time to heal you-" "My love.." She felt Morax stiffen. "My dear." She could barely breathe. "My lovely (First name)." "Guizhong-" "Morax... take care of her.. please?" She gripped on his arm. "I..." her eyes were teary. "I love her."
Just as Guizhong said that, the hands that was holding into him loosen. Slowly, Guizhong body starts to form a crack before it disintegrate into thin air. In her place leaving behind a bloody flower that was later known as Glaze Lily.
Love won't die, but it can kill you. You know?

🎨 by @tai3_3 on X
When Rex Lapis entered the room in his human form, he looked at the naked girl sitting on the sheets. She had her back to the door, her legs against her chest, her arms around her, her chin resting on her knees. He looked at her bare back, her complexion bright from the moonlight that filtered through the curtains, her skin without marks or stains, pure, like everything about her, a virgin, the offering of that year, the first one in his life. He cleared his throat so she would notice his presence, and he watched her shudder as she pulled the sheet over her. She turned and looked at him in surprise as she saw him get rid of his robe, the only item of clothing he was wearing.
"Open your legs".
The young woman did not obey, instead she looked away from her and pulled the sheet even tighter to her chest. He could see a blush stain her cheeks. He walked up next to her and sat behind her, spreading her legs with one hand while her other hand massaged her breast under the sheet.
"Ah~" she complained at the shock of his actions, trying to close her legs again.
"If you relax we'll be done soon" he hissed into her ear, the warmth of his voice making her skin crawl. He spread her legs again with his hand.
Rex Lapis pulled the sheet back completely, watching from his position as the girl's pussy was exposed to him, the sheen of her nascent wetness lubricating the delicate pink folds of her center. He moved one of his fingers over her folds, collecting the sticky liquid she was releasing.
"Good," he whispered, spreading his fingers in front of her and separating them so she could watch what was happening between her center, how wet she had become for him.Rex Lapis slid his fingers into the center of the young woman again when she tried to stop him by closing her legs again.
"If you continue like this we will never finish," he said, a little more seriously, almost at the edge of his patience. With his legs, he separated the young woman's, imprisoning her in a position that exposed her and kept her still... finally.
"Is it going to hurt?" She asked in a whisper, finding herself trapped and knowing that the man's next move would be imminent.
"I'll try not to be like that," he whispered, kissing her temple. He was almost as uncomfortable as she was, forced to take an offering he hadn't asked for.
The young woman's center was wet, even more so when he slowly caressed her folds and, in an attempt to speed things up, her clitoris, alternating movements between both places.
"Mmmm~" she complained, biting the back of her hand and throwing her head back. They had been like this for a couple of minutes.
"You're doing good, keep it up," he said, slowly advancing inside her pussy, parting her walls with his fingers.
"Ah!" she complained, squirming under his grip.
"Shhh, I'll be gentle, I promise," he whispered, pushing his fingers further inside her, curling them, making her get used to the sensation.
"You're tight," he added, separating his fingers in her insides, widening the wet, rubbery walls that hugged his fingers.
"Mmhh~" she moaned lowly, clinging to his arm. Had he touched a sensitive spot?
"Do you like it?" He asked, moving his fingers again, rubbing that spot which made her let out another moan. He smiled at her reaction.
"I'm not allowed to answer that," she said between gasps, gently moving her hips to feel the Archon's fingers deeper inside her.
"Who gave you that order? The village chief? The temple priestess?" He asked, almost annoyed, penetrating her further, drawing a scream from her lips. "I'm the only one who can give orders in this place," he said, curling his digits, touching again that point that made her see stars and squeeze her toes.
"Ah~ I'm so~ so sorry, my Lord, I didn't know... I... ah~" she moaned. She was a mess in front of him, with his fingers touching her like that and her nipple being constantly squeezed.
"It's not your fault, little one," he said, as he felt the young woman's soft walls clench his fingers. Was she close?
"Don't ever ask for forgiveness like that again," he whispered in her ear again, his warm breath taking over her lobe, raising the skin on the back of her neck, drawing a low moan from her, almost like a meow. The Archon felt his length growing.
"My lord~" she whispered, containing the ecstasy that was forming in her belly, like a ball that was about to explode at any moment.
"Let yourself go," he said, his voice low, almost like a growl, the way the girl moved on his fingers, against his member... it was triggering something in him, something. almost human.
He quickened the pace of his fingers, and she shook her hips, the movement almost musical, as if they were used to intimacy. She leaned her head back on his shoulder, leaning on his knees, while her accelerated breathing, in rhythm with the thrusts of his fingers, made her bare chest rise and go down heavily. One more scream and she was contracting her core around the Archon's fingers, bathing them in her orgasm, her first orgasm.
He gently took his fingers away from her, separating them in front of her, with an erotic movement of his fingers, showing her what he had achieved, as if it were a triumph for him. She did not utter a word, her throat was tight, only short breaths were what could be heard in the room. The Archon, who had rested his head on the girl's shoulder, looked at what he had done to her, the way she had gotten like that with just his fingers...
"We're not done," he said, clasping his hands in her lap, hesitating about his next move, wondering if it was right to continue. His mind wandered, but his member throbbed, Rex Lapis was a hurricane of doubts at that moment. He had never hesitated like that, it was unheard of for the Archon of Liyue to find himself in such a position. He felt a soft caress on his cheek, coming out of his thoughts, the young woman gently caressed his skin, as if he was going to break at any moment.
He brought his gaze together with hers, his face serious although inside full of surprise at her shy gesture, he realized that this was the first time he had seen her face with clarity. Her eyes were soft, warm and full of innocence, the little she had left, and they gave him a confusing but comforting message. She knew they had to continue, and she was willing to do it. It was as if her eyes were giving him permission to take the next step, even though he didn't need it…
With one gentle movement he placed her back against the sheets, and leaned over her. He caressed her cheek in the same way she caressed his, as if with that gesture they formed a wordless alliance, one that only both of them understood. Forced to do something they didn't want to, finding trust and comfort in each other's bodies. He aligned his cock at her entrance and slowly slid inside her. He heard her let out a moan of shock, perhaps discomfort, so he advanced slowly, hiding his face in her neck.
He was completely inside her, fit so that it seemed like she was made especially for him, she took him well, unexpectedly well... fuck... she felt good, that tightness tightening around his hard, throbbing cock.
"Mmh~" he growled into her neck, taking her hand in his. He couldn't contain himself, he couldn't believe how good it felt to do that... after so much... with someone who was so inexperienced... The pressure was almost as intense as the passion at that moment.
She moved her hips gently, squeezing his hand, getting used to his size. Her breathing was heavy, her mind a cloud of questions. The priestess had told her that this was a sacrifice, that the act would be horrible... so... why did he feel so good? He hadn't even moved, and she already felt a current run down her spine. She liked that, she liked him...
He began to move gently, maintaining his composure, he wanted to move quickly, lunge her with fury until she cried with pleasure, damn... the young woman was so fucking fuckable... but he shouldn't, there was no honor in that... he was the Archon, the act was sacred, she was an offering… she… she…
"Like this~" she moaned, stroking his hair with her free hand, and that was the end for him. There was no honor, chivalry or even reason in the way he moved. The bed shook from the force with which he lunged at her, the sheet in his hands, he clung to the fabric tightly, because if he did to her skin he would hurt her.
It wasn't right, it wasn't right, it wasn't right, he kept telling himself, but those thoughts faded when he heard her moan beneath him, when he felt her hands on his back, her nails digging into his skin, the heels of her feet resting on him, in his lower back.
That last bit had taken away the last bit of sense he had, the movement had been obscene, but in reality everything at that moment was. The room was immersed in erotic noises from both of them, her moans and his grunts, and the sound of her fluid-soaked skin slapping with rhythm and momentum. He put his hand in her hair, bringing his face closer to her cheek, as if trying to melt into her, a kiss here, and another there... Lips parted in search of air, he had no control of his body, neither of them.
He leaned on his elbows for more stability, he was about to cum. It was at that moment that he watched her, writhing with one hand on her forehead, drowning in pleasure and lust, eyes closed, cheeks red, lips parted, voice torn by moans and screams, back arched as he touched her cervix with its cock. She was beautiful, she was his and she was about to reach her second orgasm of the night, he felt her shudder and tighten around his length.
"I can't take it anymore~!" she let out, almost in a scream, releasing her orgasm around him, causing that agitated image of her to make him come too, releasing his load inside her.
She felt his hot seed inside her, and his breath on her face. Their foreheads pressed together, their hands intertwined, their rhythmic gasps, both almost on the verge of madness from the pleasure experienced.
"Stay," he said, still panting. He knew he should return her to her people, but he didn't want to… he just couldn't.
"Please," he added, almost pleading, he couldn't believe he was doing that, him, the Archon... begging a woman to stay by his side after a night like that... the bond created in those minutes had been something that went beyond his knowledge.
"You must not ask twice, my lord," she said, caressing his cheek, with a weak smile on her lips...
A kiss sealed that night, a caress had strengthened it… a human had turned a god into a man.

baizhu knows he isn’t the most favored.
from the first moment the traveller set foot in his office, he knew. he wasn’t met with anything special, no big flair from his god when you first saw him. it was to be expected, with how much time he spent praying—could gods have regulars?
it was simple. a quick ‘oh, the snake talks?’ thrown his way, a comment or two about his choice of outfit or the jade pendant hanging off his vision, and that was that. mostly, you seemed preoccupied with qiqi and the funeral parlor’s consultant, something to be expected. he was a quick stop on your journey, a note in the margins about the doctor you met at the pharmacy. it made sense, of course, that you’d be occupied with the death of rex lapis during the failed rite of descension, and the return of osial and beisht surely took priority over him. he offered little, only a dialogue or two actually shared between him and the traveller when you were present. he’d gathered as much of his energy, saved it for your arrival to make a good impression, so… it made sense you’d fret over qiqi, constantly forgetful as she was.
it made sense. he’d… made his peace. he had more to worry about, surely, what with orders to fulfill and his own condition to manage. maybe not more important—never, not maybe, what was he thinking?—but certainly more.
when your attention on qiqi flared, spurred by some unknown whim, he delighted a bit in being close to her, even if your thoughts on him weren’t entirely positive.
it was fair. you liked qiqi, and were concerned. it made sense you didn’t know every detail of teyvat, and since he’s never had the chance to come to you and spell out his story directly, it made sense you’d make some assumptions.
“i guess that makes sense, but still… qiqi deserves better.”
she probably did, in truth, but hearing it from you…
he’s had his vision for years by this point. he’s hd it for as long as he’d had changsheng, to be exact, and she was always able to remind him of exactly how long that had been.
“ssseven yearsss, four monthsss, thirteen daysss, and counting…”
“ah… thank you, changsheng.”
he knew he wasn’t special. out of the thousands of vision wielders across teyvat, only a handful have started having their constellations appear in the sky. just under a hundred, by his approximation, but he tried not to count. if he sought out the proper numbers, tried to pin down a percentage of those with a vision that had a chance to hold their god’s attention, then he’d start trying to find patterns. he was a doctor, patterns and rhythms were his literal job, but he knew that wouldn’t end well.
(a librarian, an alchemist, a lawyer: did you perhaps favor more studious types? a bartender, an exorcist, a detective: or those with a drive in their lives? a nobody, a traveller, a wandering samurai: or those seeking one out for themselves?)
there wasn’t a pattern. it was random. and part of him hated it.
baizhu had had his vision for seven years, eight months, and thirteen (was it fourteen? the sky was growing dark) days, and had never once seen his stars in the sky.
he had one. he had a constellation, something he knew was rare among vision wielders, but it didn’t guarantee him a spot in the sky any time soon. kirara had hers long before she had her chance in the heavens—they’d spoken about that, both hesitant to show the other their divine gift, but willing to speak of its existence.
and now kirara’s turn had passed. though her vision didn’t shine any brighter, he could see the pride in her smile when she dropped off another delivery at the pharmacy. sign here, check these, make sure this is what you ordered, goodbye have a good day, pretend like yours doesn’t weigh more after seeing hers.
it wasn’t as if he was unremarkable. a perfectly healthy man who had thrown himself into illness to find the cure for all of them? surely that was interesting, wasn’t it? but it wasn’t his time, he was being impatient, slipping back to the same mindset he condemned his patients for.
“patience. medicine doesn’t work in an instant, and you’ll need to be taking this for the next week at minimum.”
“but it’s so bitter!”
“then tell me, what tastes worse: bile, or this pill? if you want to stop being sick, you need to take it.”
patience.
qiqi was blessed with a place in the stars near instantly after she’d gotten her vision, but she was not the norm. perhaps his expectations were weighted, then? or maybe you disliked his work entirely? he didn’t like entertaining what ifs, but when various aches kept him up, there was little else he could do while he waited for his medication to take effect. patience, he tried to remind himself, counting his breaths. be patient. wait, be calm, don’t agitate yourself. count in, count out, are your breaths getting shorter? just stay calm, be patient…
the first time he saw you, he knew you were coming. he’d saved as much energy as he could, doing his best to make a good impression. but now, with changsheng nudging him awake urgently, pushing him into his shoes and putting his glasses on for him, the first thing he’d expected was the millelith, maybe, or perhaps the ministry of civil affairs. maybe he was needed urgently, maybe something had happened to qiqi, maybe he was late for his medication and he’d get terrible headaches if he wasn’t quick- oh, but then why would she bother to coil around his shoulders?
and yet, out of all those possibilities, none were correct.
“hey! who’s talking about me behind my back?”
“changsheng, qiqi meant that as a compliment. there’s no need to be upset.”
it had been so long since he’d felt your light, far longer since he’d been properly healthy. he’d forgotten how it felt to walk without the dull ache in his joints, and yet here he was. standing by gui and a familiar looking child, speaking with your traveller. it was easy to say words he didn’t choose, his throat not getting dry despite the lack of his morning tea.
the quest was long, and by the end he should have been exhausted. between taking on jialiang’s sickness to turning him into a zombie, he should have been out of commission for the next few days. as it was he had a nasty cough, his breath coming shorter than typical… but that was it. he took his regular medication at the dinner with your traveller, the linger of your aura on them still seeming to dull his pains. how curious, that you could cure ailments even he couldn’t name anymore…
“baizhu, are you alright?” idly, he wondered if the traveller noticed the change in their voice when they were speaking for you. it always sounded a bit lighter, a bit of your emotions bleeding through… a pity he’d never know why. “today must have been taxing for you…”
all eyes were on him now, even qiqi’s. “i’m doing fine,” he said simply, taking another sip of his tea. “better than normal, if anything, which i have to owe to our guest.”
paimon still seemed nervous. “but what about when we leave? what if everything hits you all at once? normally you stay at the pharmacy, and using your power so much…”
a fair assessment. while he was no stranger to combat, to be thrown in the middle of a pack of such vicious hilichurls was a shock. still, he had made it through—even if, privately, he doubted it would have been so clean without you there. “i will be fine. even if my condition declines, i am well equipped to handle flare ups.”
it seemed the whole group was hesitant to let him go. changsheng insisted he stay up until three hours had past since the traveller left, when his limbs again felt heavy and his head began to hurt. something odd was stirring in his chest, and he was eager to get to bed before it sparked into anything more. it was reasonable, he knew, but there were only so many prescriptions to prepare before he had nothing left to do. gui had long since went to bed, leaving just him in the lobby of the pharmacy, quietly double checking his stock of herbs.
eventually, he stood from his seat, returning the sweet flowers to their proper place. he held up an hand to let changsheng climb up his arm, closing up the pharmacy. she curled around his shoulders twice, a familiar weight. the night was cool, a slight breeze bumping the chain of his glasses against his cheek. it had been a long few days, and he was happy that everything was settled. he’d done all he could for jialiang, and he and his family hopefully wouldn’t be coming back for quite some time. back to routine…
“…baizhu?”
he checked the lock with a quick tug, “yes? what is it?”
“the ssstarsss… they’re due, aren’t they?”
ah. the cycles of constellations, switching through the sky. if he thought about it.. yes, they were, weren’t they?
“by my memory, they are. why?”
her head was turned, looking off to the part of the sky not obscured by the roof of the pharmacy.
“…changsheng-“
“look.”
“it’s late.” his heart began to pick up, false hopes being raised. patience, he chided himself, but what follower did not wish for acknowledgment from their god? “we should go to sleep before we fall too far out of schedule.”
“baizhu! i know you have better sssenses than that.”
perhaps he did. his vision burned where it was clipped to his side, invisible vines creeping up toward his heart. “don’t be too hasty,” he said quietly, the words tasting as bitter as his pills.
don’t be too hasty. you could still be wrong. don’t get your hopes up. be patient.
one hand went to his hip, undoing the clasp of his vision, the other settling on the railing. a few clouds dotted the sky, but he lifted his vision anyway, searching for any stars tinted green.
everything happened at once. the terrace was replaced with an ocean of skies, the slight mumble of “i do have a guaranteed…” getting lost in the whirlwind around him. he was weightless, trapped in by an invisible box, only dimly aware of the fact that his pain had once again disappeared. he was floating, dressed in the attire he normally saved for formal events—dressed in what he’d put on when you’d first arrived—with no sight of the pharmacy below him. it was just him and changsheng, him and changsheng and the bright light that came from everywhere, lifting him from his unseen prison.
a laugh, a smile, a rush of power flooding through him, and when he next set foot in front of the pharmacy, he did so with a new gleam to his vision. he could hear a door open behind him—qiqi, if he had to guess, as why wouldn’t she be drawn to the power the adepti could only hope to imitate?—but couldn’t turn, breathless.
“welcome home, doc.. it’s good to see you.”
it had taken seven years, four months, and 25 days, but he was here. and it was more than he could have ever asked for.

The almighty Morax, the Archon of Liyue, God of Geo, loved by his nation, adored by his sweet little Adepti pets. The esteemed Archon kept many Adepti within his close circle, considering he was of descent himself. Warriors, inventors, poets, artists, these colourful people with various backgrounds were considered to be a friend of the God.
Though, Morax kept the prettiest Adeptus by his side, a sweet little thing with wide curious eyes and the cutest little horns adorned on her head. His sweet Adeptus pet was always seen with him, sat prettily by his earthen throne for his nation to see. He clad her in decadent silks, rich fabrics pool around her knees as she kneels by his feet. Dainty crystals and jewels of Cor Lapis hung from her pretty horns, strung over her forehead like a crown.
She clings tightly to his arm when out on a stroll in the dewy mornings of Liyue, nuzzling into his side, her face avoiding the moist fog flowing through the air. She was looked after by the almighty Archon, pampered so tenderly day in and day out, fed and bathed by the hands of the God of Geo. Rex Lapis' pretty Adeptus. The sweetest little follower he had, devoted to his every action and decision. Dependant on him to live. She was pliant, always so willing and obedient, eager to please him in any way she could.
"Come and sit, my Flower," Morax beckons to his lap, comfortably splayed out on his throne. The sweet little Adeptus pitters over, her bottom lip between her teeth, nervous but oh so eager to appease him. Morax's pretty Girl clumsily straddles the thick quad of his thigh, tentatively bracing her smaller hands upon his chest, as if he would be offended by her touch. He hums a noise of acknowledgement, slow and rich from the pit of his throat. His glowing, golden eyes pierce down into her own, admiring the pliant girl in his lap. The Adeptus averts her gaze, bashfully looking anywhere but the radiant, omnipotent God before her. His large palm soothes over her pretty waist, caressing her gently, cheekily tugging at the draping fabric that adorned her body.
Morax squeezes at the soft flesh of his little Adeptus' hip, kneading his fingers over her lower back before finally resting on the curve of her ass. The girl squirms in his lap, the dainty jewels she adorned on her head twinkle softly with her little movements. The little Adeptus clenches her thighs together, squeezing the thick muscle of Morax's quad between them. Another hum rumbles from the throat of the Archon, it's a pleased noise, laced in golden honey. He presses his thigh into her sweet, warm core, applying the most delicious pressure to her achey clit. The girl makes her own noise, a sweet little mewl, cut short out of hot embarrassment. Morax's hand gently guides his pretty Adeptus, pressing into the flesh of her ass, barely covered by the soft silks draped over her frame. The sweet girl rocks her hips against the Archon's thigh experimentally, shyly biting back any little noises that bubble from her throat. As if Morax had never heard her sing on his thick cock.
"Back and forth, Darling.. Back and forth," he coddles the sweet Adeptus in his lap, bumping his knee into her cunny, matching her cute little movements. She moans softly, tilting her head back, her dainty beaded crown tinkles against her pretty horns. The silky fabric she wore droops to her shoulders, revealing the soft skin of her throat. Morax is quick to press his lips on the Adeptus' neck, leaving the softest, warmest kisses on her skin. He exhales into her shoulder, his breath hot on her sensitive neck. Her sweet little cunny aches, she grinds harder to relieve the pressure, pathetically humping against the God's thick thigh.
"Find what feels good on your little clit, my Flower," Morax breathes, his voice low, dripping with the sweetest of syrups. Archons, his darling Adeptus Pet was insatiable, so sweet, curious and always eager to listen. His pretty girl whines, grinding her warm, achey cunny faster against his thigh. Her vigour was akin to a silly little bunny, quick little ruts against his quad, unembarrassed by the sheer notion of using his lap for pleasure. His hand continues to guide his sweet little follower's frame, pressing her hard into his lap, groping at her jiggly ass as she humps into him. The pretty Adeptus tucks her head into the Archon's neck, barely avoiding knocking the man in the face with her horns. Her hands cage against his chest, fingers curling into themselves as she humps her achey clit against her God. Archons, she was so far gone. She moans prettily into his ear, her soft voice heightening with every sweet little 'ahn!' she chirps out.
"Show me your eyes, sweet Pet.." Morax commands, his other hand caresses her soft cheeks, fingers tucking under her pretty chin, lifting her face out of his neck. The Adeptus squirms in his hold, her needy pace in his lap never letting up. He bores his gaze into her, his eyes practically glowing, amused and authoritative over his little darling. His pretty pet's split slicked lips quiver as she breathes, moaning out so, so sweetly as she locks eyes with his own. Her cheeks adorn the prettiest little tears, eyes glimmering and barely focused, doing her absolute best to keep her stare on the Archon.
"All- Almighty Rex L-Lapis~" His sweet little Adeptus pet cries, her thighs clench, her gaze falters, Gods she was close. Cute little thing, using her Archon to get off, grinding her achey cunny over his lap, leaving a deliciously sweet wet spot on his thigh. Morax squeezes at her chin gently, tilting her head to nearly meet his lips with her own. He leans in, his breath warm on her glossy lips, barely grazing over the plump swell of her mouth. He pulls away, the Adeptus girl tries to chase him, attempting to capture his lips with her own. Morax hums, his mouth forms into an unreadable grin, soft, yet something else lingers under his smile.
"Come for me, my Dear.. Relish in an ecstasy only a God could provide." Morax's voice is deep, guttural, his eyes never leave the pretty Adeptus pet in his lap. He takes pleasure in her cute little humps against his thigh. Using a God in his own throne to get off, his sweetest little underling getting the most special of treatment. Her eyes never leave his own, squinting and widening, eyebrows pitching up in the softest little way. Her lips fall open, her crown twinkles softly, her fingers thread through the fabric he wore over his chest, her hips stutter in his lap. She could feel it, her achey clit rubs hard on his lap, humping fast as her cunny throbs and tummy coils.
"C-Comming-!" The sweet little Adeptus cries, eyes glassy and wet, locked with her Archon as he nods his head sympathetically. Morax's sweet Pet clenches her thighs hard over his own, wriggling her hips in short little humps as she cums so, so prettily. The cute little Adeptus girl fucks herself silly in his lap, her achey cunny gushes wetly over her Archon. She messes in his lap, her sweet, sticky juices drenching any material that lay between them. The poor girl sobs the prettiest little apologies, small 'sorries' tremble from her lip and yet she never slows her greedy little pace. Morax's darling Adeptus hiccups little cries, fat tears roll down her cheeks as she begs for forgiveness. The Geo Archon couldn't care less about her sweet, sticky mess, God's she'd rightfully marked him as she should. He supposed however, he could indulge in the sweet little thing's prattling.
Perhaps he could truly prove his sweet, sweet little Adeptus' devotion.

Hi..do you accept request?
If you do could you make Xiao is the father of creator child?
Thank you
The creator had a:
Birdly child
Tumblr media
WC: ~700
I'm in love with how two asks came at the same time about Xiao, it's time to give the emo baby some love
I remember reading hatchlings often have rough feathers and aren't as photogenic as grown ups until the first feathers fall off.
“Bright yellow eyes aren't all that uncommon too” furina looks over your shoulder as you nurse your daughter, she would say she looks surprisingly unremarkable if that didn't sound like an insult of sorts even if it was true, dark blue hair and striking yellow eyes but nothing much. For one minute she hoped she would come out with long blue streaks and sharp angled ears, even if only so she could tease Neuvillette about his meeting with you.
“I’m happy enough that her face is similar to their grace” the tsaritsa sits beside you, a tea cup between her hands, as bitter as she seemed to whoever she expected was your lover her confirmation to the baby shower was the first to arrive, a few plushies and older baby clothes.
Zhongli stands just behind furina, watching her face as you burp Xuezhui, the little lift at the end of her eyes making them slightly sharper than they are, reminding him of a certain someone. Snow and bird, Aren't you a bit too on the nose? Oh, well, at least his dear apprentice and friend found some happiness.
His gold eyes look at furina, a soft smile forming “I think she looks so cute, like a finch hatchling” his hand getting close to her and lightly brushing her rough hair with one finger, such a tiny baby.
“I never said she isn't!”
“Did you want to see me, Morax?” Xiao appears beside zhongli, Xuezhui was getting fuzzy and you decided to put the baby to sleep before returning to the archons, during that time they divided to do as they pleased, and by the steaming teapot Xiao could guess he decided to enjoy some tea
“Take a seat”
“Is anything wrong?”
“I see you truly took it to heart to protect their grace, even spent the night in their room to be sure” zhongli swirls the golden tea inside the cup. The noise of the slight splashing drowned by the noise of him choking on his spit.
“My apologies, Rex Lapis, it wasn't meant to-” quickly he bows, his forehead touching the table but zhongli cuts him with a small smirk.
“when two finches love each other very much they spend the night together and-”
“I'm already repenting, please…”
The night is warm and clear, the crescent moon on full display and your baby isn't in her crib yet you aren't truly worried after walking to the balcony and seeing a figure seated on the edge of the nursery's roof.
Xiao holds his daughter to his chest while trying to manage the wild mane of blueish hair she has, the exact same he had as a kid but chose to cut. Now, to some extent he wishes he listened to guizhong when she spoke of hairstyling.
For now he settles with two pigtails on either side of her head, one lower than the other but his daughter was starting to wriggle around and start pushing her head against his neck, wanting to return to her crib and sleep.
“Is she looking at me?” Arlecchino asks as she feels a gaze burning on her neck, usually if it was one of her children she would tell them off for being so obvious but for it to be a rather spoilt toddler who isn't training to be a spy she couldn't say much.
“Ah, apologies about it, she is going through a phase of watching everyone” there is your kid, her hair on two braids and her yellow eyes watching owlishly.
“You know, if you lent her to me I could train her, she seems to be a natural” she teases you.
“Oh, don't even worry” as you return to the conversation without paying her too much mind you can still see her unblinking amber eyes from the door.
“Stop crawling over your crib’s railing, you are going to hurt yourself!” You scold your toddler, one leg and an arm over the railing attempting to escape nap time “go to sleep, you are in a bad mood if you don't nap”
she mumbles something you guess was her saying she wanted to play or crawl around but you don't follow her game.
“I don't care! To bed, young missy or your little night scrolls with your dad are done!” she huffs and sits down her back facing you.

Vocal Veneration
Tumblr media
Synopsis: Lately, the Traveller can’t help but notice a alteration in someone’s behaviour. Seems like an interrogation is due.
Characters: Zhongli, Xiao, Childe, Ayato, Al Haitham and Diluc x Fem! Reader.
Warnings: None, the tiniest bit suggestive.. [I thought i’d try this cute idea out! <3 but i’ve been so tired and demotivated with school and family issues sigh, my eyes (ᗒᗣᗕ)]
Tumblr media
Zhongli
About You: Impressions
Hm [Name]? Ah, a truly polite and welcoming young woman. She often accompanies me with affairs regarding Wangsheng Funeral Parlour, insisting on lessening my workload. I consider her a suitable role model for the children of Liyue. Excuse me? Are you insinuating that there’s something i’m not informing you of? Ahem, that is information i shan’t tell you just yet.
About You: Godhood
I had intended to keep my identity as Morax a secret, yet some citizens are more observant than i thought. She was the first to recognise such as she was a devoted follower of Rex Lapis, i find myself flattered. What? No, [Name] did not worship me after she knew i could hear her every request. She apologised profusely afterwards, and was quite embarrassed. Adorable.
About You: Betrothal
Ah, Traveller. Here, this is my engagement invite, i’d appreciate your appearance at the function. Oh, you saw this coming? Hah…I suppose it can’t be helped, perhaps love is inevitable as they say, i shall not make the same mistake, not again. Why, you ask? No matter, let’s not spoil the mood with a lengthy monologue, Farewell till then, my friend.
Tumblr media
Xiao
About You: Impressions
[Name]? The individual who often pays her respects at the adepti shrine? I watch her from afar, sometimes she notices— but she doesn’t say much apart from a simple greeting. It’s refreshing to see a young mortal appreciating us nowadays where our job becomes less prominent. What do you mean my voice is quieter? It’s not.
About You: Karma
Whenever i’m with [Name], my karmic debt seems to take less of a toll on me. That burning sensation encasing my heart dissipates. She makes it bearable enough to manage. On some nights, she brings me gifts and food to take my mind from the terrors. Huh? I’m in love? Hmph. Foolish mortal emotions don’t interest me.
About You: Acceptance
So be it, as you predicted, me and her have grown rather close. No— this does not give you the opportunity to tease me for it. Adepti should value the short lifespans of humans, via protection but also expression, i was told. This doesn’t sound like me, you say? Hm, i fail to understand what you mean.
Tumblr media
Childe
About You: Impressions
Ah! The illustrious traveller also knows of my co-worker! [Name] is quite unique, no? At first, she came off as a little apprehensive but she no longer hesitates to spend time with me exclusively. What was that? Professionalism and relationships should remain separate? Nonsense. This isn’t a romantic amour!
About You: Combat
I feel a sense of pride knowing that i have managed to teach someone how to master the rules of combat! It was only necessary, i couldn’t bear to witness my dearest injured. Wait! In the name of the Tsarista, promise not to tell [Name] i called her so, will you? Comrade, It was a minor meaningless slip up!
About You: Family
Ah, how i wish to return to the confines of Snezhnaya. I’m certain that Teucer and Tonia will adore [Name] too! She’s so sweet behind that closed-off persona, perhaps i can declare my love for her in person prior…Oh, you’re volunteering to help me? I’d adore some aid here, confessing isn’t exactly easy, you know.
Tumblr media
Ayato
About You: Impressions
Do i know [Name]? Certainly, she is my wife after all. Hm, you were unaware? Is it really that shocking? Ah, it is not at all rare to see a commissioner with someone of a higher or alike status. It’s not that, you say? So you’re suggesting something about my personality. I see… I’d estimated you’d react this way nonetheless.
About You: Workload
As the Yashiro Commissioner, I am not exempt from towers of overflowing paperwork and contracts. My role, keeping peace between the Tri-Commission, can be quite taxing from time to time. Luckily enough, my beloved never fails to provide me with her delicious cooking and endearing words. [Name] brews the best milk tea for me, care to try some? I have a fresh batch ready.
About You: Heir
Oh my— why do you ask of such a thing? Surely this is too soon to be conversing about children, no? While we do intend to, ahem, expand the Kamisato bloodline, i fear of my duties interfering with my role as an attentive father for my child. Of course, the welfare of my dearest wife comes first. Hm, my face is flushed pink? False.
Tumblr media
Al Haitham
About You: Impressions
[Name] is notably the only person i get along with, as she understands the definition of ‘boundary’. Not entirely ignorant but not annoyingly persistent either. I quite often find the saying that opposites attract to be outdated. Like-minded people are worth spending time with. Hmph, you know i did not mean it in that way.
About You: Akademiya
Why do you ask? I surmise it wouldn’t be too taxing to let you know. We were classmates within the Haravatat Darshan. She’d buy me food and drinks in return for working on projects together as she insisted. I accepted the offer, certainly better than joining the other entitled scholars. We must of been close? Huh, we still are. What’s so shocking? I’m not that arrogant.
About You: Emotions
I am least fond of expressing my feelings, i thought it was pointless and a partial waste of my energy when i can resolve such issues with my own logic. Admittedly, i was incorrect. [Name] always offered her time to listen to my very few words and i’d listen to hers. Fair exchange, i called it then. It wasn’t until an argument broke out that i learned not all experience comes from books, sometimes from people. Those words of hers became a principle to me.
Tumblr media
Diluc
About You: Impressions
My spouse, [Name]? I don’t think i would know where to begin in terms of describing what i think of her. Loving, caring, humorous, gorgeous—need i continue? You’ve never met her formally…why don’t i invite you personally to Dawn Winery for an evening meal. She’d love to get to know you. Good, it’s settled then.
About You: Winery
After being left with the responsibility of the business at eighteen, i’ve developed a routine which i’ve mostly stayed consistent with. Having a family of my own now, there’s no doubt it is much different. Hm? My winery is big enough to accommodate them? Haha, they surely liven it up, keeping my wife and i busy as of late. Don’t worry, i treat her to all she likes afterwards with my income, wine and luxuries.
About You: Children
What—? No, i am contented with my two children. Hah, any more and i believe i wouldn’t be able to multitask between my profession and duties. Though i do quite like the idea of staying home on paternity leave with my beloved [Name]. Again, please, i request you not to suggest such…topics, my wife is already teasing me, not you too.

I wonder how Rex lapis would react to the information of another of his kind[a female] still being around and right under his nose the entire time tho in disguise aswell, the only reason he didn't detect them for so long is because she's really good and smart at hiding her identity so good her own kind could be fooled
Zhongli is inclined to believe it, no matter how unlikely it may seem, because hey - he's been in Teyvat for thousands of years and the world still doesn't cease to surprise him.
He sees her for real one lonely night, tail in view as she grooms it, and it looks much like his own dragon tail. How curious! Her scent is very mild, so inconspicuous that he can't pick it up unless he closes his eyes and really concentrates. No wonder...
He'd leave her be, but can't help but imagine her in her adeptal form perched upon a fluffy cloud, and him dancing in the skies for her attention and favour. Call it uncharacteristic of him to be thinking of such a thing, but it was just a fleeting thought.
That night, though, he dreams of fluffy clouds and an audience of one.

ZHONGLI didn't think it'd come down to this when he had eternally devoted himself to a partner - one that was mortal, nonetheless. he expected the sand timer of life, the ticking seconds and moments passed that he'd never get back with them; not this, no. not this. you were persistent and zhongli unfortunately had little ability to tell you the word no, especially when you flutter pretty eyelashes up at him and pout that lower lip.
that's how you ended up in this situation. had he been a little more stern, he could have prevented this. the geo archon had done many things in his lifetime that he harboured regrets for but this one possibly took the crown for it. how could he have been so reckless knowing the limited time he had with you at his side? zhongli scolds himself for not being more strict, if only to protect you for another day.
you'd bonded well to the adepti under zhongli's - former - command, knowing that your parter was the very well worshipped archon of liyue. in fact, you bonded so well to them that you were inseparable from the likes of xiao and shenhe when it came down to them working. you were determined for the thrill and zhongli wishes that maybe, time would have mulled down the adrenaline rush you got from it.
xiao's expression explained to zhongli more than words did regarding the severity of the situation, after all you were zhongli's partner - rex lapis, morax, the god of contracts, the lord of rock, the one who very well saved xiao in the darkest crevices of time and set him on a better path. amber eyes that shrink when they land on the taller male, gloved hands shaking as he tries to get his words out. they come out finally in a sharp gasp; you'd been fatally injured.
every soul in liyue trusted baizhu with their lives, maybe not hu tao but zhongli recognised the director had a different flavour of life she preferred. yet he could feel the anxiety growing in his chest, gnawing at his ribs like a rabid animal and it only worsened as xiao explained the damage you took to your head from the fall, trying to escape a lawachurl that xiao hadn't got to in time. ah, so his last surviving yaksha was also rotting to a guilt that wouldn't wither away?
zhongli has spent decades learning how to read emotions, facial expressions and gestures that the mortal realm commit to when words simply don't work. everything has been etched into his mind to the point where he could read everyone like an open book, something that sometimes works in his favour. there's a sorry look on baizhu's face, a grimace whenever he looks at zhongli right up to the moment where he utters that you've got amnesia.
time stops and there's nothing that could make the hands of the clock keep ticking at this revelation. he was prepared for the sand timer, the ticking seconds and moments passed he'd never get back with you. he was expecting the days to be counted, the wrinkles that would grace your face and tell tales of your youth. but if you forgot him, he had no more of that, did he?
for better or for worse, the famed geo archon made the decision not to see you for himself. not cradled up in a bed at the bubu pharmacy, battered and bruised and confused by your surroundings, the people around you. he wanted you to shine in his memories, like gold and for that, he wanted to remember how he last saw you before you'd left that day.
a bright grin on your face, eyes twinkling with excitement as he leaned to press a kiss to your lips, softly muttering his precautions and worries as his warm breath fans over your face. you brushed him off, returning the kiss before turning to leave your shared house and now he wishes he'd done anything, if only he'd grabbed your wrist and pulled you back into his firm chest. now, he must return home and see you everywhere but never you, yourself, your body and soul.
𓈒⠀𓂃⠀⠀˖⠀𓇬⠀˖⠀⠀𓂃⠀𓈒
partners in crime, that's what people would usually say to describe your relationship with NEUVILLETTE. after all, the iudex of fontaine entangled in a relationship so cherished and sweet with a member of the marechaussee phantom under his own command? the laws and legalities of fontaine sure had its own way of bringing people together.
you were a reputable member of the special detective force, determined and a valuable asset to their taskforce. neuvillette valued you both as a member of the marechaussee phantom and his very own partner, the one that toughened up his workaholic shell and slithered into his heart. he was in love, completely and utterly in love. it didn't take a genius to see that the iudex was just as devoted to you as he was his work, in fact he'd started to make space in his day just for you.
your job was much more dangerous than neuvillette's and he recognised that every time he would press a kiss to your head every morning before you parted ways at the aquabus station. he would be tucked safely away in the palais mermonia whereas you had criminals to deal with, scoundrels who dared defy the laws your very partner put in place.
neuvillette also recognised that you were a mortal. he'd kept his own personal life secret from you so in your naivety, you also thought he was a mortal - just an astounding and extraordinary one that you would never fail to smother in love. he wishes he'd told you, uttered his secrets and pressed his lips to your soft skin one more time when he realised the consequences of your job.
it was a day like no other, you were tasked with apprehending another dangerous criminal bold enough to resist arrest and by the archons, of course you was determined to chase them down. even if it meant a brawl breaking out in the midst of fontaine's serene countryside, the only sounds being the quiet chirp of distant birds and heavy pants of your struggles.
you succeeded in bringing him down just as reinforcements arrived to help detain the criminal and yet, the criminal could not let you have the last laugh, tripping you as you stood to walk away. your head met a rock, concussing you.
neuvillette waits for you every day at the aquabus station, ready to journey home with you after a tiring day sat filing through documents and being present for meetings. every evening, he considered what state you'd come home in this time - or if you'd even come home but he recognises that the marechaussee phantom would let him know if that fate ever disturbed the flow of your relationship.
with the fontainian sunset painting the most gorgeous backdrop - nothing that could compare to your beauty in neuvillette's eyes, - you finally approached in one piece and yet not an inch of a warm smile on your face as your eyes meet him. silently, you turn to wait for the aquabus. had he said something wrong? was you mad at him? neuvillette frowns, uttering your name quietly into the tense air but it comes out as a question.
"i'm sorry..." you mumble, furrowing your brows as you look up at the taller male. you couldn't deny he was handsome and you wondered if his partner knew that, "do i know you?"
that's when neuvillette notices chevreuse approaching but her footsteps stop the moment she notices that the man had already engaged in conversation with you. a defeated look accompanies the sorry smile that she gives neuvillette from behind you and he realises exactly what happened. his lips part but his mouth is dry, not even the richest waters of teyvat could quench the parch of his mouth at this moment as his heart breaks in his chest.
you'd lost your memory at work? the work that you did under his command? neuvillette grimaces when he realises you were still awaiting his response, his saddened eyes softening as they lower to you once again.
"my apologies, i mistook you for someone else." he sighs, turning forward to face the oncoming aquabus' arrival. yes, he mistook you for his dearly beloved, the one who held the key to his heart. he takes his step onto the aquabus, following behind you as he remembers that last kiss you shared at the station earlier that day. oh, if only he hadn't taken those kisses for granted.

Part VI
BSD Characters: Self-Aware! Teruko Okura, Self-Aware! Fyodor Dostoevsky, Self-Aware! Howard Philips Lovecraft
Genshin Impact characters: Liyue Characters
Reader: Fem! Adult! Reader
Warning: English is my second language
🐙 Your "adventure" has started at the top of one of the cliffs in Guyun Stone Forest. It took some time for you to get down. The cliff were slippery (either because of the sea or, perhaps, it was raining right before you got here), so, you tried to be careful. At the end, when you almost fall down, Lovecraft partly transformed (with his hands and legs are now replaced with tentacles) and simply crawl down, holding you, Teruko and Fyodor. You only hopped, that no one saw you. Transformed Lovecraft (even partly) was a strange, if not a frightening sight (for strangers).
And you jinxed it. Sailors from the Crux saw Lovecraft. And were thinking, that Osial got from his prison.
Crux left for the Harbor to get help.
While you and your friends trying to understand, what happened and how you got here.
🐾 Despite the fact, that you were knowledgeable about Teyvat, the situation didn't become clear. But, at least, you have a project of a plan. Go to Sumeru and ask Nahida for help. Maybe, she could give you some information on how to get home.
That's when a first stone spear fall from above.
If it wasn't for Lovecraft's strength, the spear would crush you.
Geo Archon's voice shake the ground.
"Osial! How dare you to show yourself! I will make you pay for daring to enter Her Holiness' land!"
Suddenly, everything became silent. Up above, you saw them. Zhongli... no, Rex Lapis and Adepti. For some reason... Xiao looked hesitant.
And golden draconic eyes stared right at you.
Next spear was directed at you.
"IMPOSTER! DIRTY SINNER! PAY FOR HEARSAY WITH YOUR LIFE!"
And hell broke loose.
Morax, Adepti, Mililith and Crux crew attacked.
👧👩🧓🐙🐁Teruko, with her ability and sword, and fully transformed Lovecraft were keeping mililith away, while Fyodor was staying near you, ready to use his ability, if someone get too close.
When Lovecraft saw the opportunity, he grabbed you three with his tentacles, and plunge into the sea, swimming away.
On his way, he sunk Crux ship.
Beidou's curses were heard for long time and far away from the Stone Forest.
🐾 You returned to land somewhere in Bishui Plain. All of you were wet, hungry and exhausted. You found an abandoned hilichurl camp and decided to stay here for the night. After some grilled fish for dinner, you fall asleep in one of the huts. Teruko was the first one to stay on watch. Then you. Then Fyodor. And, finally, Lovecraft.
You woke up because someone was pocking your cheek and because of some tasty smell.
When you open your eyes, you came face to face with Gouba, who was pocking your cheek, and Lovecraft, who was keeping an eye on "panda".
Lovecraft tilted his head.
"We have guests. And breakfast."
🐾 Xiangling and Gouba were gathering ingredients for some big feast, while Xinyan, Chongyun and Xingqiu were helping them. That's when they found "your" camp.
And decided to help you.
When Lovecraft and Gouba, with you in tow, left the hut, you saw, that Fyodor and Teruko were already up and sitting near campfire, with Liyue Team. And then, Chongyun saw you. Exorcist particularly jumped.
"You! Your energy... It's pure... I knew, I knew, she was fake! I told you many times about it!" Last part, Chongyun hissed through his teeth, looking at Xingqiu. He raised his hands in defense.
"I knew, but.. We can't do much against her."
You glance at Lovecraft, then at Teruko and Fyodor. While Fyodor does look like he understands more, than the rest of you, he still looked confused.
🐾You got your answers during breakfast. Apparently, you looked like Creator Goodness, that rules Teyvat. And, apparently, because of that, most people will hate you and try to capture you. And, maybe, because Ningguang already placed a bounty on your head.
And Creator's political power is enormous, so, people would be afraid to help you.
The situation was bad... Awful...
Suddenly, Xinyan almost shouted.
"Doctor Baizhu and Qiqi! You can hide in Bubu's Pharmacy! They managed to keep it closed from sudden checks from Mililith, because they would bother patients!"
Teruko raised an eyebrow.
"And how we will get here? It's in the harbor, right? We would be attacked."
Xiangling smiles.
"With two little helpers."
🐁 Yaoyao was a great tour guide. And, what was most important, she knew, where to find Qiqi, when she was picking up herbs.
Yaoyao also was very talkative. And, because she overheard, how Fyodor was mumbling in Russian, she couldn't leave him alone. She asked him to say names of everything around her in "strange new language". Fyodor answered her questions. Soon Teruko joined the "educational program." Chongyun, who was staying near you, "masking your energy" with his yang energy. Lovecraft was last in line.
When you found Qiqi, with some help from Yaoyao, she took you to Dr. Baizhu.
For some reason, Qiqi stayed close to Lovecraft.
🐾 You were lucky again, because Baizhu let you four stay, until madness calmed down.
For two weeks, everything was fine. You and Fyodor helped in Pharmacy, Lovecraft and Teruko helped with picking up herbs.
You managed to meet Yun Jin and Gaming. Both of them believed, that you didn't do anything wrong. They even offered to help you, if they could.
And then, a scared Xingqiu appeared in Bubu Pharmacy.
Ningguang and Rex Lapis were ready to look through every house in Liyue to find "dirty imposter".
And if people resist? Well, they will face the wrath of rock.
And, currently, they doubled the number of mililith soldiers on streets.
Fyodor remained calm.
"I have a plan. Can you call for Yun Jin and Gaming?"
🐾 You four were leaving Liyue. But you still can hear sounds of music, coming from the harbor.
Opera and Wushou dance. The destruction.
That got the attention of mortals.
But not Geo Archon's.
🐾 His draconic claws were squeezing your arm. His spear were aimed directly at your chest.
Teruko, Fyodor and Lovecraft were helpless.
They can't attack him, he will kill you.
They can't kill him. You have told them about Havria.
Morax bared his fangs.
A finch flew closer to you and Morax.
Animo swirls.
Morax pained roar.
And Xiao, whose spear was plunges deep in Morax's shoulder.
"Run, Your Grace!" Xiao grind his teeth, trying to keep his hold on a spear.
Lovecraft grabbed you.
You four start running away.
Up in the sky, you noticed familiar cranes. They ignored you. Flying to where Xiao and Morax were.
Tonight, Adepti were fighting Geo Archon.
_____
🐾 When you finally returned to the real world, and discover the portal, you asked BSD Cast to rescue some people.
They helped you four, despite, how dangerous it was. And you must help them in return.

◇ tags ◇ fluff, rex lapis in the olden days is a (lovable) menace
◇ a/n ◇ everyone shush and hear me out!!!!!!! smol dragon!zhongli draped around your neck and purring like a cat. that's it that's the post.
Tumblr media
"is that…"
"that improper animal… this new generation of disciples are just too full of themselves."
"the divine one is just far too lenient… i fear the young ones will continuously abuse their kindness."
rex lapis squints his eyes towards the whispers of the less fortunate souls, inwardly scoffing at the open jealousy in their words. it's your gentle touch that pulls him out of his musings, and he lightly cranes his eyes up to stare at your visage.
"this is quite a commendable feat, rex. to have such precise control over your physique… keep this up and you might even become an archon one day," you chuckle, fingers lightly tracing the small horns on the sides of his compact-sized dragon form.
he's unable to stop the instinctive purrs which are reverberating from the back of his throat, amber eyes closing in bliss as you let him curl even closer around your neck, though he takes extra care so his scales won't hurt you in the process.
"you know, a friend of yours came to find me the other day. guizhong, i think was her name? she told me about your… excursions."
the low purring immediately stops, and you hold back a laugh when you feel the little dragon shift uneasily around you.
"were those glaze lilies you gave me the other day from guizhong's little garden after all, hmm?"
".... maybe."
"oh, rex… you know how much she adores them."
"but you said you liked them the last time she showed you…"
"i do, but that doesn't mean you can filch them off guizhong's garden."
"but- she stole my treasures to give you those earrings last time, so now we're even!"
you had to laugh at that. the petty little squabbles from the younger acolytes are always one of your constant sources of entertainment, and this one is no different. you find the dynamics of this particular group amusing, and you can't deny that you might be a little biased when it comes to them. especially to the little dragon. he's witty and a little cheeky, just like all the hatchlings, but something tells you that he'll grow into an individual to be feared if he gains enough wisdom over the few hundred - or thousand, years.
you can only hope you'll be there to witness it when the time comes.
"i suppose, little wyrmling."
rex huffs, tail flopping back to your shoulder, snuggling closer around your neck.
Tumblr media
"you didn't have to do all that, you know. i think they deserve to be angry."
morax shakes his head stubbornly as he closes the door of your bedroom behind the two of you. his hand lands on the small of your back and he leads you further into the room.
"while i have seen you making many mistakes throughout the olden times, i know you will always strive to do what you can to make up for it. i would never wish for dominion, but as long as i walk upon teyvat, there shall be no being who gets away with besmirching your name. and especially not in the nation i've cultivated to honor your very being."
you sigh at his tenacity and turn to face him instead, resting your hands on his chest and giving him your best patient smile. the hard lines on his expression smooth out, and you can feel him relax under your touch. soon enough his own hands fall back onto your waist, this time softly palming the sides of your hips, like a kitten making biscuits.
"though i'm honored, i think it's rather petty of you to go to such lengths when all they did was gossip… people have been working hard to rebuild the houses, right? an earthquake is just going to render their efforts useless…"
"ahem…. i'll admit that it wasn't my intention to react in such an… overly dramatic manner. it is my mistake. i realize now that i should have controlled myself better."
"oh, morax… this childish side of yours truly amuses me sometimes," you giggle when you sighted the reddened tips of his ears and the way he's lightly chewing his bottom lip in guilt.
sometimes you still can't believe that the rex lapis himself could be so… adorable.
"okay, enough of that! creator worship time is over! i want my dearest zhongli now, please?"
he perks up at your wish and you step back to watch him shift into his mortal form. it takes him a short few seconds, but it always fascinates you, the way he manages to do it so elegantly and the magical way his body transforms into a familiar appearance.
slender fingers absent of talons reach out towards you, and you meet him halfway, fingers interlacing as you nuzzle into his chest with a satisfied hum. zhongli's deep chuckle caresses your ears and he maneuvers the both of you towards the nearby armchair. but before he can sit down and pull you on top of him, an idea hits you and you pull away slightly to tug on his clothes.
"can i play with your hair?"
"it would be my pleasure, dear."
with a pleased grin, you grab the various cushions and blankets from the couches nearby, making a small nest-like surface on the floor instead. zhongli sits cross-legged on it as soon as you plop onto the higher chair right behind the small area you've made for him, and your fingers automatically tug off the hairpin that holds his hair down his back. you unconsciously hum a tune of ancient lullabies as you continue on to play with his long strands of brown-gold hair, and the god of contracts lets himself melt onto your hold with a contented sigh.
thousands of years may have passed, and you might have lost the memories of your olden days with him forever.
yet, as you continue to spoil him with your sweet words and comforting presence, he realizes that your love for teyvat, for him, no matter which forms and the identity he takes, has stayed true and strong even without those memories.
and zhongli realizes that it's all he could ever ask for.
