ok so the thing is, the kiss really was the best way crowley knew to convey his feelings to aziraphale because nina and maggie were right, they do talk but they never say what they mean.
but that doesn’t mean they don’t understand each other, at least to a certain extent.
and crowley knows aziraphale
he knows that he loves books and plays and the stories made by humanity. he watches his angel learn magic the human way and finds out he learned french the human way and knows better than anyone how much he loves human food. he throws a ball to get nina and maggie together because that’s what the humans in jane austen novels would do.
crowley knows that aziraphale romanticizes humanity, loves the drama and the stories and every little thing that makes humans human.
and what could be more human than a desperate kiss asking someone to stay

As far as the end credits scene goes, I still stand by the fact that Aziraphale is smarter than everyone gives him credit for.
It’s easy to forget that he has the grace of an angel, he isn’t going to be abrasive and rude, although he can be, but most of the time he’s careful with his intentions. It doesn’t mean he isn’t aware of what is happening.
People are so blinded by s2, they forget that Aziraphale had no problem standing up for himself, in heaven or hell. He’s not one to get bowled over. So of course when Gabriel, archangel of heaven, shows up like that Aziraphale is going to try and figure out what’s going on. And when he sees how vulnerable a situation he’s in Aziraphale will help protect him.
But it also benefits Aziraphale. He’s not dim, he knows that there is something larger going on and he’s trying to figure it out. It’s a clue, right? And if you break it down, Aziraphale does figure it out. The Metatron in the end tells him they are planning for the second coming. And Aziraphale has a moment where he could still turn back. But he doesn’t.
Aziraphale is smart, and he’s brave, and he doesn’t back down. THAT is what I think the different expressions on his face are conveying on the elevator ride up. He’s going into battle, and he’s mentally preparing for it.

crowley drawing practice :3
[Image Description: a digital drawing of crowley from good omens. the character is drawn four different times throughout the whole canvas. on the top left corner, there’s a headshot of him looking sideways while wearing sunglasses. his hair is up in a man bun. he looks slightly confused. on the top right corner, also a headshot of crowley with the manbun but he is seen from a 3/4 back view. bottom left corner, is a headshot of crowley slightly angry. he is wearing dark sunglasses while in the position of driving / steering a wheel. his hair is short and slicked back. bottom right corner, is a half body drawing of crowley in the crucifixion outfit. her hair is long and falls down from a headscarf in curls. crowley appears confused. the background is a pale orange with darker orange squares behind each individual drawing. /end ID]

“Ssssssoo, snake-y enough?”
Nothing, just wanted to draw Naga Crowley, but make it less “half human up top with snake tail below” and more “snake-y all the way” cause my monster-loving self needed to indulge in this✨✨✨
Took inspiration from fantasy aspects and that one scene of Crowley shifting midway from full snake to human form (last slide but it looks so cursed :’D )
Hope y’all like ittt ;)
Alternate with Aziraphale (not pictured) being flustered-

i am consumed by the urge to rewrite carmilla with aziraphale and crowley but i have EXAMS
shitty photo from my copy of the book but it’s giving ineffable wives. it’s giving ineffable wives.
aziraphale in his castle, crowley in a carriage accident. aziraphale takes him in. crowley doesn’t want to turn him or kill him but he can’t help feeling drawn to him. aziraphale is bothered by his less-than-christian attitudes and his tendency to sleep until 4 pm but he befriends him anyway. tension and vampirism. is there a way to love a vampire without becoming one?
anyway i have four term papers to write but mark my words …
actually i’m looking for feedback as to whether you’d prefer the vampyre or carmilla

My brain hasn’t really connected the dots that Anthony is Havers.
So I’m just confused for a brain lagging moment whenever I read his name and think to myself; What is Crowley doing there????

Some other post (can’t remember whose) was making a case for Crowley having been a powerful archangel due to the ways he seems weirdly in tune with/aware of reality compared to other celestial figures, and they used his ability to sense demons approaching him/entering Earth as an example. And listen it was a GREAT post and I WILL be reblogging it once I find it again
But like…I’m also thinking that Crowley is a demon who doesn’t always act like a demon and canonically used to get, like, spontaneously nabbed by Hell to be punished whenever he did something too kind. And that’s not even getting into how constantly vigilant he is over Aziraphale. This guy has been looking over both shoulders for the last several thousand years and with very good reason
Idk. Anyone think that his demon-sensing abilities (contrasted with other angels’ and demons’ apparent lack of ability to track each other down) might have less to do with his original power level as an angel and more to do with the worst case of hypervigilance humankind has seen to date? I mean damn if I and my only loved one were at constant risk of being dragged off for torture I’d get real good at recognizing the warning signs too lmao

maintaining that the reason crowley asked for holy water in 1860-whatever was that he had the mother of all anxiety spirals after hell dragged him back from edinburgh.
like he’s gonna be rightfully paranoid at this point, he’s gonna have backup plans, he’d be like me and pack a little go-bag despite the low odds of needing it.
after he gets reprimanded by hell (or Whatever Happened There) he spirals for a decade or so until he reaches the conclusion that he needs the Nuclear Bomb Of Demon Deterrents.
yknow when a stranger knocks on your door and it’s probably just a jehovah’s witness or a fedex person but you grab a kitchen knife just in case? and you peek around the corner to try and see through the window? i’m picturing it as that feeling times a billion

how much would I pay for a drop dead gorgeous Crowley in an emerald green dress and his hair stands out like fire and maybe some diamond earrings and Aziraphale’s heart stops a little bit like it’s prom night

i often think about how Crowley can never get enough of Aziraphale.
since the beginning of time, they’ve been together. in heaven and on earth. and despite that, Crowley still finds Aziraphale “unpredictable” and can’t seem to go a single day without his “best friend”.
i don’t think i’ve seen a sweeter thing than them.
