ok know this is a basic answer but none other than the magic man himself mister gerard way :)
#interesting ask actually#because i always kind of saw him as the face of mcr and what it stood for#around the time i started listening to their band in middle school i was some kid who was angry at the world#& didn't know how to feel about all that anger#yk. all the usual angst bullshit#and i listened to mcr every day during seventh grade#& felt like it wasn't the end of the world if someone could write it into a song & make everything wrong not only sound right but feel okay#he was the face of his music for me#i was in one of the most tumultuous periods of my life when i discovered his music and he means so much to me#for being one of the only things that made that angsty little kid from all those years ago feel understood#that wasnt even something i could give myself but his music gave that to me#and gerard somewhere along the lines manifested into all the feels i got from his music#anyways this got long & i got emotional putting all this shit in the tags & ik its a long convoluted indirect answer to a v simple question#but yeah i couldn't thank gerard way enough for everything if i fucking tried#he didnt save me exactly but he sure as hell helped me save myself#asks#anon
