Sometimes I think back on purgatory and how wild it was. Like, think about it, everyone was immediately set on winning, no mercy, no talking. And of course people are still friends, but every conversation with someone from a different team is like rolling of risk dice of "will-they won't-they kill me" And among this you had Bolas, the fucking cannibalistic gas mask cult, WHO ADVOCATE FOR PEACE. It's so absolutely insane that of all the teams, the one most likely show mercy is the one who are half-naked and scream incoherently. Like even with Bad, the one they hated the most, they still wanted to be honourable, there are many times where they ask for a fair 1v1, and every time are let down. Day one they shared the coords of their spawn. And then later on invite people over to have moments of peace. The fact that while deciding to wear gas masks and eat people, they also decided to build a castle that would act as a fight-free zone where people could share theories. In almost every situation (unless it was one of the events/competitions) they wanted to talk things over. Of all the teams, the one that had gone feral and rejected the fucking air of all things, was the only one to not revoke kindness.

imagining creating a minecraft server where the streamers stay together talking theories, they’re so into the lore and events they got the past weekend talking through discord at late night, after that just playing random games, some of them off stream, because they ENJOY and LOVE to talk with each other. imagining creating a minecraft server where everyone can talk and have a solution if they have a problem instantly, they try to communicate every single thing if is uncomfortable for them to do. with different languages, cultures, personalities, time zones.

qsmp is something just alex would create, and the admins put so much effort into everything, every small detail, attending everyone. i learned so much with them, i’m so grateful to follow this project.

I want to talk about q!Bad's burning presence in the Purgatory just by being logged on. Today I only watched Green Gay Ninjas and the whole time he was on, they were very much careful about even going to the surface, telling q!Bagi to hide because "q!Bad is roaming and he's out for blood".

GGN did not even cross paths with him the entire day, and yet, and yet, the threat of q!BBH potentially waiting for them if they went to the surface was so fucking insane to experience (positively insane). They spent most of today underground, hiding under the surface, and q!Roier calling himself a rat for using that tryhard 1 block water technique kind of fit perfectly with how they behaved today. They were quiet little rats progressing through caves in search of resources, but were so terrified of being killed they barely even saw the sky.

It very much felt like an old folktale, of a menacing dark figure that will kidnap whoever recklessly wanders the night without being careful. Very much on brand with q!BBH. IMO the imagery of him being out for blood is even scarier from a player perspective than seeing all the kills in the chat box.

fuck it i want to throw my hat into the ring: although bolas “won” purgatory (as much as anyone can win the game of a sadistic voyeur who calls you sinners and forces you to murder your friends and loved ones), it was team GGN that really SURVIVED it, and who overcame it. They were the ones who had moral codes, who only did what was necessary against their friends and who, even after their separation, had the most people on the boat back to the island when all was said and done. The Eye never broke their minds like Bolas, or their spirits like Soulfire. They played the game and got out of it when it was over and I don’t think it’s appreciated enough how much they took it into their stride.

I would say more but I can’t articulate my sheer amount of love for this team despite the fact they got “terminated” (I don’t think you can ever truly destroy a team with that much chemistry lmao - see q!Etoiles, q!Fit and q!Bagi in the resistance, q!Mouse and q!Fit’s interactions on and off Egg Island, the “big boy” nickname… and that’s just from a huevito perspective!!) , and I honestly think that it’s a testament to all of their characters that they made it to the boat to escape. q!Fit carrying q!Bagi, q!Roier acting on survival instincts and fighting his way to the boat despite leaving behind his family, q!Etoiles getting there at the last second, bringing up the flank behind his team,,,, i’m so normal abt them you’ve got to believe me im sooooo normal

Summary of yesterday:

Team Soulfire: Constantly on edge, trying to make a good secret home, scared for their lifes, teasing each other about their crushes

Team Gay Ninjas: Getting everyone they can online, trying their best to get the quests done, Etoiles and Roier getting blue balled of PvP

Team Bolas Rojas: “Yo if you could lactate chocolate milk and offered me some, I would absolutely say yes” and constantly hunting down Pac

Purgatory gave us some great things and a lot of awful things.

In spite of the admins driving a wedge between us all on purpose, let's do what we can to mend the rifts.

I'm a Bolas main, I'm hugging Soulfire and GGN mains. I'm sorry yall were done so dirty in a lot of ways. We were all wronged, let's move past it and stop giving the toxic admins what they want.
