every day i thank god that my mom is supportive of my design headcanons for characters because if i had to answer her questioning me about why i do it, i’d probably lose it

#kee draws#oc#lion#well. lion motif anyway#Bromeliad (oc)#yw flower people i kept him out of your tag. he doesnt deserve ur gaze#(no Bromeliads arent carnivorous plants#but google brought them up when i googled carnivorous plants and i thought it was funny and it stuck)#rambling about the mask design for a sec#it was a happy accident that purple inverts to green! at least roughly his shade. because i was not. drawing any more red/green combos lol#i almost went with teal accents since they invert to roughly his shade of red. but was talked into gold by some friends#which i think is the right choice!#and shout out to batsoupart for suggesting the gold swirls! really toes it together nicely :]#anyway i wanted the mask design to have the vibe of being made by someone who had certainly seen Brom -#- or at least had been given descriptions from someone who jad -#but that they also definitely didnt get very close to him (since if ur all that close to him ur probably gettong gnawed on)#hence how the mask has eyebrow petals even tho Brom himself doesnt#or how it has big fuckoff teeth but his actual teeth -aside from the 'tusks' - are small and needle like#but the fear makes you prone to exaggerate#anyway he was an asshole and got himself sealed away in the mask + sword#serves him right. hes a dickhead (affectionate)#feels good to post oc art again!

I get that they probably are trying to make the gigantic robot lizard as unscary as possible but who's idea was it to give the alligator fuzzy fleece skin
There isn't a closeup where it's still enough to be sure but that sure looks like puppet/mascot suit fleece to me.

#I'm finding out about princess and the frog ride stuff late#im not sure it's fleece but like. they made the crocodile guy fuzzy#it doesn't look like it's even stretching all that good its moving like it has a fabric skin#did the rubber they made ursula out of not age well or what#makes more sense to me to stamp scale texture into a rubber skin than to like. make it look like a giant stuffed animal.#plus it would like. bend and stretch in ways that fabric doesnt#like the way skin does#like the way the skin of the other characters they showed did#it's like. someone somewhere said 'make sure the animatronic looks exactly like the costume' so they had to commit to that#I'm impressed with literally every other part of this figure is why I'm so focused on the skin#would be nice if the eyebrow shapes on top of the eyes moved even a little bit but that's a nitpick all else considered#i will also say that i am impressed specifically by the hand poses they chose#i dont think this figure's fingers articulate at all but the pose they put it in makes it really difficult to tell as it moves and rotates#maybe they arent even final skins who knows#so much about this works so well its sort of weird to me how the skin stands out#i didn't mention the articulated stomach panel#i appreciate that they gave him dedicated gut motors to make squash and stretch happen#but it also makes me wonder why they didnt give that eyemask shape around his eyes any movement. the whole thing could squish up or down.#tons of expressive potential squandered

i think it's a big point a lot of people misunderstand. lucifer... cares for people, but not in the same way. mazikeen has idolized him since he saved her as a child- usually calls him 'lord lucifer' or something along those lines. she's respectful because of his power. i don't think either of them have actually fallen in love with another.
not that neither of them are capable of love. i think they could, maybe, if the circumstances came for it. for the right being. but it would be so, so hard.
and you'd really have to make me want it. in the show, i couldn't much care for deckerstar. doesn't make sense to me. also, i can't wrap my head around any characters from vertigo being genuinely romantically involved with a cop for an extended period of time. just because they're all incredibly off the walls. but in the case of lucifer, he doesn't need to debate morality. hell, he knows his morals are somewhat askew from what people view as "normal". but that's a note for another day.
anyways, i don't care for this ship, but this being added really shows that lucifer doesn't. care, exactly? like sure, it's nice to have her around. but i don't think he's ever explicitly told her he loved her. and being constantly loyal to him kind of prevented her from coming into her own for a little while. absolutely loved it when in the 2018-2020 run, she ended up basically telling him to fuck off when she was running her own little antique shop. it's nice.
