Seeing people complain about Anya telling Damian that she can read minds before Loid/Yor is so mind boggling to me. Because even if we ignore the fact that Anya is scared of being abandoned by Loid and Yor if she tells them the truth, or the fact that Damian is someone her age/a peer, and it's common for kids to feel like it's easier to tell things to their peers then to their parents... even if we ignore all that, it was ALWAYS going to Damian. I feel like Endo has been hinting that for a long time. It's a recurring theme/gag that Damian questions if Anya can read minds... and I feel like Endo has also been building up the fact that Anya and Damian actually are in pretty similar situations... they both want to impress their father/make their father proud.

LIKE THIS PANEL... Anya isn't mind reading here. There are no sparkles around her head. She didnt need to mind read! She KNOWS that Damian loves his father!

And there have been many moments in which she seems to show some reflection/thought after hearing Damians thoughts about his father (like during the dodge ball game, or her apologizing when they were making their paper animals)

Here Anya literally says she doesn't even know if Loid likes her, because he's so hard to understand. But she loves him, and believes in him. Isn't that EXACTLY what Damian is going through right now?

Perhaps people didn't completely register all these small moments bc of the gag/jokey vibe Damian and Anya moments have, but I feel like it's ALWAYS been there that Anya maybe relates to Damian in this way, which is why she has her moments where she tries to be kind to him.

Also I want to point out that, in a LOT of pivotal moments, Endo DOESNT tell us what Anya is thinking. Instead we have to guess or theorize... and we know that when Anya is doing a sobered up/serious expression, we should definitely pay attention. (Some random panels below to show u what I mean).

And in this panel, I feel like Endo is doing something similar... I mean look at Anya's expression!

So I feel like in this moment, where Damian is being honest, and kind, and true to himself-- it makes Anya want to be truthful too. And I don't think it came out of nowhere. I mean I was surprised LOL but I never thought it didn't make sense for this to happen.

I think people forget that Anya is probably the character we know the least about, and that a lot of her more "serious" thoughts are usually kept from us, but that doesn't mean she's not... thinking serious things lol!!

Opposites attract right?

We’re really different. Lyney and I have been friends since FOREVER, he was an orphan who was adopted and raised by this figure he calls “father” from what I’ve heard father is a fatui harbinger who was apparently a fellow Fontainian

Happy to announce that the first draft of LADYBIRD's first episode script was finished yesterday! Which means I'm finally going to start working on the visuals--- we're well on our way to the eventual release~

In the meantime, I'm trying to decide how I'm gonna go through the story beats that aren't covered in the episodes...I've been thinking about doing a series of 4-koma type comics to briefly cover these events. Despite appearances, it's not going to be a 'RWBY Chibi' analog or anything: there will be jokey moments and serious moments in both the full-fledged episodes and the more summarized stories. I just wanted to try playing with LADYBIRD'S chibi style, to see if I might enjoy using it in comic format...I don't think that I will, but it was a good try. ^^;

I also wanted to introduce the secret 6th member of the Ladybird main cast: Baby, the team car! ^^ Along with Nell, it will be joining the group in the first episode, and it'll be a big help to the girls on their globe-trotting adventure.

...Despite the weird way I'm talking, Baby isn't sentient or anything; it's just a car. ^^; It's just that I love when a story stars a special vehicle that's important to the main characters, so despite how bad I am at drawing cars, I'm going to make the effort for Baby~.

I think what we all have to remember first and foremost, is that Hangman does care about his pretty boy appearance.

But, they'd never used this tone on him before. Destino did mention something about experiencing a bad event. Perhaps that was what made Destino feel like this? Felix knew Destino wouldn’t end his life, but their friendship was something Felix wanted to keep a hold of.*

*Hope found this interaction incredibly interesting. The way Felix spoke of Destino before they came in was of genuine care for the Absol. Sure, it may have been embarrassing stories of the Prime, but she could see the Gengar spoke with great fondness about these events, even blushing at times. Perhaps…? No, Felix couldn’t like the Absol in that way. It was clear that Felix saw Destino as a really, really good friend. She couldn’t understand why though.

Now Destino. Destino was an interesting one to Hope. When the Absol came in, they had a bit of a jokey tone but there were also actual undertones of anger and hurt in their voice. She wasn’t sure if Destino saw Felix as a friend or as a tool to use for their own gain. Clearly Destino had this Gengar wrapped around their claw.

And the tone they used when threatening Felix. She never expected something so sinister to come out of them. How often had Destino threatened Felix like that? Felix flinched a bit with the mention of ending their friendship. With this hour she had interacting with Felix, she quite enjoyed his company. So, seeing him flinch like that made her feel angry.

Hope knew one thing for certain. She didn’t like Destino. How on earth was she going to survive taking the Absol up to the surface? No, she only needed to be with them until she could drop them off to the Guardian. That’s all.*

There's a lot of focus on how important Sonic is to Tails, how Sonic very obviously helped Tails by taking him in and raising him up and helping him build confidence and etc etc, and all of that's true, by all accounts Tails was pretty miserable on West Side Island and tbh probably no one even noticed when he disappeared. Or if they did, they shrugged and just moved on with their lives.

But . . . something I think is often overlooked is how important Tails was for Sonic, too. Yes, even back then. Maybe especially back then.

I know I just made a jokey post about how Sonic parentified himself (and he really did), and in real life cases of parentification are very serious and psychologically damaging, but this isn't real life. This is a video game (and comic and cartoon and—) series about anthropomorphic animals. So in this case I think it's fair to say, okay, while obviously a child raising a child isn't the most ideal scenario for a variety of reasons, not the least of which being that both children are homeless for a good period of time and are also fighting a technofascist would-be dictator, actually, having Tails around did Sonic way more good than harm, because in a way, that responsibility was something he actually really needed, even though I don't think he realized it.

And yes, I can explain, thank you so much for asking.

You see, before Tails, all Sonic had to worry about was himself. Which, yes, is lonely—but also really liberating in the sense that, if something happens to you, you don't have to worry about what's going to happen to anyone else. You can take all the risks you want because the only person you're hurting is yourself. And for someone who is naturally a risk taker, like Sonic, that can be dangerous. Especially considering the specific risks he's taking in fighting a technofascist would-be dictator, being willing—and even eager—to do riskier maneuvers over potential safer ones could very easily get him killed. It didn't in Sonic 1, or in Sonic CD, but who's to say how long he could keep that up?

So then Sonic 2 happens, and he finds and adopts Tails as his little brother. (Or Tails finds him, whichever way you want to slice it.) Now all of a sudden, he has someone who is relying on him. I mean, don't get me wrong, Tails isn't a slouch in Sonic 2; he can bust up badniks too, even if he's only four. There's a reason why Sonic thought taking him along would be a good idea, and it's because Tails is fast and smart and capable. But he's still only four. Sonic still ends up raising him. And it's because of that, because of having that responsibility, that I bet Sonic ended up actually thinking before he did things, at least a good chunk of the time. Not only because "the kid is going to copy everything I do and some of this really isn't safe for him" but also, "if I get stomped to death here, who's going to look after Tails?" of course, Sonic is pretty cocky and so in his mind the odds of him getting stomped are very low. But very low, or even very very very low, is not nil. It's something he has to consider now. Obviously he's never wanted to die, but he also didn't think much about it before adopting Tails outside of situations like Labyrinth Zone on South Island where there was just so much water. But now he has to think about it. Because if something happens to him, this kid is alone again . . . and once they leave West Side Island, this kid is alone in an unfamiliar place, with a technofascist would-be dictator who knows his face and his name and probably would enjoy stomping him to death, too.

So obviously, Sonic adopting Tails majorly benefited Tails, because now he had someone who cared about and would take care of him. But I think it's fair to say that Sonic adopting Tails also majorly benefited Sonic, because speaking from personal experience, when you have someone who relies on you, you're much more likely to make sure you make it home no matter what else is going on. And sometimes, that really can be a saving grace.

You tripped. It was a stupid accident. After the show you tripped over an amp and landed on your arm. You swore you heard a crack as you felt a rush of unbearable pain course through your wrist. You eyes went glossy as you held back cries of pain.

Quickly standing up, you made sure no one saw your accident and made your way to the dressing room you shared with two other dancers. You’re wrist was already a pinkish-purple.

You attempted to remove the costume and change into your normal clothes, which included a sweater that could hide you wrist. The only problem was you couldn’t remove the top without flinching in pain.

Tommy knew something wrong when you weren’t there to greet him at the bottom of the stage. He left his celebrating band mates to see if you were in his changing room, where you usually go to change or wait for him, but yet again you were no where to be seen. Thinking you were off running an errand, he sat and waited for his wife.

Meanwhile, you were still in the joint dressing room grunting in pain as you attempted to put your arm in the sleeve of the sweater. The other dancers stared at you funny. You’ve always been against asking for help, ever since you were young. You were afraid that if you did so you would be seen as weak and helpless, so you opted for smiling the pain away. You decided to search for your husband, knowing that he would be able to sense something is wrong even if he can be a bit of an idiot at times.

“Hey, baby, you rocked today,” you smiled widely as you entered the dressing room, “why aren’t you out there doing your usual shenanigans with the boys? Something the matter?”

“I was just looking for you. Are you okay?” He asks, his usual jokey tone gone and replaced with a serious one. “You just ran off as soon as we finished.”

“Oh I just ran to the bathroom real quick,” you lied as you moved to sit beside him on the couch, “I didn’t think you would mind if I changed since I was in the vicinity of the dressing room.”

You must have let out a whimper of pain as the fabric of your clothes irritated your wrist when you moved. “Everything alright?” He wasted no time in questioning.

“Yep. Nothings the matter, really,” you assured, facing upwards to kiss his jaw. You didn’t mean for your sleeve to move and show your already swollen wrist.

“Shit, babe, what happened,” he sat up straight, eyes glued to your hand.

“I just tripped. It’s nothing. Just a bruise,” you try and wave away his worries.

“Fuck, hon,” he sighs, motioning you to reveal your wrist fully. There is was, the look of sympathy in his eyes. “That’s more than a bruise. That’s broken, believe me when I tell you I know what a broken bone looks like.”

“It doesn’t even hurt that much!” You argue, standing up as you attempt to hide the true amount of pain you were in when you move. You failed.

“No,no,no. Missy,” he shakes his head standing up and grabbing both of your coats and bags, “c’mon. We’re off to the ER.”

The drummer ushered you out the dressing room and down the corridors of the venue as you both bickered about if you were fine. Nikki, Vince and even Mick chuckled to them selves as they watched Tommy struggle to convince you to exit the building. “I don’t want you to miss out on a party because of me!” You try to convince Tommy as he stood rolling his eyes at you, one hand holding the door open waiting for you to follow.

“I’m sure it’ll be exactly the same as the other ones I’ve been to,” he shrugs, “can always make up for it by going home and drinking two bottles of vodka Mick style.”

“I’m not weak, Tommy, I can handle a pinch,” you breathe.

ok yes cool! this is probably gonna be very half baked because like i said all of these things intersect but ill try to explain myself here

as a thief of light, vriska is a child of void who desperately wants to grasp light and wield it for her own (ive talked about this in the past in more detail). her death was a failure in doing so, because death in homestuck doesnt remove a character from the comic, it removes them from the plot. characters in the dreambubbles are tangential, they are not /the main story/. vriska was introduced with the gaggle of side characters who were never going to escape this fate and make it onto the main cast post act5, and if anything her struggles to avoid this fate and claw her way into the main cast only succeeded in dragging tavros down with her, but not in supplanting his original position as fated for the main cast (see what i meant when i said all of these things are connected)

vriska ultimately dies and is denied access to the "relevant" and "real" parts of the story, relevated to the dreambubbles, the place where all the offshoots and side characters who only exist tangentially to the main cast dwell. in fact, the ONLY reason we get to see her in this scene- the only reason this scene happens- is as a conclusion and punchline to hussie's preceding scene (the one where he dies via LE).

hussie represents at once the pinnacle of void (shit that doesnt matter and doesnt make sense, and exists just to be funny and is mostly entirely detached from "canon" events in the plot at least nominally), and also the author and thus an avatar of light (he's literally writing the plot, in charge of what is and isn't relevant).

from what i understand, the immediate surface level meaning of the proposal scene here is as a dig at the common reader interpretation, both joking and serious, that the reason vriska outgrew her role as a side character and started dwarfing other characters in relevance to the plot across both halves of arc 5 is because hussie is in love with her, either as a character on in a waifu sense. hussie proposing to vriska and then continuing to stalk her is a jokey confirmation of this.

however, importantly, we later learn that what hussie was trying to give to her was, in fact, EXACTLY WHAT VRISKA WANTED: a ticket back to the world of the living- the world of relevant characters. this scene was a literalization of hussie as an author supposedly giving vriska more screentime and relevance than warranted purely because he likes her.

however, this ticket to relevance is delivered wrapped in void. vriska is wandering a random dreambubble in the literal void (and even when you read it youre clicking through a void in a unique sequence only repeated during callbacks to this exact scene), we're surrounded by horses (signifiers of void due to the fact that they're funny and have dubious relevance to the story despite how often they pop up- a manifestation of void as things that exist in the story but are irrelevant to the "important" things in it). most importantly accepting this ring would have been tantamount to accepting a romantic overture from hussie which vriska literally does not want, but also symbolically refuses- vriska desires light and abhors void even when her own means are grounded in void, and hussie as a character is planted squarely in the domain of void, his intermissions being silly and fourth wall breaking and not in line with the light-filled aspects of the story that vriska desperately aspires towards.

as such she rejects it, and only realizes her mistake several sub acts later. instead, it is tavros and john, two breath players, who pick up the ring and, by acknowledging it as a tangible object they squabble about, accept it into the comic's actual story

i have talked about breath being the domain of plot contrivances in the past and as such its the best possible way to take this inherently silly object from the story's void and bring it into the realm of the rest of homestuck, where it can later be imbued with light to the degree it becomes the object several plotlines circle around near the end of the comic

notable in this is also that vriska's active attempts at seizing relevance end up failing, but the actual ways to (nominally) bring her back to the realm of the living are 1. bequeathed onto her in forms she sure as hell would not know to be grateful for in the moment (see also john punching her in retcon), and 2. doom her to retain irrelevance even while living (id have to go more in depth into the retcon as a whole to explain what i mean, but needless to say if vriska had accepted hussies marriage proposal she would have been stuck in the realm of silly half-canon void nonsense with him even if she had nominally ceased to exist in the dreambubbles)

Cait - "Why ya always so happy? There's nothing in this shit tip to be smilin' about." While Cait can appreciate a good joke here and there, Sole's constant happiness can really get on her nerves. In her mind unless there's a dead group of raiders in front of you or a huge pile of alcohol, there's nothing to be happy about. She can't comprehend how that stupid smile never leaves Sole's face.

Codsworth - "Glad to see that the Commonwealth hasn't dampened your spirit, Sole!" Codsworth is beyond happy that the ruthlessness of the Commonwealth hasn't affected Sole's attitude or personality. He feared that when they left the vault that they'd become hardened or cold or even worse, a raider. Its certainly an easier life. But as time went on he realised that he should have had more faith in Sole. No matter what happens he knows that Sole will always be that person who always offered strangers a kind smile before the war.

Curie - "Your attitude is just amazing! I am so lucky to know someone so, what is the word? Upbeat? Yes?" Curie loves how happy Sole is! They never fail to make her laugh with their witty jokes, even if sometimes she doesn't quite get them. Curie and Sole are a pleasant pair to be around and they're known for their beaming optimism and bright personalities.

Danse - "Your constant state of eudemonia is refreshing, but perhaps toning down the jokes would be more professional, soldier" Danse likes a good joke or funny anecdote, but in private. Around Elder Maxson, citizens and other soldiers, especially squires, Danse likes to keep up him professional persona to ensure he completes his mission. He likes to set a good example for the squires, the future of the Brotherhood, and he finds Sole's constant witty remarks to be distracting and irrelevant. He does find Sole's optimism to be inspiring though.

Deacon - *Whole lot of uncontrollable laughter* When they get started, they don't stop. These two are a nightmare pair if you ever want to get anything done with them. Fits of laughter are a given with Sole and Deacon. Agents of the Railroad either roll their eyes or chuckle silently to themselves as this comedic duo enters HQ. Deacon is glad to find someone who can match his humour, even one up him sometimes. He believes that life is too short to be wasted worrying about everything every other wastelander worries about. He's here for a good time, not a long time and he's glad to share that same outlook with Sole. However, when the time comes these two can be serious and have a heart to heart conversation. This just strengthens their friendship with one another and they both know what they mean to the other.

Dogmeat - "Bark bark!" Dogmeat loves how Sole is always happy and ready to play! Sole always has a dog treat on them with a smile. He doesn't quite understand the jokes though..

Hancock - "That damn smile just makes my day." Hancock's a flirt. Whether he means it or not, that's another story. He loves to comment on Sole's trademark smile as it only makes them smile more. He finds it refreshing to see someone so happy in this world of misery. The only way he can be that happy is when he's full of alcohol or his lungs filled with smoke or jet. He actually admires Sole's constant happiness and when he's had a few drinks, Sole's jokes are suddenly a whole lot funnier.

MacCready - "Do you, you know, ever stop smiling?" Our dear old MacCready is slightly confused by Sole. Why are they always so happy? Why do they smile all the time? Is their face stuck that way? He always chuckles as when he has that last question in his mind, he recalls the silly little story he always told Duncan, 'If the wind changes, your face will be stuck like that!' At times he finds it slightly annoying, they could be surrounded by raiders or super mutants and Sole would be cracking jokes like there's no tomorrow. Part of the reason he is so annoyed by this is because he's jealous. Sole and MacCready alike, they've both had horrific stuff happen to them and while Sole can carry on with a smile on their face, MacCready is struggling to get from one day to the next.

Nick - "Your attitude about the ol' Wealth if refreshing, a few folks 'round here could learn a thing or two from you." Nick loves being around Sole. Their cheerful personality is infectious and a few smiles and jokes really lighten up the mood. In Nick's line of work he sees a lot of shit and hears terrible, terrible stories. And while there is a time and a place for jokes, Sole always manages to brighten the day of Nick and whatever client he has in the agency at the time. The pair always end up having a 'joke off'. Nick is smart and quick witted, but so is Sole. They fight to always have the last word, usually earning an eye roll from Ellie.

Piper - "Oh Blue! Seriously stop! Nat is going to prefer you over me!" Piper and Nat love Sole and their jokes. They are a pretty light hearted family and Sole fitted right in with them. Piper finds Sole a joy to be around as they are so different from everyone else in the Commonwealth. They always have something funny to say and their smile is enough to turn Piper's bad day into a good one. The only time Piper ever dislikes Sole's upbeat personality is when a serious situation arises and Sole struggles to keep their wit under control.

Preston - "General, your wit never ceases to impress me. Your positive outlook is really inspiring for the soldiers." Preston hasn't got one bad thing to say about his general. Whether its because he's loyal to the cause and its leader or because he genuinely hasn't got a problem with Sole is another story. But nevertheless Preston can see how it impacts the soldiers and if Sole has a smile on their face then nine times out of ten, the soldiers will have one too. The Castle is such a lovely environment to be in, everyone's all so happy. All thanks to their general.

Strong - "Why is puny human always so happy? Smashing makes Strong happy. Only smashing!" Strong, like with most things, doesn't really understand why Sole is always so cheery. The only thing that makes him happy is smashing things to smithereens. How Sole can be happy when they are not smashing things is a mystery to our big, green giant.

X6-88 - "Sole, I understand that you use humour as a coping mechanism but if you would be so kind as to stop. That would be fantastic." X6 is a professional. So professional in fact that he doesn't believe that he should talk to anyone unless its to do with a mission. Sole's relentless jokes and witty remarks are childish in X6's eyes and therefore unprofessional. He finds them unnecessary and they have nothing to do with the task at hand. He does find it fascinating how after everything they have been through that they can still walk this Earth with a smile on their face every single day.

this is sort of a standard competition show, with some joke elements, as well as some mystery elements!

one of my fave object shows if im being honest, 10/10 i am actively awaiting new episodes i love the music/sound choices!! a lot of object shows that have both serious and jokey moments get criticism for not balancing them out properly, but in my unprofessional opinion this one does a good job on that! oh also ngl the elimination method is pretty original i think. i didnt pay MUCH attention to the animation but that doesnt mean its bad! its very good actually! just not outstanding is all im saying

character rating... this show doesnt suffer from too many characters syndrome! all the characters are. well. unique and memorable ! the host in particular is very silly and i love him. 10/10 no complaints

queer rating: 9/10 clock is gender believe it or not

writing: pretty good i dont have much to say abt it tbh, again no complaints

as for tropes.. a lot of the time refill station is a png-type object vase is.,.. a vase. not quite a plant. uh. yea. i dont think theres a specific "nice one" character in this show! but that honestly just means most of them have pretty original personalities

i know this section of my tropes page is missing but the host is both a tech type host (pretty sure a clock counts as that , right?) and kind of animated differently, not quite in the same way as an algebralien but similar.

overall pretty funny show! make sure to check it out, its really interesting and fun.

You go around this fandom acting like youre some unproblematic princess who loves everybody equally when really your a mean and selfish little asshole who thinks she is right about everything. Your work is not special enough for your ‘better than me’ attitude to be acceptable, when you offer good quality work for our space maybe Id get it but you dont. The funny thing about this anonymous message is that, based upon the language given and how they’ve approached me, this appears to be somebody in my current fandom, somebody who clearly knows me and the work I produce, and by extension someone I would most likely know myself, and yet they still don’t have the gall to come up to me without anonymity to protect them and say “hey Bea, you may have hurt my feelings, can we talk?” to try and figure out a solution to whatever problem there may be. So that clearly shows me that you aren’t looking to resolve conflict here, you’re just trying to hurt me.

And mission vaguely accomplished, because last week when this came through I was very hurt, not by your insults regarding my work, but because I was suddenly questioning every interaction I’ve had within the glee fandom. Why? Because I care about how I’m perceived. My biggest online rule is that I never want to make somebody feel anxious or worried when it comes to entering a fandom space. I may have differing opinions to somebody, I may not like your ship, and to be frank there are people in this fandom that I flat out don’t like very much, some even in my close circle, but why would I go out of my way to make their day/life miserable? If I can coexist with them peacefully, I will do so because I have no reason to chase them away. They’re not hurting me, nor am I hurting them if we’re both just going about our days. Why would anybody want to tear somebody else down like that, why would anybody want to chase someone out of a fandom because you don’t enjoy their content?

You seem to know about that, as you’ve clearly demonstrated here, why don’t you tell me?

So no, anon, I don’t love everybody equally, I’ve never claimed that I do, but I do pride myself on being a nice person. I would never impose my dislike upon the fandom because that would make the environment toxic for me and everybody else, why would I want that in a safe space? Everybody can exist without worry that I will be there to knock them down because I’m not that kind of person. And the funny thing is, for the most part I actually like everybody in the kurtbastian/Sebastian fandom, two of my fave mutuals are seblaine shippers, a ship I despise! So calling me out for being unaccepting or ‘two faced’ as you say, seems slightly redundant.

Secondly, I don’t think I’m right about everything, and I’ve never claimed that I do in a serious sense. It’s a common joke amongst every fandom to say “This is canon now” or “I’m right” in regards to faves and hcs. That’s never anybody claiming that they are actually correct about something to the point of everybody else being wrong, and anybody who uses these jokey terms literally doesn’t get the reasonings for their existences. Nobody is actually claiming to be above anybody else, I can assure you, and I for one have never once said that. On my blog, my Sebastian opinions are correct to me and most of the time, me alone, do you happen to disagree with them? Awesomesauce, on your blog I bet you have a great perception of your favourites. I’m not forcing anybody to agree with me. In fact, I much prefer it when my ideas are solo to myself, because I can then prove that I work well with originality.

I apologise that you don’t find my work good enough for this fandom space. Here’s a really good idea for you my friend…don’t interact with it then. I’m not forcing you to read my essays, like my shitposts or look at my fanfics, I’m honestly too shy to advertise them properly anyway. You’re not under any obligation to enjoy what I do, you are subjecting yourself to it by reading. Don’t do that to yourself 💛

In response to your post about the sub and dub VAs, I think in sub because the delivery is more playful, it makes Suguru’s storyline more heartbreaking. Knowing he was a soft, silly, playful young man who felt like the world as it was couldn’t offer him happiness hurts your heart far more. Whereas the dub VAs delivery as more serious and teetering on exasperated makes it easier to understand why Suguru would have gone to such an extreme. Because he comes off more solution based on the delivery. I think both performances are lovely for those reasons

Omg truueeee i get what u mean. To me it was about the fact that lowkey this is the only time geto gets to be Himself beside the movie, so its important 2 me that he gets to show all facets of himself. I like that he’s silly n goofy :,) it’s such a key thing and he doesnt really stop being sort of teasing n playful even after leaving the school. Also i feel like they heavily leaned into the “geto is gojo’s stabilizer” interpretation, which is true to an extent but geto and gojo are also equals in many other ways, which to me is also super important for their characterization and i feel maintaining his jokey, more lax attitude was one such way they executed that well.

I try 2 have the benefit of the doubt w dubs cuz i find many dubs such as crunchyroll or funimation have weird translations which can automatically make the VAs line work change from the OG. Also just cultural/language things can be a barrier, i can overlook that :P For example one major thing i love about the sub that i can ignore in the dub is the way the sub VA says Gojo’s name :,)
