Evil Wolverine holds his hand out to take the corpse and KUROGANE OK
I’m going back to the previous page with Kurogane and only just noticing that his arm was coming apart at the seams. Now it’s EXPLODING as he forces himself forward.
Someone commented in the last chapter that it looked like his arm had stopped working after Syaoran's attack, and that seems confirmed! His arm wasn’t working so he grabbed it by the wrist and RIPPED IT OFF so he can still use the sword with his other hand.
Which is like, Kurogane making a pattern of RIPPING OFF HIS ARM to try save someone he loves.
And speaking of we can also see FAI surging forward through the pain of all his injuries to try and save Lava Lamp as well, which is also brutal to see! They are both so heavily injured they could not even stand a few seconds ago but here they are forcing themselves forward in a last ditch effort to save their son.
We hate to see it! We love to see it!
It’s Clamp all the way down!

How do you generate ideas for both plot and characters? I’m one of the hundreds who is swooning and getting her breath caught at the “what’s this, Granger?” moment and I’d love to know how you came up with the idea for this in particular + how you usually come up with other wonderful moments that constitute the glorious Lionheart saga.
Oh, gosh, you're lovely. When writing is good — and this is a big conditional, because sometimes writing is like riding a horse and sometimes it's like wrestling an octopus, and you can rarely predict which — I don't necessarily think about the Process. It's sinking into the world and going, "Okay, action." There's an outline lurking behind it, and latently I'm considering some miscellaneous higher-order ideas about theme and structure, but I'm not writing the book in order to talk about those themes; the themes are in the book because I'm writing it and I'm interested in them. I can't very well help it, they're gonna end up in there no matter what. I don't have to worry about the architecture when I'm doing the upholstery, if that makes sense.
Discovering the more specific character beats and exchanges like the one in Chapter 64 are one of the ineluctable joys of creation. Sometimes, I think of a line while I'm walking down the street, jot it down in my Notes app, and carefully, meticulously develop a context where I can deploy it. Other times, I'm standing there in the scene and a guy does a thing, and I'm as startled as anyone.

okay so turns out i've never posted about these two here so please welcome Hannus Barbarous (college of lore bard and famous playwright played by @anonprotagging, is also responsible for the cultural phenomenon that is Scoobus Doobus™) and Biscott Cortinarius (mycologist and wizard by training, necromancer by necessity, played by me and currently investigating whether or not people are the fruiting bodies of a grand cosmic mycelium)
they are neither married nor divorced nor necessarily even on good terms but Good God They Sure Are Something™

It’s done!
The directory of all the various DC related books (that I own) has been completed!
Not all of the scans are mine, when other people have shared for the main series and spinoffs over the years, but a very solid chunk are my scans of all the ‘unimportant’ material. (If other people had good scans, I opted to save my own time, even if I could scan my own copies, basically.) And now it’s all fairly organized in one easy access list!
Includes: Conan, Kaito, Yaiba, the novels, movie manga, educational manga, activity books, tokubestuhen, archives, game guides, etc.
Now that it’s caught up, I’ll try to keep it up to date when I get more books in the future.

||. thor misunderstanding earthen housing norms in the modern day is SO funny to me to think about. He's doing his best, but between being from another planet with far more advanced technology (and much more "archaic" culture customs) on top of also being a PRINCE, I would imagine some normal practices and understandings of things simply don't click with him more than others.... Not because he's not smart. Thor is incredibly intelligent. ONLY because of the huge culture divide.
But... that said: the concept of having neighbors who own their own land right next to yours, but the plots of land are TINY ??? absolutely crazy to him. Why aren't the plots of land BIGGER? why don't more people utilize it to farm crops???
Also don't get him STARTED on the idea - or nature of - apartments.
