(1) -Yes, I am that kind of artist. Yet, not in the conventional way. I encourage people to go in guns blazing when it comes to drawing something new, then coming out analyzing what they know, and what they need to learn more of right away.

-Here, I broke down the anatomical pieces of Nour and Narinder's face with the same labels so you guys can understand this weird invisible pattern that I follow in my work. Doing this with any animal you're attempting to draw greatly improves your line confidence when drawing different face shapes. Also understanding the biological function for why animals look a certain way helps you keep consistency.

(3) Time to throw any artistic guilt you have for heavily referencing people's art OUT THE WINDOW and start ANALYZING PEOPLE'S WORK YOU WANT TO BE LIKE✨ I've always done this, having a reference of someone else's amazing work right next to my own drawing so I can try and understand how they make their magic work! No shame, no embarrassment, nada. Pure, unadulterated will and spite that I would be just as good as the artist who made me so motivated and happy with their work! I couldn't figure out how to make Nour's face both sheep-like, and humanly expressive, so I looked at a LOT of Zootopia and old Disney art for help!

(2) With how I draw narilamb, I'm still working on it (as you can see) but I wanted to break Narinder's face to be fluffier and slimmer, while Nour's face would be shorter and flatter. If you look at it for too long, it's absolutely going to look weird, in the way that if you look at Anna from Frozen for too long she starts looking really weird. The anatomy isn't meant to be correct or consistent, it's meant to convey the emotion and energy I want out of the characters in that moment. If you're able to properly get that across, then you don't need to think about how broken something looks, as long as your eye is happy enough to trick your brain into thinking what you're seeing is canny.

(4) Yeah, I hate this part too. It's going to look like shit at first. I can't even look at my art from a few months ago when I was figuring out their designs... God, so fucking ugly. If it weren't for the shittiness of those drawings, I would have never gotten here! Wading through the "trust the process" stage always really sucks, but it's absolutely worth the relief of when you finally get something to look right.

(5) Art is work, yes. It's stressful, it's long, it's straining, its draining, it's exclaiming, blah blah blah. But, I try to keep my art FUN. If I find my artwork becoming slow as I depressingly drag my pen over my tablet, I'm failing. You MUST keep spirit and life in your work. The spirit of emptiness or the life of sadness can have a very meaningful place in art, but those can only exist with keeping work light, easy, and fun! If you're stressing how a specific thing looks or how you can't get something to look right no matter what, FUCK IT. Draw something to bring the flavor back in your work! Hiii ! I have a new Mii to share !

Her name is Nour Le Fox, aka Nour 3000 ~~

Okay then... I decided to present a Mii that I've used for a long time and in several games. I think Nour is the best example of how I reuse Miis. So I'll present her through her history :

Nour has be created because I had to make a Mii wearing the Tails Costume in Super Smash Bros Ultimate! I think it's a fun way to use Mii Costumes on this game. That's why her color palette is Orange and Blue : it's Tails' one. And she was made to be a Tails alter-ego, a shy nerdy optimistic guy. (a bit cliché, that's why her name was Geek 3000 at the first place)

I've created a lot of Mii just to wear Costumes in Smash but this one... this one was particular, I LOVED her !

So I decide to reuse her in my second Miitopia Switch adventure ! And she was litteraly the best character !

Her enthusiastic personality made her really likeable. She became friends with everyone. The scientist from my previous adventure was cocky and fierce and Nour is truly the opposite of that! It was so refreshing ~~

She had a really funny dynamic with Junji Star (the purple one) where he seemed to be fascinated by her, even though he was very egocentric.

I never finished this adventure and it makes me sad because I know that I would have loved to follow Nour until the End.

The last time I played with her was in my last Tomodachi Life Island !Once again, she was really appreciated.

And one fine day, she started dating Mauricio. Mauricio was the most popular guy of the Island (a good guy if you ask) and at first I wasn't sure I was really okay with this couple (mainly because I thought Mauricio was gay ngl), but over time, this couple has truly become my favorite!!

The two ultimately had a lot in common and Nour brought out the nerd side of Mauricio, and Mauricio the loveable side of Nour.

The two even ended up having a child: Feldupine. Maybe I'll introduce her one day. (Mauricio will have his own post for sure, he's my favorite.)

Voilà! The complete story of Nour. It always makes me funny to think that originally she was just supposed to be a practical Mii to wear Tails' costume and that she's been through a lot since then. I will continue to use it, I can't wait to see it for a long time!

AESTHETIC

loving slasher and horror movies, despite your family just not understanding at all ★ deciding to teach about these films because there are layers to them and it’s fun for you ★ finding it interesting that you still have a passion for these films, even after your life turns into one of these movies, when you’re attacked by a killer one day out of nowhere ★ being essentially a final girl, and having to move, but still teaching despite the fact that you can still be found out. but it’s fine, you can’t just quit your life just because one weirdo tried to kill you. you’re a survivor. you will always be a survivor. 

HISTORY

★  Nour was raised by two immigrant parents who had no idea what they were getting into when they had Nour. At a young age, Nour proved to be hyper-active and headstrong and happened to do whatever she set her mind to, and wasn’t what they expected in a daughter. However, they weren’t put off by this at all. They had already had a quiet, well-mannered son. So they thought having a daughter who spoke her mind, balanced off their family. And even though they followed certain Persian traditions, they weren’t strict, so they weren't super strict with her.

★  At a young age, Nour knew that she wanted to teach. Teach what? – she didn’t know.  But she knew she wanted to teach people, because at a young age she discovered she was a good teacher. She would teach her fellow students how to read when they couldn’t keep up in class, so that the other students wouldn’t make fun of them, by teaching them about her favorite stories. Typically they were stories her mother told her. Stories that she heard that were based on fairy tales, basically, or myths. Nothing too scary.

So, when she did discover the horror genre by accident, one day, when her teacher read her a story involving a witch, she was so excited that she decided that that was all she was going to read. This led her to stories in her own culture that were scary and other cultures.

Which eventually led her to a sleepover, where a girl put on the movie ‘Halloween’.  The movie, though not as scary as the books and stories she’d been reading, had still scared her, and had set off something in her. It had made her want to watch every horror and slasher she could get her hands on. and from then on out, she would watch every horror and slasher she could find, even if they were bad.

Her parents and her brother did not understand it, and thought it was a waste of time. And her friends, though she would talk about other things, and she was still charismatic, thought it was a bit annoying that she was more interested in these movies than them at times.

They thought she wouldn’t be able to do anything with her knowledge in these movies, until she was given the opportunity to study them at university, and eventually was given the opportunity to teach others information about them. 

★  While teaching, she was excited, because she’d finally met someone who shared her passion for horror. Though they seemed more interested in romance movies, they still watched horror and slasher films with her, and were cool enough to be around and were affectionate towards her. They made her smile and made her feel loved. The two of them had an awesome time together and often went out whenever they weren’t teaching their courses or preoccupying themselves with the media.

However, one day, a killer went on the loose and their target was Nour. They were obsessed with Nour and her class. They thought that Nour’s interest in slasher’s would make an interesting game and led her on a game of cat and mouse around campus and around town.

She was fine with it, at first, because she thought that she could handle it and that no one would get hurt because she knew her movies. However, 3 students were killed and so was her significant other at the time. Which left her feeling guilty and in therapy. It didn’t help that she had almost died after having fallen out of a first story window.

The experience had left her confused, hurt, and with some mental illness troubles. But she refuses to let it have her quit her job. She’s moved towns, but she still works. She hasn’t stopped, won’t stop. She still loves the slasher genre. Still loves teaching. 

HEADCANONS

★  A fan of the movie ‘Halloween’. It was the first slasher she’s ever seen, and it’s the one she revisits every Halloween. Even after her incident with the killer who tried to kill her, she still rewatches it because she loves Jamie Lee Curtis and thinks Michael Meyers is a fun movie Villain. 

★  Enjoys talking about any movie from the bottom to the top. She can be over the top about it, too. It tends to annoy her friends and loved ones, but she can’t help herself. She just has a habit of taking things apart and bringing it down into bite sized pieces. It’s just how she is. It’s fun for her.  

★  She’s only been in love twice. Once with a girl in high school who took her out on a date that she didn’t even know was a date, and another time with another professor who was killed by a killer who wanted her dead. Now, she’s falling for someone else. 

 ★  Loves visiting coffee shops, but not Starbucks type shit. Real stuff. 

ABOUT

Even though Nour’s been through a lot, she’s rather optimistic about the world around her. Or rather, she tries to be. She’s been hurt by the world and the people in it, sure. But she knows that not everyone is like that, so she tries not to let the fact that she’s been hurt get to her head. It’s hard sometimes to think in a positive light, but she has to if she wants to live a decent life. Or that’s what she tells herself. She’s living a decent life currently though, surviving after a deep loss and being manipulated, and she wants to try new things just in case she’s not given the opportunity to live life to its fullest, or if some copycat wants to cut her life short.

You can just so tell immediately how much love you have for these characters, it’s there in how carefully you’ve thought about each prompt for each personality.

And it was so fun to read the three of these in a row - how your spot-on characterization flowed throughout them. I love reading headcanons and how everyone interprets the characters, and there’s so many details that I was just like “oh!” about. These were a few of my favorites:

How Hunter is able to pick up your uneasiness when you’re together, how he works so hard to soothe you and take things slow (Inexperienced Reader)

Tech searching for common interests - that enjoyment of quality time as he gets to see you so excited when talking about something you love (and ahh - the messages!) (Relationship Quirks)

Wrecker and receiving Physical Affection + Words of Affirmation, these work to perfectly for him. Just the confidence boost from hearing from you - I remember some teasing about him in the show - so the thought about Reader being there to soothe them and provide comfort makes me so emotionally mushy. (Love Languages)

They were all so thoughtful and I had such a big smile reading and thinking about these! And if I had to pick a fave - it would be your Love Languages. That’s a topic that I always enjoyed thinking about (esp for fics & characters), and how you explained each one for both giving & receiving for TBB made such perfect sense!! 💖

"Sune's Christmas meets The Lord of the Rings"

44 years have passed since one of the most appreciated Christmas calendars in television history, "Trolltider" was shown for the first time. This year it is time to bring it back to life, in a new vintage. "Sune's Christmas" will meet "The Lord of the Rings", says director Lisa Farzaneh.

In Vårby gård outside Stockholm is a large studio where a fairytale world has been built. It is dark and cool in the building and in the middle of all the technology and props move trolls with black eyes and pointed ears.

This year's Christmas calendar is called "Trolltider - the legend of the Mountain troll". Kjell Bergqvist, Malte Gårdinger, Ossian Skarsgård, Nour El-Refai, Helmon Solomon and Matilda Gross are some of the actors.

This year's Christmas calendar "Trolltider - the legend of the Mountain Troll" is recorded here during the spring. There is a high tempo during the recording, as 24 episodes are to be recorded in ten weeks.

Famous names such as Kjell Bergqvist , Nour El-Refai and Malte Gårdinger can be seen among the actors .

We take the memory of old "Troll times" and translate it to today. It will be a new story but more exciting. "Sune's Christmas" should meet "The Lord of the Rings", although it should be suitable for the whole family, says Li said Farzaneh.

Even though it will be a new story, the audience will once again get to know several characters who were there back in 1979. The fairy Dorabella, the sullen witch Mara, the dutiful wether, the grumpy master of power Gorm and the kind, but slightly stupid troll Kotte, are all the characters who are now back.

In 1979, the Christmas calendar "Trolltider" was shown for the first time. In 1985, it was repeated.

Honoring the memory of "Trolltider"

"Trolltider - the legend of the Mountain Troll" is said to be based on an old legend. In it, the mighty Mountain Goblin ruled over the North, but together the four peoples – the goblins, fairies, witches and humans – managed to put him to sleep with the help of a magical amber.

But one day someone finds the stone and breaks the spell that keeps the troll asleep. Then the human Saga and the troll Love find each other and together they try to find the stone and use it to prevent the Mountain Troll from waking up and taking over the world again.

When a classic Christmas calendar is brought back to life there is some concern about disappointing people, but according to Lisa Farzaneh it's mostly a "peppery nervousness".

We want to honor the memory of "Trolltider". I belong to the generation that enjoyed that Christmas calendar the most. As long as you honor it and keep what was good, I think you can feel the same love, she says.

The main characters Saga and Love are played by Matilda Gross and Ossian Skarsgård , son of Stellan Skarsgård , respectively . They see it as a great opportunity to be included in the Christmas calendar.

For me it is unimaginable and I am very grateful. It's a nice story and a nice script. It is a dream to be included in the Christmas calendar because it is something extra special, it is something popular. It's really wow, says Matilda Gross.

I say the same. I've always seen the Christmas calendar and it's always cool. This Christmas it will be special when you see yourself. It's so much fun to be in this environment, says Ossian Skarsgård.

Today, a scene from the first episode is being recorded. It takes place in the troll village where all the trolls live in their little huts. There is snow on the ground and lanterns hang from the ceiling. Outside the image is a smoke machine that contributes to the foggy forest environment.

It really is like entering a fairy tale. It will be a cozy Christmas calendar, says Matilda Gross.

A nice friendship

Ossian Skarsgård, who plays the troll Love, describes his character as someone with two sides.

He is a bit of everything. Playful, curious and nonchalant. He is also a bit rough on his sister but she deserves it. All this is very new to me, but it's fun to play someone other than myself, to be this troll, he says.

Love becomes close friends with Saga, who is a character full of energy and who always stands up for others. Matilda Gross describes Saga as a brave girl who never gives up and who constantly wants things to happen.

The filming of the Christmas calendar hasn't been going on that long, but already a friendship between the two actors has started to emerge, just like in the story.

Saga and Love develop a very nice friendship. They have a common goal and they do it together, says Matilda Gross.

In December 2020, in connection with the Christmas calendar turning 60 years old, SVT conducted a poll in which the most memorable Christmas calendar of all time would be chosen. Then "Trolltider" ended up in third place. When it was shown in 1979, it became so popular that it was repeated a few years later. Now that it is to be recreated, according to Lisa Farzaneh, it will be important to hold on to the memorable.

I have clear memories of invisible tracks in the snow and that it is a bit whimsical. This is going to be great, she says.

Something about Bonama, my fantasy world

I realize now that I never truly disclosed any information about the world I like to imagine and the characters living in it. I will be correcting this mistake.

In my world, there is a magic island called Bonama where my characters live. It is some sort of ideal world where anything is possible with a little bit of will and imagination, but there are adventures and sad things happening too !

Max is the only character who used to be a human in what we call the real world. There is some backstory to it, but Max doesn't really remember his precedent life. Sometimes he remembers very little bits and it haunts him because it is usually painful memories. It may be because he's recovering from some sort of trauma, he has indeed break down episodes every now and then.

Max is very curious about the island and likes to invent things, like way back machines, invisibility potions and the likes. Basile Patapon, usually called Nanard (a sweet nickname friends have given him), is Max's most beloved friend. He is a cute fox, very naive and childish, a free spirit really, only wanting to have fun, and also very affectionate.

Other characters include (though it is always evolving) :

Scratch, a clumsy tiger friend only trying to help

Frimousse, a raccoon who acts meanie sometimes but cares a lot about his friends, even though it embarasses him to show it

Nours, the big bear dad friend

Oscar, a wolf, the most well-known 'baddie' of the island. Is a good person inside but is dealing with internal turmoil making him mean and spiteful

Pinpin, a gentle rabbit only wishing to be useful and well-liked

Loulou, a funny and tender wolf, only craving to be understood

And many more ! I just need more time to name them and draw them... My main priority is working on some female characters.

Max and Nanard are the main protagonists still ! One could even call them the two mascots of the show.

The stories I like to imagine include adventures on the island, exploration of interesting places and people, fighting against the evil (especially redeemable baddies, but sometimes irredeemable baddies or abstract entities causing tragic events on the island), Max inventing and testing things, and slice of life moments like Max having fun with his friends (especially with Nanard).

I hope this explanation caught your interest, and I wish someday I can develop this lovely universe through my drawings and stories.

21- "i'm sorry i can't get up" C - "nighttime"

Forests in southern Nevarra grow thick enough to blot out the sky, trees with sweetly scented needles and trunks wider around than Noure though it isn't like the last of that is hard to be right now. A wraith flickering under the moonlight. White hands dragging on knobby knees made of bark leaving dark trails behind. Perhaps even the sweetness of cypress needles in the breeze isn't going to cover the sharp smell of blood.

Wet earth grips the bottoms of their feet viciously, selfishly, unwilling to let them go. Like Noure this time in how it clings to skin and chills to the bone.

Defining oneself in opposition and similarity. Noure looks up towards the moon and raises a hand, pale skin and thin bones and red blood and silver moonlight and deep dark sky. Figures they would find themself in a cemetery when they're dying.

They've used the last of their mana to get this far and it's running out fast. Bleeding out of them through the open wound of their chest. Sinking to the base of a cypress tree Noure drapes themself over a root with as much dignity as they can manage. Even with more blood on the earth than in their body Noure can muster energy for the drama of it all. Why go out with a whimper if you must go out at all.

Noure's fingers glow but their magic is dying too. Pain closing in around their vision to turn the corners rust red and run their breathing ragged. The cypress supports them upright but just barely. Just enough.

It wouldn't do to greet a friend lying down.

A new glow in the cemetery, conjured not by the moon nor by Noure. A true ghost walking through the trees. A voice carrying like needles shifting in the wind. "Why is it every time I see you it is because you have brought trouble with you."

It isn't really a question and Noure huffs a laugh, and when they reply their own voice is weaker than the apparitions. "Good to see you too Valor. I'm sorry, it appears I can't get up." They struggle to breathe now, the words taking too much out of them too quickly.

"I can see that." Valor reaches out and strokes their arm, less real than a breeze but it leaves the hair on Noure's skin standing up. Like a friendly stike of lightning Valor is, so unlike the way Noure burns. "Did you come here for aide or peace?"

Well if Valor is blunt and stinging too then there at least Noure can say they're alike. "I think it's too late for help now." Too late for many things, maybe too late from the beginning.

Valor's hand sinks through Noure's skin and instead of a breeze it's a storm. "Not necessarily but it will be soon."

Pain doesn't just filter through their thoughts it stops them from thinking entirely. "What do you mean?"

"I mean you have a choice, to accept my aide or accept the peace of death." Valor says it simply, maybe it is. Their presence rests under Noure's skin and warms them from the inside out. Keeping the chill of the earth at bay.

Once Noure would have said no without thinking about it. There was a time saying yes would have been too easy. Now though..

Sweet cypress fills their nose, mud hardens on their soles, blood drips slowly and weakly down their chest.

Noure uses everything to lift their hand and grip Valor's arm in return. "I accept."

Oo what type of parent would the toa Ros be

Ruben: Really laid back but extra fun. The type that can't say no to his kids when they give him "that face." The only time he raises his voice is when they did something they really know they shouldn't have, otherwise he spoils the shit out of them.

Ozara: The mother that feels like she's not spending enough time around her kids and freaks out about it, but is always there for them. Always taking them on adventures and pushing them to do what they want and encouraging them. The "yea, you can stay up even though Phoenix said get to bed" kind of parent. Does it just to get on Phoenix's nerves really.

Nour: Helicopter parent. Constantly worried. Probably the parent that says everything's a bad idea. Has an entire medkit prepared for any situation when they go on trips. Very loving and attentive.

NOUR SHAFIQ: Sister. Aslan is glad that now he’s moved back to London, Nour is also here. He has a feeling she’s trying to get as far away as possible from their meddling mother’s attempt of getting her married. Regardless of his parents asking him to, Aslan has been keeping an eye on his sister. Aslan knows that people here are much more forward than those Nour has experienced in the past, even if she insists that she’s a ‘capable adult who doesn’t need her brother escorting her about town, thank you’. In some ways Nour is that same child who he used to have makeshift wrestling matches with in the garden, eager to laugh at the right joke, but there are other times when you start to see the woman she’s become. Much more intelligent than anyone’s given her credit for.

RITA SKEETER: Avoiding. He didn’t know it at the time, but the drinks Rita had unfailingly bought him weren’t just a kind welcome back gesture. They’d been old classmates, so Aslan should really have known better from her. But he hadn’t even seen the notebook or pen at the time. The next day he’d been in the paper, talking about an archaeology site he’d worked on in Egypt. It had been confidential information that he’d somehow leaked out with a little liquid courage and a pair of sparkling green eyes. But Aslan isn’t about to be fooled again, he has his defence up now. No, he has a plan of action in place now. If he sees Rita again, he’ll just hide or run the other way. 

EVAN ROSIER: Friend. While he doesn’t completely agree with the blood purity ideals of Evan, he is a lot of fun to be around. It’s a breath of fresh air to be around someone who isn’t always talking about work and is simply happy to let loose for at least a little while. While Evan has tried talking Aslan into joining the Death Eaters, Aslan remains uncertain. He’s had many halfblood and muggleborn encounters during Hogwarts and even in the years since. Some of them were smart, hard workers, good people. His parents have always engrained the importance of surrounding yourself with good company, never judging, so he has a hard time believing some of the things Evan tells him.

Our Guide to Coteries project for Halloween with @sarenhale​ has been the most amazing thing ever, and I can’t be thankful enough!

The FIFTEEN characters we created together in a coop, unique, and organic way are just top notch, and you guys should really meet them.

But here’s a tumblr exclusive of the process under the read me ;)

How did we do it? Well, this is how it happened. First, I poked Saren about “yo, wanna draw shit?” and Saren was like “yo, ya sure, whachu thinking about fam?”.

Then I came up with core group concepts, with individual roles. 

Here’s the “core” write up for The Alleycats (Vol.2), which is, like, the trashchildren we both love :p

The Gang: this coterie is composed of brutes and problem solvers of all sorts. They're the whip or armed enforcers of the sheriff. They can also make very interesting sabbat packs, but here let's do it as if they were chosen to have been embraced. Here are the characters: The armory (dex + tactical weapons), the bouncer (strength brawl, the kind that bursts out kneecaps), the survivalist (bladed weapons or gangrel claws), the Yakuza (kind of leader-type, charisma intimidation, extortion and some brains)

They were renamed “The Alleycats”, and if you recognize them, the “armory” became Nour, the Bouncer is Fynn, the Survivalist is Pat, and the “Yakuza” ended up being Ana (I removed the actual organized crime relation for sensitivity reasons, I had sang too much Karaoke in Karumocho :’)). Notice that I kept my descriptions genderless, so as to allow Saren to create out of pure inspiration. I’m not even sure I assigned each portrait to each concept as Saren had imagined actually :p 

So, after those were sent over, Saren drew portraits for the group’s mood, and when I saw them, I assigned to each portrait to a character concept (reworking it if needed to match the feel of the portrait), a name and a background. Saren confirmed whether they liked the feel I got from the portraits. “Does she look like an Erin?” kind of questions. Once we both agreed, we put them out together.

After expanding the palette from each set of portraits, I hunted down nice frames to make each group feel unique with its own layout visual identity, picked the right filler art, and boom, each book has its theme, mood, ambiance, characters. That’s why I posted, on each product, the back cover! To give you a little more feel of each group. Because of this unique palette, I could create extra characters (fillable sheets with portraits, names and core concepts) in PWYW DLCs in case your group of players needs some extra sheets. Had lots of fun matching the color scheme for each! And digging into other artist portraits to make characters that could fit in each coterie...

Then I filled their character sheets, worked on embrace situations (based on my Guide to Siring), chose a bunch of suitable clans to give options, and then created relationship options for characters to form a coherent group that’s multidimensional in how each character is linked to each other. Believable groups of PCs and NPCs are the best, and it’s always better if there’s agency!

These groups are easy to use to introduce new players to VTM 20th edition. I MIGHT update them to the V5 system, but sadly I can’t put that on the Vault. Yet.

Another note: I managed to make the sheets fillable thanks to Mr Gone’s previous works; I completely butchered his sheets with his permission to do so, and he was nice enough to let me ask him questions every now and then.
