Chapter 3: No Rest for the Wicked

Hiya guys! So here’s chapter 3, I’m really enjoying this series so far and I hope you are too! I’ll try and get back on my other one’s shortly since I’m starting to miss them a bit (I also need to get back on writing requests 😭!) but I do apologize if this chapter is written funny or if there’s a lot of typos or anything, I’m having to write on a computer due to my hands and I’m not used to it. Also Corduroy and Chenille belong to my mutual @hybridanafrost and I thank her for allowing me to use them 🥰! I hope you all enjoy~!

Later That Same Day

Yami silently flew to the Hideout. His mind just kept going back to the memory of William coughing in the hallway and looking pale. They both knew he was lying when he said he was fine, or that he would be fine. But Yami hadn’t wanted to call him out on it, William needed time to accept it himself and tell his son just how sick he really was and he was going to give his old friend that. Yami sighed and rana hand over his tired face, how he wished he hadn’t quit smoking right now.

He finally landed outside the much expanded Hideout. Over the years, as the Black Bulls each got married and began having their own families, Yami had asked Henry to give everyone their own living space. That way the Bulls could all be together but also have some privacy. And so far it had worked out very well, but now that meant the Hideout had expanded up and out in order to accommodate them all.

But Yami and the others didn’t mind. Because it meant they could all stay together.

Yami set his broom down against the wall of the Hideout before he moved towards the front door. Before he even opened the door he could already hear all the chaos and laughter happening on the inside, he couldn’t help but smile a bit. This is something he had always wanted for his brats; them to be safe, happy, and laughing.

He opened the door and immediately had to dodge a misdirected spell that came at him. He sighed and shook his head before he moved out of the way and closed the front door. The ones sparring were, as usual, Luck and Magna. Even as those two idiots got older they still sparred like they were teenagers. Meanwhile Magna’s kids Corduroy and Chenille just watched, Chenille with a nervous look on her face, and Corduroy with a grin on his face.

“ Wow dad you’re so cool!” Cory shouted as he watched his dad dodge one of Luck’s spells, Magna turned and gave his son a thumbs up.

“ Thanks son, that means a lot!” But as soon as the words left Magna’s lips he immediately got hit by one of Luck’s spells.

“ You shouldn’t have taken your eyes off your target Magna!” Luck laughed cheerfully as Magna growled.

“ I should have gone with mom to the fabric store,” Chenille said quietly.

Yami shook his head once again before he looked around the room. Henry’s daughter Alice was sitting on the couch, quietly reading the same book that she always read. Despite inheriting her fathers magic, luckily she hadn’t inherited her fathers illness so she could freely be around the other Bulls without the fear of siphoning their mana. Beside her was Aloys Adlai, who was also reading a book, he was exactly like his father but with his mothers magic. Beside him was Wendy Agrippa, Gordon’s eldest child and only daughter, she was sewing a doll just like father always did. She had the face of her mother, but her eyes and hair color were that of her fathers, and her magic was a variation of her fathers. On the other side of the room was Wendy’s younger twin brothers Thomas and Nicholas, they were the spitting image of their father in appearance and, in Nico’s case, magic as well. Thomas kept his hair slicked back like his father, while Nico kept his hair messy, that was the only way to tell them apart. The two were talking and playing with Maelie Adlai.

Yami heard a shout in the kitchen and watched Charmy and her daughter Lovely walk out with a group of sheep following shortly after. They had plates and plates of food and were setting them out onto the table. Lovely had inherited her fathers blue hair color and her eyes were the same color as her mothers, her younger brother Vincent followed behind all the sheep and began to set out the drinks. He didn’t like cooking or food as much as his mother and sister did, but he had inherited his fathers love of art and painting. Vincent’s hair was black like his mothers but his eyes were pink like his fathers.

Yami still had a hard time believing that Charmy had fallen in love with Rill Boimortier even though it had been nearly 15 years now since they had gotten married.

“ C-Captain Yami sir, you’re back already!” Ezio Roulacase exclaimed as he ran over. The young man looked identical to his mother, but his personality and magic was the same as his fathers.

“ Of course I am, did you expect me not to come back at all?” Yami asked with a raised brow, Ezio’s demeanor immediately grew nervous and he shook his head.

“ N-No sir! We just thought the meeting would run late.” Ezio said with a sheepish laugh.

“ How did Asta do at his first meeting?” Vanessa asked as she walked over. Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to look at their Captain. He grinned at them.

“ He did great, so you guys can stop you’re worrying.” Yami told them and he heard everyone collectively sigh in relief. He knew everyone had been anxious and had wanted him to do well, so now that they had confirmed that he did, they all felt a weight fall off their shoulders.

“ At least we know we raised him well,’’ Finral said with a laugh as he walked over to his son and wife. Yami nodded, they all had raised Asta well.

“ Where’s my brats?” Yami asked curiously, he saw everyone else’s kids but his own. Charmy suddenly pointed towards the back door with her thumb.

“ They’re outside with Ms. Charlotte,” She said as she watched their Captain make his way towards the door. “ Tell them to hurry up and come inside since dinner’s ready!”

Yami walked outside and saw Hikari sparring against her mother as Hana and Einar watched. He crossed his arms as he silently watched his wife and eldest daughter, they looked nearly identical in their fighting styles, except Hikari had adopted a lot of Yami’s fighting style as well. She was like the perfect blend of her mother and father. Yami was pulled out of his thoughts as he noticed Einar turn to look at him.

“ Papa!” The young boy shouted excitedly as he jumped up and ran towards his father. He jumped into his arms and Yami held him.

“ Hey kid,” Yami said warmly. “ Who’s winning so far?” He asked and Einar grinned.

“ Mama of course! Tata’s still trying her best, but she’s still always losing against her.” Einar said with a sad look on his face, he always called Hikari ‘Tata’, apparently it meant “Big Sis” in the Diamond Kingdom. At least that’s what one of Einar’s favorite books told him.

“ But mama’s not going easy on her anymore, and Hikari’s still managing to hold her own,” Hana stated as she walked over to her father and brother. Yami nodded, it was no surprise that Charlotte had stopped taking it easy on their daughter. She was a Vice-Captain now, and had proven that she was a fierce and capable warrior. So there was really no need to take it easy on her.

One of Charlotte’s Briar spells hit Hikari’s katana and kocked her back a few feet. Hikari was huffing and puffing while Charlotte hadn’t even broken a sweat.

“ I’m…not done yet,” Hikari panted as she doubled over to try and catch her breath. “ I still…need to surpass my limits!” Hikari continued, and Yami shook his head.

She had certainly adopted Yami’s stubbornness.

“ Hey brat,” Yami shouted, drawing both Charlotte and Hikari’s attention to him. “ You can surpass your limits after you get something to eat! Charmy said if you didn’t come inside and eat you’d never get another meal from her!” Yami added, of course Charmy didn’t actually say any of that. But he knew it was a sure fire way to get Hikari to stop training. As he expected the girl sighed dramatically before she put her katana away.

“ Alright, alright, I’m coming! Sheesh tell Charmy to hold her sheep.” Hikari grumbled as she rubbed the back of her neck, mimicking her fathers habit. Yami chuckled as he set Einar down and the young boy ran to his sister.

“ Take your brother and sister inside, I gotta talk to your mom for a sec.” Yami told her, his eldest daughter nodded and he ruffled her hair gently as she and her siblings walked past him and into the house.

Charlotte frowned a bit as she walked up to her husband, she didn’t need to be able to read Ki to notice something was wrong with him. His eyes held a seriousness in them, and maybe a hint of sadness and worry in them too. Had the meeting gone that badly?

“ What’s going on? Did Asta’s first meeting not go well?” She asked in concern, Yami quickly shook his head.

“ Nah the brat did fine,’’ Yami quickly assured her. “ It’s William. He…announced that he was retiring as Captain.”

Charlotte’s eyes widened in surprise, sure he had mentioned it the day before at the party, but she didn’t really think he would go through with it!

“ What? What made him decide to do this so suddenly?”

“ He’s sick Charlotte, very sick.” Yami said softly, and he swore he watched her eyes widen more and her eyebrows raise considerably.

“ Did…he say what was causing it?”

“ Nah, he said he needs time. So I’m gonna give him a while before I start pushing for answers. He asked that you and I not tell anyone until he’s ready.” Yami said and Charlotte nodded in agreement, they would both keep their friends secret for now.

“ And,” Yami continued. “ He’s appointing his kid as Captain.” He watched as his wife shrugged at him.

“ Okay.” Was all she said, she didn’t look angry or concerned, she actually looked like she had expected it.

“ You’re not worried at all? What if that brat loses control again and hurts someone, or worse, gets someone killed?” Yami asked as he crossed his arms, he watched his wife do the same.

“ Since when did you hold a persons mistake against them?” She asked curiously. She watched a red blush appear on Yami’s cheeks. She knew exactly what this was all about, and it had nothing to do with Alistar.

“ He won’t hurt Hikari, besides they’re not even in the same squad so the chance of her getting hurt by him is very slim. And in addition to that, Alistar’s gotten much better at controlling his emotions which also means his magic is under better control. It’ll be fine,” Charlotte assured him. “ And if for some reason it’s not, and he does happen to lose control and injures her, I’ll kill him myself.” Charlotte added firmly and Yami couldn’t help but snort and laugh at her words.

People thought he was the more overprotective of the two, but in reality, it was Charlotte who was the overprotective one.

Eventually the couple went inside to have dinner with the rest of the squad.

At The Golden Dawn Base

Alistar yawned quietly as he followed his father out of his office, down the stairs and corridors, and eventually outside. William had told him that he needed to tell him something privately and that he would need some help to do it, which meant only one thing: They were going to visit his mother’s grave.

Alistar didn’t like going to visit her mother very often. It wasn’t because he didn’t love her or anything, it was just…hard since he had been the one who caused her to be in the graveyard in the first place.

As the two walked into the graveyard and made their way to Zera’s grave Alistar used his plant magic to conjure up a small bouquet of flowers. You couldn’t show up empty handed, his father had said.

The two eventually made it to her grave and stood in front of it, William knelt down and placed the flowers on her headstone.

“ I’m sorry it’s been a while dear, I hope you haven’t been too lonely.” William said softly as he stood back up.

“ Hi mom,” Alistar said a birt sheepishly. “ It’s been a while, I’m sorry.” He apologized softly and William chuckled.

“ Your mother would understand. She knows how nusy we Magic Knights are, especially when they’re a Vice-Captain such as yourself.” William said as he patted his sons shoulder comfortingly.

The two fell quiet after a few moments. William, unsure of where to begin, and Alistar unsure of what was going on. It wasn’t very often that his father would ask to speak with him privately, the last time they had a discussion like this was when he promoted Alistar to Vice-Captain status.

“ What’s going on father, did something happen at the meeting?” Alistar asked, a tinge of concern in his voice. William smiled and shook his head.

“ No, it’s nothing like that. The meeting went very well, and I think Asta will make a fine Wizard King.” William said genuinely. Alistar nodded in agreement, he didn’t know Asta as well as everyone else did but, from what he had seen, Asta really was an amazing and kind person.

“ If the meeting went as well as you say it did then what do we need to talk about?” Alistar asked with a small frown and William sighed, silently asking his wife’s spirit to give him strength.

“ I-” William began but was cut off by the sound of a familiar static noise. The two men turned and saw Marx’s face staring at them.

“ Ah Captain and VIce-Captain Vangeance there you are, I was looking for you all over the place!” Marx said in relief, but his eyes began to move around as he noticed where Alistar and William. “ Um, is now a good time? I can go to another squad-?”

“ What is it Marx?” William asked patiently, he couldn’t help but be silently thankful that the memory mage had interrupted them.

“ Ah right, well,” The man cleared his throat. “ I just received word of a remote village being attacked by bandits. And supposedly these bandits are former Magic Knights. So the village leader requested our assistance. I thought maybe The Golden Dawn and the Black Bulls would like to take it on as a joint mission.” Marx finished as he looked between the two.

William noticed his son’s light up just a bit at the mention of the Black Bulls. Of course the young man was able to hide his feelings from everyone else, but he wasn’t good at hiding them from his father.

“ We’ll take the mission, but,” William said before he turned to look at Alistar. “ Alistar will be the one to lead them and will get to choose the members he wants to take along.” He watched his son’s blue eyes widen in surprise.

“ What? Why? Shouldn’t you be the one to lead this kind of mission?” Alistar asked in confusion as Marx quietly agreed with William’s statement before disappearing. William smiled gently before clapping his son on the shoulder.

“ Consider this your first real mission as the newly appointed Captain of the Golden Dawn.” William said before he turned around and began to walk away, leaving Alistar to stand there completely stunned.

“ Come on Captain Alistar Vangeance, you need to hurry up and head out.” William called as he noticed his son hadn’t snapped out of his daze. The young man quickly shook his head before nodding and running after his father.

In The Spade Kingdom

Yuno, Neva, and their three children quietly walked into the Castle with their guards and Castle servants behind them. Yuno hadn’t wanted servants when he first became king, but after a while he realized just how much they did to help the Royal family and keep things in order. So when Yuno officially became king he immediately raised all their wages to reflect how much he appreciated them and their hard work.

“ Your Majesties!” Ralph saluted as he and the others watched them walk by. Yuno instantly waved their salutes away.

“ You didn’t need to stay up and wait for us, you all should have gone to sleep.” Neva said quietly as she carried a sleeping Kya gently in her arms while Yuno carried Kito and Miku sluggishly walked beside her parents while holding each of their hands.

“ It’s alright, I had something urgent that I needed to discuss with King Yuno.” Ralph said with a serious expression, causing Yuno to frown.

“ It can’t wait until morning?” Yuno asked quietly, and when Ralph shook his head,he nodded before handing Kito off to one of his guards. “ Alright, I’m sorry about this,” Yuno added to his wife, who only smiled and shook her head.

“ It’s fine, just go do what you have to do.” Neva said softly in an understanding tone. Yuno smiled gratefully at her before he kissed his children on the head and gave Neva a gentle kiss on the lips.

Yuno quickly followed Ralph down the halls until they came to Yuno’s office. They walked over to the desk and Yuno looked down at a bunch of papers and maps that were sitting on the surface.

“ What’s all of this?” Yuno asked curiously and Ralph sighed.

“ Honestly we aren’t too sure ourselves. These coordinates are the last known locations of about 20 merchants that have gone missing in the last two weeks.” Ralph said seriously as Yuno’s brows raised in surprise.

“ 20 merchants in 2 weeks? How are we just now learning about this?” Yuno asked and Ralph shook his head.

“ We initially thought it may have only been a coincidence, or that people were making up false reports. Until we began noticing certain patterns,” Ralph suddenly began moving papers around until he found the right documents.

“ The merchants all had deliveries in the Lumi Kingdom?” Yuno asked with a frown as he began to read the papers over, and Ralph nodded.

“ That’s right. Now merchants go missing all the time due to the treacherous terrain that’s between us and Lumi, which is another reason we didn’t pay much attention to this, but according to these letters and other documents all the merchants that had been reported missing all made it to Lumi.” Ralph said as he began pointing at letters and receipts. Yuno’s frown deepend.

“ Are there any records showing that they left, or attempted to leave, Lumi? Maybe the merchants decided to stay there a while longer? Or maybe they died on the way back?” Yuno pointed out and Ralph shook his head.

“ That’s what I thought too. But from the witness statments and letters and documents it shows that all the merchants had plans to return to the Spade Kingdom. As for if they died on the way back, that’s someting I want to go and investigate if you’ll allow it. Things…just aren’t adding up, sir.”

Yuno placed a thoughtful hand under his chin as his mind began to race. Could there be something to this? Or was it just a simple missing persons case? His gut began screaming at him.

“ Investigate it. And ask for the Lumi Kingdom’s cooperation.” Yuno said seriously and Ralph nodded before saluting his King and walking out of the office. Yuno sighed quietly before he sunk down into his office chair.

Ther was certainly no rest for the wicked.

● So he *tried* to use horror movies to keep himself up, but he ended up scaring Mana, who wandered into the living room at one in the morning, with that technique. So now, he's sitting in the pitch dark living room of his apartment while his mom runs an early morning/late night shift, brainlessly eating popcorn as he does his homework (to catch up on his first hour, which he may miss some things in due to possibly falling asleep from now and then in that class) with fucking Sanrio shows playing on the TV in front of him. Bright ass pastels on a retro awful looking ass TV screen filter with the volume at like 12

● Yall think he's the sane one of TR, h a h

● When he actually manages to get some sleep, he gives zero fucks less about how he is, how gar off the bed he is, how much he needs to pee, the temperature, 3am munchies, that assignment sitting on the corner of his desk, NAH. All of it goes straight to hell when he hits the lights, slips off his shirt, and dives straight under the covers.

● On most days he'll just flop onto the bed and roll over to the other side like once, only once in the middle of the night

● Please he's so tired, stop the bullshit and raise awareness of Mommitsuya Appreciation Week (ToT)

● Dead tired, you can see the pure effort and exhaustion in his tired silver lashes as he just snoozes away

● Snores, but honestly it's tolerable

● Window is always cracked about 2 centimeters. It's broken.

● Everyone in his house wants to suplex twirl, slam, then smother a pillow into Peh-Yan's face while he's asleep, it's disgusting

● Always has his window open. It's snowing. It's raining. It's sleeting. It's a tornado. It's a wildfire summer. WINDOW. 👏 OPEN. 👏

-For so long there were speculations about Mana dying out of an accident but the confirmation he died out of becoming weaker and weaker after Allen attacked him is... actually quite horrible. He literally died in Allen’s arms while they were snuggling together this is the worst thing ever.

-Kanda’s “hey let’s go to Mana’s grave i want to check if he’s really dead” iS SO. IT’S SO. LIKE OF COURSE ALLEN LOOKS FUCKED UP ABOUT IT.

It’s so insensitive but can’t blame him when 1) he’s fresh from having seen someone he was SURE he had killed being alive actually, 2) we know Mana is technically Alive.

but still the absolute DREAD of this moment, never change Kanda

-ABSOLUTELY LOVE that they started fighting right afterward, Allen shared the most traumatic moments of his life with Kanda in a rare moment of vulnerability and it ends with the two of them beating each other up

-oghhhh Kanda literally talking about Alma and saying how he can’t believe Mana is dead for sure until he checked because of how traumatizing it was to see Alma was actually alive, end me

-”I believe that due to the circumstances it’s possible Mana is what we refered as the Grey Zone of the war” oh my god Kanda

Conclusion: first chapter since we left the flashback, first chapter since we see the gang back together, and yet this works SO WELL. Returning to all of those dynamics are SO worth it, i missed seeing them so much, and now my blood is pumping!!! i love all that’s hinted here!!! oh my god!!!

I’m so happy with this chapter and for once in a very long time i’m VERY looking forward where it’s going

Not to rehash this but I slept on it to put my thoughts into words. And I apologize in advance for this being long. But.

There is no denying that Alex Morgan has had an incredible impact on women’s soccer. Much like Pinoe. Both on and off the field, she has made great strides to better the game for everyone. And I love her as a player, I mean I may not have started actively watching woso until about 5-6 years ago, but even before then I knew who she was. And her being the one to help Mana Shim through *that* situation. It says a lot about her character.

That being said, when it’s time to go, it’s time to go. There has been this stupid trend in sports lately where older players refuse to retire because they think they still have more left in the tank (see: Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, I think even some MLB pitchers). And they don’t and they end up tanking their career statistics because they’re too stupid to just let it go. Now I don’t really care about stats but some people do. Stats (by the numbers) mean nothing to me, but stats by the actual playing are different. Why affect people’s perception of you as a player just because you’re too stubborn to quit? And then there’s Carli Lloyd but we’re not even gonna go there.

I digress but essentially this is what it comes down to: if Alex isn’t comfortable with taking on a Pinoe-style role and coming in as a super sub and being good for morale, then she should step back from the NT. AND that is also not the type of player we need at the Olympics, because those 18 players we take need to ALL be capable of starting (and being effective). I don’t have much of an opinion on Emma Hayes, but if she’s what you say she is, maybe this will be Alex’s wake-up call.

I also did not like that one comment about Alex strategically getting pregnant so she can miss the Olympics like what 😭

(It’s awful because she is far and away a better and cooler person than Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady AND Carli Lloyd but that’s unfortunately exactly the company she’s keeping right now.)

If I was the player that was causing a league MVP, championship MVP and top 25 ballon d’or finalist from playing in her natural position — I would be doing a lot of self reflecting and soul searching right now. Especially with a coach as knowingly tough to play for as Emma being announced as my new head coach. This is going to be a difficult transition for everyone, because the standards are about to sky-rocket, but it’s going to be especially difficult for older veterans who have been a little underwhelming this past year.

sooo can u tell us about the weapons/armors/items introduced during dantes reign ty

ehehe i have many things to say about those >:) putting it under a read more actually bc i had a lot of stuff i wanted to mention lmao

the armor of the rising sun! all it did was provide a damage/defense buff against dante, but otherwise it doesn't do too much. i reforged all mine to be a pretty ok mana set to wear around for fun, i wear it to the barn a lot. BUT. the armor was different for the actual generals. here's a screenshot of techno's

for him and the other generals, it granted strength/intelligence/health for the votes they received. buuuut it was bugged and actually gave that buff to you FOUR TIMES...

there's also the staff of the rising sun, a sunflower :D it shoots out an exploding bullet that is controlled by your crosshair, and it costs 10% of your mana to shoot. the generals had a better version that only cost 2% of your mana. unlike the rising sun armor, this still works exactly as it did during the fight. doesn't do a lot of damage, but it's very fun to use

while dante was in office, you needed to either wear a happy mask or have a dante talisman to enter any "government buildings" like the bank, the auction house, etc. they don't do anything now. when techno was mayor, you could buy a pig mask instead of the happy mask. it also doesnt do anything now jkfgjkh

other random items include the art of war, purchasable from the technoshop that adds 5 damage to any weapon and cost like 6m in materials to buy. VERY hard to come by nowadays since they cant be bought (i have 6 just for keepsakes hehe). there's the blood god crest, it gives you strength based on the mobs you've killed... obsessed with the blood god having a crest..... the shiny orbs, used on shiny pigs. the orbs dont do anything else lol

the shiny pigs gave out a few items themselves! there's the farming for dummies book, adds 1 farming fortune to farming items for a max of 5. i still have ummmmmmm a few after selling a couple double chests of them...

the shiny pigs also dropped harvesting 6, the only way to get harvesting 6 in the game as of now. they could drop shiny shards, used to craft the shiny rod, which just... makes shiny pigs walk faster 😭 they could drop a potato spreading, which makes minions randomly generate potatoes. i also have a few of those left

they could also drop potato talismans in case you missed one from the potato war :0

and now for some tragedy... during the resistance they had a very very VERY small chance to drop a pig/shiny relic, used to summon the ancient pig. there were only 7 available. since the resistance, most of them have been lost to wipes and scams, and there is likely only 1 or 2 left that we know of. if i remember right, one is on an inactive account and the other is ACTUALLY being taken care of and is on display on the player's island!

and finally, the ancient pig gave everyone an item. you could get an item that makes your pig pet fly :D

Yes actually! She has a version in Case Files (where she has her family as a treat, and she’s running around as a tiny gremlin during the events of the series and eventually grows up to be engaged to Kirschtaria to escape her Sealing Designation. Since Chaldea doesn’t exist and she doesn’t want to leave her family behind, she ends up in a fake proposal to dupe Clock Tower’s Carillon Observatory.

I have another version of her in the MoonCell for the Extra timeline, where things get complicated because her physical body is hidden under the Pacific Ocean and “sleeping” while records officially consider her deceased. Rin in Fate Extra, along with other mercenaries, were actually hired at some point to guard her before they parted ways and she was declared missing. The irony is that even though mana has depleted in that timeline, Estelle exists and serves as the last “string” to thaumaturgical systems, but is now kept out of reach of humanity forever (unless Pacific Ocean dries up). Her Extra self, in the Mooncell, is registered as an NPC made in her likeness.

I dont have much art of her though 😭

I think in general the idea is she’s there in Fate media, but she never interferes because she minds her own business most of the time :D

Day 17 : Someone i miss

Hai again 👋

Its gonna be a late post karena aku baru sampe rumah jam 23.16 and now having a baaaaad cramp cause its my first day on my period 😭😭

Someone i miss huh? My close friends know the answer but i dont want to talk about it now haha 😂. Aku lebih pengin ngomongin (mungkin sesorang) atau momen yang aku rindukan. Like i miss a lot. I dont want to talk about other people, i want to talk about me. Ya, i miss my old self.

Semua orang pasti punya momen terbaik dalam hidupnya. Aku juga begitu. Aku pernah menjadi orang yang berbeda sebelumnya. Aku pernah jadi perempuan yang percaya sama dirinya, ambisius, tau apa yang ingin dia lakukan, dan teguh sama pendiriannya. Aku kangen diriku di 2016-2018. 2 tahun terbaik di hidupku sejauh ini 🙂. Kalo flashback rasanya mau nangis karena aku bertanya-tanya "perempuan itu kemana ya?" Atau "apa dia masih ada di dalam diriku?". Banyak banget pertanyaan yang muncul dikepala setiap aku inget momen itu.

2016-2018 adalah tahun dimana aku meng-explore semua kemampuan dan potensi didalam diriku. Waktu itu aku melakukan banyak hal di perkuliahan atau di luarnya. Aku dapet banyak banget pengalaman. Ketemu banyak banget orang-orang hebat. Dan pertama kalinya dalam hidupku, aku merasa benar-benar bersinar. Dulu, 24 jam rasanya kurang. Aku ngga punya waktu buat ngeladenin overthinking. Pokoknya hidupku cuma buat berkarya, cari pengalaman, dan menikmati waktu terbaik sama temen-temen.

Ada banyak hal yang aku coba ditahun itu. Join di crastfm dan kepilih buat siaran di radio kampus, bahkan jadi anggota inti. Ikut aktif kepanitiaan event-event di kampus. Mulai dari jadi anak acara, anak dekor, sampe jadi anak dokumentasi. Ikut UKM marching band dan ikut pawai pelantikan keluarga keraton. Ikut banyak event di luar kampus, standup gunung, jogja mandiri marathon, fashion show brand lokal, dan acara konser. Ikut program internasional kampus bareng 5 negara Asia lainnya dan bikin video dokumenter bareng mereka. Bikin tugas kuliah feature yang mana ngebawa aku buat ketemu sama salah satu seniman hebat indonesia, mas Angki Purbandono. Ketemu sama komunitas fotografi yang unik di jogja.

Dulu aku gagal masuk kuliah di salah satu kampus negeri di jogja jurusan seni tari. Di 2016, aku ditawarin jadi penari di salah satu wedding organizer besar di Jogja dan nari bareng mahasiswa kampus yang nolak aku, bahkan sampai ke kalimantan. 2018 jadi program director di tugas kuliah program tv, belajar ngelead sekitar 15 orang lebih untuk pertama kalinya, LIVE on tv & youtube. Setelah itu ditawari jadi penulis freelance di sebuah agency untuk nulis di website. Akhirnya apply cv sama portofolio (cuman pake tugas kuliah haha) dan diterima. Kerja sambil skripsian. What a life.

Kalo dipikir-pikir, aku ngga akan kaya gitu kalo ngga ada dorongan dalam diri ini untuk explore semaksimal mungkin potensi dalam diri. I know my limit and i know damn well what i want. And i miss myself in that time. Dulu, rasanya ngga ada yang ngga mungkin. Ngga ada yang ngga bisa. Dan ngga ada hal bisa menghentikan aku. Uang? Aku rela sisihin uang jajanku buat kepanitiaan. Kendaraan? Aku rela naik transportasi umum kalo perlu (mostly, i have my friend who always help me), Takut? Aku ngga takut apapun saat itu, Kemampuan? I trust myself a lot that time.

See? I used to be a different person. Dan kadang, aku benci ngeliat diriku yang sekarang. Aku banyak menahan diri, aku banyak takut, aku banyak berfikir sebelum melakukan sesuatu. Menjadi dewasa bikin kita jadi banyak berfikir sebelum membuat keputusan. Dan itu banyak membatasi langkah-langkah kita. Bahkan aku ngga tau sekarang aku maunya apa. Aku ngga tau 5 hari lagi mau ngapain. I just live in the momment now.

Engga, not to sound ungreatful yaaa. Aku bersyukur, sangat amat dengan diriku di 2016-2018 kok. That girl raised me. Aku cuma suka kangen aja kadang-kadang. Kangen punya ambisi, kangen semangatnya, kangen energinya. I miss her, like a lot 🙂. Kalo bisa balik ke tahun itu, aku akan ketemu dia dan bilang "terimakasih yaa untuk semua tenaga, air mata dan effort yang kamu buat untuk dirimu di masa depan. Mungkin kamu cape dan lumayan stress sekarang, tapi aku tau kamu happy ngejalanin semua ini. Percayalah, momen ini akan kamu rindukan di masa depan. Mungkin di masa depan kamu ngga selalu merasa kaya sekarang tapi semua yang kamu lakukan sekarang sangat berdampak buat dirimu di masa depan. Keep going ita, you deserve all this experience ❤🦋"

I genuinely miss the game sometimes, but my phone refuses to run it again without freaking out. I hope it's a possibility when I upgrade. I do miss the less... insane combat. I was genuinely into the story (including the early chapters that people complain about) and would like for it to not be as... difficult to get through. I'm not good at the strategy of it all nor do I really want to think about 10+ things at once. I just want to enjoy the joyful angst of the lostbelts.

For context, I stopped just after India came out (never played it).

Ooh! The LB3 Ruler, right? From my own runs with him, he's really fun and a really good solo/CQ choice!

I'm F2P in Fate GO too. I only ever spent SQ in GSSRs because tbh spending money on SQ here isn't really worth it unlike in say...Genshin where there is a guarantee you will get who you want.😅 Even the new safety net Fate GO introduced is really steep and not accessible to F2P.

I got my Arthurs from saving SQ for several months and grinding pretty much every free SQ I can get! I saved up around 500ish SQ by the time his banner came up and managed to snag 3 copies! And with the current banner he has going right now, after two painful tenpulls, I finally have four! I want to roll more but there's so many good servants coming this year (CASTORIA RERUN! OBEROOOOON!😭💕) so I'm holding back and coping with the mana prism tickets.

I personally struggled in challenge quests and some annoying nodes on Gilfest/Nerofest. But from what I saw in LB6 beyond, the gimmicks seem really annoying/tedious ><! (The LB7 gimmick is just...wow. for spoiler reasons I won't elaborate but it really forces you to raise ALL your servants).

I do remember them giving us those revival cubes(?) In JP where you can continue the battles and revive your units with full NP charge without spending SQ or command spells. Wait lemme check my JP...

It's this one I think? I didn't check if NA already has it cause I already cleared the available main stories.

And no shame on that! I haven't properly read the main stories lately too (only have enough brain power to read the event ones cause it's not as serious) and stopped around LB2. From there I just read summaries and translations of the LBs from Reddit and wiki. I suggest reading through summaries from translators if you still wanna read the lore! (That's what I did when I didn't have the phone to play the game at the time 🥲) They condensed the info into manageable pieces so it isn't too overwhelming.

His hand tattoos were the first things you notice when you met him

Instantly loved them

You actually loved his tattoo before you started to love him, which is understandable

You liked them so much that you actually wanted to try them

Armed with a thick black marker, you wrote the kanjis on your hands while he was on the phone

"Shuji, babe, come look at this"

Looking at you out of the corner of his eye, your hands caught his attention

"I'll call you back later Kisaki"

He came closer with a wide smile

"Oho ♡ what do we have here ?"

"We match now"

He kissed both of your hands

"Let me take a picture"

Knowing that your husband was attending a Bonten meeting, chances of him coming home tired were high

Just as he took care of you, you wanted to take care of him

Being allowed to get off work earlier because you did what you've been ask to do, you rushed home

You wanted to cook Rindou's favourite dish

You set the table, lit some candles

Needless to say he was happy

But you weren't done

Pushing your silky robe on the side, you revealed your collarbone and shoulder

While you were waiting for him, you painted a small part of his tattoo on you

He started pen-mouthed, it was one of the hottest things he's ever seen

"Like what you see ?"

He came closer and whispered in your ear

"I'll show you how much I like it"

Bonus : "But Rin, honey, Ran has the same tattoo, do you think that's hot too ?

"Omg, Y/n, are you serious right now ?"

Crimson is so sad that Sigrid had to leave the shelter this way. But they couldn’t allow her hurting others.

@nefarious-sims Thank you so much darling, for participating in this challenge. Sigrid made a mistake, but I love her. She was nice most of the time and got friends: Crimson, Spike, Manae and Vic. It was a lot of fun having her in the shelter with the guys. I will miss her. 😭

Crimson: Well, Sigrid, what did you expect?

Sigrid: You have every right to be. I screwed up. I don't know what got into me... I just lost control and I didn't know how to stop it. Damn it.

Crimson: Hey, I understand that - I've been there. But we’re living all together and, whether I like it or not, I am responsible for your safety... I can't allow you to hurt others.

Sigrid: I didn’t want... I tried!

Crimson: Not hard enough.

Crimson: I just, I don’t want to know, okay? It’s too late for excuses. You attacked one of us. That’s a damn “no go” nowadays.

Beside that... I need someone I can trust.

Sigrid: You can trust me.

Crimson: I wish I could...

Sigrid: I see - I'm screwed. You’re right, it’s too late. Maybe I should have told you sooner how I feel about you. That way, you and I might have had a chance. But I was afraid of what might happen.

Crimson: Afraid of what?

Sigrid: You rejecting me.

Crimson: To be honest, I wasn't planning on rejecting you. It was more like the contrary...

Sigrid: C’mon, Crimson! I know, you already fell in love with someone else. And that person is not me.

Crimson: I... I still do not know if I -

Sigrid: [interrupting them] You do know.

Crimson: I'm sorry it had to end this way.

Sigrid: If you are, do me a favor. Stop thinking that much about what’s right or not and make a damn move. You can’t live this fantasy story forever and ignore that you have to make a choice.

Crimson: I want to be absolutely sure...

Sigrid: You won’t. You can’t be absolutely sure about anything, but you still have to move forward. That's life. Also a good tip for myself right now.

Your Nozel and Noelle siblings fics are so beautiful! Seriously, there's not many fics about their relationship, so thank you for giving it more love. If I may, can I request one too? I would love a moment between them just after the victory over Spade, sitting side by side, maybe talking, but most importantly, falling asleep with Noelles head resting on Nozels shoulder. Maybe someone discovers them? Anyway, thanks again for those Silva siblings crumbs.

It was finally over. The battle, the war, the threat of darkness creeping over the world. There would be the aftermath, and the difficulty of dealing with it should not be taken lightly. But. The war, it was over. The two Silva siblings had had their revenge for their mom’s sake. And they could finally rest. Hey could finally breath, talk it through, and start living.

They could. But Nozel didn’t know what to say. He had spent all this time striving forward, trying to head towards the point in time when he could finally breath, and talk, and apologize. He could talk about what kind of a person his mom, their mom, had been, and he could carry that legacy forward. He had been trying to push forward to a better time and a place, to a future that was bright.

But now that the time was there. He could speak, and breath, and he could apologize. And yet, no words seemed to come to him for he hadn’t thought about what to say. There was a gnawing, flooding sensation swirling inside of him that spoke of all the words he felt that he had to say, but no words to say them with.

So, he stayed silent, sitting on a rock on the Spade castle hill and stared into the distance. There was a flow of mana he recognized. It might have been nothing more than a river, trying to spill in any and all directions once upon a time, but now it was much like the roaring ocean, gentle and strong. Both a provider and a force of nature.

“Hey Nozel-oniisama…”

“Hey…”

The wind blew past them as Nozel gaze stayed fixed into the distance.

“Can I sit down?”

His head turned slightly towards her, gazing to her barely over his shoulder. “Sure.”

She took a step forward, and then another, and another, and another. It felt rather ridiculous actually. They had just defeated demons, and yet… she was afraid. Or. Not afraid, but timid. Uncertain. Not like before, but she was… uncertain. And yet, she sat onto the same large piece of rock, right next to Nozel and looked into the same direction as he did.

Wind howled in the distance, and the air felt cold despite the clothes she had been supplied. And as she sat there, she began feeling heavy, and tired, weary from the battle. So, before she fully realized it, she leaned closer and placed her head onto his shoulder; something she had never done during all her time living at home, but something she had occasionally found herself doing with the Black Bulls after being exhausted from training.

She kept her head down, huddling close, her body tensing up as she realized that she was seeking comfort from Nozel-oniisama, but he didn’t flinch, or shift away. Instead, his head turned slightly towards her yet again, looking at her from the corner of his eye before wrapping his cape around her as well.

His head turned back forward, allowing seconds to tick away as a weight settled into Noelle’s stomach. It felt far heavier than the rest of her body, and words she wanted to speak up, but the ones she ended up swallowing like too many statements she had consumed over the years. But this, she couldn’t overlook it. After all, she had stopped running away. So, the nauseating weight, would have to move. It would have to, even if hesitation wrapped around her, coming in between the cape and herself.

“Nozel-oniisama?”

“Hm?”

“Do you think… that mom is… happy?” Her eyes were down, and the wind nearly caught her voice along with it, nearly, but not quite.

He blinked, glancing at her for a moment, tensing up because of the question, before breathing out a short, heavy breath, and turning his eyes up to the sky. A heavy blanket of clouds hung over their heads, with sunlight peeking through from here and there.

“She… “ he thought for a moment, swallowing slightly as the corners of his lips tugged up into a faint smile. “She looked like it…”

“M-mmm…” Her eyes lifted up, gradually, as if trying to climb a ladder. “I think she is,” she said as a shadow of a smile became painted over her, and leaned against his shoulder, once again feeling fatigue taking over her.

So, her eyelids began closing, as if pulled by gravity, and fell asleep.

Nozel looked at her, dozing off blissfully and held her closer to keep her from falling and looked into the distance. It wasn’t bright and sunny, but it wasn’t filled with darkness and despair either. It was something in-between. Something he couldn’t quite name, but something faintly familiar that he might, with time, come to realize.

The other set of eyes that observed the scene from the distance, green ones that were framed by ash blond locks, couldn’t name it either. But knew it deep inside, far better than most. The feeling that lingered, was hope.
