hello :) by any chance were you able to connect your theory that Will created the upside down with the new information we had on st4? sorry if you already changed something there and i didn't see it, for some reason i can't click on the links of your main theories post
The app has the old links in the pinned post. But not on the desktop version of tumbler. Also the links dissappear if reblogged.
Well what I'm curious about is if el opened a gate in the 70s- creating vecna. Why is the ud stuck on the day Will went missing in s1? As opposed to the 70s? Was it a coincidence that the clock hand henry moves supernaturally says "Williams" on it (when Will in s3 was handed a "forever clock)? Vecna means "forever". Is Henry actually "free" or like s4 states is there "existential dread" about to be revealed ... where vecna isn't actually free but "cursed" by a different undead wizard (Will?). Will sings never ending story in s4- it’s about a boy with a bowl cut who creates a dream world over-run by  physical and metaphorical darkness. Argyle mentions the film caused him “existential dread”-specifically to Will.
Dustin speculated vecna was a general of the mindflayer's army... is that still possible? Or is it the other way around? They both have the spider like apppearence, associated with clocks, etc. In d&d, Mindflayers go into the past to create themselves- creating a time loop. El in ep s4e1 says "we're all time travelers". So again why is the ud stuck on the day Will went missing instead of the 70s? Why did Owens monitor Will's brain waves and record him on video (like he and others do to other numbers.what did he suspect was goiing on with Will ?) . Why parallel henry to not only el but Will? Both are called "sensitive" ,both are artists who wear plaid , both are undead wizards, both hate Dr's, both have Brenner fake their de*th, both use fire, both are associated with electricity, both see a clock hand move rapidly in a supernatural fashion , both are associated with rainbows, both have siblings of theirs see a de*d rabbit, etc. And the existence of henry establishes that psychic kids can be born with abilities stronger than numbers who were trained in a lab from birth. Aka so what about Will? Could he be born with powers? Could Will have created his own d&d army subconsciously, even creating a time loop just like the d&d mindflayer does ?
Why does the s4 part 2 poster have Will grabbing his neck as if sensing the mf ? Why do El/Vecna/Will parallel and have so many symbolic connections to the the ud? I'll talk about that in a diff post.
So why? Cause he and jonathan are targeted by vecna in part 2 ? Are the parallels between the 2 an explanation on why Will was targeted in s1/2? Is there something more? Will Will's "true sight" allow him to break through the dream-illusions? And "break the code" like his hero Alan turing. Since in d&d truesight allows you to see through illusions?
So yeah my theory Will somehow created the mindflayer/monsters with his powers and created a time loop is still ... kind of ... possible. Lol but I won't bet on it one way or another . Cause there's various possibilities . Curious what will happen though.
I'll work on some (non ship related) plot analyses soon.

ugh ok so i made a post about it before but i don't think i got any answers, ill have to check though
but anyway, because the tumblr app has a tendency to just randomly refresh and lose my place, ive been using the mobile web version on the android firefox app. works great. problem is, i have firefox set to play audio and video on wifi only, but for some reason this does not apply to tumblr. most of the time this isn't a problem because i am usually on wifi, but i noticed this month i've used a lot more data than i usually do. im not sure it's just tumblr but it still should not be playing videos when i have it set not to.
i have checked tumbler's settings to see if there's something there i can turn off but found nothing. every time i try to search a solution, even if it put "android" in the search, like all the results have posts about using about:config to make sure auto play is off, which is not a thing on the mobile app.
its not even ads that are doing it, it's regular video posts! they don't autoplay on desktop tumblr nor do they autoplay on tumblr's mobile app, so why is it just mobile firefox tumblr???
im making another post to try again and see if anyone else has found a solution, or can let me know something i missed with what i tried to find so far. if nothing else, i guess ill reach out to firefox support and see if they have an answer for me

Sanders Sides post except I haven't seen it before
Ok this post is inspired by an absolute flood of Patton and Logan in a skirt, on my Instagram, which was not anything related to any of the dnd or homestuck tags but whatever. That whole mess that happened yesterday inspired this, because as y'all know: I love analyzing things weirdly and what is blogging but analyzing your own thoughts in an odd way? Anyway, spoilers ahead because this is what I've unfortunately been leaked, which means I got this stuff via spoilers.
What is Sanders Sides? So, I actually have no idea and I want to go in bare bones because. I never get to go in with little info. All i know is that it's by Thomas Sanders (he apparently does have a tumblr, I did not look up what it was because, once again, trying to get the barest and best experience I can and I worry that may taint it in some way). All I know about Thomas is that he did vines that I really like and that he has his pronouns in all of his bio's, which so far makes him very ok in my books because I have not met one person who is in any way harmful to others who has their pronouns in their bio. Then again i don't see it often anyway but regardless. And that's literally all I know about him and Sanders Sides, so. Stuff that I have worked together with the unhealthy amount of spoilers I didn't willing get that made me want to make this. -They are all symbolic or are humanoid versions of like, different parts of someone? They're also color coded which my little color coding heart loves sm! There's morality, creativity, creativity #2: electric boogaloo, logic, anxiety, and deciet which may also be denial? not sure about the last bit. -Morality's (moralities?) name is Patton, and his color is light blue. He is the dad character and is bad with any "negative" feelings, which, mood. He is one of the sides i saw in a skirt and may be my favorite possibly, simply bc I Do Not Have Good Male Figures and he's a dad character. Name a better duo than good dad characters and my lack of any positive guys in my life that aren't my age. He's part of the "core four", whatever that means. Really likes animals? I mean that does make sense bc, morality, but also that's different for each person. overall conclusion: now my dad. (/j) -Next up: Anxiety. Name is Virgil (?), color is a shade of purple. Don't know what one bc purple is one of those colors i can't remember too well. Seems like how I imagine my anxiety but a little less focused on death. I would befriend him were in not for the fact I Cannot approach people unless I'm actually dying and even then I can't. Apparently was a "dark side" at some point but now isn't? Redemption ark ig, idk what a dark side is or if it would be equivalent enough with "evil" to have that be a redemption ark. Final conclusion: wait, is that me but cis and let loose in a hot topic? -Creativity #1. Name is Roman, color is red I think. A prince character, and I'm not sure what else to add. I think he is a theatre fan, amd also I would avoid him at all costs because as friendly as he is, we don't have the same vibes and i would panic. Definitely drinks his "respect women" juice, and it's actually "respect women" juice n not whatever the hecc it is that people who /say/ the drink "respect women" juice drinks. he'd go out of his way to make sure your drink doesn't get spiked. this man is hella good, 10/10, would trust but not talk to. -Creativity #2, apparently the brother of Roman? His name is Remus, color is green, and i say this with my full heart: I love him. he seems like the kind of person who barked at people in middle school bc he thought he was a werewolf. who drank an entire bottle of glue in kindergarten at had to go to the hospital and did it again. he's the kind of person who would offer you up a worm and tell you disturbing facts about animals and then go off and play his little games he made up with twisted scenarios. and you know what? that's amazing and i absolutely love that so much. I know nothing about him except he eats deodorant and is the embodiment of intrusive thoughts and "oh god /why/" scenarios you thought of for some reason. -Logic. Name is Logan, ah, really similar to what he represents but I mean, still a very good name. His color is dark blue, aka my favorite color besides dark grey. Really likes jam? I feel like this man has read the dictionary and has "different vocabularies" he uses for different events and people, which may be a self projection but. Def Ravenclaw vibes bc!! hear me out!! not stereotypes!! I feel this man, the literal *embodiment* of logic, would value learning and knowledge which is part of what makes a ravenclaw! so it is not self projection, it is *knowledge* (/hj). that's it, i would absolutely love to debate him sm but i feel like that would be similar to that time i talked about Quadrants with a friend for an hour and they had no idea what was going on at all.
-Last one, deceit/denial. I don't know if he's denial as i got that from a little comic that i thought was funny because it had a pun. His name is Janus (don't know how to pronounce it, been saying it like Jay-Nuhss), and his color is yellow. apparently part snake or something and!! I love snakes. Apparently was in a courtroom at one point, and we all know those are fae territory, so possibly a fae (hj). apparently has multiple arms!! which does not fit in with the snake bit, as snakes have zero arms, but regardless still cool! I know the least about him, and I'm definitely looking forward to watching him!! i love snakes sm.-
moving on from the sides slightly, apparently there's another one, who's color is orange! from someone who vaguely knows about colors but knows enough that each side more or less relates to their color, i have no idea what this side could be! best guess is it's just Thomas in a top hat. I never learned about orange because orange, yellow, some reds, and some blues are very stabby to my eyes and i will get a headache so I just. never learned it. why would i learn about a color i literally can't look at without my eyes hurting? I do know orange is a caution color, and in nature it cam be found on dangerous stuff as a "stay away!" color, and pared with black it doesn't kill my eyes and those are the Halloween colors. So maybe caution? Or some dangerous thing? It doesn't make sense, as those aren't really "sides" in the traditional sense, nor with anxiety being a sort of "caution" thing. Anyway, I would need more info on orange and, depending on how the orange color is, i may react more negatively. Like with blue Christmas lights.
-there are lots of puns!! i love puns!! i don't take the opportunity to make many, but i love them sm. just like snakes! and cats! in fact i actually know a lot about cat behavior
lmao that's literally all i have, I'll go watch the whole series and also talk about that later in smaller posts, each post being one or two episodes depending on how long it is
(ah jeez it got all messed up again, under maintenance!! sorry about that!! the tags got all mixed around too!!)
(update #2: still messed up but I'll need to not use my tablet to fix it, which i can't do rn! sorry y'all :(!! )

Life pro tip!
NEW XKIT (side note, this is the chrome version. It differs depending on what browser you’re using)
What is Xkit?
It’s a tumblr addon for desktops that lets you customize your tumblr experience and makes it easier to navigate when tumblr does an oopsie. With several different extensions, you can customize your tag settings. You can automatically tag asks. You can set up a blacklist, edit reblogs, you can even customize your dash! You can bring back the original blue, hide recommended posts.
One of my personal requirements is the time stamps, you can see how long ago something was posted!
I highly recommend getting xkit. It’s such a useful extension that I cannot use tumblr without it anymore. It’s made my life so much easier.
It’s always being updated, there is an official blog right here on tumblr, and if/when you install new xkit, it’ll ask you if you want to follow said blog. There you’ll find support, FAQ, and a lot of questions being answered.
A lot of people also pair tumblr savior with xkit. It functions as another blacklist, to make sure those posts with those tags/urls you don’t want to see are really buried and almost invisible. Happy tumblering!

SHOULD SMART PEOPLE BUY SMART GADGETS?
Tumblr media
Smart gadgets have taken the world by storm. However the million dollar question is should smart people get the said smart gadgets?. Let's simply delve in and find out.
I think the first point which we should establish is that everyone is smart. There isn't a single person on earth who is not well versed in anything. We call him smart in that thing. So!, say you like cars and understand them then you are car smart. But then you can say, author!, with such horrible articles I don't think you are smart in anything at all. In that case I will tell you that I totally disagree with you. I am smart in not being smart. You are also smart in realising that I am not that smart.
We should begin with the tech smart people. The people who will shell $500 more dollars in order to get a processor with 0.3Hz more speed. Those who will prattle about how the BIOS in that laptop is bad and how to undervolt the processors of their smartphones for better battery life. For those kind of people my advise is they should go for it. I mean they are literally burning to get their hands on those things and if they don't they will definitely explode. So let them get the Asus ROG phone and RGB away. Let them have the ability to be a tech king and with just a word make things happen in their house.
Then there are the money smart. The ones who belong to the club of stingy people. For these people I think getting smart gadgets is kind of useless. Not that they are not clever enough to use them since these things are simple to use, but is the tradeoff worth it. The said tradeoff being money vs utility. At the end of the day a gadget is a utility. By making it smart what exactly am I getting in return?. Take the smart light bulbs. I can control them from my smartphone, change the colour and even dim them. However I need to shell upwards of $30 for them whilst in contrast my local hardware can supply me with a $2 one. If I want a dimmable one, I just shell $4 more and get a bed lamp then face it towards the wall which will allow me to control the lighting depending on how far from the wall it is (clever huh!). If I want unique colours I will just turn the bed lamp upwards and put a semi transparent colored tumbler on top of it. Just a dollar for a full set with all the colours you can think of. That's $7 for everything vs the $30+.
The other thing is the smart version of gadgets cost triple the price of the normal gadgets and at times ten times more. The smart floor vacuum like the Roomba can do the job whilst I chill but it's expensive. The job which it does can be done by a dumb vacuum cleaner with me smarting it up in less than an hour. So is the tradeoff worth it?. What about the smart lawn mower?. Sure it can map my home and do the job whilst I sleep on a hammock and write angry blog posts. However guys!, the money I have to pay for that is way more. Not to mention that the more buttons something has, the more likely it is to break.
Then we have to address the smartness of the gadgets. A smart gadget most usually has a chip and the ability to connect to the internet. There is also a database created by the manufacturer so that the gadget can do smart things. At this moment, I think the privacy smart should jump in. Just think about the data which can be collected about you if the CIA or FBI wants to. Your air tag and smartphone will provide the exact movements which you made for God knows how long. Your smartwatch will provide your steps, speed, heartbeat and more for any given time. So you can find yourself in court being charged for murder and unlucky you, at the time the person died your heart beat spiked and all was recorded by your fitbit. If you have a smart camera we can know what you do when alone. Your lawn mower and vacuum will enable us to deduce the exact dimensions of rooms of your rooms and yard and even the assets you own. This is just the crust and I guess if we venture into the juicy bits you will be forced to become a caveman.
Besides the said problems, at times some smart awarding features of gadgets are simply implemented on the wrong platforms. Take the Samsung fridge with a big screen which can connect to the internet. Sure!, it's a conversation starter but how much will you benefit from it?. I mean you have a desktop, laptop, smartphone and a tablet all of which can connect to the internet. The fridge is for cooling things and you will be better off buying a normal fridge and tablet separately. That way you will save 60% of your money. Then there are speakers which levitate. As before its a conversation starter. However you will still get the same trashy sound which lack bass all because you thought you were clever enough to get a levitating one. Sure there are many gadgets which add to the utility of the said gadgets like the Amazon smart speakers but for the most part the implementation doesn't give any advantage to the user besides being cool.
These smart gadgets also sometimes simply add to the clutter around my house. Take a smart watch. Why do you buy the thing when you move with your smartphone anyway. Your smartphone is always in your pocket and you add a wrist band to check the phone in your pocket eh!. You have a full blown iPad with the pencil and yet you buy the e-ink tablet. Beats me why you have to do that. Some of these smart gadgets don't add anything meaningful to our lives and only manage to stress us.
If you want to get a smart gadget, imagine yourself with the missive after a year. Will you still want it then?. Dave2D always cautions people against buying a laptop simply because it has cool RGB. As he puts it, it's a toy which will simply bore you over time. So do you think the ability to cycle through 200 colours for your bulb will still be interesting after two months?. The fridge with the browsing capability, do you think you will still be browsing from it after a week?. It's all the things which we have to consider.
However if you insist on buying smart gadgets, I believe you should avoid flagship ones like the plague. If you go to Aliexpress and Gearbest, you can get these gadgets for way less with most not exceeding $10. Sure they have less quality finish and can break, however they can showcase whether you really need the gadget in your life. When you realise that you don't, then you will most definitely thank me.
If you really want to save money when purchasing your trusty gadgets, consider grabbing the book Attaining Financial Freedom by Edward Steward. Get it here:

Bitcoin’s Tech Trends of 2018: What This Year Brought Us (Part 2)
New Post has been published on https://cryptnus.com/2018/12/bitcoins-tech-trends-of-2018-what-this-year-brought-us-part-2/
Bitcoin’s Tech Trends of 2018: What This Year Brought Us (Part 2)
This is the second part of our December cover story. Click here for part 1.
Where 2017’s dizzying price highs embedded “hodl” into the public consciousness, 2018 was the year that “buidl” became a trend in the crypto-industry — and Bitcoin was no exception.
Anticipated in Bitcoin Magazine’s first cover story of the year, Bitcoin’s technological progress only accelerated in 2018. Improving Bitcoin from around the world, developers and entrepreneurs furthered Segregated Witness adoption, rolled out the Lightning Network, released privacy solutions, realized sidechains and made progress on a Schnorr signature solution — all of which were still around the corner only a year ago.
Following up on January’s cover story, 2018’s closing two-parter cover story explores how these five technologies progressed.
In part two: privacy, sidechains and Schnorr signatures.
Privacy Solutions
Two of the most promising privacy solutions that were proposed over the past few years — TumbleBit and ZeroLink — were both on the verge of release at the start of this year.
TumbleBit is a coin-mixing protocol first proposed in 2016 by an academic research team led by Boston University’s Ethan Heilman. TumbleBit uses a (centralized) mixer to create off-chain payment channels between several participants in a mixing session. Everyone ends up with each others’ coins, breaking the transaction trail for all. Importantly, clever cryptographic tricks ensure that even the mixer can’t establish a link between the users and their transactions.
Excited by this potential, NBitcoin developer Nicolas Dorier and privacy-focused Bitcoin developer Ádám Ficsór (as well as several others) went a long way toward implementing the solution in the two years after it was first proposed. In early 2017, Stratis, the company behind the Stratis platform and token, even hired Ficsór to implement the technology in its Breeze wallet, which also supports bitcoin.
However, back in July 2017, Ficsór had come to doubt the real-world potential of TumbleBit. The solution needs a relatively large number of on-chain transactions for each mixing session, potentially making it cumbersome and expensive to use.
“I did not and I do not think anyone else ever thought through TumbleBit’s Classic Tumbler’s economics as I did now, in a high Bitcoin fee environment where we are inevitably going towards,” Ficsór wrote in a Medium blog post at the time. “To be completely honest, after I wrote all these down I became pretty disillusioned.”
Ficsór and Stratis did complete the project. After years of high anticipation, TumbleBit was finally released in the Breeze Wallet in August of this year. But by then most of the enthusiasm around the project seemed to have waned. Breeze’s TumbleBit stayed off the radar of many, and because of that, usage statistics are presumably low.
Instead, much of the effort to realize a more private Bitcoin shifted to the other major privacy solution: ZeroLink. Based on “Chaumian CoinJoin,” first proposed by Bitcoin Core contributor Gregory Maxwell in 2013, ZeroLink is a privacy framework first announced in August 2017 by the same Ádám Ficsór.
ZeroLink allows several users to mix their coins in a big transactions that sends coins from all participants in a mixing session to all other participants. It has similar requirements (a central server) and benefits (breaks the trail of transaction) as TumbleBit, but Ficsór believes the trade-offs are preferable, most notably because ZeroLink requires fewer on-chain transactions.
To realize ZeroLink, Ficsór set up his own Bitcoin privacy-focused company this year, zkSNACKs, which he first publicly revealed at the Building on Bitcoin conference in Lisbon in July.
A rebrand of his initial “Hidden Wallet” project, zkSNACKs’ flagship product is the Wasabi Wallet, a desktop wallet with additional privacy features based on the ZeroLink framework. Besides Chaumian CoinJoin, this, for example, includes compact-client side block filtering: a privacy enhancing solution for light clients that don’t download the entire Bitcoin blockchain.
The Wasabi Wallet was officially released on October 31 of this year, on the Bitcoin white paper’s 10th birthday. While still far from mainstream, Wasabi Wallet has already become the go-to privacy option for many of those that care about privacy the most. According to GitHub statistics, the wallet was downloaded thousands of times in the first few months since its release. And, according to the Wasabi Wallet’s website, it has mixed almost two thousand coins already.
“Honestly, I’ve been astonished by the user growth and social media activity. If this keeps up we will finally be able to think about liquidity dependent privacy solutions, for example to allow direct sends through mixing,” Ficsór told Bitcoin Magazine. “Exciting times.”
The ZeroLink framework is being adopted as a standard by other wallets as well. The new (and so far relatively unknown) Bob Wallet announced in March that it is developing a ZeroLink implementation. In August, privacy-focused Samourai Wallet announced a mobile ZeroLink implementation called Whirlpool. And Stratis’ Breeze Wallet initially showed interest as well.
On top of TumbleBit and ZeroLink, more privacy solutions were rolled out this year, and even more are in development. For a full overview of privacy technologies that were released in 2018 or currently in development, see Bitcoin Magazine’s September cover story: Bitcoin as a Privacycoin: This Tech is Making Bitcoin More Private.
Stratis (the company behind the Breeze wallet) did not respond to a request for comment on this story.

A highly anticipated technology for several years now, sidechains are alternative blockchains with coins pegged to bitcoins. This allows users to effectively “move” bitcoins across blockchains, allowing them to operate under different protocol rules, for example to enable faster confirmation times or to provide more privacy. In essence, sidechains would offer all the technical benefits of altcoins while maintaining Bitcoin’s 21 million coin limit.
Liquid
While the blockchain development company has since expanded its mission, Blockstream was originally founded in 2014 around the concept of sidechains. Since 2016, it has maintained “Elements,” an open-source sidechain project that showcases what’s possible with the technology. But Blockstream’s first, commercial sidechain project is Liquid, which was announced in 2015.
Liquid is designed to offer a payment rail between exchanges and other service providers, to let traders quickly and privately move funds around and take advantage of arbitrage opportunities. This minimizes spreads across exchanges and increases liquidity across the industry. Called a “federated sidechain,” coins and transactions on the sidechain are secured by a selection of the exchanges and service providers: They are the gatekeepers that move funds from Bitcoin’s blockchain to the sidechain and back.
In October of this year, Blockstream launched Liquid, with its bitcoin-pegged token L-BTC. One month later, it introduced nodes, wallets and a block explorer to the public. Liquid is secured by some of the best-known companies in the industry, including Bitfinex, BitMEX, Xapo, Unocoin, Bitso and dozens others. Italian bitcoin exchange The Rock Trading offered Liquid on- and off-ramps almost immediately after the sidechain launched, and in late November, Bitfinex CSO Paolo Ardoino also indicated Liquid support will be rolled out soon.
Judging by publicly available statistics, Liquid usage is still modest: Some 25 bitcoin are locked up at the time of writing this article, which required 75 transactions to do so. The sidechain processed about 3,400 transactions in total, which amounts to less than a dozen transactions per hour. But the long-awaited technology is live — and growing.
“It’s a good start,” said Blockstream CSO Samson Mow. “We only recently released the client, so it’s about what I would expect. As we have more exchanges exposing integration to their end users, we should see a lot more traffic.”
RSK
Another federated Bitcoin sidechain is RSK, with the bitcoin-pegged token R-BTC. RSK is specifically designed to support Ethereum-style, Turing-complete smart contracts. Like Liquid, coins on RSK are secured by a group of established Bitcoin companies. But unlike Liquid, RSK is also merged-mined with Bitcoin, which means that bitcoin miners use their hash power to create blocks and confirm transactions.
“This ‘two chambers’ idea results in strong security because no single group has too much power and each group has specific responsibility,” said Sergio Lerner, co-founder and chief scientist of RSK Labs, the company building and supporting RSK’s reference implementation. “And like in Bitcoin itself, users of the platform ultimately control the destiny of the protocol.”
In January, the Genesis block was mined and RSK was officially launched. An early announcement suggests that companies in the federation include Bitstamp, Bitfinex, Bitpay, Xapo and BitGo — though RSK has not yet revealed which companies are part of today’s federation, exactly. (A joint public announcement will follow soon.) RSK has also attracted several of Bitcoin’s biggest mining pools: BTC.com, AntPool, Slush Pool and F2pool are merge-mining the sidechain already, accounting for over 50 percent of Bitcoin’s hash power. The R-BTC token is available on exchanges including Bitfinex and Huobi, and the RSK platform itself has been improved a lot as well, said Lerner: RSK performed nine releases throughout 2018 from version 0.4.0 to the current version 0.5.3.
Perhaps even more importantly, according to RSK Labs some 50 projects are by now working on the RSK sidechain that RSK Labs is keeping track of — though most of the projects are, of course, still in very early stages or still in development.
Some of the more notable RSK projects are developed by RSK Labs itself, as well as by RIF Labs, the company that acquired RSK Labs in November. These include a Lightning-like payment channel network called Lumino (which, while incompatible in design, could be bridged to Bitcoin’s main Lightning Network). RIF Labs recently launched the RIF OS project, which is a range of open-source protocols and libraries that will initially run over RSK, which includes a payment network, peer-to-peer storage, name resolution and more.
“The RSK community is expanding, mostly in Latin America and Asia,” Lerner told Bitcoin Magazine, “and we’ve seen an acceleration in the past few months of companies launching solutions built on top of RSK. Further, in 2018 there were over a 100 RSK meetups and conferences around the world. RSK Labs also has an ambassador program to track the ecosystem growth: There are currently 200+ certified ambassadors and over a 1,000 in certification process.”
Drivechains
Finally, a test-version of a drivechain — a product by Tierion researcher Paul Sztorc (previously Bloq) — was released in September. The drivechain sidechain model is not federated but is entirely secured by Bitcoin miners. Leveraging their existing hash power (and combined with technical safeguards to limit risks), miners both act as gatekeepers of the sidechain and confirm transactions on it.
More of a concept than a specific sidechain design, Sztorc hopes that Bitcoin’s future holds a diverse range of drivechains in order to copy many of the features now deployed on altcoins. A potential first drivechain would be a “big block” sidechain for fast and cheap transactions, while Sztorc’s personal interest has always been to deploy a prediction market sidechain.
Development-wise, the drivechain project made steady progress this year, Sztorc said.
“We are on release 12, and 13 is almost finished and has many improvements. Many bugs are being fixed. We are working on making the software perfect for now.”
However, drivechains do require a soft-fork upgrade to Bitcoin’s base protocol in order to be compatible. Such an upgrade was discussed on the Bitcoin development mailing list about a year ago, and an official Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP301) was submitted by Sztorc in early 2018.
Sztorc, however, is doubtful that such a soft fork will be deployed by Bitcoin Core, historically the Bitcoin software application through which most soft forks have been activated.
“I’m pessimistic that I can persuade Core maintainers to merge it in,” he said, “and I am doubtful even that miners would activate it if it were merged, as miner-activated soft forks haven’t happened in a few years, and not at all since SegWit — it used to happen every few months.”
While Sztorc would still prefer that the drivechain BIP be implemented by Bitcoin Core, he is keeping all options open for now. This includes soft-fork activation without help from Bitcoin Core or deployment of drivechains on Bitcoin Cash instead.
Ultimately, Sztorc may even launch a whole new forkcoin with drivechain functionality enabled.
“It would then have the same general feel as a Monero or Bitcoin Cash,” he said. “Some different project.”
Schnorr Signature Proposal
The Schnorr signature scheme is considered by many cryptographers to be the best in the field. Its mathematical properties offer a strong level of correctness, it doesn’t suffer from malleability, it is relatively fast to verify and, in the context of Bitcoin, it would enable nifty new features. Schnorr signatures have, therefore, been high on the wishlist of many within Bitcoin’s technical community for some time now.
While Segregated Witness made Schnorr integration in Bitcoin easier, it’s still a major undertaking — at the start of 2018, this was not realistically expected to be completed by the end of this year.
But good progress has been made.
In July, Blockstream and Bitcoin Core developer Pieter Wuille proposed an initial BIP on the Bitcoin Development mailing list, with input from other Bitcoin Core contributors including Johnson Lau, Gregory Maxwell, Jonas Nick, Andrew Poelstra, Tim Ruffing, Rusty Russell and Anthony Towns.
But the Schnorr signature proposal itself was only the start, Wuille told Bitcoin Magazine. There will be several more BIPs to come as part of the “Schnorr project.”
“The Schnorr BIP defines the signature algorithm itself,” Wuille explained. “There will be another BIP for integrating it into Bitcoin. The next step is to work out all of the details; more BIPs aren’t far off.”
Bitcoin Core developer for Xapo and contributor to Wuille’s Schnorr proposal Anthony Towns sent an email to the Bitcoin-development mailing list last week, detailing several of the additional changes that will be required to realize Schnorr on Bitcoin. These include new sighash flags, discussion of which had been ongoing on the same mailing list since November.
Of particular interest is that Wuille and the other Bitcoin Core contributors are now working on a proposal to implement Schnorr in combination with another big technical upgrade: Taproot.
Taproot was first proposed in January of this year by Bitcoin Core developer Gregory Maxwell (who also contributed to Wuille’s Schnorr proposal). Leveraging several Schnorr-based tricks, Taproot can realize a solution much like MAST: it would let users create a sort of data-efficient smart contract. But interestingly, under normal circumstances, these smart contracts would be indistinguishable from regular payments.
Practically speaking, Taproot would, for example, allow users to open and close Lightning Network channels, or make payments that require cooperation between multiple users, or make certain types of protocol-enforced bets without anyone besides the parties involved being able to notice that is what’s happening — a boon for privacy.
Still, the initial Schnorr implementation will probably be straightforward relative to what the signature algorithm could ultimately enable, Wuille said. Many of these more complex features will only be added later.
“Signatures interact with many other parts of the protocol that need to be worked out, so it seems more reasonable to first integrate Schnorr and Taproot. That will offer a number of benefits already, like verifying most spends with a single signature, and without needing to disclose a script,” Wuille explained. “Once we’ve implemented Schnorr in Bitcoin there is a good number of things wallets can do, including multisignatures and threshold signatures. The nice thing is that these features don’t require their own consensus rules.”
Edit note: Pieter Wuille’s comments were translated from Dutch.

Blog sites list | Blogger free blogging websites for the students
Tumblr media
Blog sites:
I'm going to share with you my top 5 free blog sites. I want to talk a little bit about the top 5 free blog sites. You can use to start blogging for free today. While I don't necessarily recommend using a free blog site if you are going to be blogging long term. These free blog sites are great for anyone who doesn't really want to spend money to blog or may not necessarily want their blog to turn into like a full-time business. They just want to blog for fun share some experiences right mainly for friends and family that sort of thing. These free blogging platforms or websites are great places. If that is something that you're interested in so let's jump right into it my first recommended free blog site 1.Wordpress.com
Tumblr media
This is for the sole reason that Wordpress.com is very similar to Wordpress.org. Which i recommend for people who are interested in starting a blog with wordpress.com. You're gonna get a lot of the same functions and like layout as far as creating a post. You would get with a wordpress self-hosted website through wordpress.org. There are some blog sites limitations obviously with using wordpress.com. There's not as many plugins available to use. If there's not as many themes and a few other things as far as like using google adsense and and some of their limitations. I talked about in my article comparing all these five platforms. It's a great place to really stay organized and you can get actually quite a bit of traffic through the WordPress community. You start a free website on WordPress. com 2.Wix Wix website their biggest strength guys is the drag-and-drop capabilities. When you're designing a Wix website you can literally drag and drop objects images and things on the screen and place them exactly. You want them and resize them and change the text size and and do all that sort of thing.
Tumblr media
So this is really nice. If you want a lot of customization with your blog especially for a free blog this definitely gives you the most customization with a free blog. But there are some  limitations as well with a free Wix website. I guess maybe not a limitation but a con would be that with all this customization drag-and-drop. You can tend to over do things and things tend to get a little cluttered and messy and unorganized and not in line. I'm totally OCD about that kind of stuff. I see a website and the boxes aren't lined up and things are not sighs the way. Blog sites should be it drives me crazy. So yeah with like a WordPress website with a set theme. You can't really drag and drop things on the screen they kind of place. They are but it's set up to be placed where they are for a good reason. Because you switch to mobile it will automatically change everything whereas with a Wix website. You have to remember that if you edit the desktop version of your blog. You need to go in and edit the mobile version otherwise your mobile website is gonna look crazy bad. It's not gonna optimize quite the way it should so that's just kind of another hassle with using a Wix website. But yeah great for customization you can do a lot of things with Wix. 3.Blogger or blogspot Blogger or blogspot. Which is owned by Google this is a very very popular free platform. I know a lot of people who blog on blogger a little bit with a paid domain. They'll go out there and buy domain www.example.com with blogger.
Tumblr media
They don't have to pay a monthly web hosting fee the nice thing about bloggers. It's owned by Google so if you're trying to you know do well on Google search and that sort of thing going. The blogger route might be a little bit better for you. I do know that a blogger hasn't had as well of a organic reach. It had us in the past that might be with some algorithm changes that have caused. But there is a huge blogger community within blogspot. I know a lot of people that do really well getting traffic based on the community the blogspot community. That's definitely a very popular option. You want a free blog not as many themes to choose from you don't get the customization. It's very straight forward it's very simple and another. I guess positive with using blogger is that you can still qualify for Google Adsense even though. It's a free platform a lot of those other platforms that I'm talking about for free get ads on there. You can do Google Adsense you can't earn an ad revenue but with blogger. Your blog gets enough traffic and you qualify you can start putting some ads on your website. Start earning some money. 4.Tumblr The number 4 guys on my list would be tumblr. I should say I guess that this isn't necessarily.1 to 5 as like most recommended and least recommended this is just kind of like my 5 about 5. I guess in any order but we'll go with number 4 would probably be tumblr.
Tumblr media
Tumblr was a lot more popular probably 6 to 10 years ago. Nowadays it's not quite as popular a big problem that I've seen with tumblr is that it's kind of gotten spammed really hardcore. There's a ton of spammy blogs and crap on tumblr. That's kind of something that I think deters a lot of people from using tumblr. It's kind of got a bad name over recent years but if you do want to go the tumblr route. They do really well is for posting photos. If you have a lot of photos with your blog. You're more of a fashion blogger lifestyle sharing a lot of photography tumblr might be a good platform for you. Because you can share a lot of photos very easily. You can also re blog articles on tumbler. This works almost like Facebook. You can like share other people's blogs on your blog. 5.Medium My top five free blog platforms would be medium. This is a newer platform that I've recently discovered. I don't know if how new technically. I've recently discovered what I really like about medium. It's very clean it has a very clean feel to it very professional design.
Tumblr media
It's very simplistic easy to read the articles you can kind of you know get featured on different categories and things like. You're writing about lifestyle fashion, food whatever you can get a little bit of traffic through the medium community. I have seen a lot of actually really popular blogs online that have been run through medium. They look very good look very professional. You're looking into a free blog. I'll definitely consider checking out medium at least just taking a look at it kind of getting a feel. for what It's like not quite as straight forward as using my blogger or WordPress.com. Another option that wraps it up for my 5 free blog sites or platforms to consider. If you want a blog for free to recap that would be WordPress com, Wix, blogger, tumblr, and medium. You think if you are using one of those leave a comment below and let us know what you think of the platform. Read the full article

5 Coding Languages – which are in demand in 2017
Today, in the world of computers there are several coding or programming languages that are being used by the developers. So, evidently, it is pretty difficult for individuals willing to dabble in the tech world, be it experienced developers or aspiring ones, to know what can take them further or give their career a kick start respectively. The job market in the Tech Industry is obviously undergoing rapid changes. To relieve you from this stringent situation the famous coding school, Coding Dojo, this year itself has revised their curriculum based on their findings. They have released the list of the top 5 coding languages that are in demand at the moment.
According to their analysis both coding skills as well as demand for the same is very region specific & local. Ones that may work in say, Washington D.C, may not suffice for you to be hired by companies in Los Angeles. Therefore, Coding Dojo has arrived at top 5 lists on a location basis. But, in an overall count, the following are in most demand irrespective of region bound:
Python:
This one ranks highest among the top 5, being the ‘general purpose, open source coding language’. Python as a programming language is being used by the big shots of the Tech Industry for their websites like Reddit, NASA, Instagram, Yahoo & Google. So, you can surely imagine the demand for knowing the Python coding language. It is one of the high-levels among all the programming languages. However, because it is simply readable, Python is widely used for general-purpose coding. Are you a novice in learning coding languages? Then, there is nothing to worry as this one is the easiest and most important to learn in order to become a professional developer. It is also used in several educational fields like physics and math and thus, there have been many establishments of libraries for Python.
JavaScript:
The JavaScript coding language is one among the most commonly used programming languages on a worldwide basis and by 90% of the major companies in the Technology Industry. It is used by almost all website pages since it is a web development language that is front end meaning that JavaScript is used for the purpose of depicting the website’s behavior and look on screen. The web application is created on the basis of JavaScript by means of the technology collection named as the MEAN Stack involving MongoDB, ExpressJS, AngularJS, and NodeJS. JavaScript is a dynamic and powerful coding language that is put to use while creating cool gaming websites too. Why wouldn’t it be vastly used? After all, it syncs with all browsers.
PHP:
The origin lies as Personal Home Page but now PHP is an abbreviation for Hypertext Pre-processor. The PHP is a programming language that is server side. Only the web pages that are written in HTML, can the PHP programming language be applied. It is widely used in above 80% of the present websites. The list includes renowned social networking sites like Tumbler, Facebook, WordPress etc. The easily learnable and applicable techniques of PHP make this coding language much famed among new developer communities. That doesn’t mean there is nothing in it for senior programmers. For them, there are advanced features. The demand for this popular programming language is at its peak and the skill is in high demand particularly when SQL.17 and JavaScript stand in pair with it.
Java:
What comes to your mind when you think of the most basic general-purpose coding language in computers? It should be Java undoubtedly. It is strictly object-oriented. This language has only a minimum of dependencies when talking about implementation. The portability of Java is what has brought it to its fame. It means that it is being widely used by millions of worldwide developers on varied platforms, devices, and operating systems. Apart from that, even video games, Android as well as desktop apps use this coding language. The majority of the world’s developers are comfortable in using Java. The compatibility of this programming language is long-term. Almost every year a new version of this programming language is being launched with improved features.
C# :
Developed by the big shot, Microsoft, the C# or C Sharp as you call it is in heavy use in Stack Overflow, Starbucks as well as the home enterprise software. This is that programming language that is growing in popularity due to its multi-paradigm attribute. This too is an object-oriented language but is type-safe, modern, and simple and is used for general-purpose programming. It is put to use in applications like NET. The software components that can be deployed in distributed environments are developed using C#.
Thus, if you are looking forward to beginning your career in this field or planning to go up the ladder, these 5 coding languages are a must know

Get Version 1.Zero Into the Marketplace
Some human beings will observe many exceptional people while trying to learn how to build their commercial enterprise. Imagine following 5 extraordinary people who are offering you hints on how to power.
One person will say stick shift, one individual will say computerized, one man or woman will say both arms on the wheel, one character will say you only want one hand at the wheel and one man or woman will say both arms at the 10 and 2 position… I think you get my factor proper?
When you comply with exclusive humans you turn out to be careworn, you use too many exclusive merchandises and sooner or later you suffer facts overload.
Naturally, every single person you follow will have their very own approach and their very own ideas as to what’s the right and incorrect manner to do matters.
You need to pick what’s right for you and begin building.
When you first get commenced it will be messy. No doubt approximately it.
Just get commenced and you may get better as you examine.
Just get a fundamental internet site up and going.
Just get your first squeeze web page setup.
Just begin creating content to draw your target market.
With all of this stuff model 1.Zero could be messy.
There isn’t any ideal way to do it.
The more action you are taking and the extra consistent you get with what you are doing is how your commercial enterprise will develop.
Success is a lot of small things accomplished over a long time period.
I frequently see people stop themselves from transferring ahead due to the fact they may be trying to get the whole lot ideal before they start.
See the point has I had no clue what I changed into doing. I just took motion before I had time to over assume it.
So here’s my mission for you.
Just take motion on something you’ve got learned these days. Don’t fear about the final results.
When your awareness on the outcome and get so stuck on nailing it the first time you often prevent yourself from doing it.
I’ve made this mistake so commonly myself over time. Then as soon as I simply took action and did the element that scared me I felt better.
Just cognizance on consistently taking movement no matter the final results.
The greater consistent you recover from a time period the better you becomes, the more popular you may get and the faster your lifestyles will change.
If you have been buying merchandise and mastering you have got sufficient know-how already to get going and start producing outcomes.
The character who simply maintains marching in one direction and makes tweaks to what they’re doing after they hit barriers will constantly out produce the individual that keeps preventing and starting.
Senior Security In The Home
We all love our mother and father. And as we age, they do as nicely. In the herbal drive to hold independence, senior residents residing on their very own could easily end up prey to unsavory characters. Home invaders, thieves and scam artists appearance to the aged as clean marks for his or her criminal intentions. To defend and care for the ones who have sorted us our complete lives, there are many approaches to comfy senior protection within the home.
Locks and Measures
Good locks are constantly the primary protection when securing a home.
Entry doors need to be fabricated from stable wooden or metallic, with reinforced frames to prevent breakdowns. Each entry door needs to also have a deadbolt in addition to the doorknob. (Be careful whilst deciding on a deadbolt. One with a flip latch at the internal is more secure in an emergency, whereas a key can easily be dropped or lost.) Four-inch screws must be used to put in the strike to the door body, accordingly securing against a person kicking the door. Be aware that tumbler panels subsequent to a door are clean for a could be intruder to break after which reach in to show a lock.
Sliding glass doorways, similarly to a latch lock, have to be secured extra solidly with a safety bar or a foot latch. These brought security features can be mounted via anybody who is reachable with a screwdriver and a drill. Even a garments bar or thick broom cope with can be cut to size in a pinch.
Garage doors with electric powered openers are the maximum at ease as there may be no outside latch to free up. Remember to offer the keypad code to the only circle of relatives and depended on buddies or pals. If there is no electric powered opener, be sure to use the guide lock mechanism positioned on the center of the door.
Perhaps the maximum prone entryway into any domestic is a window. Here a lock is often instanced not sufficient to keep out a chronic burglar. Glass can be damaged and locks opened from the outdoor. Double pane glass is a great deal more difficult to penetrate and has the introduced benefit of power financial savings with greater insulation. In intense cases, bars can be hooked up on the ground floor and basement windows to similarly deny a criminal clean access. Remember to continually hold windows locked when no longer in use. Even those high off the floor can be accessed by means of a roof or gutter.
Step It Up
While locks are key in securing a domestic, other movements can be taken to deter crook activity. The concept is to make a home much less of a goal to individuals who wish to do you incorrectly. Lighting is, in reality, the most effective and least luxurious way to achieve the arrival of vigilance.

Free December Wallpapers & Holiday Dash – A Free Game
Blog First Found On this blog . You can reach the original post here Free December Wallpapers & Holiday Dash – A Free Game.
The Holidays Are Here!
The holiday season is a busy time. There’s ice skating, Christmas tree shopping, trying not to die while you precariously hang the lights, family photos, stuffing and mailing all those holiday cards, holiday party after holiday party, and gifts. Oh, the gifts. Gifts for friends, family, secret Santas, and that one person you invariably forgot but since they bought you something you feel the need to rush out to buy something in return. Ridiculous! At Matchbox, we all have different festive traditions leading up to the holidays (including sharing a Free December Wallpaper and Holiday Game). While most are easy to enjoy, sometimes something drives us a little crazy:
Our least favorite part of the holiday prep:
Cullen: Being around all the grumpy people that are out shopping. Granted, this year wasn’t too bad thanks to Amazon.
Brent: All of it. Actually, I think it’s traffic. Oh, and all the people that are out driving that seem like they only go out around this time of year.
Colby: I think the emphasis on gifts really drives me crazy. Personally, I think the holidays are more about spending quality time with people that you love.
Dan: Trying to do normal grocery shopping with larger amounts of people not paying any attention.
Jeremy: I HATE gift shopping. Every time I think I have the perfect gift for someone they never end up using it. I’d rather they just tell me what they want and I’ll buy it. Humbug!
Sarah: Cleaning up after baking cookies for hours…how did flour even get there?!
James: The planning, every part of it!
//giphy.com/embed/3o7TKzx6O4eKUcrzNK

While it’s easy to get wrapped up in the commercialized version of the holidays, there are always quiet reminders that that’s not really what it’s all about. It’s also a time for kindness, for giving back, for watching someone’s face light up when you give them something heartfelt or a thoughtful gift of your time. It includes family, friends, joy, peace, togetherness. It’s about all those lovely intangibles. So what are we looking forward to most?
What we’re most looking forward to this holiday season:
Cullen: Getting to see my family. We’re headed to Arkansas this year to see my parents, grandparents and my sister Valerie and her kids. It’s going to be a full house.
Brent: Seeing friends and family and taking a little time off.
Colby: Slowing down and taking time to really relax and be present with family and friends.
Dan: Time off to work on my own projects.
Jeremy: Spending time with family I haven’t seen in a while. (oh also, I just bought a house!!)
Sarah: Time spent with family and friends. I especially love the family get-together with my parents and siblings and catching up with out-of-town friends. Also, the cousin gift exchange on my mom’s side, because what says “I love you” more than pranking the crud out of your secret Santa’s gift.
James: We get time off between Christmas and New Years and I am taking a trip to Arizona. So I think that trip!

Speaking of gifts, what’s the weirdest thing on our wish lists?
Cullen: LifeStraw Personal Water Filter. You never know when you might have to drink from a puddle.
Brent: I’m so basic – I just want a drone.
Colby: Pay a bill…any bill.
Dan: I do not have anything on my gift list.
Jeremy: This sweet DARE Fanny Pack. Seriously, I’ve wanted it for a while.
Sarah: A big, glass microwave-safe bowl. How am I supposed to make enough dog chow with my tiny ceramic bowl? Impossible! I need to microwave lots more chocolate than that!
James: Rocks so I can use them in my rock tumbler. Yes, I am a nerd and I have a rock tumbler.
“The four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup.”

You know what else comes with the holidays? Food. Lots and lots of food. You can do your best to avoid it, but somewhere along it comes to find you. (Not that we mind all that much.) And not just the savory brunches with ham, eggs, and biscuits, warm from the oven. There are cookies to be had. And candy canes! And, if you’re feeling dangerous, Grandma’s fruitcake. So many options! But here’s what we’re most looking forward to:
What are our favorite holiday treats?
Cullen: Collin Street Bakery Fruitcake
Brent: Swedish Tea Cakes or the other myriad of names that sweet, white powdered ball of dough and nuts goes by.
Colby: White Russians. They’re perfect for Christmas. Peppermint Vodka really sets them off
Dan: Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes.
Jeremy: Brown Sugar Bacon Weenies – They’re just party weenies wrapped in bacon wth a brown sugar glaze melted over the top. They’re always at a hit.
Sarah: A Christmas cookie my grandma makes. I’ve seen them called Coconut Butterscotch Chocolate Chip Gooey Bars. Also, homemade, warm-from-the-oven, Chocolate Chip cookies.
James: Spiked EggNogg, for sure.

//giphy.com/embed/3o7TKzx6O4eKUcrzNK
via GIPHY
