ford's dialogue transcribed

so i was inspired by this post and wrote down everything ford says in the show-- im 99% sure this is accurate, at least to what i heard him saying. in my heart, there were some things like... i think he should be saying "going to" instead of "gonna", but im sorry, jk simmons was saying GONNA. also ford Constantly speaks like a storyteller, i tried to not over-italicize but seriously, he just talks like that! oh, and i didnt include all of his grunts and whatnot, unless he made a sound that felt like he was intentionally making it, like "oh-ho-ho"

its only separated by what age ford was when he was speaking, but i suppose if people like i could also clarify what episode the dialogue is from? i didnt really see a purpose in doing that

I'll be honest... I don't think Red or Chloe should have any male love interests for this next movie. Just let them vibe and go through whatever plot they have to without them having to make heart eyes or going "so this is love" to guy you probably won't develop much for.

Like, I don't want the love interests because I want the focus to stay on them, on their bond they started to have in the fourth movie and I want to see that developing during the fifth movie.

Looking at back the first 3 movies I felt that the bonds between the Core Four and in general other characters was something that was missing, like the focus shifted elsewhere. Especially how in the second movie they talked about not keeping secrets and talking with each other and then in the third movie there was little to no communication.

What I want for Red and Chloe for their bond to be a focus for the fifth film. We've only just met this characters, after all.

The way these two complete polar opposite characters were played by the same actor is the span of less than one week is hilarious to me

kind of obsessed with how fukuchi's line about "if you attack me one by one, i will kill you one by one" has held true through this entire arc. tachihara fought him alone, and he failed. jouno attacked him alone, and he failed. even when ranpo and fukuzawa went to confront him, they did it one by one (ranpo first with poe's book page, and fukuzawa second with his sword), and fukuchi eliminated them from the fight one by one. the only time anyone even escaped a confrontation was when atsushi and akutagawa finally worked together, fully and entirely trusting each other. it was when they finally attacked him as a combined force. if characters keep fighting against fukuchi one by one, they are going to continue to be defeated one by one.

the one Big Theory I have about yellowjackets is that the ladies will return to those woods - I can't hear "no return" over and over again (no return, no return, no reason) and not think that. why would they go back? what would be the point? but of course they'll go back - how could they not?

the question is, then what? I imagine them wandering around the places they did so many years ago, and wonder whether they'll feel the same. whether they'll feel the kinship and shared spirituality in those places and think, oh, yeah. this is what it was like. this is why.

and then what? could they just leave after that? maybe this time, leaving will feel different. it will feel like their choice.

but still, surely some closure must be had. but how? their one assurance, their one absolute was death. is death. but they don't necessarily want to die. they want to embrace the wilderness. embrace each other. though death was at the center of it all, a large part of their existence in those woods had been staying alive.

but they can't stay. even if they wanted to, that part of their lives is past and gone. but it changed them permanently. they can't just go on as they have been for all these years, like it never happened, like they'll ever be normal.

I'm dying to know how they'll reconcile that.

Just beat Gascoiiiiiiiiigne

The farming really did help, I took the time to do some of the challenges I thought up last night and it was a good time! Kept me entertained as I ran around in circles, and it motivated me to target the big guys for extra echoes. Bought the axe and was able to upgrade my gun!

I even managed to play the music box this time, which I think was vital to beating him. It's hard to tell what he's doing when I'm in close, cuz of all the blood spray and frenetic movement, so I went for a more hit and run tactic than I usually do - I often sacrifice health to land big hits, which is absolutely coming back to bite me if I don't fix it soon. Already has a bit with Gascoigne.

I struggled a lot with the beast phase again, but this time I didn't attack at the start and instead let myself be chased around so he'd destroy enough of the graves to level the playing field. Made it MUCH easier when I was safely able to disengage after a strike and quite literally gave me space to heal.

And!! I got a visceral finish, and that felt AWESOME.

I honestly think I'm way too sensitive for the way the world is rn like just generally speaking ykwim. but I don't wanna change that. I spent my entire childhood unable to feel much of anything at all and accumulating piles upon piles of resentment and fear that I still can't express because it scares me. I've mentioned this a bit jokingly but it really does feel like I gained consciousness not too long ago and am just starting to feel like a person. It's been taking me a much longer time than most people my age but I try to not be too angry at myself for that because it just doesn't feel like something I would've been able to force anyways. Basically I may be stupid (💯) but I'm gonna be earnest & sincere about it.
