It's a comfort for other solos to believe that all of Jimin's fans are bots as if we didnt regularly see the huge crowds he drew when he was at Paris fashion week or Tiffany ny or at various airports. Or acting like him posting random things like a pic in a japanese restaurant didn't inspire a trend of people posting in the same pose at the same table or that the places he visited in Jeju didn't become part of a small ritual for armys who visited the island.

Also online armys might be taekookers and hidden ot6 yet offline you'll see his dad's cafe become a required visit if you're an army in busan and we saw the crowd there when BTS had their Busan concert. Also every member has fan clubs who do special projects during birthdays and I've seen some very expensive ones put out by Jin and V solos or cafe events like for other members but I don't think I've every seen a members birthday become a month long celebration in Korea ever like it is for Jimtober nor have I ever heard of possible crowd control measures being discussed because of the crowds at magnate during his birthday.

Antis have to keep chanting threemin otherwise it's embarrassing to realise that most of the replayed parts in BTS videos were Jimin's parts or that he started the trend of most viewed fancams. And in these situations we saw that after making concentrated efforts, other members numbers started goibg higher. And yet Jimin's the one with bot allegations when he's the one always starting trends like these organically and other members tend to go higher when their fans start doing whatever they're doing because they're mad at seeing Jimin on top.

Also regarding Thai streams, there's a reason we look upon it with suspicion. Love to all the Thai pjms streaming but the numbers from that country are weird as hell with the huge debut numbers or sudden 500k increases and decreases that can happen from there if it's a members songs anniversary. I dislike how Indian armys are so clearly biased towards only two members of their favourite ship but atleast those numbers are consistent just like the US numbers are consistent for Jimin. The majority of your streams coming from certain countries like the US isn't weird when they're well known as major music markets. Antis trying to equate Thai streams and US streams doesn't make sense for that reason.

Anyways my point is Jimin is everywhere in real life. Beyond followers, he's always in the zeitgeist whether it be in Hollywood movies or having things specifically named after him like the Jimin effect, or having hit tweets from actual locals (and not just armys masquerading as them), or having his merch constantly sold out.

Tae might be more popular among kpop stans and as of this moment, JK might have more name id globally than the other members but acting like Jimin is always behind them in terms of popularity only works if your criteria is very narrow - as in let's ignore how well his music sells and charts, or how often he's name-dropped specifically by other celebs or publications (NYT mentioning him for their year end events for ex) but according to other solos let's only focus on social media followers and Tiktok edits. To me that doesn't make sense - if Jennie from BP has more followers, Tiktok edits and live viewers than Olivia Rodrigo, will that make her music more popular than Olivia? Those things aren't nothing but stans also completely overestimate how much they matter as well

oli says "put on something sexy" for the talent show because both of them forgot to make skins for it. jimmy says hes not putting on the maid one (oli: i will) then oli suggests they both put on maid skins. grrrrr

then they ask chat to make oli a maid skin since he doesnt have one. specifically with the same face as jimmys (the derpy face) then they realise they need an invisiblity potion for their talent show thing so they go to steal one from pixs furious cocktail machine. they go material gathering for more talent show stuff and split up.

they meet back up. on the way jimmy goes to sausages house to steal some milk and he sees saus so he stabs him and runs away. oli found a weird pillager looking base in sausages house and shows jimmy to see how he would react to it. (u know how his voice goes when hes lying? Yeah) then after talking for a bit about who they think is a pillager (lizzie) they split up again.

they meet up again and switch skins to their maid ones,,, then they start practising their dance for the talent show. not a lot happens other than flirting and oli theatening to kill himself if they lose. then they head over to the talent show and oli sings a gay little song on the way. he tries to make it sound less gay but it turns into sounding like a one night stand.

they arrive and sausage admires the outifts and asks if they want to work at the tavern later. oli says yes (only if they dont win) and jimmy doesnt say anything about it. they take their seats and jimmy sits in front of scott. hes standing on the back of the stair instead of the front so scott asks him to move so hes not blocking scotts view. jimmy says not my fault im 6 foot so scott hits him and he ends up landing on the back of the seat in front (which is eloises). eloise hits him back. he gets hit around a bit (notably laughing) then scott pulls his sword out and asks out loud how much of a blockage a grave will be. jimmy then shakes his head and goes please no i dont have any armour on :( and scotts like haha i know. then the talent show starts

mog introduces the show and prays for no deaths. first event with no deaths. please. he reads a poem for his pet sweetpea that died. its actually really good but the fact that its about a minecraft bee does make me giggle. the judges are fwhip, eloise, and katherine. not entirely people who hate jimmy.... he has a chance....... how the judging works is the 3 judges have redstone lamps that are ON and if they turn them OFF they dont like the act. if all 3 lamps turn off you have to leave the stage.

first act is shubble :) she makes cat jokes. i think theyre funny. fwhip turns off his lamp and shubble says "quit the catattitude". eloise also turns off her light. she ends her performance with 1 light on!

sausage goes next...... hes doing a play about boat boys. joel audibly sighs in the audience. sausage is wearing an etho skin and drags joel on stage. saus tries to get joel to say he loves etho but joel just goes I LOVE MY WIFE!! lizzies in the audience and she doesnt react at all. "etho" then goes on to say they have a kid together. then it ends with 2 lights on. (technically 1 but katherine turned off eloises light. then eloise turned off fwhips light but he turned it back on.)

then oli and jimmy go!!! fwhip turns off his light almost immediately but they basically just make puppy dog eyes at him until he turns it back on. they start with their dancing and they get the audience to join in. its much more organised than the rehersals. then they go onto the disappearing act. fwhip turned his light off again but eloise and katherine seem to be loving it. jimmy splashes himself with the invisiblity potion (and accidentally catches oli in it) then runs behind the seats and drinks milk. eloise turned her light off too :( but katherine and the audience really like it. they try to do their drowning act but theres a conduit power which makes it less interesting. they end the performance with 1 light on.....

then its mogs turn! hes. racing people. and jumping very high. then he starts flying. i genuinely think hes hacking and i respect the dedication to the bit. then he starts walking on water. i think he ended with all 3 lights on.

judging time....... notable thing is katherine gave oli and jim a 10/10.

Ok the maid dress......... I'm not too upset by it because I accept Oli joining in with the maid outfit thing as a valid form of helping Jimmy heal. Not that Oli INTENDS to do that (he's too stupid) but... Him insisting "you loved it! You did!" makes me want to throw up but he's stupid. He's his own fucked up thing who I don't see as participating in the Jimmy "bottom of the food chain" bullying culture. Oli's fooling around and I still hate his insistence on Jimmy liking the maid ordeal (and even here, Jimmy is voicing the opposite!! sobs) but then he goes and puts on a maid dress too. It might be unsubstantial fun and jokes for him, but at least Jimmy's not alone on that now in a sense... Even the derpy face is the same... And same with "I'm mrs canary now". It's more "haha we both suck" and less "you suck/I suck almost as bad as you". More affectionate and less derogatory

Oli saying he'll kill himself if they lose kinda sucks because Jimmy frequently gets blamed for failures of groups he's part of, and if not, he might just blame himself and apologize anyway. But at the same time if they did lose, I cannot imagine Oli blaming it on Jimmy. He'd only address it as them both being equally at fault. Shared failure... The bar is really low ok

Aqua Teen Hunger Force #89: “Rabbot Redux” | February 8, 2010 - 12:00AM | S08E02

Happy Space Ghost day, everyone! 30 dang years with our great guy. Wow! Seems like as good a day as any to start this shit up again. To the small-yet-still-dwindling number of people who read my shit: Hi! Real life is having it’s way with me right now, so please know I’m instituting a hard-and-fast “will update when I feel like it” rule to this thing for the right-now. So, please don't expect this to be a nightly blog. It'll be more like a "nighty" blog, as in "nighty-night", because it will be angelically and perfectly asleep most of the time. Thank you. 

It’s Rabbot Redux: a fairly unnecessary explanation for what happened directly after the events of the live-action episode. It turns out the Aqua Teens drove their moving van two doors down, to the other house next to Carl’s. Not a lot happens; Neil unpacks while Rick and Vivian fight over which room is theirs. Shake immediately claims the bathroom, not realizing it’s a bathroom. Meatwad gets a luxurious room with a salad bar and a harem.

Eventually Rabbot (from before) shows up with a housewarming gift. He then crushes the Aqua Teens’ house, forcing them to go back to the old house. Schooly D shows up and sings a new theme song (which is also used over the opening sequence). This one calls back a lot of stuff from Rabbot, like Carl working out of the home, and “dancing is forbidden”.

This one isn’t especially groundbreaking, and it’s a little puzzling that they felt the need to write themselves out of that "hole". Normally they’d just ignore stuff like that and relish the show's lack of continuity. Not only did they air an episode between the two episodes (a Christmas special), but they also put it on DVD with multiple episodes between this and the Live-Action episode; I’m guessing in some production order or something. It's striking how little these guys care, sometimes. It's weird to see them dutifully tie up a thread.

This one is fairly funny, though. There’s nothing egregiously bad in it. The biggest smile I did was the part when Shake started berating Frylock about sucking his stuff. Shake is a nasty guy who says rude stuff :)

Hey, here's something fun and--what luck! I am telling you about it: At this time, Adult Swim was airing episodes of Family Guy shortly after they premiered on Fox, and they had a significant viewership on both channels. In the episode "Big Man on Hippocampus", they aired a fake Adult Swim bumper (intended to mess with Fox watchers) as they went to commercial, making a joke about confusing their viewers into which network they were watching. When the episode aired on Adult Swim, they followed it up with a Fox-style promo instead of their normal bumper. Fun fact: I once spoke to somebody who was writing on an Adult Swim show and they entertained the idea of doing a fake Adult Swim bumper, and asked me if any other shows had done that. I told them "even Family Guy has" because I happened to catch this bit. Took the wind out of those sails.

Notes: Er, hi. This is my first time trying something in this way. This will be my first, in english, fanfic. At the moment I'm writing, is almost 4 am and well, I wanted to share a story and any mistake in my writing is because is dark and english isn't my mother language. So please just be kind with me... Talking With Death

It all started way before I could understand what it was. Weird dreams about him. Weird memories that, maybe, never existed before. And in the middle of everything... she.

At the beginning, it was a dark and cold place. But, after some nights I could hear the songs coming from somewhere close. I could see the lights. And I just follow it. I guess I wasn't suppose to find, or discover, that place. Because when I did, I found myself trying to have more time with him.

I discover that daydreaming also takes me to that place. Well, the songs was in my mind, even after I woke up. I guess, It was suppose to mean something... right? Because in the end, it's calling me. Or at least, looks like it's calling me.

I know people treat the death of someone dear, in their own kinda way. To be clear express emotions, specially in public, was always something that I don't kinda like it. I mourning his death, for sure. Like everyone. And even more, cuz we're not supposed to talk to anyone. Everything that happen, all the trip.. It's supposed to be a secret.

You see, sharing this... all of this.. in here, Well I guess it's the best way to keep it out of my mind and help with what is and isn't happening. It's a way to keep in touch with reality, while I try to discover what it's all of this.

I'll try to be clear, but in a way only I can understand. This isn't suppose to anyone to read, anyway.

What I know for sure, until now, is that:

It HAS to be someone's who have a Stand;

I guess, it has to be someone powerful, otherwise someone close?

It can talk with the dead, or connect in some trick way people with the recent dead.

The place is an old kinda of castle with European architecture. I guess it's some abandoned ruin without many towers, at least now. Some of the interior reminds me of Bran Castle, the "Dracula's Castle" from Bram Stoker. Fair, I guess.

There's a event every night, and it's always some kind of ball, decorated with white Jasmine flowers all around. At first, I had that weird feeling when I found. The path created with the flowers keep bring me some calm energy sensation. Like someone telling me that now everything is fine.

I can see we're not alone. But I can't see their faces. Everyone else's face have a blur or some kind of mask covering. And I can't remember their faces after waking up. Have try to use Star Platinum to make a drawing, but it fails. Every single time it fails. I don't have any other faces then his..

This flower perfume is an antidepressant, can relaxes the nerves and relieves headaches, while help fights insomnia and is an aphrodisiac.

The dreams started maybe in the end of November 1988. Maybe even earlier that the mind allows. Weird dreams with some know random guy from school. He's not in school anymore, he changed for some reason.

But he's still in my dreams. I talk with him during those dreams. He's sweet, the sweetest guy I ever talk to. That wasn't many, anyway. But he's one of them. With stories... stories that could only came from a another reality. Another world. One far away of me.

His way of being during those moments, took down any walls that I have built in after the years. His voice could make me fell secure and relieve. Relieve from pain... The physical and mental pain. I could talk with him about anything. And after some time, even the sorrow... the depression.. went away. I became, in a weird way, closer to him.

He said some time about some flower that would help. I guess, of course, it might have been the flower that did all of it. I mean, with the pain. It must have been the flower.

Jasmine, he told me.

And I started to dream with jasmine. Even during the day, I would catch myself feeling the perfume in the middle of my daydreams. Weird, but I didn't question it. Walking any less sad... it's good enough for me.

Then, he left.

Without a warning. Without a sound. Nothing.

Just left.

And I was alone again in my dreams. Or nightmares..

This time, holding jasmines close to a tomb. A cold and dark place, different from before. Far from our comfy little room, it all turned into a dark and cold tomb with his name on it. And I just knew, I had to do it right this time. It couldn't be like before, it had to be perfect. Flawless.

Just to be able to meet with him again. To keep talking with him... keep him somewhere safe..? I'm not sure. But I was sure enough about saving him. I don't know what kind of change I made. I guess I made some, because he's there in the next time I search for him. He had some pretty bad scars in his eyes, but he's there.

Our place also changed after that. The room, I mean, the tomb transform itself into a big old castle, like the ones in a fairy tale. But so much more cold. And dark, without life. The clothes that we had, I only took attention at them when the tomb appear, begin to change into something more... how could I describe? Fantastic. Or better, like we're using costumes.

You look like Death, he told me. You know, death... the grin reaper. But I don't fell in danger or threatened. It's like you're suppose to be here.

Everything was back to the normal. As I guess it could supposed to be. Normal.. Well, let's try again. The talk and way we treat each other was back to normal. Like he didn't had have disappear for nights, and I didn't have made a deal with the devil kinda deal to have him back.

It's calm. But I could notice that he's not like before. We talked and walk around, but he seemed more thoughtful. Sometimes lost in his own mind. During this moments, I found myself also thinking or just observing the dream. Watching the big ball occur while we sit next to it. Only been some kind of decor in the background.

It's weird to be able to see again during this dreams. It's like I never lost this ability. Well, actually it's weird to be here, he murmured one time.

I didn't try to explain. How could I? What it have to me to explain? I didn't try.

And then he appear.

Taller, big.. Like some kinda of bear. Some well come present that was invited from the woods. I never took much attention, but looks like the dream was expanding. From far away. And now, it's slowly being guide to the castle. To the ball.. To us? Well, I don't know.

I just allow it. I guess, I allow it.

He wasn't a treat.

He was just another... guest.

Kunikida Doppo was someone who took pride in both his perceptiveness and being able to see a fair amount of things coming, even if he wasn’t at the level of people like Ranpo (but who could) or (fuck) Dazai. And yet, there was no way that he could have predicted what the future had in store the moment he warned the tiger kid against what they all knew was one of the most dangerous Port Mafia members. If fate really existed, it really had a very interesting sense of humor for sure. (A series of un-fortunate events).

So, I'm nonbinary and gynesexual (attracted to feminine features, not just females) and I grew up in a very religious family. The first ten twice years of my life were spent going to church every Wednesday and Sunday. I never realized how little and how much it affected me at the same time. I've always struggles with being the "weird" kid, or the "interesting" one. Weird taste in clothing, food, music, entertainment, you name it, I was the weird one for liking the stuff I did. But, growing up in that environment, it tempered that strangeness. Everyone complimented me and focused on me when I dressed a certain way, acted a certain way.

I liked it, who wouldn't, but it just didn't feel like me. I didn't realize exactly why until recently, but, I'll get to that in time. For a while, my family stopped going to church. The one I'd grown up in was falling under. Sermons were lacking, the youth group was in shambles, and there were less and less events every year.

Of course, me being the idiot I am, have been, and always will be, I asked if we were going to church one Sunday morning. That's how I ended up being dragged to church every Sunday morning no matter what, unless I was sick, until I was eighteen. So far this is all normal, happens to kids everywhere in the U.S. Nothing special. It's just indoctrination, after all. Then, when I was about fifteen, I figured out that I'm not straight. And that's where everything went out the window.

Now I was suddenly that much more different, that much more strange. So I leant into that image is built up for twelve years even harder. Cowboy boots, jeans, zip up hoodies, "cool" t-shirts, face constantly in a book. Then I started listening to the sermons. Really listening. And I started seeing just how stupid it all was. I has never been a devout christian in any way, but, now I was finally starting to see how morally bankrupt religion really is. Purposely making people dysphoric. Purposely making people uncomfortable with their sexuality. Treating women like objects, men like gods, and marriage like a way to control women.

One of the girls in the youth group, who, at the time, I had a crush on, shared her confessional (basically a conversion story, for those not in the know) one night, and... Well, I couldn't bring myself to even talk to her after it. It took her one sermon to go from a bisexual with a long time girlfriend that she was in love with, to being "straight" and homo, bi, and transphobic. After hearing that... Something in my mentality shifted. At the time, I thought I was pansexual, and I promised to myself that I would never leave someone over something as stupid as religion.

Fast forward a bit, to when I was seventeen, and the LGBTQ+ community was starting to grow in both size and volume. Of course, my parents being who they are, started to make nearly every conversation they had involve the community somehow, just so that they could bash it over the head with whatever stupidity they could muster. And that's a lot. Then more and more people started coming out as trans, and they couldn't leave that alone.

Of course, with how horrid my parents were being, I had to vent quite a bit to my friends. And, through that, I realized that I couldn't remember a single verse of the bible. And yet, a single line, from a song if only heard a couple times was stuck in my brain on repeat everytime my parents started talking about the LGBTQ+ community. "One page of the bible isn't worth a life." Such a simple line, yet, every time I hear it, it hits just as hard as it did the first time I heard it. That single line had a bigger impact than an entire book of bigoted, disgusting ideas.

About seven months ago, I figured out that I'm nonbinary, and it just made listening to my family so much worse. Now that I'm nineteen, and I've got a job, I'm trying to get as far away from my family as I can as quick as I can, but, I think we all know how that usually goes.

Tldr: Religion is stupid, parents are stupid, I'm an idiot, but not stupid, surprisingly, and I'm bad at trying to keep my stream of thoughts in any way readable.

Jeongin has been going to the same coffee shop for years. Even though the JYP building has its own café, he still prefers to make the ten minute walk to his favorite shop that makes a wonderful house latte. He’s not a latte kinda guy, but this coffee shop’s cup of joe is the best drink he’s ever tasted in his life. Every morning, Jeongin walks to work at around 7:30 (unless it's a special schedule) and stops at this shop for the same large house blend latte. Sometimes he comes earlier to have his latte in house. It really is a great way to start his mornings. Chan teases him for acting like an old man even though he’s supposed to be the maknae of the group. 

For the time being, Jeongin has been grabbing one large latte and a large americano to go, due to Jisung’s latest craving for newer flavors (as if he doesn’t just get the same order at different places). He should really just try making it at home at this point, Jeongin thinks. But, he’s not the type to complain, it gives him an excuse to make the trip. Today’s trip is no different. 

Jeongin walked in around 7:50 ish, ordered his usual latte for here, and waited in the same spot he always does: the corner both next to the streetside view, across the way from the counter. He took out his notebook, jotted down some songs he thinks he might want to cover soon before the tour starts, and patiently people-watched until his order number was called. Jeongin really did appreciate that names aren’t called, he could just sit here, with a mask and a beanie, not having to worry about being recognized. He is an idol after all. The good thing is that this coffee shop is also quite secluded from the busier side of the street. 

Today’s weather was miserable, Jeongin had to admit. It was rainy, windy, and cold. Even he struggled to make the walk, and even considered not coming. But Jeongin had a routine to uphold, and that was coffee. He observed the small trickle of people that were coming in seeking shelter and a hot beverage to warm them up. It sounded creepy, but Jeongin just liked to listen to what people ordered. Even though he ordered the same drink every morning, he still considered trying a new order if it struck his fancy. 

Aside from the weather, Jeongin also observed that the cashier card reader is down, and it’s cash only today (which he had no problem with because he always carries cash, a tip he picked up from Seungmin). This meant that many people didn’t get to order what they wanted to, but some eventually came back after a quick trip to the atm. The coffee from here was just that good. As Jeongin sipped on his coffee, he relished in the warmth of the shop and the smell of freshly grinded coffee beans. Nothing beats this. Suddenly, Jeongin remembered he forgot his napkins from the counter. He got up, strolled over, and minded his own business as he took a couple from the pick up counter. However, just as he was about to turn around, Jeongin felt a mild warm splash on his sweater. He cluelessly looked down and then up, not really knowing what to do. His eyes met those of a shy, very pretty girl who was holding a partially empty cup and was covering her mouth, completely wide eyed at the events that just took place. 

Jeongin looked down again at the stain and calmly proceeded to try to wipe off the brown stain, which clearly didn’t work on his cream colored sweater. 

He looked back up and awkwardly stared at the girl. He wasn’t quite sure what to do. She was quite small, but very delicate. He couldn’t stop staring at her. 

“Oh my gosh, I am so sorry! I didn’t see you there and that guy over there just kinda pushed me, I really am sorry. I could buy you a new sweater, I-” 

“Oh no, it’s fine. You said some guy pushed you?” Jeongin felt more concerned for this random girl than his own sweater at the moment. 

The girl blinked a couple times, reeling from the question Jeongin had just asked. “Oh- yeah… The guy in the blue raincoat over there. He was arguing with the barista and I just had to pick up my coffee but he jostled me a bit. He didn’t really push me per se, but yea, I’m really sorry. I could really buy you a new one.” The girl’s face flushed from embarrassment. Jeongin felt bad, partially because some asshat just pushed a girl and partially because it’s always embarrassing to spill something on a stranger. 

“It’s okay, really. I have an extra shirt somewhere in my bag. Did the guy at least apologize?” Jeongin scanned the cafe and spotted the guy still standing a couple feet away from them, arguing with the manager. How could he not hear them arguing before? Jeongin looked back at the girl who was inspecting her half spilled coffee. Why did Jeongin feel so bad for her? He wasn’t even the one who spilled coffee. Jeongin pursed his lips in thought. 

“Let me get you another one then.” Jeongin blurted out. Even he was surprised at this. The girl was just as startled. “Oh, you don’t have to, in fact I should be treating you to one.” She had a panicked look on her face. Jeongin just shook his head and walked over to Mr. Blue Raincoat and the manager. Was he really doing this? I guess he was. There goes his peaceful morning. 

Completely forgetting about his stained sweater, Jeongin walked up to the counter and interrupted the argument. 

“Excuse me? Can I get another coffee for…” He looked back at the terrified girl and she blurted out, “Y/n.” “For Ms. Y/n? This kind man just pushed her and made her accidentally spill some coffee. Clearly.” He motioned towards his sweater. The manager of the shop made an O with his mouth and the guy simply scoffed. 

“I didn’t even push her! I just tapped her, she was in my way. She shouldn’t be in someone’s way when they’re talking.” The guy rolled his eyes, but Jeongin just glared at him. 

“Sir, respectfully, I wasn’t talking to you. I just want to make sure Y/n gets a refill, since you so kindly wasted half of her coffee.” His words were sharp, as was his glare. Jeongin felt satisfied at telling the guy off. He turned towards the manager and kindly went back to his request. 

“If you could be so kind, I think she deserves another one please.” Jeongin smiled and the manager immediately nodded before calling for another coffee from a nearby barista. The guy huffed and turned to Jeongin. Uh-oh. The girl hid behind Jeongin and he tried to look as calm as possible, even though his heart was beating at a ridiculous rate. He wished Chan or Changbin hyung were here to save him right now. 

“So now I got another idiot interrupting me too? What’s your problem?” The guy got up real close in Jeongin’s face. Jeongin stared at the man, unsure about where he should take this. Luckily, the manager returned with Y/n’s coffee and noticed the commotion. Jeongin tried to take a step back but bumped slightly into Y/n, to which he automatically lifted his hands to keep her behind him. He wasn’t sure what Y/n was thinking, but he could take a wild guess and say that it was fear or embarrassment or both. 

“Sir, if you don’t take a step and calm down, we are going to have to call the police. Please step away.” The manager raised his voice. The man just scoffed again and angrily snatched his bag from the floor, muttering something about this establishment being the worst he’s ever been in. He then proceeded to leave. Jeongin took a deep breath and closed his eyes before remembering where he was. Oh yea, Y/n. He turned and whispered, “You alright?” before being met with your wide eyes. You just nodded and kept apologizing profusely. Jeongin blushed before bowing a bit and stuttering out a bunch of “It’s okay” and “Don’t worry about me.” The manager cleared his throat and called the attention of the both of you. You kept bowing deeply and apologizing before taking the remade coffee. 

Before you could walk away, Jeongin slipped off his mask and quickly called your name. 

“Hey, Y/n?” 

“Yeah?” You turned to him quickly. 

Jeongin gulped, you were even more beautiful than he noticed the first time. 

“I was just going to ask if you’d like to join me? If you have the time of course, if not that’s fine too-” 

“Sure!” You blurted out. Your face reddened. Jeongin scratched his neck and his ears reddened too. 

“I’m sitting over there. Let me just change really quick.” Jeongin pointed at the corner booth before leading you to it. He took out his spare gym shirt and excused himself before running to the bathroom. He checked the time just as he pulled the new shirt over his head. 

8:15. His schedule for the day started at 8:45. He’d have enough time right? If he was late, he’d just cite that his alarm never went off. Chan would understand. 

Jeongin quickly checked his hair before walking back out to you, who was now sipping your hot drink and staring at the rain fall. Jeongin took in the sight of you before clearing his throat and sliding into the booth. Just as he sat down and moved his notebook, his knees accidentally bumped into yours. You jumped a bit and blushed. 

“I’m sorry.” 

“No, it’s fine.” You voiced. Jeongin’s face burned. “I didn’t mean to- I mean-” 

“I never asked you for your name.” You interrupted Jeongin’s babbling. He froze before remembering this was his cue to talk. You shyly smiled. 

“It’s Jeongin.” Jeongin’s voice cracked and he laughed nervously. Y/n ignored it, thankfully. 

“I like your jacket. You’re really pretty-” Jeongin paused before quickly correcting himself. “I mean your jacket is pretty. Not that you’re not pretty but-” He quickly spiraled. You covered your mouth and looked down before giggling. 

“You look pretty too.” You blushed and knocked your knee against his. Jeongin tried to keep his composure. Damn, she was pretty. 

“Thanks. I’m sorry if I’m making you uncomfortable.” He apologized and glanced at the rain covered window. 

“No it’s okay. I feel way more comfortable than before. Thanks by the way.” Jeongin smiled at you and quickly cleared his throat. 

“So- what brings you here?” Jeongin immediately regretted that. He sounded like Chan when he said, ‘you come around here often?’ He mentally slapped himself for that. You laughed. 

“I heard about this cafe from a friend and decided to try it before I headed off to the park. You?” You took a sip from your coffee. Jeongin almost forgot he had coffee at all. “I’m actually a regular here. I come here every morning before work for their house latte. It’s pretty good.” Jeongin rambled. He felt more like an idiot by the second. You gently nudged his arm and raised an eyebrow. 

“Can I give you my number?” 

Jeongin stopped talking. Your number? 

“Yes?” 

“Are you sure?” You laughed at his tone. 

“Definitely.” 

“Okay then.” You turned to your bag and took out a receipt and a pen before scribbling your number on it. “Here. Let’s get some coffee, in different circumstances of course, sometime.” You smiled and Jeongin’s brain ceased to work. He took the receipt and stared at the numbers. You started to get up before Jeongin raised his voice. 

“Wait- I have to tell you something.” He panicked. You stopped and tipped your head in response. 

“I’m an idol. I actually work at JYP.” 

“I know.” You simply stated. Jeongin felt shook. He opened his mouth and then closed it again. What? 

“Oh, sorry, not in a creepy way. I just meant, as soon as you told me your name I recognized you.” You stuttered, trying to explain yourself. Jeongin breathed a sigh of relief. Oh. He thought he had a crazy fan on his hands. 

“Are you okay with that? You know, giving me your number and all.” Jeongin tried to speak. You simply snickered and kept collecting your things. 

“Jeongin, if I wasn’t okay with it, I wouldn’t have given you my number. Text me later so we can meet again okay?” You tapped the receipt before getting up, smiling and waving goodbye. Jeongin’s head spun. “Okay,” he whispered as you sauntered out the door. Jeongin stared at the receipt. You had written your name with a heart next to it. He sighed before gulping down his coffee and carefully tucking the receipt into his phone case. He couldn’t wait to text you later and the thought of your confidence brought a silly smile to his face.

A bell jingled as you opened the door to the coffee shop you frequented with your boyfriend most mornings. The smell of fresh coffee beans never failed to make you stop and smell. Unfortunately, your boyfriend was not as patient and nudged you forward. 

“Hey! I was appreciating the smell.” You pouted and crossed your arms. Jeongin just rolled his eyes and pushed you forward by your shoulders. “Babe, you can do that when I’m ordering. It’s called multitasking.” You scoffed and struggled to keep the two of you from walking forward. Eventually you gave up and stopped in front of the counter. The barista smiled and greeted the both of you.

“Good morning! The usual for today?” The barista smiled and Jeongin shook his head. You scrunched your eyebrows in confusion. 

“Not today. I want to order two house lattes please. Large and for here.” Jeongin confidently said. You rolled your eyes. Usually you got a lavender mocha and he got an americano since they removed the house latte from the menu. 

“Babe, that’s not even on the menu anymore.” You stated, as a matter of fact. Jeongin hugged your shoulder and squeezed you into his side before smiling. 

“I know, but today is the 2 year anniversary of when I first met you. I’m sure they can make it again right?” He turned towards the barista. The barista happily nodded and scribbled the order on a blank note. 

“That’ll be right up. On the house.” The barista smiled. Jeongin smugly smirked at you before bowing his head to the barista and saying a firm thank you. You shook your head and let Jeongin lead you to the corner booth. 

As soon as you sat down, across from him, Jeongin leaned forward to place his chin on his palms. You eyed him suspiciously. 

“What now?” You huffed. He smiled and the corners of his eyelids crinkled. You found this quite endearing but you also had a facade to uphold. 

“Remember when we first met here?” 

“Unfortunately, yes. Why?” 

He laughed. 

“You spilled coffee on my sweater and profusely couldn’t stop apologizing, but all I could think about was how gorgeous you were, and still are.” Jeongin grabbed your hand with his free hand and toyed with your rings. “I was a mess that morning. I’m also pretty sure Chan scolded me for being late too.” You smiled at the thought of his older member scolding Jeongin, such a sweet little boy. 

“Babe, you couldn’t even think straight. I just had to give you my number to shut you up.” You endearingly laughed. You rubbed his hand with your thumb. Jeongin pouted and pretended to be offended. 

“That’s all it was?” He faked cried. 

Suddenly, the barista brought two piping hot lattes out to your table. When he set them down, you could see the latte art formed two halves of a heart. You blushed and thanked him. Jeongin didn’t even notice the heart. 

“Baby, look! They drew a heart with cream.” You giggled. Jeongin looked over and formed an O with his mouth. 

“Woah, they really do know us.” 

You rolled your eyes. 

“I would hope so, with how often you drag me here.” 

“Hey, they have great coffee and a great atmosphere too. You should appreciate it a little more.” Jeongin stated before taking a sip of his latte. You took a small sip and tasted the perfectly roasted coffee bean flavor and milk. It was like heaven. Jeongin really did have taste after all, you thought.

 Jeongin looked up from his cup and gazed at you softly, wondering how miraculous you came into his life. Now, he sat here, getting coffee every morning, but this time it was with you. There was no one else he’d rather do this with than with you.

I'm pretty much a veteran when talking about Atelier801 games and stuff. Though I don't know their recent plans or games, I have good memories of their past ones. But I have to say I'm surprised this company has lasted for so long because it has been 5-6 years since their games have fell out lol

Anyways, I'm gonna go through their games swiftly and talk about them because why not.

- Transformice (2010)

Oh Transformice... How could everyone forget. I had played this game since 2011 and it was of course the most iconic one of the bunch. Just a couple of mice getting the cheese and going back to the den. The concept is so simple yet it was so fun with the countless of maps created by the community and different rooms that offered special gamemodes. One of my sonas is from this game. I think it's still fun to play these days, although it is very empty and the lack of brand new events doesn't make the game exciting to come back to.

- Bouboum (2013)

It's just an online bomberman. It's very basic but it doesn't make it less fun. Though it's likely my most disliked game of the bunch because of the huge lack of customization and the repetitive gameplay. The game itself is very grindy if you just want to get a pretty skin and I don't like how the obvious way to quickly get them is to pay money. But Atelier801 has always been a bit greedy with their customization options.

- Fortoresse (2014)

A 2D shooting game, but one of the most broken, confusing, and glitchy ones. However I found a lot of fun too. I guess the weird mechanics and completely broken weapons made the game funny to play and that gives you equal amounts of rage and laughter. The game is not quite pay-to-win because it's way more easy to get currency compared to Bouboum, but the weapons and perks you do have get with currency, so it requires you to grind to get better.

- Nekodancer (2014)

MY GOD Nekodancer was my jam. It's just a rythmn game like Friday Night Funkin' and that one Club Penguin game at the disco club, the only difference is that the PLAYERS submit YouTube videos to play in it. The sequence of arrows is generated with the beats of the video/song which was just a great concept at the time, allowing players to send their own music. There were always some weird videos people put in but nothing too bad, the absolute worse though is when someone put a metronome beat video because dear fucking god how do you beat this fucking shit

- Run For Cheese (2014)

Only those who know knows. A mobile game that was just an obstacle race with Transformice characters. It's pretty basic and honestly I can't see the reason for the creation of this game because I don't even remember how they monetize it. Hilariously enough, I had pretty high stats in the game which just shows me I was hooked with it when it still existed lol

- Dead Maze (2018)

Project Zomboid rip-off but easier and visually cuter. It's like a PG version of PZ. To be honest I think I only played this game once and I don't remember shit except there was some kind of story idk, I guess someone hit with a car in the middle of nowhere and you got stranded. Can't say much about the game because I hardly played it.

- Transformice Adventures

Apparently this game hasn't officially released but I did remember playing it...? It's just cute little rats fighting insects and I guess there was some hype to this game when it was announced. It was fun to play with friends. But I don't think there's anything else on it worth saying. It's just a cute game with a concept I've seen in 238 other games.

There were other two games on the wiki list but I've never heard of them before so I never actually played it. There was also Celousco but it was cancelled (I remember when we got the news the game was cancelled, it was a bit sad). But anyways... Well that is it.

Yeah lately things have been pretty weird with how HappyEle has been doing things and it's like... hmmm. I assume they have a plan and a reason for why they're doing this. But they have also been/are making things easier for us with the way they're handling the events.

We get 50 whistles for each climax event, which I do understand and it makes sense since, well, 100 whistles is usually given for special celebrations/campaigns. And when it comes to the climax events that are supposed to be really important, it makes sense that they're gonna put them all on equal grounds rather than some getting 100 whistles while others get the usual no whistles. And maybe 50 whistles might not seem much, but damn, they will really help and make grinding a little easier and cheaper.

Not to mention that supposedly the album announcements will coincide with the climax events like Crazy:B album does with their climax right now. Personally I am still suspicious of that theory, so we'll have to see if it holds up in the future. Though considering the album *does* contain the climax event song, it's very likely that the theory will hold up. Which will also make things easier for the players since, if they are going to announce a new album every broadcast, it will (in most cases) give a bigger timeframe on knowing what event is coming than the timeframe of a tsukisuta guest announcement. Which means more time to prepare and grind dia. It will keep (f2p) people from pulling on gachas bc they know what event is coming.

No anni cards makes it easier too because nobody will spend dia on it because they simply don't exist.

Extra memorial coins though? I think that's just to give players more of a chance to get the cards they want because it's been some time and theh probably estimated that people are more likely to grind a lot for the climax events, so they want to reward that. Probably also to give potential new players a boost as well since we seem to be at peak enstars or smth.

So??? What *is* HappyEle doing here. Whistles, album, no anni cards. It's all very strange. They're being awfully kind here. Are they swimming in money this much that they can afford to be nice? That they can afford to continue making the reminiscence anime adaptations as well? All without repercussions? It just seems a little too good to be true, all of this. I also don't think they're gonna end the game just yet, but all this generosity makes me very suspicious of their intentions.

As for the climax events themselves? To me they always seemed like they were going to be the events that will give every unit TRUE development. The development that's needed to keep the story going and have new options open up for the writers. Like idk if it's just me and my Trickstar tunnelvision, but it feels like we have gotten nowhere lately in terms of development and story. Of course we have had Yuta's hairstyle change and we have had Ryuseitai's change, but what has really happened?? We continued the godfather plot, but where are they actually going with that now? Speaking as a TrickstarP, what the fuck is going to happen to them. They haven't really done much either, there's been some things dropping, but nothing that really brought them to a changing point. And it's been for a lot of characters that way, dropping some things here and there, but never tying up the loose ends. We have had Obbligato, but there's still a lot more that they can do with it, will they do anything with Kaname? Who knows!

I guess one thing they finally addressed though was Makoto with Portrait. You know, after 7 years. But still, there's a lot more to just conclude or reveal than just Makoto's trauma. And speaking of Portrait! It's been 7 months since then. It's been 7 months since our first and only look back scout. The scouts that were supposed to happen periodically like circle scouts. Well I have yet to see it!

Though I would assume that they are cooking up those look back scouts as much as they are cooking up those climax events... I hope...

But you know what worries me? All of these climax events are going to be this rotation. I worry that there's going to be sooo much happening so shortly after another that everyone is going to explode with information. You could say that the SS was also a lot, but those were 8 events, climax is going to be EVERY unit which is 14 fricking events. 14.

Everything has been so weird lately and I trust HappyEle is just cooking a 14 course meal for us, but part of me just wonders what the actual plan is.

TW: Vent

In a world filled with racists and bigots, why are we directing any amount of hatred towards furries? They're not hurting anyone.

Am I a furry? No.

Are furries chill? Yes.

It is not my thing, and I know little to none about them, but I've never had anything but a pleasant interaction with a furry, especially in real life.

These are people who are just trying to find a decent way to express themselves.

Why make fun of them for that?

There are people in this world who center their identity around their car, or their favorite sports team. What do you care if somebody else finds a different way to express themselves?

If you're a furry part in the terminology, I know it's more than just expressing yourself, but I'm trying to make a point.

"Ew, a furry convention."

Oh, you mean a place where a bunch of people are going to come together and enjoy a shared thing they like?

Might I add, in a way that doesn't harm anyone?

Furries as a punching bag has become a joke in and of itself, and I just don't understand the hate.

People call it cringe, people call it weird. It's none of those things.

These people are just being genuine, and if you're being genuine, it's never cringe.

If you find something in this fucked up world that makes you happy, engaged, and gives you a community, like I did, hold onto that for dear life. That's what these people are doing, and I respect them for it.

Are there problematic people among them? Yes, because there's problematic people among everything.

But, I can think of far more widely accepted things that have far more horrible people in it.

So, let's stop dunking on people who are trying to find a way to enjoy life, and instead, dunk on the people who are trying to stop others from enjoying their life.

Rising Dawn

The Museum was an interesting place. The historic events of the Great Seven and all other historical figures that, while not famous held a place in this world. To the students of Night Raven's College this was all like a history lesson.

Of course for Yu he was interested in seeing more. Dressed up in the a shimmering white suit with matching purple pants and black dress shoes. As with most events he wore make-up (which he applied decently himself. All that practice paid off) a silvery shade.

The Museum itself was really nice to look at. Under the starry sky that was starting to fade due to the rising sun. They were there pretty early after all. On top of the stairs was what looked like a shadow portrait of a man in robes. Given by the look of everything it looked like magician. Professor Trein spoke and said that the figure was a great mage that lived many years ago

He had brooms clean his abode and even said to have an apprentice. The hat that was on display looked familiar.

A blue cone like hat with stars. On it, looking closer it was as if the galaxy swirled around it and even though Yu couldn't sense any magic. He felt that something was special.

The hat was stolen by the apprentice because he was impatient and wanted to cast magic only for chaos to occur it made Yu think of an old movie with that premise. He couldn't remember what it was, but he knew, of course it was a Disney movie. The hat was seen on Mickey so the mouse must have been that impatient student.

Looking at where Grim was, hanging out with Ace Yu couldn't help, but chuckle at the thought

Once the headmaster and the teach said their piece they were all given leave to look around.

Yu quickly wandered off to explore and the first image he came across he was expecting a look into the Great Seven's past only to find

"Wait isn't this..."

This....was a movie screenshot basically. This was the Beautiful Queen or as Yu knew them the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. This is supposed to be flattering? This was just a screenshot straight from that boring movie

Moving on Yu looked at the others

"Ok this is pretty weird"

Scar in the midst of his Villain song. "Be Prepared" he can hear the song in his head and almost starts to hum.

Yu continues to look at the other images and Yu was having a bit of fun quizzing himself on what movie and what scene was taking place. Those not in the know might see this as Yu being a History nerd and others that sort of knew saw it as Yu eager to learn about Twisted Wonderland's history and figures of the Past. So many memories as a kid watching all of these movies. It's a shame he can't rewatch them at the moment.

Yu was hit with a wave of nostalgia, no one could understand as he wanted to gush about how he's seen most of these movies. Yu wonders what other movies he's missing. As Yu explores more of the museum. He stopped at a larger image featuring a few people instead of one

"What's this one?"

"!!"

These three...wait they exist here?!

He recognized these three. It stood out from the other images. They shouldn't be here? They were outsiders, intruders in a way. Then again...

"I see this one caught your eye" a voice called

Yu turned to see Professor Trein walking up to him. Yu's eyes turned back to the image

"Who are they? I've never seen them before"

The professor looked up to the image

"That's no surprise. Not much is known about this group, but they did serve the Great Seven." The professor started

"These three were part of a group that saved many lives. There was a wicked mage that had a terrifying power causing trouble and harm to all of Twisted Wonderland. With this Organization they were apart of they held special magic that defeated the wicked mages and his followers" The Professor explained

Yu listened closely. Organization XIII...they were different here. Guess that's not surprising. Yu can't help, but wonder now if a certain Door and a Key also existed here. Most likely it wasn't the Seekers of Light that they didn't fight against. If anything they were the Seekers of Light. The professor said something about a terrifying power, stealing hearts?

"These three were the closest of friends. Stuck by with each other til the end. Almost like you and those two students in Heartlabyul"

Yu chuckled a bit. Yu did start off faking it, not thinking he would bond with Ace and Deuce and while Yu might give them grief and in return they give him a headache. It was...nice to make friends.

"Well, I'll let you be. They have a special treat for the students and you wouldn't want to miss it"

Yu nodded as the elderly man walked off. His gaze turned back to the three

Thinking about the other two Ace could be like Axel, and Deuce could be Roxas' stand-in...Yu was Xion.

Tragedy struck and something happened. Xion was a puppet that faded away after she fought with Roxas to free Sora's memories. He can see the scene play out. The three hanging out on the Clocktower and Xion simply...fades away. Forgotten.

If Yu goes back home. Will he be forgotten? Yu hasn't thought much about his world since coming here and it makes him wonder. Does Yu really want to home? He wouldn't be blamed for it, after what he has to deal with. If Crowely doesn't send him home or can't then he could just live somewhere peacefully? Can that be done in a world of magic like this?

"Oi! YU!" A voice cried out

Yu turned to see Ace, Deuce, and Grim. They were holding something in their hands

"Come on! They're giving out Ice Cream" Ace called out

"It's called Sea-Salt Ice Cream" Deuce added

Sea Salt Ice Cream? Looking back up to the image one last time. It was the same treat. With a soft smile and turned

"Coming!"

The Ramshackle Prefect took off to meet with his new friends. Like Xion Yu was an outsider and while he didn't fit in much with the other mages being magicless. He still...managed to find some friends along the way. Hopefully, he won't end up being like Xion.

But...Xion eventually returned and reunited...so it should be fine.

Oh, that seems so fun!!! I think I need to stop being so shy and go to a pride event next year! All those activities seem extremely wonderful! And it's even more wonderful that you feel comfortable enough in a rural area to be doing all that. Here it would be fine, but you know how people are. Unnecessarily mean, and I know it would be weird. Still, I think mentalities are definitely changing and that's so amazing!!! I was talking about it the other day with my mom and I was so happy with how far she's come! I agree all art is so interesting and I think textile art is sometimes forgotten . Which is very sad. We have an incredible artist that sometimes makes textile work and she's very well known everywhere and I think that's so cool! I love making things! hiiiiii hun!!!!! it's been a slow week but a good one so far!

it was a lot of fun! my only complaint is how cold it was (i was outside for most of it!) and the fact that there was a covid outbreak after :( thankfully i'm testing negative but a lot of people are testing positive (ah back to school time on the west coast, someone always gets sick). We have a relatively large queer community in my area, but they've become much more vocal and out in the last five years, which i'm incredibly excited about! yeah we were concerned about announcing where pride was located until two weeks before since the Idaho pride shooting and the general violence against the queer communities across the U.S. at the moment. but overall it was great, there were no issues at all and i would call it a success!!!

Agreed! Textile art, especially handmade, is undervalued nowadays with the production of machines to do it instead. It always frustrates me when people get upset at the cost of handmade textiles but they don't take into account the time and effort that goes into handmaking textiles! I spent over a month alone doing my jacket for the eras tour (every weekend in April and May for about 12 hours a day) and while I didn't spend a lot on matierals, the labor alone is the costliest thing! I'm soooooo excited to see what you're making for me when it's ready!!!!!!! <3333

I WAS SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!! We didn't know who the opener was going to be and I remember how excited I got when Taylor stepped out with her guitar and band. I was only 9 at the time but it was by far one of my favorite memories of a concert from my childhood! The most notable song from that night for me was our song (which has forever been in my top 3 on debut), which was the last one she sang! Taylor did a meet and greet afterwords but my mom didn't want me to go alone so I didn't get to meet her, but I'm just so thankful I got to see her when she was first starting out, it's something that I really cherish!

SK8 8/8 event write up! (part 1)

Since they talk a lot in this one I ended up writing a ton so I'm breaking this up into two parts >.<

The event starts with Kobayashi and Hatanaka coming out and introducing the event. Hatanaka is wearing Reki's headband!

They say that since it's August 8th it's infinity day so they're having an infinity day special event for SK8. This event is only for people who bought volume 4 of the BD/DVDs and so they thank everyone for buying the BD/DVD. It's also being streamed in niconico live and so they're watching the live comments on nico on a screen. The comments on nico show on top of the video. They reference the comments a few times throughout the event.

They bring out Nagatsuka Takuma. He comments about how there's so many comments you can't even really see the screen. He also talks about how Hataka is wearing Reki's headband and he says that before they came out Hatanaka had the character in the band in the middle of his forehead and they had to fix it. Hatanaga says he didn't make the bandana himself, people at bones made it for him.

They then say that since everyone seemed to want to know more about the show they're bringing out Ookouchi Ichirou (the series writer) and Takahashi Ryo(the music writer).

They mention that while they had the cast event last month, this time they have people behind the story so people have really been looking forward to it, and they have too! Hatanaka says that while he's talked to Ookouchi before for the commentary he's never talked to Takahashi before and so it's a rare occasion for them to be able to talk. The comments on nico call Takahashi a song god so they mention that lol.

Hatanaka asks Takahashi if people have been talking to him about SK8 after it aired and he says that people have learned he makes anime music because of SK8 and they were people who aren't into anime so it was impressive.

Hatanaka then asks what about Ookouchi, and mentions that he's been talking about SK8 on twitter and skateboarding and Ookouchi says that he was watching Olympic skateboarding and he'd never really seen skateboarding much before so it was really impressive. They all talk about how Japan got a whole bunch of gold medals in skateboarding and how they were all impressed by all the skaters. Nagatsuka says that while normally people skate in the middle of the board, it was really amazing that people skated on the tail of the board and such. Nagatsuka mentions the 12 year old who was in the Olympics and say she was a "real Miya". Hatanaga says that since SK8 was aligned with the Olympics that since skateboarding will be getting a boost in popularity from the Olympics SK8 probably will too. Nagatsuka mentions he thinks that the park skating made people really excited and Hatanaka says that people are probably thinking about trying to skate like that when they can't skate at all.

They start introducing the scenes that people voted on as their favorite scenes. They say more than 20,000 people voted on the scenes! Nagatsuka jokes that 1000 of those were Hatanaka but he says they weren't lol.

They have a ranking of the top 8 scenes.

8: Reki saying that skating is infinite from episode 2.

6: Miya interrupting Joe hitting on girls in episode 6.

They ask Ookouchi if he was the one who came up with the idea and he said it was half him and half Utsumi.

5: The end of Langa and ADAM's race in episode 12.

4: Reki saying he saw snow falling in Okinawa from episode 1.

They say that Hatakaga's monologue in that scene was really moving and that the music was too so they ask Takahashi about the music. Takahashi says when he starts making the songs he doesn't know what is going to happen in the show so he just makes things based on what they tell him the feeling of the scene would be. Nagatsuka says it's almost a miracle that they end up matching in the end. The voice actors are impressed that he starts from nothing, cause while they do things without the songs and stuff there's still something for them to work from. They all think it's impressive seeing everything completed and coming together in that way. They mention that the three of them got to see the completed first episode in the studio before it was aired and Nagatsuka kept commenting about how impressive it was as they watched lol.

They asked Ookouchi if it was hard writing episode 1 and he said 1 wasn't hard because it was all Utsumi's idea, but from episode 2 it was harder for him since he had more to do then.

Then before they show the top 3 scenes chosen by the fans, they show scenes chosen by the staff.

Special mention 1: Young Cherry, Joe, and Adam from episode 9.

As they watch the video they go "oh!!" at the scene where ADAM catch's Cherry and say that Cherry is like a princes lol

They ask Ookouchi if ADAM catching Cherry was his idea and he said yes. Kobayashi says I thought for sure it was Utsumi because of her "interests". Ookouchi says it's hard to say where the idea actually came from but they had already decided that Cherry would talk roughly so they decided he was a former delinquent. The voice actors ask if they had already had them in high school decided, and Ookouchi mentions that the way he pictured the characters and the way they were in Utsumi's head were different and she'd correct him and say "no this one is like this".

Special mention 2: Langa and his mom talking from episode 8.

Everyone loves Langa's mom, they talk about how cute she is.

Kobayashi says he was worried about how he should act with the mom, since maybe he should seem like he doesn't really want to talk to her about it, but Mima said that he wants to talk to her about it so that's what he did. They said that he doesn't really want to talk to her about it but he really doesn't have anyone else to talk to. Kobayashi says that Langa really loves his mother since he's trying to get a job to help her and such and asks if that was Utsumi's idea but Ookouchi says he doesn't remember.

Hatanaka asks Takahashi if he knew what kind of scene it was going to be when he made the music. He says he made it thinking about a scene with mother and child really, he just made it like a break style music, like for an everyday scene.

They then start talking about how you get to see the other character's families like Reki's and Miya's parents. They think that Miya's parents are nice parents. Hatanaka says it's rare to see parents like this and Ookouchi says they all have nice parents... except for ADAM lol.

Special mention 3: The ending of the last episode.

When they show Reki's sister skating they comment that she might go to the olympics. Kobayashi and Nagatsuka joke that Reki's going to be over taken again and Hatanaka is like no they should go as siblings lol.

When they show the scene with Cherry and Joe Nagatsuka comments that they're flirting in public lol.

They say they're interested in what's going to happen with Miya and his friend from now on.

They say that there will be a credit-less version of the episode 12 ending on volume 6. I think they announced this before but they acted like it was impressive so idk lol.

Kobayashi says that after watching that they really want to know what will happen next but Ookouchi just says they're still thinking about it. They wonder a bit about Hiromi and things but say that they can't say anything and Ookouchi really can't say anything so they move on lol.

3: You'll be my dog forever from episode 12.

(The screen is covered with "Woof!" and dog emojis lol)

They ask about how Utsumi said that Ookouchi originally wrote "woof" in the script and he says it wasn't a gag he wrote it to be said seriously. He mentions that in European movies and stuff people have witty banter with each other and say funny things with straight faces and he was thinking in that way when he wrote it. They say that people probably wouldn't have gotten it lol.

2: Cherry escaping from the hospital and going to Joe's restaurant from episode 9.

Kobayashi mentions that while Mima (the voice director) originally said the take they did was okay, Utsumi said they needed to say things cuter and Matsumoto was like "Oh I understand!" Kobayashi says it's a type of acting that they can't do because they're young. They wouldn't be able to get the right nuance lol. Hatanaka and Takuma both say that they hope to hurry up and be in their 50s lol.

Hatanaka asks if this scene was Ookouchi's idea and Kobayashi is like you keep asking every time like we're searching for the culprit! Lol Ookouchi says it was his idea. Kobayashi asks if the eye catch where Cherry says "give me carbonara" was his idea and he says no. They are impressed how everyone in the show worked hard to put everything together and since it's an original series they came up with so many ideas.

1: Reki and Langa's make up scene from episode 10.

They talk about how they like the scene but it's embarrassing lol. They tell Takahashi that the song there was really good and he says that when he made the song he didn't even know how it was going to be used really they just told him it was a make up scene that would be 3 minutes long lol. Hatanaka says that even then, the timing with the scene was perfect. Takahashi says that he was also really impressed that it worked so well.

Ookouchi says that the place actually exists in Okinawa and they planned to use it for this scene. Hatanaka says that it's amazing how the director puts it all together like a puzzle.

I haven’t been in the star trek fandom for very long (I’ve only just started binging the series in the last couple months), so it’s been pretty surprising to find out just how negative the perception of the reboot movies are.

this isn’t coming from the perspective of someone who grew up with the series, so it hit different for me than it might for people with a different relationship to TOS, but I thought it was genuinely clever and Respectful with how it was handled.

To quote leonard nimoy: “Well the alternative timeline gives them license to escape from canon concerns. I can’t see people saying ‘they shouldn’t do that because…’ or ‘that doesn’t tie in to such and such’ because it is a different time and place. Am I right about that?” [Link]

the entire Premise is that the original series happened as it was presented in TOS, but an event late in Spock’s life caused the creation of a parallel universe in which everyone’s lives were significantly altered through two key changes to the timeline. this gives them the freedom to Both revel in fanservice And explore different facets of the characters and their relationships. 

the destruction of vulcan Vastly impacts the characters and the plot moving forward, and its a detail that a lot of people take issue with. but the emotional impact of sarek admitting Directly to spock that there is value in his humanity, that his feelings Aren’t wrong, that sarek married amanda because he Loved her cannot be understated. you can read all of these things into sarek as he was in the original series, but he Never had an open conversation about these things with spock. this creates a Believable and Rewarding change in their relationship, where we get to see a different facet of them Because of the changes made. and that’s exactly the appeal. showing us pieces of these characters that we never got in TOS that are nevertheless undeniably Them.

everyone is Different yes, but they’re also fundamentally the same people at their core and that matters.

kirk’s personality obviously takes the biggest change, with him experiencing trauma at a young age, losing his father, and having an implied abusive father figure after that point. he has a harsher personality in reaction to harsher conditions, he’s spikier and harder to love. but he’s also still fundamentally a Good person whose willing to risk everything to help people. he still has what made kirk prime a good captain and a good friend.

I’m not gonna say that it’s the most nuanced story in the world, but it explores a version of kirk that was born from even Less fortunate circumstances than kirk prime, exploring a kirk brimming with potential who learned to bite back after he was kicked down. exploring those themes of trauma and loss, of insecurity and growth, and coming to the conclusion that Fundamentally He Is Capable Of Good isn’t a Bad thing. you don’t have to like it, but his growth into a better person is The Point. they deepened his flaws (all of which were present in a less exaggerated form in TOS) To Show That Growth.

and then of course there’s his relationship with spock.

people are totally justified in not liking that they had a rough start to their relationship, I usually don’t like to see that kind of thing in reboots or hollywood adaptations either, but the way people talk about it is just unfair.

Yes kirk and spock and bones have a very strong relationship in TOS, they also already know each other by the time the show starts. to look at them having to learn to get to know and trust each other when they first meet and say that it’s Bad because they were already full on ride or die for each other in the og series is silly. TOS kirk and spock had to meet and fall in love with each other too, it didn’t just happen over night kings.

secondly, the entire point of the first movie is that Even With reality itself being altered to pull them apart they are fundamentally compatible people that are Bound to each other. they meet each other on bad terms because of circumstances outside of their control, and yet they’re still pulled into each other’s orbit and find the other slotting into place next to them as if they always belonged. one of the first things that spock prime says in the movie is “I am and always will be your friend,” spock and jim are Meant for each other and the movie goes out of its way to explain that. which is what makes it so Weird to see people complaining about how they don’t like each other.

it’s a Different relationship, but it’s absolutely no less steeped in yearning or queer subtext. 

speaking of queer subtext ! some people are Very unhappy with spock’s relationship with uhura.

first thing I wanna say is that making the argument that they’re doing anything that the original series hasn’t done is just, completely untrue. kirk has fallen in love with more girls in the og series than he knew what to do with, leonard nimoy was a heartthrob in his time (and he deserves it, awooga) and spock reflects that ! Spock usually turns the women who come onto him down (or when he doesn’t it’s because a plant has literally altered his mind), but there are exceptions to even that. all of three of the main boys have plenty of romance subplots, it happens. if that takes the possibility of them being queer off the table for you (which it shouldn’t, m-spec people exist) then I’m sorry to say that TOS is not exempt.

now, I can understand why Specifically This Relationship could rub people the wrong way or being disappointed that they didn’t outright depict kirk and spock as having a relationship (if not in the first movie then in the following ones after they’ve gotten to know each other), but even in that context the way I’ve seen people talk about it comes off as insensitive.

no, the relationship did not come out of nowhere. they considered having spock and uhura date each other in the original show (and you can see signs of this in the earlier episodes, where uhura very obviously flirts with him and they spend time together in their down time) before they decided against it, and spock was originally going to kiss uhura until shatner insisted that he wanted to do it (because it was the first interracial kiss on tv). nichelle nichols was asked about this exact thing (spock and uhura’s relationship in the movie), you can read the interview in full here [Link] but I’d like to highlight this paragraph in particular:

“Now, go back to my participation in Star Trek as Uhura and Leonard (Nimoy) as Spock. There was always a connection between Uhura and Spock. It was the early 60’s, so you couldn’t do what you can do now, but if you will remember, Uhura related to Spock. When she saw the captain lost in space out there in her mirror, it was Spock who consoled her when she went screaming out of her room. When Spock needed an expert to help save the ship, you remember that Uhura put something together and related back to him the famous words, “I don’t know if I can do this. I’m afraid.” And Uhura was the only one who could do a spoof on Spock. Remember the song (in “Charlie X”)? Those were the hints, as far as I’m concerned.”

the film makers looked at the fact there were Hints for uhura and spock, that they were Interested in exploring an interracial couple for the first time (both before and immediately after interracial couples won the right to legally get married) but Couldn’t because of the circumstances of the times and decided to Make that depiction. you don’t have to Like their relationship just because of that fact, but it’s Incredibly reductive to play down it’s significance as just a No Homo cop out. explicitly queer relationships are not the only progressive or culturally important relationships in fiction.

moreover, if you can’t imagine polyamory in the communist utopian future that’s on you.

moreover, this perception that this was a soulless cash grab is just, unfounded.

leonard nimoy returned to the role as spock for the first time in 16 years (since 1991) and this was Entirely because of the respect they had for nimoy, spock as a character, and the franchise as a whole. 

Lets look at some quotes from nimoy in interviews regarding the film:

Leonard Nimoy: When I first read the script (...) I immediately contacted J.J. and said “I think it is terrific…I think you guys have done a wonderful job. There is still work to be done, but it is very clear that you and your writers know what you are doing and you know how to do this movie and know what it should be about….and I am very interested.” Then as time went by we worked things out with Paramount, but the most important things were J.J. and the script. (...) I am very pleased about that and I am very comfortable with where this is going. I think the writers have done a terrific job. They have a real sense of the characters and the heart of Star Trek and what it is really all about.

TrekMovie.com: Now in the case of the new movie you have been retired from acting for years. What was it about this one that made you want to act again and go through the make up again? What was it that made you say ‘I really want to do this?’

Leonard Nimoy: You are right, this is a special situation. First it is Star Trek and so I have to pay attention. I owe that to Star Trek. Second place is that it is J.J. Abrams who I think very highly of, he is a very talented guy. Then came the script and it was very clear that I could make a contribution here. again, you don’t have to like it just because leonard nimoy did, you don’t have to Agree. but the idea that nobody working on the film Cared is provably false. near everyone working on the project was already a fan of the series or were excited to be involved and did their homework. it’s genuinely a Miracle just how much of a labor of love this was, and in my opinion you can feel that through the movie itself. I’d highly recommend looking into interviews and behind the scenes details about the movies. they had a respect not just for the source material, but for leonard nimoy as a person.

that said! it’s Fine to not like the movie, not everything is going to be suited to everyone’s taste, but the specific criticisms I’ve seen feel very off base

AceAro Miles Edgeworth’s Platonic Crush on Phoenix Wright Headcanons

Platonic crush: the desire to be platonically intimate with someone without romantic or sexual attraction. Intensity like any kind of crushes can vary. 

In Childhood:

When they were children, Miles would often talk more about Phoenix than Larry, to the point that Ray Shields began teasing him about having a crush on Phoenix. And Miles would be like, “No?” because last time he checked he wasn’t experiencing that “heart stuff” that he sees in zany cartoons.

When they have to sit and rest somewhere, Miles would read a book with at least his knee touching Phoenix. Or if there was enough space, his back touching Phoenix’s side. No, Larry, it’s not a snuggle, now hush. (Similar to how a cat would lounge at their favorite owner’s side while casually not looking at them).

As much as he enjoyed them as the Signal Samurai trio, his favorite moments were just talking with Phoenix about anything under the sun -in the early hour before class or when they have dropped Larry home and it was just him and Phoenix. 

He often looked forward to the quiet instances that Phoenix would hold his hand while they’re walking home alone since Phoenix is more at ease with affection than he was.

Some teenagers hollered at them for it and Phoenix let go, embarrassed, while Miles was wondering why he was embarrassed when they both know it was because they were good friends. So he just stubbornly grabbed his hand again and dragged him away from those immature buffoons.

Miles was neutral when it comes to Valentines Day. But when Phoenix received a box of chocolates from a girl he likes, Miles became more aloof and disinterested. He wondered why there was no celebration for friendship. Idle time was spent on thinking what gift he would give Phoenix if there was a proper day for celebrating best friends. (Larry is also his best friend but he doesn’t have the word that distinguishes his friendship with Larry and friendship with Phoenix.)

Miles was disappointed that he was unable to find the specific term between best friend and deeper best friend. Even his father doesn’t know. Gregory Edgeworth assured him he would find it someday.

Being someone who thinks ahead, Miles knew that someday Phoenix might not prioritize and value their friendship as much as he does once Phoenix would get a girlfriend. Miles tried very hard not to think of the time they would be in middle school.

After Gregory’s death, Miles never received Phoenix’s letters as von Karma wants to isolate him from his original home. Even when Miles appreciate the song request from Phoenix dedicated to him, von Karma made it clear that sentimental relations will distract him from perfection. Plus, Miles thought it was a one time and that Phoenix probably had a girlfriend to dedicate himself to by now.

In Adulthood (Platonic Crush to Queerplatonic Attraction to QP Love):

Early Career. When Miles received college Phoenix’s letters, his first reaction was confusion. Out-of-the-blue this ghost from the past was asking him why he was being called Demon Prosecutor. Second reaction was stonewalling. There was no point delving about how a person used to make him feel. 

State vs Fey. After the trial, Miles told himself he developed an intellectual hyperfixation towards Phoenix Wright as he arranged his brand new custom chess set with the “spike-y” pawns. He was half-right. If only he wasn’t so entangled with von Karma’s opinions on “sentimental relations”.

State vs Powers. Miles’ platonic crush resurfaced somewhere after Will Powers’ case and Phoenix asking to defend him.

State vs Edgeworth. He faintly realized at the moment Phoenix had smiled at him in relief once Miles got acquitted, that Phoenix was someone he wanted in his life. If only Miles deserved so. 

Miles would never admit he finds a unique sense of enjoyment in working with cases where Phoenix had to defend. He doubted if a lot of people experience intimacy in rivalry.

State vs Skye. Unfortunately, Miles have bigger things to deal with like coming into terms with a mentor that had both raised and twisted him, struggling to find a new norm as eyes watched him, his very story available to the public, then having to face the Skye case that made him question everything he was as a prosecutor. 

It all became too much and he wasn’t thinking straight and one of those thoughts was that Phoenix was better off knowing a better person than him. 

State vs Engarde. The belief was instilled when Phoenix got mad at him for faking his own death.

After having a talk and Miles realizing that cutting people off abruptly was more of a dick move than he thought, he and Phoenix kept in touch after.

In the space he had given himself in Europe, Miles decided that aside from becoming a better lawyer, he wanted to be the friend Phoenix deserved to have in his life, with the same intimacy they had in childhood that he still couldn’t name. 

State vs Iris. Miles was pretty much neutral around Iris. If Phoenix would decide to rekindle his relationship with her (though the deception made him wrinkle his nose no matter how true Iris’ feelings were at that time), he wouldn’t care as long as he and Phoenix would still be in good terms as partners. Even if Phoenix would not put as much special connotations as he would in their partnership. That was all he could ask for after everything. 

Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth. Whenever Kay would tease him about “that man”, Miles would just look at her dryly. At this point, he should know not a lot of people would understand.

7-year Disbarment. Phoenix’s disbarment drew them closer together after Miles’ was finally able to contact him when Phoenix shut everyone out. Miles couldn’t do much being in Europe but he does what he could from flying them to Europe so that Phoenix could help him with his cases to caring for Trucy.

Their commitment for each other only grew from raising Trucy together to righting Japanifornia’s legal system. 

Miles wished he could kiss Phoenix on the forehead without making it weird. It just felt like Phoenix needed it. Comforting Phoenix with hugs and handholding, at least, was never questioned for romantic interest.

When Phoenix began to study for the bar again, Miles often enjoy Phoenix falling asleep on his shoulder. Unseen, Miles would smile before poking him awake.

He enjoys movie nights with the Wright family where Trucy and Phoenix would snuggle close and dinner/banter with Phoenix every week. 

Fantasies of sleep-snuggling with the man he admires and trusts the most and has an intense emotional-intellectual connection? Of course, he does. “So near and yet so far” has never been so painful in that one time they have to share a bed.

After Phoenix got his badge back, Miles was pretty much satisfied. His life was more stable, inner and outer, than it had ever been. Phoenix and Trucy’s life were also stable. Miles now felt more confident and comfortable in their bond and Miles would do what it takes to keep it as a part of his life.

He may have felt a little thrill when they both become comfortable enough for Phoenix to be casually affectionate with his touch -an arm around his shoulder as they laugh about something, a hand on his arm when asking about a case- it felt like back in their more carefree childhood. 

State vs Wyatt. Miles was pretty much ruffled with questions about marriage directed at him of all people. But if he has to marry someone, it might as well be someone he knew so well and trusts so much. Miles may have opted out some of his opinions in marriage but he was no longer the person who would lie to himself of who that someone would be.  

He wanted... something. He wanted a sort of exclusivity with Phoenix. The idea of Phoenix dating other people made Miles realized he wasn’t the type to share. The revelation itself was frustrating when he was neutral or repulsed of varying degrees when it comes to different romantic and sexual acts.

With a combination of finally having the words to describe what he wanted in Google Search and help with his therapist, the name of what he wanted with Phoenix was a queerplatonic relationship with a compromise on whatever would be Phoenix’s romantic/sexual needs from him. If Phoenix would have him as so. And if Phoenix wouldn’t... well, their friendship had been through a lot of things, this one event wouldn’t change it much.
