“A round of Applaus for the Honeybee Inn’s new Queen Bee: Cloud Strife!”
Again this took way more time, than I was planning to invest in it. The whole idea for this drawing is based on a costume design by simplydifficultart on Instagram and the “Queen Bee Cloud” AU the two of us came up with on a whim. XD
Commissions open.
Don’t like, don’t interact. (°u°)b
Please don’t steal and/or repost. I am present on twitter and instagram too, as Kai Brannan. So if you want to promote my art there, you can do so by linking to the original. Everything else is art theft and I know enough about copyright to get your account suspended for it. (òuó)b

... I... I am feeling... so many things right now. This scene f*cked me in ways I didn’t think I could be f*cked in.
This f*cked me in the eyebrows!
Whoever it was during the development of this game that said “Let’s turn the Honeybee Inn into a flashy cabaret club where Cloud unlocks his inner sub”; give them every gaming award ever created, cause they earned it!
There is so much being done right here that I genuinely can’t pick what part of this scene is my favorite.
Maybe it’s how much the music f*cking slaps! Maybe it’s how Cloud busts out his sword during dance practice like this is just how people dance and the honeygirls are completely into it! Maybe it’s because I’ve had “Stand Up” stuck in my head these past few days! Maybe it’s because Andrea Rhodea is such a f*cking icon and I love him! Maybe it’s how Cloud knows the exact moves to do even though he said earlier in the game that he doesn’t dance and he just got dragged into this out of nowhere! Maybe it’s Aerith (depending on if you’re doing good at the rhythm game) loving every second of it and being all precious and supportive and “You’re doing amazing, sweetie!” Maybe it’s how they managed to strip Cloud down and make him up on stage in a matter of seconds! Maybe it’s how Aerith was eagerly awaiting the reveal and was in complete awe of the results like she’s awakening her inner lesbian! Maybe it’s how God damn gorgeous those dresses were (especially that black dress with the blue corset, I want that dress in real life) on Cloud! Maybe it’s the fact that Cloud is walking and dancing effortlessly in heels even though I can barely manage them! Maybe it’s that bit where Andrea dips him and calls him perfect while their lips are literally three inches apart and Cloud gives this lovestruck expression and his lips part slightly, making this bit the perfect thumbnail photo! Maybe its that nice message they give at the end about true beauty not being restricted to basic gender concepts and to not be afraid to express yourself in whatever way you see fit! Or maybe it’s because it gave me the excuse to call Cloud a grumpy gay sword boi, something that I only ever said about Felix!
This was an acid trip to end all acid trips and I want 90 more just like it!
I’m not even exaggerating when I say that if you’ve been on the fence about getting this game in case it suffers from “bad remake” disease or if your knowledge and intrigue in Final Fantasy is limited, I highly endorse getting this game just for this scene alone. This convinced me, someone who the only FF game I’ve played from start to finish is 4, to buy it!
It’s majestic as f*ck!

Dance Break - Cloud Strife x Reader
This is ridiculous and maybe not my greatest, but I like thinking about little moments like this.
~~~~~
                I hum along to the song, letting my hips rock to the beat. Just as I put the glass down to dry, the chorus kicks up and I perhaps let myself get a little too into the song. Chores abandoned, I indulge in my guilty pleasure and the good fortune of being home alone. Or so I thought.
                I strike a pose to finish the song.
                “Cute.”
                And I’m absolutely ashamed to admit that I may have screamed. Standing in the doorway, clearly amused, is my boyfriend that I hadn’t heard return home.
                Feeling the blood rush to my face, I fidget with my hair. “C-Cloud! When did you get home?!”
                There’s a self-satisfied smirk threatening to take over his normally stoic expression. “Sometime between the first two choruses.”
                I attempt to hide my embarrassment behind my hands. “Of course you would come home while I’m acting like a dork.”
                “Last I remember, you said you’d be out shopping today,” he says, ambling back into the living room.
                “I already did that,” I huff, trailing after him.
                He sits on the sofa to start pulling at his boots. “Just checking. I’d like to not go without dinner because you were having a dance party in the kitchen.”
                “Excuse you. If it weren’t for me, you’d be eating take out and vegetables you don’t even know the name of every day,” I retort. He scowls but I ignore it. “Doing all the shopping and chores gets boring without a dance party break.”
                “Whatever you say.” I hate the way he says that, as if he’s above moments of ridiculousness. Grabbing his arm, I pull the man back to his feet. “What?”
                “Dance with me.”
                There’s a satisfying little tint blossoming in his cheeks. “What?”
                “Come on. Dance!” I demand, with a little shimmy.
                “No.”
                I’m so dramatic sometimes. “Cloud!” I whine.
                He starts for the stairs. “I’m not dancing with you.”
                “Whyyyyyyyy!”
                He takes the first step. “Because I don’t dance.”
                “Bullshit.” I slap my hand across my mouth, the response having come up automatically.
                Cloud, however, clearly heard my retort. He pauses and looks back at me. “What was that?”
                Well, I’m busted now. I fidget with my fingers and avoid eye contact. “Uh…Well…”
                No longer interested in retreating upstairs, the man turns to me and folds his arms. “What did you say?” I turn away, pretending to be interested in moving his boots closer to the door. He calls my name in warning. I glance back at him. There’s a stern expression there because he knows I can never avoid him for long. “What are you hiding from me?”
                “You really don’t wanna know,” I say in warning.
                “Tell me,” he reiterates.
                Knowing how this is going to turn out for him, a corner of my lips tugs back. “You’re not gonna like it.”
                “Last warning.”
                “Okaaay,” I chime. I amble towards the bookshelf and walk my fingers along the items until I find a CD case. I pull the disc, unable to contain my grin. “You see, I happen to have this very delightful video from my good friend, Andrea.”
                Just as I expected and to my true delight, Cloud’s suspicion falls to horror. “Andrea Rhodea?”
                “Mmhm. Gave it to me as a gift last year,” I coo. “It’s an excellently choreographed dance starring him and this really sexy blonde guy.” I pop the case open. “We should watch it.”
                “No!” I step back just as Cloud steps closer to stop me. I’m in love with that distraught look of his mixed in with the embarrassment I’ve turned on him.
                I giggle. “What’s wrong, babe? Life can be fun, it can be bitter,” I sing, reveling in the red deepening across his face. “But we can make it oh so sweet.”
                “Why did he even have that recorded?!” snaps Cloud. The blonde swipes for the disk which I barely manage to get out of his reach.
                I shrug. “Andrea recorded all his performances. When I ran into him, I happened to mention we were dating and he went almost giddy. Sent me a copy a week later and I can see why.” Groaning, the man puts a hand to his face. “Oh come on. You were fantastic! I’m kinda hooked on that bit in the middle.” I attempt to mimic the body roll.
                He rolls his eyes. “If you’re going to mock me, you could at least do it right.”
                “Shut up. I didn’t practice unlike you.”
                “I had like ten minutes of practice before they dragged me on stage and I’d never danced before.”
                I fold my arms. This is working splendidly. “Fine. You do it then.” He glares. “Go on. Show me how you do it.”
                Absolutely cherry red and dragging his hands over his face, Cloud takes a deep breath. I could squeal watching him and it gets better when he continues a little more. But only a little because he stops, face still red and clearly embarrassed. I, on the other hand, am grinning like a fool, fists curled tightly in front of my chest in a thinly veiled attempt to physically contain my excitement. This cartoonish enthusiasm seems to douse Cloud’s anxiety somewhat as a golden brow arches at me.
                “What?”
                “It’s so cool!” I blurt out. “You looked great in that dance and I can’t believe you still remember it!”
                Finally, a smile breaks through. “You really enjoyed that performance?” It’s my turn to flush and a hand goes to my mouth, this time trying to hide my shame. “______?”
                “I, uh…heh, I might…probably…watch it…every other week.” Cloud’s eyes widen. “Maybe more.”
                Sighing, Cloud shakes his head. “Oh my gods. How have I not caught you before?”
                “You’re actually pretty oblivious inside this house,” I reply cheerily. He glares. “Yuffie was here for like a week last month. You didn’t say a thing.”
                “She-…” He seems almost awestruck, yet devastated. “She was?!” I nod. His face suddenly deadpans. “Please tell me you didn’t show her the video.”
                “No! That’s my secret!” I retort. My childishness turns to a grin. “Only I get to watch how fabulous you were.” He dies a little inside. “Now dance with me! And don’t say you don’t because you clearly can.”
                He sighs in defeat, I squeal in delight, and music fills the house. I never, in my entire life, would’ve thought Cloud could actually do something that seems as frivolous as dancing, but he’s actually pretty good. My victory is all the sweeter when I notice that he’s truly enjoying being dorky in the living room with me. The smile that he saves just for me, that never fails to send my heart aflutter, plays across his lips the entire time and I never want this happy moment to end. It feels as if we’ve had so few in our chaotic lives that every one becomes so incredibly precious. And I’ll be forever grateful that the number of these moments only seems to grow as we continue to share our lives together.
                Feeling a bit warm and a little out of breath, I sit on the sofa beside my boyfriend. The glass I sip from is then offered to him, which he takes, but before he drinks, apparently there’s a question on his mind.
                “So how do you know Andrea?”
                “I used to work for him.”
                Cloud’s water comes back out. “What?!”
This is what happens when Cloud secretly loves dancing. He takes private lessons with Andrea, and rewarded no matter how bad he sucks at it. A release for all the stress and tension that Cloud is feeling.
Maybe I'll turn this into a fic.
I made all the manips, except the dancing gif.
