the fact that neither kendall nor logan ever seem to find out that greg had spent the night with andrew dodds the day before he died is insane to me. one has to assume that andrew took greg to the very same place that kendall and logan visit, too, considering how close it is to the wedding venue. greg was there. he probably got snuck through the halls of andrew's parents' house in the middle of the night, and smoked weed (and hooked up) with him in his bedroom, and stayed the night. did greg meet andrew's parents, you think? did they see him in the morning or did andrew make sure that they'd never cross paths? did they have any idea their son had brought someone over? and if they did, did they ever mention it tangentially? the doddses knew their son was a bit of a wild one but didn't want to admit it and make it look like it was his fault he died - that much is said by logan. but maybe they also said that it's just even more of a shock because of how things were before. he seemed perfectly fine the previous night, in fact he brought someone home from the wedding, a very nice boy, he seemed like he'd wanted to see him again. and there's just no way to know that it was greg, so no one knows. but it's so fucked up to imagine logan hearing this, or really in general speaking to andrew's parents at all, and just having no clue. i mean, does greg himself even know that it was the same guy he smoked and slept with who died? did colin ever go to him and say "i know you were with him the night before, but i want to assure you that no one suspects anything from you"? or did even he not know? is this just greg's little secret forever?
has anyone interviewed the andrew dodds actor on what its like to be one of the most influential characters in succession but only have been in one episode 😭
You know what I really loved about the Succession finale? Is that the incident with the waiter at the end of season 1 had long lasting repercussions, and trauma for Kendall in one way or another. It haunted him all throughout the second and third season and culminated in him tearfully confessing to his siblings.
Then in the final episode Shiv brings up the fact the he can’t be CEO after having accidentally killed someone. And when Kendall tries gaslights his siblings into believing that it didn’t happen the way it did, that’s the moment that completely loses his position as the leader, as well as any kind of respect Roman and Shiv had for him.
One big life changing incident that refused to let go of Kendall. No matter how much his daddy covered it up. No matter how much he tried to forget it, no matter how much he tried to reframe it, it got back to him in the end and destroyed him.
the way andrew is looking at greg while they smoke weed + greg talking about tom somehow leading to him being invited back to andrew's place + greg choosing to go stay with this poor rando instead of super nice accomodations + "great night, man" before thanking him for the ride + greg pretending to kendall like he doesn't already know andrew + logan alluding to kendall wanting to fuck andrew....... like is there an OUNCE of evidence either textual or metatextual that greg did NOT hook up with that guy
