there is something to be said for candle run burnout for sure, like it now takes so many candles to get things that you want, as well as the pricing for paid items of course. The entire thing just makes me wonder if sky: cotl should follow in the footsteps of animal crossing: pocket camp and just make a paid game with no in-app purchases. I think the team are trying to tackle the CR burnout tho with different mechanics such as revamping daily quests (personally i don't like the revamp as it is now, but it's clearly in its early stages!). There's just...a lot going on and it would be better in my opinion if there was no IAP at all, especially because I've seen players be weird in the past about it, like trying to justify paid items by talking about veteran status (idk how veteran status correlates with being able to pay for IAP). Overall I think there needs to be a revamp of sky as a whole.
Again, this got long. I have thoughts.
Yeah, IAP is a really tricky topic. On one hand, it's kinda how free games make money, so I personally get not cutting it out completely. On the other, it really seems like ALL the good cosmetics are IAP.
I mean, in Days of Sunlight, there are 7 IGC items (50 Tickets, 384C, and 30 H). and 11 IAP items ($200+ USD). What's worse is most people can't even afford all the IGC items so you end up getting 3-5 items out of the total 18. For a game that's a lot about cosmetic collection, that sucks for the average player!
I'm not personally bothered but the 20+ ticket values. If you're more or less collecting, you can get them fairly easily. You can miss almost half the days and still get the two items. (84 tickets over 14 days. 50 tickets for the two cosmetics. you can miss 5, almost 6 days and still have enough) I have more to say on Ticket Cosmetics, but I'll save that for later.
I wouldn't be as bothered by this insane IAP to IGC item split if they were affordable and if IGC items as a whole stood up to the design and demand of the IAP. Apparently, the earrings were GOING to be IGC but were last minute switched with the floaty. There are SO few earrings, so making them IAP really sucks. It feels like the umbrella problem now. (of the 7 umbrellas, only 2 are IGC as TS)
I would love to see the IAP disappear altogether too, but that's just not realistic. From a financial standpoint for the company, as well as just in general. People hate them, but people still buy them. If anything I could maybe see a price reduction in IAP but with that comes the fact that now those who paid the higher price were "scammed" and that could create legal problems.
I have no idea what TGC could do, but for starters, I'd ask to lower IGC item prices and make fewer IAP items. Whether that will happen or not, I'm not optimistic, unfortunately.
#please keep sending asks!#I'm really enjoying answering them and this is a more organized way to get my thoughts out about things without becoming a 30 page post XD#sky cotl#sky children of the light#tgc critical#skyblr#that game company#thatgamecompany#textpost#Ask

So, news is that Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is shutting down its servers, and instead there will be a one-time-payment offline version to keep your progress with.
And I don't know if it's just my relationship with the game, but I'm thinking pretty positively about that!
I used to play the game actively when it was new, but, like all games, I eventually dropped off my interest in it and it was relegated to the large rotation of when-I-feel-like-it mobile titles.
The last time I remember actively playing was during a Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee tie-in where I used my hoarded Leaf Tickets to ensure I got all the Pokemon stuff and made my campsite a replica of Oak's lab as best I could on one side and an Eevee shrine on the other. To this day, this is my campsite's layout. And my character is in an Eevee outfit.
I dipped in and out enough to customize my backdrop/foreground to be as trippy as possible. Underwater sky, cloud entrance, and I don't remember what the middle is. I haven't played during the day recently so it's all been night tones so I don't really remember what it looks like.
But every time I dropped in it just felt awful to play. Advertisements plastered around the screen, a new Happy Home feature that you had to pay Leaf Tickets to get the most out of, every set you could outright buy was split between Bells and Leaf Tickets, and of course the coolest stuff was Leaf Tickets. So. Many. Fortune. Cookies. Events that seemed like a predatory time-suck or money-suck if you didn't dedicate your life to the game.
It was overwhelming and it seemed like 90% of the interesting stuff was paid-for. So I usually just dipped in, mashed through the advertisements, spoke to some villagers, and left. So much of the game felt like lookie-no-touchy because I'm free-to-play so I just stuck to the bare basics I remembered.
And really, with my Pokemon-themed campsite with the trippy background elements, I felt that I had peaked. There would be nothing I found more interesting than that.
---
So when I saw the announcement about the game being taken down and replaced with a one-time-fee version, I was only happy.
Because something else recent was that I was thinking about how I don't really have any offline games I like right now on my phone, and I'm at a loss as to how to find a one-time-payment, microtransaction-free game on the app store. Since all it's advertising to me is free-to-play games and the few ones that have prices also have the "contains microtransactions" small print.
Whatever the offline version is, I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
If it's barebones and has none of the microtransaction items available, then it'll still be a cozy game to casually do tasks for the animals in, without all the ads clogging my screen every time I enter.
If the microtransaction items are available, all the better! I can work towards whatever I want to, and while my campsite is already my ideal, I can get my camper and that other building all decorated in new and interesting ways.
I haven't finished befriending all the villagers, so that will also be a feature, regardless of how it works.
And most of all, I want to encourage this behavior. I am free-to-play in almost all cases, especially with online mobile games. I find recurring payments for a game that can go offline at any moment just not worth it.
An offline game I already know I enjoy with a one-time payment option, that is worth it.
Honestly, during the days of free-to-start 3DS games that had a hard cap of like $30 before you basically unlocked the full game and didn't have to (couldn't, in fact) pay any more, I liked that. None of the games that had that system appealed to me enough to buy, but I liked the system for sure.
So yes, I approve, and I am excited to learn more.

🎀 A photo from my Animal Crossing Pocket Camp 🎀
I might do a whole tour of my camp, cabin, and camper if anyone wants, including a list of decorations and items I used! I am free to play, so most everything I have is inexpensive as far as leaf tickets.

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Hack - Unlimited Leaf Tickets 100%Free
Here we introduce the one and only Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Hack & Cheats by which a game user can get ample of leaf tickets for free of cost. But before knowing more about animal crossing pocket camp hack tool we should see some things regarding the game.
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Gameplay
HACK NOW
In this section, we’ll talk about the walkthrough of the game, what all activities you can do in the game and have more fun. Animal Crossing pocket game is a social simulation game where you interact with different animals in the area and perform different tasks. You can also customize your avatars, their living spaces. You also get the chance to trade materials and favors for the decorative items present in the game.
The game is all about creativity, how beautifully, you can decorate and place and perform the tasks in time. In Pocket Camp, you decorate the campsite in the town, and then you must gather materials like wood and cotton that you can trade with furniture orders. The player-character also befriends neighboring characters and then you can ask them to visit the player’s campsite. Other humans are invited at random.
The player’s avatar can travel to multiple locations. You can go to Sunburst Island or Saltwater Shores; you can also roam around in the marketplace where you can buy furniture and avatar clothing. Your customization options in the game extend to your avatar’s gender, facial traits, and vehicle abode as well.
In the game, your neighbors in the nearby “recreation sites” will reward you with crafting materials for completing requests. Then, there you have one local blacksmith/carpenter who can turn these things into furniture, pools, and new locations. The best part of the game that you would be able to attract specific neighbors by putting their furniture that they like at the campsite. After each visit, you would see an increase in the relationship’s experience level. If you have played the previous versions of the game, you can also fish and pay off a debt similarly to their home.
As we discussed that this mobile game introduces the microtransaction currency, Leaf Tickets that can be used to reduce in-game timers or you can also craft without raw materials with its help. You can get leaf tickets by completing in-game tasks, or you can also buy through the real-world currencies. You can also trade your currencies for special event furniture, and that would help to attract special characters to your campsite. Nintendo is planning to launch some seasonal events and some furniture that would have limited availability.

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Hack Review
The animal crossing pocket camp hack has received the praise worldwide. After the release of the cheat tool, it has been downloaded more than 1million times that itself shows the popularity of the hack all around the world. The animal crossing pocket camp hack is perfect fun if you are playing with friends it gives the perfect simulation of the real world. The free leaf tickets in the game are also very funny and cute.
After the launch of Nintendo’s Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes, this was the third most anticipated game. I would say the animal crossing pocket camp hack has got a pretty good start as it crossed the 1million mark within a week. According to the gaming experts, it would touch the 5million mark soon the way it’s growing.
We compare the number of downloads in the first week then Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes had around 3 million and 1 million downloads, respectively. According to Sensor Tower’s data if you ask which game is the most popular among all three then certainly number tells a lot. Super Mario comes. First, Animal Crossing Hack comes second whether Fire Emblem stands as the third position.
If we scrutinize this number of downloads, then we can clear idea how much money this app is making, but Sensor Tower did not have those figures. But when it comes to app’s success, the app is free to download, the number of in-app purchases would only decide the revenue generated by the app.
In that regard, it would be quite impossible to say how much money Pocket Camp Hack is making, since the animal crossing pocket camp cheats have the 1 ranking in the top games hack list on the google. That’s not very bad on the list of millions of apps. But we won’t be able to predict the exact numbers. So, we have just to wait and watch the time Google reveals its numbers. We can’t say whether this game would be a financial success for the company or not.
But, regarding popularity, it certainly has gained some momentum, the app is having around 2 million downloads daily, if it keeps on growing at the same speed, it will reach more than 100million within three months. If you have played the game, don’t forget to share your experience in the comments below. We would happily add your review to the article if possible.

feel like pure shit just want the old version of gulliver’s cargo ship on pocket camp back
#animal crossing#animal crossing pocket camp#i had to wait like 16-18 HOURS for the ship to come back after using all my friend powder crafting cargo#and the souvenir was 2 request tickets#i don't even USE those#i'd rather just have kept the old system where you just gave gulliver 10 furniture or clothing items you didn't want anymore#and he came back in 6 hours with guaranteed snacks and a chance for an animal map#if they didn't release new villagers i'd have abandoned the cargo ship#and the free fortune cookies are now useless after you've gotten all the items from them

(Response to Spot)
Shadow R 😺🗡️: Well they do have a Chocobo GP on the Switch. But they do have Chocobo Racing on PlayStation 1. Even if I get another Memory card or get another PlayStation 3 to play PlayStation 1 games on, I'm sure it'll be fun. Otherwise we'll risk in getting the PlayStation Plus Premium which is Hell of a lot of Money! 😓
But it's fine that you can or cannot be good at JRPG or RPG games. It can be fun to get use to. Especially the Persona games. 😉
As for Micro Transactions, I had the same situation when I used to play a Free to Play Nintendo game on my 3DS. Then when I play some on my Switch and Cellphone, I had to use PayPal if I want to buy anything important. But I have to use it Wisely even if want to buy something a little different. And I'm sure you can do missions to earn the Gems without buying them. That's how it worked to me when playing Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, Mario Kart Tour, Super Mario Run, and Pokemon Cafe Remix. Which those are the Free to Play Titles I recommend. Just only if you like to earn leaf ticket, Rubies and Acorns with or without buying them or doing missions to earn them.
And for our Outfits, I bet we're ready to have Scorn join with us on a Kingdom Smash adventure. 😊

the nintendo switch online app allows chatting and qr code scanning!
the musem and campsite return, plus nook’s cranny and able sisters

hello!!! i’m chey and before i introduce you all to my boy yijae, i would first like to let it be known that the only form of animal crossing i have ever played is pocket camp </3 but i watch the hell out of island tours on yt so i was so excited to see this rp in the tags! you can find yijae’s profile here and his plots here and.... a mess under the cut but i’ll call it an intro
first of all: no, his name is not actually yijae. it’s a play on his name because another romanization of the surname lee is yi, so it’s his surname + the second syllable of his given name. might refer to him as this in threads, might not, but it’s his main nickname that his friends prob use with him! he likes it a lot.
the youngest of three. was really young when he lost his parents, doesn’t have any solid memories of them so he kind of views his siblings as half-siblings, half-parents.
endured a lot of people telling him that he was lucky to have siblings to look after him and needed to behave well, show appreciation, not give them a hard time. most people who said that meant well, but it bothered him a lot bc that’s like telling a kid they can’t get upset Ever because they’re lucky someone is raising them.
anyway it resulted in him being an ass-kisser as a kid, didn’t want to give anyone (esp his siblings) a reason to view him as a nuisance / pest
developed really, really good people skills bc he was constantly looking for ways to make himself useful / valuable in some way, felt like he had to prove his worth. genuinely very social, likes people a lot so it’s whatever, really. he probably would’ve ended up developing good people skills regardless
he does have a rly bad temper tho...... beware
also has anxiety and a lot of his symptoms are the lesser understood ones (w/ the main one being irritability/anger), so mix that with his naturally short temper and he do b causing scenes and hurting feelings sometimes
literally always seen carrying some kind of bottle w/ water in it because once he starts getting overwhelmed, he starts getting Hot and it’s just.... handy to have water at his disposal whenever he needs it yk
most of the time, he’s pretty well-put together and very very smiley!!! considered the face of able siblings’ clothing shop bc he greets each and every customer with a smile. always available to answer questions, give recommendations, relay messages to his siblings or just chat! not really all that skilled when it comes to sewing or any other skills directly related to clothes (which is partially why customer service is his main duty) but if u’re in a rush, he’ll try really hard
pretty much the only thing that can make him lose his cool w/ customers is if you come in and start talkin shit about any of the items
values the store a lot, but also kind of feels like he carries more than his fair share of the weight. definitely not true LMAO but that belief makes him get annoyed w/ his siblings sometimes
if you ever come into the store at the wrong moment and find him throwing a fit / fighting with his sibling, no you didn’t <3
keeps a sketchbook full of clothing ideas. ofc he’ll never make any of ‘em because he’s not quite that crafty, but he shares them with his siblings / with other store employees to see if they’re up to the challenge. collects lots of different fashion magazines to keep up with trends or just to look at bc he thinks fashion’s neat
if he’s not @ the store, he’s probably riding his bike around either one of the islands. enjoys bike rides a ton, likes to feel the wind in his hair and nonchalantly see what’s going on outside of the shop (aka he’s nosy)
fun, but also kind of flaky??? like he’s the guy who will Definitely go to that party with you on short notice but will also call out of plans you made with him 6 months ago
sometimes he goes mia for a couple days, always has some really dumb explanation like “i was hunting for crabs and i lost track of time” or “i was attending a 4-day clown seminar” or “i was camping with my boy, bigfoot” but really he’s just been laying in his bed and trying to re-energize. it b that way sometimes
speaking of crabs... he likes them a lot! thinks they’re groovy lil’ things. ticket into his heart? crab-hunting with him!!!! he doesn’t disturb them too much, he just likes to dig them out of the sand and look at them for a minute, then let them go. he thinks they’re super funny-looking so sometimes he just... laughs his ass off as they scuttle away. some people who have witnessed this have nicknamed him The Crab Bully, but he doesn’t have any bad intentions. it’s just entertaining for him
wears glasses most of the time bc his sight is terrible. could wear contacts, yeah, but he has chronically dry eyes and artificial tears only go So Far! aka it’s more comfy to wear glasses even if they make his face look even rounder than it already is
has a slight lisp. very very slight. mainly when he has to pronounce s/th or l/r... skz stans you know what i’m talking about
fucks with his hair a lot. kind of a comfort thing, kind of a fashion thing. it’s dark blue atm, but it changes pretty frequently. he does it himself, too, so you already know his hair is fried to HELLLLLL
really social, but also might ghost you for three weeks and then resume the convo as if he never left. knows he looks like the pleading emoji (god knows he’s been told enough times) so he uses his cuteness to his advantage when he knows he’s been actin like a dirtbag. also might send funny animal vids to ease his way back into ur life
when i say he’s really social, i mean he’s really social. will talk to anyone and everyone. make eye contact with him for half a second On Accident and oh, no, here he goes. very interested in other people, wants to know everything you’re willing to share. depending on the person, this can either be really comforting or really overwhelming. u think u want him to shut up but then he shuts up and it’s like damn..... why isn’t yijae talking. that’s weird
idk... i feel like i’m leaving out some really important info but this is all ive got for now. feel free to ask me if there’s anything else you wanna know about him!

It has standard apps, like a camera and map, but over time, new applications will be added to support your island needs. The camera can be used to take in-game photos all over the island – you can even add fancy filters like all the cool kids are doing!
Nook Miles: For players looking for more concrete goals, and to help offer guidance and inspiration on the island, you can take advantage of the Nook Mileage program. As you fulfill certain challenges and experiences, you will earn miles to pay off the cost of the getaway package or, eventually, to exchange for in-game rewards. Rewards range from in-game Nook Inc. merchandise and helpful items that can enrich your time on the island, to tickets that you can use to visit distant islands.
Island Tours: These “mystery island tours” are at the whim of the pilot, so you never know where you will end up! Once on these smaller islands, feel free to gather as many items as you want – like DIY materials and creatures – and take them back with you to your island.
Party Play: With the Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway package, up to eight people can live on one island.* In Party Play, you can call up to three other players to explore the island at the same time. Whoever calls the others will be the Leader, making the others the Followers. It’s easy to change out the Leader, letting others quickly take charge. Any creatures or items found by Followers will be stored in a recycle box at the Resident Services building!
Land Development: While you can cross rivers on your island by pole-vaulting and climb elevated land using ladders, you can also change the landscape by adding bridges and slopes. Once your island is fully decked out, you’ll receive a permit to freely pave your own paths, as well as perform major construction like changing the paths of rivers or building and demolishing cliffs. With your own maintenance and construction permits, you can flex your creative muscles on the land itself, not just the stuff on it.
NookLink: Yes, Tom Nook likes to put his name on everything. But when it’s a Nook product or service, you know you are getting something that’s high quality. With NookLink, which is part of the Nintendo Switch Online app, you can scan a Custom Design QR Code pattern from previous games Animal Crossing: New Leaf or Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer with your real-life smartphone and then download them to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. When connected online, you can talk with friends who also have the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game with the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app using your smartphone as a keyboard or for voice chat. NookLink will launch in March, soon after the selected departure included in your Deserted Island Getaway Package.
A Detailed Breakdown of the Getaway Package Experience!
Choose Your Island: Before boarding your flight to the island, you will choose the island from a range of options. Choosing to live in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere, for example, will affect the timing of the seasons, so select the location that suits you best. When the seasons change on the island, so do the activities. For Northern Hemisphere residents, spring will just be starting when the game launches on March 20, so expect blooming cherry blossoms to show up soon!
Orientation: After landing on the island, you will receive a helpful orientation session from the Nook Inc. staff. At this time, you’ll be provided with the tent that’s included with your getaway package. You can chat with other island residents about where you want to set up your new home, and help them choose their home locations as well.
Resident Services: The Resident Services facility is available to support your daily needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They provide you with services such as the sale of everyday goods, the purchase of unwanted items and helpful advice.
Become a Home Owner: The tent provided to you by Nook Inc. is great, but have you considered a house? Home loans have no deadlines, interest or assessment, and you can pay your loan back at your own pace. A house offers much more space than a tent and also includes storage space for any extra furniture and baggage. Once you own a home, you can channel your inner interior designer, setting up the walls, flooring and furniture however you like. You can also use extension and remodeling services to expand and customize your home even more.
Customization Deluxe: Animal Crossing: New Horizons offers more customization options than ever before, from personalizing the look of your character all the way down to skin tone, hairstyle and clothing, to placing buildings and items wherever you want on the island. You can even decorate the inside and outside of your home! Turn that island into a MY land!
Airport: This is the first place you will land on the island. (It is an airport, after all.) It’s also available to use 24 hours a day, beginning on the day after your arrival. At the airport, you can invite residents of other islands to your own island via the internet or local wireless. You can also travel and visit other islands yourself! Up to eight people can play on a given island at one time**, so feel free to get a good group together and make some fantastic memories.
Island-wide Broadcasts: At the start of each day, Mr. Nook, CEO of Nook Inc., will make a broadcast to all residents, updating them with the latest on important island events and advice about how to best enjoy island living.
Features and Updates to Further Your Island Enjoyment!
New Residents: When you first land on the island you will only have a few animal residents living there with you. But as you develop your island from the ground up, more neighbors will visit and choose to move in. You can even invite some of the new residents to live there yourself! There’s nothing better than a welcoming neighbor.
Free Updates: Free updates will be added after the game launches, with seasonal events continually added throughout the year. The first free update will be on launch day, March 20. By installing this update, you can celebrate Bunny Day with a special event in April. If you own both Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp for mobile devices and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you’ll receive special items in each game. Details will be announced at a later date on the official Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Twitter account.
Additional Facilities: As you grow your island, more facilities will be built. This includes a museum showcasing the rich ecosystem of the island, a shop full of ready-made furniture and goods you can’t craft yourself, a tailor offering clothing and fashion items, and a campsite where you can invite guests for recreational purposes.
Tourists & Events: Your island will not only be home to new residents, but also tourists as well! These temporary visitors are always welcome and can offer up items that cannot be crafted on the island. Visitors can also participate in fun events like Fishing Tourneys and Bug-Offs, which will pop up throughout the year. Through free updates to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, new special events and seasonal guests will be introduced.
amiibo Support: Animal Crossing: New Horizons supports amiibo figures and amiibo cards from the Animal Crossing series. You can also invite these familiar faces to Photopia, an island that exists in the game, where you can place models in creative photo shoots.
Twitter Takeover: Keep an eye out for social media savvy Tom Nook, who is rumored to take over the @AnimalCrossing Twitter account right after today’s video presentation.

Nintendo WIP

Nintendo is a so-called game company, but a game company wouldn't overlook such trivial details that are a huge impact on not only their games but their players. It's almost like they want to make all of their 'fans' or just people who could care less about them themselves and only play certain games not want to come back for any sequels or prequels to their games. It's like they didn't even bother to think about this mess until a bunch of people finally open their mouths about it, but that is a hard task. Even if I get no one's attention I want to make some points that at least everyone in the community can agree on.
Animal Crossing
People have either been playing animal crossing for years or only joined with the recently made New Horizons along with me. But in the most recent games, there have been a few things that are too blaring to overlook. It's almost like Nintendo wants to watch players suffer, which if the players suffer, the company suffers greatly too.
So the aspect is to have a bunch of villagers on your island and do a bunch of DIY's that look like 5-minute-crafts came up with how to make things. But I digress, for the most part, it does make some logical sense. But when you need to craft over ten packs of fish bait, it gets more than annoying. Or need to craft maybe four or ten chairs or benches or something seasonal. to have a perfect seasonal island for a month before switching it up again. It would be more than lovely to have the option to pick more than one. I know if you mash A a bunch it goes faster but that doesn't exactly make too much of a difference if you're making a bunch of the same item. Not only that but if you're buying maybe 10+ nook miles tickets, let's say you have 40,000 Nook Points, You can get twenty whole NMT, but pressing A and waiting, doing that twenty or more times depending on how many points you have? It's unbearable and not even finding the villager you want after hopping island to island and waiting hours and mashing A for the amount you want or need.
It shouldn't be hard to program in a counter. You make updates for all the wrong things, I feel.
Like the update to Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, needing a certain camera lens to play a game that actually doesn't require a camera lens like that? Nintendo had an update in November of last year where they cut more than half of their player base. Their phone needed a gyroscope camera, not even phones bought last year could run the game, apparently. I was one of the players affected. I spend actual money on that game. For what? Cosmetics I can't even see anymore? Can't even use? After a month of nothing I had to uninstall, I was told that I should wait but I just didn't have the storage anymore. Sadly. I went back to see the reviews, most people left even if they could still play it because they couldn't play with their friends or couldn't play period.
I want to point out Pokemon Go!
Pokemon Go uses a camera feature for their 3D Pokemon models, which is amazing! But why does that work and yet Pocket camp doesn't? Well, technically Nintendo doesn't own Pokemon Go, Niantic does. Niantic uses different software than Nintendo itself, that and they're two different apps, they were made very differently. But then why does the camera have to be a gyroscope for Pocket Camp and not Pokemon Go? Pokemon GO uses it's AR feature more than Pocket camp! This is true, but the camera feature isn't even needed with Pokemon Go either, it's optional. So then why is Pocket Camp different? Well, Google told app developers that all apps needed to be 64bit by next year. But what does 64bit have to do with a camera lens? The gyroscope lens is implemented in all 64bit phones, that's the difference. Pokemon Go might update soon too but for now, people with a 32bit phone can play it and use its AR features. But I don't know why Nintendo would conform to Google's rules, as Nintendo is its own company and if it's still getting money... Google takes a percentage of money from players as tax for the service, so both Nintendo and Google are taking a hit. I really don't get their thought process here, people are canceling their subscriptions and spending less on their games, people on Reddit and in Google reviews are both saying the same thing.
Oh, but this is where I talk about Pokemon Go now.
Pokemon Go
Pokemon Go is an amazing game that Nintendo can't touch. Until they wormed their way in with Pokemon Go Eevee/Pikachu. Soon you'll be able to transfer Pokemon from go onto your switch games! But... they can't return back to your phone. Here's the thing I want to do, if I have a two-star Pokemon in Pokemon Go and transfer it to make it a three-star with vitamins then I should be able to then send it back into Pokemon Go and dominate. But that's the thing. I can't. We don't even know if they way to make it go two ways or if it'll forever be a one-way transfer only.
I love how Niantic added Jessy and James even though Jessy as a 3d model looks... strange. I wonder if they'll add Butch and Cassidy, since they were also semi-part of the lore, they mainly just competed with Jessy and James. But this is just a thought I wanted out there. I want more diversity, honestly. But it would take a long time to implement, but I think it would be cute to see how it is implemented. It could be an event type deal and I'd still be happy just to even see them.
I want to congratulate them for finally putting in Kalos starters! I've been wanting a FenFen (Fennekin.)
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers
Okay, so I've played Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time and Darkness, and let me tell you the anime for it was amazing too. I wanted more. There was a 3Ds version, hated it. Circles... I gave up and restarted twice and haven't touched it for so long since it just.. wasn't as good as the original. I've been meaning to play Sky but one thing at a time. There has been a lot of people talking about the starters, and boy oh boy I'm on the bandwagon late. I was curious about the personality quiz but seeing everyone say want starter is best with what partner and seeing how everyone said 'Don't be Totodile and Mudkip!' or 'Don't be Eevee and Skitty!' it just made me confused since you... technically couldn't have two of the same type of starters. What in the heck were those people thinking? But that isn't entirely a point. The point is starters. In the switch version of Mystery Dungeon, there are some things I just cannot say. The starter selection of awful. What happened to the Unova starters? You added Cubone but not Riolu? Where did you put my baby shinx?
The starters were pretty meh, they could have added more in my opinion. The screen surely could handle it. Also, the animations for the starters weren't even special or fantastic so it wouldn't have been that hard. I hate the walking animation for Eevee. I picture for Mudkip and Skitty it's not much better.
I've played it for three days and was so disappointed. First off, my partner, an AI? I had to literally kill him for my starter could get back to the same level. Thanks, blast seeds. But if I am being honest in found it to be so funny. Not only that but in said Dungeons, on any floor the boss could just be there and without warning. You could have explored the entire floor and it just appears randomly, or might not even be there. Hate that.
Also, there are no party rooms. I miss the party rooms. The party rooms are rooms that randomly fill up with Pokemon either if you hit a tile for the party room, somehow get the room by being dropped there with or without your partner (and co), or if you enter it from a path. I barely ever get past them but it would be a good experience. Also, you can only have yourself, your partner, and whatever one Pokemon you want with you. In previous games, you could have two addons. What happened to that?
Not to mention that in the story, you suddenly are exiled and after beating two birbs you then fight, Ninetails covers for you and says it isn't you, and then everything is suddenly.. just okay? All fine and dandy? So many people wanted to literally kill you over a rumor. If you died once you would lose 5,000 P and items. Um, excuse you. At the end of the journey, I gathered a little over 5,000 P because I'm a money-hungry person who wants to open all of the camps. But again, I know we'd have to go and find Ninetails and figure out the story but that.. wasn't the way to do it. You get past maybe six dungeons and are hit with that suddenly. I would get it if it was mid-game and they suddenly found out the secret and everyone was like 'you were so nice, what happened?' 'Why was it you?' 'You lied to all of us' and it broke my heart, that just upset me. None of them even let the starter explain, and even if they did the option was literally only dots. Also, why was my partner so supportive? They're just so baby and it's killing me. That's just my take on what they could have improved on.
If you want to add on, add your own, or say anything, feel free below or to message me so we can talk about this more. Thanks for the read, lets hope this gets covered on some youtube channel for 'controversy' or just to be agreed on.
