i could make a lot of good gundam video essays but i think the title of "cold steel and what the federation represents" with an image of something from unicorn and covering the federations themes, actions, and mobile suit designs during unicorn. since they are based heavily on the us government during from the end of cca through about the middle of hathaways flash, its also when mobile suits are their coldest, muted colors, blocky shapes, real world modern military design elements, not just the garage kit-ww2 guerilla designs of zeon and the colorful designs of the federation in the past. just efficient and sharp edged modern looking equipment. all though the titans during the gryps conflict donned a colorful design scheme (mostly due to obvious irl anime toy reasons) (par from the byarlant) side stories like AOZ give things a lot more muted colors, dull grays and blacks and light purples, only lines of yellow to represent that the weapon (ms) is a prototype, even the standard titans uniforms are darker in motif. really what the federation looks like at their most fascist state, at least thats what i think. and connecting that, things like the anksha, silver bullet and ReZEL, anksha comes from the titans heritage, silver bullet comes from neo zeon tech, along with the New Desides connotations that it carries. ReZEL comes from the wake of chars counterattack and the methuss. not to mention how we first see it slaughter a classroom of civilians just to further the governments goal of finding laplaces box. and even then they just want to find it to keep the status quo

Today’s review: HGUC Anksha

This mobile suit is a Jegan variant based heavily on the design of the Asshimar from the Gryps conflict, but with modifications to include standard long range beam guns, shields, beam sabers and a much better flight system. The unit is even capable of carrying another MS into battle, acting as a makeshift Base Jabber. But how does the kit compare?

I’ll start with this: screw the stickers. Seriously, my biggest gripe with this kit is the sheer number of stickers (46) and NONE of them hold in place properly. I’ve had to remove this from my display at least a dozen times now already just to replace them. Safe to say, it will be painted soon.

But, that aside, this kit is tremendous fun. The colours really pop on this MS and it’s a very tall and imposing figure amongst the rest of your Feddies.

Its articulation is actually on par with the rest of the HGUC kits of the time, being somewhat similar to the likes of the Rozen Zulu and Geara Zulu’s in its flexibility.

Its weapons and accessories are great, too. It includes multiple Action Base adaptors, extra hands, beam sabers, the shield/beam rifle combo’s and it also has handles and a prop to hold other MS on its back in Waverider mode.

I give the Anksha 8/10 - a great kit from Gundam Unicorn that needs just some TLC with a few paints to make perfect.

Essentially my bones are pulling apart after a real nasty accident.

I've had my Anksha for over a week, and pulled it out of the box like 5 different times... but for some reason I haven't been able to get myself to put it together.... sorry little Gunpla, bare with me will ya?

In Advance of Zeta: The Flag of the Titans, un reparto dell'AEUG composto anche da alcuni reduci del principato di Zeon, riescono ad entrare in possesso di alcuni modelli di NRX-044 Asshimar dei Titans. Per segnalare l'appartenenza di queste unità catturate all'AEUG ed evitare quindi il fuoco amico da parte di altre unità, viene deciso di pitturare questi modelli del tipico verde dei Nemo, che già avevano a disposizione. In seguito i vari Asshimar che rientrarono in possesso federale vennero pitturati di verde come si vede bene bene in questa carta da gioco. Questo fece si che il verde diventasse il colore standard di questi particolari MS a disco, tanto da essere adottata anche in seguito per i loro successori, i RAS-96 Anksha!
