Pawn had just finished general checks, making sure his security systems were all up to date. Being out of his base for as long as he had been made him nervous when it came to nearby threats, especially when considering the recent activity outside of the CFC.

He was just about wrapped up with what he was doing, ready to leave and set the base back into hibernation mode before he saw a child curled up on the floor.

Narrowing his eye, he walked forward, hand resting on the gun on his hip. Sure, it wasn't the best course of action to shoot a child, but he doubted this was real. Gently, he pushed her with his foot, trying to observe the reaction.

does anyone else ever think about how literature used to be published in periodicals and volumes, and readers would have to wait week by week, month by month etc. for the next installment of whichever story they were enjoying

and then think about how we have essentially modernized the concept of serialization and completely recycled it by updating our own little works of fiction for our audiences in installments

like. we're just all a bunch of modern-day dickenses

I hate when people tell me they "love me more than source me". You're literally talking about me. Do you think I want to hear that you hate who I am at my core? I never said I hate my source self. I love him. I just didn't do everything he did, and get tired of how much fandom hate there is surrounding him / fans of him. But that's me and I don't hate myself. It's a backhanded compliment and it hurts most hearing it from friends. Can I not see hate for myself at least in my own space where I block all relevant tags? Damn.
