Days ago with a drabble, I got the chance to dive into Cassifer/Sam and that touch of abuse, which is a theme I've wanted to tackle in fanfics, delve into it more seriously, in more words than just a drabble.

I enjoy exploring that dynamic because, in my opinion, it was poorly addressed in the series. And far from the ship dynamic, I hate see them as a couple. The dynamic of abuse, of captor/victim, is intriguing, implicit in many moments of the series, but it's always disappointing that it wasn't given the seriousness it deserved.

Besides I love Sastiel, the theme with Cassifer and The relationship wirh Cas post-possesione seems so full of potential for anguish. Are you telling me that Sam didn't have any issues, nightmares, or fear that his tormentor was living with him in the only place he felt safe? And that his own brother and God were okay with that?

I rewatched a little from "The Vessel" and just look at Sam's face. And the way Lucifer winks at him and touches him? Boy

There are things like abuse and sexual harassment that Lucifer implies in many dialogues, but that's another topic.

If I could say that I hate any ship, Samifer is one of them. I could consider it a NOTP. However, it's not that serious to me to demand that those who like it block me from that content, and not to take edits, drawings, or shipping so seriously. Fiction at the end of the day

I am 20+, and this is my Supernatural blog (main). I've only been on SPN Instagram and the SPN subreddit before, but I heard Tumblr is a better space for fandoms. I lurked for a few weeks and now I have a blog. I'm not a native English speaker by the way.

I love Lucifer (obviously) and my main ships are Samifer and SamLuMichean (Sam/Lucifer/Michael/Dean). Anyone can follow as long as you're not anti-LGBTQ+, racist, ableist, etc. Also, don't follow if you're a narrow-minded fandom puritan, because I like when fiction is dark and unsettling.

i hate the fact that i am fascinated with the dynamic between sam and lucifer in supernatural because i often have to explain to people that i do not ship them, i just think its interesting to analyse lucifer's obsession and sam's fear and all the history behind

I just don’t know how to explain to entire fandoms that shipping canonically abusive people with people they’ve abused isn’t good?

I’m not trying to ship police or anything but there’s still young impressionable minds on here and entire TV show/movie/book/etc fandom tags absolutely FILLED with abusive ships being advertised as true love

Like did character A beat character B bloody and unconscious? They still ship it

Did character C repeatedly almost kill and belittle character D? They still ship it

I know there’s fiction and reality and coping mechanisms and redemption etcetera but people will go to the lengths of rationalizing and validating horribly abusive behaviors for the sake of fictional ships with (usually) conventionally attractive characters and it’s just like..... it’s 2021. I’ve been on this site for at least ten years (holy shit right?) and it keeps getting worse like? How about some healthy, progressive ships for the future?

Why’s it always the same old bunk ass few truly irredeemable characters getting shipped with their victims?
