So lemme get this straight… Kara/Lena on SGCW = baited, open ended, Lena Luthor a hero Kara/Lena in DC CW comics = baited, open ended, Lena Luthor a hero Kara/Lena in future DC comics/movies = TBD, anything could happen

Meanwhile...

Kara/Mon-El on SGCW = ended forever Legion of Super-Heroes animated movie = Mon-El a villain, no romance

New DC Comics = Mon-El related to Kara, no romance Between all this + major DC artists and writers proving to be pro-Kara/Lena, I’d say “Supercorp” could still happen at some point in really any media, meanwhile Mon-El is a character that may never recover from the awful SGCW version and “Karamel” is dead forever in all versions so far. 

Interesting, and ironic.

P.S. Happy for KaraDox fans in the meantime, since the LOSH animated film apparently leans into that. I’ve never had any issues with that duo, though obviously I still think Supercorp is 100% the future as far as Kara’s romantic destiny if they want her to have an iconic, Clois or BatCat type of a lasting legacy that stands the test of time, as far as love interests are concerned.

Maybe Hindsight is something, but I'm watching Season 2 of Supergirl again, and I agree there were fundamental flaws in the basic construction of how they chose to use Mon-el (and I still don't ship Karamel), but... what he actually does? The way the story uses Kara and Mon-el? Their relationship? It's really good, and it's as much, or even more about showcasing Kara, and her strengths and depths and how she changes Mon-el, as it is about Mon-el and his development.

There was so much screeching about Mon-el back when season 2 was airing, and I always knew it was silly, but I forgot just how silly it was.

it's such a concerningly common pattern for people to ship a white woman and her abuser when a kind, gentle, and good black male character is right there, has a healthy and supportive relationship with the white woman, and the dynamic has more chemistry (but y’all have the nerve to call the white woman and black man a brotp). today's youth are truly lost

Anyone happen to remember a fic that the jist was Lena was a mafia/crime boss type and went into a bar that Kara worked at (believe Lena owned it) and they started getting closer, I believe Mon ew was in it as a deadbeat boyfriend type. I have looked through pages and pages of fics for this but no success.

The show ended like a year and a half ago and media outlets are STILL talking about the queerbaiting of Kara/Lena (Supercorp) on The CW’s Supergirl, saying Lena Luthor shoulda been a lesbian and Kara’s endgame, and calling out Mon-El as a misogynist and Kara/Mon-El as “cringe”. 💀

i'm rewatching Supergirl and I'm on S3 but I'm sorry but I still can't see the romantic chemistry between supercorp lol I love their friendship but I can't understand the people that ship them romantically lol I'm friends with some and you ship what you ship and I respect they ship them I just can't see it tbh lol also I still ship karamel like a boss THEIR CHEMISTRY IS INSANE!!!! I'll always be bitter over them not ending up together ugh but at least melwood are together irl that helps lol I'll be crying when I finish S3 though lol

just accidentally revealed i read fanfiction to my whole family

complained about the volume of supercorp fics in the karamel tag on ao3 and when my mom overheard and asked what i said, i blurted out, i can't find fics for my ship bc there's so many for the one i hate, and then stopped and had a huge, oh fuck, moment while they both nervously chuckled
