i 100% agree. once y’all realize that a man who sleeps around just simply doesn’t respect women or see them as human enough to get to know them but rather use them for their own pleasure then that says everything about how these footballers would treat you and look at women. you should look into studies done by princeton psychologists, they literally showed men women wearing revealing clothing and the part of their brain that identifies OBJECTS lit up 😳 i understand status is a big thing (besides good looks), but us women get attached unless we’ve engraved in our minds that it’s nothing more than a hook up (even then it doesn’t work sometimes). stop idealizing them, they’re men after all
Jose mourinho gets proven right everyday when he said dont idolize footballers they are all trash. These men are not always good people and we really should not put them on a pedestal.

Favorite Random Lestat facts
I have insomnia and vampires on the brain, so here are some of my favorite random Lestat facts, in no particular order:
He stole decorating ideas for his chateau from Armand’s Trinity Gate
His fingernails were a little too long when he died, so he files them, though they regrow every night
He liked to spend hours polishing his own coffin as a meditative exercise
As a human, he never liked to masturbate, he’d just go out and find someone to have sex with
When he’s not with Louis, he always thinks Louis can’t possibly be as attractive as he’s remembering him, but then when he sees Louis again, he’s like, “Nope, he really is that hot”
Despite his vanity, he thinks he’s one of the most conventional and boring looking vampires you’ll ever see, and ordinary and uninteresting compared to the cooler vampires
He thinks his best feature is his expression
When he was human, he never had much beard and didn’t have to shave often
He’ll always mention when people are taller than him, so we know anyone whose height isn’t given must be less than six feet
He knows how to tap dance
The other vampires think of him as a poet
Most dogs instinctually hate him, and being rejected by a dog makes him sad every time
Except for with Akasha, he never killed a human that wasn’t a meal
Even as a baby vampire, he had the power to toss Louis across the room with a flick of his wrist, but would still let Louis hold him back and whale on him just to get his rage out
He absolutely adored Claudia and thought of her as his mini-me
In the decade he lived with Antoine (1860-1871), he never wanted to go out in public because he was ashamed of his burn scars
He likes to take naps
He’s a voracious reader
He only wears black socks
He’s a serial walker, not even going anywhere, just walks for hours
He performed a rock concert in a full Bela Lugosi Dracula costume and never took off his suit or cape even though he was sweating buckets. That’s commitment to the bit.
Even though he’s good at it, flying always frightens him on an existential level and fills him with despair
Despite his love of fine clothes, he’ll wear the same outfit for weeks or months until it becomes rags
His list of things that make existence worth it: the blazing warmth of fires and caresses, kisses and arguments, love and longing and blood (emphasis on the longing)
His love language is gift giving (but not receiving)
He never shows any skin in public other than his face (and soooometimes hands)
He doesn’t like how white his hair turned after repeated burnings, and wishes it was more yellow
He gets really angry at the thought of Louis being embarrassed or insulted by others
He is incapable of expressing big feelings out loud, so he writes them all down instead
He wants everyone to remember how scary he really is
He doesn’t like blood with alcohol in it because it makes him dizzy
His mom came up with his name by combining the first letters of his 6 older brothers' names, and it means absolutely nothing

Daryl Dixon Rewatch S1E03 - Paris Sera Toujours Paris
this ep wasn't as good as the first 2, but we got to meet Fallou and Antoine, so they made up for what felt like another ep of Daryl absolutely done with everything while relentlessly looking for a radio or a boat.
i feel like Carol's "presence" has been a constant on this show, but in this ep more than ever. her name is not mentioned, but there's at least a couple of pieces of dialogue alluring to her existence, her importance in Daryl's life, and how she is the driving force behind Daryl's urgency to get back home. more after the jump....
so Nicotero got his walker orchestra, which was cool, but def not one of the reasons i watch the show. as Daryl said this was just a stupid detour and now we gonna start doing things his way!
it bothers me how these two warrior nuns are completely useless and helpless when they have to deal with a couple of walkers. in each case, Daryl had to "save" both Sylvie and Isabelle while they were stuck dumb looking at walkers dangerously approaching them. are they warriors/survivors or what?? writers do better!
Laurent spewing some philosophical bullshit about fortitude was top TWD gimmick - kids wise beyond their years are annoying to me! but if you know me, you know i legit dislike most kids written in apocalyptic shows. adding insult to injury, Laurent be like "Not to fret, Monsieur Daryl. You will not die in Paris." *eyeroll* legit. main character plot armor. thanks, captain obvious!
in the "make everything about Carol" segment, we got "La mort et le bucheron:" i think an analogy could be made about hope, and how when we are so close to losing it all is when we hang on tightly to something and finally feel the urge to live, but to do that we need to learn how to share our burden. and i think that applies to both Carol and Daryl, if they are to move on, evolve, take the next step, they must be willing to share, to talk openly, and share their burdens with each other- let the other carry a bit of their weight.
it will never not be hilarious to me how Fallou continuously ignores Daryl's request for a radio, until he introduces him to Antoine, the pigeon guy, and their only form of communication. Daryl is SOOOO done with y'alll.
most interesting lines in the whole ep are about pigeons, heck yas! "Maybe he has a girlfriend... yes? We all have a person who waits... who waits for us somewhere." Daryl's face screamed CAROL and her name has never even have been mentioned on this show YET!!!!!
Daryl and Isa have a moment when she says they are the same, "broken until the world ended." YEAH, NAHHH. not the same! sorry girl, but your bohemian lifestyle chosen by yourself got nothing to do with how Daryl was forced to grow up and survive even before the zpoc.
omg Daryl's idiot longing face looking at the water lilies, saying it reminds him of home... and all i can think about is when Daryl took Carol to watch those Cherokee roses blooming as an apology back in s2 of the original show. that's art!!!!!!
and once again, i am not disappointed Daryl is a true man of honor, and wouldn't let Isa and Laurent suffer the consequences for a shot at getting a boat to return home. it's a very Daryl thing to do, and Isa called him out on it.
AND FINALLY she tells us something we did not know.... Daryl made a promise to whom is not revealed to get back home, and that's all he cares about. he doesn't deny it!! HE CANNOT
Daryl is just so ready to leave AGAIN!!! but not without first telling Isa she's good at making things up (ouch!!), but she needs to tell Laurent the truth.
then Daryl becomes the most reasonable person ever to have ever existed. he says, "maybe he's just a regular kid, a regular kid that got lucky and lived. maybe that's your miracle." 👏👏👏 - that's Daryl being the most Daryl since ever, calling out the bullshit, and keeping shit real. i love this show for bringing him back!
Laurent runs, Codron arrives... "the reasons are everywhere." once again, right when Daryl was leaving again, something happens that stops him from doing so. the universe works in mysterious ways indeed cause what he doesn't know is that he needs to stay around so Carol can find him, and she's on her way there already!
See y'all next week for ep 4!!!
42 days left until the premiere of THE BOOK OF CAROL!!!!!

Visiting Mobotropolis (JULIE-SU THE TENREC)
Masterpost
NOTE: Calix is Julie-Su's deadname. This takes place before she transitions, or has even considered that she's trans.
Calix had seen Robotropolis many times; it had served as the Doctor’s headquarters for years, which meant he was plenty familiar with footage of the sprawling concrete maze of towering buildings that buckled under their own weight, gray next to gray next to gray. In the footage, it was populated by sleek Combots, marching in perfect sync over the cracked and winding roads.
Now, it was empty, save for a smattering of Mobian figures that Calix assumed to be the Knothole Freedom Fighters. The footage he was familiar with did not nearly communicate the scale of the buildings, the claustrophobia of the rubble pressing in, and Great Walkers, the smoke. It hung in the air like a cloud, making his mouth sour.
As the little Legion ship skated into view of the streets, a chipmunk excitedly waved them down. After a nod of confirmation from Knuckles, Calix landed them next to who he now recognized as Sally Acorn, the princess of the Acorn Kingdom. Knuckles hopped from the ship to greet her, and Calix trailed behind him.
“Knuckles! I’m glad you could make it!” She grinned and gave Knuckles a friendly pat on his arm. Noticing Calix, she raised an eyebrow quizzically. “And who’s this?”
“This is Calix,” Knuckles explained. “We met not long ago. He was born into the Dark Legion, which is… well, I guess I’ve got a lot to talk about with you, Sal. It’s been time. Point is, he defected to join me and the Chaotix. Got off a bit on the wrong foot,” he continued, elbowing Calix in the ribs. He elbowed Knuckles back. “But we’re alright now.”
“That’s great! I’m really glad you’ve decided to join us in the fight against Robotnik, Calix. The war is long, but every person makes a difference.” Sally sounded like a pamphlet. “Well, Knuckles, there was actually something I’ve been meaning to speak about with you as well. Calix, why don’t you join Bunnie, Rotor, and Antoine? They’re going around to take stock of the state of the city so we can decide which parts need to be focused on first in the rebuilding process.”
Calix followed Sally’s hand to where Bunnie, Rotor, and Antoine stood. Bunnie, a rabbit with cybernetics not unlike his own, smiled cheerfully and waved. Antoine, a nervous looking coyote, waved as well, but his ears were pricked at attention and he kept his other hand on the hilt of his sword. Rotor, a walrus, gave him a one-fingered salute. “Sure, sounds good,” he replied, and walked to join the other three as Sally and Knuckles went in the other direction.
“So, I’m not sure how much you know about what the city originally looked like, but this area here used to be the town square,” Rotor explained as they started picking their way over the blown apart streets. “If you look just that way, you can see… well, you can see what used to be the Castle of Acorn. It… didn’t used to look like that, as I’m sure you can imagine.”
The building he gestured to did look like it might’ve been a castle, once, a long time ago, but had since been overtaken by industrial metal and heaving chimneys that Calix imagined were pumping fumes into the air not three days before. The windows on the central tower were red; they reminded him of spider eyes.
“What is the Dark Legion, anyhow?” Antoine leaned towards Calix as he asked it, like he was about to catch him in a lie before Calix had even opened his mouth.
“A branch of the Doctor’s organization. We – they – help with production, mostly,” He responded plainly. “There’s a military aspect of it, too, but the Doctor rarely sends us out. Prefers to have bots do his work. We still train to hell though.”
Antoine’s hand was tightening on his sword the more he spoke. “So you are working for the Eggman, non? Am I not mishearing?”
“Was.” Calix let a hint of a snarl sneak into his voice, and something in his chest twinged with glee when Antoine flinched. “You heard Knuckles. I’m with the Chaotix now.”
Rotor nudged Antione with a large hand. “And any friend of Knuckles is a friend of ours.”
Rotor continued the tour, and Antoine remained mostly quiet, jotting things down on a clipboard Rotor had handed him, probably to keep him occupied from ragging on Calix.
On his other side, Calix could feel Bunnie’s gaze on him; it wasn’t confrontational or wary like Antoine, but something softer. Calix glanced back at Bunnie for a moment. “What,” he said, perhaps more rudely than he’d meant. Bunnie flushed a little, then smiled.
“Oh, I’m sorry for starin’, Sugar. I was just wonderin’... well you don’t gotta share nothin’ you don’t wanna share, but…” Her eyes trained across the cybernetics in Calix’s quills, his robotic arm. Although Bunnie’s two legs and one arm was further than most of the Legion would go, everyone there had some cybernetics, so Calix had never been subjected to anything like this. Bunnie’s gaze wasn’t critical, but rather a mix between apologetic and curious. Calix stood taller.
Bunnie continued. “I couldn’t help but notice that you’re also partially roboticized.” Bunnie held out her robotic arm as she spoke, running her organic hand over the metal. “I don’t find a lotta folks like me, an’ I’m bettin’ you don’t either.” She took Calix’s organic hand in her roboticized one. “Us roboticized folk gotta stick together, is all. If you ever need to talk with someone, I’m happy to be here.”
Calix’s brow furrowed, and he extracted his hand. “I like my cybernetics, actually. I got to choose where I wanted them. Just 'cause you’re scared of a little improvement doesn’t mean we all have to be.”
Bunnie’s fur bristled. She curled her now-empty hand into a fist and brought it back to her side. Her muzzle wrinkled as she replied scathingly, “Oh. I see. Well, my apologies if being forcibly roboticized makes me a little unkind to the practice, Mister Dark Legionnaire.”
Calix felt a growl rising in his throat. “I told you I –” The sharp intake of breath that preceded his retort was not his wisest move; the thick smoke of reclaimed Mobotropolis clouded in his lungs, and he broke into a coughing fit. Bunnie leaned back, hands on her wide hips.
“Huh. Not used to the air, Sugar? Figures, I’m sure Eggman keeps things real clean back at home for his little worker bees.”
Calix was just pulling himself together for a reply when Rotor piped up behind him, sounding a little relieved. “Oh hey! There’s Knuckles!” He waved broadly, and Calix turned to see Knuckles jogging up to meet them.
“Yo. Calix, I’ve been gone for like, 15 minutes and you already managed to start a fight with somebody?”
Bunnie scoffed. “Great friend you brought, Knuckles. Real darlin’.” Calix rolled his eyes.
Knuckles pinched the bridge of his snout. “Okay. Great. Glad everyone’s getting along. We’re good to head out and regroup with the rest of the Chaotix.” He looked between Bunnie, Antoine, and Rotor, looking slightly apologetic. “Good seeing you guys. Thanks for, uh, showing him the sights.”
“Sure. Nice meeting you, Calix,” Rotor agreed. Bunnie and Antoine didn’t follow suit, just watched Knuckles and Calix walk back to the square and the “stolen” Legion ship.
As Calix steered the ship out of the dark cloud that perpetually hung over Mobotropolis, he took in a deep breath. He didn’t live near the factory sectors; he was born into a military family, so he was trained for war, not for construction or invention. The air in his sector was clean enough; he wondered what it was like near the factories. Was it like this, the wasteland of Mobotropolis, unlivable and unbreathable?
“What happened over there?”
Calix made a tch sound through his teeth. “Don’t ask me. Ask her. What’s she so scared of her cybernetics for? Didn’t you say she can like, fly and shoot cannons now?”
Knuckles let out a breath through his nose. “I mean sure, but having it forced onto you isn’t the same as wanting it. You gotta think how the guys here see tech. It’s hard for them to look on the bright side of it when it’s been terrorizing them their whole lives.”
Calix didn’t reply, and they continued to fly in silence as he turned what Knuckles said over in his mind.

Daryl Dixon Rewatch S1E04 - La Dame de Fer
without a doubt the weakest ep of the season, it stars with Daryl having some sort of premonition dream, in which he sees Laurent surrounded by walkers passing right by him without even noticing he's there. all this supporting my theory the Nest people want to turn the kid into a walker so he can rise again as the new Messiah.
(exactly how i feel after the work week i just had!)
anyways more thoughts and ramblings after the jump...
Daryl strolling through Paris, listening to music, seeing old couple sharing precious time together while people watching through windows gives me the frenchest vibes ever. unfortunately, he cannot read a map to save his life.
i don't hate Genet, and i can even understand her pragmatism. i feel this will turn into a religion vs. science debate, in which both sides want to use to boy to "cure" humanity.
i will never ever forgive this show for killing Antoine the pigeon dude, who was legit one of the most likable characters in all of twdu with only a couple of mins of screentime. his dying wish was to free his pigeons. "The birds. Free. Let them free. The pigeons." - here we go, if he was the one making an analogy between Caryl and the pigeons always returning home to the one who waits for them in the last ep, this also seems an omen for caryl being set free of their responsibilities, trauma and guilt so they can finally fly freely together. and if so, then it's kinda poetic.
Daryl is usually a fighter not a hugger, but we need to care about his bonds with this random people, so Isa hugs him. how fun would it be if you were not left to wonder what will happen next. Daryl cares about people, it's just who he is. and guess what? he already knows where Laurent run off to.
"Paris kinda sucks." Daryl, YOU'RE GODDAMN RIGHT! but it makes up for it in beautiful cinematography.
oh look, now Isa knows how to kill walkers! poorly, but at least she ain't just acting like a deer in headlights.
the dude they take hostage is slut shaming the heck out of Isa, and Daryl be like *shrug* je ne comprends pas, bitch, but let me tell you a story about little Jimmy being forced to kill his piglet one day. the most random Christmas tale ever told, but despite Daryl saying he made up the whole story, i can't help but think it's his story. and that is heartbreaking!
ironically, Daryl who was wholly against torturing a whisperer back in s10, is now full on let's fuck this guy up for info right in front of a nun! of course, i can't help but think it makes total sense cause at the time, he was really just trying to protect Carol from that kind of violence when she was already on edge.
Isa needs to tell Daryl something, he be like NAH, i'm busy, i got a kid, your kid, to save, please schedule an appointment.
Sylvie is finding love for the first time ever, and she's wondering if Isa is harboring any romantic feelings for Daryl. he's the one, the messenger to deliver Laurent, so he is a means to an end. she already loved and lost a lot before the apocalypse. which probably means she is totally getting the feels for Daryl, she just doesn't know he's taken already. just wait till you meet his formidable wife!
Daryl learned some French already. he grunts "bon appétit," as he leaves piglet!dude to be eaten by walkers. SAVAGE!
Daryl fights Quinn, but let's him live cause he's Daryl - he wouldn't kill the kid's father right in front of him.
we have come full circle. Daryl returning a lost kid to his "mother" (*whisper yells* Sophia), and watches her make the ultimate sacrifice by going back to Quinn so she can give the kid a chance to leave the city. not before, she sorts of totally guilt trips him into taking Laurent to the nest. obviously, for some reason, Daryl is the only dude in the whole of France capable of taking the kid there. *rolls eyes loudly* remember, there's reasons everywhere. the universe keeps working to keep Daryl there, so Carol can find him (and together they will save Laurent - that's my theory!).
and it finally ends with Daryl looking at some Paris landmarks, and giving the most longing look at Lady Liberty. he is homesick!
see y'all next week for ep 5!!! it's gonna get interesting!
35 days left until the premiere of THE BOOK OF CAROL!!!!!
