Hello, thought I would introduce myself properly!

You can call me fee or effy, i am 27 and i am a chaotic multistan. I am also a multifandom kinda person so you could perchance see some random things pop up from me here and there.

I am a Psychology Graduate that loves Language, in all forms, as well as learning new ones. I had a dream of becoming a polyglot actually!

Kpop is my main love so I will mainly be posting about that ofc♡ I stan BTS, Stray Kids, EXO, Monsta X, NCT (when it was 23 members cause i havent caught up with any new content lately), Got7, The Rose, Day6, Mamamoo, Twice, Red Velvet, I also bias Seonghwa, Wooyoung and San from Ateez but i am not actively keeping up with releases. My #1 post of 2022

Life's been really shit lately. Along with the usual 'RONA' complications, i just cant seem to catch a break. Thought i'd met the loveliest guy just for him to ghost me so suddenly that i felt whiplash... i finally graduate from university but its online so its just not the same as a 'real' in person ceremony. I'm tired and majorly in a mental health rut obviously. I havent seen my friends in two years and hardly have the energy to visit them anyway. I need this rant on here because I dont have anyone else to talk to. The tumblr void helped me in the past so I hope it helps this time. Not that I want anyone to reply to this, just need to vent. Life sucks but I'll keep going. It cant stay shit forever, right?

7. do you write crossovers? if so, what's the craziest one you've written? i don't write fandom crossovers but i do like writing ridiculous au's, and i would say that the funniest jobs i've given any character was the clintbucky exterminator/locksmith story that never got finished lol (rip)

8. have you ever received hate on a fic? holy shit poor little 13yo kath used to get OBLITERATED for my characterizations lmfaoooo please know that my attempts at writing good characterizations now come from blood, sweat, and (literal) tears

anyway keep me humming, keep me going is now the second fic that has a title from beyonce's song 'blow' bc those lyrics have a chokehold on me when i write nsfw!

10. have you ever had a fic stolen? no but i've had specific passages from some really old stuff that was stolen and very obviously rewritten/paraphrased, which is. harder to prove lol

11. have you ever had a fic translated? nothing recent but a few of my old hp fics on ff.net were translated!

but omg the best time it ever happened was a year ago when i found out that not only had a 15yo fic of mine been translated (and credited!), it had also been converted into a beautiful pdf!!! complete with cover art and border art!!!! wasn't even aware it was done bc whoever did it had only done it within the last few years i think, but it was such a wild experience to find it i have the pdf saved on my laptop lol

12. have you ever co-written a fic before? i have not! i don't think i've ever had a dedicated beta either, which probably explains a lot lol

13. what's your all-time fave ship? ALTAIR/MALIK they're not even my first otp (which draco/ron and zukka still go strong, followed by clintbucky) but THEY are the ones that seize my heart like no other ship has done 🧡🧡

14. what's a fic you want to finish but don't think you ever will? the zukka ba sing se/blue spirit poetry fic 😔 which is unfortunate bc i'm still so excited to write it/there's a lot written of it, but chaptered fics are nerve-wracking lol

15. what are your writing strengths? idk if ppl necessarily like it, but i really like my writing style! sure it's obvious i write for fanfic vs anything publishable, but i enjoy that lol

also ppl tell me i'm really good at banter, characterizations, and immersing them in the story, which is wonderful bc i do work really hard on that!

16. what are your writing weaknesses? finding the right words. in general, it's so extremely hard for me in that i don't have much of a mental dictionary/thesaurus i guess. it can be upsetting at times, especially when i know there's a better word or way to phrase the line but just have to let it go. i am simply not one of those people who can come up with big words (or words that are like. normal ones to use when describing smth lol)

17. what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages on a fic? it can be a good touch to the fic! i don't have very strong feelings on it, i suppose

18. what was the first fandom you ever wrote for? atla, tho harry potter is the one that actually survived the period of fic deletion i once went through on ff.net lol

19. what is your favorite fic ever written? everyone is going to know the answer to this one, but hmlyd hands down my actual baby <333 after a 4yr long break from writing, i knocked out 3 fics but it was hmlyd that really got me excited! writing it was a BLAST, my entire heart went into it, and it's one of my fics that i actually do genuinely go back and read frequently bc it makes me so happy lmao

tbh if i hadn't written hmlyd, i probably would've stopped writing for the fandom after hands, knees, please, tangerine and gone back to lurking lmao

wickymicky’s Top Ten Kpop Songs of 2020

5: Weki Meki - Cool

At the start of this year, Weki Meki were already one of my favorite groups. My url has been wickymicky for a while, though I would have placed the group at like 4th or 5th if I listed my favorite groups in order. Yoojung has been my number one ult bias for a long time, but the group overall wasnt one of my absolute top ults initially. As it went on though, I really fleshed out my love for all members of Weki Meki during the year. Dazzle Dazzle and Oopsy were big moments for me, even though neither of those songs were what I hoped they would be. Don’t get me wrong, I love them, but not the same way that I love Picky Picky, Tiki Taka, La La La, IDLYG, etc. Once Oopsy came out, I thought it was pretty guaranteed that I wouldn’t have a Weki Meki song in my top 10, despite my appreciation for them as a group growing every day. By that point, they were absolutely one of my ults. Weki Meki are tied with Dreamcatcher for my favorite groups in kpop now. But… their 2020 releases just didn’t hit the way I wanted them to… until Cool

It’s funny, I had a feeling that it was gonna be good. I couldn’t explain it lol. I didn’t expect a third comeback, I thought they wouldn’t follow Oopsy up until sometime in 2021. But for some reason, when they announced it, I just had some gut feeling that it was gonna be different. Even before teasers started dropping. I was right, too. It’s very different. God it’s so good lol. I’m gonna be honest though, a large part of the reason it’s landing here in the top 5 is because of just how invested I am in Weki Meki lol. I guess we used the term “biases” for a reason, huh? I’m pretty biased lol. One of the most exciting things about this song is just that it gave me lots of opportunities to see Weki Meki shine.

For what it’s worth though, I do think this song is really high quality all on its own. It’s not just that I’m biased, because this song would be high on my list regardless. I love the production. I love the way that main low synth sounds, I love the way it kinda warps up and down as it plays... it’s a striking sound. The first part of the chorus is pretty monotone (the “Cool. jom deo tteugeopge.” part), and I wasn’t sure if that would begin to annoy me, but it hasn’t really. I like it. I think it’s fine because the second part of the chorus is different and has more singing, I think that helps the monotone part feel more like a cool addition to the song rather than a detractment. A lot of it feels really smartly written, imo. It’s not the most amazing and moving and powerful song ever recorded, but for a song called Cool about being cool... it definitely feels and sounds cool lol. Also, I think the members gave some of their best performances of their careers so far. Both in the song itself as well as on stage. They silenced anyone who would try to write them off as being “just Dodaeng” or “nugus”. Suyeon got a solo dance part and she pulled it off with overwhelming charisma. Lucy is establishing herself even more as the group’s other rapper, and her personality in her rap parts feels distinct from Yoojung. Rina, Elly, and Sei are also killing it and turning heads, I’ve seen a lot of appreciation for them all over. And of course, Dodaeng themselves aren’t slouching either. Doyeon’s presence in this song is amazing, she’s really making use of her talent for conveying that energy. Yoojung’s rap and dance skills are honed to the finest point they’ve ever been, she’s my ult for a reason. Love that little tomato.

Oh yeah, and there’s one other member I didn’t mention. Bro. Dude. What the fuck happened lol. Lua evolved this year. It’s like she just flipped a switch and decided “you know what? every comeback from this point onwards is gonna be my era” and she made it happen. It’s not just a haircut, it’s her entire energy. She’s overflowing with confidence. She’s always been talented, always been confident, always been zany and ridiculous and funny, but I’ve never seen her exude as much of it as she has during the Oopsy and Cool eras haha. Unprecedented levels. Her parts in Cool are the most iconic parts of the song, hands down. She steals every scene she’s in, and it’s hard to watch performances of the choreo without just watching her. Again, it’s not just her haircut, which was even shorter in this era than it was during Oopsy, I think, even the way she dances is different. It’s like she took off some limiters that were mentally preventing her from popping completely off while dancing, and now she’s free haha. She had moments of that in the past, but nothing like this. Even when she’s doing the same moves everyone else is, she does them with such style, in a way that’s very much her own. She really gives Yoojung a run for her money as the main dancer of the group, and the idea that theyre both co-main dancers has never been more true. Lua destroyed Cool, and I’m not sure what it would be like without her. You know what’s up.

Uh, anyway lol, yeah this song is great. I think Kick It and some of the others below it might be better songs at just the fundamental base level, but I enjoyed this song at a threshold that was pretty much unmatched this year. It’s ranking here at 5th place, but actually it’s the song I’ve listened to the second most this year. It came out in October, and in just three short months I listened to it more than I listened to any other song this year (except for one, lol). And the wildest part is that I don’t even think it’s in my top 3 Weki Meki title tracks haha. When I say I love this group, I mean it

Okay y’all, here’s my top kpop songs of 2020 list for this year (finally, good lord this year felt like an eternity). These are the 20 songs that I felt really made an impact on me this year and why 💕

Starting from last to first, here we go!

20. Dr. Bebe, Pentagon - this song deserved so much better tbh the music video was everything, their acting was excellent and the vocals were *chefs kiss* i also loved the dark, creepy vixx -reminiscent vibes

19. Back Door, Stray Kids - Ok like objectively i know that God’s Menu was like their piece de resistance this year, but Back Door was just so fun and had a great bass line and the choreo was SO good

18. Cry For Me, Twice - this literally JUST came out like two seconds ago but let me tell you cry for me has legit been stuck in my head from the SECOND i heard it just ask my sister she’s this close to killing me next time i sing the chorus

17. Red Sun, Dreamcatcher - Let’s be real, dreamcatcher’s entire studio album was perfect from start to finish, and red sun was a standout among that perfection for me like from the magical mystical instrumental to dami’s absolutely earth-shattering rap line, just absolute gold my dude

16. Kick It, NCT 127 - This was a very polarizing song for a lot of people i feel, but for me the concept was literally executed to perfection. It had so much potential to be cheesy and gimmicky, but it totally wasn’t and i think it’s because nct 127 committed SO wholeheartedly to the concept

15. So Bad, StayC - THIS song. I actually already had my list all written out when i discovered so bad by stayc and i literally had to reconsider my ENTIRE existence. They are so so good with such a talented production team backing them and they’ve literally just debuted.

14. Dun Dun, Everglow - A lot of people really hated this song, and don’t get me wrong i had my own issues with the line and screen time distribution for sure, but you can’t deny it’s a total banger

13. Nonstop, Oh My Girl - This is the kind of song that i never really expected to fall in love with. It’s bubbly and cute and quite like youthful, but oh my girl honestly pull that concept off so well and they had me immediately hypnotized

12. Be In Love, Itzy - 2020 was the year of bailey eating her own words aka the year of me falling in love with itzy. when itzy debuted i seriously thought if they stuck with their concept i probably wouldn’t ever be into their music but lmao. they showed me. anyway this b side is seriously underrated and it really shows the girls vocal talents off, especially lia and yuna

11. Love Killa, Monsta X - hyungwon. that’s it that’s the post . . . jk but for real, visuals popped off. love killa was exactly what i’ve been wanting from mx for the past year or so. they hit the nail right on the head with the this one.

10. Secret Story of the Swan, izone - my relationship with izone is basically like my relationship with itzy part 2. I always appreciated them for their talents and having a very recognizeable sound but i could never get into their music. then SSOTS happened, and to be honest it STILL gets stuck in my head at random times

9. Phobia, Stray Kids - i LOVE this b side. for a while i thought it might replace Voices as my favourite skz track, but it just didn’t have the longevity that voices does. that said, it’s still such a good song with an important message did i mention that i love stray kids

8. La Di Da, Everglow - i have said it before and i’ll say it again: no one is doing it like everglow. this song came so out of the blue and blindsided so many people with how unexpectedly different it was, all while being a certified banger. the line distribution is aMAZING, you get to hear each member’s unique flavor, the straight 80’s vibe is immaculate, the styling is God-tier, just . . . everything. i LOVE this comeback

7. Eternally, TXT - if you know me, you know i love a good beat switch-up (i mean, my ult group is stray kids for crying out loud) and ladies. this song is the switch up to end all switch ups. txt somehow managed to combine two completely different tracks, each of which would have been A+ songs all on their own, and somehow make something a million times better. listening to eternally is a whole experience in and of itself and i haven’t heard anything that could compare to it to this day

6. Girls, Nature - UGH. WHAT an underappreciated masterpiece. girls by nature does everything that other companies are so afraid to do with their girl groups: a strictly dark, horror concept, a haunting melodic line with no need for a rap breakdown because it stands on its own as is, a visual concept that does not sexualize the girls in any way but instead tells a story of a person at the mercy of the one they love. it’s e v e r y t h i n g. Not to mention the song has one of the best pre choruses i’ve EVER heard.

5. Wannabe, Itzy - Let’s be honest, you knew this was going to be here. Everyone and their grandma was learning ryujins shoulder move. this was literally the summer of itzy’s wannabe. This is actually the comeback that got me onboard the itzy train and now i’m barreling down the mountain going 200mph and can’t find the breaks

4. I Can’t Stop Me, Twice - I think onces really had no idea where this comeback was gonna go. after more and more got such mixed responses from fans, we all weren’t really sure what direction the company was going to take twice in next. personally, i’m SO happy they went for the retro synth 80’s vibe concept. it was current enough to fish in non fans and keep new onces engaged but they also added their own unique twice spice to it, and i’ve been playing it on repeat for weeks also stan risky risky wiggy wiggi

3. Oh My God, G Idle - Ahhhh, yes. another polarizing song from gidle. omg for me was exactly what i needed from gidle. They’d been playing around with the darker concepts but had never fully committed to the potential that i saw in their music, but with omg we finally got the see them go full out with it, and i don’t think ANYONE could have done it better. The drop while empty was somehow so satisfying, the visials in the mv were visceral and witchy and to think that soyeon wrote and produced such a masterpiece. all i can say is bravo

2. Daisy, Pentagon - if this song doesn’t hold a very special place in your universe heart then buddy i think it’s time to throw the whole heart away. daisy, on top of being the first song to earn pentagon a well deserved music show win, was so emotionally moving from the lyrics to the mv to the choreo. you don’t need to know korean to feel exactly what the writer is feeling when hui sings that chorus, and that my friend is true artistry.

1. Answer, Ateez - Bet you were expecting a stray kids song. answer though has had my whole entire heart body and soul from the second it came out all the way back in january. for it to last a whole year as my favourite song of 2020 really speaks volumes as to how incredibly talented ateez and their production team are. Over the course of this absolute shit year, this song really inspired me to push forward, to keep working toward my goals and to keep believing in myself, and i think that’s a pretty amazing feat for one single song.

tell me the first song that made you stan your current fave group and why did your faves attract you so much?

ok SO the song that probably got me into rv 100% (also yes ik this blog is 99% nct but rv is my forever fave no question) was probably ice cream cake!! i had been a casual listener of many groups up until that point and had never really stanned anyone, but icc was so infectious i found myself watching it over and over. i had heard happiness and be natural before but hadn’t really listened too closely, so icc was the song that captured me. after that, dumb dumb only cemented my love for them more, and the red is still one of my favorite kpop albums to date. rv attracted me primarily because of their incredible vocals and their versatility in genres and concepts. i still get so excited wondering what they’ll tackle next!! they’re just soooo unique and have one of, if not the best discographies of any group. i cannot stress enough, I. Love. RV!! also they’re funny and gay so. anyway stream monster once it drops uwu

1. what is your favorite song that’s been released during quarantine? ooooo honestly??? probably something off of Sawayama. literally every song bangs so hard i highly recommend that album to anyone!! i can’t pick a favorite off it but who’s gonna save you now is awesome and xs is just,,, chef’s kiss

2. what is your greatest mishap when you tried cooking? (or something you’ve witnessed) one time, while making soup at my late grandmother’s house on her like gas stove, i put a lid on a pot and somehow that led the pot to be engulfed in flames. IN MY DEFENSE i was like 7, and i’m great at cooking/baking now

3. what’s your go-to outfit or article of clothing? oh i love a nice dress. they can be casual or formal, and you look like you put effort into your outfit except i didn’t because i didn’t have to match anything yo!!!! also shorts have trouble fitting me cause i’m a weird body type so dresses tend to be very comfy for me

4. what is your comfort food? am i allowed to say like all food??? eating in itself is comforting,,, that sounds depressing but also i just like eating yummy food. i guess i’d say like my dad’s fried rice?? its my fave and no one makes it like him soooo

5. what singular moment in your life would you like to relive? i couldn’t tell if this meant like, a good moment you want to re-experience or go back in time and redo a moment and fix it. it’s kind of a hard question so i might cop out and go with a bit of a silly answer: i want to relive the hi touch with astro...... i wanna look at rocky’s beautiful eyes and touch moonbin’s hand ok,,,,

6. what is your favorite line and/or character from a movie, show, or book? i got a bunch but a few off the top of my head are genie lo (the epic crush of genie lo), ty lee, suki (atla), klaus, and ben (umbrella academy) 

7. if you could only choose one ice cream flavor and pizza topping/style for the rest of your life, what would it be? ice cream flavor: this very specific one from a local store that is banana ice cream with strawberries and oreo mixed in. it is heaaaavenly. as for pizza topping, i love a breakfast type pizza with an egg on top and like sausage and stuff!!!

8. what is the worst injury you’ve ever had or witnessed? funny enough, i’ve actually gotten badly injured quite a few times, and always on the face!! god hates me. the worst was probably when i hit a metal bench with my face and it took a chunk out of my cheek. i still have the scar! as for “witnessed” i accidentally broke a grown man’s rib once as a child, so i guess that would count.

9. would you rather explore the unknown of space or the bottom of the ocean? oceaaaan!! i answered this in some other game, but i like how mysterious and yet close the ocean is. like proximity wise it’s so near, yet there’s an insane amount we know nothing about. that’s so frightening but so intriguing

10. if you could be any cartoon character, who would you be? my first thought was literally “kirby. eat fast” GOD my followers are gonna think i’m just a glutton and they’re not even gonna be wrong im dying. but uhh idk mulan or smth?

Okay so you two are the cutest beans in all the land, so therefore I ship. I have substantial evidence to support my claim as well. When you two are together, there is sunshine all around- even when one of you is having a bad day, you two just make each other happy. You each were bitten by the lovebug when you met, and you two always continue to never have a dull moment. Evidence number one as to why I ship you two is that not only did you get yourself a lover, but you got yourself a best friend. Minhyuk always knows 1)what to do, 2)what to say, 3)how to make you laugh, and 4)how to surprise you. He would just know you like a book. If you’re ever stressed and need a pick me up, Minhyuk’s gotchu. Date night? He’s gotchu. He’ll go buy pizza ingredients and you made homemade pizza and binge watch the latest show, it’s great. Minhyuk would be able to see past the RBF by the way. Hyuk would be really good at reading your facial expressions, so he would always know what mood you would be in. Like I said, he knows you. He always 110% there for you when you need support. Whether it be for work, or for school, or simply get the courage to ask for a pizza with specific toppings, He’S gOT YoU. He is also your personal comedian. He’s got the best corny jokes you could ever imagine. The joke can be absolutely awful tbh, but if it gets you to smile, he keeps that joke in the memory book for future use. You also love to crack jokes with him. You also like to prank him every now and then bc he’s easily scared. So you’ll hide in the clothes hamper and give him a little surprise. We all know he is a huge goofball, so like, he’s always doing something weird and goofy, and the moments where you both are alone at the apartment just not giving a crap and being goofy are some of the best times. Moving along, he loVES giving you affection. You know Minhyuk with puppies, right? Girl, you are like that puppy in the Buzzfeed video. Whether it be PDA or even simply talking/touching each other, he loves to focus on you, know what’s new and fresh in your life, and he loves seeing your eyes light up when you get excited. He’s also the king at surprising you. Flowers, a road trip, your favorite take out, he will always surprise you! A lot of spontaneous trips, mostly because when he see’s a place with good restaurants, he’s like ‘LET’S GO’ so you go. Lastly, king of PDA. So many snuggles, and kisses, and hugs, and hand holding. He loves to kiss your forehead and hold your hands, the way you fit perfectly around his arms makes him so happy and calm, he never wants to let go. 

NCT: Haechan

Okay so, there are literally so many options I could choose from, but for some reason why, Haechan is getting in my face like ‘PICK ME WOMAN’ so, here we are. You two would be a very domestic couple. Simplicity at its finest, and you’re just love sick puppies for one another. You two also joke around a lot. Right off the bat, I know Haechan would like to poke at your RBF. Similar to Minhyuk, he would know how to read your face so he would know if you were mad or not, but he does like to poke. You equally poke back at him but you’re always laughing by the end of things. You two can also be quite spontaneous. There is a good balance of wild and mild between you two, and if you’re down to go out on an adventure, you’re out in the city with no plan, some money, and hearts set for fun. And then if you’re not feeling going out, you have a karaoke party in the apartment, which can be equally as fun as to going out in the city. And then there are times when you want to be spontaneous and go to a new area. As long as you’re together, nothing else matters. Haechan would also be very affectionate towards you. This technically isn’t PDA so, I’m touching on this now. Haechan is a sweet bub by nature, so don’t be surprised if he goes on these rants about how much he adores you or how happy he is to have you in his life. Haechan would be very open about his feelings since the beginning, and you’re not against it, in fact that’s one of the reasons you fell for him anyway. You also love giving affection back to him, so you two would be very in tact with your feelings. You’re sweet and soft, but again, you can be spicy and sassy. I literally laughed out loud at the thought of this, but your hotheaded nature and his savageness results in a lot of playful bickering. The best times to bicker is when you’re with Chan’s fellow members and when you two bicker with each other, it’s always hilarious to have the members side with one of you, then you have a whole debate about the topic. Idk why I love the thought, I just do. Moving along to date night, date night is side and sweet. For you two, date night is a form of relaxing and bonding, because you both can get really busy and you never want to take your stress out on each other, so you two like to order take out, trying out new restaurants every time, and you’ll play some video games or watch a movie or two. You two also enjoy going to parks! PDA wise, I think Chan would be a little shy tbh. He’s not scared to be judged, but he just gets nervous to see other peoples reactions. He loves to hug you and give you cheek and lip kisses, he also loves to hold your hands, and rub his thumb over the top of your hand. Ugh you two are so cute. 

Pentagon: Kino

When I think of you and Kino, I think of shy beans who love to go out and have a ball. Again, there are a lot of options to choose from when it comes to you, but the more I thought about you and Kino together, the more my heart went uwu. Starting out, you two would be very shy with each other. He wouldn’t want to be too forward and make you uncomfortable in any way, and you wouldn’t know when to hold his hand or compliment him. You two would be this cute bundle of red cheek mess, and I’m living for it. However, you both come out of your shells and you got super close when you did. I’m gonna lay this on the table right now, he is your personal snuggle bear. He loves it when you hug and snuggle on him, so like if you want hugs in the mall while you’re eating in the food court, he’ll tuck you into his side. Or if you’re at home, you will literally bend his arms and body in a position that you want to get snuggles. He doesn’t entirely mind it though. You also do not have to worry about getting motivation to get things done. Idk, I see Kino as someone who has the energy to take on big tasks at once and he easily becomes the perfect person to help you get motivation. You two can be such a proactive couple, and that is super cute to me, don't judge me. And honestly it doesn’t matter if you two are working on something together, like working on cleaning the apartment, or working on something separately, like tasks for jobs, you two work well together. You both help each other out a lot, so you would work well together, almost complimenting each other in a way. I also have this thought about you daydreaming, listen. One day Kino would catch you zoned the f out as you’re daydreaming about something. Your facial expression sort of worried him, and he would give you a light shake to wake you from your trance. When you settled down from nearly being scared to death(like I said, you were zoned out), Kino would still be worried. But as soon as you tell him that you were daydreaming, he instantly relaxes and he is very intrigued on what you were daydreaming about. You’d be a little shy to tell him but his whole face would light up when you told him what you were thinking about. He would want to know the little details, he just loves to hear what’s going on with you. He also loves to have your attention in general. Date night is always him, but what happens during date night depends on your moods- sometimes you go out, sometimes you don’t. But you’re always giggling and laughing, hands holding one another at some point. You two also slow dance to your song every time ;). PDA wise, if you’re not wanting the affection, he tends to be more reserved with PDA. He enjoys saving the sweet stuff behind closed doors. 

VIXX: Ravi 

So when I was choosing a member, I wanted to go with Ken, but then I was like nah nah boy and I thought harder. Now, here we are. I love you and Ravi together, like I love it a lot. You would compliment each other nicely, much to people beliefs. I love comparing couples to things, so you and Ravi would be like ying and yang, you’re just too cute! And I just love the thought of this, you two would have good girl-bad boy aesthetic going on. Is my mind going back to the 50s? Yes. And am I ashamed of it? No. Ravi is also helplessly in love with you, so you will not change my mind on that. He is so whipped for you, you can crush his tough guy stature like a walnut or any other nut that is easy to crack lol. He is just so soft for you, and I am here for it. You would give him so much motivation and inspiration for things like staying happy, for motivation, or for lyrics for his songs. I can see a lot of his inspiration coming from memories that you two have made together. From your travels, to dates, to simply looking at each other, Ravi can get so much inspiration- which by the way you would have endless songs dedicated to you. Ravi would also be constantly scared to lose you. He would allow some of his anxiety to take over and he would always want to be the very best for you, so he could be a provider for you and he could take care of you. Ravi wouldn’t always admit that he is scared to lose you, but a lot of his actions speak for itself. You love to call him out on it, mostly because that’s one of the times that you can make him flustered. You love to cup his cheek, give him a kiss on the lips and tell him how much he means to you. Then he just wraps his arms around you and it’s so soFT anD I NEED A TISSUE. He’s also so quick to stand up for you on social media. He takes no bulshit from haters, and he is very quick to shut a hater down. He also highkey loves it if you ever get pissed off at one of his haters and you pop off. It’s funny for him when he see’s how your ears glow red or just simply loves to see you rant about something. Moving right along, pet names are your shit, listen up. You two have multiple nick names for each other and they get changed often. Again, I can really see Ravi being whipped for you, so he wouldn’t be afraid to call you some cute ass nickname like lovebug or baby doll, whatever he see’s that fits the most. You love to take it one step further and have joking nicknames, but those nicknames mean the world to him. I want to touch on this super quick- two words. SLOW. DANCING. I love this concept so much. He loves to have you wrapped in his arms with his cheek resting on your head, eyes closed, dancing to an old school love song. My 50s dream is living right now, but dear lord it is so sweet. PDA wise, I think Ravi would be possessive. He would always like to keep you close, and he ain’t afraid to make out with you in front of a guy who looks at you the wrong way. Don't mess with his girl.

운명을 찾아낸 둘이니까 190725 MGA SEASON 5 + EPISODE FIVE +  #5050 FEATURING : CHOI MINHO & JEON HEEJIN ⟨ ━━ ❀ ° PART ONE: PERFORMANCE, BBOOM BBOOM + DNA ( 0:00 - 1:55 ) ⟩

her mouth is full of chunks of noodles but she speaks anyway, hand raised to her mouth in an attempt to make the action appear a little less nasty than it actually was. “honestly - i don’t mind.” her pink hair waves with the rapid shaking of her head - adding on to the fact that they were all practically saying the same thing. “dancing, singing, it’s whatever! just don’t make me rap, please?” and that was a personal plea.

an invitation from minho brought the trio to a restaurant that kyulkyung was just so in love with. they gathered in hopes of getting to know one another better and figure out exactly what they would be doing the rest of the week. and so far, this was going better than the woman could’ve hoped for. 

when her pairing was once again announced first, it was hard to contain her excitement. this week she had truly hit the jackpot. 

“i’ve danced this entire time, i’m sure everyone’s bored with it.” she jokes, pausing to take a sip of water amidst her devouring of her noodles. this certainly wasn’t her usual burger after thursday filming, but it did not disappoint. “i can sing, dance, do both!! it’s okay!” 

in all honesty, she worried a bit about her performances on the show. were they becoming too repetitive? kyulkyung had yet to showcase any singing skill the entirety of her time on the show ( other than her audition ), and the fact made her nervous. sure, she was a good dancer, but wasn’t she more than that?

the woman kept these worries to herself, wanting to do what would be best for everyone rather than just herself. advancing was crucial for the whole team, not just two of them, and that involved some leniency when it came to selecting a performance. everyone needed to be comfortable, willing to share the spotlight equally and lucky for them, that was exactly the case.

kyulkyung admittedly was not a morning person. usually bright and peppy, the woman could barely manage to crack a genuine smile when sleep still laced every nerve and muscle in her body. it was a tiny bit easier when she was walking with heejin - her hair messily tied up into a bun and face bare despite the cameras that awaited them in sphere’s practice room.

the thought of practicing in a company practice room was exciting to her, but the woman managed to keep her cool. she didn’t know much about many kpop idols, but knowing that practicing in these rooms meant that they were that much closer to the end was thrilling. it was hard to believe that they were going into episode five - that she was going into episode five.

she auditioned without worries, not thinking of how far she could actually make it and yet here she was - walking into a sphere practice room to prepare for the fifth episode’s performance, hopes high and soaring as wild as ever.

the pair are expecting minho to meet them at the practice room, but she is NOT expecting the fear that overcomes her when she sees something unexpectedly colorful and tall sitting ominously in the center of the room. kyulkyung pauses midstep - door pressed firmly against her palm and mouth open in shock as she stares at the... clown wig?

the woman looks around before narrowing her eyes at the mirror, biting down on her lip but unable to stop the smile that spreads across her lips when minho’s reflection stares back at her.

“heejin... should we be worried?” she whispers to the other girl, leaning a bit closer to her partner but eyes fixated on the clown wig that rests atop minho’s head.

“just one question.” she calls out into the room, “how long have you been sitting there like that?”

practice for episode five was vastly different than the past week’s. kyulkyung was filled with worry while the environment that surrounded her this week proved to be vastly different. alongside having a trio that just genuinely got along and decided on their roles easily, the other group that shared the room with them made the experience that much more enjoyable. from facetiming suwoong from kyungsoo’s phone to eating the quiche he brought it, it was hard for the woman to have any type of worry.

not to mention changbin who just had to flatter her and boost her ego a thousand times over. “you’re one of the best dancers here!” and she just couldn’t help but hug him.

the thought crossed her mind at least once, maybe she was just having too much fun. but she just couldn’t help it.

the light-hearted nature of their performance made it easy to enjoy, but exciting to watch, the woman loved piecing it together, laughing over their mistakes but growing confident in their teamwork.

“oh my god, minho - heejin now!” kyulkyung gestured wildly to the younger girl who stood a wreck. her hair askew, flying in all directions because of the headgear that framed her eyes.”we have to protect her image! hurry!!” she was laughing but moving quickly to stick her face in front of the camera - making dumb faces at the lenses as minho took care of heejin’s mess. their practices involved a lot of this, a lot of laughs and food but also a lot of excitement.

she had done fun routines before, but none like this. it was easy to smile, genuine movements able to create an undeniably alluring performance. 

and she couldn’t wait to show it.

when filming came around, the woman couldn’t help the anticipation leading up to their stage. it was hard to sit still, becoming more thankful that they were the first trio to perform as she couldn’t imagine waiting much longer. similar to last week, kyulkyung hoped they could introduce episode five in a good way - set that bar high and expectations wild for the remained of the episode. performing first meant not having the pressure of following up a good stage and she’s sure that at this point in the competition, everything would be a good one.

the mashup they selected complemented each other nicely, the stage they formulated to bring fourth a lighthearted atmosphere which reflected the past week perfectly. “we didn’t forget the goggles and the controller did we?” she asks, hopeful eyes met with reassurance that they would do just fine. 

“hello! we are the royal court!” the trio greeted, introducing episode five with bright eyes and a playful atmosphere. straightening out the colorful stripes decorating her crop top, kyulkyung pulls at the fabric - shifting her weight on her feet as she waits to introduce herself. she holds her head high and keeps her shimmering lips pulled into a smile when she introduces herself, switching to chinese to begin her introduction per usual. “hello! number 5050, zhou jieqiong here! we prepared something a bit more fun to watch this week, hope you like it!”

a stool is sat center stage while kyulkyung and minho move to their respective ends of the stage - the pair at the end of opposite runways while heejin moves to the center one. the trio had planned this out vigorously, coming up with a cute scenario for their performance that would certainly be entertaining to follow along. it isn’t hard to shift into the atmosphere of their routine, a naturally bubbly woman living for a song and performance as creative as theirs.

this week was vastly different than what she had shown with suwoong last week, and kyulkyung loved keeping everyone on their toes. what side of her would she show next? the mgas proved to be an excellent place for her to experiment the different sides of her dancing persona, the perfect platform to receive feedback and grow based on that. while last week seemed to have some mixed reviews, she cannot wait to show the her that she felt most comfortable in. 

heejin’s walks towards the stool where their makeshift VR headset rests along with a controller, the “announcer’s” voice following shortly after. 

JEON HEEJIN, SELECT A SONG TO CONTINUE

and so their performance begins - the song mashup turning up as kyulkyung and minho begin to slowly move up and down as characters do in the selection menu. she attempts a cute pose to match her song, bboom bboom’s bubbly lyrics and music bringing forth the darling in her.

“what are you doing? that’s my song that’s playing.” she speaks out, throwing on a pout and crossing her arms as she stares across the runway at minho, who counters with a no, it’s my song. she chose yours last time! before they’re rushing towards center stage.

there were a lot of new experiences for kyulkyung this week. alongside relying on acting a bit more this week and usage of props, the woman was finally showcasing her singing on the show. the fact was exciting, but at the same time she couldn’t help but fear the reactions. she wasn’t a bad singer by any means, and most of her vocals this week were prerecorded anyways, but still, what if it’s worse than what everyone was expecting? 

the thought worried her, but in all honesty, she didn’t care. the woman wasn’t a singer by any means; dancing was her overall best talent and the skill she always relied most on. but she had read comments of wanting something different and new besides all the dancing and what better way to show it? this week she was accompanied by heejin who arguable had one of the best voices on the show and minho who not only had a decent voice but knew how to perform with it as well. in all honesty, she had a bit of an advantage this week learning from them ( especially considering the fact that she was in no way embarrassed to ask for help ).

숨이 콱 막힐 것 같아 넌 

the concept they went with was a bit easier skill wise than what she was used to, but was definitely more on the creative side. it was performances like this that she enjoyed best - loving being able to follow along with a story and watch the talent that matched it. heejin was playing a video game and kyulkyung and minho were the characters too busy fighting for her attention, wanting to be picked so they were constantly competing with one another. it was a bit ironic given their current situation, but nonetheless it was fun to perform.

because we’ve found our destiny  -  the two songs link up here, the two dancers pulling heejin into the game and taking her goggles and controller from her. up until this point, the other girl had been singing, contemplating her choice between minho and kyulkyung as they danced for her attention. as they tug her closer, she manages to pull the younger girl closer to her side - pushing minho out of the way and getting her to dance to bboom bboom with her.

the two girls’ voices blend so well together, the soft tones complementing the song nicely as they dance together. kyulkyung’s character tries her best to make heejin forgot about minho and his stupid song because hers is so much better ( and definitely more fun ). this is the part where kyulkyung’s live vocals can finally be heard, not wanting to push it too much this week and instead relying more on prerecorded vocals for the characters - allowing heejin to take that spotlight but also giving her a chance to dance when they all come together.

minho manages to sneak up on the dancing pair, coming back into the frame as he pushes kyulkyung out of the way to begin dancing with heejin. at first, kyulkyung appears shocked but she just steps to the side and watches until the other girl notices minho had taken her place. the two meet eyes, confused and bewildered before they shrug. and finally the trio begins to dance together, letting that competition die and slowly bring their performance to an end.

their performance ends and kyulkyung is catching her breath, smiling as always and feeling like she’s on top of the world. the adrenaline from their routine is slowly simmering down, but all she can think about is the satisfaction of a fun performance.

1. Do you believe there is extraterrestrial life out there?

Yup! No idea what they’re like, but we can’t be the only life in the universe!

2. What is your definition of love? Do you think it can even be defined?

Love is hard to define~ you can love something, and you can be in love with something. Love is when something/someone makes you happy, when they make your heart race and your face light up. It’s when you’d go to lengths to help someone or make them happy. It’s really hard to describe, something we’re really clueless to. After all, they say, love is blind~

3. Are love and hate opposites? If not, then what do you think is the opposite of both?

Love and hate are both opposites and they are similar~ they’re opposites in which one is positive (questionable?) and the other is negative. once again, since I can’t define love I can’t really judge them. there’s a fine line between love and hate is all I’ll say~

4. Is war justified? Or do you think peace is the better answer?

It really depends on what war is about; if it is for true justice I believe it is. Peace is definitely the better answer. What a paradox, when you can choose to wage war for peace~ 

5. Do you think global warming is real?

I definitely think global warming is real. The world is in danger and nobody seems to really be doing anything...

6. If you could go back in time and undo all the things that mankind has done to damage the Earth, including things like the creation of everyday goods, technology, etc., would you?

7. Name one historical figure you respect and why.

Damn I really need to brush up on my history, I don’t know many. I’ll say Maya Angelou because I recently researched her in English and I think she’s a really strong and brave person with a great sense of justice. (idk if she counts as a historical figure)

8. Do you think humanity is more bad than good or the opposite?

Wow, once again another deep question! It can be both good and bad, it depends on who most of humanity is and how you see it. It’s pretty horrible but there are a few things about humanity that make it better~

9. Do you believe in soulmates? Fate/Destiny?

I believe in fate/destiny, but also that you can control what paths you take in your destiny! Soulmates.. I don’t believe that there is someone who is “your other half” or “meant to be together”, but I do think you can find someone out there who is perfectly (not so perfect) matched with you who will truly make you happy~ that’s what I call a soulmate.

10. Do you think time-travel can be achieved? Would you want to go into the past or the future?

Maybe far in the future it can, but time doesn’t seem like something you should mess with anyways. If I had too, I’d pick future... maybe find out the lottery numbers or something ;) 

11. Team Cap or Team Iron Man?

Not a huge marvel fan but I love Iron Man all the way~ (i’m sorry marzy both of those answers probably just crushed your soul) I have watched some marvel movies and I really do like them and the characters but I’m just not a huge fan~

I don’t read or watch much of both but I believe whichever one came first (most of the time). With anime I like watching the show but if I REALLY like it I’ll check out the manga as well~

I do! Some people really get it so accurate it’s spooky. I’m a pisces~

The way they carry themselves I suppose? Are they happy or sad? Shy or outgoing? Do they seem like they want to be friends or not? Stuff like that.

To be honest, I have no idea. I always wanted to go into the medical field but I realized being a doctor might not be right for me... So I’m VERY confused! I’ll say for now my dream career is to be an optometrist though~

My heart, I tend to overthink but I know once my heart is set on something, it’s hard to reason with it~ often times when have arguments about choices where my “head” wins, I feel disappointed in the decision and that’s how I know I should choose the other :)

2000 days with Nu’est!

Yes, I know I might be a little late when it comes to this little celebration that has been filling my Instagram feed and Tumblr tags, but when this post is finally up, it’ll be 11.59pm in Singapore so I suppose I’m still not too late right? :’) Sorry guys, I’ve just been really busy catching up with my rest, especially with the fact that I just went through a pretty big exam period. T.T Nevertheless, I’ve actually known Nu’est since their debut days (or more like the year) and this deserves to be something that I will talk about because of that. :) 

Firstly, I would just like to congratulate Nu’est for their 2000th day anniversary ever since their debut in the first week of March 2012. :) They’ve gone through LOTS; from debuting with Face and breaking records with the most viewed debut music video in Kpop history with 66 million views to continuing their popularity streak with Action and Hello. Unfortunately, the hype soon came to an end and they were soon “shipped” to Japan to continue their activities, gaining immense popularity despite the unfair treatment that they had received. When they came back to Korea, however, the odds were still stacked against them, even if they came back with pretty good songs such as “Good Bye Bye”, “Love Paint” and “Overcome”. In fact, it’s hard to see why everyone was so blind to the amount of talent that Nu’est had. 

Produce 101 was their last chance, and it required them to go back to square one. calling themselves trainees even when they were technically 5-year-old idols. Sure, they received lots of hate for having an “established” fan base and judgement from the trainees themselves. Nevertheless, they overcame the odds, working hard and never giving up through the ups and downs of the arduous process as they met other trainees who shared the same dream, made new memories and start afresh. Not all of them made it into Wanna One, but here they are with Nu’est W, performing for 10,000 fans over 2 days with a full concert venue when they could not even bring 100 fans to their fan meet in the past. Hence, it’s obvious how much they have grown, changed and I am so so proud of them for making it through and succeeding, even when the odds were seemingly stacked against them. 

To Kim Jonghyun (JR), thank you for being such a great leader, both to Nu’est and all the other teams that you led through the course of Produce 101. We were devastated when you did not make it into Wanna One initially, but it was probably a blessing in disguise because where would Nu’est be if not for you? The road has been tough but you made it and that is all that matters. :’) 

To Kang Dongho (Baekho), thank you for being the main vocalist of Nu’est who belted out all those high notes effortlessly, contributing to the colour of the songs that Nu’est produced. :) You too had it hard, with vocal cord nodules and difficulty in adapting to Pick Me’s choreography which was unlike Nu’est’s elegant and smooth dances, but you made it anyway, blowing our minds away with your variety skills (somewhat) and giving it your all anyway (Open Up stage anyone?). You have done well, and we cannot be more proud of you at this point. 

To Kwak Youngmin (Aron), it must have been tough being on your own for 3 months but we would just like to thank you for showing your support to the boys as they went through Produce 101 with their successes and triumphs. Thank you for being the hyung that all of them clearly trust and rely on (especially JR) and for giving all of them hugs, as well as a meal, when they finally came home. :) You have been missed and we are so glad to have you back with your Mak-hyung tendencies. :) I bet most of us cannot wait to see more of that from you in the times to come! 

To Choi Minki (Ren), boy, you were the one who brought all of us (and the boys) the laughs, encouragement and positive energy that they needed to get through all the hardships with your sassiness, extremely hilarious reactions, top notch variety skills and most importantly, your belief. :) Thank you for keeping Minhyun and JR’s nerves together during the very first episode of Produce 101 and for simply being the comic relief that all of us needed during the emotional ride called “Produce 101 Season 2″. 

Lastly, to our Hwang Minhyun, whom everyone will wait for till December 31st 2018, thank you for being such a humble, optimistic and believing being. The road was not easy for you either, even when you started out the strongest in rankings in the beginning of Produce 101. When you made into Wanna One, it was probably the hardest for you, simply because you had to part with the people whom you could definitely call brothers after spending 6 long years with one another. However, we just want to let you know that you need not carry the guilt anymore because all of us are proud of you, even the boys themselves. They do miss you dearly, but they are happy for you. :) You’ve also been a brave being for enduring all the hate, but just remember that we will always be here for you, even when Wanna One days come to an end. Keep slaying with your powerful vocals and just be yourself. :) 

Once again, congratulations for the past 2000 days that you guys have endured and may you continue to walk the flowery road to success!

you know, i used to say that Egoist or Hi High were my number one favorite kpop songs (it went back and forth, i think i was most vocal about Egoist being my number one but there were times when i felt like it was Hi High), but like... idk... like aside from So What, i feel like i’ve barely listened to Loona at all so far this year, and honestly it’s been like six or seven months, maybe eight or nine, since i regularly listened to Loona every day (again, aside from So What).... i’ve listened to Egoist, a song that i considered my favorite kpop song hands down for the majority of the time i’ve been into kpop, like ten times this year and that’s it... and some of those times were because i had the thought “oh jeez i havent listened to this song in a long time, i should do that... i’m betraying it...”

i wonder if i only kept saying/thinking that egoist is my favorite kpop song because i said it once and i had to stick to it... i think its pretty clear to any mutuals i have that my actual favorite kpop song is something like picky picky though, a song i actually post about all the time and listen to really frequently...

so yeah, there’s no easy way to say this, but it really feels like i’m hanging on to Loona out of a sense of loyalty more than anything else :( it’s hard to put into words but listening to Loona feels kinda different these days. knowing more about how they decided things on the fly and how rushed the selection of the final members was (and how little the members were told) kinda... like... doesn’t it change how you listen to a song like New or Egoist? it certainly gives a lot more context to Yves being really shy in those first loonatvs she was in... and Olivia’s experience with her debut was such a whirlwind, like, she was just kind of thrust into the group... i have soooo much respect for all the members for being able to handle it, and i think it’s a fuckin miracle that it worked and they ended up with twelve incredible members, all of whom are so talented and any group would be lucky to have them, but even still just... some of the fun is lost a little bit for me. and I can’t listen to Everyday I Love You, one of my favorite Loona songs, without thinking of how much Vivi’s potential has been wasted. it turned a song that i have fun while listening to into one that makes me frustrated or sad. 

for whatever reason, i feel less of that when listening to ot12 stuff, even if some members get shit for lines, tho tbh, and this is a really hot take and i’m sorry... but i’m really mostly just into their three title tracks (and Favorite i guess), i rarely listen to their bsides.. they don’t hit me the same way, i guess. anyway though it’s the predebut stuff that makes me frustrated or sad. i cant help but empathize and think of what they must be feeling in the predebut era... happiness and excitement sure, but also nervousness, anxiety, stress, etc... the one by one debut concept was novel and it ended up working out in a sense, but at what cost? it was able to work out because the yyxy members were brought in at the last minute, Hyeju literally with only like 24 hours before they were gonna reveal the next member, and with all the changes we know about like Vivi probably being intended to be in OEC and things like that, and trainees that BBC had who for whatever reason ended up being rejected also probably at the last minute in favor of the yyxy members who were brought on... sigh... idk

it feels like it’s getting harder and harder to be a fan of this group, too. as they get more popular and more recognition, the fandom is growing, and with that comes a lot more drama, none of which i particularly care about (aside from the stuff relating to the group itself, as i’ve been talking about). they got their first win, and i was happy at the time, but... i’m worried about their future. it’s not that i wish they didnt get their first win, it’s just... i hope this doesnt make BBC feel validated in overworking and over-controlling them, you know? i want to believe that a lot has changed for the better since after Butterfly, especially when Jaden Jeong left, but we just have no way of knowing that for sure. there’s evidence for both sides, so at the end of the day, all we can do is speculate, and that doesnt really help anything. 

it sucks to admit this to myself but i feel like i’m losing interest in this group because of all this. whenever i’ve watched loona content from the So What era, sometimes they do seem happy, but even then there’s this feeling that they’re stressed and tired. are they happy? again, we can only speculate, so it’s best not to, but i cant stop my idiot brain from assuming the worst and picking up on signals that might not even actually be there, it’s just confirmation bias. maybe i only feel like theyre not at 100% because i’m already worried theyre not at 100%, you know? hmmm. also, i just... don’t think i feel the same connection with this group that i used to. maybe i never really did, tbh. they were my first group, my introduction to kpop, and i genuinely love some of their stuff still, but i feel like as i’ve gotten sooooo much more understanding of this whole kpop industry and i can put loona’s discography in context with aaaaaallllllll the other kpop songs i’ve listened to.... i feel like a lot of their stuff hasn’t aged as well as i would want, for me. you know how sometimes you wonder how much of what you like is really stuff you like, and how much is only because other people like it so you subconsciously feel you have to too? well, at first i would have said i genuinely love all of it and i could explain why, but idk i think i was convincing myself of some of it... as ive found more stuff that i genuinely love, it becomes clearer what are my things and what arent, you know? when i only knew 30 kpop songs and had 5 super-favorites, it was easier to overestimate some things, but now that i know hundreds and have a really deep pool of super-favorites, some of that early stuff i found is overshadowed, i guess. maybe egoist isnt as special to me anymore cause like.. at the time, i hadnt heard many kpop songs like it, but now... i have. and some of them do what it does just as well................. if not better............... sigh, i feel like im punching my past self in the gut

if this hurts you to read cause you’re a huge orbit, trust me, i know what you mean, it hurts to admit this. it kinda sucks to realize that you’re slowly losing interest in something you once loved and was incredibly important to you. 

oh and by the way, when i talk about losing interest, i dont mean that i dont care about loona anymore lmao, i just mean theyre going from my number 1 or 2 or 3 spot down to like my number 5 or 6 or 7 spot haha, alongside other groups that i like a lot but don’t follow the same way i follow my ults. so like even if i continue feeling this way about them, theyre still one of my favorite groups lol. like i guess i would kinda place them around where i would place twice or another group like that in my top 10? anyway... i just had to get this all off my chest. it started out being a post just about egoist and kinda hi high too, but then i realized i had a lot more to say haha, sorry. hopefully this doesnt upset anyone, idk, i hope you understand where im coming from :(

So I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile and I wanted to wait until I got home so I could be in the comfort of my house. But basically on Friday I had a “mental breakdown” about Namjoon and BTS as a whole and how much they have changed my life. I think this is gonna be pretty lengthy so I’m putting a read more

So this past Friday my friend and I were making a drive to our friends for our yearly Christmas party, which was about 4-5 hours (in reality it should’ve been about 2 1/2 but traffic was ass so). I might be saying stuff out of order, but tbh it was an emotional ride so I’ll be surprised if I remember every little thing that happened. Her sister is a fan of BTS so my friend has some knowledge about them. She knows a few songs (she likes Fake Love) and knows some of the members (she likes Jin lol). So we got on the topic of BTS and she asked me to play Fake Love since that’s the one she knows the most. So I asked her if I could play a few more of their songs and she said “go ahead!”. So I played Mic Drop, Epiphany, Euphoria, Boy With Luv, etc etc etc and then I said “Oh, I’m gonna play Spring Day because it’s one of my fav songs by them and the mv always makes me cry.” She laughed and said “Okay!” So I put on Spring Day and the part I always cry at is at the end when they’re all walking on the field and harmonizing and it goes all slo-mo (you know which part I mean) and I also explained that only the mv version has it but the songs keeps going after they finish singing and it’s just harmonization. I was also trying to explain the meaning of the song to her. So the song finished and then Answer: Love Myself started playing and immediately I was like “This song always makes me cry because of the concert.” And she asked for me to elaborate. I’m not sure if I’ve ever said it on here but I saw BTS last year in Texas and that song was the last one on their setlist.  So I went on and basically said something along the lines of: “Okay so last year was my second time seeing BTS and it was the end of the concert so obviously it was sad and emotional but idk what happened at the end but just hearing that song live really got me, as a warning I’m probably gonna start crying because it was for real extremely emotional for me. XX(friends name) in the chorus they sing ‘You’ve shown me I have reasons, I should love myself.’ and it was hearing that, seeing them right in front of me, and realizing this was the end of the concert that I just started crying. (at this point I was actually crying lmao)  It was like a wave of emotions just completely overtook me and the tears were just flowing out. Girls around me were crying too. I remember looking around the whole arena and then back up at them that the tears just started falling harder. XX I started crying out for the members, namely Namjoon and Taehyung because they were the closest to me at the moment (I was in the pit). And I reached my hand out to them like that would actually do something, and I just kept sobbing and sobbing and sobbing. At this point my friend noticed I was crying and was trying to comfort me. But it was so....I can’t even explain it. It was thinking that this might be the last time I ever see them live and also thinking about how much they’ve done for me.” My friend was trying to comfort me but she couldn’t do much because she was driving lol but she urged me to go on. I told her that I am so dedicated to these boys that I am 100% getting a tattoo for them. I know at one point earlier she asked me who else I love as much as BTS and I said Day6 and The Rose ( I also want tattoos for them) and she also asked me if they were all drowning who would I save. I said I couldn’t pick and she said “you would let them all drown??” and I said “XX I would drown with them”. But in the end I told her that BTS is my top top group.  I think it turned to her asking me if I could hang out with one of them who would it be and without hesitation I said Namjoon. She asked me if Jin was my favorite, why didn’t I say him. And then this is where the true mental breakdown happened. I’ll try to remember exactly what I said but no promises haha (also I was already crying from Love Myself but this convo just intensified it) “XX, you don’t understand how much I love Namjoon. Like it’s a different kind of love that I have for Jin. Jin will always and forever be my baby and my number 1 boy and will always be the first man I’ve ever fallen in love with, but with Namjoon...it’s a different kind of love. I love and respect him so fucking much, like he has gone through so much as a leader, as a person, and just in general. In the beginning he was the least liked member, which is so crazy right? Because he’s so loved now but it took him so long to get there. You remember what a fansign is right? Well this girl went to one and when she got to him, she said she got his photocard and he said “I’m so sorry”. Like really? He actually said that, and that just makes me so sad because he’s so amazing as a person and artist and he’s so smart and wonderful and creative and he does so so much for BTS.  Namjoon /hated/ himself for so long and he has a song called ‘Reflection’ and one of the lines is ‘I wish I could love myself”. (at this point I was sobbing) And XX it breaks my heart every time I listen to that song. XX I love him so so much that if I could have ANYTHING in the world (im actually tearing up rn as I write this) it would to be able to tell him just exactly how much he means to me and how proud I am and how much I respect him. (At this point in the convo I choked up on saying that out loud). There was this video I saw of one of their concerts and I think it was towards the end when the cameras were going on each of the members and it came onto Namjoon and everybody was cheering so loud for him and he looked so confused! Until he turned around and realized that everyone was yelling and screaming for /him/. And XX he got so embarrassed and shy and that was the exact video and moment that I realized I have this intense love that I have for him. And I think that’s when he realized that he is really loved too. I actually don’t remember if it was before or after that video but in one of his songs he changed his line to “I do love myself.”  Before I would always be like I love Namjoon so much yaaayyy, but I never really considered him a bias wrecker? But that video was the moment I knew that I have a different kind of love for him. And I don’t consider him a bias wrecker because Jin will forever be on top haha.” Guys when I say I was crying....I was CRYING. My friend was trying so hard to make me feel better and she was like “Please don’t cry, you’re gonna start making me cry.”  And I was like  “XX, these boys have honestly and truly changed my life and have helped me through so much. I discovered them through a friend and it was my first year of college and they have truly done so much for me. (this is where the convo got pretty dark). XX they have helped me through my happy days, my sad days, my depressed days and my truly lowest point days. When I say they have saved my life I honest to god fucking mean it. I promise you that if I never got into them, I would not be here today. I would’ve been gone long ago and I know it sounds dumb but they are the reason that I am still here today. (im crying rn typing this) The others( our other friends) know that I’m depressed but I don’t think they truly know to what extent. They’ve helped me through so much and that it’s okay to struggle and to not know what you want to do with your life. XX I’m still in the process of learning to love myself and for who I am and a bunch of other things” And at this point I was just trying to stop myself from crying because we were almost to our destination and I had to cleanup and stuff but the tears would not stop. I’ve always talked to my friends and sometimes on here about how much I love Namjoon and BTS but I’ve never really gone into depth about it, let alone said it out loud. That day in the car was the first time I truly poured my heart and feelings out about them. And even while writing this down I got teary eyed a couple of times and cried once. I’ve been a fan of BTS since 2015 and it has been a wild ride of emotions. They have taught and shown me so much and I can only dream about telling them how they have changed my life for the better. I’m not really sure why I wanted to write this down but I guess I wanted other fans to know that you are not “dumb” or “silly” or “over dramatic” for saying that a kpop group has helped your life. If you find that one special thing that makes you happy, then who the fuck cares what it is. As long as you know that that makes you happy and makes you forget about the world, then you hold onto that for as long as you need to.  I’m not gonna sit here and say that my depression is cured and that my life is sunshine and rainbows and that everything is perfect now. I still have my off days, my low days, my days where I really truly just want to say goodbye to everything. But BTS, among other groups, have helped me realize that not everything in the world is bad, that you can have your happy moments in life that make you say “Maybe life isn’t so bad after all.”. All in all, I just wanted to share my feelings and let other people know that you’re not alone for thinking like this. And I know I’m not the only one who says that kpop has been that /thing/ for people.  Anyway I guess this is all I have to say about this, I know I have more but I have too many emotions running through me right now lol.  Your feelings are valid guys, and don’t let anyone try to convince you otherwise.

    Hello, everyone! As there are actually three admins for this blog, it’s probably a good idea that we go ahead and introduce ourselves so that you can better differentiate who’s writing what, aside from reading through the tags, of course. I’ll post mine first!

I’ll be including them here, though, because I genuinely enjoy their music. However, I’ll divide them as, like, heavily stanning and subtly stanning. Right, so here we go:

Heavily Stanning

·         EXO: I love these men with every fiber of my being and would most certainly give one of them, like, a kidney of they needed it or something. I owe so much of my happiness to them.

·         SHINee: I’m an EXO-L by way of Shawol, so I was with these boys first, and I adore them. Listening to their music has helped me through so much—especially in the past weeks, about which I’m still incredibly upset—and I will always support them, no matter what.

·         Seventeen: Okay, I just got into them within the last, maybe, three months but they’re precious and their talents are out of this world.

·         Red Velvet: Hello, yes, I love my daughters.

·         Girl’s Generation: MY MOMS. “I Got a Boy” was one of the first kpop songs I bopped to years ago and I can’t go a day without listening to “Bump It” at least once.

·         Trax: They’re already on this list, despite the fact that I got into them through literally every other outlet than their music. I was introduced to Jay through his acting and Jungmo just because he was a chill dude that I thought was probably fun to be around. Now, though, I stan the group. (I’m a big rock music chick, though, so this wasn’t much of a shock to me).

General Personality Traits/Minor Notes: I post a lot of thirst-related content (see my posts about Jongdae’s ass, among other things), but I am both a hard and soft stan. I’ll get around to writing fluffy one shots eventually, but that’ll be after I finish the mammoth project that I’ve started concerning the sugar daddy/gang AUs. I’m super approachable (on the internet, anyway), so I’m always more than happy to talk to everyone! I’ve got three jobs, in addition to being a full time student, so writing may be difficult for me sometimes due to my schedule. However, I’ll try to be as active as possible!

Additional Writing Notes: I’m more than happy to write for EXO (clearly), and there may be times when I welcome requests. I’ll let you guys know when those time periods are, as they will most likely be during my breaks from school. Eventually, I may be comfortable writing for other groups, but I’ll have to see how comfortable I feel with that, as knowing members’ personalities is pretty important and I wouldn’t want to screw anything up.

Anyway, I’m going to try to stay in contact with you guys, even when I can’t write full chapters or one shots, because it’d be cool if we could all be close!
