holds out hands . may i hear your oc lore
since this is a sequel to this unanswered ask from my main
Tumblr media
ill give you my agents (and 2 related ocs) bc giving you all the ocs in one post will be really hard i have SO MANY. too many. ANYWAY sillies under cut!!!
lets start with 3 because thats where the timeline starts
heres a p old timeline drawing thingy that still holds up i think
Tumblr media
yeah just read through it. holds up. three is mostly the target of self projection lmao.
smore fun facts ab them:
they were team callie in the s1 final fest
they are wildly competitive
they sleep with an eyemask on bc the scrred eye glows in the dark (it bothers eight)
they value abilities over looks on gear so most their outfits are atrocious unless someone forces them to look good.
they can speak octarian
if they had a penny for every time they let an octarian who just got to inkopilis live with them theyd have two pennies. which isnt a lot but its weird it happened twice right?
which brings us to the next one which is actually an octoling oc i made back in like 2016??? def splatoon 1 era. shes been redesigned a bajillion times but the story is mostly the same. after the octavio fight she is also one of those octos who tried to get to inkopolis. this one was found by three who was like. i jave no idea what ur saying ur coming with the the old man totes knows octarian from his divorce. this n that and they teach eachother language and culture and its sweet and cool and they probabyl had some wlw stuff going on until 3 had a wholeass gender crisis
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is her btw. the drawing on the right is more up to date. im still thinking of renaming her. ill never find a name that fits. her original name was marianna but thats too close to marina!!!!!
shes also a fashion designer! she likes to use traditional octarian or military designs in her clothes. her pieces are not meant for turf wars though. shes still in close contact with three, and they hang out a lot. she wants to get three to ask the squid sisters if they could wear some of her clothes on a splatfest. three forgets.
next up!!!!! agent 4. i have two of those. they independently became agent 4 and then unrelatedly also became college roommates.
Tumblr media
hash is more of a canon adjacent agent 4. poser, loser, really dramatic and really loud. kidna does whatever they want and also likes to leave graffitti on the kettles they clear. theyre also an only child. they also call marie mom jsut to annoy her. also their hairstyle is the bob in the front but the back is spiky/shaved. theyre a silly lil punk.
ikarus is a cynical asshole. and also a self centered poser whos set on looking cool for whoevers watching. he has 2 younger siblings and 1 older sister. hes from outside greater inkopolis, thinks hes better than the in city inkopolitans but behaves the exact same. he sucks i love him. he really looks up to n respects marie bc she reminds him of his elder sister. his fav brand is toni kensa
ikarus got the agent job first, n got rlly mad when they found out that theres another agent 4 bc he didnt show up enough nd marie just hired someone else. they share a uniform. they try to annoy eachother by puttinf the weirdest smelling stuff in the uniform b4 leaving it at the canyon. when talking ab em as agent 4 i like to use #4 for hash and n°4 for ikarus
the two also have a 3rd roommate
Tumblr media
she doesnt have a name though. and if she does i forgot it :(
the three actually make a pretty good unit in their apartement. hash and ikarus only find out theyre both agent 4 when its time for the boss fight and both of them show up to get it done with. theyre both very competitive. they end up fighting over it and hash wins. ikarus is on the truck w sheldon and marie and is yelling insults at the battlefield until marie shuts him up so she can sing.
thw three roommates also always do salmon run shifts together. if they fuck up on a wave they always blame it on the one freelancer. yes they also kiss.
Tumblr media
for eight i actually made this ref here recently!
theyve always been really fascinated with inklings and also were going to become an engineer before running off and landing in the metro.
they are very well spoken but also pretty shy. they try to make a good impression on people. finds it hard to trust others.
it took a while until he got used to sleeping in a bed. still sleeps with an eye open sometimes. its a habit.
theyre usualyl the one forcing three into at least okay looking clothes. oh also this tall loser likes to wear heels n platforms. hes literally taller than marina and still wears heels.
he actually started learning inklish back in octo valley from really outdated books. after coming to inkopolis hes been given a buncha annotated language books from marina (and from three, who still had the ones they used w the other octo girlie). but they still end up using some really old phrases and words that kinda leave some people perplexed.
oh also they're not THAT good at fighting (they were never a soldier) theyre smart and persistent though. still ended up severely in debt w pearl bc of the metro. pearl offered he can just work as stage crew for off the hook for a few tours or so and theyre good. he took the offer immediately bc bro barely got income to repay that all normally.

Hiiii💚hope ur have a good day/night if it not to much to ask can i have Zoro with a female reader who to shy to confess her feeling for him. You could end it anyway u want 💚
Hello Anon! I loved the concept you sent me, but it turned out a *little* different than I anticipated. If this isn’t what you were hoping for, feel free to Bop me in the DM’s and I’ll try again. Hope you enjoy!
Timid Confession
Zoro x Shy!Reader
6 Romantic Do’s and Don’ts--Swordsman Edition
(Warning: mild cursing. Stupid pirates.)
Tumblr media
There comes a time, when every soul on Earth must be open and unbearably honest with another. A time when you must expose yourself. A time where you must open the ribcage of your chest to reveal the butterflies in your stomach, the fluttering of your heartbeat, and the way your breath hitches when a certain silhouette walks by. There comes a time when you have no choice but to lay your life--mind, body and soul--on the line and take a risk. In theory, this is something you know quite well. As a warrior of the Straw hat crew, this willingness to put everything at risk for your dreams is an everyday reality. But what about when that risk is a person? Surely the basic gist is still the same...right?
Wrong. Johnny and Yosaku used to laugh about this a lot--to your face--about how you are an absolute disaster outside of battle. The stoic, competent warrior shown on your bounty poster would vaporize as soon as you sheath your sword. Otherwise, you were a bashful, stumbling mess. And once a certain moss-haired hunter joined the crew...you were finished. With the flash of his sword, he caught your attention. With his wicked-sharp slit of a smile, he punctured the deepest parts of you. Your fate was sealed. Roronoa Zoro would be the death of you.
Everyone seemed to know what this strange phenomenon was, but to you, it was a goddamned mystery. It was a miracle that you were ever able to speak more than a dozen words to him on any given day. When your paths diverged for the first time, it was almost a relief. But from then on, there was always a gap in your plans. An empty bunk on your ship that used to be filled with snores at the most random hours. Your chest always ached at the memory.
It was in that space of absence that you realized--you loved him. The thought alone was enough to turn your whole world turned topsy-turvy. Then the Baratie happened. Then Mihawk, then Arlong and then--this peculiar straw-hat pirate, this boy that Zoro had sworn his fealty to--invites you along on his grand adventure. After all the things you’d seen and done, seeing the anticipation glistening in Roronoa’s eyes...how could you say no?
Life since then has been the wildest ride you could ever dream of. Marines, mercenaries, Giant whales and dinosaurs--it’s like something out of a fairy tale. And during all that time, one thing hasn’t changed. Zoro. Your heart pounds in your chest when you hear his footfalls approaching. Butterflies swim up to your throat every time you hear his voice. butterflies in your stomach. Your breath hitches, just from the way he looks at you. There were so many nights, hunkered down with Johnny and Yosaku in some tavern somewhere, where you wondered what you would say to him. To Zoro, if your paths ever crossed again.
Now here you are, reunited, chasing your dreams together. And yet you still can’t speak, let alone freaking breath in his presence. It was a nightmare. Stuttering every line, palms sweating, knees trembling, face catching fire--every possible symptom under the sun now seemed to increase ten-fold. How the heck were you supposed to genuinely bond with the man you loved when you could barely talk?
Nami was the first to catch on. Of course, she was. Her suggestion was to trick him into confessing his feelings for you. The moment she said the words you just stared at her. You swore right then and there this lady was crazy. Like, ‘dingo ate my baby’ crazy. There was no way in any of the Blues that Zoro had feelings for you. How could he? Every interaction was stilted and awkward. The only reason you two fought well together was that you’d done it before. God, how you’d missed it, in the time he’d been away. You quickly shook yourself free of the thought.
“Z-Zoro doesn’t work like that,” you’d told her. “Anything underhanded is either--is either gonna fly over his head or piss him off. I-I can’t, I can’t do that…”
The second time was Chopper’s idea. He hadn’t meant to overhear, but his curious little ears were very sensitive and… “well, I want to help you and Zoro”.
Which--okay. Zoro and Chopper adore each other. The swordsman is always co concerned and gentle with the young doctor. But he never belittles your resident reindeer for his age or size. That was something you already admired about the elder swordsman. He maintained gratifying respect for everyone in the crew--even Sanji. Nevertheless. You found it very endearing that Copper wanted to help you confess your feelings. As you soon discovered, however...that sweet, innocent winter reindeer had no clue about human romance whatsoever.
“Well, that was a waste-a--”
“Wonderful lesson in reindeer culture!” You interjected. Cutting off the cat burglar before she could finish her sentence. “But, uh, m-maybe there are other ways I can go about...er, ya know.”
And so, Nami called in reinforcements. Usopp the Liar. The long-nosed sniper was dragged into the room by his ear. Nami recounted the situation as I hid my face in my hands. His eyes practically sparkled with excitement.
“Ooh! Okay! I have a great idea! How about I go up to Zoro and start bragging about you, ya know, all the awesome adventures you went on before you saw each other again. Then he’d know just how awesome you are and he’d have to ask you out. I mean, he’s already in lo--”
“L-loudly snoring in the galley, I’m sure,” you excused quickly, shaking your head. “But if you interrupt his nap, all he’s gonna do is skin you alive.” Ussop visibly paled at the matter-of-fact statement. “I don’t--I don’t want anyone else getting hurt on my behalf so let’s just--I’ll figure something else out.”
Leaving the little pow-wow below decks, you bump into none other than your beloved’s worst enemy--Sanji, the ‘Ero-Cook’. “Ah, Y/N!” He cried in jubilation.
“Sanji!” You squeaked out. Your sudden alarm gave him pause.
“You look distressed, mademoiselle,” The observation alone was enough to turn his expression into a stormcloud incarnate. “If that damned Marimo broke your heart, I swear--”
“N-n-n-n-no!” You hurried to reassure him, waving your hand before Sanji could start kicking anything. “That’s not it at all! I mean, we were talking about--but he didn’t--I mean, he wasn’t even--” after so many fumbles you eventually just gave up, heaving a heavy sigh. “It’s nothing. I’m just bad at being brave.”
“I don’t believe it,” The cook’s immediate reply has you looking up at him in surprise. You saw him pull a cigarette from the pocket of his suit. “Not in a million years. You are one of the bravest angels sailing the seas, Y/N--whatever it is that scares you, they should be ten times more afraid.”
“You still talking about Zoro?”
“Damn right I am,” Sanji growled, his vitriol for Zoro overpowering his typical decorum. His lighter flickered to life as his eyes met yours. “It’s a gentleman’s job to court a lady, make her feel precious and desired. That brute can’t tell romance from a brick wall.”
“Whatchu talkin’ bout bricks for?” Another voice queried. Both you and Sanji turn. There, at the other end of the hall, is your captain. “Bricks got nothin’ to do with Zoro.”
“L-Luffy,” You stammered. “I thought you were at the figurehead, with Zoro?”
“I was, but then he decided to nap somewhere else. So I came here.” Luffy stated clearly, hands perched proudly on his hips. He looked between you and Sanji again, still curious. “So, why you guys talking about Zoro and bricks?”
“Because that’s how dense he is,” Sanji retorted. “Moss-head can’t tell that our darling Y/N is head-over-heels for his dumbass.” a trail of smoke slithered from between his gritted teeth.
At the mention of your name, Luffy turned and cocked his head. “But your head is below your heels. Isn’t that how people work?”
“M-most of the time, yes,” Sanji let out a sigh and a low curse. You bit your lip a moment before electing to explain. “But that’s not--what he means is, er, that I....uh, oh how do I explain this? Um. I want to tell Zoro something. But I’m not sure how.”
Your captain stared blankly at you. As if you’d smacked yourself in the face with a plank of wood and he couldn’t sure why. “Why are you so scared?” He asked, point-blank. “Whatever’s the most you thing to do, do it that way. Don’t worry about anything else, Y/N.”
Both you and Sanji shared a glance. The cook’s narrowed eyes told you he was a little bit sceptical. But he shrugged. He knew better than to question your captain’s logic. You, on the other hand, felt as if the sky had suddenly opened up. The next time you looked back at Luffy, your smile was as bright as the midday sun. “I think...I think you got the right idea, Luffy. I’ll give it a shot!”
Walking past both young men, you found your way to one of Zoro’s favourite napping places. Nami’s orchard. When you find him there, time seems to pause for a moment. The wash of the waves against the ship, the scent of the sun and the salt of the sea. That tang of citrus and those bright spots of colour in the trees--all those things seem hushed now. All you see is that head of mossy green hair and the entrancing rise-and-fall of his breath. You found a rake near Usopp’s garden boxes. It was like you had told the sniper earlier. If you prod a sleeping swordsman, you’ll get skinned alive. That is if you stand within swords-length.
Blades of grass softly crunch under your shoes as you tip-toe your way to the tree where Zoro is resting. When you’re close enough to reach, you turn the rake over in your hand; electing to poke him with the wooden tip instead of the metal points. If he felt the metal he might mistake it for a weapon and a genuine threat. Goodness knows you and your old bounty-hunting crew had plenty of threats to your sleep over the years.
One poke. No response. Two pokes. A groan and a slight shift. Then the snoring returns. You poke him three times; poke-poke-poke. He groans and shifts, his brow furrowing at the disturbance. But he still doesn’t open his eyes. You huffed to yourself. You really thought the three-pokes would work. Three was Zoro’s favourite number, after all. Patience fizzling along with your nerve, you finally jab him in the side.
“Zoro!”
The swordsman jolts awake. He looks up, seeing the broomstick near his shoulder, and traces it to you. “Why are you poking me with a rake?”
The moment his eyes land on you, all your fizzling patience and brazen nerve seem to vanish into the air. Butterflies surge from your stomach in a tidal wave, suddenly clogging up your throat. Your heartbeat jolts in speed at the sudden onslaught. The rake clatters from your hands as you flounder in embarrassment. “T-to, to avoid being fileted by a grumpy swordsman.”
Zoro huffed. “Put that thing away,” You hurry to do so. It is a vain hope that you might beagle to drain the warm flush from your face by the time you return. All the while, your fellow swordsman scrubs the sleep from his face with one hand. “Why’d you wake me up?”
“I-I, I wanna talk to you.” You abruptly drop yourself into the grass beside him. Standing above him in this orange grove somehow made you feel weird. If you were gonna have this conversation, you felt you needed to be on the same level.
“Okay, then talk.”
“Er, okay. So…Zoro, I-I mean I’ve been meaning to tell you that I--” you hesitate. But this time you swallow the lump in your throat, summon your courage--and expose your beating heart. “--I love you.”
Zoro is silent for a long moment. His eyes never waver from where you now sit beside him. Swords propped on his other side, he has his arms wrapped around his knees. Ever since he woke up, his expression hasn’t changed. He just looks at you, plain and straightforward as can be when he says; “Okay.”
You splutter. The single word response is nearly enough to throw you into conniptions. “Wha-what do you mean just, ‘okay’? I’ve been agonizing over how to tell you how I feel for-for ages! And all you have to say is ‘okay’?!”
The swordsman snorted. “Like words are the only thing that matters. Your actions speak for you, Y/N. I thought my actions made it clear that I--”
“...You what?” You blink, watching the spark of a blush rush vividly across the swordsman's’ cheeks.
“I-I love you, dammit! There. You happy now?”
The instant those words reached your ears, your smile bloomed like a sunflower. After all the ideas and voices and fears you’d heard today, you could hardly believe it--they were right! After all the years preparing for this moment, you could finally look someone in the eye and speak your truth. “I couldn’t be happier.”

jjk & tower of god chapter on the same day,,, i spent all of my brainjuice talking abt tog w some friends + working on my wip so this one might be incoherent LMAO but nsjdhfjd this my 2 cents for the chp (1) - 🐱
first of all, the zenins shld just eat shit 🥰 the bar is just nonexistant now 😭😭😭
also maki’s mother said sth that hits way too close to home for me too🥴
the maki & mai, megumi & tsumiki "make a place where they are happy” parallels...mai,, maki wanted a place where u'd be happy!!! 😭😭😭 good points abt any interesting nuances the original jpn might have had though
ALSO MUSCLE MAKI IS HERE
and lmao megumi's "ew no" face ,,, i didn't think he could make a face like that JDJJDJD ,, once again i think his outsider-insider status is interesting but the amount of ppl counting on him/leaning on him bc of strategic position is a lot. ig this is what kamo meant by supporting the 3 families,,,, gojou indeed is playing the long game. megumi in the meantime, very persistent in not getting more involved in clan politics, not using power that is offered to him, or leveraging it - in a way it is good, and it also makes sense with "stress is other ppl" but is interesting from a structural pov. megumi may not rly give a shit abt the rest of the jujutsu world. if the ppl close to him are affected, then he cares. otherwise, forget it.
also im interested in power implications here bcs it sound a little like there’s a slight split b/w leadership and everyday zenins and im curious what it's like if u have no connection to the top of the clan,, and again higher ups being unaffiliated with the 3 clans so they have to appeal to them. curious what other talents the gojou clan have and what they're known for bc clearly it's not just gojou, they still have power without him and still have a stake in the shifting power structure. kamo must be busy too...
MAKIIIIII ,,, honestly my heart hurts a little seeing her getting beat up in recent chapters. but i’m rly happy,, shes FINALLY getting the focus she deserves and i’m confident she will make a recovery and she IS in fact the one leading efforts on the zenin side. im rly hopeful she can take over the clan one day and no longer say she's not good enough
that stomach wound is bad news though so im wondering how she will come back from that,, that she didn't know her own father's abilities says a lot, too. i wonder if she could see the extension of his blade, or if she hasn't been able to see/understand many ppl abilities
im hopeful for next chp now. u can do it maki!!!!
flashing back on these bits, it makes more sense now why megumi wasn't melting down post-shibuya,, seems most information came to him in a sort of timely and calm way? also i rly have to wonder if gojou did not spend a decade plotting in front him bcs he's done it before,,,, like the whole clan head scene in megumi's middle school years....in a way i imagine he wouldve seen that gojou come out of the high school and watch him get more serious as he acquired even more skin in the game
all the time though i wonder abt megumi's tendency toward inertia and nonaction to things that would seemingly give him power and trying to understand it and that IS him being selfish and that IS,, imo the biggest indication of what he actually does or doesn't want. he wants it, he will act and work on it immediately himself. he doesn't like it? act like it doesn't exist. it make me want to shake him around like NO!! megumi pay attention!!! But his reaction to this clan stuff is a contrast to his behavior in recent chapters imo
and more mahjong references,,, between this and yuuji’s pachinko,, i wonder abt the undercurrent of gambling haha. a gamble for the shaman world and who will come out on top? a contrast to the flowy ocean imagery that connects shaman stuff out to the rest of the world
also this ,,,, there's that one jp tweet (i cant find it again😞) that talks about how toji, as the point of distortion, created megumi, who is currently playing a potential convergence/healing/uniting role (if he actually takes it on as a responsibility lol) and connects this back to the medicine buddha,,, whose mudra (hand sign) is used for chimera shadow garden. with the commentary abt ppl with heavenly restriction needing to know what to throw away in order to become strong or tap into their full strength and toji’s commentary at the end of fight with gojou,,  i actually always felt that toji died not having been entirely resolved with himself bc he talks abt going against the self that decided to forget abt self-respect, to live without thinking abt himself or others,,, in a way, living selfishly, for himself, by ignoring anything immediate and i think he succeeded for a while bc he didnt even remember megumi's name. he remembers it when he talks to getou abt him being thankful for toji not killing him bc of potential drawbacks
and at the very end he thinks of megumi again and that last act does think of someone else, like a "life before your eyes" moment where toji thinks about how the zenin's treatment of him led him there or how his return to shibuya ends with him remembering how he gave megumi back to the zenin,,, i think atm of his death he was starting to think he did want to care, in a different way, or that he needed a different paradigm. or,, maybe he was just starting to realize how far the zenin thinking had set into him
so we dont rly talk abt that being an enlightenment moment for toji but i kind of think it was. that megumi has the potential to become a pivotal piece as a legacy of distortion is interesting. i dont actually think toji set up everything intentionally bc he didnt know megumi's ability, and i dont think he wouldve thought that far. i think a lot of the heir and inheritance stuff is sth naobito set in after seeing megumi's development under gojou. it's clear now everyone has been keeping eyes on everyone else
at some point there's some interesting discussion to be had abt megumi and privilege - i'm surprised the canon characters dont hate him more for having stuff just fall into his lap, and so i liked that maki pointed this out that he could use this and he shld bc theres a frustration there - and yet at the same time megumi himself seemingly feels very little attachment to the zenin and the shaman world still. he just cares abt his little circle of people, and it's a very intentional choice, based on his good/bad ppl thing
u cant really affect the entire world, but u can assert urself on the environment around u and decide what u do and dont act on. this part of megumi is more teenage boy and kind of toji-like, i think,,, hence the emphasis on action
u express ur effect and existence through action, who u kill or who u save. toji having very little, while so much falls into megumi's lap while he doesn't want it, doesn't want to acknowledge it, likely doesn't want to take part in a system he doesn't like or, having been raised under gojou's wing, resents or finds corrupt or useless, or doesn't even think on bc he thinks its above his pay grade and gojou's there - this is also megumi's moment to solidify his own direction and commit to working in the system or out of it
the "not caring" is a defensive measure in a way too, i think. i dont think megumi is Big Good and wants to save everyone and everything and the world to be good and pure, i tend to think of him as a resigned chaotic neutral, who wishes he could be good orz
ANYWAY i think there's some interesting juxtapositions with the whole toji > megumi thing, that someone who is born without, restricted, births and creates someone full of blessings. its very shaman-like, action then reaction
AND i wish u luck on ur final paper (bless ur eyes to see incels bc i’ll just log off for the day when i saw one (1) of them on the net) AND DONT FORGET TO TAKE A REST,, the self care is much needed me thinks <333 (2) - 🐱
i love u 🥺🥺😭😭😭 you take care of yourself too!!!
also ur right...all this political intrigue im so curious i need to know how the jujutsu world is structured in terms of the higher ups and the clans. like i assumed that the three clan elders WERE to some extent also part of the higher ups???? but now it seems that the higher ups are a separate entity altogether, so like checks and balances i suppose. except both the higher ups and the clans are corrupt so no balance there 😭
the chapter implied the zenins are losing when it comes to the power struggle between the three clans. im interested. i want to see them all rot!!! like i also said though it’s going to be interesting to see the state of the kamo clan though, considering “noritoshi kamo.” like what do you even say to that???? im going to be surprised if it doesn’t affect their standing in the jujutsu world but then again the kamo clan IS one of the big three.
megumi really is a character that was blessed in all regards but like. doesn’t want anything to do with it LOL he really said ‘this is a pain no thanks.’ like gojo like megumi i suppose. i agree with u the whole toji and megumi set up....genius....i also love their juxtaposition. it’s so interesting and another source of irony.

[EXO Imprinted] Sehun: Alpha Male
Anonymous asked: I request sehun imprinted the way you wanna do it :)
Tumblr media
Characters: Sehun x female reader (featuring bts and ocs)
Genre/warnings: werewolf au, fluff, angst, very slight crack, guns, injuries
Word count: 6,265
Summary: The only person Sehun will ever submit to is his alpha, and even then, he gives Junmyeon a hard time. So when his mate ends up being the alpha of another pack, he wants to prove that he can be independent by going up against the leader of the werewolf hunters that you and your pack are running away from.
a/n: things in bold are in English (and I know there are gonna be a lot of ocs mentioned but you don’t need to specifically remember them or anything. as long as u know they in reader’s pack, ur good). This part is kind of all over the place though, especially the second half. And it wasn’t proof read at all (like most things I write) so it’s an even bigger mess lmao.
Previous | Next | Imprinted Masterlist
You wouldn’t have done this if you weren’t desperate. As a female alpha, you didn’t want to ask help from others, because that’s exactly what the males would expect from a girl. Any other werewolves you’d happen to come across never treated you with respect despite the fact that a female alpha was all but completely unheard of. You were smaller -- even if in your human form you were around 5′9, your wolf form was definitely smaller than the rest of your pack’s -- not as strong, and well, you were a girl. So you felt like you had something to prove, and you wanted to do things either with the help of your pack, or with no help at all.
Your pack was nine strong, counting yourself. Olan, Minjoon, Airou, Ataru, Hanjin, Samuri, Jaejin, and Chansol respected you and protected you as their alpha. They never questioned you or your gender, even when you had first found them. Sure, they were surprised at first, but who wouldn’t be meeting a female alpha when everyone thought those were just tall tales passed down by other werewolves? Even Olan, who was older than you, respected you as if you were his elder.
However, with Olan being the oldest in the pack, he was also kind of the wisest, which was partly why he was your right-hand man. He was this big Thai dude -- hence, his name being Olan, which he explained meant ‘great or large’ in Thai -- that honestly had kind of found you when you came to Korean. He was already a werewolf, and you had yet to shift. Running into him seemed to set off some alpha instinct that was deep down inside you, and you shifted right in front of him.
But with him being the wisest meant that he was the one to tell you that he thought your current idea was the dumbest thing you could do.
“Do you really think a random pack of werewolves will want to help us?” he questioned in a harsh, low tone even though nobody else could understand him other than you. “We’re nobodies who don’t even live around here.”
“Would you rather take on a group of werewolf hunters then?” you snapped as you walked down the street to the address you were given by a helpful stranger. “Look, Olan, there’s power in numbers. Currently, we only have one more than these hunters, and that means we’re still easy prey. We need to outnumber them, and even if they say no, we have a better chance getting out alive talking to a pack of werewolves than we do going up against silver bullets.”
“I’d rather take my chances with a bullet than 9 werewolves...” he grumbled.
You stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, making your entire pack halt as they watched the argument between you and Olan. They weren’t sure what it was even about -- the Japanese brothers picked up only a few words, but not nearly enough to figure out what you were mad about -- but just your tone had them shrinking back and backing down.
“My mind’s already made up, and we’re already almost there, so you can either shut up or go back home and hope you don’t get killed,” you growled, your eyes starting to spot red through your brown contacts. “End. Of. Discussion.”
Olan gave a small nod, having no choice but to obey his alpha, “Right. Sorry, _____...”
You heard Chansol whisper, “what was that about,” but you kept walking instead of addressing it. You were almost at the address anyway, so there was no point in talking about Olan’s objections.
After a few more minutes of walking in silence other than the members of your pack talking quietly to each other, you arrived at the address you were given. You looked up at the large house, frowning slightly. You figured anybody home would’ve sensed other werewolves nearby and would’ve been prepared for this. Then again, it was kind of late at night so maybe they were asleep or too close to it to realize.
You stepped up to the door and knocked. The rest of your pack gathered somewhat farther behind you, though Olan was right behind you in case anything happened as soon as the door opened.
The person that answered the door was a man -- as you expected -- with a round face, full heart-shaped lips, and short dark hair. You knew he just sensed the alpha all over you from the quirk in his brow, but he didn’t question it.
“Can I help you?” he wondered.
“Actually," you began, “that’s exactly what we’re hoping for.”

Sehun hated being the ‘pup’ as his pack loved to call him. He didn’t like the teasing -- the babying was alright, but he wouldn’t actually tell them that -- and he didn’t like that he had to take orders not only from his alphas, but from the rest of the pack because he was the youngest.
Currently, he was upstairs in his room trying to get homework done so he could be away from the pack. They’d been teasing him all night because of some comment Baekhyun’s mate has said toward him. It got the rest of them riled up to start with the ragging.
There was a group of hunters that apparently were going around. The pack had heard word they’d shot a werewolf a few towns over, so they weren’t necessarily in any danger. But still, Junmyeon was taking precautions, especially since they had mates in the house.
“Sehun, get home before dark.”
“Sehun, don’t leave the house alone.”
What was he, a child? He was still a college student which meant he was an adult. They couldn’t boss him around like that.
Except they could. They were werewolves and his instincts told him to listen.
At the moment, his instincts were telling him somebody new was in the house. He could hear it and smell it. But he did smell something faintly sweet, like the best scent he’d ever smelled. He wasn’t sure what it was, but he also wasn’t inclined to go investigate. He was sure he’d just be met with Junmyeon telling him to finish his homework or something. So he put in his headphones instead and went back to work.
Only a few minutes later, his door was opened by Jongin. The second youngest looked kind of excited but Sehun couldn’t gather why.
“Junmyeon wants all of us downstairs,” he reported.
Sehun groaned but took his headphones out and got up from his desk. Of course, the one time he figures he should stay upstairs, he gets the opposite.
Coming down the stairs, the sweet smell was growing stronger. Still, Sehun wasn’t sure what it was. It wasn’t anything he’d smelled before, but he was pretty sure it wasn’t what Minseok and Baekhyun had told them about from when they first met their--
Sehun rounded the corner, eyes landing on a tall girl standing with her back to him. Everything froze as he just stared, unable to peel his eyes away.
But then you turned around, sensing that same strange presence behind you. Your golden eyes zeroed in on this tall wolf in black jeans and a blue button-up with sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He was staring at you like he was seeing the world for the first time, and you were sure you were giving him the same look.
You had imprinted on each other, and the whole room was full of werewolves who knew exactly what was happening, smirks on their faces.
Sehun wasn’t sure what to do next. Did he say hello? Introduce himself? Say something smooth like compliment your appearance?
Instead, what came out of his mouth was a question.
“S-so...wha-what do you want?”
‘So smooth, Sehun. So very smooth.’
You let out a laugh that seemed to break the tension in the room, shaking your head.
“They’re here for our help, lover boy,” Minseok told him with a teasing tone. “Sit down.”
Sehun frowned at being told what to do again, but he took a seat on the couch by Chanyeol, looking across the room where the pack you belonged to continued to stand before his pack. You and who he assumed was your alpha -- some tall guy who definitely looked like he could take on like, three werewolves at once in his human form -- stood in front of the rest of your pack.
“Should we have the girls down here for this?” Yixing wondered, recalling how Junmyeon had Minseok bring them upstairs when he sensed that strange wolves had shown up at their doorstep.
The alpha just shook his head, “The less they have to worry about, the better. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.”
Kyungsoo looked back at the new pack, “Now that everybody’s here, you should explain what happened again.”
To Sehun’s surprise, instead of the alpha speaking, you did.
“The werewolf hunters have been after us since we’re a smaller pack. They already cornered Ataru, and he was lucky only two of them were there. He barely escaped before he was seriously injured. We know they’ve been following us and keeping tabs, so we made sure the coast was clear before we came here.”
That explained why it was so late at night, Sehun figured.
“But we don’t have any way to defend ourselves,” you continued. “We have nine, and while they have eight, those numbers are still too close for comfort. We’re still pretty easy targets and they know that. They’re going to come after us until they finally get us and kill all of us. We need help to scare them away at least.”
“We don’t expect you to kill any of them for us or anything,” the man clarified.
“So you’re leading them to us?” Baekhyun asked.
“No,” you quickly told him, “we made sure they weren’t watching us when we left.”
“We did surveillance!” the two boys that looked virtually identical grinned at the same time.
Most of Junmyeon’s pack eyed them, giving them odd looks before looking back to you and Olan.
“If we do help,” Junmyeon began, making sure to put plenty of emphasis on the first word, “we’ll need time to come up with a plan.”
“Well, we have limited time,” Olan spoke up beside you. “We don’t know when they’ll come after us again. We just recently got a new member of our pack, and we know they’ll more than likely target him since he’s still young.”
You already knew Chansol was frowning somewhere behind you. He hated feeling like he was being babied or spoken of like he was a baby.
“Why don’t we just go confront them?” Sehun suggested, shrugging like the idea of going up against eight werewolf hunters was nothing. “Together, there’s way more of us than them.”
His pack exploded with comments of how crazy that idea was and how they would just get injured or worse. They needed a plan, and Sehun must’ve been dumb to think they could just go without a plan of attack. But Junmyeon hushed them before speaking up himself.
“We can’t just go in there and start a war we’re unprepared for,” the alpha explained. “Even if we only have a limited amount of time, we need to think of a plan. For now..._____, why don’t you and your pack stay here? It isn’t safe for all of you to go home this late at night, and we can start planning first thing in the morning.”
“Hyung, can we fit everybody...?” Jongdae wondered.
“If we put multiple people in a room, then yes,” Junmyeon answered in a tone that said his decision was final. “Plus, we have the living room.”
“I already know who Sehunnie’s rooming with,” Baekhyun giggled.
Your eyes met Sehun’s again, only to see his cheeks were a soft shade of pink. You smiled to yourself, deciding your mate was absolutely adorable.
-
“So...what’s your name?” Sehun asked when it was just the two of you in his bedroom.
While he seemed nervous, you weren’t that nervous about it. He could also tell you weren’t nervous as you walked around his room, slowly taking everything in and gathering as much information about your mate as you could. He just watched you from his desk chair.
“_____; _____ _____,” you told him, your golden eyes not leaving the few framed pictures he had on a shelf bolted to his wall. “What about you? Tell me about yourself?”
“Aren’t you gathering data on me right now? You look like your scanning my walls like a computer,” he chuckled.
You smirked, turning to face him, “That’s what I look like?”
“A little,” he shrugged. “Well, my name’s Oh Sehun, I’m 25, and I’m the youngest in my pack.”
“Aw,” you cooed, “you’re the puppy!”
He automatically began to sulk, “Don’t you start, too.”
You laughed at your mate, going to sit on his bed, “If it helps, about half my pack is younger than you.”
Sehun smirked, “Does that include you?”
Finally, he wouldn’t have to be bossed around by somebody. Not that he would use the opportunity to boss you around, but he definitely was happy you couldn’t do it to him.
But your words had the smirk falling right off his face.
“But I’m the alpha of my pack.”
Alpha? A female alpha? Those existed? Not that there was a problem with it, he was just...well, surprised. He didn’t realize that the aura of authority he was catching onto was coming from you and not the large werewolf beside you.
He let out a groan, letting his head fall back, realizing this meant you could, in fact, boss him around as much as you wanted. And the kicker was that he would have to listen. You were a higher rank than him. Much higher.
From a few of the rooms down the hall, you could hear loud laughter. Even downstairs, some members of his pack were snorting in amusement.
Baekhyun’s voice was loud and clear as he giggled, “Sehun’s still the baby!”
-
Meeting your mate wasn’t like starting a new relationship. You mostly skipped all the awkwardness and all the shyness of a new relationship. Both of you were werewolves, so you already felt that love and comfortableness around each other. So sleeping in Sehun’s bed with him was like sleeping beside somebody you’d been dating for a year already. It felt normal and comfortable and just nice.
But living with Sehun’s pack was another story.
They were louder than your pack, and that was coming from an alpha who had to deal with identical twins. You weren’t sure if Baekhyun, Chanyeol, or the loud-mouthed girl that you could hear in the kitchen were the loudest, but the three of them made it impossible to sleep any longer.
“Do they ever shut up?” you groaned, trying to push your face farther into the pillows.
You knew Sehun was awake too because he whined and rolled over, covering his face with the blanket.
“No,” he sighed.
But then the twins joined in, and it was like a chaotic Hell had opened just for you.
“Do they ever shut up?” your mate countered.
So the two of you finally got up and emerged from his room, both of you still in the clothes you slept in -- he was just in sweatpants while you only wore one of his t-shirts and figured anybody who stared at you could just get a kick in the teeth. You led the way downstairs with Sehun following begrudgingly behind you because he was still tired. The noise got louder as you approached the kitchen, and you saw the twins joking around loudly with a few of Sehun’s pack mates while they made breakfast. Olan was sitting at the table with Junmyeon and Kyungsoo, Samuri was befriending Yixing, and the others must’ve been off somewhere else. You doubted they were sleeping, but if they were, they were lucky.
“_____!” Airou grinned when he noticed you enter. “Do you want souffle pancakes?”
“You only make souffle pancakes when you want to show off,” you grumbled, rubbing sleep out of your eyes.
“Yeah, exactly!” Ataru giggled.
Minseok seemed to be helping them, and Kyungsoo was observing from the table. You could see that Chanyeol was trying to help, but his souffle pancake had completely fallen apart, along with his smile. Baekhyun just stuck to making fun of the taller wolf for messing up.
“So,” Baekhyun smirked as he looked at yours and Sehun’s appearances, “what did you two get up to last night.”
“Sleeping,” Sehun stated before taking a seat at the table with Olan, Junmyeon, and Kyungsoo.
“You would’ve heard if they did anything else,” Minseok scoffed.
“I’m so glad I’m not a werewolf,” the girl beside Baekhyun mumbled. She didn’t seem to be in the best mood, but you weren’t sure why.
You took a seat across from Sehun and beside Olan.
“I hope you slept okay,” Junmyeon smiled softly.
“Until the twins woke me up,” you sighed. “I’m sorry that they’re so loud. They’re...excitable.”
“I think they word you’re looking for is annoying, _____,” Olan corrected with a chuckle.
“We might be louder,” Kyungsoo deadpanned, looking at you with a serious face as he focused more on the conversation than the cooking.
“We deal with chaos all the time,” Junmyeon reassured you. “Ataru and Airou are nothing, there’s no need to apologize.”
“Since _____’s awake, should we start planning then?” Olan asked.
“I still say we just go after them,” Sehun shrugged. “There’s a lot more of us than there are them.”
“No,” you and Junmyeon both said at the same time, making your mate frown.
“After thinking it over last night,” Junmyeon began, “I realized they might just lose track of you if you’re not where they expect you to be. The odds that they simply move on instead of tracking you are about 50/50, so maybe it’s best to relocate nearby. Not only would you be closer to another pack which would intimidate the hunters, but you’d be closer to Sehun.”
“There’s still the 50% chance that they track them down anyway,” Sehun pointed out.
“But then they’ll realize there’s another pack nearby,” Kyungsoo spoke up. “It would be dangerous and stupid for them to pursue the pack anyway.”
“But--”
“We shouldn’t go after them, Sehun,” you stated, finality in your tone that not only made him shut up, but made him grumpy. “It’s better if we stay away and stay safe.”
But he knew that safety would only last for so long.
-
It wasn’t that he was going against you because you were a girl. Sehun didn’t care what gender you were. He went against you for two reasons: he wanted to keep you safe as his mate, and he didn’t like that you were younger than him and still had more power than him. It made him want to prove that he could hold his own and make decisions.
Of course, his own decisions he made were bad, and you soon felt that he was in danger. It was in your instincts to know when your mate was in trouble. You sat up straight, yellow eyes going wide before they turned red.
“What?” Hanjae asked seeing how you were suddenly on high alert.
“Sehun,” you replied, pushing yourself off the couch and running for the door.
“What about Sehun?” Jongdae inquired as both packs followed after you.
You ignored him, calling for your pack to follow you, but Yixing put a hand on your shoulder to stop you from leaving.
“He’s in our pack, so we should go find him with you,” he decided since Junmyeon and Minseok weren’t home.
“But I’m more comfortable going with my pack,” you insisted, shrugging out from under his hand.
“But he’s our brother,” Jongdae countered.
“There’s more of us,” Olan pointed out.
“We don’t have time to argue over this!” you groaned before you just bolted out the door, not caring if anybody went with you. You had to save Sehun before it was too late.
“We’ll both go, then,” Baekhyun shrugged with an almost teasing grin before he slid past Yixing and out the door after you.
And then the rest of them followed.
-
It took all of three days after both alphas warned Sehun to not go looking for the hunters for him to go looking for the hunters. He had to be sneaky when he tried to track down their headquarters, but he knew he couldn’t waltz in their on his own, so he had to wait to catch one of them alone. That was the tricky part.
Or so he thought.
He had gone out a day prior with his friend, Johnny, and explained his situation. He had finally imprinted, but it was on the alpha of another pack, and you were being tracked by werewolf hunters.
“Hunters?” Johnny asked. “How many of them?”
“Apparently seven boys and a girl.”
“Okay, this is going to sound really weird, but Taeyong’s mate is the girl.”
Sehun didn’t understand how Johnny’s alpha imprinted on a werewolf hunter, but he wasn’t going to question it. He had other things to worry about.
“Can he tell me where she is?”
And that was how he ended up brought down to his knees by the werewolf hunter in front of him. He didn’t plan on attacking her if she was Taeyong’s mate, but she clearly didn’t want to just talk or anything if the gun pointed to his head was any indication. But the way he saw it, at least it was him not you, and he wouldn’t have to deal with the embarrassment that he actually couldn’t do this on his own and try to protect you instead of the other way around.
In hindsight, it was kind of stupid. Sehun didn’t care if he was babied by his pack, but he didn’t want to be babied by his own mate, too. You were younger than him, and he wanted to be able to prove that he could be stronger than you, but he wasn’t. All he did was prove that you were right, and that he deserved to be babied.
All he could do was stare up at the girl he learned was named Kimi as the binds on his wrists behind him burned into his skin. His teeth were clenched, but he refused to cry out from the searing pain the silver caused him. If he was going to go out, he was going to be as brave as he could be -- and he refused to give the hunter the satisfaction of knowing she was causing him pain and scaring the shit out of him.
“I have to say, you might be the dumbest werewolf I’ve run into,” she chuckled. “Coming to find me, saying you ‘just wanna talk’. God, it really doesn’t get easier or dumber than that.”
Sehun stayed silent, biting his tongue to keep from making noise because of the pain in his wrists. He just stared up at the hunter, the gun held to his head in his peripherals.
He saw more people appear out of the forest. One of them was tall and had a kind-looking face, but the aura he exuded was anything but. When he smiled, dimples showed prominently, only enhancing the innocence his appearance held.
“Nice job, Kimi,” he commented.
She shrugged, not looking away from Sehun, “It was nothing -- really.”
Sehun had no idea she had called for backup from her group. The seven men had all walked out and joined her, standing a few feet behind her.
Now he really hoped you didn’t show up in time to save him. You’d surely end up in the same position he was in.
“Maybe if we wait, his pack will show up and we’ll have even more of them,” one of the men commented with a slight smirk.
“There’s no way he has a pack if he showed up on his own,” Kimi commented, his expression bored as she looked down at Sehun, studying him like he wanted to remember him even after he was dead.
One of the men looked off slightly to his right, “I wouldn’t speak so soon. More of them are close by.”
A blonde one sighed before pulling out a gun and cocking it, “Yeah, we can handle it.”
‘Please don’t come, please don’t come, please don’t come,’ was all Sehun could think as he eyed the gun in the short blonde’s hand.
But it wasn’t long until he caught your scent and knew you were nearby, and he closed his eyes. There wasn’t anything he could do to prevent what he knew would happen. He couldn’t even save himself, let alone anybody else.
In front of him, the seven men reached for their weapons and aimed them toward where the two packs were coming from. They saw a werewolf that was a little smaller than most wolves they’d seen.
“Is that a female?” one of them asked quietly.
Sehun cursed internally.
You weren’t the only one who had shifted. Baekhyun, Jongdae, the twins, Samuri, and Chansol had shifted as well. None of you knew if there would be a fight, and it might be better to have a few large wolves on your side. But seeing the reaction from some of the hunters, you knew that just seeing the amount of you there -- even if all of Junmyeon’s pack weren’t there yet -- was making them doubt themselves.
Your group approached them slowly. You knew that they could shoot at any time, but then were standing still as they watched your every move, knowing any of you could run at them or pounce on them at any moment, too. It was like a weird stand-off as you slowly approached Sehun from behind him.
“We can’t take them all...” one of them mumbled.
“Yes we can,” another replied as he pulled out a second gun.
Your red eyes narrowed as you stared down the girl that was holding a gun to your mate’s head. You let out a low growl involuntarily, and all guns were suddenly pointed at you.
While Olan didn’t have any power over you whatsoever, he held an arm out in front of you, trying to tell you not to do anything just yet.
Yixing stepped forward, acting as the stand-in alpha for Junmyeon’s pack, “It seems that you have one of ours. We clearly outnumber you, so if you just give him back, we’ll leave without any trouble.”
“What if we want trouble?” the girl smirked, looking away from Sehun.
“Then you’ll walk away with less people than you have now,” Olan spoke up, “considering any of you walk away.”
“Eight against thirteen doesn’t seem too balanced, does it?” Minjoon pointed out. “And considering we have six wolves, they may as well count as two or three people each. So eight against about twenty-seven -- give or take.”
You weren’t sure when you started having a stare-off with the girl holding her gun to your mate’s head. She seemed to be challenging you, her own eyes narrowed as she stood unwavering. You growled at her again, lowering your head and baring your teeth. But her response was to smirk.
“Don’t tell me your mate came to save you, wolf,” she scoffed as she nudged Sehun’s forehead with the end of the barrel of her gun. “Don’t tell me your bitch had to come rescue you.”
An involuntary growl bubble in Sehun’s chest, which was the only sound he had made since getting captured. She seemed to love that she finally got a reaction from him.
“So let’s say I happened to kill him,” she said, looking at you now as her gun clicked, signaling it was ready to fire, “what would you do? because I’d love to see what happens.”
You were ready to jump on her. You were so ready to rip out her throat and rip her into pieces. But you also knew in the back of your mind that as soon as you went at her, she would shoot Sehun in that instant.
She would shoot Sehun either way. You couldn’t win.
“Do you always have to make trouble for yourself, Kimberly?” a new female voice spoke up.
The girl looked very similar to the one standing in front of Sehun, so you had no doubt they were related. But this girl seemed more relaxed, and she had a slight smile on her face that was not nearly as menacing as the smirk the other girl wore.
The men seemed to look at this new girl with disdain. One of them stood up straighter and glared at her.
“What are you doing back, Kat?” he demanded.
“I go by Kacey now,” she replied coolly as she walked right up to where Sehun was knelt down. “I wanted to get rid of everything that was associated with you murderers.”
The man just rolled his eyes.
“We don’t want anything to do with a traitor, either,” Kimi sneered.
“Is that any way to speak to your older sister?” the girl apparently called Kacey asked as she booped her sister’s nose. Kimi scrunched up her face and took a step back which made Kacey chuckle. “You haven’t changed a bit. Explains why you’re trying to take on two packs of werewolves when there’s only eight of you.”
“Two?” one of the men repeated.
Kacey sighed, gesturing behind her to you and the group, “Anybody could tell that the girl is the alpha of most of them. You’re really falling apart without me, huh?
“Anyway,” she moved on from the subject as she crouched down and began to undo the binds on Sehun’s wrists. But you still could faintly sense werewolf hunter on her, so you watched her carefully, even when she stood with the silver binds in one hand and helped Sehun to his feet with the other, moving in front of him despite being shorter than him, “I suggest you all take their offer. If you intentionally anger his mate, I assume she’ll kill at least three of you within five minutes -- at most: all of you.”
“Don’t release my captives,” Kimi growled, stepping closer to her sister -- and closer to Sehun.
You took a step forward, causing pairs of eyes to flash over to you. Both Olan and Yixing stood in front of you just to at least attempt to keep you back and from making this a fight when it didn’t have to be.
“Then don’t pick fights you know you can’t win,” Kacey countered with a smile. “I’ll see you around, kid.”
She turned around, turning Sehun around and keeping a hand on his back as she led him away. But with her back turned, Kimi raised her gun again and aimed, prepared to fire. You let out a roar, tensing to jump in front of her line of sight, but somebody was much faster than you.
Kacey took out her own gun and turned around, shooting straight at Kimi’s gun and shooting it out of her hand like it was nothing. You weren’t sure how she could even aim that fast or that precisely. You’d never met any kind of hunter like her, but you weren’t even sure if she was a hunter because she was helping you.
“Don’t test me,” Kacey stated, her voice cold like ice. “Go home, Kimi.”
Then she carried on, leading Sehun back to your pack, and nodding with her head to leave the way you’d come. And she even escorted you back.
As Sehun got closer, he refused to look up and meet eyes with you. In fact, everybody was completely silent as you walked back the way you’d come, going through the forest until you’d reached the cars that were parked on the side of the road.
You and the other wolves hung back to shift in the woods so nobody would see while the rest of them continued to the cars. Olan and Yixing both expressed their gratitude to Kacey for helping them, and Yixing even went on to invite her back to meet Junmyeon because he knew their alpha would want to thank her properly, too.
Sehun walked over to one of the cars with Kyungsoo.
“Hyung’s going to be so mad at me...” he sighed.
Kyungsoo chuckled as he opened one of the doors on the other side, “I don’t think it’s Junmyeon that you have to worry about.”
Sehun didn’t even have to turn around to know you were looking at him. In fact, your eyes were burning a hole in his back. And that alone was far more terrifying than anything his alpha would do to him.
-
While Sehun was in trouble, you were terrified. Actually, terrified didn’t even cover the panic and worry you felt that something awful would happen to him. But now that you knew he was safe, you were angry. You were angry that he went behind your back and did what you specifically told him not to do and that he recklessly got himself into a life or death situation. You wanted to hug him and kiss him, and whack him in the back of the head at the same time.
You were incredibly grateful to Kacey for saving Sehun and managing to avoid a fight, but you were more focused on lecturing Sehun as soon as you got into the house than thanking her. You could do that when you were less heated.
“Sehun!” you barked when he tried to go to the living room with everybody else instead of following you up to his room. He dropped his head and went to you, knowing he was really in for it. When he closed the door, you immediately went off on him. “What the fuck were you thinking?! Both Junmyeon and I told you not to go after them, but you did anyway! You went against me and you went against your own alpha! You almost died, Sehun! What the fuck were we supposed to do if you died, huh?!”
“I’m sorry,” he whimpered, finally looking up and meeting your eyes. He was surprised to see that despite how angry you sounded, your red eyes were filled with tears, a few escaping down your cheeks. “Oh no, _____, please don’t start crying.”
“What else am I supposed to do? You almost died! I thought you were going to die!”
He frowned, going over to you and cupping your cheeks, wiping your tears away with his thumbs, “_____, I really am sorry. I did it for a stupid reason, and I shouldn’t have, and I’m sorry. I learned my lesson. I’m not able to protect you, let alone myself.”
Your expression changed slightly from pure anger to confused, “Protect me?”
He sighed, looking away but still holding your face, mumbling, “It’s really stupid...”
You stayed silent, looking at him unexpectedly. Knowing you wanted an answer and he wouldn’t get out of answering, he sighed and pulled you to his chest so you at least couldn’t look at him when he answered. But you were fine with it because at least you knew he was safe when you had your arms wrapped around his waist.
“You’re younger than me, but you’re so much stronger than I am as an alpha. I wanted to prove that I could be stronger. I wanted to protect you so you would look up at me instead of looking down at me because I’m just the pup of my pack.”
You pushed away from him just enough to look up at him, “Sehun, I don’t look down at you. I don’t look down at anybody.”
He looked at you, still frowning, “I don’t want you to see me as a baby like my pack does.”
“I don’t,” you insisted, reaching up to gently stroke is face. Sehun leaned into your warm touch, a soft rumble vibrating in his chest. “Just because I’m an alpha doesn’t mean I’ll see you as weaker or incapable. You’re not any less of a werewolf.”
Sehun’s eyebrows furrowed as he suddenly stood straight up again, “You’re babying me right now!”
You chuckled, “You’re acting like a baby.”
“Am not,” he huffed.
“Alright, then I won’t baby you,” you promised as you let go of him and stepped away. “Take care of your own wounds, big boy.”
As you walked past him toward the door, he turned and whined, “Waaaait.”
“Yes?” you smirked as you turned back around.
“You’re not going to help me?” he pouted.
Unable to resist his cute expression, you playfully rolled your eyes, “Come to the bathroom, you big baby.”
He followed behind you down the hall to the bathroom, grumbling, “I’ll prove I’m tougher than you one day. You’re still younger and shorter than me.”
“You keep thinking that,” you nodded. “Junmyeon’s also shorter than you, but I’m sure he’ll lay you out as soon as he comes home.”
And as if on cue, the front door slammed shut before you heard Junmyeon growl, “Sehun!”
You looked back at your mate over your shoulder, giggling, “Good luck, tough guy.”

Of Robots and Rocketships: Chapter 2
For @platonicvldweek day 2: Lion / Lamb
Chapter 1
Read it on Ao3 | Read it on FFN
It was Katie who texted first.
Two days after the competition (two days of Hunk not wanting to be the first one to say anything cuz would that be seen as too clingy??) his phone went off.
Katie: hey! how’ve you been? dad said he was sorry he missed you
A thousand thoughts were running through his head. He stared at the message for a long time, mentally dissecting it, trying to think of how best to respond.
The last part especially stuck out to him, since it implied two very important things: firstly, that Katie (and Matt?) had told their dad about him--and secondly, that Dr Holt actually wanted to meet him.
Hunk took a deep breath, quelling his thoughts, before starting to type out a response.
Hunk: Hi! I’ve been pretty good, you? And I’m sorry your dad couldn’t make it too; maybe next time?
Okay. That was good, right? Open, friendly, not too eager—
He was taking this too seriously.
He flopped over backwards onto his bed with a groan. Why was this so hard?
Katie: unfortunately ‘next time’ isnt until next year unless youre going to robocup
Hunk: I don’t think so :/
Katie: boo
They went on like that a little longer, making small talk about the little things, the things they already knew about each other. After about half an hour, the conversation dwindled to a stop. And it was days before it was picked up again.
It started that way at first: brief conversations, making general small talk, testing the waters. As the months went by, they got more and more comfortable with each other; by the time winter melted into spring came around, they were texting nearly every day, about the smallest things.
Katie: what about ur dad?
Hunk: Oh actually I don’t have one
Katie: oh shoot im sorry
Hunk: No that’s not what I meant XD I don’t have a dad cuz I have two moms
Katie: OH
“So who’s Katie?”
Hunk glanced up at his mom in surprise. “What?”
She gestured towards his phone, which was sitting on the table a foot away from him while he read. “You got a text message, sweetie.”
Hunk lunged for his phone, opening the message in a rush.
Katie: random question: star wars or star trek?
“It’s that girl he met at the competition back in Flagstaff,” Mama called from the next room.
“Phoenix,” Hunk corrected offhandedly. “Flagstaff is where her school was from.”
Hunk: Aw come on, you can’t make me choose!
Katie: help me win an argument against my brother
Katie: help me obi wan kenobi youre my only hope
“Oh, you made a friend?” Mom continued. “That’s great! What’s she like?”
“Um,” Hunk mumbled, still distracted. “Well, she likes peanut butter. And peanut butter cookies? But not peanuts, she says they’re too dry.”
Hunk: I’m sorry Katie, I’m going to have to go with Star Trek. The tribbles episode owns my soul
Katie: I CANT BELIEVE THIS
“Oh!” Hunk added with a smile, setting his phone down and giving his mom a starry-eyed look. “And you’ll never guess who her dad is!”
Hunk: So...what’s up?
Katie: i am eating peanut butter by the spoonful and i couldnt be happier
Hunk: Sounds like a day well spent :P
Mid-February, Katie was in class, her phone in her lap hidden under her desk. She and Hunk only had an hour difference in time zones, but that still lead to schedule conflicts. Hunk had texted her when he got out for lunch; Katie, and hour later, was already back in class after her own lunch break.
But that didn’t stop her from continuing the conversation.
(It’s not like Mr Hedrick was teaching anything new, anyways.)
Hunk: I’ve actually been looking into the garrison application process. I’ve been wanting to go there for ages and I’ll finally be old enough this fall
Katie: !!!!!!!!!
Katie: DUDE YOU TOTALLY SHOULD
Hunk: I want to!! But the application is pretty intensive
Katie: aw come on i know you can do it
Hunk: Thanks ^_^
Hunk: What about you, are you you applying?
Katie: still too young *eyeroll* its still a few more years till i turn 16
Hunk: What??
Katie: dude im like 12
Katie: i turn 13 in april
It was a couple minutes before he responded, and Katie bit her tongue to keep herself from laughing out loud in the middle of class.
Hunk: But you’re in high school?
Hunk: I’ll be honest here, I thought we were the same age O.O
Katie: yeah i skipped 7th and 8th grade
Hunk: :O
Hunk: You’re like a little child genius or something
She stifled another laugh with a cough. She glanced up to make sure that the teacher hadn’t looked over, then went right back to her phone.
Katie: yeah thats what they told me
Katie: probably explains why this class is so fucking boring
Hunk: LANGUAGE
Hunk: Wait are you in class right now??
Katie: ....quite possibly
Hunk: Get off your phone, young lady, and pay attention!!
Katie: but i already know all thiiissssss
Hunk: Respect your elders
Katie: booooooo
Hunk: (•̀o•́)ง
Katie: omg you nerd
Katie: fiiiiine
Hunk: I’ll talk to you once you get home from school ^_^ ♥
She smiled down at her phone screen before closing out of the messages app. Part of her was tempted to just pull up something else—a book, or the web browser—but she stopped herself with a sigh. She turned off the phone, stuffing it into her back pocket.
Later.
Hunk: I just thought you were really short, I didn’t realize you were a BABY
Katie: i hate u
The Garrison application process was even more daunting when he was actually filling it out. In the past, when he would look it up online to mentally prepare himself for the day when he’d finally get to fill it out, it all seemed so easy.
But now, he was starting to think he was biting off more than he could chew.
Between the GPA requirements, the essay, the mechanical skills project, the letters of recommendation, the other essay, the entrance exam, the preliminary engineering classes—
It was a lot.
And it was especially a lot when he had to juggle all that in addition to his regular schoolwork. Hunk glared at the pre-calc textbook open on his desk until the numbers all swam together.
He groaned, slamming the book shut and leaning back in his chair.
His phone vibrated, and he reached for it blindly.
Katie: maybe a rover-type probe? like what you guys did for the comp. that was pretty good
Hunk let out a long slow exhale. The physical project was causing him the most trouble at the moment, having to prove his engineering prowess by building something all on his own. It was arguably the most important part of the application, and Hunk had no clue what to do for it.
Hunk: Yeah but if I’m going to get into the garrison then my project needs to be more than just GOOD
Katie: how about a robotic turtle
Hunk: ...why?
Katie: why not
Hunk: I can probably think of a few reasons
Katie: turtles are cool bro
Hunk: Fair enough
A weary smile had managed to break through his look of frustration. Hunk glanced back at the pre-calc book, then sighed again as he slowly opened it back up.
One thing at a time.
Katie: bro u should go to bed its 1am
Hunk: Which means it’s 2am for you, right?
Katie: yeaahhh but i drank coffee mixed with redbull a couple hours ago im good
Hunk: KATIE NO
Matt and Sam made a point to come home on the weekends, and it was an occasion that Katie relished in.
She spent her days in Matt’s room, lying on his bed and keeping him company while he worked at his desk. She had her phone open to the messages app, idly relaying her conversation with Hunk to her brother.
“Yeah, Hunk has been working on his application for the Garrison.”
“Really?” Matt asked, spinning in his office chair. “That’s awesome!”
“Yeah, he’s going in for engineering,” she continued. “I’m really excited for him.”
“Does he need a letter of rec?”
“Um, lemme ask,” she replied, already typing.
Katie: matt wants to know if u need a letter of rec
It was a bit before he responded, and she watched the typing bubble appear, then disappear, then appear again. She smirked.
Hunk: Oh my god
Hunk: We only met once, does he know me well enough?
Katie rolled her eyes, reading the message out loud to Matt.
“Psh, ‘course I do,” Matt said flippantly. “I got to see his work back at the competition, and that’s the most important part, if I’m being honest.”
Katie: dude. you guys talked for ages about engineering crap
Hunk: Oh gosh. I don’t want to inconvenience him at all.
“He says he doesn’t want to inconvenience you.”
Matt let out a long groan. “Oh come on, I’m already writing them for Alec and Luca, what’s one more? I like Hunk.” He paused, thinking. “Here, ya know what, give me the phone.” He grabbed the phone from Katie’s hands without waiting for her response.
“Hey,” she protested, but Matt merely shushed her and continued to type away.
“There,” Matt said with a smirk as he hit send. A minute later, the phone vibrated, and Matt cackled, already typing a response.
“What did you say?!” Katie demanded, lunging for the phone.
Matt easily evaded her reach. “You’ll see,” he said cryptically. “But I think I’ve gotten through to him.”
When the phone went off again, Matt let out a cheer. “Alright,” he said triumphantly, tossing the phone back to Katie. “We are a go!”
Hunk: Happy birthday!!! (^▽^)
Katie: im officially a teenager bitch!!
Hunk: LANGUAGE!
Hunk: Jeez Katie you’re a little baby, you shouldn’t be saying stuff like that, you’re practically an infant!!
Katie: fuck
Hunk: /_(0{}0)_\
It was the middle of dinner when her phone went off.
“Katie,” her mom scolded as the girl grabbed at her phone and opened the message.
Katie ignored her, waving her hand impatiently. “Shh, it’s important!”
“Katherine, what could possibly—”
Colleen was interrupted by Katie’s sudden squeak of excitement. “He got in!!!” she squealed.
“Hunk?” Matt asked, beaming. “That’s great!”
Across the table, Sam’s eyes had lit up. “Fantastic!” he proclaimed. “Tell him congratulations for me,” he said. “I look forward to working with him.”
“Careful,” Katie warned, already typing. “You’re gonna break him.”
Katie: dad says hes looking forward to working with you. he and matt wish you congratulations
Hunk: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hunk: Thank you!!!!!!!! \(≧▽≦)/
Katie: hunk.exe has stopped working
It was summer when the Galaxy Garrison officially announced the Kerberos mission, naming the daring crew of astronauts who’d be going on the shuttle, and setting a predicted launch date in September.
The announcement made every headline imaginable, national and international news, NASA, a blurb in Katie’s high school’s newsletter, and just about every online publication in existence.
Katie was doing her homework at time, her phone stashed at the bottom of her backpack. With her headphones in, she didn’t hear it vibrating, too engrossed in her chemistry work.
She had ten new messages by the time she closed her textbook and fished out her phone.
Hunk: DUDE!!!!!
Hunk: I JUST SAW THE NEWS
Hunk: KERBEROS??? THAT’S SO COOL!!!
Hunk: THIS IS SO COOL
Hunk: That’s literally BILLIONS OF MILES AWAY
Hunk: And IT’S A MANNED MISSION
Hunk: THE FARTHEST MANNED MISSION FROM EARTH
Hunk: THIS IS HISTORY IN THE MAKING OH MY GOD
Hunk: I CAN’T BELIEVE YOUR DAD AND YOUR BROTHER ARE GOING TO PLUTO THIS IS SO COOL
Hunk: Sorry for spamming I’m just REALLY EXCITED
She laughed, carrying her phone and her laptop onto her bed where she could stretch out more comfortably. She flopped over onto her back, holding the phone above her face.
Katie: oh did that get announced today???
Katie: theyve been planning for months im so jealous
Hunk: Aaaaaaa this is all so exciting!
Hunk: I’m just
Hunk: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Katie: same
Katie: kerberos must be so cool
Katie: hunk lets go to outer space
Hunk: Let’s do it
Garrison cadet move-in day was in mid-August.
She got his room assignment from her dad. He’d been more than happy to check the student records for her and send her a quick message with the hall name, floor, and room number.
Katie, not even 13-and-a-half, much too young to be one of the students moving in today, walked confidently down the halls, weaving in and out of parents and students.
Presently, she heard his voice up ahead, coming out of one of the many open door. An excited grin spreading across her face, she ran the last few yards to his room. Bracing her hands on the doorframe, she stuck her head into the room, shouting, “Surprise!”
Inside the room, Hunk yelped as he whirled around in shock. As soon as he caught sight of her, his guard dropped and he broke into a smile. “Katie!” He tackled her in a bear hug, lifting her off the ground.
Katie laughed. “It’s so good to see you again!”
“What are you doing here? Wait, no, stupid question.”
She giggled. “I came in with Dad and Matt. They went to do professional officey things, like boring adult paperwork or whatever.”
“Ah, the worst part of adulthood,” Hunk said, nodding sagely. “Don’t worry, Katie, you’ll understand when you’re older.”
She elbowed him. “Shut up.”
He laughed for a moment, and Katie realized that he wasn’t the only one in the room. Standing bemusedly by the closet was a woman who looked so much like Hunk she could only be his mother. She had a gentle smile on her face as she watched the two of them.
Hunk followed Katie’s gaze, and his eyes widened. “Oh, this is my mom,” he said, gesturing to the woman. “Or, well, you know. One of them.”
“Hi,” Katie said, holding out her hand. “It’s nice to meet you, Mrs Garrett.”
“Please, call me Lani,” the woman said, shaking Katie’s hand. “It’s lovely to finally meet you, Katie. Hunk has told me so much about you.”
“Good things, I hope,” Katie said, casting a dry glance at Hunk. He stuck his tongue out at her, and she stuck out hers at him.
“Only the best,” Lani reassured her with a wink.
“So how have you been?” Hunk asked. “It’s so good to see you! We should, like, hang out at some point and catch up.”
“Oh!” Katie interjected. “Mom told me to invite you guys over for dinner,” she added.
Hunk gasped, and Katie could have sworn she saw stars in his eyes. “Seriously?”
“Yes, seriously,” she echoed. “Please?”
“Yes! Absolutely!” Hunk cried. He looked over to his mom. “Right? That’s okay?”
Lani smiled at her son widely. “Of course, sweetie. I’ll go find Kiana.” She squeezed Katie on the shoulder as she walked past her to head out of the room.
“Dinner,” Hunk breathed. “With Doctor Samuel Holt.”
She snorted. “I promise you, he’s a normal person. Just kind of a nerd. But hey, I mean, so are you.”
He rolled his eyes. “Thanks, Katie.”
Hunk: The Kerberos launch is only a couple weeks away, omg
Katie: i knowww im so jealous
Katie: i might just stowaway on the shuttle tbh
Hunk: That sounds potentially life-threatening, please do not
Hunk watched the Kerberos launch live on TV.
They’d only allowed family to watch from the ground, and though Katie had offered to try to sneak him in, he’d declined. Instead, he watched it on the massive projection screen that the Garrison had set up for students.
In some of the camera shots, he could make out the tiny purple-clad figure of Katie on the observation deck, standing beside her mother.
“This truly is a momentous day in human history,” the newscaster was saying. “If successful, the Kerberos Mission will mark the farthest that anyone has traveled from Earth. We’re making history here, folks.”
The launch was glorious. With a blast of fire and a cloud of smoke, the shuttle took off, the cameras trained on it all the way out of the atmosphere, until it was just a tiny speck against the blue of the sky. The crowd gathered in the Garrison commons room let out a cheer. Hunk’s roommate, an aspiring pilot named Lance, propped his elbow on Hunk’s shoulder.
“That’s gonna be us someday,” Lance told him with surprising conviction. “Seeing the stars, traveling to worlds never before seen.”
Hunk smiled. “I can’t wait.”
Hunk: Oh my god
Hunk: Katie I’m so sorry oh my god
Hunk: Are you okay?
Hunk: Sorry, stupid question
Hunk: Can I do anything to help?
Hunk: Katie?

homg i know u have like tons to work on but in the future pls considering writing this “Okay so when we were little I accidentally mentioned that I had a crush on you but I always thought you didn’t hear me because you just looked at me weird and never commented but now we’re in high school and omg you just introduced me as your boyfriend/date wtf we never discussed this!!!” for any pairing of ur choice i ship them all, seriously tho no rush bless
I’m sorry this took me ages again. I chose to do Junghope! I kind of changed things aroundbecause I had a bit of trouble weaving in their “little” years while making itsemi-realistic. So, instead of Kook accidentally mentioning his crush whilethey’re super young, he’s in high school already. Aaaaand, the “reveal” parttook a different turn than I expected. Hope you don’t mind!
Jungkook was content…at least he thought so. He had a goodhome and family, his grades were decent, and his precious Hoseok hyung wasalways by his side. They’ve been the best of friends since Jungkook was a babyin diapers and Hoseok just two years older than him while their motherschatted. Jungkook was always the quieter of the two, the introvert, which meanthe spent most of his time with the older and only him. It wasn’t surprisingthat he found his middle school self staring at high school Hoseok a second toolong, thinking about him whenever he wasn’t in his immediate perimeter, imaginingwhat it’d be like to kiss him.
Now that he was a high school freshman, it was hard not tojust explode and confess. Hoseok was pretty oblivious for the most part whichmade Jungkook’s job of hiding his growing crush that much easier but it alsomeant he let his guard down that much easier as well.
“Hyung, are you really that scared? This one is reallybadly made.” Hoseok had his face tucked into Jungkook’s side as the girl in thehorror movie opened the door. Movie nights were their tradition since they wereold enough to even understand movies and it was Jungkook’s turn to choose thistime.
“Yeah, says you Mr. I-can-beat-up-a-ghost.” Jungkook rolledhis eyes but smiled anyways, secretly enjoying the proximity of his hyung’sbody.
“You know I’d beat up any ghost if it threatened to hurtyou, Hoseokie.” He smiled, eyes crinkling in mirth.
“Yah! Just because I have a fear like normal people doesnot suddenly take away my hyung status. I demand respect you big baby.”
“Yes, yes hyung. Do you want me to call you Daddy whileyou’re at it?”
A millisecond after he says it, Jungkook knows he’d fuckedup. He had not meant to say that and has no idea why his mind thought ‘Daddy’was a good word to use. He’s horrified by the reality that those exact wordsjust came out of his mouth so casually (no, he hasn’t fantasized about Hoseokbeing Daddy thank you very much) and he can definitely feel his hyung frozenbeside him.
“I-I did not mean that. Oh my god…Oh. My. God. I’m so sorry.”He doesn’t know what else to say and buries his face in his hands but he’s surethe tips of his ears are burning in embarrassment.
Hoseok lets out a nervous laugh, “Yeah, no problem. Just ajoke…” He eyes Jungkook warily and the younger bemoans the sudden, possiblyirreversible, change in the atmosphere.
“Um, I just remembered my mom needs help with cookingtonight. You know, pot luck and all.” Before Jungkook can even reply, Hoseok isstanding up and puling his jacket on, heading out the door with a quick ‘bye’and just the sound of the door closing to accompany him. Jungkook groans andspends the rest of his night in fitful sleep.
The next few days, Hoseok pretends everything is normal andon the outside, they did seem normal.Jungkook knew better. He noticed the way the older didn’t immediately throw hisarm around his shoulder, the way he called him ‘Jungkook’ instead of ‘Kookie,’the way he cringed whenever Jungkook so much as look at him too long. Thislasts for a whole two months before the stress of junior year distracts forcesthe incident back into the depths of Hoseok’s mind and allow their relationshipto return to the original familiarity and comfort. For that, Jungkook isforever grateful for all the tests and projects even though they’re the causebehind the elder’s sleep-deprivation.
They hung out like normal, met each other after school towalk to either of their houses to relax or study, sat next to each other atlunch while sharing earbuds, it was just them again. And Jungkook thanked theheavens for fixing things.
Over the next few days, Hoseok started to seemuncomfortable again, but this time was different. He wasn’t uncomfortablearound Jungkook (in fact he lit up when they met) but something was definitelybothering him.
“Hyung,” Jungkook placed a gentle hand on Hoseok’s shoulderand the older jumped so hard he felt guilty for startling him, “Are you okay? You’re really twitchy lately.”
Hoseok tried to smile in an attempt to reassure him but itcame out looking more like a thinly concealed grimace. “I’m fine, Kookie-ah.”
“You know you can tell me right? I’ll help you anyway Ican.” He looked up at Hoseok in concern. He’d fight anyone that made hisprecious hyung frown more than he smiled.
“Of course, I’ll tell you if I need to. Don’t worry aboutme. Now come on, weren’t we going to get ice cream today?” Jungkook’s eyessparkled at the mention of the sweet treat and he wasted no time in draggingHoseok up and towards their favorite little ice cream shop.
Jungkook was swinging their intertwined hands togetherhappily. They’ve always been comfortable with this time of contact and paid nomind to it.
Jungkook was busy scanning the menu, trying to decide whichflavor to try this time (and what flavor to convince Hoseok to get so theycould share) when he felt a sudden squeeze to his hand.
He looked beside him in confusion, “Hoseokie?”  He followed Hoseok’s line of sight and landedon an intimidating looking male, taller than even Jungkook.
“Do you know him?” He noticed the other swallow harshly, eyes darting around, and after years of being so close with Hoseok let Jungkookrealize that these were signs of anxiousness and discomfort.
The man started to get closer to them and Hoseok’s grip onhis hand tightened even further.
“Hoseokie,” the boy’s voice was rough and mocking as hislips quirked into a smirk, “who’s this pretty boy here. Do you fuck himsometimes? Ah, does he think you’re good in bed?”
Hoseok’s eyebrows furrowed at that, anger lighting up inhis eyes. He was just about to open his mouth and finally give the other male apiece of his mind when he was interrupted again.
“Pretty boy,” Jungkook was still shell-shocked at theconfrontation but now the boy was looking at him, “Let me tell you somethingangel, I’m the one that taught your precious hyung all about fucking…firsthand. How about this, why don’t you leave my little newbie here and come withme. I’ll make you feel so good.” Jungkook’s eyes widened at the implication andhis fists balled, ready to fly but Hoseok’s hold on his wrist stopped him.
“Don’t you dare touch him. I will kill you if you eventhink about him in that way.” Hoseok’s voice was merely a low growl as thetendons in his arms strained.
“Oh and who are you to say that, Hoseokie?” Jungkook wantsto scream at him, shout that only he’s allowed to say ‘Hoseokie,’ that he hasno right to talk to his hyung like that.
Hoseok tugs Jungkook behind him protectively, a burningfury in his eyes, “He’s my boyfriend you fucker!” By now, everyone in thelittle shop had their attention on them.
A gasp was caught in his throat. Boyfriend. Hoseok had said boyfriend.
“Damn, such a pretty little thing he is too. He’d moan evenlouder than you did.” Hoseok let go of Jungkook’s wrist in favor of grabbingthe man by his shirt collar.
“Don’t touch him, I swear I will hunt you down. I don’tcare what you did to me before, but I will not. I will not! Let you hurt him.”
“You’re no fun anymore. Fine, I’ll let you keep your shinynew toy, but you can’t escape from what we had before.”
“We didn’t have anything, you piece of shit. Come onKookie, let’s go.” Before they got out the door, Jungkook flipped the man offsince he didn’t have the chance to beat him up.
Hoseok looked straight ahead as he tugged Jungkook along. He didn’t say anything, just kept walking until his steps stuttered to a halt.He dropped down to a crouch and buried his face in his hands.
“I’m sorry, Jungkookie, I’m so sorry you had to see that.”
Jungkook bent down next to him and put a gentle hand on hisshoulder, “You don’t have to tell me the details hyung, but I said I’d protectyou from anything right? You should’ve let me at him, I can fight!” Hoseoklaughed lightly, a hoarse sound.
“No Jungkook-ah, don’t do that.”
“Hyung?” Hoseok grunted in acknowledgement.
“Don’t freak out okay?”
“There’s nothing to freak out about now.”
“I’m serious.”
“Okay, I promise.”
“Hoseokie hyung, will you be my boyfriend?”
There was silence and Jungkook feared he had made a gravemistake, feared that he had taken Hoseok’s words during the heated exchange tooseriously.
“I’m sorry, pretend I never said that. It’s actually timefor me to go home. I-I’ll see you tomorrow hyung.” Jungkook turned aroundbefore the burning tears fell. He took a shuddering breath and took the firststep towards anywhere but where Hoseok was.
“Don’t go,” A warm hand curled around his wrist again,“Don’t go, I’m sorry I acted weird after that day. I promise it wasn’t youalright? I…had to fix some things before I could be beside you again.”
Jungkook’s breath hitched, a tendril of hope wrapping aroundhis heart, “Hyung…”
“I’ll be your boyfriend, Kook-ah, if you let me. I mademistakes but if you still want me after I tell you, I’ll stay.”
Jungkook let out a harsh breath, the weight lifting fromhis chest, “Yeah, I’d like that.”
“Hoseokie!” A heavy weight landed on top of the older maleas he lounged on the couch.
“Hey Kook, you’re happy today.”
“Yup! I beat Taetae hyung in Overwatch today!”
Hoseok planted a soft kiss on his forehead as a reward, “Youdid? I’m proud of you babe. Wanna go get ice cream to celebrate?”
Jungkook beamed at him, “Race you!”
