Trump is super mad about basically everything right now and is now telling Senators they can't go on vacation until his bill passes. (Which I don't think he has the right to do, but it's a sign of his blustering toddler despot energy right now). Republican Senators are complicit and/or little scared babies so none of them are telling him to fuck off like a grown ass adult should when spoken to like that.

Most of them do not like this bill but they are cowards. NONETHELESS. Keep calling them. Every day. Especially the ones up for re-election next year, and especially in tight races.

And just throw shit out and see what works. Joni Ernst now has a Dem veteran running against her specifically because she's so awful and he is very popular already. Nathan Sage? I think. Mention him.

Susan Collins is VERY aware of the several strong Dem challengers popping up now to challenge her. She keeps sort of waffling (on brand for her) about maybe not running next year.

Thom Tillis is so, so, so aware of how much those Medicaid cuts are going to devastate his state of North Carolina. Push that fucking button. (He printed out little handouts about it to hand out in the Senate as if the other Republican Senators care about his state or him.)

Rand Paul says he won't vote on it. Encourage that. Even if his reasons are not about compassion.

Lisa Murkowski claims to be a scared little bunny. And she might be. She opposes the cuts but might vote for them anyway (scared little bunny). Press her not to.

Ron Johnson claims it doesn't have a chance of passing but keep calling him anyway.

Stuff like that. Mike Lee is probably going to vote yes on the whole bill, but he was harassed into walking back his support for the sale of public lands (for now). (Though it helps that the Senate Parliamentarian threw it out first, I believe.)

Also mention that the House Republicans are begging the Senate the toss out or change certain provisions because they now regret voting for it (but want the Senate to do their jobs for them. Weak ass bitches.)

You could also potentially mention how LOW Trump's numbers are on every single issue. His hold is tenuous. If they wanted to, they could break it and be heroes. (I mean not really but depending on the person, flattery works.)

Oh. And some people have started calling it The Murder Bill.

You do not need to live in a Senator's state to call that senator, though they will likely listen more to someone who is and who makes that clear. But what you want to do is point to actions you are preparing to take if they vote yes. Such as supporting another candidate with actual action and money. They are hoping people will forget by next year but oh no, Americans are paying attention now and we are organizing.

Trump might primary them but... he's gonna primary some of them anyway. And even if he does, the people are also gonna move votes away from them.

I've also been asking if they want this to be their legacy, voting for the murder bill that is going to devastate America for generations. Especially with the older Senators. lol We know how to edit wikipedia. They don't.

Ok so here's who I think the different lifers would be as Greek gods

Grian- hermes- just a goofy guy, but also the pranks and trickster god fits, the mini wings in some fan art, idk it just fits

Pearl- artemis- fairly self explanatory, again think they just fit together, the moon stuff of course, also dogs for hunting were a big thing for Artemis

Gem- athena- this one's a bit harder to explain but again just vibes wise it fits, gems a good fighter of course and has both a calmer side and a more violent side

Tango- hephaestus- it was a toss up between him and mumbo but I think the combo of him being very red stony and linked with fire makes him the best candidate

Joel- Ares- he's of course very violent a lot of the time and whilst I considered making him Zeus cos of empires s2 I decided to go for Ares cos of the next pick

Lizzy- Aphrodite- I feel like out of the group she has the goes for the most pink and cutesy aesthetic most of the time (which is a great vibe don't get me wrong) which I feel would fit best the vibe of Aphrodite, also as previously mentioned her and Joel being married fits with Aphrodite and Ares being an item

Ren- Eros- this might seem out of left field but I mean there are 18 lifers (I think) and 14 major gods. But anyway, Eros was the male god of desire, fitting with many of his jokes and his vibe and worked for Aphrodite, similar to how Ren swore allegiance to Lizzy, he's basicly Greek Cupid but a twink instead of a baby

Big B- hestia- more of a simple one but they are both simply delightful in my eyes, also Hestia I believe is the goddess of baking and yk the cookie

Jimmy- demeter- I won't lie I was struggling to find one for Jimmy and for Demeter alike but I felt it only fair that she was one of the bread bridge bad boys

B dubs- kronos- whilst a Titan not a god, I don't have much to work with here so chill, anyway he of course is linked to clocks and time in many seasons with him betraying impulse for a clock in third life and being a clocker in limited life, he also fits the kind of unstable vibe of Kronos

Scott- apollo- again this one's mostly vibes and the head crystal things but I feel like theres kind of something to that

Martyn- posiedon- I feel like after his limited life ein and being a mean Gill he's often drawn with coral or other water based stuff, also he ki d of fits posiedons whole mood swings chill one minute but vicious the next

Skizz- Zeus- idk him and impulse are probably the weekest links, but I could see Zeus dressing like him and Zeus was never the brightest ruler in some areas, idk I'm grasping at straws

Impulse- hera- of course married to Zeus, and skizz and impulse are often shipped together, also I feel like he's very maternal toward the group, again grasping at straws here

Etho- hades-idk he just has very spooky and mysterious vibes tbh, especially his skin and I feel like he's almost feared by the other players sometimes, him and Cleo could be switched tbh

Cleo- pershephone- they've definitely got spooky vibes sometimes and of course are a zombie very queen of the underworld like, but they've also got the much brighter side, with the jazzersize suit coming to mind, also yk cletho

Scar- Dionyspus- his laid back attitude definitely fits the god of wine and party's, after all you can't escape the good times, I can definitely imagine his usually biege or brown clothes interwoven with grape vines, idk if that makes sense but you can see the vision

Mumbo- Prometheus? -this one's a stretch but I ran out of God's lol, but I feel like mumbo gas that creativity and ingenuity that is linked with prometheus, he also (usually) acts with forethought and certainly in series 10 is acting with a ton of creative fire. Also breathing life into grumbot and his base robot? Idk I ran out of ideas

Some of these were very week so feel free to say if you have better ideas lol.

Does anybody have pages 5-8 or 19-21 of pancaketiffy's Nautical Disaster anywhere? And does anyone know if the comic was ever continued past page 23? I wanna see if I can archive it somehow.

UPDATE: Did some more digging and found pages 19-21 (though two pages are labeled as page 21, which seems like an accident but they are two different pages, I'll have them listed in order,) as well as a 24th page. My guess is that that was the last page that was publicly released, but again, if anyone knows about pages past this point let me know.

So now all I need to find are pages 5-8, and any possible pages after 24.

UPDATE 2: Found page 7, so that leaves pages 5 and 8.

Gu Yiran had made Zhao Xiaoguang show him the map, during one of the endless waiting afternoons in the hospital when Zheng Bei wasn’t there. He’d reached out to trace the circled spots, all three, the sleeve of his hospital shirt catching against the edge of the paper as Zhao Xiaoguang said, Ge wanted us to check all of them, even though he was pretty sure you could only be here, pointing. A cluster of rectangles marking the abandoned crematory buildings north of Halan. Zhao Xiaoguang had left a fingerprint smear of grease along the entry road, right where it ran along the train tracks.

another snippet from the start of ch5! it feels so weird to be back to down drafting now that ch1-4 have shifted the story so far from the original final chapter outline that literally none of the draft material is appropriate anymore lol but it's really enjoyable to just sit and type the most medium sentences in the world without having to do any higher-level thinking about pacing or subtext or anything :) brain off drafting my beloved :)

Can you make a tutorial on how you world build and make ocs? I can't seem to make any people in my brain, but then when I try to come up with environments jobs, beliefs and little details to slowly come up with someone, I think: well I don't really know how people have influenced the world- it's a weird loop

To be honest, I don't think I can! Writing is an extremely personal process. The way I write is directly related to how I process things, what I find important in stories, years of my own analysis of my and other's writing, etc... The way you write will be unique to you, as well. But I can explain how I personally think of it.

The short answer:

Write. Write anything and everything, it's a tool to explore your ideas. Analyze your own writing, and write more. Then, as you discover which ideas you want to develop, write more to explore them more. You won't know what you want otherwise!

The long answer:

I think this kind of loop is common. It's easy to feel like everything needs to be done "at once," because our job as writers is to make elements logically fit with each other for our readers. But as you've discovered, developing multiple elements simultaneously isn't really possible, or at least is extremely difficult.

Personally, when I think of writing, I break it into three major elements; characters, world, and plot. As much as possible every scene explores one or more of these, and as much as possible these three things tie back into what I personally consider most important: theme.

Everything I do is in service of the themes I want to present. Without them my events feel aimless. It can take a while to discover them, but they're the core of my work. You will have to discover what you feel is the core of yours. Analyzing other media helps with this too.

Concepts in your brain exist in a state of infinite potential. But when you start writing you have to start making choices, which removes potential as you move forward... But you have to move forward anyways. If there's ideas you want to explore later, you can always explore them later.

What this ends up meaning, to answer your question, is that I don't think of my characters as "people in my brain" or my worlds as something people have influenced... Not at their core, at least. They are tools that I use to represent specific ideas. Obviously they're also my blorbos, but mostly they're serving a specific narrative purpose.

So above all else... Write. Write, and discover what you're writing about, and then start over and write with that in mind. Keep doing this. But you have to write!
