Hello, I believe that I used one of your old artworks that I saw in a screenshot on pinterest as inspiration for a school music project. I was hoping to get permission to use it as a base for an short animation for the same class. Below I've put the artwork I'm talking about. If you're against me using it in my animation I completely understand as well, just let me know. Also, if I've located the wrong person please let me know. I've put the photo down below.

I love Time and Time Again!! It was genuinely interesting to see two characters talk things out. Of course they kept secrets, but they knew when to reveal them and that made me want to stick around and read it. Thankyou for making such a wonderful comic!!

I think there's generally a tendency to believe that relationships can't be nice in a romance or the story will be boring.

I understand where this idea comes from, stories should have conflict! And, real world relationships have conflict, as well. They always will! It makes sense that most stories centered around relationships would, inevitably, at some point, have disagreements, fights, anger...

I get why others enjoy it, its messy it's fun it's drama! but for me personally it just stresses me out since I've done so much work to NOT be like that!

As a writer, when presented with two people who are reasonably at odds with eachother, where neither of them is in the wrong per se, but someone still ends up hurt... it's a fun challenge to write them working through it in a believable way. it's a fun challenge, too, to put them into situations that feel equal and human.

I just think it's a necessary thing for who I am as a person to write relationships the way I do, and so I'm just very very very glad that other people resonate with it as well!

Hi, I kind of have a question, Adam said that can't walk in the sun when doesn't drink blood, but what exactly happens? Do vampires just burn immediately, begin to be more sensitive to sunburn or is it another kind of thing?

so, in time and time again I really wanted blood to be something of a medicinal need for vampires. it's not a 1:1 metaphor of course, please don't try to think of it that way, but it's how I conceptualize it.

He needs blood to go in the sun, to heal, to "be something of a human again" and it also grants him the ability to time travel, shapeshift, compel others...

Without blood, he can't do these things. So, to be honest, without blood vampires would just... die. They can't exist without it. being in the sun uses blood, its dangerous. it wears you down. it makes you weaker. it can kill you!

I realize this ends up making my vampires feel weak, but... it's a metaphor for chronic illness. They have limited energy and if they do not take the time and the 'medications' they need to recover, they'll become weak or die. They have to manage their limited energy.

there's extreme privilege for vampires who have steady access to blood, like Adam does. His access to blood lets him time travel, transform, go in the sun constantly, etc. Vampires without as much access have to become nocturnal, they get stuck in one place, they have to be careful because even a small cut can cost precious resources...

A desperate vampire might end up hurting someone for what they need. a vampire with people who are willing to help them can get by, or even thrive. a vampire with none of these will die.

I know it's not the most satisfying answer, but it is my answer! My experiences being chronically ill are very much at play here.

Sure, this poll is probably skewed... Towards the most active members of my audience who see most of my posts! not even 30% of the people who voted KNOW that I have a patreon. And these people are likely also readers of my comics! Which have a small patreon icon at the end of every update!

If your promo isn't obvious and frequent, most people will miss it entirely.

So please, share your posts more! I promise people aren't just avoiding you, they want to support you but many of them probably don't even know they can!

Y'all brought a lot of energy to that Covenant post, how about some love for Time & Time Again? 😘🤙💓

I've been reading this webtoon since it began, the creator is super cool and absolutely deserves more attention on their work. They're an extremely prolific comic creator with loads of work under their belt already, but Time & Time Again is their first Originals series on the platform. It unfortunately doesn't get advertised much by the platform but lemme tell you, it's one of the best out there if you're looking for a good series to binge and keep up with. It's literally a time-travelling vampire x werewolf duo going on wacky adventures through time, it's structured like those monster-of-the-week shows where every story arc is a new adventure and mystery to solve (but there's also an overarching plot that threads them together, much of it involving the main characters' angsty backstory >:3).

Also they're gay and their names are literally Adam and Steve (and iirc Steve is transmasc and Adam is non-binary !!). I don't think I have to even explain its appeal further than that , go read it LMAO And if you like it, please consider adding it to your list of books to order for your shelf!!! Deo has done a great job adapting it to print, and every book contains each story arc so rather than its seasons on WT being haphazardly divided into a limited amount of chapters, each book is cleanly organized into each adventure!

Time & Time Again is currently on hiatus, so fortunately the creator hasn't run into any issues like explodikid where they haven't been allowed to promote the books in their episodes... but that's simply because it hasn't been posting new episodes, so it remains to be seen if Deo will also face similar roadblocks. Hopefully Webtoons will have learned their lesson by that point, but until then, it's better safe than sorry to spread the word around now; and if you haven't heard of the series before, then now's your time to read it so you can catch up to it before it makes its return! (•̀ᴗ•́)و

Just some thoughts about recent WEBTOON discourse from an originals creator. I recognize my inherent bias in this situation.

But please recognize that saying "fuck you" to a company means supporting the workers, not making them out to be unfortunate suckers... "would have/could have/should have's" don't get people out of situations.

"I never would have signed with them" is an incredibly tone-deaf thing to say. "this is why you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket" is true, but it doesn't help people who are contractually obligated into exclusivity.

Most of us are making merch, running patreons, trying to get book deals, etc... and most of us aren't able to stop working and still pay our bills. we're trying. we'd all love to, but we can't.

If you really want things to be better, maybe try not putting down the people who are in the bad situation? it ends up feeling like people using our pain and mistreatment as an outlet to advertise themselves...

Our company is getting worse and worse by the year and we're risking a lot to talk about it! Please listen! The only power we have is complaining about things, and it's risky every time!
