i love how people irl still know me as the "spider-man girl" after all these years. im just so happy that ppl will see spider-man and immediately think of me, even though im not even obnoxious about it anymore, im so subtle about my love for spider-man but everyone still knows him as a part of my identity

hello!! are you perhaps the author of that AMAZING Kiaz fic, Greek tragedy, on ao3? (if not please pretend this never happened—)

anyway, I just wanted to thank you for writing that masterpiece. I've grown to love Kiaz so much, but their fandom is still pretty small, so whenever new content about them pops up I feel the need to comment on it. and God, that fic is SO well written. the pacing, the flow of consciousness, the wording, the way you wrote the characters' personalities, everything is just so good. ALSO MIGUEL TALKING IN SPANISH TO ROBBY, I LOVED THAT SOSOSO MUCH, AH! you're definitely one of my favourite writers now and I'm so glad to have found one of your incredible works!

oh my goodness!!! this is so so so sweet! i’m used to the spiderman fandom being so active so when there wasn’t as much response to my work i was kind of bummed even though i know the fandom is suuuper small. this message really made my day 🥰🥰🥰 i actually have like 5k of a kiaz a/b/o fic in one of my drafts that i should maybe put up, if you want it 🖤🖤🖤🖤 -venom

Fanfiction Year in Review 2020

Really excited to fill this out because I just started writing again this year, and I’m really proud of my accomplishments. 

How many stories did you publish?

A whopping total of 29 fics on ao3

Total word count for 2020?

228,371

What fandoms did you write for this year?

All Spider-Man fandom, but an even split between Parkner and Starker

Did you write more, less, or roughly the same you expected you would?

Way, way, WAY, more than I was expecting, considering I wasn’t really expecting to write at all. 

What story you wrote in 2020 are you most proud of?

Definitely, something in the way. I think it’s one of my favorite fics I’ve ever written. 

Did you take any writing risk this year?

I participated in my first bingo, and kink exchange, so that was exciting! A lot of my fics started as personal writing challenges that I wanted to tackle. I’m known for playing with dynamics. 

Do you have any fanfiction goals for 2021?

I hope to write just as much - if not more than this year, and to be as proud of it as I am of the work I put out in 2020. 

What is your most under appreciated story?

Gosh. Idk. Any interaction I get on any fic is great. Maybe jesus loves you (this i know) which is my Parkner fic I have a huge soft spot for that didn’t get as much interaction/comments. Might write a sequel to it sometime this year.

Most unintentionally telling story?

Oof. Probably in bloom, cause that’s just my soft baby fic. 

Most popular story of the year?

Wet, omg. That fic got so much traction, of which I wasn’t expecting, because it was just a little one shot based off of an idea I couldn’t get out of my head. It’s currently at 555 kudos on ao3. 

Ao3 stats?

Wet is my most popular this year, with 555 kudos 77 bookmarks 15 comments and 7,541 hits. BUT! in bloom is fighting for popularity and will most certainly take the title once it’s finished. Right now in bloom is at 447 kudos 82 bookmarks 91 comments and 9,800 hits

Most fun story to write?

Honestly, probably something in the way, just because I wrote it all in one night and haven’t been able to reenact that brain wave since. 

Biggest fanfiction related disappointment of 2020?

Can’t really think of any disappointments. Everything about my experience was so overwhelmingly positive. 

Biggest fanfiction related surprise of 2020?

The fact that I wrote 200k at all! Omg! I went from having barely anything on my ao3 to suddenly being a writing fiend. I hope I can write just as much, if not more, in 2021.

The Story of Us: Part 2 - Peter Parker

Previous

Summary: Peter and Y/N break it off at the end of high school, leaving them both heartbroken. 4 years fly by, and their paths cross at a press conference, with Y/N being a reporter and Peter being the person in question. Will the story of Y/N and Peter end?

A/N: I’m sososo sorry this took forever! I hope you enjoy it and I’m so grateful for your guys’ patience! This is based off The Story of Us by Taylor Swift kind of… Who even knows anymore. Anyway, it’s a lil’ short because but I’ll soon start writing part 3 to love me back and then start on requests finally!!!

The Story of Us - Part 2

Chapter 7: I’d tell you I’d miss you but I don’t know how

The lighting was dim and the room was except except for the two of them. There was a long silence along with strong eye contact that Peter nor Y/N wanted to break. Y/N broke the eye contact, looking at the ground, and Peter broke the silence. “S-So, how’ve you been?” He stuttered.

“I’ve been… Busy.” Y/N said, tucking her hair behind her ear.

“So you work for Scarlett Magazine now?” He gestured to the notebook she held, full of questions from the conference.

“Yeah, I’ve been a writer for a year now! God, it’s been amazing.” Y/N looked up from the ground, and smiled. “It’s been hard, you know, but I met my best friend through it and I actually love what I do.”

Peter laughed. “That was always my Y/N… You either had your nose stuck in a book or a pen in your hand.”

She blushed, and prayed he didn’t notice. She tried to push memories of him out that surfaced when he made that remark. “How’s the whole superhero thing been going by the way? I mean it’s obviously been good because, well, you’re an avenger…” Her voice faltered. Y/N hated herself for being so nervous and awkward.

“It’s been hard sometimes, especially since Ned is occupied with college. My whole support system has kinda fallen apart… Aunt May has just been kinda far away, and then you haven’t been around since high school.”

His voice cracked, and Y/N  wanted nothing more than to give him a warm hug and kiss him. She wanted to tell him what he meant to her. She wanted to tell him she never meant to break up with him, and that it was a big mistake. She wanted to tell him she still loved him so much… But Y/N couldn’t. It was too late.

Chapter 8: I don’t know what to say

“I’m really sorry, Pete.” She grabbed his arm gently, causing him to slightly jump. “I actually really need to ask you a few dumb questions for an article, or my boss will literally kill me.”

Peter gave her a smirk. “I think Spider-Man would save you from your boss.”

Y/N rolled her eyes, and laughed softly. “Anyway, my boss sent me a few questions… They’re kind of awkward…” She pulled out her phone and began reading from the small screen.

“Would you ever date anyone who wasn’t a superhero?”

“Well, yeah. I did date you.”

Y/N’s heart quickened, so she hastily changed the subject. “What’s your ideal date?”

A few dumb questions later, and the interview was drawing to a close. There was only one question left, and Y/N really hesitated asking this one… “Have you ever been in love?”

Chapter 9: The twist of fate

“O-Of course.” Peter frowned. “I was in love with you… I-I… I still am.” He stuttered.

“Pete-”

“Now I know I’m so late, but seeing you here… That happened for a reason right? I mean I know I should’ve fought for you a-and that I never should’ve let you go, but God I missed you so much. I still miss you. I understand that things change but my love for you never has.” He rambled, and he bit his lip when he was finished.

Y/N stood there stunned. She had no idea what to say, and she couldn’t imagine what the look on her face was. Her heart was beating out of her chest. “I-I don’t know what to say.”

Peter shook his head. “You don’t have to say anything. I’m sorry Y/N this was a mistake, I hope your interview was good. It was amazing seeing you.” He gave you a sad smile. The mask he held in his hand the entire time was once again on his face, and he walked to toward the door. Every ounce of her body wanted to run after him, grab him and kiss him, but all Y/N could do was stand there.

The door behind her slammed shut, and Y/N felt a pain in your chest. Did she just give up her last chance with him because she didn’t fucking know what to do and couldn’t fucking move!?

Chapter 10: The story of us looks a lot like a tragedy now

No, no, no! Y/N thought. She turned around and swung the door open. She looked around for him everywhere and was only met with the same body guard from earlier. “Right this way miss, I can escort you out of here.”

“N-No, I need to talk to Peter!”

“If you mean Spider-Man, he’s leaving right now I’m-”

The girl had sped off to the back of the venue, and pushed the door that led to outside. She was blinded by the sun for a moment, but saw a black limo ahead of her. Y/N ran after it as fast as she could, and shouted. She wasn’t about to say goodbye to the only man she’s ever loved.

“Peter!” She yelled. Her legs were tired, and she couldn’t run anymore. Y/N stopped and stood there watching the limo take off. “But I love you…” She breathed out.

“You what?” A voice said behind her, causing her to snap around.

“Wait, what the fuck?” She frowned. It was Peter, in his Spider-Man attire. “I thought…”

“I forgot my phone, and what the hell! Mr. Stark left me! He said he’d wait.” Peter whined. He stepped closer to you. “Anyway what did you say?”

Y/N tucked her hair behind her ear, a nervous habit, and gave him a smile. “I said I love you. I didn’t mean to freeze up, I-I was so shocked and I wanted to say the exact same things to you as you said to me.”  She wrapped her arms around him and felt his warmth. “I never should’ve ended it with you. I know it’s been four years but… I never stopped loving you, Peter.”

He kissed her forehead. “I never stopped loving you either, Y/N.”
