I think the quality of every piece of star wars media can be assessed by if it meets the 'some guy' quota of having some guy who knows little to nothing about jedis and the force and all of that, who is more just there because he feels like there's a social obligation and/or he'd die if he wasn't and who really would prefer to just be retired already

i love that star wars essentially runs on the concept of “just some guy” and yet i feel like the fandom and the canon itself brushes over them so quickly because of it. star wars would be nothing without those guys, they’re literally the backbones of the stories, but they brush over them without really appreciating them. that’s why i really enjoyed the solo movie, because it went into detail over those “guys” and THE Guy (han) and i appreciate that the movie focused on those little guys like L3 and just in general shed more of a light on people who aren’t all powerful and mystical like the jedi. ig rogue one succeeded a lot on being like a little love story to those “guys” who were just normal people fighting for everyone else.

there are “guys” we don’t even realize like c3po or ap5 or jar jar binks or even din djarin who ig just serves as a Guy in some else’s story (though i wish he weren’t just so). and most “guys” are there for humorous reasons or comic relief but i still like to appreciate that they are there in the first place, because without them we wouldn’t have star wars anyway.

AP-5 might be the only time I have thought that a character who is CLEARLY meant to be something of a knock-off of a previously established character that a lot of people tend to like, is actually BETTER than said previously established character.

I love AP-5. So much. So so so so much. His relationship with Chopper is adorable and wonderful and they should get way more airtime in the many filler episodes this show has than they do.

Droids (Day 4-5-6) 

FINALLY, I got this drawing done! It toke three days because I couldn't stop adding characters! Droids are one of my favourite things in the Star Wars universe and dedicating a drawing for one of them wasn't enough! So this fills up the past days where there was no diary drawing and of course today. I hope you like it! I'm very proud of this one, because this is the first time I make a drawing with so many characters in it!

22. Favorite droid?

I really love so many droids, I tend to go with Chopper or BB8 if I have to pick one, but I also love K2 and R2...and AP5 is pretty funny too, I mean even C3PO is great...droids are just great in general haha xD

25. Which character do you have a love/hate relationship with?

I have a hard time with this one cause I really don’t know? I said Anakin in the other ask and it kind of works? I feel like there are also characters that are really popular and I just don’t get it like Boba Fett (even though my friend loves him, that’s part of the reason I like him more than I did haha xD)

Maybe Hondo...I mean I love him but sometimes I’m just like, “Hondo...NO” xD
