There MUST be an undiscovered kind of trauma special for hetalia fans. I don't know how to explain it, and i can't show a tangible evidence for this statement but hetalia manages to "traumatise" everyone. I am not mad doctor!! Maybe we were traumatized by the Episode 23.5 creepypasta? Or perhaps Hetaoni? Or the super edgy variations of the 2p!s which essentially bordered on creepypastas? Or one of the many deeply disturbing fanfics? Or the people at conventions who... You know what? I'm gonna stop there.

If there's a popular headcanon I like about him that isn't mine then it's him being a trickster and a father to Moldova instead of a brother.

As for the name, I'm not against using "Vladimir" so technically I don't really have a headcanon for that.

But I prefer different family names such as: Aldea, Bradu, Petru/Petrea, Balaj, Bora, Barbu, Dobre, Dragan, Iordan, Lupan, Neagu, Pană...etc. I've seen too many "-escu" and I'm not a fan. I used to have Lupeanu too.

However if I'd have to chose a different name other than Vladimir because of reasons, I'd chose from these: Avram, Dorian, David, Bogdan, Vadim, Sergiu, Valeriu, Liviu, Martin, Ovidiu. Adrian is good too.

There was a time when I somehow managed to get a few friends nearby to go out for tea/coffee and talk about Hetalia. Oh, we could spend hours joking about the characters. Now that I am no longer a teenager also can't easily meet Hetalians in real life anymore, looking back seems like a dream 😂

I'll be honest, there's not too much of a story to tell. The friend I used to talk fandom stuff with was my best friend during middle school. He was actually the same person that got me into Hetalia. But by freshman year of high school, we kinda just... Dropped off. He started hanging out with some new friends, particularly an old bully of mine from grade school. However, in his defense, he didn't know about the bullying since it happened before we even met, so I highly doubt it was anything personal. Not to mention the bully had cleaned up their act at this point, and I was willing to forgive. But I wasn't so eager to spend time with them. And my friend never really bothered to talk to me since then, apart from a Facebook message here and there. But as of now, we haven't talked in almost ten years.

Granted, I could have reached out to him as well, but once you and a friend go so long without talking, striking up a conversation like back in the good old days seems impossible. However, I feel like we didn't leave off on bad terms, so that's good. I take a little bit of comfort in that.

Sorry if that part was a little too emotional, I just started typing and everything just sorta came out.

But yeah, I would give anything to have a circle of fandom friends to endlessly chat with. I've never been the best at making or keeping friends, but it's far easier when it's someone who is as deeply and insanely passionate about something as I am. :)

What kind of vampire is Romania? infected by vampires, undead, or cursed into one?

I assume this ask was inspired by the supernatural thing in my headcanons? I haven't thought a proper idea about vampires or supernaturals in general but I like to think they exist in Hetalia besides the usual weird shenanigans of the countries.

About the ask, If I have to choose how Ro became a vampire it would be the cursed option. The undead can't happen due to him being an immortal entity who can't die to humans so that was already a given (even if he's not a corpse). About turning into a vampire by one, I don't think that existed before and I'll ramble a bit about it.

Vampires used to be just your average folklore demonic creatures that terrifies humans like any other before Vlad Țepeş give them a personality. We called them "strigoi", a more monster looking version and sometimes both are associated as the same species with different ranks, one thing they have in common is shape-shifting. The infected/turning into vampire thing is from the modern version so even if "vampires" existed before, they weren't quite the same and not that different from the average folktale monsters (as in not special) and the turning thing is like the defining trait of the modern ones, beside the blood drinking.

I don't think "vampires" even originated from Romania, the tale existed around the balkans for a long time with slight twists. The modern version however it does.

As a reference, I'd say the vampires we're talking about didn't exist yet, so it had to start from somewhere and you can add to this whatever you like for an interesting story. Maybe a couple of witches wanted to get a little vengeful with their curses and ended up creating an entirely new species of monsters, who knows.

Overall for me I say Ro is the cursed kind of vampire and one of the firsts to become so.

Some explanation of the choice of fonts: Stalin talks with a similar to his own handwriting font, Finn with a bit of italic (and it is a reference to his being a part of the empire in the recent past), Russia talks with more like… a strict architectural font? But when he loses his temper a bit, it gets a little more sloppy(?)

And… in the original post Finland asks «А жареных гвоздей не хочешь?» which means “and don't you want some fried nails?”… it is a quote that Rafael from tmnt 1987 said in Russian dub… AND BRO FOUND IT IN ORIGINAL SO FINLAND STILL REFERENCES A TURTLE YES.
