So I’m super excited for the new Mystreet season! But I’m also concerned over some of the past controversies with Aphmau and just wanted to hear other opinions on it all yknow! If I should still support her or not. I don’t want to be ragged on for enjoying her series if there’s something bad I don’t fully know about.

So, how do you all feel?

He’s a bronze god of a man and can canonically rip his shirt by flexing and he’s a little meow meow cat boy so the furries get some too he’s literally for everyone

Also I headcanon he’s autistic (low support needs) and has a special interest in cats, philosophy, and architecture and he’s a nosy little BITCH there for the drama but he has a sweet face so it’s not a big deal

Also out with the America x everyone and in with the Greece x everyone he’s literally so scrumptious and like a capybara he’ll get along with basically (almost) anyone

Him x Romano is my favorite it’s like Mediterranean rusame to me (though I also like GreAme)

If you could change anything in the show, what would you change?

-The current/s7 style. Beautiful World was much better, now they're all less detailed and their proportions changed.

-If they're going to adapt a strip, they shouldn't leave out good parts of it! We got Romano and America living together but they didn't include the scene where Romano confides in America and America sympathises? We were ROBBED.

-Either longer episodes or longer seasons. There's so much to adapt and it feels like they're always skipping over stuff to cram it all in.

-We need more of characters interacting outside their usual circles.

-More moments that show different sides of the characters.

I'm just wondering. Who are Arthur's parents? My guess is Brition and Anglo-Saxon personifications. With Rome being his grandfather. But Normandy. How do they play into it? I mean, William the Bastard/Conqueror's Invasion of England in 1066 changed the people, culture, government EVERYTHING so much. So it's a big enough role that they play.

My guess.

Briton + Anglo-Saxon = Arrhur

Rome = Briton's dad

Rome = Arthur's grandfather

someone has totally already said this but I've been thinking about it nonstop so here I go,,,

so it's a popular aphmau fandom theory that the characters are predisposed to have similar things happen to them in most lifetimes/universes (aph getting into intense relationship drama, zane and garroth - plus vylad - being troubled brothers, travis getting possessed by a demon)

and if you think about it, dante's 'thing' is getting left behind while everyone goes on a big adventure and they come back different. in mcd, obviously, aph tells him to stay and watch over the village, and Dante waits for 15 years while aph's group is in the irene dimension. When they come back, they are scarred and dante is 15 years older. there is a rift between Dante and all his old friends.

but the thing I don't see many people talking about is how THIS REPEATS IN MYSTREET! everyone on the street (but laurance, however Dante ignores him) leaves to Starlight and tells him they'll be back in no time, just 3 weeks. And they end up getting locked down, hunted, controlled, everything. Dante sits on a deserted street just waiting for his friends to come home while he gets more and more stir-crazy.

That's just dante's fate, to be left behind, waiting, while his loved ones get themselves killed and changed.

In season 7, I would love for there to be Dante angst (FINALLY) around everyone leaving him and coming back different. Especially Travis, his best friend and roommate, coming back absolutely traumatized.

If you like this observation, I would recommend 'Meanwhile On Mystreet' which is a rly good ao3 fic about Dante, laurance and friends trying to keep themselves occupied while everyone is on Starlight during Season 6.

Zane being a brony

bronies not only ruined there own show but made the worst creepypasta’s back in the day. Also I have personal beef with a few of them bitches (including myself if you know you know)

2. Zane has a flat ass

absolutely lies and slander. Katelyn does though yes I’m 100% biased. She has no ass only muscle

3. Laurence’s fashion sense

I don’t even like Laurence but for fucks sakes why does he always look somewhere between a tik tok e-boy and a freshly divorced white suburban dad about to pick up his kid from soccer.

4. Zane having a crush on aph (or any of season 3 really)

This could’ve been interesting if he acted like an actual adult. Listen sometimes I like a whiny miserable little man but I don’t like a full blown 27 year old crying like a fucking baby over a girl that is already IN A RELATIONSHIP even want him. That’s not just unattractive it’s fucking weird. It’s yet another case of an interesting concept done poorly. Just because he doesn’t have any social skills doesn’t mean decorum always needs to be thrown out the window.

let’s not forget the time he literally said he want to repopulate with her. WHILE STILL LIVING WITH AARON. No I’m not kidding. What the FUCK.

5. ghost/kim

Ghost/Emmalyn is just such a bad character. She literally attempts to SA/full blown Sa’s Zane I don’t need to say anymore. And Kim is straight up just useless she does absolutely nothing to help the cast or the plot other than be a vessel. At least characters that I dislike (as people) make me feel something. Which makes me hate her more. Her character is literally nothing without ghost.

6. Jess implying Ein is a better villain than Zane.

fuccccck off. I don’t even like MCD but at least Zane made his own plans and didn’t need plot device to the tenth degree to make him hateable.

7. Mystreet/McD are in the same universe/timeline

Every time I think about the ladder half of season 6 i have an aneurism. Like every-time I rewatch with friends I forget everything that’s told to us.

8. Jess imply Melicinda was going to be endgame

This is gonna get me in get water maybe but I- I don’t get it guys. I mean at least Garrence I can’t get even though I’m personally not a huge fan. My feelings about Melissa aside- there’s nothing here. Literally nothing. Baron. The fruit is dryer than a raisin. So why Jess bought into it or tried to set it up- I’ll never know. Baiting your queer audience is trendy I guess.

8. Zanvis.

I’ve seen things. Things that will never be scorched from my mind. No matter how much bleach I put on the stain. It will never leave me… god… is this why you won’t come back to us? Because of what we have rot on your beautiful earth?

I have a really anxious feeling season 7 is gonna go down at the lodge

if youve seen the poster you know that that art takes place in the snowy mountains in the woods

and the only scene that actually looks like it takes place in reality (I'll get to that) is the scene where she's looking at photos in an old dusty decrepit room it's not really a stretch to think it's in the lodge

and yeah I think the scenes were we see aph and aaron walking in that flowery forest arent real? I'm not sure why I'm getting that vibe? maybe the end sequence where she's yelling and he ignores her? and the cuts between memories feel like that? the Aaron we see there only looks at her like once?

I don't know its implying Aaron is dead or otherwise not around anymore?

ALSO IM REWATCHING THE TRAILER AND WHY IS KAI A WEREWOLF?

anyway the shooting star imagery is also interesting because of the whole "wishing on a star" thing? maybe she's gonna wish for Aaron to get his memory back? idk I'm throwing things at the wall right now but I wanted to know yalls thoughts

I'm still processing how I went from simply logging into Wattpad to check my notifs to not only announcing my return to publishing random crap on Wattpad, but pouring my heart and soul out onto a piece of text because of Aphmau's comeback, introducing the possibility of a future AO3 account, and confessing my resurfaced obsession over Rhys-

I will now not only take back my title as an Aphmau fan, but also my title of ✨shameless simp✨

(What does get me thinking is that I was genuinely giving up on Aphmau, and was considering even leaving My Inner Demons, Pierce and Noi, and all my fanfics behind for the new Minecraft YouTubers and series I discovered before I saw Rhys in an Aphmau video, and the MyStreet season 7 trailer.
