Just want to happily vent a bit. 😅

It’s hilarious, crazy, sad, etc that so many Individuals in this world love to think they know more than they do.

This thought stems from the whole Taylor/Trafis “leaked” document because that’s definitely not a contract. I see various people within the CE fandom debating or discussing if the leak documents are real or not. I’m like who cares, the simple fact Taylor and Travis are OBVIOUS PR, yet people believe them to be real while calling out Chris for his bs of whatever this is is insane to me.

I don’t care if Chris’ mess is real or not, but this is how Hollywood works they make you believe the obvious bs is real and/or question if the orchestrated bs is real or fake.

To see people fuss at Chris or claim know if it’s pr or real yet they fall for Travis and Taylor mess is eye opening to say the least.

No one knows anything …..duh. 😂

But that’s Hollywood, I’m the eyes of many….both could be legit or both could be fake when it’s very apparent that they BOTH are fake……BUT without any substantial evidence……the truth is……we’ll never know, but it makes you stop and wonder how much of what we presently like or think we like regarding celebs is due to us being brainwashed and how much crap from the past that ultimately became pop culture or pivotal moments in our lives were actually fabricated bs. Back in the day it was harder to pull crap like this (still doesn’t mean it wasn’t happening) because the general public knew how to smell obvious bs but bs was still there, the 80s/90s walked so the new gen could run. It’s just so obvious that the people in charge don’t know much of anything to the point they continue the same stupid formulas, yet the general public continues to eat it up (which is why Hollywood continues to do this) and that’s not just entertainment but politics, social media and businesses across the board.

People have gotten dumber, thus fools arguing over click baited things online or people in fandoms arguing over their favs having more money than the other while those online arguing fail to realize the people they are arguing over are RICH while they aren’t.

Fans work for free and make more money for these celebs, that’s how it works. It keeps people talking.

When you sit back and see things for what they are, it’s maddening. 😳😮‍💨

I’d steer clear of any active celeb in this present society, it’s only going to get crazier moving forward.

I couldn’t resist to do a post about Orion’s little sister this time (I’ll do more of him later I promise 😂). You’ve probably seen it before since Mily is more often in her human form but it’s easy to tell she’s the stark opposite of her brother: small, chubby and a bit more muscly than him with very lousy clothes giving her more stomboyish look (like Akane from Ranma 1/2). Before, Mily used to be skinnier but I wanted her to have a softer figure to match her personality and abilities (so I decided that when she started beign more comfortable in her skin, she gained a little bit more weight, showing that she was happier and well loved): she’s very calm, introverted and clumsy but has a loud voice and she can be reckless. She also loves nature (animals especially) and literature (mostly novels/light novels, mangas and comic books) and to sing as well as combat of course. Like her brother she has her elements (fire, water, air and darkness), she can communicate with animals and has a high pain tolerance and is quite tanky in battle (she often uses this ability to protect the ones she loves, at the cost of her own well-beign) , which again fits her combat style (she fights more like an animal with fangs, claws, horns… and often mixes different species’ defense mechanisms to fight) and contrasts with her physical appearance.

Je n’ai pu résister à l’envie de publier la petite sœur d’Orion (on verra plus de lui plus tard c’est promis 😂). Vous l’avez sûrement vu auparavant vu que Mily est plus souvent sous forme humaine mais on comprend facilement qu’elle est l’opposé complet de son frère: petite, rondouillarde et un peu plus musclée que lui avec des vêtements très larges lui donnant une petite allure de garçon manqué (comme Akane/Adeline dans Ranma 1/2). Avant , Mily était plus fine mais j’ai voulu lui donner une silhouette plus douce/câline reflétant sa personnalité et ses capacités (j’ai alors décidé que quand elle commençait à être bien dans sa peau, elle a gagné un peu de poids, montrant le fait qu’elle était plus heureuse et aimée): elle est très calme, introvertie et maladroite mais a une forte voix et est un peu trop téméraire. Elle adore aussi la nature (les animaux surtout) et la littérature (en particulier les romans/light novels, les mangas et les bandes dessinées), chanter et bien sûr les combats. Comme son frère elle a ses éléments (eau, feu, air et ténèbres), elle peu communiquer avec les animaux et à une forte tolérance à la douleur et est très résistante en combat (elle exploite souvent cette capacité pour protéger ses proches, au prix de son bien-être), ce qui encore une fois reflète son style de combat (elle se bat comme un animal avec les crocs, les griffes, les cornes… et mélange souvent les mécanismes de défense de différentes espèces pour se battre) et s’oppose à son apparence.

Chapter starts with Kusakabe asking everyone if anyone has ever been seriously punched by Gojo. Lmaoooo Panda says he tried but couldn’t hit. Yuta says he got hit with limitless once but not seriously.

Kusakabe (the man with all the answers apparently lmaoooo) explains that Gojo overlaps the effect of blue, which sucks things in and enhances his fist with CE. Hakari adds that it feels like getting hit from something harder even though it’s just a normal punch. Kiara asks if it hurts to which Yuta and Hakari answer that they threw up 😂

A Nanami crumb 🥹 miss him. 🫶🏼 anyway…

Yuji says that Nanami had told him once to not compare himself to Gojo if Yuji aspired to being a sorcerer. Nanami adds “Long story short, it feels like I can’t keep up with his shit” LMFAOOOOOOOO same Nanami, same.

Aujourd’hui c’était la journée des Uber…😂 après toute la route et la circulation d’hier, on c’est dit que ce serait plus simple.

Il est 10h et nous prenons notre premier Uber direction « el parque national Los Tres Ojos », soit le parc national des trois yeux. Ce sont des grottes souterraines, résultants d’une fracture tectonique, et dans lesquelles ce sont formés 3 lacs. Il y en a en fait un quatrième, plus grand que les trois autres mais qui est entièrement visible depuis la surface et qui ne fait donc pas parti des « trois yeux ». Les couleurs de ces lacs sont magnifiques, un bleu étincelant ! Il y a quelques poissons et une tortue qui passent de temps en temps. Apparement également des chauves-souris mais nous n’en avons pas vu. Après avoir fait le tour du parc et avoir descendu et remonté les 346 marches, on commande notre second Uber.

Nous traversons une bonne partie de la ville pour rejoindre le jardin botanique. Avec les embouteillages, il nous aura fallu plus de 45 minutes pour y arriver. On a faim lorsque nous y arrivons, on file direct à la cafétéria. Finalement c’est plutôt un petit kiosque qu’une cafétéria…on prend alors trois petites croquettes de poulet 😂 bon ça fera l’affaire 🤷🏽‍♂️😂. Il y a beaucoup d’école qui sont en train de prendre leur pic-nic sur la place à côté de la cafétéria, mais lorsque nous avançons un peu dans le parc, nous sommes seul au monde. Je me guide avec la carte du parc disponible en ligne mais elle n’est pas tout à fait fidèle à la réalité… lorsque nous trouvons enfin les serres et les pavillons qui nous intéressent il y a toujours quelques choses qui ne vas pas… « il n’y a pas beaucoup de papillons, ça ne vaut pas la peine », « les orchidées sont en fumigation, il n’y a pas de visite ». Dernier espoir, le jardin japonais. On espère vraiment qu’il sera ouvert car il faut marcher un bon bout sous un soleil de plomb pour y arriver 🌞🥵. Lorsque nous y arrivons, la surprise est totale ! Le jardin japonais est vaste, très apaisant et un peu ombragé. Il y a un lac avec des petits ponts rouges. De jolies sculptures en pierre. Dans le lac il y a des tortues 🐢. Après y avoir fait le tour, on rejoint gentiment la sortie. Il est 14h20 et nous appelons notre prochain chauffeur.

Cette fois-ci, nous allons au centre commercial, il n’est pas très loin mais à pied sous cette chaleur et avec toute la circulation, on était pas tant motivé. Le centre commercial est très grand et ressemble à un centre commercial européen, rien d’exotique. Même les enseignes sont pour la plupart celles que nous connaissons tous. On flâne un peu dans les magasins et finalement on ne trouve pas grand chose à acheter. Les prix sont parfois plus cher qu’en Europe, surtout pour les vêtements. On se demande même comment ils font pour ce payer ce genre d’habit. Nous nous arrêtons tout de même dans une bijouterie acheter un joli bracelet pour maman. Ensuite on file au supermarché. Là, nous savons que nous trouverions quelque chose. Du café ! Le même paquet de café est vendu 10US$ dans le quartier colonial contre 250 pesos dominicain au supermarché (soit environ 3,70CHF) ! A 16h30, nous sortons du centre commercial pour rentrer à l’appartement.

C’est la première fois que c’est aussi compliqué d’avoir un Uber. Je ne sais pas combien m’acceptaient la course puis, juste avant d’arriver, annulaient tout. Est ce qu’il trouvait une meilleure offre ? En plus il ne me restais plus que 20% de batterie sur le téléphone…finalement un chauffeur nous a tant bien que mal reconduit à la maison.

Après un petit téléphone avec Dan avant qu’il n’embarque dans l’avion pour rentrer à Madrid, nous allons prendre notre dernier souper en ville (merci Uber encore une fois 😂).

Les Trois Mousquetaires, Chapter 11

The plot thickens further...

After leaving Trèville, d'Artagnan pretty much just wanders through the nightly Paris streets, lovestruck and looking at the beautiful moon and the stars. 😍 (I was waiting for him to break into song.)

He dreams of a future with (the very married) Mme Bonnacieux, supported by her (her husband's) money. (According to Dumas' narrator commentary, being a kept man, even to a married woman, wasn't anything special at the time; it was even en vogue.)

While d'Art wanders around (apparently completely having forgotten about M. Bonnacieux languishing in prison and the investigation he was conducting, tsk), he ends up in Aramis' quartier and decides to pay him a visit.

At Aramis' house, it gets complicated. In essence, d'Art observes none other than Constance Bonnacieux exchanging on of those damned handkerchiefs against a different one with a woman who opens Aramis' front door upon Constance's secretive signal-knocking. And he sees all this in spite of the darkness, because-

Fun fact:

"D'ailleurs les yeux des Gascons ont, à ce qu'on assure, comme ceux des chats, la propriété de voir pendant la nuit."

= Gascons have cat-like night vision! Who knew?😂

Afterwards, d'Art intercepts Constance, but she refuses to tell him what she's been up to, who the other woman was and claims that she doesn't know Aramis.

Constance asks d'Art to trust him, that it would be dangerous for him to know the truth, to not follow her anymore, and he leaves her be.

Returned to his own place, d'Artagnan learns from Planchet that Athos has been arrested because he'd been at d'Artagnan's and the Guards mistook him for d'Art. And Athos, being all noble and smart, hasn't bothered to clear up the mistake to buy d'Art more time for his investigations. (And possibly also to languish in prison a bit, what with his melancholy needing fodder.)

D'Artagnan runs to Tréville to bring him up to speed, but Tréville is at the Louvre, and d'Art decides to look for him there.

On his way to the Louvre, he happens upon a (cloaked and secretive and hiding behind handkerchiefs) couple also walking this way, and they look like - gasp! - Aramis and Constance!

D'Artagnan almost combusts with instant jealousy and stops the two, pulling his rapier to fight Aramis to the death.

But it's not Aramis - it's Buckingham! With Constance! 😳

Constance is a bit furious that d'Art followed her against his promise, but D'Artagnan appologizes, and, to make up for nearly killing the Duke (oops) he escorts the two safely to the Louvre and returns home to meet up with Aramis and Porthos.

Like I said: it's complicated. And it's quite possible that this chapter was sponsored by Kleenex.

Watching Halo, episode 1

Things I Know About Halo:

The Master Chief is a badass supersoldier who Doesn't Take Off His Helmet.* (I thought it had turned out he was a woman and the fan base rioted but apparently I mixed him up with Samus Aran?) There's a couple AI people, Roland the orange dude and Cortana the hot chick. There's a guy named Arbiter, I think he's an alien? Aliens destroy a lot of planets. There's some sort of mystical Old Ones leftover tech? (Is that the Halo part?) Names I have heard: Miranda Keyes, Dr. Halsey, Makee, Thomas Lasky, Chyler Silva**

That established, let's give this thing a go!

Nice opening scene. The costuming and set design are good, definitely have that Star Wars-esque vibe but are doing some of their own specific things that ground the world. The characters definitely gave you that lived-in-universe feel of established relationships and community right away. (Also I'm delighted by their use of Korean and their made-up alien language. Again, nice worldbuilding.) I am, however, confused. There's also an entire rebelling against the galactic empire thing going on? No one told me this. How do these people find the time with all the aliens?

Oh shit, THEY DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE ALIENS. Oh noooo.

The violence is really well done. The explosion plus blood splatter shot was great. Good use of camera work to minimize the more difficult to pull off FX shots while still getting the brutality across. The helmet-cam shots are a good storytelling choice while also being a fun nod to the games. I do not envy the stunt people fighting in these suits, though. They made them look powerful. They did not make them look dexterous, graceful or effectively designed for hand-to-hand combat.

Noooo they killed the little kid! ...and everybody else. Man, I liked those guys. Poor Kwan. (Is she in the games? Is she this ineffective? She was like, I'm going to help! and then just... didn't.) And then the Spartans just... walk off?

DO NOT TOUCH THE WEIRD ALIEN TECH. You're a Master Chief! I have it on good authority that keeping people from touching things they shouldn't is a major part of your job! Set a good example for your troops! Also, check your six.

It's Dr. Halsey! Mad scientist alert, this woman does NOT seem to adhere to ethical guidelines. Nice lab coat. I don't trust you. Why do you have a person in a pod? (Why do you have them right where your boss can see them if they're not supposed to exist?) Who's Miranda Keyes and why do you have beef with her? Departmental rivalry?

Wow, Miranda is a lot younger than I expected. Also, that was terrible. Take care of the girl, butter her up, THEN ask her for shit. And do it in person, the hologram thing was weird and off-putting. Not sure that Kwan thought this through-- there's a happy medium between agreeing to be their propaganda mouthpiece and openly threatening to lie and say they caused the massacre, sweetie.

Alien homeworld (or homebase, idk)-- very cool design, good effects-- why is there a human here? Oh, THIS is Makee? What is her deal? Great costuming.

HALSEY IS MIRANDA'S MOM??? Wtf. Also I like Miranda, I don't think she knows what she's doing outside of her (own) lab but it sounds like her heart's in the right place. Great parting shot at dad, but also, maybe that's why your parents worked (for however long. Are they still together or not?)

Great scene with Kwan and Master Chief over the meal. Humanize him with a joke and then WHAM, dead mom story. I like how they're not letting you assume that Madrigal's people were just wrong about the Spartans. Nope, straight up, this guy commits atrocities because he never questions his orders. (She implied that she was there? How did that part go down?) Fortunately teenagers question everything, especially orders! Just in time to make you question this one...

From here on out it's action action action, with a lot of quick character bits mixed in (Halsey and Captain Keyes exchanging looks, the Spartans all listening to Halsey above their orders, high command doesn't trust their own creations-- how many different ways of monitoring their own ships do they have? This is taking surveillance state to a whole new level.)

YAY for Kwan getting a useful moment! If human strength does not avail, use guns tools, that's what we invented them for. No, Kwan, this man does not have a plan. I'm kinda sad the alien artifact activated, it would have been entertaining to watch the other Spartans get involved. (John: "This is our new pet. No, we will not be handing her over to be executed. Yes, she hates us all for very specific valid personal reasons. Roll with it.") Aaaand off they go, escaping to where? Not sure they know and I, with approximately 1% knowledge of this universe, certainly do not.

Finally, hopping back to address the One True Issue that divides the fandom: the helmet scene. It depends on how much the Never Remove the Helmet thing is an irl game artistic choice vs an in-universe character choice. If it's not an actual THING for John-117 himself, then I don't have any problem with it. Different mediums and all that. If it's like the Mandalorian thing, then yeah, it felt a little rushed, but still a necessary moment for humanizing him and building trust ASAP with a hostile teenage girl with a gun.

In conclusion: this was much better than I was expecting! I really enjoyed it and will probably watch the rest of the season while I bake today. And honestly it's been so long since I watched scifi on TV that it was sort of nostalgic? I was just ridiculously pleased by things like establishing shots of Reach and futuristic teenager haircuts.
