(Guiding lost souls very well could be a part of her portfolio after ascension. After all, who can understand lost souls better then another (formerly) lost soul? And she already was forming bonds with sorrowful spirits as a shaman...)

Argenta is a jack-of-all-trades, she can do basically any duty she is assigned to! And good enough, so there wouldn't be any complaints (nothing too spectacular either, but hey)

As long as you don't change them on the fly and during the same stay. And don't ask questions about why her voice sounds different or that her behavior is somewhat unusual :)

okay i finally sorted through 3.9k .wav files and have uploaded most of them to my google drive. pasqal, ulfar, and yrliet are still uploading but overall:

this 5.92 GB folder features every non combat/non exploration dialogue in rogue trader. only argenta and abelard have full transcriptions of their dialogue right now since i injured my thumb doing this lol but eventually everyones dialogue will be labelled. later on when i have a proper internet connection i will also add a mediafire link to the post + a link to a google spreadsheet which will feature all the dialogue as well.

combat and exploration dialogue is coming as well, but they are mashed together with all of the player character dialogue, and each companion has multiple variations of every single combat/exploration line which results in having to sort through 8.9k unlabelled files so it might take a bit.

Updated my old Argenta Lining (dhampir, possesed shaman) portrait (Prologue - Act 2), made a "transitional" version (Act 3 - Act 4) and (finally!) 🦋Azata🦋 version (Act 5 - Epilogue and Inevitable Excess). With Finnean's cameo :3

While i like original azata wings very much, wanted something more personal to her, so Argenta's wings (and tail!) are more cloud-like as a reference to her spirit-side (Silver Lining looks like this). Also they are much more comfortable to sleep with, harder to injure and easier to fold :D

Also Azata!Argenta doesn't suffer from light sensitivity anymore, so her goggles aren't sun-goggles now. She is very exited to finally see the world without a brown filter.

(But is still afraid of flying too high. While also being exited)

is there any particular reason why you went with a different breeder with figaro? asking just because i noticed that your other corsos are all italica's.

A few! Figaro’s breeder is a long time friend of mine and I’ve been trying to get a dog from her for years but the timing hasn’t worked out. Her dogs come from very similar lines and her foundation dog is from Italica.

I actually tried to get my very first Corso out of her first litter with her bitch and Marius’s grandsire, but that litter didn’t take. I co own Marius with his sire’s breeder, Firehorse, so while he is an Italica dog I got him because he was the sire owner’s pick puppy and he had the temperament and pedigree I wanted. I got Marius and then a few months later she had a lovely litter of 12 lol.

Then I was going to get my second Corso from her with another planned pairing between her bitch and an IPO3 male from Italy and that didn’t take either so I got Argenta. She was from a repeat Italica breeding that I met, liked, and handled some of the puppies from and I wanted to get a puppy prior to moving cross country. Gen passed young so I got a replacement puppy for free, which ended up being Octavia. Via was out of two dogs I know very well who are both accomplished working dogs so it was an easy choice even though I lived much further away at the time.

Fig’s breeder is active with her dogs in a variety of sports and has the same priorities that I do for the dogs she produces and the breed itself. While he’s very handsome and her dogs have seen a lot of success in the ring, he’s bred primarily as a working/sport dog. She’s also within driving distance, which is much nicer than having to try and fly a baby bowling ball home.

It’s important to me to support my friend and her program because I believe in her dogs and her vision and I know I can depend on her for support, advice, commiseration, and celebration.

Rogue Trader Update 1.3 is live!

Highlights:

Co-op mode is now available on consoles! Explore the Koronus Expanse together.

Multiple new cutscenes and a major rework of some old cutscenes;

Major increase in availability of conviction points;

A lot of new voiceover, including companion banter, voiced cutscenes, etc. Fixed problems with many voiced lines and pronunciations;

Many narrative updates on colony events and a rich selection of new rewards for them;

Multiple encounters have been redesigned and made significantly more challenging based on community feedback;

Rebalance of equipment and loot tables in Act I-II for better progression;

12 new Force swords were added to the game;

Over 20 other new items were added to loot, rewards and vendors;

Updated character models for Heinrix, Abelard, Kibellah and Argenta to better match their portraits;

A lot of updates to French and German localization as well as consistency pass on abilities and tutorials for all localizations;

You can now rotate the Grand Strategist zones using the R key ("▢" on PS5, and "X" on Xbox);

Demons summoned by Uralon can now properly attack and use their abilities;

Many items previously unavailable to Yrliet and Marazhai can now be worn by them;

My opinion on Rogue Trader companions so far (I just finished act 1)

Idira - deserved better both in story and in gameplay. Seriously, why do enemies target her so much, what did she do?? Also, her insights are very useful, wish I could consult the voices in my head the way she can. And I know for a fact Idira and Vigdis explored each other's bodies, tho I can also see some toxic yuri potential between her and Argenta.

Pasqal - surprisingly chill for a magos! Also, he definitely wants to be called a good boy, but, like, not in a kinky, but platonic way. You know, the same way your dog wants to be called a good boy/good girl. Even though I already play a respectful and chill Rogue Trader, I still try to be a bro to Pasqal (yes, I'm a girl who roleplays as an old dude, what about it?) I do hope that he actually starts seeing you as a close friend/companion later down the story line, because I genuinely love him. Also, Pasqal's melee attacks >>>>>> Pasqal's range attacks.

Argenta - I'm pretty sure at some point in her life, the Emperor sent her back into our time and made her shoot Tr*mp. She missed, as we all know. LIKE. GIRL. PLEASE HIT THE TARGET, I'M BEGGING YOU. Every time it's her turn, I legit start praying to Big E. Story wise... Not gonna lie, out of all the dogmatic leaning characters, I prefer her the most. I especially prefer her over Heinrix. Not that I hate him, and I'm not a big fan of SoB, but... there's something about Argenta that just makes me like her. Though, she is sus. Like really sus. I expect her to do something insane later down the line.

Abelard - MY MAN. Like, yes, I did the quest with the Lower Decks and I know that Abelard is not sunshine and rainbows, in fact, he is quite a classist ass, but! I like that about him! And his dedication and loyalty to both us and Theodora (well, the entire house of Von Valancius) is admirable. I like him a lot :) BUT! I LOVE HIM IN COMBAT. DUDE IS HIM. Every time it's his turn, I know for a fact someone is going to fucking die. AND he is a healer! Dude's theme song is Holding Out For A Hero and I accept no arguments. Might just be my favorite. I hope we get to meet his family, because one of his comments mentioning his youngest great-granddaughter being a working adult made me intrigued. I know that people can extend their life span + he constantly has to travel through the Warp with the Rogue Trader, so I'm curious if they're going to elaborate on that.

Heinrix - I heard a lot about him. I can see why many people thirst over him and ship him with their fem!Rogue Traders and! Good for you! I support yume/self-shipping as well as oc x canon with all my heart! However, he didn't impress me much. Maybe it's because my Rogue Trader is an old man and there were no spicy/romantic dialogue options for him. He is cool, and I did help him complete his mission. Though, I wish he stayed after act 1, because I want to learn more about him... And also I really like him in combat. He's like if Abelard was a psyker, and you already know how much I love Abelard in combat. I wish we get to meet him again.

Cassia - Okay, first things first: I LOVE HER. I love her design and I'm glad we got an abhuman companion, because I want more abhumans in w40k. Love how she is sweet with us and seems, ya know, very demure very mindful, but I do also love she is not like this with everyone, judging by her combat voice lines and how she needs human blood for her paintings. However, that time you are summoned by her after you recruit her to be the ship's Navigator... Hoo boy did I momentarily regret picking a male!Rogue Trader, because *some* of the dialogue options were so cringy and creepy. If you played as a male Rogue Trader, you know what I'm talking about. THANK GOD the game wouldn't reward you for being too fast and too lustful with her from the get-go. Not that I picked those options, but I did read up about Cassia's romance after that event. It does make sense for a sheltered girl like her to be into courtly, romance book type love! Also, she once one-shotted like... 8 enemies with her attack... Really made it easier to focus on Aurora. Blood for Navigator Cassia, skulls for Navigator's Throne!

Jae, Yrliet, Marazhai, Ulfar and Kibellah - I know they exist! REALLY eyeing Marazhai because he is the only possible mlm option in this game. I'm a toxic yaoi whore, I'm sorry. We'll see, because I'm not a fan of Drukhari, but MAYBE Marazhai will make me change my mind.

Rogue Trader sexuality trivia!

Astra is demi. She once went to a brothel with the crew of her former vessel (much smaller and more egalitarian than the von Valancius ship), because she felt that this was something one Has To Do in order to tick off an important coming of age box, and while the experience was physically stimulating, she then went on living her life barely fathoming why and how people develop attraction to others (and especially why they beat themselves up for Sinful Urges in the eyes of the Emperor... Just don't get urges you guys, it's not that hard). And then this fucking old man jumped in with his fucking chainsword to save her from cultists.

Lumen is pan, and open to poly relationships if everyone involved is on board. Her first great love was a fellow lower hive mongrel, a girl who, like Lumen, was designated a series of numbers at birth but then got a nickname to go by. In her case, she was nicknamed Birdie, because she worked at a factory assembly line that made molds for the Aquila symbols they shove everywhere. More sweet and timid than Lumen, Birdie admired her for her adventurous spirit, while Lumen was very protective of Birdie. Eventually, they both got into thievery and black market fencing to help feed the younger orphaned kids that followed them around like lost baby ducklings. Tragically, Birdie failed to make as fast an escape as Lumen one time, and was servitorized. Lumen's very first record on her long rap sheet is "Destruction of Imperial property" because she put Birdie out of her misery. She has been creeped out by servitors ever since, and is very dedicated to wingwomaning both for Idira and Vigdis, and for Argenta and Jae.

Lumen and Birdie used to daydream about flying together one day (i.e. making it to upper hive levels and living in luxury), and what is becoming Rogue Trader if not that? The first thing Lumen says after settling into her new quarters and replacing Theodora's portraits with her own is, "Look Birdie, we are finally flying". In a way, Lumen will always carry Birdie with her, just like Abelard will carry Quatharina; that does not, however, diminish the current relationship they have between themselves.

In addition, when Lumen became more established in the Cold Trade, among her various flings here and there, she committed to two lovers from among her crew. Their names and genders are yet to be determined, but what matters right now is that they instigated the plan to out Lumen to the Inquisition after she got her psychic awakening. Notably, Lover 1 wanted to usurp her position as leader of the gang; while Lover 2 was sincerely terrified of Lumen's new witch powers and convinced that they were doing the right thing by surrendering the monster that was once the woman they loved. Lover 1 turned Lumen's former men into one of the antagonistic gangs on Footfall, and Lumen eventually confronted and killed them in revenge, while Lover 2 had a Come to Emperor moment and joined the Ecclesiasty. Lumen tried to reach out to them and seek closure, but they refused to talk to her. Not the best day in her life, that.

Tumblr is working again so: the first time Cerys saw Heinrix use his biomancy on himself!

Cerys had told her retinue to patch up and prepare before they could descend to the bowels of the monastery, and each of them had followed her request as she and Pasqal concluded their chat with Dahr-Impulse VI. Kibellah lingered close, an attentive shadow - if she was unharmed or not Cerys could only guess, there was a lot of blood, and she wasn't sure how much was the woman's or those unfortunate to get close to her blades, while a frowning Abelard tried to assist Sister Argenta with a gash in her arm, while she unhelpfully sung in anticipation for their coming encounter with Aurora. The Lord Captain had to make a half-turn in order to find Interrogator van Calox, preoccupied with an unlucky slice that had managed to sneak just between the guard on his forearm and the unprotected blood-stained sleeve of his coat. The only indication he was doing something was a subtle dip between his brows, and then as if it were never there, Cerys watched the gap mend itself under his hand, leaving only blood and grime behind. She didn't look away fast enough, and so he caught her staring. The man offered her a smile that barely curved his lips, and did not reach his eyes. "There is no need to worry, Lord Captain. This barely takes effort and uses little of my abilities." He didn't say it. But the implication had been clear enough: he thought she had been keeping a distrustful eye on him. Cerys frowned, taking the lho previously resting at the corner of her lips between her fingers. "I'm not worried, I was simply wondering if you hadn't been offered aid." She looked away briefly, towards Abelard and Kibellah - one still distracted, the other pointedly avoiding to look towards Heinrix. "You're more wary of me than I of you, van Calox." His stare remained impassive, but the lines in his forehead were gone. She proceeded towards the door that had been just opened, giving him no time to answer.

I think Cerys has... undecided feelings about psykers in general, and Heinrix is the first Biomancer she's ever encountered, so she's curious about the kind of abilities he has.

Part of her work in the Guard on her early years of service was protection of Tallarn's Orakles, so I think at some point her feelings detached from good or bad and became rather pragmatic. She's not joining any lines to defend them, but isn't grabbing her weapons and screaming "witch!" right away either.
