Over the years i saw so many brand shills who thought hashtaging is legit harrassing warner brothers and the poor studio suits probably crying and all stressed out at the golf club. They always tried some moral arguments against it and the fandom in general, and it not being just 100% white hetero cis males is not working with their narrative.

I also moved on, not from Zack movies i always loved his movies. But im focusing on Rebel Moon and the Armyverse etc.

Also just let me add cuz i saw it in the notes. I loved the bruce lois idea and superman being an adoptive parent, i think that's beautiful since he was also adopted and zack adopted kids too. But even if i wouldn't like it, im not gonna fight for an artist's creative freedom and being pissed over an unused idea of them so much lol

Random rant, but I'm just wondering why Zack Snyder's Justice League keeps being referenced in media as shorthand for a toxic male space? I dunno about you, but I wrote hashtags, watched the movie on Max, got my DVD, and stfu. All of the people I follow on Twitter and Tumblr from fandom days have moved on to other things: other fandoms, reviewing films, discussing other media.

A lot of the leaders of the DCEU/ZS fandom were women, like the women who put together and hosted JusticeCon. I don't know the demographics of the fandom, but if there are more men than women or non-binary folks, then it's not like that's unusual. Most geek fandoms have more men, like Star Wars, Marvel, and any major video game. And there are infamous contingents of those fandoms who are misogynistic and racist. But for some reason, the DCEU/ZS fandom has become shorthand for a toxic male fandom.

I remember when the movie first came out, I thought people were finally empathetic. People were saying they were glad Zack got his version out after being mistreated following a family tragedy. They said the movie was pretty good, surprisingly good. They were relieved that the fandom would stop campaigning on Twitter.

But now, it seems like that temporary good will has faded, and people are back to making fun of the fans, and by extension, the movie. Making fun of the movie is, at the least, mean. Considering the circumstances that destroyed it in the first place.

Waiting for a year when no one references the movie or its campaigners. A lot of us moved on. You can too.

@cxmmandxr Marie never made friends easily, not quality friends that was, so when Erwin Smith had invited her to stay the weekend in a completely platonic manner with the requirement of no sexual favors on her part, she was surprised. When he won the football game, she found herself excited to take him up on his offer.

The first weekend had not been an isolated incident. He did not ignore her at school, nor did he make the awkward incident that had sparked their friendship known. As the team continued to win, Marie continued to find hospitality in the Smith household, genuinely enjoying his company. 

She knew it was only a matter of time before he ended up at her place, not to stay, but because the weather was growing steadily colder, and his concern did not want her walking through town alone during frigid weather. 

At first she thought she should pull away. It’s not like he would want to stick around after seeing the hovel she came from anyway, but if she was honest with herself, she knew that she didn’t want to push him away. She liked him. She actually, earnestly liked him, and was on her way to understanding why it was he didn’t want to sleep with her.

Yet, at least. 

When at last she had allowed him to give her a ride home so she could grab some more clothes, she didn’t let him follow her inside, keeping him safe in his backwards car, and when she returned, ripping herself from the perverse grip of her mother’s current boyfriend, she remained silent on the ride back, mortified that Erwin had been to witness it. 

The next time, he went with her. 

It was odd to her, endearing even, that he worried enough for her that he thought she was in danger entering to her own house, but she supposed an over six foot football player really wasn’t a bad bodyguard. 

“Alright,” she sighed as they parked outside the decrepit excuse for a dwelling, giving his upper thigh a gentle squeeze, “record time, okay? In and out, and we can forget about this shit hole for three days.”
