my Itto tkl headcanons!!

i don't know much about this guy to be honest stick with me here hhhhh

a really playful ler, a very loud (but bratty) lee

can and will tickle you to bits, has done it at least twice to all of his friends

likes to laugh along with his lees, causing them to laugh more because his laugh is super contagious

you can say stop all you want, he knows you don't really mean it

will stop immediately if you say the safeword though and will ask if you're alright with a hair ruffle

as a lee though he's just adorable

Itto, ticklish? the one and oni? pfffff no?? (yes)

his laugh is loud and cackly and again super contagious

will 100% punch your shoulder

very very much so a thrasher. generally two people have to gang up on him, one holding him down

his abs are 1000% ticklish, a couple pokes and you can get an "AAH" out of him

will admit he's ticklish but he is kinda embarrassed about it

"i mean, yeah, but so what... doesn't even really matter, pshh... why are you looking at me like that?"

Kuki and Ayato have definitely teamed up against him more than once

worst spots would probably be his underarms, idk he just sorta gives that vibe to me

hey hey hey!! tbh i'm surprised i haven't thought more about this but i defo have a few ideass

MIKE:

a pretty even switch, doesn't lean to one side over the other

mostly tickles Abby ofc, mainly to cheer her up if she's feeling lonely

he's a pretty quiet ler, doesn't say too much but has the most mischievous smile ever

ofc he's a great ler he's an older brother what did you expect

a big raspberry blower, loves how much they make Abby squeal and laugh because he thinks it's the best sound in the whole wide world

his stubble would make it 100x worse help

as a lee he's also pretty quiet, this man tries so hard not to laugh like his life depends on it but always fails every time

pretty much only ever tickled by Abby, although Vanessa did accidentally brush against his side once when they were passing each other in a narrow hallway at Freddy's and he jumped out of his skin (she still has no idea what happened)

has quiet, breathy chuckles and laughs, but will legit squeal if you get him in a bad spot (eg: his shoulder blades which Abby thinks is hilarious)

he doesn't hate them but he'd never admit that. ever. not even on his deathbed.

ABBY:

another solid switch, but is lee leaning because of Mike

loves tickles and finds them super fun, she likes laughing and making other people (Mike) laugh

won't ask for them straight out, but she'll sit next to Mike on the couch and stretch and sigh really dramatically to which her brother just laughs and wrecks her

probably has ticklish ears because adorable!!

not many people know how she's able to tickle Mike so easily to bits but she just kinda does, she's gotten scarily good at it and he just doubles over immediately

definitely laughs along with Mike while she's tickling him as she rarely gets to hear his laugh and i think both of their laughs are pretty contagious

it always makes her super happy to see her brother relax even for just a few minutes

warning: i don’t know much about this guy so bear with me lol

okay for starters i feel like he’s a switch, but just ever so slightly ler-leaning

although he DEFINITELY gets his fair share of tickles when he’s being a little too obnoxious, mainly by Prune Juice and Kouign-Amann because i think they’re all best friends

he tries not to thrash around too much because he’s afraid his strength will hurt his ler :(

his laugh is just as explosive as his personality is, it’s like deep belly laughter that’s super loud and cackly when you actually tickle him, he yelps super loudly if you just poke him

big “HAH, BRING IT ON!! YOU CAN’T BREAK ME!” energy

you’d think you’d have to pin him down because of how strong he is but nope. as soon as you start tickling him he just sort of collapses either onto the ground or into your arms

he’s not embarrassed about being ticklish at all, he can say it and all that, sometimes he just straight up asks for it and Kouign-Amman and Prune Juice are like “okay get over here” and he proceeds to get wrecked

he thinks it’s all just great fun though, he loves laughing

Is it bad that I kind of want Yelena’s side of things for the first half of True Aim 😂😂. I can just picture Kate accidentally liking Yelena’s post and Yelena being in her phone like “oh it’s that cute archer girl. Might as well get to know her/like all her posts”

It's not bad at all! Last year I considered doing either that or a one-shot epilogue, but everything is on the backburner now while I am trying to get back into writing.

Yelena would be so smug about Kate accidentally liking her photo, too-- you can bet she has teased her about it on numerous occasions. :D

I believe I said I would write a very long comment about Days in Violet a while ago so better late than ever. Get ready cause this might be long. And scatterbrained.

Let me tell how much of a good thing it is that I found this story and you took a break from writing it when they had already kissed. Especially since they weren’t in a good place before the lake scene. The anguish, the angst, the almost tragedy. At least with the happy chapter, if you stopped writing it, I could pretend that it had a happy ending, you know? This storied would have pLagUEd my mINd like you would not fucking believe. I mean it still does but at least not in an anguished way.

It also helped that I looked up Boston Marriage just to double check and the definition was “historically, the cohabitation of two wealthy women, independent of financial support from a man”. So I’m assuming there better be a happy ending. But also “wealthy” 👀👀?

But also I found the playlist! Which is great because I listen to music instead of thinking actual thoughts. The song From Eden? Chef’s kiss. It is now one of my favorite songs to exist. The song in relation the story? Double Chef’s kiss. I don’t know if you went that deep when you were choosing the songs, but the in-depth analysis I could give on the lyrics in relation to the story?? If it was possible to send a word doc through tumblr I might. There are other song choices to praise but that’s the one that’s sticking out right now.

May I also praise you in Yelena’s decision to wear men’s clothes? I think we definitely her decision to not give a flying fuck about what people care about her clothes and it works for her. We all saw it in Hawkeye when she wore a fur jacket, an I Love New York Tshirt, and an abundance of chain necklaces. If her clothing style is a little out there in modern times I can totally see her breaking the norm back then. In anyone else I feel like my reaction to both eras of dress would be “weird but you do you boo”, but then on Yelena: insert the Lady Gaga “amazing, show-stopping”meme.

I also love your characterization of Yelena and Kate. Yelena’s out see she’s seen some of the worst in humanity and I think you captured her sadness/world-weariness that we see in canon. Kate also has this almost innocent or light that Yelena is drawn to and falls in love with.

Sorry for the long, long comment! I just want Kate to abandon her mother and run away with Yelena and live happily ever after in New York. Is that too much to ask? I can’t wait for the next update but also no pressure, live your life. I will literally wait however long (though preferably within the next decade or at least year).

Let me start off by saying that all that you pointed out was intentional from the get go. The reason why it's been now a year since I wrote anything DiV related is because I got stuck in trying to make the last 1/3 of the story as deliberate and as thought out as everything so far.

I did stop at that exact point because I wouldn't bear it to stop at an angsty point because I am a reader as well as a writer and I wouldn't have wanted to leave the people who read my fics hanging. I mean I still have but there is that 'soft' happy semi-ending there to tide you all over until I pick it up again.

Yelena's choice of clothes is definitely a nod to her going against the grain in canon and this was the best way to show it in DiV setting. Kate being a huntswoman = archer. The prep for this fic lasted MONTHS while I wanted to make all pieces of the puzzle fit together neatly and I am glad it's noticeable!

As far as the music goes, every single song and its lyrics have been put there intentionally, because they follow the story. If you listen to the songs towards the end, you can gauge where the story will go without many spoilers.

Finally, Kate is already wealthy with an untapped potential in anything flower-related and Yelena is already building her reputation as a tailor so if they get out of their little town... who knows what can happen ;)

What’s up? It’s interview asker again. So I was rereading True Aim for the zillionth time in a row and I was wondering: when Yelena meets Kate for the first time, Yelena says she recognizes her cause Kate is big in Russia. I guess my question is did Yelena have a crush or think Kate was attractive before meeting her in person? Or was it attraction at first sight thing. Or I guess what was Yelena’s side of things in general? Sorry for the long ask!

That's an awesome question and an amazing little tidbit that you noticed there, I don't think anyone has asked me this yet. :)

I would say that Yelena definitely found Kate attractive, and then more so when she saw her in person. Considering Yelena's past and having to be in the closet all of her life, I don't think she would have let herself crush on a woman from the other side of the world, especially one so different than herself.

But then she saw her and they clicked and there was no turning back. I like to think that she realized she is really into Kate when they were running from the security guards that night. :D

Please do send me comments about DiV! I am getting back into writing in general very slowly but I do want to get back to it, especially since I have the entire plot planned out since the very beginning.

1: So what made you start writing? Have you always had a talent for it or is it a more recent thing?

2: if you were to be remembered for a work of art, what medium and then what genre/subject would you want it to be for?

3: what made you want to write off Kate/Yelena in particular? Did you see the macaroni scene and was like “yes, the chemistry is off the charts” or did you just like one of them and said the other character was a good a match as any?

Hi! Thank you for the questions, it was a nice surprise to see this morning :)

I've always written stories, ever since I was a little kid. Blame it on my bookworm tendencies ever since I learned how to read (which was very early in life). I always loved to immerse myself into adventure books and mostly in my native language up until high school years, when I finally started consuming larger books in English too. I then realized that my already developing talent for writing was even better expressed in English so I honed it for years, particularly during my MA studies in English literature, and here we are now. Fanfic, in particular, I started writing during my MA years in 2013 with the Orphan Black fandom.

It would definitely have to be a book, prose, and genre-wise I am not too picky, but it would be cool to be a period piece or fantasy. Absolutely sapphic as well.

It was 100% the on-screen chemistry between Florence and Hailee. It was insane and I believe that all Bishova fans would unanimously agree on that. The way they go against each other as polar opposites in so many things makes it even more interesting to explore in a romantic setting, and their character tropes would go well together in many many many AUs, situations and worlds when put together. I just love those two so much.

Have you ever written a supernatural/dalton crossover? If so, where could I find it?

I have not actually finished and posted a “Dalton characters meet SPN characters".  I have a couple ideas in my head, and two unfinished ideas I decided were thoroughly unsatisfying; though in "That Shady Back Alley Bar" I merged universes in such a way assuming hunting and things like The Roadhouse are real.  Any “Characters meet" fics would end up here: SPN tag I was actually talking the other day on Plurk about an idea I have for a fic; so most likely you’ll see something in the tag soon. :)
