more artemisposting because i'm still extremely relieved that no, they were not in fact removed from the game when the devs restructured the main story quests

i dimly remember someone on the nms subreddit actually zooming in on artemis's character model and noticing that their multitool had a unique model which lead to the headcanon that they're really good with technology and built it themself (in the "fuck you they live" au i have they build one for orpheus too as a thank-you gift for going to so much trouble to find them)

they've been able to see weak spots in the barriers between parallel universes (which is...implied to be the reason for in-game traveler encounters?) since they were very young (my "ship meets very briefly as kids but by the time they meet again as adults they don't remember that they've met before until a pivotal moment" weakness strikes again 😔)

their species is most closely analogous to salamanders but has cephalopod-esque chromatophores, which is why the wall decal and ship deco of Artemis are different colors. there's no shippy reason for this i just think it's neat

Thoughts I had while drawing this: low key. Franky has a muppet face.

Also this might be the first time I've drawn Franky. I kinda forgot to do it cause I was reading, so he gets to take up half the page of my daily journal.

So I love farming sims, and every time there's a pet option, I've gone for an orange cat and named it Growley, after my cat. I started Roots of Pacha when it came out on PC and then got it again when it came out on switch. Between that time, my cat passed away, but I still named my little orange cat (mountain lion) in the new switch save after him.

So this is somewhat of a warning and somewhat of just an info thing for anyone who plays the game. The NPCs will talk about your pets by name. I didn't know this going into the new save cause I don't think they did when the game first dropped.

But I'd like to say thank you to whoever in development put this idea forward, because I feel like I get to talk about him like he's alive again.

(Theres also a festival where you can paint on the walls using pixal art and it stays there the next year as well which is what the last image is) and yeah he's my character and my little pixal cat. Miss you dude.
