A/N: Law is such a touch-starved disaster in this god bless him. Don't worry...this is my last drunk post. I don't wanna accidentally promote alcoholism on this good Christian hellsite I just need to write my fav blorbo drunk and in love once and then I'm good.

"You know, for as smart as Law is you really can manipulate him into just about anything," Nami says. "He's no better than Luffy, as soon as you tell him he can't do something he has to go and try it."

"Huh?" You're drunk, and by the look of the Straw Hat's navigator significantly more so than her. (What are the Straw Hats' livers made out of? Steel?)

You follow your gaze to your captain, Trafalgar Law, and feel a giddy bubble of laughter make its way through you. "I'm just happy to see him cut loose for once," you say. From the looks of it he might actually be tipsy. Law’s cheeks are flushed a little and he’s talking animatedly about something. The shine in his eyes captivate you. 

Yeah, you're definitely feeling the effects if you're openly giggling at the sight of him.

Despite your last thought you take another sip of your drink. It stopped tasting sweet and sharp a while ago and is starting to taste more and more like I should be next to him.

"He's so beautiful when he's happy," you mutter.

"What?!" Nami presses her hand flush to her chest and turns to look at you. A mischievous grin passes over her tipsy face, "beautiful, huh?" She pokes your side playfully and giggles. "What's that supposed to mean?”

"Nothing!" You flinch away from her and drain your drink to quench your suddenly dry mouth. "You like seeing Luffy happy! It's the same thing!"

She laughs so loud and so hard she nearly falls out of her chair. "Oh yeah! Sure! But have you ever heard me call Luffy beautiful?"

At that exact moment you watch Luffy snort with laughter and shoot beer out of his nose. 

"Point taken.”

“He’s not my type, that’s for sure,” Nami says.

“No, your type is Alabastan princesses,” you tease back. 

“Hey!” Her ears pink a little more. “It’s not…” she stammers. “You know what! You’re getting me my next drink just for that!” She pushes her empty mug towards you. “Chop! Chop, Y/N! I’m thirsty!” 

You roll your eyes. It’s true all the Straw Hats are bossy in one way or another, no wonder they exhaust Law. You grab her mug and yours and head to the bar for another round.

Your eyes move back to where you last saw Law talking with someone, except he wasn’t there anymore. Where did he go? The room’s crowded with people talking and laughing, yelling and singing. Between the alcohol and another raucous round of Binx’s Sake sung across the banquet, it’s hard to focus. Did he leave already? Disappointment washed over you, but you weren’t surprised. That would be your captain, Trafalgar Law, ever restrained. 

You sighed. Hopefully he didn’t go back to the ship to get more work done. You fill up yours and Nami’s cup and start to head back to your seat. 

“You’re drinking poison, you know that Y/N-ya?” 

You nearly jump out of your skin at the hot breath against the shell of your ear. Then, you process what was said to you. Poison? Instinctively you reach for a weapon, and then remember you left it behind. 

“What? Law—” 

Barely have room to turn around, he’s standing so close to you. The flush in cheeks is darker than you realized and his dark eyes have lost some of their sharpness. A mischievous smirk plays upon his lips. “And you tell me I need to lighten up?” You’re not met with the level of seriousness you normally expect from your captain. “This,” he holds his mug up, only nearly sloshing its contents, “is poison. It’s the ethanol. That’s what slows you down, it’s not all that different from slowly poisoning yourself.” He puts the cup up to his lips and tips it back. You watch his Adam’s apple bob as he swallows, the muscles of his neck visible to you until they disappear into his collar bones. You wish you could run your fingers down the column of his throat and watch goosebumps rise in your wake. If he would even have anyone.

It must be the drinks. That’s the only reason you can think of to explain why you want to place your hand there and feel his skin. To touch him. 

“Neither of us should be drinking this, Y/N-ya,” he says. There’s no sterness in his tone like he would if he was lecturing you, in fact, you realize your captain’s likely joking with you…in his own way. 

“Well, sometimes you have to die a little to live a little.” You wink at him. 

Law’s lips part a little and his eyes widen. “I–You–” He looks away from you and takes another sip. “That’s your justification? Ridiculous.”

“It sure is!” You can feel your heart pounding in your chest as you take a small step closer, deciding to tease him a little. After all, he started it first by sneaking up on you, “what’s yours?”   

Law stares at you—speechless. 

“You’re something else, you know that?” You don’t have time to hide your laughter except behind your hand. “You don’t need to justify yourself, Law. I’m just happy you’re here!” 

Warmth spreads across your captain’s face. It travels up to the tips of his ears which look crimson next to his spotted white hat and down his chest to the heart tattoo that rests there. For a moment you fixate on his skin, the ink swirling across it, the blood pumping underneath, a sign that he’s alive and solid, standing in front of you. Curiosity rears its untameable head, how can you know he’s solid if you’ve never touched him? A missing piece of Law sits in front of you and you want. 

“Just don’t drink too much,” he says quickly and side steps to walk around you. 

You watch him go, shaking your head with a smile. “I would say, hope he does the same, but it’d be funny if he didn’t.” 

“Y/N!!” Nami calls. “Where’s my drink!?”

“Coming!” 

Later…

Oh yeah, you’ve done it now. Somewhere between fruitlessly trying to keep up with Nami, drowning your thoughts of Law, and enjoying the party, you’re certain you’ve overdone it…and you’ve only accomplished the latter. 

“That’s enough or I’m gonna die,” you stand up and your head swims. You use the chair you were sitting in to stablize yourself. 

“Boo!” Shachi says weakly. Although his head is resting on the table, barely awake.

“Yeah, Boo!” Nami repeats.“Who’s gonna watch me drain your crew of all their money?!” 

 You shrug,“Bepo will.”

The first mate of the Heart Pirates was laid out on the floor asleep. 

“Any chance you know where Law is?” 

“Last I saw him, he went outside,” Penguin says. He grins and laughs a little before slipping out of his chair with a thud.

Safe to say the Heart Pirates were a crew of light weights. 

You stumble toward the door that leads out to the balcony. Outside the night air is cold enough to send a shiver through you, but Penguin didn’t send you out there for nothing. Law is sitting with his legs between the balcony bars, his head leaning on another. In the light of paper lanterns you saw his hand moving in quick small movements. Next to him sat an empty bottle of umeshu.

“Either you’re jacking off out here or you’re working. Only one of those things would be disappointing to me,” you say. In the back of your mind you know you’d never say something like that out loud but alcohol makes your lips loose. 

The sound Law makes is less than controlled as he jerks a book shut and sits on it. “NEVER SAY THAT AGAIN!”  

You start laughing and fall down next to him unceremoniously, nearly landing flat on your back. “I’m sorry, captain! I couldn’t–I couldn’t help myself!” you howl with laughter. “Please! I didn’t–the joke was just right there!” 

You hear Law grumble-slur something, but he’s either too drunk or too tired to get up and leave you because he stays where he is. 

“I mean it,” you say, catching your breath. “I am sorry. I just came out here to tell you I think the party’s dying down. You can come inside if you want to. It’s only supposed to get colder tonight.” 

“I will when I’m ready,” Law slurs. 

“As always,” you sigh heavily. “I’ve learned to stop expecting you to do something just because I think it’s a good idea

That wins you a brief smile from your captain, a rarity, surely brought out of him by the drink alone. “You…you can stay,” he says quietly. “If you’d like to. I don’t care either way. Really, I don’t. ” 

Normally, you’d at least begin to believe him, but you know your captain…and he’s already draped half of his long blue coat around you. The scent cologne and antiseptic envelope you. 

“You probably should’ve said that before you put your coat around me, Law.” 

He tenses for a moment. The brim of his hat hides his eyes. “Forgive me, Y/N-ya I’m being ridiculous,” he mumbles.

So shy! 

“I was going to stay anyway,” you say, before he can pull away. “And thank you, I’m probably chillier than I know.” 

The two of you sit in comfortable silence for a while connected only by this moment and Law’s coat draped over both of you. You can feel the warmth radiating from his arm, his side, his thigh, all nearly touching you. 

“Did you have a good time?” 

“As long as I don’t remember any of this tomorrow, you can tell me I did.” 

“Good!” You chirp. “I’ll take it!” 

Law picks up the bottle and takes a long pull. “Did you?” 

“Yup! It’s the first party I’ve been to in a long time. Actually, I haven’t been to any, but that’s another story from before…well, everything.” 

Law snorts, but he doesn’t turn back to leaning his head on the guard bars, instead he stares at you with an expression close to contentment. “Good,” he says. 

Your faces stay a few inches from each other. There’s an eyelash resting on his cheek, just out of your reach and before you can think you gently cup your captain’s face and swipe the eyelash away. 

In an instant he’s solid. Smooth skin and bone rest just below your fingertips. And somehow, despite the sharp angles of Law’s face all you feel is softness and warmth against your skin. To your surprise he doesn’t move away. 

“I’m sorry, you just had an eyelash…” You go to pull your hand back and Law catches your wrist in a grip that’s nearly too tight.

His eyes flutter as he rests his face in your hand. “It feels so nice,” he says. He doesn’t stop you when you slide your fingers up his sideburns into the silky spikes of his hair. You remove his hat and place it beside him. 

Contact between you and Law has been minimal, even after you explained your devil fruit only works on inanimate objects. You think he’s been especially cautious around you not to touch you–even if by accident. Touch doesn’t come easy to you, unconsciously building a wall between yourself and others, with Law being the same that wall felt doubly thick. Only to come crashing down over drinks and an errant eyelash. Touching Law plugs a hole dug out of both want and curiosity that you’ve been ignoring.

Law leans into you as if being pulled down by magnetism until he’s almost on top of you. Your thumb settles behind his ear along the nape of his neck and rubs back and forth slowly. 

You look down at him, his eyes shut and lips barely parted. If it weren’t for the fingers working up the back of your shirt, you’d think he was asleep. Law’s hand stops at the small of your back, resting there like a warm patch. It feels so utterly right having the captain of the Heart Pirates in your arms, as if holding Law was one of the many things they were made for. 

Honesty takes over you. “I think I like being close to you, Law. It feels…warm…good,” you speak softly. If you could be like this all the time you wouldn’t complain. You receive a throaty rumble in response, not unlike a purring animal. “You must be drunk,” you chuckle.

“Extremely.” 

You’re not sure if you feel like you’re spinning from all the alcohol or because of this moment with Law. Eventually you begin to hum softly, and sleep begins to take hold of you. 

“Y/N-ya,” you hear Law say groggily. 

You hum a sound in response to show you’re still awake to listen to him. Law’s arms tighten around you and you understand instantly what he won’t let himself say. Against both your better judgment you drift off to sleep together on the balcony.  

The Next Morning…

Law awakens to dawn’s blinding sun and a pounding headache. His mouth feels cottony and his stomach roils in a way that doesn’t immediately threaten vomit but could. The second thing he takes in is that he’s outside; he never made it to his bed or any bed for that matter. And third, you. 

You’re still asleep, your chin nearly touching your chest and soft snore escaping you with every exhale. You don’t stir as he pulls himself away from you. The realization that he slept on you rocks through him. The sun’s barely risen and his heart’s already racing.

What did I do? 

He rubs at his eyes and scrubs a hand through his hair. Where’s my hat? He quickly finds it and pulls the brim down low enough to block the sun. 

Law takes off his jacket and covers you with it, only when he’s wrapped it around your shoulders do you grumble and smack your lips sleepily. “Don’t worry, Law. All’s good, had fun,” you mumble. 

He freezes. Out of everything he thought you would say, reassuring him didn’t cross his mind. 

Your eyes crack open just enough to look at his stunned face. “Yesterday’s already forgotten.” Loose limbed, you make a sealed lips gesture as if to say your secret's safe with me. 

Law stands and grabs his journal. He takes one more glance at you and feels butterflies flutter from his stomach up to his chest. That's the second time he's felt safe around you, he notes. It's information he chooses to ignore.

A/N: i spent so long just rereading this, i don’t know why but it feels kind of hard to understand? so i might revise it again in the future idk yet! i hope you enjoy reading, again this is very very loosely based on kate and anthony’s season in bridgerton! it was originally going to be 2 parts, but it’s looking like a full on series now… lmk if you want to be tagged in future parts! enjoy! <3

Part 2

Now that your feelings for Law have been revealed- not only to him but to yourself- you find the tension between the two of you is undeniably different from before.

What were once looks of contempt now harbor some quiet desire. Chances of accidentally brushing shoulders when you pass by each other are avoided altogether, for fear of fueling a fire neither of you know how to deal with. And any crass or biting quips are cut out of your minimal interactions completely, as you both now feel they come off as flirtatious rather than standoffish.

A few days have gone by since you confronted Law and he admitted his true feelings for you, all of which have been spent at sea. Nami says there won’t be an island to dock at for at least another three days, given how the weather is slowing the ship, so your crew’s only source of entertainment is each other.

“Y/n,” she asks while the two of you along with Robin relax on the deck, “what happened between you and Traffy the other day?”

Your breath hitches and you cough unnecessarily, already giving away your nervousness to the two very observant women. “Uh, not much.”

“Well, what did you two talk about? You didn’t come back to the table after, so I thought you must have stayed together…” Robin smiles softly, baiting you to reveal more.

“What? No, no, oh my god no… We just…”

Nami urges you on with a sing-song voice; “You just?”

“We… talked.”

“Talked about what?”

“I don’t know. Our issues with each other.”

“And you resolved them?”

“Come on, y/n, tell us what happened!”

“Nothing happened.”

You stand up then, too annoyed to continue talking to your friends. It’s not even their fault really; you would want to know what had gone on too, if the roles were reversed. Maybe you’re just annoyed with yourself for not being able to face your own feelings.

With no particular destination in mind, you find yourself in the Thousand Sunny’s library. When you open the door, you see Law browsing the selection of books your crew has accumulated throughout your travels. You shouldn’t be surprised to see him, but you are.

That’s what it must be; what other reason could there be for the sudden raving of your heart and your breath hitching? Any feelings you ever had for him were buried deep inside after last night; too deep to allow yourself to feel them to the extent you were currently, and so these must all be signs of surprise.

You steel yourself and walk in, letting the door close behind you. Law looks up to find out who the person intruding on his studying is, but his eyes are blown wide when he makes eye contact with you. Neither of you speaks as you turn away and cross the room in quick strides to another section of the library.

“Stupid Law,” you think as you try to calm your mind- an impossible task when he’s standing anywhere in the same room. “Stupid weather,” preventing you from getting to an island so you can get some damn space from him. “Stupid library, ” because of its shelves that make it all too easy and tempting to peak through and catch a glimpse of him.

Actually, maybe that’s not too risky of an idea. Cautiously, you bend down slightly and pretend to scan the titles on the shelf. You allow your eyes to slowly wander off the books until you can see Law by peering upwards. But low and behold, he’s staring right back at you.

You gasp and stand up straight, silently cursing your silly plan.

“Y/n.” He walks over to you, 2 books tucked under his arm. “l was under the impression you wanted me to keep your distance from me.”

“I do.”

“I find that hard to believe with the way you’ve been acting around me.”

“It’s just weird. You made me admit that I had feelings for you, and now things are weird.”

“I made you? You didn’t have to say anything, you could’ve rejected me and we both would’ve moved on.”

“I did reject you.”

“By telling me you feel the same? That’s some rejection.”

“You shouldn’t have said anything in the first place.”

“I had to, you told me that you thought I hated you.”

“But I didn’t make you say that you have feelings for me, and so now you’ve made it impossible to ignore.”

“Believe me, I tried to ignore it. To ignore you. It was pointless.”

“Then you weren’t trying hard enough. I could’ve gone a lifetime without bringing up the way I feel for you if it means my crew will be able to continue this alliance for our goals.”

“Don’t give me that shit, your captain made this alliance because he thinks we’re friends. You seriously think he had a goal in mind while doing so?”

With a roll of your eyes, you cross your arms over your chest. “Maybe not, but Luffy is the captain- I trust him, and so I follow him in any endeavor he believes in.”

“Well, I’m the captain of my own crew, and I believe that whatever we have going on is a little more than ally-ship.”

“Regardless of whatever is going on between us, is it really a smart idea to complicate such an important alliance?”

“…No. I suppose it’s not.”

“Then drop it-” You turn, ready to forget about this conversation and continue hiding your feelings away when he grabs your wrist.

“But they wouldn’t care, y/n, and you know that. Your crew thrives on-” he gestures vaguely with his free hand, “-friendship and rainbows and joy.”

Shaking off a smile, you bite back. “That might be true, but you know what’s even more important to my crew? Protecting each other. They wouldn’t like me being with you; even if we are temporary allies, you’re a Captain of another crew and one of the Supernovas. So don’t tell me what they would and wouldn’t be ok with.”

Law seems to think for a second before he releases your wrist. “Hmph.”

Finally, you take your leave to find somewhere- with no Law and no watchful friends- to just think.

You settle on the bow of the ship. If you had an ability like Luffy’s or any guarantee that you wouldn’t slip right off and into the sea, you would like to sit on the masthead of the Sunny. A clear, unobstructed view of the world ahead, and the breeze to keep the hair out your eyes could be so peaceful. But, this has some sort of charm to it as well; you do seem to love a challenge (even if it’s one as simple as having to lean over the railing of a ship to see the horizon).

With a cheerful call, the man you had just been thinking of joins you on the railing by the ship’s bow. Luffy speaks animatedly of his plans for all sorts of things, but during a lull in conversation, he asks you something unexpected.

“Do you love him?”

“What?”

“Traffy! Do you love him?”

“I…”

“You’ve said how much you hate him, but that just means your feelings for him are strong. So you love him, right?”

You’ve never been more bothered to hear Luffy say something so uncharacteristically observant.

“I love you guys.”

He hums. “But that doesn’t mean you can’t love other people, too.”

“…I won’t ever leave this crew, Luffy.”

“Of course you won’t!” He latches onto you in an iron-grip hug, and you smile ever so slightly. “But, y/n.”

“Yeah?”

He releases you and instead grabs your shoulders to talk to you face to face. His face seems especially serious- the same way it does when he makes a bold declaration of his dreams or beliefs. “If you love someone, you tell them. You don’t hide it, because you never know when they could be gone.”

Finally, your barely-there smile opens into a full grin. “When did you get to be so wise?”

Luffy shrugs. “Shanks told me that once, I just felt it made sense for you too.”

You and your captain stay there a while longer, giggling over this and that until the sun starts to set on the horizon.

“I'm gonna go sit on Sunny- you wanna come with me?”

Though you’d been fantasizing over what it would feel like up there just a few minutes ago, you shake your head. “No thanks. But, uh, Luffy?”

“Yeah?”

“Could you… not tell anyone about what we talked about?”

“Huh? Oh, yeah, for sure!”

You would come to regret being so vague with your captain, even if he does occasionally display astonishing emotional intelligence.

At dinner- where there’s always something going on- you make an effort to sit far from Law. Your attempt is in vain, however, as he ends up right across from you. Luffy sits to your left, and while he takes a small break from stuffing his mouth, he nudges you with his elbow.

Your eyes meet your captain’s as he winks at you, then looks over at Law, and back to you. You can practically see the gears turning in his head as he had some sort of… plan in the works. With a wide grin, he asks, “Soooo Y/n, when are you and Traffy going to get married?”

A moment of silence passes before laughter erupts around the table from everyone except you and “Traffy.” The latter covers his face with one hand and pinches the bridge of his nose while you look simply horrified.

What had happened to not speaking of your earlier conversation? Admittedly, you had spoken of several subjects after your discussion of your feelings for Law… and knowing Luffy, he could have mistaken your vow of silence to be for any one of those subjects.

Since you’re sure your captain didn’t mean to embarrass you with his straightforward view of relationships, you just shake your head and give a muttered response. “We- we’re not, um, going to….”

Law, on the other hand, appears too bothered to stick around and listen to any more jokes. He stands abruptly and disappears in a flash of blue light.

You stick around long enough to finish your plate, then thank Sanji and leave quietly. Some unknown force draws you to Law, when you see him in Nami’s little grove of orange trees. Cautiously, you approach him.

“…Law? I- I’m sorry about that. I don’t know why Luffy said that.”

“It was embarrassing.”

“Okay, Law, they were all just joking. And I can’t even really blame them, because this entire situation is pretty fucking ridiculous.”

“No, y/n, it’s embarrassing that everybody knows how I feel and that you feel the same, and they’re all happy with the idea of us together, but you still don’t want to be with me.”

“It’s not personal, you know that.”

“How can it not be personal?”

“Everything I do is for my crew. I have a duty to them, and not even you or my own feelings will get in the way of that.”

“Do you seriously still believe that they would care if we were together?”

You purse your lips.

“I took your word for it at first, because you know your own crew better than I do, but clearly they have very little regard for what we do. Now I am inclined to believe that you made it up when you said they wouldn’t like us being… being something. And as foolish as I feel after believing that ridiculous excuse, I still want you, y/n. Tell me you want me too.”

“How much?” You ask with a fierce look.

“How much what?”

“How much do you want me, Law? You keep talking about your feelings for me, but you haven’t even said what they are.”

Again, you seem to find any way to continue arguing with the man before you as a means of releasing pent-up feelings. Just kissing him might be easier, but also a whole lot more terrifying and uncertain.

“Desire, attraction, whatever you want to call it-“

“Well, I’m not going to put everything on the line for someone who is attracted to me.”

“It’s more than that, you know that-“

“You know what I think?”

“…What?”

“I think that you can’t even admit to yourself- let alone aloud- the extent of your feelings for me. You want me to say it first so that nothing bad will happen if you put yourself out there, and that’s not going to happen.”

“I-“ He starts to speak, but can’t think of a rebuttal. You have him pegged. “I may not know exactly what my feelings are yet, but I can feel them, y/n. You remain on my mind constantly- so if you want me to stop feeling for you, then you need to stop.”

“Oh, I need to stop?”

“Yes, you-“

“You’re the one constantly making me reconsider everything I tell myself. You are the one who needs to stop.”

“Before what? Before we give in to this… obvious desire, and put aside duties to do something for ourselves?”

Heavy breathing fills the silence. He always manages to rile you up, and you can’t stand it.

“You should go. No, in fact,” you raise your hands in a gesture of surrender, “I’ll go.”

Without giving him the chance to respond, you flee down the stairs to the main deck and through the doors to the cabin hall. All this back and forth with Law is giving you a headache.

You can’t deny it any longer though; now that your captain knows too, it’s like you’ve spoken it into permanent existence. You’re in love with Law, and there’s next to nothing stopping you from being with him in the way you truly desire. Not even your sense of duty.

You should never have counted on the Strawhats to hold you back from something- or someone you love.

like i know that lawlu will never happen but i love it anyways. cuz why the fuck not? why the fuck not imagine that law has fallen head over heels for the monkey boy that barelled into his life and saved it asking for nothing in return and trusting you when all logic says he probably shouldn't? why become invested in your pirate rival's future and wellbeing enough to go to the war you happened to hear he started and save him before he kills himself out of recklessness? you met exactly once before this. why do you care law??? WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!?!

you know what other one piece ship i love that has real concrete basis for? (altho censorship and heteronormativity may still prevent it of course) --- zolu!!!! undying love and devotion and trust in one another??? captain and first mate???? the only man Mr. Greedy Gut Luffy himself would ever/has ever offered to share his food with????? incredible.

just because i believe that zolu is legit and beautiful and endgame does not invalidate my wholehearted belief that law is in love with luffy and my desire to imagine "what if luffy liked law back?"

One Piece reaction - Punk Hazard

Honestly, I don't have much to say about Punk Hazard. It's very much a setup arc, and that's okay. We're finally diving into the world after the two-year time skip and making waves.

I did love the bodyswap episodes. Smoker and Tashigi's swap made me laugh a lot just from the way their personalities were conveyed via clothing changes. It was sooooo weird seeing Smoker with his shirt closed.

I managed to predict Law's involvement as soon as I saw the samurai legs, I'm pretty proud of that.

I love the new running gag where Luffy picks up a Transponder Snail and immediately gives away his full name and his goal to become king of the pirates.

You know, when they first talked about how Law became a warlord, I was pretty shocked people could simp for him. After the episode where he joins the alliance, I get it. This man is an edgy, but magnificent bastard and I cannot fault him for that.

(plus he wears hoodies and long sleeves all the time and nobody who's mentally stable wears a hoodie in this universe)

I'm glad we got to learn the limits of Law's power. The Op-Op fruit is pretty powerful on its own, but now we kind of know its theme and what Law can actually do with it, it seems less godlike. His duel with smoker was also one of the few visually interesting sword duels in this show (unfortunately Zoro's "end it in one cut" style doesn't make for appealing framing).

I look forward to learning more about Law. He clearly has a chip on his shoulder about something, and I'd like to know what. Plus he's going to have to learn the power of friendship if he sticks around with Luffy for any longer.

Did anyone else think the new intro sounded like something out of Fruits Basket (or maybe some other shojo)? Because I did. Between the song and the way they had the camera slow-tilt up Law from Luffy and Nami's POV I thought "damn they be framing my boy like a love interest. good for him."

(I have also been seeing a lot of Luffy x Law stuff lately, so that did contribute to my perception of it. Not something I would actively ship, but I don't hate it)

I don't really have anything for this, or at least not that I can think of beyond like. Kaku from Galley-La, who seemed like a really chill dude until he wasn't lmfao. Maybe like. Usopp's gf from waaaaay way back in the beginning, though it's not even that I liked her and don't anymore and more that I just do not. Ever think about her lmfao. Usually my instincts aren't super wrong in this series, everyone I've loved I love still.

Again I don't really have anything for this, its less that I liked a ship and don't anymore and more that I've cycled through things I liked earlier that just don't really have my attention now bc the story has been off of them for so long. Usopp and his East Blue GF are like this, I used to be pretty hardcore Nami/Vivi, and I still really love the pairing!!! but I haven't seen Vivi in like. 400ish episodes? and so my attention has sort of cycled off into more recent/immediate things.

my ultimate favorite character™:

At the end of the day it's Luffy, isn't it? No matter how dearly I love anyone else, my heart always comes back to the best boy, oh captain my captain, I'd literally sail into hell for him. I think there's just something so beautifully, tenderly, viciously human about him, no matter where the story takes him, and I can't give the top spot to anyone else. There are lots of facets and contexts to which love and interest can be attributed and in other contexts the list might look different, but in terms of overall, objective favorites? It's Luffy forever. <3

prettiest character:

Genuinely not sure how to choose between Ace and Sanji and Law for this one. There are TON of like really really gorgeous people in this series by like varying metrics of attractiveness, but these three are like. The prettiest people I've ever seen, like. Got me on the actual floor every day, they're just breathtaking.

my most hated character:

I've got a couple of different answers for this bc it feels like I need to. Blackbeard, for literally everything he's done. Garp, for not being able to summon enough fucking humanity to tell a 10 year old that it's okay for him to exist, and that he isn't guilty of the sins of his father. Doflamingo, although this one is complicated by how interesting and necessary to the story I feel he is (juxtaposed with Blackbeard, who is v necessary to the story but is a spineless little cowardly worm that I'd like to squish with my shoe. 0/10 not interesting also killing him with beams).

How on earth could I possibly lmfaooooo I. Here I'm gonna cheat, there's one called the Episode of East Blue that's like a little movie of the beginning of the series. That is what I will choose. There are bits and pieces of other episodes that I like to go back and rewatch, but bc the story is told the way it is, everything gets spread out and so mostly individual episodes just have pieces parts of what I love. I could do favorite arc though, like. Water7/Enies Lobby I wish there was some way to scrub it outta my brain so I could watch it for the first time again, it's so fucking incredible I'll scream.

Hysterically, as much as I love it and am very pro Skypiea, I think in the scheme of everything I've watched up until now it's the lowest on the list? I wanna be clear, I fucking LOVED Skypiea, but like. If you pit it against like, Alabasta, or Water7, or Marineford, or 3D2Y, or Punk Hazard My Beloved, it just doesn't quite stand as tall.

Heyo guys ! this is my first multi part fanfiction and I hope that you will all like it =w=.  No TW for now apart for coming smut in next chapters~  This was originally a request by @soul-stealer-reaper​ . Thanks for requesting :) originally you asked for a scenario with rough NSFW where Law has a crush on a girl that the government is afraid of and that has high bounty. As this will have some parts, everything you asked for will come in the next chapters so no worries :’) ! I won’t hide that wrote quite freely tho, I hope that it’s fine.  Synopsis : You have felt unwanted for so long that you forgot the last time you felt like you belonged. Quite paradoxical, when you are one of the most wanted “criminals” in the new world. You cross paths with Law after joining the strawhats at Fishman Island to “kill some time” and you both feel a weird connection from the moment your eyes met, curiosity, hatred or desire, did it really matter as long as feelings were involved ? ---------------------------

The first time that Law saw you, he found you extremely annoying. He remembered that he saw your wanted poster somewhere, with one of the highest bounties that he has ever seen. Seeing such a high bounty made him raise an eyebrow at first, what could you have done to have the whole world on your back ? The second thought that came to his mind was that of detachement, then he flinched at that thought.

The first time that Law saw you in person was after his Allience with the strawhats. You stayed at the ship the whole time, you didn't even bother to follow others to punk Hazard or to help them with their plans. He thought that you were an extremely selfish person and you reminded him of the person that he hated most. That way you had of doing what you wanted without caring about others, the smirk you had on your lips at all times, never submitting, always acting so sure of yourself, it irritated him.

How could someone get such a strong reaction out of him ? He didn't even know, he always eyed you from afar and it was enough to know that you prfoundly, passionately got on his nerves.

You joined the strawhats in the Fishmen Island, finding your way to them and just asking to join. Luffy's simplistic demeanor meant that he accepted right away, not caring about who you were and not flinching at your high bounty.

You made it clear that you were just staying to be entertained, in fact, you didn't want to fight, you didn't want to help anyone, your curiosity was just peaked by Luffy, by that man that defied the world government, by that man that defied everyone at Marineford. You weren't impressed, but you just felt sympathy towards him and wanted to find some company.

You found what you were looking for, in fact, life with the strawhats was enjoyable, you didn't get along with Usopp or Nami. The former thought that you were « too scary » and would kill them in their sleep, the latter hated how little you were willing to cooperate.

You had your own reason, but nobody on that ship was able to grasp your personnality, you just had your own way of thinking, your own internal logic that nobody seemed to get. Who were you ? Why were you there and why was the whole world on your back ? All these questions were provoking Law, teasing him endlessly. His curiosity was growing day after day and you were always there, on a lounge chair enjoying the burn of the sun on your skin, not caring about anything else, not caring about him, not that he cared...did he ? You got on his nerves just by being there, he felt obseverd yet, he wasn't the kind of people to get flustered but your gaze was so intense, feline.

It was a soft night on the sunny, a few days before getting to Dressrosa.  On this night, the strawhats decided to gather around after dinner like always. They enjoyed socializing and spending time together, telling stories and playing silly games.  It was quite late so Momo was already sleeping. Everyone was on the deck enjoying some drinks and you were on the crow's nest, peaceful.

« Y/N-chaaawn~ » Screamed Sanji, making you look down. « Come have some fun with us, don't stay there on your own ! »

« - Yeah Y/N ! We're all having fun here. »  Said Luffy.

You jumped gracefully from the crow's nest just like a cat. You then looked around circularly before taking place between Law and Robin as she silently made some space for you. The atmosphere was light and everyone was enjoying themselves. Zoro was drinking bottle after bottle as Sanji was screaming at him. Usopp was telling you all for the tenth time about how he took down a sea king with his little finger and Luffy and Chopper were captivated by how cool that was.

You were just silently enjoying that sense of peace till Nami asked you out of nowhere

« Oh true Y/N, I actually never asked but I am curious, why is your bounty so high ? What have you done ? »

For a second your expression changed and everyone's eyes were on you. You just decided to tell them some kind of lie and you said that you killed a celestial dragon. Everyone looked at you in awe, killing a celestial dragon means that you had to escape from admirals. You excused yourself then saying you were tired, therefore going to sleep.

After hours of partying Strawhats went to sleep. You got out of the girl's quarter wearing only a night gown. Your thoughts were waltzing since earlier's events and you were looking melancolically at the ocean. The sound of the waves was so calming, you got close to the board of the sunny, placing your elbows on the wooden surface. You didn't notice it when Law came your way, he wasn't sleeping either, his sleeping schedule was always herractic. He was still intrigued by the lie you told earlier and by your overall attitude, something about you drew him towards you like a magnet.

-(Y/N)-ya...You didn't kill a celestial dragon, did you?

His voice was low and hoarse, stealing a murmur out of your lips. Your eyes met his, gray, icy. It was the first time he said your name outloud, actually, you briefly ever interacted since he got on this ship.

-Trafalgar ?..

You were wondering why did he bring this up, he never ever showed interest in you and you in him. In fact, now that you looked at him more in detail, you could say that he was an exceptionally handsome male with soft dark hair and a gloomy but all the more seductive cast of demeanor.

He could obtain any female he wanted at a snap of his fingers. You looked away and added :

-I thought that you disliked me. Why do you even ask ?

He raised an eyebrow, but got back to his stoic expression almost immediatly. He didn't know that it showed. However, you were wrong, he was starting to get intrigued by you, by your high bounty, by the detached way you acted. He was usually the one to observe and analyse people, but something about you...He couldn't put a finger on.

-I don't like lies.

-I have my own reasons...I'm sure there are a lot of things that you want to keep secret.

You hesitated then looked his side. He seemed calm still and just shrugged, ready to go back to his spot but then you added ;

-I lied because I didn't want to involve anyone in this...When I was just a child, I was a part of a dozen kids that were selected to take part into a « government experiment »...I don't want to go into details but...you clenched your fist, eyes fixed on an imaginary point in front of you I am the only survivor of that experiment...Therefore I'm being tracked... We were given power...To this day I don't know its extent...But I know that with just a blow of my fingers I could...you gasped How could a child be granted such a power ? Why did they have to choose for me ? I didn't want any of this....I never wanted to fight, I don't want to fight. I just wanted to be normal, to have a family, to feel wanted...haha...your laugh was bitter I mean, I know that I am the most wanted person you probably met, but I didn't mean it in that way. I hope that this satisfies your curiosity, Trafalgar Law.

Your eyes met, he looked in them, deep, searching for traces of honesty. You were telling the truth, there wasn't a doubt. He liked the way his name sounded out of your lips, it was the first time that he heard these three letters murmured by you. It's as if his first name sounded different, you had that way of saying it, almost like a whisper. You looked so vulnerable in your nightgown, so fragile despite your usual arrogant carapace. The fiery tigress looked like a sweet kitten and he was surprised by the way he just wanted to reassure you. He brushed that thought quickly and added, stoic ;

-I see, why did you tell me ?  

-You just asked me to, no ? I just felt like we were a bit alike...Ah. Also, quit asking me questions....This is starting to feel like a doctor examination...Now it's my turn to ask. Why do you even care ? I didn't think that the surgeon of death was such a curious person.

He scratched his chin, hesitating for a second, but then he just said bluntly ;

-The first time I saw you, I thought that you were extremely annoying.

- Ah ? you looked at him with a straight face, but still a bit offended If we're playing first impressions then...

-But I get it now.

He wasn't annoyed, in fact, he was just fascinated. It wasn't animosity that he felt but desire to know more about you. It wasn't that he was making sure that you're not endangering anyone, he wanted to look at you, it was just excuses upon excuses, rationalization for a case of irrational fascination. Now that the diagnostic was there, he could understand his emotions more clearly.

-You are talking in riddles but well...Whatever...Why did you form an alliance with Luffy by the way ? I wonder how you're able to handle all of his energy if you can't even stand mine haha.

-Let me correct you ; I don't hate you. He stops for a moment then he adds. There is a man that I would like to kill.

You turn now, back against the wooden border of the ship. You had an amused look on your face, wondering who was that man that he wanted to take down ;

-Now that's interesting ! Let me guess, who is it ?

-You are quite curious yourself, (Y/N)-ya...

He thought it was only fair, you opened up to him, he opened up to you, but telling you the details wasn't for now.

-So you are using the strawhats ?

-I am not sure who is using who. And what is your reason for joing the strawhats ?

His tone was stable as always. He didn't show it but he thought that it was cute of you, how you insisted and played along. You faced him, your eyes looking right into his and you weren't one to look down, oh no. Irisis into his irisis, looking for him and digging something into him. He didn't even know what you meant by such a look, once again, feline.

The salty smell of the ocean's water mixed with the odor of your fruity perfume made that moment a bit more enjoyable and he wasn't even the type of person to enjoy chatting.

Check mate, you made up for that horrible first impression. You added then ;

-You avoided my question by the way, why wouldn't I believe in « such romantic stories » ? What do you think you know about « a girl like me » ?

You got a bit closer, amused, and he thought that it was getting a bit dangerous. You had a fake woeful look in your eyes. His limbs were filled to the brim with that ocean perfume of yours mixed with that sweet taste, and for a second it was as if that odor operated some kind of spell over him, because a surprising thought occured to his mind ; what would your lips taste like ? Certainly salty like the ocean and a tad like peaches.

Unsettled and unfocused he said ;

In reality, he didn't want these thoughts to make a nest out of his head and decided to cut the conversation quite abruptly. Your rocked your body back, almost like a child and rose your eyebrows in a semi-sarcastic semi-dramatic way.

-I'm a bit too old for a bed time don't you think, Trafalgar ?

-Just Law.

-Yes yes ! L-a-w...See you tomorrow ! You're not as uptight as I thought.

He just said your name in a strict way, probably indicating that you needed to go. His tone was firm, stop teasing already.

You looked at him with a diminishing smile, pronouncing every single letter so slowly, stretching his name on your lips so that these three tiny letters seemed endless. You tossed your hair, and something about the whole situation, about your feminine charm, something about the breeze of the night made the both of you feel unbearable tension. The type of tension that happens between a man and a woman at three in the morning, that tension that makes every little detail, every look in the eyes, every brush of the fingers feel indecent.

A/N: it is right that this scenario is a Sanji x fem.reader one, but the first half will mostly be with Reader and Zoro, its Funny I promise 😀

It was such a lovely day, everything was going so well, the sun was shiny, the waves rocked into Sunny go and everyone was relaxing over the deck, it has been almost around 3 week since your last stop, and you need to dock by an island soon, basically because your ship was running out of supplies based on your gentleman cook's words.

However, no one could do anything in terms of finding the new island, all what you have to do is to sail and wait until it shows up. Gladly nothing seemed to interrupt the joyful yet peaceful time you were all having, except for a certain strawhat captain who couldn't stay still in his place like the others, " Oii Nami, when are we gonna reach a new island?! Why its taking so long this time!!", Luffy exclaimed to the navigator, "Soon Luffy, Soon, just be patient" sighed Nami as she Takes a look on the log pose in her wrist, since its has been a while since you left Punk Hazard and made an alliance with Law and his crew, he's been on Sunny with all of you until you all reach Zou safely and he can meet his crew. Few hours later, Nami sensed something in the weather as she got up from her place, a bit confused, " Oi Nami... what's wrong?" Called Zoro from the palce he was sitting in, " I smell clouds, a stormy ones too, but how.. the humidity is too low, there is no chance of stormy clouds to be formed", stated Nami in a worried tone "Actually, I heard that this phenomenon occurs between time to time in the new world's sea, so i guess you don't have to worry much Nami" you smiled at the Navigator as she went back to her seat.

Soon enough, the weather immediately changed just as Nami expected, but it wasn't rainy at all, it was just the lightings and thunders hittng around crazily. A huge fog appeared infront of your sights, nothing was visible, plus it was already dark bcs of the clouds, everyone was looking around, trying figure what where are they setting themselves in a guarding positions, ready if anything appeared out of Sudden, until Nami gasped loudly which turned everyone's attention to her, " W-What's w-wr-worng Nami?!!" cracked Usopp, " T-The log pose...its spinning around crazily", stated Nami, this is when Brook spoke through the crow's nest speakers, " Mina-san! Nothing is visible from here, but i can see a huge shadow, maybe its an island", Luffy got all excited and wanted to sail ahead, Of course Nami refused and told him to wait, no one is sure about what's behind the fog, plus they can't risk their life carelessly like this, so Luffy pouted and just sat there. During all of this, you got immersed a bit in your thoughts about the situation, you felt a tap on your shoulder and so you turned around to find your boyife Sanji staring at you with a concerned expression, "Are you okay (Y/N)-chan, you're so quiet", you smiled and replied, " Yes, I'm fine, i was just thinking about our current state", you assured him, " oh, did you figure out something?", He asked, " Oh yes i guess, I'll let you all know now", you turned yourself to your crewmates and called them to shift their attention to you, "Mina~, I think we can get out of this fog, since Brook have seen a shadow behind the fog, it means that there is definitely something behind there, I think we should go ahead just as what Luffy said earlier, and try to cross this fog, don't you think?" You suggested and Luffy's face lit up again bcs you agreed with him to go ahead, "See?!!! Even Y/N thinks I'm right" exclaimed luffy proudly, everyone else looked unsure about your statement and we're looking at each other until Jinbei spoke up, "Y/N is right, we won't gain anything if we stood here, plus its getting late, let's move ahead and if something showed up, I'm sure everyone could stand against it", everyone was motivated at Jinbei's compliment and this when Luffy ordered him to sail further.

Gladly, you were able to get out of the fog thanks to Jinbei's skills, but What made you all surpised is that, there was really something behind the fog, it turned out to be an island. Docking by it, you all decided to sleep after convincing Luffy since it was already late. After having a delicious dinner, everyone went inside their bed rooms, and You joined Sanji in your shared bedroom, sleeping peacefully in his embrace. However, this night wasn't peaceful as everyone thought, a sparkling purplish smoke slowly crepted its way to the thousand Sunny covering it. In the next morning you're eyes flattered opened, but something felt weird, you couldn't feel Sanji's warmth next to you, instead you heard bunch of loud snores, confused, you sat up feeling a slight breeze hitting your bare skin, but wait as you remember, you slept wearing Sanji's shirt last night, you looked down, and almost screamed if it wasn't for your hands covering your mouth last minute as you pulled the covers over you, trying to process what happened you touched your head and felt the absence of your long hair, then touched your left ear feeling 3 earings dangling from it, when you peeked down, you saw a long scar on your chest, this is when your heart dropped in your feet, turning around, your realized that you were in the boys headquarters, getting of the bed, you slowly wore a shirt and headed outside to your shared bedroom.

At the same time, in your shared bedroom with Sanji, Zoro's eyes flattered opened , he was uncomfortable bcs he's basically wearing a shirt, okay lets say it was your body after all so yeah , when he turned his head around, he saw Sanji sleeping peacefully next to him, and yes that scared the shit out of him, jumping out of the bed, he fell on the ground sweating trying to process how the hell he ended up here, this is when he realized that he's not in the men's headquarters, more than that, he felt his body kinda small, yet light and he has a long hair, he freaked out, he got up and ran to your dressing table and his jaw dropped when he saw his reflection, " W-what the-", he said as he rushed out to find his body, and BOOM!! The two of you bumped into each other falling on the floor. " Zoro You!!!!-", you " Y/N!! What the Heck!!!", You yelped at each other in surprise, the funny thing was that it was indeed that your bodies got swaped, however, it was just your souls, Zoro was in your body talking with your voice and the same was for you. Few minutes later after you both calmed down, you decided to sit up in the crow's nest to avoid other Strawhats for the meanwhile, "Okay so what are you gonna do?" He asked, " I don't know...we need to find a way to get our bodies back! *Sigh* but until then, we should act like nothing is wrong and-" you said but got interrupted by Zoro, "Hey! We can't keep quiet on this! I can't let that ero cook treat me as if it was you eww that's gross!!" He exclaimed, " But-But I can't let Sanji see me like this, its so embarrassing!" You said pouting, Zoro wanted to argue back at your statement, however, he couldn't say anything because he felt bad for you as he saw your pouty face. " Fine, but if it started to get weird Imma tell everyone, Now I'll start my workout session, you can leave if you want-" he said before getting his ear pulled by you, " Wait what?! Workout?!?! No no no Mr. Roronoa Zoro, you won't touch any of these as long as you're in my body, you maybe be strong, but remember You're in my body" you claimed, "Then you stay away from that ero cook, Don't do anything stupid while you're in my body as well" he said, and everything was settled like this.

To avoid any misunderstanding, you both stayed quiet away from other's sight except during meal times, on those times, you both shared glances at each other until your eyes fell on Law, you suspected him so you kicked Zoro who was in your body slightly to tell him that you need to talk individually with Law. Once the meal was done, you met Law down in the aquarium, actually you suspected him at the beginning for your body swap with Zoro, however, you knew well that Law wasn't the type to do such things out of sudden, but its not wrong to check. " Law-kun" you called the doctor who was super confused at the sudden honorofic from the swordman who was actually you, " I know you're confused, but...you see...-" you couldn't find the right words after all, it was embarrassing, Zoro noticed you getting flustered so he continued what you were trying to say, " Oi Torao, Are you responsible about this body swap?!" Zoro glared with your eyes, but Law was super confused, "What's wrong with you Y/N-ya? Why are you talking like this?" He asked Zoro, "Its Zoro!" Exclaimed Zoro, "Law-kun, you see, our bodies got swaped, Zoro is in my body and I'm in his, did you perhaps did this, if it was you please bring us back" you said, Now Law fully understood the situation so he simply stated, " Why would i swtich your bodies out of nowhere?", You and Zoro sighed and looked at each other, and soon you heared your Captain calling both of you because they're going to explore the mysterious island, leaving your problem aside for the mainwhile, you headed out and got ready to join luffy and the others.

Now the exploring team included everyone except for Franky and Jinbei who stayed on Sunny Go, walking between the bushes and trees, Sanji noticed how weird you were acting, in fact, you were walking away from him and never spoke to him ever since this morning, no hugs, no kisses, not even a good morning, he thought that you are tired or something, so to clear his doubt, he approached your figure having zero clue about Zoro being in your body, " Sweetheart, are you okay? You've been acting all weird ever since this morning, is there anything bothering you?" He asked with a concerned face, but he only got an annoyed semi-disgusted expression from you which had him confused, he thought that he was the reason for your quietness today, after all he noticed how have you been hanging around Zoro today, you watched him from the back but you couldn't stand that,you don't want him to blame himself for something that he didn't do, you thought that if you told him about your current body swap state, he might avoid both of you, but that's much better from getting his heart broken, so you stopped on your tracks clenching your fist, " W-wait! Mina...." You exclaimed lowering your head, everyone turned to you confused, your face started to get red, "Wait! Zoro! Your face is turning red!! Are you okay-" Nami said before you started talking back, " ITS (Y/N)!....its me ....(Y/N)..." Your Zoro like voice got lower and lower as you stated your name, and it was silent for the upcoming minutes, no one said anything, so Zoro broke this silence, " We Don't know how this happened and who's behind it...its just that we woke up this morning and our bodies were swapped", said Zoro as he stepped next to you in your tiny figure, everyone's eyes widened screaming with " EHhhhhhhhhhh?!!!!", But you didn't care, a certain blonde's reaction was the only thing you wanted to see, and as expected, he had his jaw dropped making the dangling cigarette fall down, " This...is ... impossible...no...no..." Sanji said beneath his breath, he stared at you and then at Zoro, his color Suddenly drained from his face, he lowered his head and said nothing but walked ahead everyone, " Oiii Sanji where are you going?!!" Called Luffy, " I will go from this side to explore, you can continue exploring from that side, I'll inform you if i found anything" stated Sanji as he disappeared between the trees.

You Knew that he would react like this, but why does your heart hurt so much? The tears began to form in the brim of your eyes and your silent sniffs were heared by everyone, they looked at you, they didn't like the expression on your face especially when you were in Zoro's body, you crouched and hid your face between your knees and started crying silently " He sure hates me now..*sniff*", "Oi (Y/N) Don't cry, I'm sure he doesn't" said Usopp, " Usopp is right, Sanji-kun is just confused (Y/N), I'm sure he knows that its not your fault" told you Nami as she tapped your shoulders. Zoro felt guilty, at first he didn't understand why would you keep quiet about the whole body swap situation, but now he knew why, " Oi (Y/N)!, Stop crying, I'm gonna get our bodies and that shitty cook back too" Said Zoro as he walked in the same direction that Sanji went to, " Then i guess i will come along too" stated Robin with her iconic smile, "I'll join you too" exclaimed Chopper, " Nice!! Robin and Chopper, Now I won't get worried over Zoro getting lost in (Y/N)'s body" giggled Nami, and this how the three of them got spreated from You, Nami, Luffy, Usopp, Brook and Law. You looked at them, feeling so touched, when you felt a tap in your shoulder, you looked up and Brook was smiling to you, " (Y/N)-san, Don't worry, everything is going to be alright", you noded in response and continued walking along with everyone else.

On the other side, Sanji was walking alone, and speaking to himself, " Kiso, Kiso Kiso!! Why did I stare at her like this?! Am I stupid, UGH!! This is not her fault, I have to look for this bastard who made my (Y/N)~chan Suffer like this". " OI Ero Cook!!" Called Zoro from away of course with your vocie, Sanji got chills at hearing this name from your angelic voice, ( and Literally looked like this👇🏻)

he turned back and angryly argued with Zoro, "Oiii Temae Marimo!, Stop talking like this in my (Y/N)-chan's body!", "HuH?! Don't order me around, you made (Y/N) cry!", exclaimed Zoro, and Sanji froze, he made his beautiful (Y/N)-chan cry, " She thinks that you hate her now" continued Chopper. "W-what....No no there is no way i would hate her just bcs of an unexpected incident like this I-", said Sanji when he got interrupted by Robin, " We know Sanji, you love her So much, but first let's get her and Zoro's bodies back, i think i know how" ,everyone looked at Robin who pointed at a medium size Castle located over a high hill, "What do you mean Robin-chan?" Asked Sanji, "I'm saying that Zoro's and (Y/N)'s body swap's cause can be from there, it seems suspicious, maybe they were effected by a type of magician spell", explained Robin, " But couldn't it be because of Torao's df? I mean he cant swtich bodies too" said Chopper, " We already asked him, it wasn't him", confirmed Zoro, " actullay its obvious that he's not the one who did this, back then at Punk hazard Toroa-kun swtiched your bodies,he didn't swap them, at that time your voices, abilities have all swtiched to the other person's body, however in (Y/N)'s and Zoro's case, their minds got swapped only, even their voices haven't changed", explained Robin again. Everyone understood the difference and decided to head to the abandoned strange castle.

Coming back to you and the others, You were walking ahead as well, and coincidentally spotted the castle, Nami thought in the same thing as Robin, in which, the cause of your body swap might be from that castle. It didn't take much time until you met with Sanji's Team infront of the castle's gate, the atmosphere was so akward, especially between you and Sanji, he didn't even look at you, you did the same too. Everyone was silent, until Sanji spoke up, " (Y/N)-CHAN!), I LOVE YOU! I'LL GET YOUR BEAUTIFUL BODY BACK So please.... Ehum... don't.. don't misunderunstand my previous reaction.....it wasn't intentional..." He said aloud not looking at you, a pinkish blush spreaded over your cheeks, and made a smile appear on your face. Form this point, the Monster trio went ahead first and the rest of you followed them to the abandoned castle, and it didn't take alot of time for you all to reach to the villian, who was a mid-aged magician. He sarcastically laughed at all of you, taking a looked at both of you and Zoro, he scoffed, " Well well, never thought that my spell would work essentially on pirates, especially the famous Strawhats pirates hahahahahahahahahaha", Sanji got more agitated, his vines even popped up, "You Bastard!! Bring (Y/N)-chan's body back!!" He yelped, but only to get spelled by the magician, " W-What the! I- I can't move!!!", Exclaimed Sanji, you along with Luffy Nami, Usopp and Chopper called out Sanji's name, the magician mocked once again, " of course, You won't be able to move, my spells are unbreakable, unless if i broke them myself, plus i don't need their bodies swapped anymore, I got enough negative energy from them, and its boring that everyone knows about it now" as he threw another spell over you and Zoro, However, Both of you fell down unconscious immediately, "ZORO!!! (Y/N)!!!!!" Screamed Luffy, Sanji wasn't able to move, he yelped your name desperately unable to do anything, the rest of the crew came infront of your unconscious bodies and protected them, " How dare you touch my Nakama!!!! I'll beat you!!!!", Said Luffy angrly, but Little everyone knew, your bodies came back to each other.

This is how the fight started between Luffy and the Magician, it was true that Luffy had a hard time adjusting to his attacks and repelling his spells, however, he mangaed to fight him until he sent the magician flying away from the castle, and since the magician went unconscious, the spell that was controlling over Sanji was broken, now he's free, he ran immediately to everyone who gathered around both of you, gladly Zoro was able to wake up quickly, So Chopper immediately called him with your name thinking that you're still under the spell, " (Y/N)!!! (Y/N)!!" He called with tears filling his eyes, " Oi Chopper its me Zoro, phew~ I got my body back" Zoro smiled like an idiot as he looks at himself, Sanji was relieved that Marimo is back to his body, but his eyes immediately turned to your unconscious figure, until you jolted a bit and your eyes flattered open, you holded his suit and pulled yourself to his embrace, " Sanjii....., Sweetheart I'm back....." You cried as you giggled, his arms immediately pulled you even closer, he kissed your head and then scanned you, " Are you feeling okay? Does it hurt anywhere? Let Chopper check on you-", he said until he got interrupted by your finger that was placed on his lips, " Shhhh.....I don't need check ups....just let us stay like this for a while, its enough to charge me" as you snuggled to him, Now Sanji felt more guilty bcs of his attitude towards you earlier so he muttered a sorry beneath his breath as he stroked your hair, but you shook your head, "Don't apologize, I would react like you if i was in your shoes... I know you meant no harm, so don't blame yourself", he was silent for few seconds, but then cupped your cheeks and leaned to give you a passionate kiss, it lasted for a while before hearing a Loud Ehum from a certain long nose guy, everyone giggled and decided to return to Sunny go leaving this cursed Island, of course your prince carried you in a bridal style all the way to the ship and showered you with affection for the rest of the night 💙🌌🙆🏻‍♀️

The development of Law’s relationship with Zoro - Part 4: Dressrosa, The Breaking Point (Aftermath)

Even though admiral Issho alongside with his men officially apologized to King Riku and the citizens, the king made sure the “outlaws” were hidden from marines. Straw Hats, Law, Bellamy and Kyros ended sheltered in Kyros’s home where he once lived with Scarlet and little Rebecca. First time in a long time, the allied pirates were together again. In the night, Sabo visited the house, but beside Zoro, Franky and Robin, everyone was sleeping. The four had a talk about Sabo’s past and the best time to leave Dressrosa before marines will attack them.

Law’s sleep position was much more relaxed and open than the one from the beginning of Dressrosa arc (chapter 794).  Maybe it was just the result of total exhaustion and injuries or maybe Law, after so long of stressing and worrying, finally could relax knowing that A) Doflamingo was in marine custody thus no longer a threat and B) he was safe around Straw Hats.

The available room was small but Law could choose any spot to sleep. Instead, he was shown lying close to drinking Zoro (by frame layout alone, again in between Roronoa and sleeping on bed Luffy, this time without any danger around). Zoro most likely planned to stay awake through the whole night for security measures (he has this habit of sleeping just 3 hours per night after all) and taught by experience, Law didn’t have any reason to doubt that if attacked, the swordsman would protect him, the same as he did during battle. 

Law didn’t even bother to pretend he was cautious or wary, he simply slept, trusting allies to take care of their safety.

With Zoro, Franky and Robin being the only one awake, there is a high probability they talked about the latest events. How their fights went, what they learned, what to focus on, what to watch out for in the future with angered Kaido as the next goal on alliance’s list. It’s hard to tell for sure if Robin told others about Law’s choice to stay behind and whether in victory or death, share Luffy’s fate. On one hand, it was a choice made under strong emotions, trauma and even the feel of responsibility for Straw Hat’s wellbeing. A choice made because of very personal matters. On second hand, exactly because it happened under such pressure it was the most sincere side of Law Robin had a chance to see for herself. She and Zoro are the least trusting members of the crew and that night was the best moment to discuss in detail what happened and in the process dispel any remaining doubts about Law as their ally. Both saw his determination and fighting spirit, knew he saved their crew members and kept Luffy out of harm's way despite his own injuries and finally, both had some understanding of Law’s hidden goal in Doffy’s destruction. They may not know the whole truth, just the nature of it, but that was enough because Trafalgar did not betray them. And well, he had the suicide feel about himself what could raise some concerns about him too. 

I personally think such talk could happen that night, when memories of battle were still fresh in their mind and everyone out cold beside the three of them. The exchange of information could be another reason for the change in Zoro’s behaviour.

For the three days, the Straw Hat-Heart alliance was left in peace by marines. Once again Law was exposed to Luffy’s antics but this time Zoro acted in a more open way, even showing his more usual irritation at other people’s odd behaviour, including his own captain:

Interestingly, there is a visible shift in the arrangement of characters positions - during battle it was usually Zoro-Luffy-Law and the dynamic changed mainly in face of danger. Now with upcoming frames somehow Law was put more often in the middle between the other Supernovas. Even though Trafalgar still kept some tangible distance from others, judging by their (not so strictly stoic anymore) behaviour, it seems like he and Zoro were now more comfortable around each other.

Then the navy finally made its move against pirates. Unlike Usopp, Zoro and Law didn’t show any distress. Bartolomeo and other fighters prepared themselves for such an occasion by securing for Luffy’s group a safe escape route. Instead of running away with his friends, Luffy decided to visit Rebecca - now a princess - and confront her about her family matters. 

Zoro reminded Luffy they don’t have time, so he better get it done quick while the rest will wait in eastern port...

and then again, run in the wrong direction.

At this point, Law may have a good suspicion about Zoro’s no sense of orientation (chapter 797). And who knows, maybe he ran alongside Zoro (on picture below, behind Kinemon and Robin), to make sure the infamous Pirate Hunter did not wander unexpectedly somewhere else… that, or both planned to linger behind and secure the group retreat.

The fellow fighters came to their aid, keeping marines far away from Straw Hats. At the same time, Law disappeared without a word, to find and confront recently arrived on the island Sengoku (unless he did mention his intention to Zoro, while they ran side by side??). Frankly, the manga did not provide the reaction of Zoro nor any other member of Straw Hat crew to Law’s disappearance, so it’s impossible to say if they were worried about him or simply trusted in his strength to return on his own on time.

Meeting with Sengoku was one of the most important breaking points for Law. As it turned out, the former fleet admiral treated Donquixote Rosinante - Law’s savior - as a son. And for thirteen years did not understand why his beloved son didn’t follow the order to stay away from Minion Island. 

“One day… a soldier I knew died. He was someone I cared about, someone who meant something to me. I took him in as a boy… and treated him like a son… He was as honest and upright a person as I ever knew… and a valuable, trustworthy subordinate. But there was one time, just once in his life, that he lied to me. I had been betrayed… but there must have been a reason for it. Four things disappeared in the chaos of that fateful day. The Barrels Pirates, the life of my subordinate, the Ope-Ope fruit… and a boy with White Lead disease who was with the Donquixote Family at the time.”

Law admitted he was the boy and confirmed that Rosinante left his post and died because of him. Admitted also he didn’t know if the way he lived was what Cora wanted.

First time in 13 years, Law was assured that there wasn’t any hidden goal in Cora’s decision to save him. The man saw a dying, hurt child with the spark of his brother’s madness and decided Law was worth loving and dying for. It was unconditional love, without any “if” or “but”. The “D.” name and the usefulness of Ope Ope no Mi did not matter. Even stopping Doflamingo meant then little. The only thing Rosinante wanted was to save Law and make him finally free. Sengoku literally told Law to not “attach a reason to the love you’ve received”. 

Apparently, english “I love you” does not carry the whole meaning of the original phrase “Aishiteruze (愛してるぜ)”. Rosinante’s declaration was along the “I can’t live without you” level of loving someone (x). Now, after so many years of hiding from Donquixote Pirates, planning and scheming and living just to kill Cora’s murderer, Law finally understood the depths of Rosinante’s love. The breaking point is that: Law at last knows (accepts) he was unconditionally loved and now, is free from Doflamingo for good. He can allow himself to finally live without doubts and regrets the way he wants, without a sense of failing some unknown to him expectations. And I think, to some degree, it is the reason why Law’s secretive / introverted behavior changed into a more open, relaxed act around Zoro and Straw Hats. Because he finally could relax, be comfortable with himself. 

Due to danger from admiral Issho, Law couldn’t spend more time with Sengoku and had to run to the rendezvous point. Surprising, no Straw Hats waited for him (in the sense, weren’t shown in the frame). Even more surprising is the lack of Zoro between former colosseum fighters in the frontline of the fight. Anyway, Luffy showed up soon after Law but instead of dodging the blind admiral, attacked him. Because to be Pirate King he must face everyone: Warlords, Admirals and Emperors and beat them down.

Zoro in general agreed with Luffy’s reasoning (chapter 799) but did not exactly understand the way Luffy fought against Issho, telling his blind opponent what kind of attack he was going to use. The admiral himself was very surprised by that too, but ultimately accepted and even respected Luffy’s weirdness. In the end, Issho managed to send Luffy flying - what happened to be a favorable circumstance for allied fighters. They catched Luffy and despite Straw Hat’s protest, dragged him to safety. Zoro was happy about that too, but for a different reason - he wanted to take Luffy’s place to fight with a powerful enemy. Bartolomeo thankfully managed to stop the battle-lusting warrior.

Law’s reaction to that event wasn’t shown but once again he had a chance to see Zoro’s insanity when it came to fighting a strong enemy. Zoro and Luffy in that regard were very similar to each other. 

Straw Hats-Heart alliance finally got on ship, the Yanta Maria and with the help of people of Dressrosa (who under the pretext of chasing the pirates away, were actually protecting them from the admiral's deadly attack), the alliance sailed away safely. 

Zoro and Law's reaction to Yanta Maria was visibly distinctive from pleasant shock of others (open jaws). Zoro smiled, Law, judging by the frown, looked unimpressive. Both their reactions were more quiet and toned down.

On the ship, Bartolomeo and fellow fighters asked Luffy to drink with them “cups of Father and Sons”, to officially accept them as his underlings.

Luffy of course refused, because he A) didn’t like alcohol and B) didn’t want to be captain of such a big fleet. Zoro warned his allies they wasted time trying to change Straw Hat’s mind (and to just give the sake to him). Yet the fighters were ready to force Luffy into accepting the drink. Further Luffy’s explanation only confused everyone (beside Straw Hats) even more. Including Law.

And then Law’s attention immediately turned to Zoro, who, taking advantage of the opportunity, started drinking sake from Luffy’s cup to Usopp’s displeasure.

Finally, Luffy managed to explain his reasoning:

“If I ever think we’re in trouble… I’ll shout for your help. Then you can come save us! I don’t have to be a boss or a great pirate, right?!  If you’re in trouble, call for us!! We’ll come and help you!!! I won’t forget about how we fought Mingo together!!

And the Seven Leaders admired and accepted Straw Hat’s decision. But since Luffy was all about freedom, they simply followed his example. Whether Luffy liked it or not, they decided on their own to make him their boss.

Law thus witnessed the founding of the Great Fleet of Straw Hats. And yet, somehow it looked like he was more interested in Zoro’s drinking sake behind Luffy’s back.

When party started, everyone celebrated their great victory (chapter 800):

Luffy, like always, was in the centre of everything. Law, though smiling, kept his distance from Zoro and other partying people. But soon after that Law’s personal space was invaded by Zoro.

The anime expanded this little moment, first showing Zoro approaching Law sitting alone, asking to join the rest. And then, ignoring any protests, just threw his arm around the other man’s neck. Law’s face spoke how much he minded such treatment and had no dignity about that:

During parties, Zoro always spent his time sharing alcohol with people who fought side by side with him (Paulie, Water 7/Enies Lobby) or actually were his opponents (Braham, Skypiea). Zoro didn’t have a habit of forcing people to drink with him or asking (introverted) person who clearly wanted to be alone to join the bigger group. He himself rarely joined larger groups and usually just sat somewhere far from the noise with a few people around. So, Zoro most likely understood Law's isolation since he used to do so himself. Here though he was the one invading Law’s personal space and not giving a damn if the man was happy about it or not. On second thought, if Law didn’t want to join the others, it made sense for Zoro to join him. In a sense, it could be Zoro’s way to break the ice between them. What is even more interesting, considering the palpate distance he kept from Law at the beginning of the story. The second important detail - Law could easily get out of that situation by using Ope Ope no Mi powers. A simple switch of the places and he would be free for good. Yet Law remained, despite how awkward and/or outside of his comfort zone it was.

We may only wonder what made Zoro act in such an uncommon way. Was that respect for Law forged in the heat of battle? Did it bother him that Law after everything was done, still isolated himself? Did it look like Law felt discomfort to be around people he barely knew or interacted with and who all pledged loyalty only to Straw Hats, thus Zoro decided to keep him company? 

Zoro initiating physical contact in itself is an uncommon occurrence. Because as much as Straw Hats pirates  can - and will - invade Zoro’s personal space, Roronoa is not exactly the  type of person open to such contact. Once again, the shift between the beginning (visible distancing) and ending (invading Law’s personal space) of the Dressrosa arc is tangible. Somehow between one and the other, breaking point in Law and Zoro’s relationship happened and changed for good their dynamic. What was seen day(?) after the party (chapter 801):

Law and Zoro sat close to each other, the previous distance gone. Zoro was reading newspapers, indifferent to his surroundings - instead of facing and observing the Heart captain, like he used to do at the beginning. Both men looked like they were comfortable around each other, even despite - or maybe, because of - the shared (forced?) drink. The change in Zoro’s behaviour is diametrical.

Like was said at the beginning, Dressrosa Arc is one big breaking point. It changed the status quo of pirate alliance and Luffy’s position, from rookie pirate to leader of a powerful fleet. It will lead to the complete dissolution of the Shichibukai system and for good push the main hero into collision with Emperors. For Law alone, Dressrosa was like opening old, still not healed wounds but also so needed a moment of catharsis. He was ready to die there, but was saved time after time by allies. In a sense, it was the final test of how strong the alliance was before facing angry Kaido.

Law changed a lot through the course of action. Or maybe not really changed, but like allowed himself to show hidden emotions and trauma. The cold-blooded, scheming pirate who planned to use Straw Hats crew (and spare his own) turned out to be a man willing to sacrifice himself to finish what his savior started but couldn’t do himself. Who came to believe in Straw Hats, as the ones who made miracles happen. Not only Luffy, but the crew as a whole. 

The same as Zoro finally saw Law in hopeless, awkward, sometimes outright humiliating situations (anime extension), Law’s impression of Roronoa cracked too. No sense of direction, insanity to laugh at the dangerous enemy and enjoying the thrill of fight, the fondness of alcohol -- all of this created anew image. This time more flawed but at the same time, more real, human. Despite the flaws and awkwardness of previous situations, both proved to be strong-willed, cool-headed warriors one may rely on in difficult times. Zoro stretched out his hand to him, broke the ice, abandoned the distrust that distanced them for a long time. It seems like Law was finally fully accepted by Roronoa and all unsaid things between them settled down for good. 

At the same time, the arc showed their similarities. Both were the quiet ones, the type of people who kept distance from others. The ones with pragmatic thinking in contrast to Luffy’s chaotic madness. Zoro for sure was a helpful presence during running from enemies and meeting a weird fighter after another, especially since he did try to keep his captain in check. That it didn’t work for a long time is a different matter.

Anyway, looking at the beginning and end of Dressrosa arc, there is a visible change in how Zoro and Law acted around each other. How the neutrality changed into something more comfortable.

Here comes things worth examining a bit more. 

↪ The Seven Leaders pledged loyalty only to Straw Hat Pirates. As long as alliance between Luffy and Law will work, this is not a big issue and to take down all Emperors, every additional help was good. But if ever those two pirate crews will fall apart, Luffy literally just gained a powerful fleet, thus has advantage over rival captain.

↪ Straw Hats & Heart captain worked together to take down Doflamingo. Luffy of course was the one that finished the enemy, but overall, Luffy’s victory was a result of teamwork between pirates, colosseum fighters, marines and common people. As much as Trafalgar Law was well known as the Shichibukai, Luffy and Zoro were in fact the ones that made the biggest impression on people (colosseum fight, defeating Doffy & destroying Pica) and actually interacted during battle with other fighters. Frankly, both showed their charismatic nature that made people believe in and follow them. Luffy became the hope of the whole country. Zoro was the spark that united people to stop the birdcage and brought Luffy the needed time to recover. Law is powerful and has a reputation and knows how to deal with different people to get what he wants, but he is not really good at interhuman relationships in general. Luffy gains friends on the left and right. Zoro, despite being asocial, rude and introverted person, has the impressive air about himself that often makes him look like the coolest person who is not afraid to challenge everything and everyone; for whom impossible does not exist (destruction of Pica, stopping birdcage). Law… kinda lacks in that department.��

↪ Because of the made impression on other fighters, there is a big chance Law may have heard some retelling of the events during the party. Luffy and Zoro aren’t men who brag about their exploits, but Bartolomeo and his companions had a lot to share about battle. With so much alcohol and so many strong individuals that were very impressed by Straw Hats deeds, it seems logical that tales of battle would sooner than later be told. Especially by devoted fans like Bartolomeo. Zoro’s daring plan to defeat Pica and stop Birdcage could be recalled by those fighters who saw it themselves, filling Law with missing fragments of the battle.

↪ Frankly, shonen mangas have this one upside down that the final boss must be defeated by the main hero. Which means that characters who actually could do something useful (damaging) to the enemy are pushed to the sideline. Like Robin, who can snap a person's neck from far away thanks to Hana Hana no Mi. Or Zoro, who could join the other Supernovas in their fight against Doffy (either before Law’s threatening injury or after, instead of stopping the birdcage). Or dwarf princess could heal Luffy for a few minutes to finish Mingo once and for good. It’s not exactly a complaint, because it's the standard formula of One Piece story, but because of such, Law and Zoro were pushed into the background, for Luffy to shine. For most of the arc, Luffy was the main figure in the dynamic of Supernova Trio. They did not interact much in words, but the layout of frames - the character position and background activities - created the feeling of the slowly forming bond between Zoro and Law. Now, after Doffy’s defeat, there is a shift next to whom Trafalgar sticks (Zoro) and Luffy is unnecessary for them to interact on their own.

↪ Law didn’t care how high was the newest reward for his head. In contrast, Zoro was pleased to learn his own increased a lot. Even asked for alcohol to celebrate. What could turn into another moment of  Zoro dragging Law into drinking.

↪ The last detail (though I’m afraid it may vary from one translation to another) is the way Law addressed his allies. Luffy usually was the Straw Hat-ya. The girls were titled as Nami-ya and Nico-ya. Usopp as Nose-ya, Sanji as Black Leg-ya, Chopper as Tony-ya. Unless I missed it, I don’t think Law addressed Zoro directly to use either his name or made up nickname. They really didn’t talk much throughout the course of the story. There is a chance it happened after freeing Dressrosa - either during the three days when everyone waited for Luffy to wake up or during the party, once alcohol was shared. Zoro, depending on translation, called him either Law or Traffy (or similar form of the nickname).

With the chapter 802, the Dressrosa arc can be considered closed. Now, the Straw Hats-Heart pirate alliance sail to meet their missing crewmembers and to prepare for the fight with angry Kaido. How truly comfortable Law and Zoro became around each other will show the next place: Zou.

AHHHHH, you already know how it iiiiiiiis! Still, the other nine should be interesting ;) Some of these are genuine crack ships, while others may be popular in the fandom but according to my Ao3 searches seem to be underrepresented.

Number Ten- Kankuro and Hinata Hyuga

LOL, this one is so off the rails that you can’t even find a GIF of these two. Do NOT ask me how this happened; it was 3 a.m. and I was tired and I just thought “Huh. The aesthetic” and this crack ship of all crack ships was born. I intend to write a story based on this ship one day, but it’s gonna be in the vault for a hot minute. I dunno, something about grumpy sand boy soft for sweet Hinata just has me. 

Number Nine- Fumikage Tokoyami and Kyoka Jiro

This, again, is a product of random 3 a.m. thoughts. Kamijiro is one of my ultimate OTPs, but Tokoyami and Jiro just have this... Vibe... That speaks to me. Just imagine them in a rock band together. Actually, you don’t have to, because that was a whole arc! My mind is weird, y’all. 

Number Eight- Izumo Kamiki and Ryuji Suguro

Holy shit, a GIF exists- anyway, this is more borne from the recent chapters of the manga, where the two have developed a friendship. I dunno, they’re both grumpy, I feel like they would feed off each other, especially when busting Renzo’s balls. Power couple. 

Number Seven- Natsu Dragneel and Juvia Lockser

Um, fire and water, hello? Obviously my OTPs are OTPs for a reason, but if things had gone down differently, I totally think Natsu and Juvia would have a great spark. Aesthetically they compliment each other, at least, and I just think they’re neat... 

Number Six- Shiemi Moriyama and Amaimon

I always thought Amaimon was an interesting character with the potential for growth. Yes, he treated Shiemi like hell when they first met, but their later interactions, especially when her arc is about to hit its climax in the coming chapters, intrigue me. They are undoubtedly connected in some way and I think Amaimon is going to make up for his wrongs when it comes to her. Whether or not I will shed tears over it is yet to be decided. Regardless, I think they fact they are both themed in Earth and plants is fun and I ship weird things. That is all. 

Number Five- Gray Fullbuster and Lucy Heartfilia

A random anon request actually turned me on to this. Before, I mainly focused on the Big Four ships, but after writing them, I can see the appeal. Their insecurities in particular make for a fun dynamic, and I could easily see how they could have been canon if things were different. Of course, NaLu and Gruvia are still beautiful ships, but this one is just a nice alternative that I fancy. 

Number Four- Nami and Ace

Another request dropped this on my radar. Nami is fun to ship with anyone, but the long-distance and ultimately tragic would-be canon relationship is just good damn food. Plus, their personalities just mesh well, I think. They would get up to no good together and I love it. 

Number Three- Katsuki Bakugo and Ochako Uraraka

I’m honestly shocked at how little following this has. I thought Uraraka x Iida would be a rare-pair, but it dwarfs this ship by comparison! Ever since their Sports Festival fight, it’s clear that he respects her (canonically, he is the only one besides Kirishima that he actually calls by name most of the time, and that’s important to his character IMO) and Uraraka understands a lot of Bakugo most people, even Midoriya at a point, doesn’t. I’m a sucker for grumpy boy soft for his adorable GF, and these two fit the bill. I think they make a nice dynamic that would be interesting to see. 

Number Two- Shikamaru Nara and Sakura Haruno

I happened to see a fandom event going on and thought, hey, what the hell, I’ll write for it. Holy cow. Easily has risen to the top of my rare-pairs. The potential is just so solid between the two of them. Intellectually, they mesh well, and they are both particularly haunted individuals, and that makes for some damn good potential interactions. ShikaTema is goals, but, this is easily my next favorite Shikamaru ship. 

Number One- Nami and Trafalgar Law

This was obvious, by a long shot. You and @searchfortheonepiece have me hooked on this drug. Just, the banter between them? Absolutely golden. I’m on this train for life, man. Would ship these two in Hell and be proud of it.

random headcanon: 

      -Law can not sleep alone at night. I am not saying it to romanticize things but after years of fear of being killed because of the White Lead Disease and later on for stealing the Ope Ope no Mi from Doffy he became extremely paranoid and could barely sleep alone.

      - His crew is aware of his insomnia because whoever is on night watch or walks past his room, Law is always awake unless he’s on deck with the one who’s on night watch or taking a nap with Bepo.

      - Bepo obviously knows why his captain has insomnia and his paranoia. That doesn’t stop this polar bear from encouraging his captain to sleep or covering him with a blanket when he actually does fall asleep 

unpopular opinion: Law is not 100% nice like he’s portrayed as. Sure this man has saved Luffy at Marineford but have you not seen that sadistic grin on his face when he said Luffy’s operation is going to be painful? Or in Punk Hazard had not been for Nami and Chopper’s insistence he would have left the kids there to suffer. Hell he knew (or had some inkling of how) to get the drugs out of their system to prevent the kids from going crazy. Law is a great character but people need to stop making him into a 100% good guy, sleep deprived guy who hates bread.
