Dean is still in love with Cas. Nobody else is ever going to make Dean feel the same way that anally retentive control freak did.

Castiel Novak is developing a worryingly stalker-like habit. He only wants to know that Dean's okay and getting on with his life. At least, that's what he's convinced himself the nightly detours past Dean's apartment are about. It's a pity Castiel can't get past the end of their relationship, but he knows Dean was it for him until Castiel blew their relationship up over nothing.

Friday, when I was feeling very lonely.

Do you have kids?

Don't have a partner and I would be an overstimulated, impatient mess, so no.

What sports do you play/have you played?

rollerskating! Been doing it for two years starting as a total beginner, and it's been wonderful for my mental health, doing something physical away from screens/not using my eyes too much, and meeting amazing new people totally unrelated to my dayjob. I also like swimming and badminton but tend to do it like once a year.

Do you use sarcasm?

No. Never. 😐

What is the first thing you notice about people?

Physically: if they've got a cool queercoded haircut, piercings/tattoos, or intriguing personal style. Personality wise: kindness, patience, good at listening to and making space for the quiet people in the room.

yes. I like both, probably leaning a tiny bit more towards happy endings in what I watch and read more regularly, because I'm more a ghost/gothic person than a gore/bodyhorror person. And I love a love story *studies them like a bug*

Collecting books, trying to find time to read said books, talking about books to my friends. The beginning of the big #SPNArtCollab #SPNLoveIsLove! Whoop!

What is it? Artists take turns adding their own pieces to the canvas until the entire canvas is full. So Artist A starts with one piece on the big canvas, then sends it to artist B. Of course, beforehand the next artist will have been asked to join the collab. B will add their piece and will send it to artist C, and so on. Is there a theme? Yes, there is! The theme is 'Love is Love'. Artists are free to interpret that any way they want. It could be love in any shape or form and with any character from Supernatural. Any rules? Well, only a few. Most are very minor and the art comes with a small document with the rules. The main ones are: Keep it SFW and no depictions of anything illegal. Each artist gets 30 days max. Respect other artists' pieces but some minor blending and overlap are allowed. What happens next? We will sell or auction the finished product to raise money for the Trevor Project. Even if we raise only a small amount, it is well worth it! Plus, it is amazing to have a piece of art that is made by multiple talented fandom artists! Where is it now? I finished my piece a couple of days ago and now it's @wigglebox turn to add to it.

hey look, receipts of 2po being a lying sack of shit about the 5k scripts

Listen guys. We know Vinnie and Kelios are a piece of shit. But remember when I called out 2po and wigglebox both lying about the 5k script situation, and that they yelled directly that 2po was the one that convinced them to do it, and 2po said I made it up? Enjoy this May 2021 conversation of them ripping 2po an asshole about just that. What, you think they did it for fun? What do you fucking think they were mad about?

They knew I price spiked them for laughs, that's why they were mad at me. But him? Look at it. Read it. Yeah, they're pieces of shit, but so is 2po. They all fucked each other over consciously. At least I just saw an opportunity to giggle and screw them, I didn't go making them promises.

And 2po's been fucking over our lane since he fucked himself over there with his fellow Jared stans, and wigglebox has been helping him fuck you all over, then they've all been lying to you about the past, such as the script incident I described previously he denied that you can see the fallout of RIGHT HERE.

That entire. Server. Is con artists. That have taken this fandom for a ride. For tens. Of thousands. Of dollars. And only after people lit them up for months did they try a charity, but everyone was bottomed out, and even waving 20 of their scripts signed that took about 1K each they've raised [checks notes] about 2K. So uh. Great work. Oh and they're still asking for more donations for gold packages so they can get more autographs. BTW they are reblogging their posts asking for donations to themselves WHILE supposedly trying to raise money for trevor project. Because that's not a conflict of interest or self focused or telling at all.

But I pull receipt after receipt about this dude, then he just bullshits some nonsense up about what I said without ever having a single receipt, and yet people still talk to the motherfucker asking them for thousands while peeing himself about my tip jar sized patreon to pay back my video work. Optionally. Unlike their services the money isn't mandatory for anyone to enjoy the fun stuff. I make it free. And give out my scripts free. I've never asked a dollar for any of the scripts I've released. We DID crowdfund for the finale before we got the digital deal so we never even exchanged that cash lmao i don't even remember who paid the 25 but damn, it was 25 bucks.

Read as: They've been free cruising top con packages on fandom dime then shoveling off the backwash change on it by re-selling it to the same "customers" of fandom and tossing a really good cause pennies of what they could have gotten like walmart taking a tax write off on the button you push at the register.

Castiel has been hard-pressed not to openly stare at the man across the saloon. He has a certain charisma that captured his attention and has kept him enthralled since he first heard that boisterous laugh and saw him burst through the swinging doors. Out of the corner of his eye, he watches the man approach the bar to order drinks for his table, grinning and exchanging pleasantries with the woman behind the counter. He then produces a small wooden object from his pocket and hands it to the barkeep. The older woman visibly melts and reaches across the wooden counter to affectionately pat the man’s cheek a few times before placing it with a couple other carvings behind the bar. While he’s waiting on the round of whiskey, Castiel takes in the details of him: his sandy brown hair just pokes out from underneath the Stetson, and his face is tan from time spent in the sun. Anyone could see, judging by his dirt-clad boots and well-worn, frequently mended clothes, that he works outside, and it has made the dusting of freckles on his nose and cheeks more prominent. Before he can stop himself, Castiel thinks about how far down those freckles go. Before returning to his table where he has been talking loudly and playing cards, the freckled man takes a step toward Castiel, who is still blatantly staring and wanting. The cowboy chuckles as he slides one of the glasses to him, knuckling at Castiel’s chin. "Need something to fill that mouth?" the man observes in lowered tones, undisguised hunger in his gaze, before returning to his group. Castiel closes his mouth and raises his hand to the place where the familiar ghost of the man's touch continues to warm his skin. As the man rakes in a large pot during a round of cards, he flips off the hat of a fellow player and throws his head back in laughter, his own hat falling off in the process. The redhead next to him picks it up and shoves it on his face, causing him to flail as he is blinded and knocked off balance. The whole table and a few others — including Castiel — chuckle at the antics. It’s like their own comedy routine. They are a rowdy bunch and Castiel’s eyes are drawn toward them. He is perhaps a little envious of their camaraderie but it brings him comfort just watching them interact. Besides that, the anticipation is palpable.

I want a Supernatural video game. Something old school SNES side scroller style.  But most importantly, I want it to start out with Sam as the playable character, and then Dean becomes a playable character, and then you can switch back and forth. When Castiel shows up in the game, he’s not a playable character, he’s a special attack that Dean can summon.  And Sam’s special attack would have something to do with his demon blood powers.  And then around the season 6 era, SURPRISE! CAS becomes the playable character for a while, and then for the rest of the game, you can switch between the three of them except during story beats where it has to be one of them specifically.

There’s a whole Wayward DLC too.

This whole backlash against printing fics irks the fuck out of me, and I got some shit to say about it. Mostly "Fuck You" but here's some nuance:

On the surface, I understand where the naysayers are coming from. It's a legitimate fear that making a profit from fanworks will bring down the C&D Hammer on fandom. I get that. Do not put on the One Ring, or you'll risk the Eye of Sauron.

But here's the thing. Fuck capitalism. Fuck digital only. We're living in the digital dark ages, and 100 years from now huge swathes of our history, fact and fiction, will be lost to our descendants because there will be no physical copies of our lives for them to find in old libraries and boxes in the attic, etc.

Creators deserve physical copies of their creations, and so do the other people in the world who love them.

I don't want to profit from letting people print my fics. That's why I use Lulu, since they have an option to set zero profit and make the links hidden so only fans in the know can get a copy. Other printing sites I've looked at in the past don't have those options. In fact, the first time I ever even thought about printing one of my stories was when I won NaNo for the first time and one of the prizes was a coupon for 3 free printings of your story. HELL YEAH, that's a copy for me, a copy for my beta, and a copy for the artist who made the cover for me. Perfect! But I ended up not using that coupon, because the site required I set a profit margin, and did not have an option to make it private. Ummm, no thanks. Not worth the risk. And even though the profit margin could be set as low as ten cents, I did not want to make ANY money from my fic, because I know that would be breaking Fair Use rules. I found Lulu instead, and decided to let other people get copies too, because I'm nice. And if I don't, it's not like I can stop them from doing it themselves, no matter how much I'd rather they not do that.

But that's not good enough for the Reporting Trolls. Their argument is that it's not possible for it to be completely profit free, since Lulu makes a profit on the printing costs and the shipping carriers make a profit off the shipping costs. Someone is making a profit, and that's unacceptable, even if that someone is not Me, The Person Who Made The Printing and Shipping Worth Paying For.

I would like anyone who thinks that to delete your accounts where you read fanfiction. AO3, Wattpad, FFNet, LJ, Dreamwidth, hell even Tumblr for the short ficlet stuff that only gets posted here. Because even if the website it self isn't profiting, (AO3 for example), the companies that sold them their server hardware made a profit. Since utilities are privatized, the electric company that runs those servers are making a profit. IF YOU PRINT IT ON YOUR PRINTER AND PUT IT IN A 3 RING BINDER, the paper, printer, and ink manufacturers made a profit from your dinky little print out. The companies that build all the parts for your computer or your smartphone made a profit on your portal to the internet, who profits from your monthly subscription, just like your electric company profits from the power it takes to run your pc or charge your phone battery. IT'S A SLIPPERY FUCKING SLOPE, AND YOU NEED TO LEARN WHEN TO BACK AWAY FROM THE LEDGE.

We live in a Capitalist Hellscape, and if a company could figure out how to charge you to breathe and for every single beat of your heart, they'd fucking do it. So get off your goddamn high horses with this "wELL SoMEonE iS makINg PrOFit" bullshit. Or if you truly believe that, shut off every account you own, turn off your utilities, and go live in the woods and make up your own goddamn stories, which you can only share orally to the local wildlife. They give kudos by biting you and giving you rabies.

(not to mention; these assholes don't go after fanartists who are ABSOLUTELY making a profit off their work. but noooo, Flirty can't format a fic for print and allow other people to pay for the printing service and shipping, while never seeing a penny of that herself, despite all of the GODDAMN WORK I HAVE PUT INTO IT, WRITING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE INCLUDED FUCK YOU VERY MUCH. fuckyoufuckyoufuckyoufuckyoufucky--)

Summary:

Dean Winchester has problem. He knows he should be moving on from Castiel but he isn't. Dean can't. Not even when he accepts that the break-up has taken it's toll on him. Dean is still in love with Cas. Nobody else is ever going to make Dean feel the same way that anally retentive control freak did. Castiel Novak is developing a worryingly stalker-like habit. He only wants to know that Dean's okay and getting on with his life. At least, that's what he's convinced himself the nightly detours past Dean's apartment are about. It's a pity Castiel can't get past the end of their relationship, but he knows Dean was it for him until Castiel blew their relationship up over nothing.

I loved this story from the get go, even in its roughest draft. Based on one of my absolute favorite Taylor Swift songs, it was a treat to be able to illustrate for this fic! The only way to get me to truly love some angst is with a happy ending, and I'm always a sucker for these two being idiots! I hope you enjoy this story as much as I did!
